yesterday I got 3 missed calls on whatsapp from a complete stranger in some third world country. I messaged asking who is this and this person then offered me a temporary job. i blocked and reported the number. Today, the same thing. someone messaged me for a job. They got english names but they are not from english speaking countries. I think someone got my number and leaked it to some sort of scammer ring on like telegram or whatsapp group. what to do?

I don't know if it's happened to you, but I believe that almost everyone here has been through similar situations, well a guy contacted me today with a proposal that was clearly a scam! So right away I replied that I wasn't interested, that "call me and I'll send you money later" scam. He knows? So after I said no, I blocked him on WhatsApp, he sent me a message, threatening me with leaking my number on sex sites if I didn't answer the call or if I didn't send pics, I just laughed and told him to do whatever he wanted, because the number I give to work is not my personal number! I wasn't worried about it, but it makes me so mad!!! What gives him the right to think he can threaten me?? Working with sex does not give anyone the right to think they can do whatever they want with me! Well I just needed to vent đź« I'm still mad about it!

2024.05.14 18:09 wmd3 Advertised as new Apple Watch 9. Received a used & locked 8. Refund refused!
 | Posting as a warning to avoid making expensive purchases with Amazon because apparently they are selling trash now and refusing refunds when called out. I saw some other posts about customer service lying recently, and can confirm it happened to me with this experience yesterday. I have heard about Amazon selling used as new electronics, but figured it was rare and an easily fixable issue by just initiating a return. Seller was Amazon.com, to clarify, not a third party. Upon receipt, I went to set it up and reached a point where the set up process required me to activate the watch using an Apple ID that was not mine. Very frustrating, but mistakes happen. I'll just return it! Amazon refuses to let me return the watch for refund though. I have initiated a chargeback request because this watch is useless if it cannot be unlocked from the previous owner. Let alone the fact that I purchased this watch as "new" and clearly received something that was used. It might even be stolen, because Amazon is adamant that you prove the watch is unlocked before allowing a return (this is why they refuse to let me return it). Dealing with Amazon CS chat is a nightmare btw. They are now based in India and use default scripts to try and frustrate, confuse, and ultimately reject your return request. I caught them in two lies during the chat session. They strung me along for a while before finally stating "give us 24 hours and then we'll provide a return shipping label". The next day I received an email that they were not going to allow the return after all. So I was charged $300+ for a useless piece of possibly stolen trash. I am aware that Amazon will likely block my Prime membership because of the chargeback I have initiated. I'm honestly considering cancelling the membership because of this bs regardless. I pay way too much to be blatantly scammed. *After closely looking it over, I also noticed that the watch is actually a Series 8 and the tiny serial number on it does not match the box it came in or my receipt! I looked up the true serial number with Apple and it reflects the watch was sold a year ago and the warranty expires in July. So not only is the watch used and locked to the previous owner, it's not even the right kind of watch! |

This is a topic I’m very interested in and is extremely controversial for a number of reasons. First of all, what skills someone includes for being the best mc players can vary wildly and all hold equal legitimacy. In my list, I personally focused on the mechanical aspects of minecraft, such as movement, bridging, parkour, pvp (all kinds), gamesense, and stuff like that. Sorry hermitcraft, but I decided not to include skills like game knowledge and building and redstone, as those are completely separate for the most part (but are completely valid metrics, but the list would be completely different barring like Feinberg). Another thing is that it’s impossible to know everyone. Everyone loves to joke about some kid in Russia who has played for 10 hours a day for 10 years and would slosh everyone in everything, and while that does hold some truth, skill doesn’t usually go unnoticed. It’s very likely the actual best players in most given categories will show up in its respective community in one way or another. There are probably a lot of people I forgot to mention, and all I can say to that is sorry I forgor.
Before I get into the list (and you start yelling at me) I wanted to talk a bit more about what communities I looked at when considering this list. An obvious one is the mc event community, as events are the best way of comparing players and seeing who is good at what. Events are one of the only mediums where all different kinds of skills are tested. I also looked at the speedrunning community, as being a top level speedrunner requires top of the line mechanics and movement, and If I was making a list of the best pure mechanical/aim/whatever players it would be mostly speedrunners. Also I obviously looked at the best all around pvpers, as being good at a lot of different pvp modes requires a lot of mechanical and game knowledge. Included in that are sweats at competitive servers like mcci that challenge a lot of different types of mechanics. Finally, also parkoumovement communities of course. I however did not consider the crazy technical part of this, where they calculate a jump being possible by 0.00000001 blocks and try it for years. All of this being said, being good in one community is not enough. Everyone I decided to include has a ton of proof of them being dominant in a bunch of different areas involving skill and mechanics. Also, there will be obvious biases towards regular content creators as it's just easier to see their skill, sorry not sorry.

Coldified
Insane at Pvp, ranked 4th on the tierlist. Insane gamesense and quick mechanics, one of those people who will roll through an entire game if he’s on his A game. Extremely good at movement. Great at parkour and good block placement. Would beat almost everyone on this list (and anywhere for that matter) in a PvP duel no matter the kit. Also one of the best mcci players all around. His skill in mc events and movement on top of his PVP dominance earn him a spot.
Feinberg
One of the GOATS of speedrunning, especially AA. But what sets him apart from the rest of the speedrunning GOATS? His event dominance. His mechanics are easily matched by a lot of top players, but what isn’t is his gamesense and all-roundness for all aspects of minecraft. Arguably one of the best all rounders out there. One of the best in two categories of minecraft earn him an easy spot.
Kelawesome
The best mc event player by a huge margin. Absurd ability to get first in pretty much any event even if it’s his first time playing and against a stacked roster of insane players. Theres not a single mechanic he’s not GOATED at, competing with the best of any category across all categories. Always does Great in Toph Skybattle challenges and recently top fragged in what I think is still the WR 500 kill race by like 30 mins which is a huge accomplishment. I would consider him a clear #1 if I had more evidence outside of events of his domination, but unfortunately I don’t.
Sandwichlord
One of the best pure mechanical players out there, especially at movement. Arguably one of the best parkour players out there (barring the people who grind for days for one specific triple glass Neo pessi 10 block whatever). insanely great at PvP and event games of all types, and being able to apply his mechanical skill to all walks of minecraft earn him a spot on the list.
Doogile
One of the best bridgers and one of the best speedrunners earn another one of the best pure mechanics players an easy spot on here. There’s not that many players who can be argued to be the best in two completely unrelated categories of Minecraft. How good is he at PvP? I have no idea, but it can’t be bad considering his aim and movement.
Doozim
One of the best mcci all rounders. A top 5 all time Skybattle player and top Hoplite player with a ton of movement skill as well. Dominates all sorts of tournaments. If I had more proof of all-roundness outside of mcci he would be an arguable #1.
Prusso
Insane at PvP, especially one of the best at sword. What puts him above most other Pvpers, like Coldi, is his equally insane movement. I’ve heard a lot about his dominance in all types of games in event testing against other great players. His mechanics are top of the line and is one of those people who can just run into any fight, in any gamemode, on any server, and just win.
Brunted
Arguably the best mcci player, Brunted is scary all around, being especially deadly at parkour, but is also great at PvP. Honestly, I don’t know all that much about this person apart from their mcci tournament dominance and my interactions with them in games, but that’s alone is enough for me to say they’re well rounded and mechanically gifted enough to make this list. Could be #1 if I know more.
HMs: List of some of the people I considered and why I excluded their general category
Event players: these are people who are extremely well rounded and really good at events, but I’m not quite sure how much it carries over outside events and isn’t quite as strong or well rounded as someone like Kel.

Someone that was staying with me was using my phone (And other old devices ) to log into accounts and also get me in trouble with my family I was really just thinking they assumed me cause my reputation and positions in the family. She legit up and left while I was working she took some stuff, try to break into some doors that are locked (scratches by key hole and my key took some turning ) .... Anyway. Since 2019 latish, I noticed things like an attempt to open certain online jobs or delivery jobs. She opened a payment acct with my info. And when they ask for a selfie. Me being neive, she would take my phone And say OmG I need to show you how dope you look your jawline is sick. And then I find out that way. My folders in my phone had too of those photos. One had a file and of the photo number and my phone brand. The second had a photo description of the p2p payment service she opened. And kept doing. Took some time cause she was "recovering " addict. Yet she was hitting the jackpot with my kindness. Sold the good items I got her for hygiene Nd new look. Anyway. She linked my cards so many places ... I went broke. She even opened a credit card. Only thing.... I can't prove it. She left before I got to talk about it. Now.... I'm terrified. She did all this in my home. My phone. My wifi. Everything she would need to know to commit embezzlement she had and used. Now today. I have no money and legit the timing where I need F least 100. My cards all locked blocked and investigation. What An evil person. I would never do that to her and I have an OUD problem I'm getting help. She ruined my entire recovery.

 | I literally jumped the gun, overhyped, completely my fault, it was too good to be true So ill accept all insults etc headed my way, Anyways the story goes, I approached him being a resident of Lahore, He explained the specs etc, ''Gift from my khala, i am a 10th class student, i dont need it, i need to sell it quick to buy a phone, i dont much about laptops, i have no use for it" Then in the end when you discuss the location, 'Laptop is available in sambrial, i changed the location to Lahore because it wasnt selling there, i can tcs it to you or you can come take it from here'' Chat lingered on for 2 days, I had a contact, one of my father's friend lives in sambrial, so i mentioned that, Later on the guy goes, 'Someone also wants to buy it, he also gave me advance' So i panicked, but i thought i won him over, cuz i approached him round about 10 mins after he uploaded the ad, (by chance) so i played the card, i was the first to approach you etc etc, so in the end i also sent him advance, of 5k and he said he had returned the other guys money. He sent his location on google maps So the guy then talked for a day, (i was making the arrangements) then suddenly dipped, phone powered off, not blocked, Then today he came online and called and apologised etc etc, and asked me to take it, He sent me the address, luckily my father's friend realized these locations were miles apart, and was calling to a shady area, When we approached him seperately, we got blocked afterwards. I had a broken arm and went to the doctor today. In our country, the waiting time in hospitals for such a check is up to 3 hours. The waiting rooms are post-communist, old, white walls and blue uncomfortable chairs. After about half an hour of waiting in a waiting room full of people of all ages, who were also after some sort of injury, a 2-meter middle-aged man came to the waiting room, who at first glance looked somewhat strange. He sat down on a chair and his girlfriend or sister came behind him, I don't know what of those two it was, but she looked even weirder than him. The guy had a tucked-in T-shirt in his pants with the inscription PRAGUE and the Czech flag on the front of the t-shirt. He had rustler pants pulled up high. His posture was stooped. He had brown, thinning hair and thick-rimmed glasses. Blue eyes that only had an empty look. Huge palms, since he was about 2 meters. The woman who was with him was missing several teeth. She was overweight and of average height. She was wearing gray leggings, a t-shirt that was short so part of her stomach was visible, and an unzipped dark green jacket. Both of them showed that they were not completely in order and looked a little dirty, but not like street dirty, more like they just dont take care of them self AT ALL dirty. The woman looked much dirtier. They sat down not far from me and at first it was quiet. Subsequently, the guy started talking, first in silence and to himself, he started commenting everything around him. For example, another patient in the waiting room was wearing a cap and the strange guy said. "Look, the moron still has his cap on. Can you understand that?!? haha" He always laughed really unpleasantly after one of his drastic comments. Horror type laugh. He could be heard and people were looking around at him. As we were all waiting in the waiting room, a nurse came out and according to the ordinary number, called a very old lady who had broken her arm and was going to be checked. The strange guy was sitting closest to the door, so everyone was walking around him. As the grandmother slowly got up from her chair (obviously because she is old), the strange guy aggressively shouted: "WELL MOVE, MOVE, COMMON!!!" Everyone pretended not to hear him and no one ever spoke up. As he commented, he said something that I didn't fully understand, something like: "And what does this tattooed moron think of himself???" That should have been on me because I was the only one in the waiting room with tattoos on my body. So I looked at him and asked him: "You talking to me?"
The strange guy aggressively raised his voice and answered: "YES, I SAID THAT ABOUT YOU AND WHAT DO YOU CARE, DO I MIND YOU?" type shit, to which I replied that he was shouting in a waiting room full of people like he is out of his fucking mind and that's when it started. The guy started almost shouting on entire waiting room: "OUT OF MY FUCKING MIND? YOU CAN BE SURE THAT I AM OUT OF MY FUCKING MIND, I'M 100% SCHIZOPHRENIC. She was lying and holding her head up, she told her daughter that it doesn't hurt, when she hold her head up like that so she has to have her head up. The guy heard it and to the entire waiting room: "YOU DON'T HAVE TO. THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO DO IS DIE. HAHAH. OTHER THAN THAT, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. HAHA :) NO ONE HAS TO DO ANYTHING BUT EVERYONE HAS TO FUCKING DIE. END UP UNDERGROUND. HAHAHAHA. PSST PSST… SHUT UP, BE QUIET” he said to himself and started rocking in his chair. He said something again, but I didn't even listen to his words anymore, I was just careful when I walked by, that I wouldn't get hit or that something would poke me. I went to the doctor and the doctor asked who was screaming like that. I told him what it was about and he told me that I shouldn't pay attention to such people. He checked my hand and I went away. As I was leaving, the guy was talking loudly: "NOW GO. AND YOU HAVE FREE TIME, EXCELLENT HAHA” . And I walked away.
All this was very strange and my first encounter with such a sick person. ou could see on him that he really mean those things. The whole time I had a very bad feeling. The guy looked exactly like some kind of psychopath, like some serial killer who keeps the heads of his victims in the refrigerator so that he can feel dominance over them forever type shit and cant tell the difference between good and bad. I wouldn't be surprised at all if in a few years I see him and his wife in the news that a dead body was found at their home.

Talked to the dealership and they can’t get the vehicle in until June 5th. There’s a coolant leak on what looks like to be a flange that goes to the block. It’s held on with one Allen head screw.  | I literally jumped the gun, overhyped, completely my fault, it was too good to be true So ill accept all insults etc headed my way, Anyways the story goes, I approached him being a resident of Lahore, He explained the specs etc, ''Gift from my khala, i am a 10th class student, i dont need it, i need to sell it quick to buy a phone, i dont much about laptops, i have no use for it" Then in the end when you discuss the location, 'Laptop is available in sambrial, i changed the location to Lahore because it wasnt selling there, i can tcs it to you or you can come take it from here'' Chat lingered on for 2 days, I had a contact, one of my father's friend lives in sambrial, so i mentioned that, Later on the guy goes, 'Someone also wants to buy it, he also gave me advance' So i panicked, but i thought i won him over, cuz i approached him round about 10 mins after he uploaded the ad, (by chance) so i played the card, i was the first to approach you etc etc, so in the end i also sent him advance, of 5k and he said he had returned the other guys money. He sent his location on google maps So the guy then talked for a day, (i was making the arrangements) then suddenly dipped, phone powered off, not blocked, Then today he came online and called and apologised etc etc, and asked me to take it, He sent me the address, luckily my father's friend realized these locations were miles apart, and was calling to a shady area, When we approached him seperately, we got blocked afterwards. on friday i (18f) got weird texts from a number i dont know (but its my area code) and they know my full name and very sensitive information that ive only told my closest of friends (who were with me at the time so i know its not them pranking me.) they said these things about how we had sex and went on all these dates and that i’ve been with 3+ guys sexually, all of which is not true. i’ve only been on dates with my current boyfriend (18m) and only been sexual with him. this person also started saying how embarrassing it is that im with my current boyfriend. that’s when i blocked the number because it was getting creepy. they said i gave them my number which is not true unless it was at least 4+ years ago because since covid started i literally haven’t given my phone number to anyone new except my boyfriend.
this is getting really scary considering they know so much sensitive information that was never posted online or anything. should i call the police?

At the time I was a straight a student, did my chores, held down a full-time job, ran track cross country and played volleyball. I wasn’t a bad kid. I’m 20 years old now. And I’m currently housing my 17-year-old brother. Just for reference, my brother had a car accident at 90 mph and received a major concussion and a broken shoulder. A week after the accident. My mom’s boyfriend of two years got into a physical altercation with him resulting in my brother is already concussed head getting hit on the door frame. He reacted and screamed. Your boyfriend just assaulted me. In the end, a span of a span of 20 minutes not even 20 minutes my mother chose her boyfriend over her 17 year old son. For context, I haven’t talk to my mother in years. Recently, my grandmother, who lives with my mom had a heart attack. Due to feelings of guilt because of her condition, I begin contact with my family again. For the past 11 years, my mother has been an alcoholic, who is also prescribed Xanax. Other than the obvious reason you’re not supposed to mix the two, she never has to deal with the pain she causes, because simply she doesn’t remember it. She is consistently chose alcohol over her family and her friends and her children. Which is why I remain no contact. Recently, my 17-year-old brother has been suffering from severe vomiting since the incident with Mom’s boyfriend. I had to beg her to take him to the hospital. It was my finals week, he’s a minor, and my name was not on the insurance card. She decided to convince the doctor that my brother was addicted to marijuana, and that was the cause for his symptoms. She brought him a folder “proving her case“. End result, my brother was discharged, and she felt validated for kicking out her 17-year-old son. Over the next few days, she spammed mine and my brother’s phone trying to prove to me that that was the problem and that he is manipulative and playing me. It was so severe. He had to block her number, and which she just made a new one to contact him. Resulting in him, making a new number to get away. Just recently she reached out to me looking for sympathy. Just recently she got diagnosed with sub ventricle tachycardia. Originally I ignored her, but then she sent the text again. I did do my own research on the topic, and while it is a health condition, you could be born with. It is triggered by alcohol, caffeine, and stress. This was our conversation AITAH? |

Unfortunately my no contact with Nex was rudely interrupted once I completed one month mark. I have blocked all his accounts. Unfortunately he found a way to call me using No Caller Id that surpasses his blocked number. He went on talking, apologizing, crying, blaming me, asking me to keep talking to him atleast once per day. I felt bad. But I remained strict. I told him to see therapist, tell his friends his emotional state and about the breakup which he hasn’t done still. The only reason that I’m getting these calls after 1 month mark is because now he’s back to living alone in his apartment as his friend who was staying there just left 2 days ago. It makes sense. He’s calls go from. “Tell me everything that I did wrong” to “Please stop blaming me I can’t take it anymore”, then from “you were right about everything like him being emotionally manipulative“ to “because of me you have made such progress” then “please keep talking to me because I’m not able to sleep” “support me to get over you by talking to you because you have done it so well”. Well I know, it’s my bad to have talked to him for so long. Literally talking to him and his manipulative words takes my progress backwards. I have told him that for my own sake of mental wellbeing I will not be picking his calls and please reach out to his friends and therapist instead. Of course he wouldn’t respect this. I found a way to silence the No caller Id calls but not block yet. So I see the missed calls. It’s seriously disturbing. I feel guilt and bad for him too. Because he doesn’t have capacity to process emotions. I know it’s not my responsibility either, after all that’s happened. Somewhere I’m scared how he’ll be able to deal with all this especially living alone. But I know I would only go more into the pit if i keep letting him get to my head.
Unfortunately every single word from his mouth affects me and I have to keep him blocked. Conversation with him leaves my brain foggy. Throwaway. I'm going to sound like a psycho here and I understand that. I truly wish I wasn't acting like this right now but I can't shake it.
My husband and I have a 8mo daughter and when I was around 4 months pregnant, he started going out A LOT. He got really close to a guy he worked with and it went from 0 to 100 so quickly that it made my head spin. Prior to meeting this guy my husband only went out maybe once a month but after getting close to this guy, he was going over to this guy's house practically every day for a couple hours after work and then going over there again every weekend just about. At first I was invited, but I'm an introvert so going over to this guy's house constantly was severely destroying my mental health because I never had time to recharge; and frankly, I was tired of being around him and my husband because they would just get drunk and it wasn't fun for me. I have not been invited at all since I was like 7 months pregnant, I think.
I could look past most of what I listed above but there's more to it.. a couple months ago things started really becoming a problem. He would hang out with this guy after work, come home and jump on video games WITH this guy and just sit on the game until he got ready to go to bed. This lasted pretty much all winter. He was still hanging out with him almost every Friday and Saturday. The only time it changed was when I absolutely lost my shit because he wasn't spending any time with me at all. He would hang out with the baby but him and I just never talked anymore unless he was trying to get me to sleep with him. I brought it up to him a lot. If I was calm, he was receptive and would apologize. But if I was angry because I was tired of repeating myself, he would freak out and say things like "I work all the time" or "no one asked me how the fuck I felt after you gave birth" (because I said I was depressed and isolated). He would later apologize for flipping out but I guess it just started destroying me little by little and I just shut down and stopped talking to him at all.
But here's the problem.. the last time I absolutely flipped out, I didn't give him a chance to speak. I just started packing me and the babies stuff. He got better for awhile. Didn't go out for like 3 weeks. Stopped spending any more than an hour on video games. Started hanging out with me and the baby as much as possible. But then he downloaded Snapchat not too long ago, saying he wanted to use the filters on the baby (because I do that) but his snap score keeps going up? Even if we haven't used it to talk to each other for days. He's started going out again. The other day we had a fire and he hung out with his buddies wife the entire time (like 4 hours) but barely spoke to me. He "had to work" on Mother's Day but Sundays his work is closed (he said they had a delivery which COULD be possible, as those are always scheduled for weekends). So... I did the unthinkable and went through his phone when he was sleeping. I didn't find much, outside of blocked numbers (he never blocks numbers). There was 2 on there. I took a picture of them. The next night, I checked again and the numbers were switched positions (like he had unblocked them and then reblocked them in a different order). I called one of the numbers private and it was a woman. I called the other one but they didn't accept private calls. I told my husband what I did and said that I am feeling incredibly untrusting at this point. He was not mad that I went through his phone and said that he has no idea who's numbers were on the blocked list or why they switched positions (he said he had been getting calls for someone else awhile ago so maybe he blocked them and doesn't remember but it doesn't say when they were blocked so maybe that's the truth, because I have witnessed him getting calls for a guy named "Jake") and that his snap score keeps going up from viewing public stories. He's bothered that I don't trust him but I don't know anymore? Am I wrong?
ETA: just a quick add here, my husband is actually a very loving man to me and it does seem like he's actively trying to include me and be more available. I love him to death as well. But something feels ... wrong? And he's very intelligent when it comes to technology so he would know how to delete stuff so I couldn't see it. I just don't want to jump the gun and leave if he really isn't doing anything, you know?
