Pretty much the title. Building my first ever PC after months of research. A really close friend offered to give me their old ROG Strix 4080 after they upgraded to a 4090 a few months back. It is a way better GPU than I planned on getting for myself originally, so I plan on using the 4080. However, I have seen some stories online warning people to be cautious when buying used GPUs (especially those used for mining).
My friend does nothing crazy besides just game regularly and also takes very good care of their PC. I trust them, but also want to cover all my bases to ensure that everything will work out as every other component I bought is brand new.
So my question is, what should I do before/during/after installing a used GPU? Will this mess anything up?

I understand a lot of the foundation for Forza Horizon 5 was built off of the existing Forza Horizon 4 code. This included the same loading screen (Fast traveling other players) issue that originated after the attempt to merge Steam and Microsoft Store. It is an issue that practically makes the online multiplayer mode unplayable 60% of the time unless you're willing to wait 10-30 minutes between races. It was obvious when FH5 released that it must be fixed because, obviously a brand new exclusive xbox title can't be unplayable. It was fixed within a week. It has been well over two years since this problem started plaguing FH4 and nothing has ever been done about it. I'm sure many would agree that it's time for Playground Games/Turn 10 to actually do something about this.

No more hanging out after school, no more going to each others houses, no more stupid laughs. After this, we won’t know each other. The sense of community that I got from all of these different games is just… Gone. All this love and care that went into all of our favorite games are now being forgotten.

• Every time I join somebody else game I am kicked after a short time. This happen all the time and I cannot enjoy the amazing multiplayer that dying light 1 was. If people does not want company just turn off the online "public" !!!

Me and my bro's love playing this game, but most of them barelly go for LVL9 difficulty cause we just wanna play, chill and laught.
When you nerf guns, strategems and stuff, you are nerfing your game overall, not raising the difficulty. Having difficult missions is part of this game yes but some of us just want fun.
On higher levels, make enemies tankier, make their attacks stronger, but please, leave me and my gun alone on lower levels. I am already playing missions on 4~6 mostly, i don't want this game becoming so slow that every fight is an entire "duel".

So many days, I just find myself without the will to do anything but lie in bed and browse YouTube or scroll through Twitter on my phone. I had a question regarding the save slots.. if I delete the save slot on which I beat the game on normal mode on fe6 for instance, would the game remember I beat it on normal and provide the hard mode option or no? Is it essential to have either a completed normal save or a hard mode save to have access to hard mode? Same thing for fe8... would I need to keep the save I did the Eirika route alongside the Ephraim route save to get super trainees?

Hi, I recently got into the game through Master Duel (less than a few months) and I really like the game. Me and my brother are planning to get some real cards; he chose Mechanized Madness and I, well... I still haven't decided.

I was originally looking at the A4-SFX because I would like to have my pc as small and light as possible, but I fear that even with significant power limits and undervolts everything will still get too hot. Context: I’m in my thirties, with a toddler and a high-paying job as a software developer. However, I've been underperforming for ages. I still deliver value, but I know I could be doing much more—be a better father, work for a better company. I used to work for two USA companies, earning much more than I do now at a local startup in Brazil. Even so, I can still support my family, but it's hard. I can't save any money each month, and I usually spend close to $100 a month on gaming.
My psychiatrist mentioned this in my last appointment five days ago. My wife was there too, and she complains a lot about my gaming, so she became very aggressive about me stopping. I deleted League of Legends and stayed off the computer. I used to play 3-8 games a day, and I was hyped because I was improving so much—I was close to reaching Master, which is a huge achievement in the game. I've played for 11 years, and it’s always been my "crutch" for escaping life's problems. I’ve had mental health issues since I was a teenager, diagnosed with bipolar disorder and ADHD, and I’ve been on medication for 10 years. With the EIHL announcing the Challenge Cup format for the 2024/2025 Season, there’s been a lot of talk online about how a Cup competition should be played in the UK and if at all. Some people have recommended adding NIHL clubs to bring it to an even number. I am proposing an Amateur to Pro style competition which is a standard among Professional football around the world. This tournament would start from Rec teams adding NIHL 2 and 1 and SNL then the NIHL National teams and then the EIHL Clubs.
This is what I came up with:

Up until the 4th Round the competition will be split regionally and all the games will be win or go home.
This idea is not fully optimised there is currently (according to EIHA around 140 Rec teams England and Wales), there is an argument to allow the NSMC Teams into this competition as well.
Another idea would be making an English Cup competition and a Scottish competition with Cardiff joining (and any other Cardiff based teams) the English Competition and Belfast (and any other Belfast based teams) joining the Scottish Competition.
The benefits of this for EIHL clubs is to win this competition you only have to play 4 games to the CCs 17/18/19 games allowing more room for League and maybe any other Playoff formats that could be attempted.

Hi, I am f21 and live with my first bf of 3 years m25 and his two roommates (m26, m31). We are pretty good friends since moving in with each other despite not knowing each other when we did in the beginning. We often hang out with m26 and often smoke weed with m26 and his gf. Sometimes m31 will smoke weed with us too, but very rarely. He also sometimes joins us in board games and drinks.
Me and m31 get along fine I think, he is nice to me and has even given me bits of food off his dinner plate even (my boyfriend is always with me btw as I have a disability and tend to be home basically 24/7 as he studies and works online).
