2024.05.15 01:10 Ok_Card9080 Annual [Hersheypark] Visit - 5th Anniversary Edition - [Trip Report]

My wife and I made our annual Hersheypark visit this past Saturday to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. Hershey, the park and the town in general, have become a very special place to us, and we wanted to spend the weekend in town. We stopped out at the park Friday night for an hour during the preview, but we just walked around due to the rain. Still fun to see everything.
Saturday, the forecast changed drastically, as it was supposed to rain all day, until about Thursday, when it changed to being mostly cloudy until the evening, so the park ended up being pretty packed, and we had a really nice period of blue skies and sunshine. We bought Fast Track Unlimited so that we could make the most out of our day at the park, and it turned out to be a great investment, as most rides had at least an hour long wait. After arriving at around 12:30, we rode 9 rides by 6:00, when they started to shut things down due to the rain moving in.
Candymonium (x2) - Honestly, I have no idea why this ride gets so much criticism. I always hear that it's because of the trims and the short layout. But honestly, it doesn't matter, because Candy is such a great ride! We had 2 rides, both in the back row of the Twizzlers train, and it was awesome. The first drop deserves more recognition, because you are floating from the second you drop, until you reach the valley between the two hills. It gives such great floater air throughout, and the banked drop after the first helix (my favorite element on the ride) is so much fun.
Skyrush - So, the big news maker of the offseason. I love Skyrush! I liked the old restraints, and I didn't find them uncomfortable, but I understand why a lot of people had complaints. First off, the new station, with the lighting and sound effects, is great. They did a fantastic job. That lift never gets old. It's such a thrill being yanked from the station to the crest of the lift hill so fast, and that first drop is just absolutely bonkers. There are 2 things that I noticed. 1.) The ride seems a lot more rattly this year. It's not unpleasant, and it didn't make me enjoy the ride less. It's just very, very noticeable. 2.) The new restraints take away a lot of the intensity. The laterals are a lot more muted, and the overall insanity seems a lot more scaled back, which is a shame. I still love it, it's such a crazy ride, but it did drop slightly in my rankings.
Fahrenheit - Why doesn't this ride get talked about more? It's such a good ride, but it gets lost in a very, very stacked coaster lineup. That lift is a cool experience, the drop gives great airtime, and the inversions, though they are right after one another, don't feel like they're too much too quick. It was flying through the course on Saturday (which Fahrenheit isn't the only coaster that was doing that Saturday). It's so good, and deserves a lot more love.
Great Bear - My shocker of the weekend. I love Great Bear, it's my second favorite invert, but WOW was it moving on Saturday. This was probably the best ride I've had on it. I accidentally took one of the plus sized seats, and didn't realize it until I fastened the belts, and there was a lot of room, and it made a huge difference. The pre-drop is so good, and when it's flying through that helix, oh man. I had no idea where we were on the course because it was just hauling. I was getting crazy hangtime, and the head banging was almost non-existent. Just a fantastic ride!
SooperDooperLooper - First, I want to say that Hersheypark's app was way off on the wait time. It was reading a 1 hour 15 minute wait, and when we got in the Fast Track line, which you don't skip a whole lot of the standby line for this one, there weren't a whole lot of people behind us, and we waited about 10-15 minutes. It was probably more of a 30 minute wait than 75. Anyhow, Looper is great. For being in its 50s, with a perfectly round loop, it is so smooth, and so fun. Always a great time riding Looper!
Wildcat's Revenge (x2) - Where to begin? I rode WR once last year and loved it, but ranked it behind Skyrush, but didn't ride both of them last year. I rode this twice by myself, once in row 7, once in row 10. If there's a tier above elite, Wildcat's Revenge belongs there. This ride is so out of its mind insane, it's unbelievable. Absolutely relentless from the time you leave the station until you pull into the brake run. I love how it varies from airtime to inversion to airtime to inversion, and so one, so that it's giving you something different instead of repeating the same thing over and over. This thing hauls, and the pacing is phenomenal. I love when you get to the middle of the ride, and everything happens so quickly. It has a completely out of control feel to it. The station is a vibe, the ops are quick. This is a perfect ride, and it jumped Skyrush in my rankings.
We also grabbed a late ride on the Monorail in the rain before heading to The Chocolatier for dinner. The ops were hit or miss. The ones on Fahrenheit and Wildcat's Revenge were flying. Skyrush and Candymonium were stacking big time. Didn't get on Storm Runner because it was running one train with a listed wait of 45 minutes, but I overheard a few kids say that they were waiting for their friends, and they were still in line over an hour and a half later, and Fast Track doesn't skip much of the line on Storm Runner. While watching it while waiting for my wife to get off Remix, the dispatches were probably about 5 minutes.
Overall, it was a outstanding trip to our favorite park! The rides were running extremely well, and it was a great way to celebrate our anniversary, Hersheypark Happily!

2024.05.15 01:10 hereliesLydia What if I don't want Ruan Mei?

Seen a lot of questions about pulling, but haven't seen any for people who don't want RM (me. I'm people)
Firefly e0 is non-negotiable, e1 is probably next on my list, e2 would be great but might be pushing my luck... ^^' and idk about her LC, since I don't have that Misha one and my Aeon is only s2 atm (I got back into the game in 2.1 after a long break since Ratio banner and haven't had time to play SimU much)
As for teammates, I'm going full send on the break team. It's awesome to me that we get a new style of dps and Firefly is the first one to really show how strong this playstyle can be. I'm definitely running her with HMC, I actually love that they're best support for her, I've wanted an excuse to build MC forever so I could explore the overworld with them, and I just love their relationship in the story so it's a win-win! I'll probably run Gallagher too, he seems super fun to play with her and people say he's best sustain rn
Eugh... Ruan Mei is a headache though. She rlly icked me out in that one quest (yknow, when she *drugs* you and removes your autonomy), and I don't think her character design or animations are appealing at all, she's a very boring char to me aesthetically. It sucks that her kit is so damn versatile not just for Firefly, because I seriously don't want to pull RM at all... hopefully more break-focused supports release in the future which have better synergy for Firefly
I've got about 300 pulls (including limited banner pity), I've still got basically all of Swarm SimU and G&G SimU left to play through as well as the events for all of 2.2 and 2.3, so I'm not really worried about pulls? But I'm also not an expert on planning pulls so what should my priority be between her first two eids and the sig LC?
(and I won't listen to anybody saying "oh RM is better and you're stupid for skipping her" bc I might try and grab her if I manage to get all my Firefly goals and still have pulls leftover, but rn RM is bottom of my list out of SPITE /hj)

2024.05.15 01:10 Fluffy_Deer23 Yes, another “I spilled oil post”

So I have a maintenance appointment in the end of June, checked my oil and it’s a bit lower than I’d like it to be and probably wouldn’t make it. Decided to top it off a bit, forgot the funnel (yes, I will get one :) ) and ended up spilling it all over the place. Ended up puddling in a pocket at some plugs.
From what I’ve read, it should just burn off but I’m quite concerned about the puddles area. Did my best to get it up, but couldn’t get it all.
Should I assume that this too will burn off without much issue?

Thank you!
This is a Hyundai Venue by the way.

2024.05.15 01:08 ApplyAllDay Boost Resume Quality for High Volume Job Applications

When applying to many jobs, it is so important to have a strong resume that stands out I have found that the best approach includes being clear and concise make sure to include keywords from the job description as most employers use software to screen resumes.
Tailor your skills and experiences to match what the company is looking for, this helps in making your resume more relevant to the specific job and can catch the hiring manager's attention.
Keep the format clean and easy to read use bullet points for important information and avoid large blocks of text.
Highlight your most recent and relevant experiences at the top, and don't forget to quantify your achievements when possible, like increased sales by 20% or managed a team of 5, this helps show the impact of your work.
having someone else review your resume is invaluable, they may catch errors you missed and offer new perspectives.

2024.05.15 01:08 SenorNoods How to list ambiguous titles on a resume?

What is the best way to list ambiguous titles, such as "Marketing Analyst III" on a resume in a way that conveys the actual status, because lots of firms create different tiers than the next. For example, would you list it as "Marketing Analyst III" or "Senior Marketing Analyst" for resume purposes? Furthermore, what if your responsibilities as a marketing analyst were actually focused less on marketing and more on something else, say data analytics? Would you modify the way the title was posted to reflect the responsibilities, or would you let the bullet points speak to experience themselves?
I've washed the details a bit here for anonymity, but I'm in a similar position and wondering how to best reflect my experience in my resume. If a job calls for 3 years as a "Data Analyst" and I have that in responsibility, but my title is "Marketing Analyst", how do I get past the recruiters who will skim for "Data Analyst" and pass me over due to the ambiguous title?

2024.05.15 01:07 ahhdecisions7577 Helping Baby Bunny Transition Home from Foster Care?

Tomorrow, I’m officially adopting a 7 month old, but he won’t be coming home with me until Monday and will remain with his foster mother until then.
This baby has been with his foster mother since he was 1 week old (as his pregnant mother was found abandoned and brought into the rescue). He does not have a bondmate because both of his littermates died and the bonding sessions he’s been on since he was neutered 2 months ago haven’t been a great fit so far. I will find him a bondmate once he is settled into our home :).
My concern is how to help him adjust to no longer living with his foster mother. He is extremely bonded to her (lies on her chest and purrs), but she is unable to keep/ adopt him (as she is an incredible person saving the lives of so many medically complex rabbits and cats at once right now, and he had always been in the home as a foster baby). She’s going to be sending home his favorite straw playhouse, and since she said it’s falling apart a little, I also ordered him a second copy of the first one so that I can set up both his old and new one side by side. I asked about having her sending something like a blanket that smells like her home with him, and she thought that was a good idea and would help him. I can also bring a blanket for him that smells like me and drop it off tomorrow. (It will also smell like my cat, but he has several cat foster siblings and is extremely comfortable with supervised contact, so I think getting familiar with her smell would probably be good, too? Since I always smell like her anyway).
We’ve coordinated around hay and pellets in terms of making sure any changes are gradual and that we work together to help him adjust or that I get the same types she is using now. I am using a very different litter than she is, but she says he has never peed outside the litter box and is very unlikely to have an issue with any type of rabbit—appropriate litter (she’s using pine pellets, I’m using Carefresh).
I bought all the things she said are his favorite snacks (Science Selective Naturals Loops and Oxbow Simple Rewards in two specific flavors) and made a list of the greens/ herbs he likes best.
I let his foster Mom know she could come to visit sometimes if she wanted to, and she expressed interested in doing that once he’s settled in. In the meantime, I can send lots of photo and video updates.
Can anyone think of anything else (other than a bondmate, which I can’t conjure up in the next few days, unfortunately), that might help make this transition a little easier for him? I’ll be with him for probably about 22-23 hours a day (as I work from home as a PhD student, and his X-Pen is directly next to my bed), and he’ll have free roam time with me probably about 14 hours per day (and the rest of the time in the 4x4x4 X-Pen in my bedroom).
Anything else that might help? I’m so, so excited to bring him home and also so heartbroken for both him and his foster mother, who is incredible, and I just want to make sure this is the best transition possible for everyone involved.

Up for sale are two items. Please review the photos carefully as they represent the best depiction of condition. All prices are shipped in the US.
Saddleback Fourteener Briefcase - $245
Specs
https://saddlebackleather.com/leather-laptop-bags
This specific briefcase is the dark coffee brown. The leather is thick and substantial, and the pigskin lining brings it over the top in leather luxury. I bought this briefcase directly from saddleback 18 months ago as a second or as they call it a “Dave’s deal”. There was one mark on it and I couldn’t find anything else to warrant it being a second. The outside has marks from everyday use, but very few of them are substantial or enter in to the material so to speak. I have not tried to polish or otherwise work any mark on the bag. I normally carried my work laptop, a notebook, and a charging cable in it. For anyone familiar with saddleback you’ll be assured that this bag is just getting started. Let’s call it C condition.
Ashland Private Stock Capone “Epic Shell” Money Clip - $135
Specs
https://ashlandleather.com/products/capone-leather-money-clip-2
This wallet was carried and has a couple indentations that I tried to show in the light. Just getting started in terms of coloring and patina. The pattern you see is what Ashland calls epic I believe, a natural shell cordovan that has these patterns to it. Let’s call it C condition.

2024.05.15 01:06 allstarr373 IS $2,300 + tax a good deal for an OPEN BOX LG OLED G3 display model with under 4k hours?

Was in best buy just walking around, figured let's go down the TV aisle. Seen so many open box LG OLED tvs c3's , out of curiosity I asked the guy you guys happen to have open box g3's.
He said they only have display model which hasn't been listed yet. I was like I'm curious what the price will look like.
He said he can mark it the lowest open box condition for me. Even though it came with accessories etc and no scratches. Which was $2,300 + tax.
I went and checked hours it said 3,886
I currently own 83 INCH LG C1.
I am not looking for new TV. But who am I to pass up a good deal I think? Lol
I didn't buy it. But he gave me his number. I told him need a day.
I'm curious if price will go any lower.

2024.05.15 01:06 crkunferman Enjoy this tool list! My sophisticated, kernel, root hackers tools.

Heya! I've been in a never ending battle to win back my machine. It has cost me around 5-7 windows machines. After combating them daily, and after discovering ways they got into my system using satellites, blue tooth, and even using the power cable, I decided to make the switch to Linux. Nitrux even.
Now all this is enough to make anyone paranoid, and being the skeptic I am, i had to run many tests to make sure I wasn't simply hacking myself. That was fun. The obvious appearance of some things such as another linux distribution, Ubuntu, as well as a whole bunch of new python scripts and libraries, along with a "oh-my-zsh" install, and a huge command list from Powerlevel 9k and I was pretty convinced that I was indeed, being targeted.
The battle continues, I still manage to humbly get on here to make this post after doing more mods to thier system built on my system which was automatically reinstalling no matter what I deleted and I spent the day going through running every command available. (Aside from the ones like panic, and "yes")
I've discovered some more interesting things I thought you'd enjoy me sharing!

1. 2 million plus pages of RAM. around 1 million pages of ram running on thier remote machine. Wowza! Whats that smell like?

2. They have stuff installed not only in my root, but right on top of the kernel. In the kernel.

3. the internet is (was) looped and looped again. At this point I'm pretty sure even if you remoted in and looked, it would just look like me battling against myself. eyeroll

4. I think it was for intimidation purposes, but now residing in my root directory is a list of programs and stuff they are using. There is a start file, and an end file. Having ruled out this being my own government, I think its probably safe to post said lists here for everyone to take a gander at. Just to give you an idea of what I'm dealing with, and well to let them know how sick and tired I am of playing host to thier stupid data collection that they've been running on my hardware for so many years.

I don't expect any help, at this point its like picking at a wart, but feel free to throw in your two cents and interpretations. Oh and of Note here is my entire list of applications that I currently have installed: Notepadqq (firejailed not working), Reaper 617 (firejailed not working), Musescore (havent opened yet), vlc media player (no media to play but it works!), Infectionmonkey(firejailed), Libreoffice (yay i can spreadsheet), Inskape, Blender, Krita, Upscayle, Firefox, station.
And now, here is my guests list of software. Enjoy!

With more and more hipsters wanting to live a more "authentic" lifestyle, teens and millennials are walking away from the shopping malls and into nature. This is a great thing but it has caused some issues for conservation groups such as the California Department of Fish and Wildlife who spend their time fighting those who could cause damage to the natural environment. Whether it be people cultivating marijuana crops on protected land, issues related to species management, or maybe something as simple as people fishing without licenses, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has a lot of work to do and unfortunately limited resources. However, technology is now helping fill in some of the gaps for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife who is calling upon GPS tracking devices for a number of different reasons.
https://preview.redd.it/9b4j1r1x3h0d1.jpg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=74a1ac3cbf765de9e4c1d44fef443c2bc2d1ae0b

California Department of Fish and Wildlife Vehicles

One of the most obvious benefits of using GPS live tracking technology is how it can assist in vehicle management. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife are often lacking manpower and resources. Therefore, fewer people are available to cover a lot of land. That means efficiency is a high priority. When real-time auto tracking units are equipped on the California Department of Fish and Wildlife vehicles the process of documenting and managing vehicle activity becomes significantly easier. This is because live GPS systems provide up-to-date info about where a vehicle is located, speeds it is traveling, stops made, and more. Safe speed alerts can also be programmed. Other benefits from a fleet oversight perspective include:
1. Theft Security 2. Unlimited Historical Access 3. Safe Zone Alerts 4. Speed Alerts

Fighting Crime With GPS Tracking

Another benefit of using GPS monitoring systems among government agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management, Department of Homeland Security, or California Department of Fish and Wildlife is that the technology can also be pivotal in investigative work. Whether it be illegal poaching or the cultivation of illegal crops, bad things happen on public land all the time. These areas are often chosen as the setting for criminal activity because they are remote and often in regions where cellular service is not available. This means live GPS won't work. This is where data logging systems are proving their value and helping authorities conduct successful investigations.

GPS Data Logger For Government Employees

Passive GPS solutions record travel activity to the internal memory of the device. Information such as route traveled, speed-driven, and more are all recorded and stored on the car tracker. This data can then be reviewed once the tracker is removed from the target vehicle and downloaded. Here is a real-world example of how technology is employed successfully. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife received a top about a poacher illegally hunting mountain lions. The suspect is identified and shown to be frequenting areas where mountain lion populations are dwindling. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife acquires a warrant, puts a vehicle tracker on the car of the suspect, and then removes the GPS after a month. The data shows the suspect was indeed at the location where each mountain lion shooting took place. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has its man and can move forward with an arrest.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has a tremendously challenging task and the work they do is for all of us. GPS monitoring systems are helping to make that job a little easier which is fantastic because when they do their job effectively it means they are preserving wildlife and essentially nature for everyone for generations to come.

Conservation Top Priority For U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

Government Agency Calls Upon GPS
There are a number of government and federal agencies that serve a vital role to the public from everything to energy conservation to counter-terrorism, but there is only one agency that focuses solely on making certain the next generation of wildlife is secure and safe. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service works tirelessly to conserve and safeguard fish, wildlife, plants, and their natural habitats through scientific experimentation and the creation of refuges. All of the work is conducted by professionals who strive to protect natural resources. However, the task of maintaining stable ecosystems and the life they support can be a very daunting task, and that is why the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service continues to call upon the latest in technological advancement to help in conservation efforts. With many government agencies feeling the financial pinch, departments such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service are now turning to GPS tracking systems to help conduct business as usual, and what they are finding is that GPS tracking devices are not only a cost-smart solution for monitoring equipment/environment but also an effective one.
GPS tracking systems have always been the surveillance tools of choice among federal police agencies to conduct covert investigations, but now the monitoring technology has taken on increased responsibility. Now, GPS monitoring technology and devices are used for everything from GPS fleet management improvement to the observation of wildlife in scientific experiments and studies. There are still many mysteries that ecologists and wildlife experts are trying to solve regarding the way many animals interact with their natural environment and the role that humans play in disrupting that balance. By equipping different species with micro GPS trackers that can transmit real-time GPS tracking and location-based data, scientists can understand how a particular species interact with everything in their environment.
With many staff members working for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service having to conduct experiments in the field, vehicle management and route efficiency are also a concern for the federal agency. However, real-time GPS tracking solutions such as SpaceHawk GPS can bring simplicity to a complex fleet problem. The SpaceHawk GPS allows government agencies to remotely view where any agency vehicle is while operating in the field. This GPS data can be used for fuel consumption reduction, a way to observe employee activity via vehicle tracking, and/or see what areas in a region a particular employee/scientist visited for experimentation.
Tracking System Direct would like to thank those working for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for their conservation efforts and focus on maintaining and preserving our most precious resources.

2024.05.15 01:04 NobodyNulls My First 30 Days

My First 30 Days
A little about me.
I am currently a 30 year old Male that lives in the northern central part of the US. I am a father of a 3 year old and I play a large variety of games but mostly focus on multiplayer games.
I first attempted streaming back in January of 2022 because I played Unofficial Ark and some people in my community convinced me to give streaming a try. I never watched any streamers and had absolutely no knowledge of well, anything. But I gave it a shot and was super inconsistent on twitch but managed to get affiliated and hit around 1k "friends" with about 22 average viewers in 6months. But I hated twitch, they started forcing ads down everyones throats and basically even running the minimum amount of ads on my stream would result in either having to run Pre-rolls (scaring away any new viewers) or having to run an annoying amount of ads during stream. This really turned me off of the platform and I essentially gave up.
Well I've been hearing about kick for like a year now (mostly bad things and how its just going to be a failing platform like mixer blah blah blah) but heard that you can stream without ads even if you are affiliated. This pretty much immediately sold me. I already had all the equipment I need to stream and figured I may as well give it a go.
I set a few goals for myself in the first 30 days as well as a few rules for myself. First my rules were that I would stream for the first 30 days, every day unless something major prevented me from being able to do so like a poweinternet outage or a health issue with myself or family. My second rule was to stream for a minimum of 3 hours daily (wasn't the easiest thing to do while trying to provide for a family and being a parent). I did end up missing 1 day out of the 30(Although this screenshot shows I missed 3 for some reason) because my son gave me pink eye (in both of my eyes. YAY!) and I there was just one day where my eyes were not allowing stream to happen. Otherwise I managed to abide by all of my rules.
My Goals were to hit an average of 3 viewers and 50 new "friends" in those 30 days and to stream for at least 100 total hours. I honestly thought this was a pretty farfetched goal because the platform was significantly smaller than on Twitch and alot of people struggle with getting more than 1 viewer for years sometimes! I've attached a screenshot of my current progress on the platform, I have managed to have a little over 20 average viewers. with a total "friend" count of 146! I managed to stream about 122 hours in those 30 days (although for some reason this only shows 111.23 hours, I'm not sure why). But I managed to surpass every goal I had set for myself.
My Positive Experience with Kick so far:
Up til now I have had a relatively positive experience on the platform with only a few minor negatives that I'll mention below. I've managed to find a very nice and welcoming community of streamers on this platform which has made networking incredibly simple. I've probably managed to meet 30-50 different streamers who all stream different categories and about 3-5 of those that I regularly try to watch or at least lurk in their streams every time that they go live and that do the same for me! I've managed to get my very first raid/host just a couple of days ago by another streamer with 5 viewers. There have been no pushy ads forced onto me or my community and overall its just been pleasant.
My Negative Experience with Kick so far:
I've been hit with what I presume are view bots approximately twice now. I can't say they are view bots for 100% certain but for almost 1 hour exactly (both times) I went up roughly 100 viewers and received no new "friends" or chatters during this time. This was really frustrating for me as I didn't want this to mess up my analytics at all and was afraid that it would just make me look bad if someone new came into my stream and seen all these people "watching" but nobody chatting. I did reach out to Kick support to let them know about it but nothing really ever came of it.
I also have received a couple of people trying to sell me art, banners, panels, etc but that's pretty normal for pretty much all streamers. But still unsolicited sales is never fun.
I've had a few people come into stream and even join my discord trying to sell me on a "coach" or "email marketing" where they try and sell you an email list of people to message the you're going live. As if that would ever work, If I ever receive an unsolicited email from a streamer asking me to go watch their live, best believe Ill never be in one of your streams.
I really enjoy the analytics behind streams such as unique viewers and such and really wish Kick had more analytics for streams but I understand it is still in beta so maybe these features will come soon.
Streaming in 1080p is pretty difficult as you are bit rate limited to like 8000 bits. I would love to see the bit rate increased over time as it seems streaming in 720p is really the best option for performance right now even if your internet can handle a higher bit rate.
TLDR: I managed to get 20 average viewers, 146 "friends", and stream for 122 hours in my first 30 days on Kick . I know its not anything crazy and I have a long way to go and grow but I'm just hoping this post will maybe put into perspective what is definitely achievable on the platform as a new streamer. If you have any questions or advice I am all ears! And I wish everyone nothing but success on their Kick Journey!

2024.05.15 01:04 Throwawaybob2225 With the measurements all out now, which player are you guys hoping we draft at 7?

For me personally, i think you'd be crazy to pass up Ron Holland if hes there at 7. He has best player in the draft upside, and now we know he has the size to play the 3 alongside Scoot and Sharpe. Im just worried his measurements will catapult him into the top 6.
Who do you guys want?

2024.05.15 01:03 DeepAd5387 Dunning letters by subsidiary

We are in the process of bringing on an additional subsidiary who would also like to use the dunning module. In the event that two subsidiaries share a customer, we want to send one dunning letter per subsidiary with the balance the customer owes just to that specific subsidiary, and a statement specific to that sub.
Our customers are set up where the primary subsidiary is the holding company, and then the rest of the subsidiaries are listed as additional subsidiaries on the "subsidiaries" tab.
I've explored using invoice dunning and don't think this is the best option because we don't want to send out a letter for each individual invoice. It seems that our best option is to control this via the fields we are pulling in to the dunning template(s). The reason I'm slightly optimistic is because if you go to the "Subsidiaries" tab on the customer record, you can see a field for the balance by subsidiary. I'm hoping this could mean there are subsidiary level controls available.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've been spinning my wheels on this for a while now

2024.05.15 01:03 EJC28 Jets 2024 Draft Analysis Compilation

Round 1, Pick 11 - Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State:
NFL: Though he enters the NFL as a work in progress, Fashanu is a long, athletic offensive tackle with a lot of upside. The good thing here is the Jets don’t need him to start from Day 1, so the Penn State product can learn behind established veterans Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses.
CBS Sports: B-. He is a left tackle for the future, but also insurance if Tyron Smith can’t play the whole season. He is good in pass protection, but needs to improve his run blocking. This isn’t an all-in pick like Brock Bowers might have been.
ESPN: Not the sexy pick, but the right pick. Georgia tight end Brock Bowers would've garnered bigger headlines than Fashanu, but the need at offensive tackle trumped what would have been a luxury pick. This was general manager Joe Douglas pouring more resources into an injury-riddled line that allowed 64 sacks, including the one that ended Aaron Rodgers' season on the fourth snap. Douglas acquired veterans Tyron Smith, Morgan Moses and John Simpson in free agency, and now he has a highly skilled heir apparent at left tackle. Fashanu needs seasoning as a run-blocker, but he allowed only one sack at Penn State and was named Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year. This marks the third time in the past five drafts that the Jets used a first-round pick on a lineman.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: He was not alive when The Waterboy came out.
Round 3, Pick 65 - Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky:
NFL: Some have likened Corley to "Deebo Samuel Lite" for his running back-like build and tackle-breaking ability, although he's not as dynamic a player yet as Samuel is. The Jets can use him in the Randall Cobb role and upgrade that spot, however.
CBS Sports: B. Angry WR who plays like a RB with the ball in his hands. Some route-tree experience but predominantly deployed as gadget type and showcased insane contact balance in college. Fun addition as extension of Jets run game. Just a niche type.
ESPN: The Jets have a new king -- the "YAC King," as Corley was known in college. They coveted him so much that they traded up seven spots, giving up a third-round pick (72) and a fifth-rounder (157). Rodgers gave his stamp of approval, telling Saleh via text that he's excited about Corley. He did two things exceptionally well in college: make yards after the catch and score touchdowns. From 2021 to 2023, he scored 29 receiving TDs (tied for the second most in the FBS) and racked up 2,068 yards after the catch, easily the most in the FBS. He's not a blazer (4.56 seconds in the 40), but he's a strong, violent runner, evoking comparisons to Deebo Samuel. The Jets' receivers didn't generate much YAC last season, so he should provide a needed dimension to the receiving corps. Corley is best out of the slot, but he can be used as a gadget player on screens and jet sweeps.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Round Three: If this was a MK fight someone would be a winner here.
Round 4, Pick 134 - Braelon Allen, RB, Wisconsin:
NFL: Allen is a big, fast back who might vault to RB2 behind Breece Hall eventually. There was some talk about Allen possibly landing in Round 3, so the value appears good. He's a straight-line runner but one who brings juice and force to the position.
CBS Sports: B+. Not a freaky specimen athletically but enormous RB with loads of experience. One of the youngest prospects in the entire class. Game is predicated on between-the-tackles vision and effortless power through contact. Not elusiveness or speed. Best pass pro RB in the class.
ESPN: A bit of a surprise, considering the Jets already have a terrific RB1, Breece Hall. Yes, they needed another backup to pair with 2023 draft pick Israel Abanikanda, and they opted for the 235-pound bruiser instead of a veteran free agent. Allen brings size and power to the position; he squatted 610 pounds as a freshman. He was the heaviest running back at scouting combine. His mindset: "I try to punish defenders." He befriended Derrick Henry via social media -- a pretty good resource for a "big" back. Allen rushed for 3,494 yards and 35 touchdowns in a highly productive career at Wisconsin, which has produced some fantastic running backs. His numbers dipped last season with a new coaching staff. Allen will push Abanikanda, who rushed for 70 yards as a rookie. In Hall, Allen and Abanikanda, they have plenty of speed, power and youth. In fact, Allen, who doesn't turn 21 until Jan. 20, is the youngest player in the draft.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Enjoys baby carrots and ranch as a light snack at the end of the day.
Round 5, Pick 171 - Jordan Travis, QB, Florida State:
NFL: Someone check on Aaron Rodgers! All kidding aside, this feels like an excellent landing spot for Travis, with Zach Wilson shipped to Denver and Rodgers perhaps a year or two from retirement. Travis made steady strides as a passer and leader over his five college seasons, taking care of the ball, threatening defenses with his legs and displaying the competitiveness and creativity to give him a shot.
CBS Sports: B-. Older but ascending passer who demonstrated clear improvement as a thrower during his collegiate career. Flair for the improvisational play with his legs and simply when keeping his eyes downfield after pressure mounts. Touch at all levels is good. Late-season torn ACL. Small frame with average at best arm talent but good accuracy.
ESPN: Five days after trading Zach Wilson to the Denver Broncos, the Jets added a new face to the quarterback room. Travis is a long-term project, a developmental player who can learn from two wise heads, Aaron Rodgers and Tyrod Taylor. It's an ideal situation for Travis, who, like Rodgers, is attempting to return from a major injury. In his case, it was a gruesome broken ankle last November, a devastating setback that ruined a storybook college season. Travis improved last season as a passer (20 TDs, two interceptions), but he still has a way to go. He has average arm strength, but he has exceptional movement skills. As he noted, "I'm a playmaker. I make plays when everything breaks down." Naturally, his surgically repaired ankle is a big question mark. He declined to give a timetable on when he'd be ready for football activities.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Once moonwalked an entire marathon. That’s right. 26.2 miles of moonwalk.
Round 5, Pick 173 - Isaiah Davis, RB, South Dakota State:
NFL: A consistent producer at the FCS level, Davis reminded me of Tyler Allgeier a bit as a prospect. Davis also showed up against a very good Iowa defense, with 80-plus yards from scrimmage. But did the Jets need another big back? They're pretty loaded with Breece Hall, Israel Abanikanda, Braelon Allen and now Davis. I like the player, but the redundancy is confusing.
CBS Sports: C. Big, highly athletic feature back without serious top speed but nifty cutting skill at all levels of the field. Will make many defenders miss although could experience some growing pains making step up in competition. Serious feature back potential but another RB?
ESPN: Another running back on Day 3? This certainly should send a message to Abanikanda. The competition is on. Davis is an interesting pick. He absolutely dominated FCS competition, rushing for 4,548 yards and 50 touchdowns in his career. He led the FCS last season with 1,578 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. But can he make the jump to the NFL? At 6-foot, 218 pounds, he has an NFL body, but his speed (4.57 in the 40) is suspect. He came from a gap blocking scheme and will have to adjust to the Jets' zone-based scheme. He should be a terror on special teams, which is what you want out of a backup running back drafted in the fifth round.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Knows the difference between a null value and zero on a tax return.
Round 5, Pick 176 - Qwan’tez Stiggers, CB, CFL (Toronto Argonauts):
NFL: Stiggers never played college football, which is why he had to take the unusual CFL-to-the-NFL draft route. But he's a fascinating talent with clear ballhawking skills in his one year with the Toronto Argonauts, even if he's a clear project.
CBS Sports: C+. Traits and flash-based CB who still needs to learn the nuances of reading routes and understanding concepts but at times his athletic skill and size get him to the football. Twitch and speed jump out on film. Not a sound tackler right now.
ESPN: The Jets drafted three projects in the fifth round, none bigger than Stiggers, who has no college experience and played one season (2023) in the CFL for the Toronto Argonauts. He was eligible for the NFL draft because he didn't attend college. He's extremely raw, but the tools are there. He has good size (5-foot-11, 203) and ran the 40 in 4.45 seconds at his pro day. For the Argos, he recorded five interceptions and was named most outstanding defensive rookie. He joins a loaded cornerback room, led by All-Pro Sauce Gardner. Stiggers is an ideal candidate for the practice squad, where he could continue his development.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: I’m just here to remind you that the Arizona Cardinals exist.
Round 7, Pick 257 - Jaylen Key, S, Alabama:
NFL: Key has pretty interesting length for a DB and he played arguably well for Bama after transferring from UAB, but his lack of long speed likely keeps his role limited to box-safety duties in the NFL.
CBS Sports: C+. Sizable, reasonable athlete who’s best near the line of scrimmage but doesn’t play with his hair on fire. Sound tackler and will lay the lumber. Has the linear speed to run with TEs down the seam. Not a bendy mover so doesn’t stick to his responsibilities in coverage often. Average-at-best ball skills.
ESPN: Hello, Mr. Irrelevant -- the Jets' first since 1969. Key is a 6-1, 208-pound safety known for his physical style of play. He doesn't have great speed (4.6 in the 40), but his noted toughness will help him land a role on special teams. Key began his career at UAB, spending only one season at Alabama. He started 12 games for coach Nick Saban, but he didn't have much ball production -- only one interception and two passes defensed. The Jets' safety depth could have an opening or two. After incumbent Tony Adams, they have veteran Chuck Clark and career backup Ashtyn Davis.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Was drafted into the NFL and no one can ever take that away from him.

2024.05.15 01:00 Either_Remote1341 Trying to restore the files on an ssd

so ive got an omen 15 hp laptop that i dropped from my desk onto the floor. i booted it up and got a 3FO error telling me to download an operating system to my hard disk. i had a feeling that the ssd itself had gotten knocked out of place and so i tried cleaning up the port a little and putting it back in snugly. didnt work so i checked the other parts by trying to boot with a usb and hirens (succeeded, got to desktop, fully working) a windows installation tool (got to the installation part and saw the normal omen loading screen) as well as ventoy which loaded a few things before going black with a popping white line in the top left which it wouldnt let me do anything further. all tests were run with the ssd outside of the laptop besides one ventoy test, in which case the result was similar to the non ssd ventoy test but it just took much longer to load.
I believe this means all parts are working besides the ssd, which is great! but i want the files on the ssd back. i plugged it into my pc via an external hard disk but that is currently giving me the prompt (D:\ is not accessible." "incorrect function" i also attempted to plug it into one of my ssd slots directly however my pc started acting a little weird. my rgb flickered on for a second after i hit the power switch but went back off. and wouldnt do so again unless i unplugged the cord and then flipped the power switch on again. i was concerned by this and forgot to hit the actual power button to my pc and so im not sure whether or not that actually mattered, but after i removed the ssd it did the exact same thing., but upon hitting the power button it turned on. im not sure if putting it in via an external hard disk to usb or slotting it directly into my motherboard makes that big of a difference but i figured it would be best to include.

2024.05.15 01:00 livia2lima Day 8 - The infamous "grep" and other text processors

INTRO

Your server is now running two services: the sshd (Secure Shell Daemon) service that you use to login; and the Apache2 web server. Both of these services are generating logs as you and others access your server - and these are text files which we can analyse using some simple tools.
Plain text files are a key part of "the Unix way" and there are many small "tools" to allow you to easily edit, sort, search and otherwise manipulate them. Today we’ll use grep, cat, more, less, cut, awk and tail to slice and dice your logs.
The grep command is famous for being extremely powerful and handy, but also because its "nerdy" name is typical of Unix/Linux conventions.

YOUR TASKS TODAY

The output of any command can be "redirected" to a file with the ">" operator. The command: ls -ltr > listing.txt wouldn't list the directory contents to your screen, but instead redirect into the file "listing.txt" (creating that file if it didn't exist, or overwriting the contents if it did).

WHERE'S MY /VALOG/AUTH.LOG?

If you didn't find the file /valog/auth.log you're probably using a minimal version of Ubuntu (it can be your own local VM or a version in one of the VPS). That minimal image is, well... minimal. It only has the systemd journal available and it didn't come with the old syslog system by default.
But don't worry! To get that back, sudo apt install rsyslog and the file will be created. Just give it a few minutes to populate before working on the lesson.
It also be missing a few of the other programs we use in the challenge, but you can always install them.

POSTING YOUR PROGRESS

Re-run the command to list all the IP's that have unsuccessfully tried to login to your server as root - but this time, use the the ">" operator to redirect it to the file: ~/attackers.txt. You might like to share and compare with others doing the course how heavily you're "under attack"!
