Test Synthesis is consistently generating static and/or really scribbly pitches, regardless of what's going on with the oto. If it doesn't like where the markers are, it hangs on synthesis, only to throw up "segmentation violation".
I've tested another bank, and it works fine. I've tried throwing out or resetting the FRQ, LLSM, oto, everything except the WAV itself (none of them have audibly corrupted during regular playback). I've reinstalled and tried both languages, run it in admin, restarted the PC, named the bank something the program couldn't have an issue with, and it's been in the right locale through all of it. I've done everything short of asking the provider to rerecord everything. UTAU is having no related issues with the bank.
I'm just really miffed that SP has specifically decided it hates this one bank. Is re-recording the only option left?

Binago niya ang pamumuhay namin, binago niya ang aming relihiyon, at higit sa lahat, binago niya ang Diyos na kilala namin.

Binanggit niya rin na ilang gabi niya nang napanaginipan ang ama, tinatawag na daw siya dahil tapos na ang kanyang misyon sa mundo. Umalingawngaw na sa kalangitan ang mga trumpetang yumanig sa humihimlay na puntod ng bundok. Tila’y nanigas ang aming mga katawan sa malomanay nitong tono na nanggagaling mismo sa dumidilim na kalangitan. Ang kaninang maliit na bagay sa langit ay kasing laki na ng tao kung pagmamasdan mo mula sa lupa.

In understanding an infinite truth we try to describe the best we can. We attach names to joint concepts bridging 2 ideas or a new idea to try to find the deepest answer we can especially personally, wording can get messy so some key unified and holistic words of the true reality framework are needed to simplify
Unity consciousness= the fundamentally self aware state of existence, it is god, it is reality, it is the higher self, it is the current self, it is all that is. It is the highest consciousness and it is every consciousness.
That’s how I’ll begin post 1 discussing this unity consciousness and its dynamics because as I’ve said, all information is fractal to the truth, all information is truth just in different representations because Unity consciousness is boundless, it is endless self expression, you just have to put the pieces back together and you’ll realise everything and anything is true and possible if you know what your looking at. Remember perspective is key but really the “truth” doesn’t even matter because you can literally create and shape your narrative of existence so that what you want to believe is literally true and this isn’t an ability to learn, it’s a process to awaken to and take control of.
So why am I trying to create a “unified understanding” to allow you to know what you are and the infinite power you literally just have to wake up to. Don’t worry as I’m still very much going through it myself I know that pushing past the mindless self to awaken to the self written god you are is a process that isn’t quick although everyone is meant to see it differently.
As I said my personal journey pretty much began discovering the importance of quantum field in the universes creation or the Big Bang , I learned the universe was a spawn of data, quantum information interacting due to complexity drive, from information to quantum particle states the smallest possible chemistry and evolution began on the quantum level, this is the Big Bang. A quantum fluctuation, then another, the state of the field changing and evolving into this universe,
I learned this act of creation and complexity drive is inherently a conscious activity beyond current perception, something unexplainable, something we won’t know for a long time, personally I thought it can’t be that hard and took the journey on myself.
Now you understand the importance of the quantum field and how we perceive it as governed and in place by Unity consciousness,
Quantum physics is often understood as more questions to an answer than an explanation so let’s provide the explanation
Fundamentally as I said time does not exist. Separation is an illusion well what does this mean and how does it relate to anything? Well you can believe that one state of information is different to another (colour for example) well no quantum physics shows particles become entangled in a way that they literally become one, if the state of one is changed the state of another is changed, 2 states of information perfectly reflecting eachother acting as 1, think of it as a show from a pair or 2 different colours, red and blue, when they touch they don’t mix they become one,
(ever heard of the holy trinity? Things work in 3? This represents yin and Yang, good and evil, resulting in the 3rd aspect harmony, or perfection. This 3rd aspect represents god, represents Unity consciousness)
So 2 or more particles and their quantum states become intertwined So that if particle a’s state is measured it will instantly effect the state of particle b, if a’s spin is measured as up the b’s spin will be found as down, this effect is instantaneous as if time as space doesn’t exist and isn’t a factor in the communication of particles
Here we understand a deeper level of connection, a deeper perceived realm to discover, a realm or field where time and space are simply tools and this is what is seen as the unified field of consciousness positing all particles and their quantum states so inherently all of physical creation are even more so connected through this deeper realm than through the quantum realm where all particles may simultaneously become altered regardless of time and space, this realm shows and posits that fundamentally separation is illusion, particle a is particle b just expressed differently based on the system of measurement (observer effect)
Particle a and particle b exist simultaneously as one and it’s only upon the measurement they become separated
I believe all quantum states and existence exists simultaneously. Unity consciousness exists simultaneously, particle a up spin is one half of the whole. And particle b reflects the other half of the whole, but fundamentally they are one particle, we are just seeing two separate reflections of the same thing
The law of trinity runs deep and this is what it represents 2 sides of the same higher being whole In this case of physics and scale, the lower fundamental whole
So that’s quantum entanglement and regardless of the solid evidence I provide this is physics and it’s easy to learn and understand the deeper truth behind the confusion quantum mechanics seems to bring people but if you haven’t realised we’re explained and understood non locality if your aware of what it is but next quantum superposition

TRF underscores that an individual experience is generated from the brain including their whole reality, everything an individual could think or remember to be true is merely one configuration of information and can be altered but TRF also understands the limitations of a person’s experience if they limit their perception, if we really do live in a “holographic” environment where your brain defines your reality then it would make sense your beliefs hold immense power,
What do you believe came first, your experience or the thought of it? Your experience because how can you think about your experience if it hasn’t happened yet? No. Every creation was an idea in someone’s head at some point, every existence was determined before being, people call this force god but as we know, we are god fundamentally
What I’m talking about here is the inherent power to remember your god and embody Unity consciousness but there’s a lot stopping us (not really) think of your reality like your muscle memory, and think about beliefs, if your used to believing something then it’s been passed through your brain limitless times “this information is correct” it’s muscle memory what’s correct? “This information” it’s an automatic response deep within yourself much like the ego, this automatic response is generating your reality, for example let’s say a flat earth. Do you believe it or are you not that stupid? Guess what it’s entirely possibly, you can live in an experience where flat earth is real but I’ll guess your brain tells you no this isn’t correct? Flat earth is a no go? Why? Well that’s a long answer that you’d know more than me but your brain thinks it knows that’s bs. So it is bs, but your brain can make it equally as real as fake because as I’ve said already remember. Everything is equally as true… as its fake
Back to unity consciousness, everything is god, I’ll explain this a little more, so a rock, not conscious? That rock will forever be perfectly placed with perfect timing to align with one higher purpose or another and this can be said about the whole of existence, unity consciousness is perfectly all knowing, but wait your probably a bit confused? If existence is perfectly in place what do you mean our brain generates our existence?? Well I’ll clear this and a couple things up with an example
So you stub your toe, you trip and fall, this was negative right? Why would myself generate this, why would god generate this? To tell you to watch where your fucking walking lol. Think about it, if you from that point forward forever watched where your going you wouldn’t stub your toe or trip over nearly as much, I also use this to demonstrate pain and negativity as illusionary tool of evolution. You and your godly self generated that experience so maybe if you took the chance you wouldn’t ever have another like it which is actually positive is it not? Watch for your godly self in ways like that and remember to keep your lower (ego) self in line by being aware of this opportunity and acting upon it. If you were too busy being a sook and hating god for doing that to you, you wouldn’t see how it’s your decision wether it happens again
And that example there is something that could help millions I’d like to think, I’d like to experience being able to show the world for one how pain is illusionary and unnecessary, negativity as a whole description is not real, any acts of pain are acts of elevation and I’d like to experience the world awaking to this understanding so you can all learn to live in the world you see right and what’s harmonious for your reflective self

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share an interesting story that happened to me a few days ago in the world of Tibia. It involves Lady Tenebris, a bit of bad luck, and ultimately, a reminder of the good people in our community.
With Lady Tenebris being boosted, I decided to maximize the opportunity by killing her just after server save (SS) and aiming for another kill before the next SS. Since I work night shifts and finish just an hour before SS, I knew time was tight. So, right after work, I logged into the game on my Surface Go 2 tablet at my workplace. I met up with my organized team, and we successfully took down Lady Tenebris.
After the fight, I quickly packed up my gear, pressing a button to stow my Soulshell armor back into my backpack. I then closed my device, unplugged my mouse dongle, packed my tablet into my real backpack, and headed home. Later, when I logged back into the game on the PC and went to kill more bosses, I noticed my Soulshell armor was missing. It wasn’t in any of my backpacks or my depo. I was puzzled.
Suspecting a bug introduced by a recent update, I asked around in a server Discord group if anyone else had experienced something similar. One member, going by the name Dash Zoomyy(1000+ RP), asked me about the specifics of the armor and if it was imbued. He also asked if I had killed Lady Tenebris that morning. After confirming my responses, he told me he had my armor.
Here's what happened: After I killed the boss and left the fight room, I entered the safe room, where I pressed the power button on my tablet and got kicked from the game a moment later. Sometime later, Dash entered that room and saw a 290 Royal Paladin, Roberto'Pall, standing there with a Soulshell armor laying on the ground. Assuming it was dropped by accident, Dash let Roberto pick it up. Roberto didn't feel good about keeping something that wasn't his and, suspecting that the armor actually belonged to Dash Zoomyy, decided to return it to him. At first, Roberto thought it was just some player disguising himself as the armor with spells. It took him a moment to realize that it was indeed a Best-in-Slot (BiS) armor just laying on the floor.
Despite his guildmates advising him to keep the armor, Roberto felt it was right to give it back. I reached out to thank Roberto for his honesty, as he saved me from losing around 110 million gold coins. Although this might not be a significant amount for many, it was for me, given my playstyle doesn't generate much income, and I had bought the armor for 150 million only thanks to selling Tibia coins.
A few days later, I powered on my tablet again and saw my character still in that small room with the Soulshell armor on the floor. It seems I might have accidentally dragged the armor out while closing my device, likely due to contact between the keyboard and screen.
This experience reminded me that despite the sometimes self-serving nature of online games, there are still good people out there who care about others. Let’s appreciate and cherish these moments and the people who make our community better.

Despite his guildmates' advice to keep it, Roberto returned the armor, saving me from losing 110 million gold coins.

They have the highest app usage among OTAs with 83 million Monthly Active Users cumulatively across our apps. However, within each of their apps, they integrate and cross-sell all services they operate to ensure that users may not necessarily require another app ,like users can book a flight on the ixigo train app or ConfirmTkt and a bus journey on the ixigo flight app, and a train ticket on the AbhiBus app allowing them to discover and buy multiple travel services.
Product segments
1. Airline ticketing

Ixigo, started in 2007, as a flight comparison website enabled travellers to research and compare relevant price information and book their preferred flight in a cost-efficient and informed manner from OTAs. Ixigo later graduated to OTA( Online Travel Agent) in FY20. Ixigo is the 2nd largest OTA( Online Travel Agent) in terms of revenues, with 6% market share.
They operate through 4 different apps Ixigo flights,Ixigo trains, ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus. Ixigo is the largest Indian train ticket distributor in the OTA rail market with largest market share of around 51%, in terms of rail bookings, among OTAs. Their bus-focused app, AbhiBus, was the second largest bus-ticketing OTA in India, with a 11.5% market share in online bus ticket bookings in FY23. They had a market share in India of about 5.2% of the total airline OTA market by volume in H1 FY24. A few days ago Wahoo registered a new FCC. PADWF148 is the internal name for a new HR sensor with the name TRACKR.
Seems not to be simply the next iteration of the TICKR series but a fully new device.
Personally I'd prefer the next bike computer generation but I'm interested to see if Wahoo learned from their mistakes from the past.

This is going to take a while, so id like to lead with something i found sort of amusing while doing research for this post
currently, the highest amount of energy a warframe can achieve, would be Garuda Prime with Primed Flow, Endurance Drift, and 5 blue Tauforged Archon shards. this would get 1319 max energy.
Assuming that Garuda could fully activate Battery Armor, by itself, she would reach 1320 max energy.
lastly, it has been made clear that Battery armor is subject to change, as are all of the upcoming arcanes. what follows will be assuming that we get it as it has been shown. and may serve as argumentation for if it should, or should not, be changed.
Battery Armor is a very interesting Arcane. at .3 max energy per point of armor, youd need 3334 armor to fully activate the effect, granting any warframe 1000 energy max.
there is alot to unpack here, but before we talk about how much armor that is, and if/when this is worth using when you cant max it out, we need to address a more complicated problem.
why do you want energy Max? and when you do, what would you possibly want with that much of it?
Energy max is a component of the Trifecta of the "Energy Economy". that being energy generation, energy expense, and energy max, aka your buffer.
there are about a billion ways these days to generate energy, and efficiency/duration can reduce the amount of energy you spend. letting you increase income and decrease expense. with good enough energy generation, energy max becomes superfluous. so when is energy max warranted?
the first case is when you want to cast 1 ability for a really, really long time, that has a drain effect you cant bypass. this is sort of the Mesa problem, though with health orb creators and the Dispensary in the helminth its not that big of a deal for Mesa either.
the second case is when your energy Generation is very "Bursty". the peak popularity of Primed Flow Coincided with the dominance of Arcane Energize. having a high energy cap was important to ensure that when energize went off, you didn't lose part of it due to not having room for the full 150. Energize has a hard cap of 600 energy per minute. it can only be less efficient than that, not more. if your energy cap was low, around 200, youd often lose part of your energize, it was important to bump it up higher so that didnt happen. as Energize has fallen out of favor, so has flow. there are still some energy generation setups that are sufficiently bursty. Spectrosiphon setups generate about a billion energy orbs, but they can be tedious to maintain. having a high E max can mean you dont need too do the siphon dance nearly as often.
the third case is in combination with things like the Preparation mod, for non-endless mission builds that forgo energy generation entirely and plan to just bring all the energy they need with them.
these all focus on Emax as it pertains to the role of energy in ability casting, but there are 3 more cases that dont.
the first being ofcourse, incarnon weapons. a number of them have effects that only work when you have a certain amount of Emax. and for some frames reaching that number is not possible with Primed Flow alone. for some setups Battery Armor may be more practical.
the current lowest base energy capacity is Ash Prime, at 150. to get to 700 Emax for triggering Paladin's Virtue would require Ash to have 1834 armor. this is still a little bit... . this is still very impractical.
so maybe god didnt intend ash prime too use Angstrum incarnon, and we will just have to live with that. surely there are other frames and situations where it will be more helpful.
the second worth noting is Secondary Surge. Yet another new arcane which, if it shipped as its presented, would offer up a damage multiplier on the next shot in exchange for your Current energy. up to 8x at 1600 Current energy.
if this is, effectively, 800% roar, then surely someone somewhere will find a practical use for this. even if it is just killing Terry with a non-incarnon Lato. i can feel the Dark Pull of the Azima once again calling to me, but im sure DE pre-emptively made this not apply to the turrets to salt my wounds.
nothing definite can be said about Surge right now, since we dont have it. the fact that its 1 shot and the fact that most of our big enemies damage attenuate means this will likely end up as a gimmick for BTFO'ing Demo units at absolute best.
the last reason to want high energy max has already been foreshadowed, Quick Thinking.
Quick thinking is a profoundly old mod. its rare to find something from 2013 warframe that still has some straight up voodoo too it, but well. . .the Wiki cannot Define what a "strong hit" is, and the problem isnt even documented ingame.
setting that aside, Quick thinking lets you treat your energy bar like a health bar. 1000 energy would translate into 2400 additional health. and yes Quick thinking scales with your armor. to get that energy you are automatically assuming atleast 3334 armor, so that'd make you fairly tanky. really the idea of being able to spec into survival focusing on shields, health, or energy as your main juice of survival would be great.
ok so there are at least a handful of reasons you might want to Spike your Emax into the Stratosphere, now lets talk about the problem.
3334 armor is alot of fucking armor.
really only one warframe is going to get this effect for free. .and thats Chroma. who arguably doesn't need it. i mean i guess itd make using his 4 easier. . i guess. Quick Thinking Chroma is kind of a silly concept for a frame that can already get a billion health without any help.
moving down the line, Triple umbral atlas prime with his Maxed out Passive hits 2900 armor. Health conversion + his passive hits 3350. thats just 1 mod, which is not bad. though HC isnt totally reliable, particularly when you are solo.
a valk with Health conversion and like 375+ strength would get there as well. in this case Triple umbral and Health conversion are of equal value.
Grendel Prime, with his gourmand augment, a fully stacked passive, and Health Conversion gets there. though the reliability of keeping Grendels belly fully is somewhat iffy.
Hydroid's plunder can get there, though the abilty is. . we shall be generous and say "has a high skill cap" and not "is profoundly unreliable". he would sill need like over 400 strength or to be running an extra source of armor, but any one will do.
Wukong's Defy gets him part of the way there, but 1350+1500+290 still puts us short.
oberon and inaros would both need totally impractical amounts of power strength, and you dont remember that octavia has an armor buff, so i wont talk about it.
Melee fortification and 16 kills per 10 seconds gets there, il leave explaining why this is not helpful as an exercise for the reader.
lastly, lets talk about Parasitic armor. we can fiddle with the numbers here a bit. at 300 Strength youd only need about 1100 shields, or really less given your base armor. the main issue with this idea is that you cant gain more shields until it runs out, so you cant use this effect to keep your energy max up permanently. you can use it to temporarily spike your Emax. .but to what end?
lets look at some more practical things.
a Tauforged blue archon shard gives 225 armor and would also give 67.5 Emax. effectively doubling the value of the shard, in a very specific way.
ive mentioned health conversion a few times. for most warframes, health conversion is the best 1 slot source of armor available. you need more than 750 base armor before Triple umbral'd fiber becomes a better option.
Battery Armor makes Health conversion give 405 Emax in addition to the armor it gives.
is that good?
Primed flow gives exactly 405 Emax if your have 225 base energy. 225 is the most common base energy in the game, though again, accounting for base armor, you would come out slightly ahead of primed flow
the problem here is that arcane slots are generally. . .more valuable than mod slots. so spending an arcane slot to save a mod slot seems pointless. especially if you are having to build into armor just to get it active.
Battery armor being balanced so that the most powerful source of flat armor being roughly as valuable as primed flow on the bulk of warframes feels intentional, and that feels bad. Battery armor feels like a "third arcane slot" arcane as it is currently presented, but. . well. i genuinely think even if the armor to Emax was a 1 to 1 conversion, it would probably still not be terribly popular. it feels over-balanced at the moment.
.3 = 3334 armor to max
.4 = 2500 armor to max
.5 =2000 armor to max
.6=1667 armor to max.
let me present you with a Hypothetical.
currently, there is a combo i call HC+AB. Health Conversion + Arcane Blessing, gives 1350 armor and 1200 HP. its a pair of flat buffs that gives even relatively squishy warframes a solid baseline of tanking, for the bargain price of 1 mod slot and 1 arcane slot.
if Battery Armor were set to .6 armor per 1 E max
most warframes can get too 1667 armor with Health conversion+ their base armor + an Archon shard.
if they instead Ran Battery Armor instead of arcane Blessing, and also ran Quick Thinking. they'd have 1350 armor and +1000 Emax which would then be counted as effectively 2400 HP.
for 1 additional mod slot, weve doubled the Ehp of blessing, we dont need a source of healing anymore, but we are significantly more dependent on good energy management. no i will not start talking about Adaptation this late in the game, but in terms of boosting your Ehp for 1 mot slot. . .you get the idea.
and i still in my gut feeling thing that this would not be worth it. you'd need to address the Faults of Quick thinking and like. . make it a 9 cost mod or something. and the itd still be more build-space than shield gating for something that's likely just as hard to pilot.
this is obviously meant to be combo'd with the other Emax based arcane dropping this set but there is a single digit number of frames that can even Feasibly get too 1600 Emax through this effect, and for that work you still need too cast an ability before every shot.
is this intended to support. .what? the selection of Mediocre Grenade based incarnon sidearms that nobody uses? Atamos Zylok and Gammacor? maybe you could put this behind Lex but Lex is already ludicriously strong without a trapeze act to perform before you can shoot it. i say again . .to what end?
this is alot of work to put into achieving Big Number given you've spent the last 2 years making all of the relevant bosses and minibosses resistant to Big Number technology. i guess maybe this is a new avenue for acoltye nuking, maybe? should be funny with the Grimore alt fire.
as someone who plays almost entirely for Novelty these days, and who has spent much of the last few months getting to know Caliban on a first name basis, my standards of "worth it" are about as low as you can go without busting out the spade. so when i say something doesnt seem like its worth it, that is a judgment of value coming from someone who considers 6 formaing Venato to be a valid use of my time.

there are limited reasons to even want significant amounts of Emax, aside from a bespoke combo with an upcoming sidearm arcane that will probably be more trouble than its worth outside of Mr.WarframeGuy's meme videos (and they will no doubt be glorious). interactions with Quick thinking while interesting to think about are burdened by the fact that you are forced to run quick thinking. QT is occasionally useful, but until DE at a bare minimum publishes the conditions for it to Stagger me, and better yet just removes that part of QT entirely il leave the Energymaxxing survival strategy in the hypothetical category.
do you think Battery Armor should ship as presented, or should the rate of armor too energy be raised? personally i think .5 armor per energy, for a max requirement of 2000 armor, would be a fair bit more mannage for a larger portion of the cast. i think .3 is unreasonably low, but im curious if im alone in that. i think any higher than .5 and were lapsing from Fair into Generous.
i also think that no amount of Emax can make the stat itself more Valuable, as simply generating energy reliably is easier and more useful than being able to store alot of it. having good energy generation is a need. having good energy storage is a want.
the best use of over 1k energy max that i can think of is Recreating this old meme using Banshee's 4.

“Where would a gentleman be without his trusty timepiece? Though upon closer inspection… it seems that this pocket-watch is anything but ordinary.” – In game description of the pocket-watch.
The pocket watch is a utility item which would allow the Doctor to tap into the otherworldly forces of the mirror dimension to harness supernatural powers. This idea came from a few places. Namely, the pocket watch you can find in the Warehouse area (though at this point it can only be sold for treasure) as well as the watch used to time the generator in Amnesia: The Bunker.
The Doctor would equip the watch in his right hand as he does other weapons. This means that it would not be possible to use the pocket-watch in conjunction with an offensive weapon. Using the primary-fire button, the Doctor would be able to activate the watch and trigger an ability. Pressing the ‘change-ammunition’ key would allow the Doctor to switch between different abilities. Visually, this would be reflected by the whether the glass-locket-doors of the pocket watch are opened, half-opened or closed:
1) Shroud (doors-closed): Upon using the primary-fire button, the Doctor partially phases into the mirror dimension and becomes far harder to spot for a period of time. Even in full light, the Doctor appears as a shadowy and shaded figure. This ability would enable the Doctor to cross dangerous and brightly lit areas. The downside to this is that the Shroud does not negate sound (perhaps as a sort of ‘monkey-paw’ element, using the Shroud could actually increase the sound made by the Doctor).
2) Spring (doors half open): By pressing, the fire button gravity takes on the properties of the Mirror-Dimension. This would function similar to the slow-fall potions in Thief and also allow the Doctor to cross large gaps in a single bound. It would also make falling long distances survivable.
3) Shift (doors open): By pressing the primary-fire button, the Doctor would instantaneously shift forward. This ability would function similarly to the Blink ability in Dishonored and would allow the Doctor to quickly dash from shadow to shadow. By holding and then releasing the primary-fire, the Doctor would be able to target the swoop ability. So as to not be as game-breaking as Blink, the Shift would be very short range and would only act on a horizontal plane. This means no teleporting upwards or scaling large buildings. Additionally, the watch would only be able to hold two charges of the Shift before its ‘ammunition’ is depleted.
Holding the check-ammunition key would cause the Doctor to lift the pocket-watch to his face and view the hands of the pocket-watch. The ‘magazine’ capacity would be indicated by the gap between the minute hand and the hour hand. The hour-hand would remain fixed at the 12-o-clock position and the minute hand would travel around the clock face (thus indicating the depletion of the 'magazine') as the Doctor uses its abilities.
The pocket-watch would not require ‘reloading’ but would only recharge upon entering/ exiting the mirror dimension. This would prevent players from abusing the pocket-watch’s abilities and would also make the watch arduous to replenish.
I thought this could be a fun way to add diegetic traversal powers to the game.

2024.06.09 10:16 BasicallyEvery1 [GM4A] A Star Wars Roleplay from someone who likes Cyberpunk's and Star Wars' setting. This time with a bit more individuality after the Clones started to have more that developed an individual Personality and Lightsabers became *more* common.

So, it's Star Wars, you know how things go. "The Empire" has taken many planets and its not about to stop anytime soon. "The Emperor" has recently deceased and a new one has risen to Power, whose methods are less about conquering and moreso about breaking other people's will. Instead of committing crimes against the people of a planet he's interesting in extinguishing every flame, every light snd every spark of hope that they might have in a so-called "rebellion", thus targeting rebels is his main priority.
Here you come into play as one of three roles.
  1. Rebel: You are the very thing he swore to destroy. As a rebellion you've basically put a target on yourself, your family and everyone you've ever loved. Though it's for the greater good! Your ultimate goal is to overthrow the Empire and destroy it for good, though you haven't got a clue where to start, not to mention that the "rebels" where you live consist of you and... yourself. You've yet to find anyone willing to join you in your quest.
  2. Sith: Evil Incarnate. You are the bad guy, you've been raised under the teachers of the Emperor in matters of force, fighting and following orders. Your newest orders have confirmed that you are to scour across planets one by one and destroy anyone you find guilty of committing crimes or even the highest of them all: treason. What about them? Well, dirty rebel scum like themselves is to be taken by you and then interrogated to give out information. The one man you need to find? "Vex Centis", the so-called, self-proclaimed Rebel leader.
  3. Clone: What? Well, clones are supposed to be- well, clones?! And that is exactly what you are, though... not quite. Imperfect clones are more often than not unwanted side products of the Republic and whatever left of it, and in the last couple of years these "side products" have proven to be more effective than the Jedi had hoped, hence they were not taken into combat directly but had to endure better training, where a lot of them developed distinct roles for themselves and started to modify themselves, their weapons, gear, helmet and the likes. After a long time training with yourself or others you need to find a place for yourself in the universe, though which side will you take? The one that has been "defeated" and is to he extinguished or will you work with "The Empire" to rise to greatness?
Each one of these has a couple of secrets that I'm not revealing just yet. If you have any interest in this post come to me with a couple of things! I don't actually remember when exactly I made this dude, but it was definitely after 2019. I remembered, in the middle of the night, that we had 3 webkinz llamas laying around the house, effectively unclaimed by anyone, and I just got up and went to get them, then spent the next few hours carefully decapitating two and attaching their heads to the third. I didn't "bedazzle" them with their jewelry until probably last year, which is also when I decided on their names. With the help of a mish-mashed name generator online. Meet Gregonzo (middle), Kimble (left), and Stefin (right).

Almost every time I see a topic online discussing Legendary Pokemon, Articuno is named the worst LP of all generations. I don't think he's the best, but it's an OK Pokemon for me. In Gen1 for example, I think Moltres sucks more then Art, it's a level 50 Pokemon and it's best attack is Fire Spin! Art has Ice beam. Also, I like Articuno's design. So, do you like Articuno? If you think he sucks, why is that?

Reached last sector on like the third run, not hard when I retreat out battles I can't win.
No wait, I HAVE to fight a boss? So this is not a survival game that requires wits and brains then? I have a bad feeling about this...
But let's see what's what first. First stage, no issue. But they retreated, as expected. Old tricks. Second stage, hold on, the attack frequency doesn't sound right.
Had to retreat halfway, because my crew is not skilled enough to handle boarding drones. And who will be, it's supposed to be about resource management and survival, isn't it? My bad feeling intensifies.
Repaired and fighting second stage for the second time, I was crossing my fingers hoping it's going to be RNG but not the same attack pattern...
Nope, it's the same. Watched the recording and did a rough calculation on boss's DPS, even if RNG is on my side, it requires at least 3 shields which I don't have.
My bad feelings confirmed - This is not a survival game, but a stat-based RPG ripping off FF4/5/6's combat mechanic.
This is going to be a good use of time... but I'm still hopeful. Resources are finite from stores, aren't they?
Nope, turns out time pressure, the map, and the fuel limitation - all smoke and mirrors. Out of fuel on its own is an event generator.
Okay, not ideal. It's now simply a matter of grinding every single sector. Turned difficulty on Hard, started a new run.
Yep, there's no resource management, no survival. Okay, maybe a bit at the beginning, but soon not just battles, but the entire game became an absolute slog.
At one stage I began to put battles on autofire. Because 2 minutes of hands-off time is more valuable to me than 15 seconds of hands-on waiting to click time. Good luck surviving multiple shields and multiple sets of burst laser.
When I have enough ""scraps"" to buy every store empty, it simply shows how poor UI is:
  1. I've never missed a beam weapon, never in over 50 shots - it's either bugged or have innate 100% accuracy. Was it stated? Nope.
  2. Bombs bypass defence drones. Good luck when RNG is not on your side and have to fight the last battle with missiles. Would you know that? Nope, of course there won't be a list of weapon catalogues; and of course the fanbase will tell you it's part of the rouge-lite fun. Same for super shields and hijacking rewards - good luck finding any info about it.
  3. Intruders on ship will show you their names instead of any usual racial information. I bet they come wearing make-ups with a welcoming smile on their faces too. Good luck not encountering any new race in-store, because then you wouldn't know their racial bonus and wouldn't have to remember their pixel arts. Just run blind into a brick wall, the fanbase will tell you it's fun.
So here I'm, back after witnessing the replies from confrontational mansplainers seemingly brought up by self-obsessed patriarchy and a strong sense of self-righteousness. Completed the game and presenting an one sentence review:
TL;DR FTL is a stat-based resource-hoarding linear game that rewards simply based on time invested, stay away if you are after a puzzle that needs a brain to solve.
If you still insist to play, go RTFM (Read the fucking manual)... oh wait, there isn't one :)

One person with excellent, higher-order programming skills in Godot GDScript who could pair with my graphics and programming abilities for a highly popular 1990's game title, top down racer remake.

Game Synopsis:

Single player, Super Cars Clone but more realistic + crazy + more detailed and prettier graphics. With 1990’s styling and Roguelite-ish collect & combat precepts throughout.

Synopsis of Theme:

You are an up and coming racecar driver. It is the 1990's when flamboyant super cars, daring films(James Bond esq) and thrilling car races are all the buzz. Catching this excitement, a movie studio has noticed your driving talent. During a racing season, you'll be given access to 'unique' races at movie locations. Ie: "Blues Brothers Mall scene", or driving through a mine site with giant excavators and blasting of rock walls for that all important movie-shot. Or, many other weird and unusual prop-heavy locations, like a slime factory, or an industrial petrochemical plant complete with fiery explosions and other such spectacular events. To achieve access to these, you need to prove your worth on the daily race track. Many are non-ordinary tracks. They'll have things like giant water canons to push you around, wobbling roads, uneven rocky tracks, dips, jumps, giant pinball flippers, oil firing canons, trains and other devices all while in furious and intense competition with other NPC drivers.
Be forewarned, the video’s below show a distinct lack of polish. Ie: skidding-black level on packed dirt, no inertia correction in skid, no proper power to gear ratio etc, etc.

Overview of Game ‘Chunks’:

Some Cars
Ok. in absolute brief: You start at ‘D’ category, have access to those cars and parts at that level. Above, cars on the left are ‘D’, then the next two are ‘C’, then next two are ‘B’, ‘A’, and the last two are ‘Ultra Class’ category. Each Category is an entire season of 10 tracks each. Including special event tracks.
On the roads, there are props, you plough into them for rewards, and special things called ‘chits’. Props are fences, oil drums, wood piles and anything that looks like it needs a good smashing.
Ultimately, Chits are used in a mini game (like Wheel of Fortune), to earn higher grade parts, cash prizes and even a better car than your current season’s level cap.
There’s a parts shop, a car shop, a Tv studio(for the WoF bit) and your assembly garage.
When you complete a season, if you make it into the top 3 racers at the end, you can upgrade to the next season D -> C. That means better and faster cars, higher grade engine parts, more challenging drivers, more tracks and bigger prizes on the Wheel of Fortune spin mini game. And you keep going until you reach Ultra class, where you’re driving monstrous hypercars against the best to win the entire full season.
It is meant to be a difficult game, just like the original. Practice makes Perfect.

Do note: Top down racers are NOT big money earners, so don't expect a huge audience. We would probably be lucky to fit just Below 'Make Way' at position 15.

Me: Senior IT Manager. (BMech Eng.). + Hobby Artist (Pretty OK & particularly fast) + VB6 Coder (Strong skills). Was working on a BIG VB6 program for enjoyment. (https://nelfid.com/)

Had to stop. Looked at Godot for continuation, seriously impressed, started learning it, WOW. Decided to build a racer for shits and giggles and to learn from it. Ok, fun, easy, cool, and then decided to upgrade it with pretty graphics and decent gameplay. Game testers went nuts, I went nuts. Too much fun.
But, I’m long suffering from a sleep disorder. So re-re-re-learning Godot between medical hiatuses isn’t fun. However I can churn out art and Godot prop code no matter my condition.
I’m still a beginner at Godot, an advanced coder in VB6, I can prototype well. HOWEVER, I’m better at smashing out tracks worth of art, cars portraits, cars sprites, car cutaways and Godot track and props setup.
What I am NOT good at is the higher order setup of minimising repeat code and proper setout of node hierarchies (I haven’t learned it yet). I’m tired of bashing my head against, all the old vector math, engine math, gearing data and power curves. (I graduated that stuff at University too many years ago.)
I’m looking for someone who likes THAT, car-frictiony-enginey-handling-math. Someone who likes building car-part-shop-garage-drag-drop-thingy-interfaces. Someone who enjoys a good thrash and smash car game with a penchant for comedy and silliness. Someone who’ll also help with all the OTHER things needed to put a game on Steam and random marketing functions. Someone who knows how to handle multi-packed scenes and not build shit code.
As needed, I’ll be covering ALL the art, all the interface art, you-name-it, you just make it work. I’ll also be building and drawing all the tracks. Ideas and creation for silliness, wackiness, interesting tracks, cool props, etc, will be a duo effort for building them. If you have art skills too, great, join in.
Do note: I’m aiming at hand-drawing 50 tracks in grand total, their props and variants. This is an astronomical amount of work. I WILL get burnout, and the contingency is to ask the audience for fun and silly ideas too. This way, the track-select-bucket can be filled over time. Even after Steam’s Early Access commences. Seriously, you’ve got to go above and beyond to stand out nowadays.
Have SQLite skills? Good, because we will be using it.

Build Time:

Speculatively guessing for build time. Minimum time 3 months. Maximum time 6 months to complete.

Goal Post 1:

Schedule I'd like to do: Prep the game with a first stage demo. As per above, but with say 3 tracks, and 3 different user cars and proper NPC AI. Chuck that on Steam as a first port of call. This shouldn't take long as the shop/parts/Tv studio are not relevant here. Just racing and a simplistic track select menu. Car types can be basic hard coded engines and handling here (ie: no part swapping yet).

Goal Post 2:

Second stage demo: and with it, Early Access. Entire Season 1 Tracks ready. All stuff is here, shops, parts, Tv studio. Category 'D' racing is fully open here. The user can run through the whole 1'st stage, 10 tracks (with celebrity tracks included). However, more difficult grades C, B, A and Ultra cars, parts and other tracks are not available. This is so the users can get a 100% feeling for the game, and if they want to go to the next level (more difficult, more tracks, more parts, more cars, more excitement) they'll have the incentive to purchase the full game. Early access means we'll start dumping down new tracks and celebrity tracks as they get made so EA's can get them in the random bucket as we go along.

Goal Post 3:

Real Launch: Everything done, but tracks might not be fully complete yet (at least 50% done). Track selection is done from a diminishing pool randomly selected per each season. If short, it will select from the bucket again. At this stage the entire game should be coded in full, with the exception of new props for upcoming tracks. Which you'll be helping out with.

Marketing:

Marketing is informal at the moment, and happy to share ideas and discuss approaches accordingly. Currently I've been collecting relevant forum/group websites for those who love or may love this stuff.

Sound:

Music and sound effects assets will be from sites like Zapsplat and other affiliate style sites. (So we'll need to program in a car CD Player or Tape Deck, lol) If worthwhile to translate for other languages, we can do that as it's not a text heavy game.

Revshare:

Rev share will be pinned at 50/50 unless there is some other extenuating circumstances. Official company setup and final legals will occur immediately prior to Early Access -> pending interest level by users.
You won't be 'just' coding. Wherever we can both cover each other's backs to smash things out as fast as possible, you'll need to be flexible. Game's are not just coding and artwork.
I expect you to be proactive because I’ll have my hands full with art and technical props.

2024.06.09 09:19 ItalianQuagsire Has there been an increase in "rage bait" recently?

I've noticed on a few subs and posts, rage baits are getting pushed up in the algorithm. Whether it's asking for really silly advice like "oh I'm 16 and I want to marry", or just straight hate-mongering and singling people out to spread toxicity. Maybe it's just the way Reddit always was and I'm just more aware of it now. Or maybe I'm just misreading it. I don't know, but I definitely see an increase in it.
What made me think about it is a post on the main subreddit of a game, talking about how they asked for advice and the comments were being mean-spirited (unjustly). They made another post without censoring the names of the people who were being mean, and the comments had quite a few bad apples get to the top like literally posting their username links and assumedly forcing them to delete their comments, leading a hate-campaign against regular users. These users weren't exactly great themselves, but why the need for hate I don't understand. It's not like these posts get upvotes either, they're usually hidden because they're pretty downvoted, yet they still rise up and spark heated debate and just overall bring the place down.
My leading theory is that it generates more engagement when farming rage-clicks and comments, and that is why, but I was curious if anyone else noticed an increase in exposure for this sort of thing. It could just be me noticing it more.
