In a previous post, I asked whether I had taken an IQ test when I was younger. Well, I emailed my school district about my testing results, and they told me that I scored a 127 on the Pearson Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT). Keep in mind I tested back in 2012 or 2013, so when I was six or seven years old. Is 127 my actual IQ? Or has it changed over the years? I find it hard to believe that it's only 127, especially when I routinely outperform almost all of my gifted classmates. Sorry for the rant, I'm just a little confused.

We are trying to plan (as much as we can) for my son's schooling. He tested 97th percentile for the NNAT non verbal portion and will do the Verbal and COGAT next spring. I'm just curious if there is a correlation between scores in categories in everyone's experience or if it can heavily fluctuate.
We are going to finish my son's testing next year (when he's old enough) to see if he can test into a gifted self contained program after kindergarten. They have to score in the 90th percentile or above in all three tests to get into the program.
I ask because it's at a different school and I have no idea what I'm doing (he's my only child) and want to try as plan if I should do open enrollment next year since the program fills quickly. We are waitlisted for that schools kindergarten gifted program.

Started with a diagnostic of 150, set a goal score of 170 for the August LSAT, and today was my first time breaking into the low 170s!! I hope I can keep up the streak for the next few months and in to the test day haha

We always had a feeling he was different. He consistently hit all of his milestones way ahead of time and had all the characteristics of gifted kids. His preschool teacher suggested we have him tested for giftedness for kindergarten next year so he's in the correct programs at school. His results came back in the 97th percentile for the non verbal portion of the NNAT. I need advice on what to do for kindergarten/school in general and advice on how to prevent burnout and boredom.
He was offered a spot in the Bright beginnings program for k-1 at a school near us or the gifted cluster for the school we already enrolled him in. This program is accelerated and they have to test into it. When he goes into 2nd he can test into the renaissance program after completing the cogat and verbal tests in 1st grade (has to score in 90th percentile in all three for the program). The Ren program is self contained. They work at about a year to two above their grade but they are with kids their own age which I really like.
Important note: I'm in Arizona which is 48th in the nation for education. So I don't entirely trust our schools to do right by him; however I do live in a decent school district.
He's my only child and I have no idea what to do. I want to do right by him and make sure he has the education he needs but isn't going to burn out or be bored as hell in general education. We also have him in sports and he is very social.
He's currently doing kindergarten level reading and education at his preschool. He is able to read phonetically and is insanely good at puzzles and problem solving. He talks like a grown up. He already has perfectionists tendencies which I'm trying to help him with. He also some what struggles with other kids when it comes to rule following or their behavior. He gets frustrated at them.
About 15 of his preschool friends he's been with for 2 years are going to the school we have him enrolled in for next year this is the gifted cluster only (including his best friend). He would be the only one going to the gifted program at the other school. I am worried about him starting at the kindergarten and then moving schools for Ren (if he tests in) in 2nd grade. But also I don't want him not being with his friends since kindergarten is building a lot of social skills.
I need help figuring out what to do and need advice or resources for parenting gifted kids.

We have been looking at Test Xray, PractiTest, and Test Collab for a test management tool. We are a 100-200 employee software company.
Also, what would you all say is the most important aspect of the tool?
Visibility of your test list to product team members NOT part of QA for unit test creations of dev and other team member visibility?
Tracking the status of a release (how many more tests to run, test avg pass/fail, etc)0% (0)

It's a beautiful evening in the Mushroom Kingdom. The birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, and SMG3 seems to have successfully payed off Bowser after their previous "misunderstanding" with a heaping helping of chicken nuggets.
Over at Bricktown, SMG3 is proudly showing Hal Monitor all his legal paperwork for the Airship anchored in the Omnia Academy Parking Lot. SMG4 silently prays they don't get arrested.
SMG3: I trust everything is up to code?
Hal: Hm........
Hal carefully examines the expertly made, 110% legit looking documents SMG3 gave him as SMG4 awaits the verdict with bated breath. He hasn't been this stressed about a piece of paper since the Lawsuit. Hal looks up to the two................
Hal: Well, everything seems to be in order here. Safe travels Mr. 3!
AND WE'RE SAFE! Hal returns the documents before lawfully speeding off in his cop car. SMG4 let's out a sigh of relief and SMG3 gives an "all clear" signal to Meggy, who's been waiting on the roof eyeing the situation through the scope of her bowgun. Don't worry, she had sleep ammo loaded so it's mot like she was gonna JFK Hal Monitor if things went awry. That being said, she does notice ........ something............ sneaking into the window and goes off to investigate.
Meanwhile we see Tari, Saiko, and Whimpu in the Meme Research Club Room with SMG1 and SMG2. SMG1 is analyzing and performing tests on the Orb from the ruins, and Tari is regaling the dream she had the night prior to SMG2 who is taking notes.
Tari: The last thing I remember was trying to remove the helmet.
SMG2: Interesting.......
Clench: You think it has anything to do with the metal meatball?
SMG2: Hm....... It's possible you may have inadvertently accessed the subject's dying memory.
Tari: But how is that possible? I know I can read minds with my robot hand, but......I always thought it required a LIVING mind.
SMG1: Not with Memes, it isn't.
Tari looks over to SMG1 as he tinkers with the orb.
SMG1: Memes are in essence a shared idea. That idea could be anything, really. Objects, people, places, moments, anything that is shared from one to another. That can include memories.
Belle: So......what does all this Meme Energy rot have to do with this thing?
SMG1: The orb appears to be a device capable of harnessing Meme Energy, storing it within itself. Whimpu, you said that the gemstone you found had a core, yes?
Whimpu: Yes. At first I was wondering why a gemstone had such a strange pattern of overlapping impurities.
SMG1: That "core" is likely the source of this artifact's energy. As to what it is or where it came from, your guess is as good as mine.
Belle: Wait a minute. Those ruins could've been centuries old yet whoever built them had this Meme Power? Pretty sure they didn't have 5G during the crusades.
SMG1: Well, how do you think any ideas were first spread back then? By mouth, painting, and writing. Through art and stories. They were shared in any and every way they could be. That is how you get a culture. And it is through that culture, you'll get memes. The internet may have made it easier, but Memes were one of the first results of cultural exchange.
He places the orb on his desk.
SMG1: Even the manipulation of Meme Energy is nothing new, according to some legends. Some are obvious exaggerations..........
He picks up a massive tome and sets it on the desk.
SMG1: And some have more backing. This is a tome containing all the knowledge we have on our potential culprits.
Clench: And those would be.......... who, exactly?
SMG1 dusts off the top of the tome to reveal a series of symbols similar to Tari's.
SMG1: ..........The Metarunners.
We check in on Meggy as she sits under the window. She makes sure to go in all sneaky deaky like, not making a single sound as she enters the dark room. The coast seems to be all clear....... BOOM, she narrowly dodges a sword swinging for her neck. She tac rolls into a firing position to face her assailant.
?????: Well....... funny seeing you again, Spletzer.
Meggy recognized that voice, but it wasn't until her assailant stepped into the light that she knew who she was up against. An old face from one of her previous trips, often hidden behind a mask.
Meggy: Whisk.....
Whisk: Did you miss me, Kitty?
????: Alright, that's a wrap!
The lights come on and we see a whole room full of ninjas. Amongst them was Hank Hill, leader of the Ninja club.
Whisk: Oh........
Whisk takes off her mask, revealing her true face along with her timid demeanor.
Whisk: Um........how did I do?
Hank: Your form and technique were phenomenal, Miss Felin. You managed to maintain your cover in the Showgrounds Private Park pretty easily.........
Whisk: Oh, thank you! I made sure to practi-
Hank: HOWEVER......... You did botch your final return, seeing as you were followed through the window by Miss Spletzer over here.
Whisk: Oh, right..........I'm sorry.
Hank: You don't need to be sorry, Miss Felin. You just need to be better.
Whisk: Yes, sir.
Meggy is just.......COMPLETELY confused by the whole situation, awkwardly holstering her bowgun now that she knows she's not in any real danger.
Meggy: So..........
The two awkwardly eye each other.
Meggy: How's your mom, doing?
We later see Meggy and Whisk meeting up with Tari, Whimpu, and Belle in the courtyard during recess to catch up. Tari is currently preoccupied with reading that big tome she got from SMG1 while the rest make some small talk.
Whisk: Our money situation wasn't really that great back then. That's why I initially took the job from Cumbersnatch.
Belle: Yeah, I've been there too.
Whisk: Sorry to hear that. Student loans are a bitch to pay off.
Belle: Actually l......... well.......... nevermind.
Meggy: But why pick the Ninja Club?
Whisk: I wanted to put my skills to better use than just stealing stuff. There are other clubs I plan on joining but..........
She pauses, looking down at her mask as she takes a deep breath.
Whisk: sigh I'm not exactly a "social" person.
Their talk is interrupted by Matt, who's pleased to see his former student again.
Matt: Miss Spletzer!
Meggy: Coach Matt, it's been a while!
Whisk is both impressed and embarrassed to see just how confidently Meggy just greeted a former teacher.
Whisk: See what I mean!? Eye contact, no stuttering or hesitation, and that HANDSHAKE! They're even on a first-name basis! Every time someone even looks in my direction I just.............
She freezes up, holding her legs to her chest. And I thought Pomni was a wreck. This draws Tari out of her reading for a moment.
Tari: Y'know............ I was like that too. There was a time when the only "social" thing I could do was playing quick- matches online. But when I first met Mario - or rather, he met me - I managed to find the nerve to......actually talk with people.
Whimpu: I too had trouble making friends before joining the Anti Crew. It was stressful at first, but in the end I did end up making some good friends.
He looks over to Belle, who was actually touched after hearing Whimpu say that. Whisk unfolds from her fetal position as Meggy comes back.
Meggy: Sorry about that. We had a lot to catch up on and kinda got a bit preoccupied, hehe.
The school bell rings and we see all the students returning to their classes.
Whisk: Well........
She dawns her mask and returns to her facade
Whisk: It's been fun, but this cat's gotta scat. Later.
Meggy: Good luck, Whisk! Let's go treasure hunting sometime!
Whisk heads to her class. They couldn't see it behind the mask, but Whisk was tearfully happy to meet her "old friend" again, and even make some new ones along the way.
Back on the ship, Tari is in her bunk reading that tome again. We see Saiko arriving with a cup of tea.
Saiko: Hey.
She hands the cup to Tari.
Tari: Thanks.
Saiko: So, have you found anything new leads?
Tari: Yep, right here. Granted, its........ quite a bit to unpack.
Saiko: I'll say. You could kill a man with that thing. Make sure you get some sleep. The "captain" has another score for us tomorrow. An old smuggler's route used by a....... Swipe, I think?
Tari: Swipe......... Yeah, I heard Four talk about him once. Though, I'm pretty sure they called him..........something else.
Saiko: Whoever he was, let's hope he had better taste than Three. They both share a chuckle as Saiko crawls into her bunk.
Saiko: Oyasumi.
Tari: G'night. Hm...........barrier projection......
And all was quiet as Tari kept reading the tome.

Hola! I'm looking for a solution that can provide end-to-end QA that integrates with ClickUp, so we can generate test cases externally and push results to project lists as we need to!
We're looking at a few options - TestLodge, PractiTest and TestRail. TestRail being our preference in this case.
Has anyone had success with any specific QA software that might be worth a look at? Still in the investigation phase of this so I'm just trying to gather a few options to play back on!

On a test I took today I got a 1560. My reading score jumped 50pts by studying hard on grammar. With math and grammar being perfect, how do you guys recommend getting better at the extremely hard English questions? I have the real SAT in 2 weeks and am willing to put the work in to get that 1600.

This post will go over several points. - 1. Using an IQ test for determining giftedness/schools using only IQ tests for giftedness eligibility. - 2. The claim that IQ or cognitive tests are raw ability. - 3. Multiple pieces of evidence for gifted behaviors. - 4. Other types of giftedness that this subreddit seems to ignore.
Alright, first thing is first. I admit that at one time in this subreddit I talked about my 123test.com results. I decided that I don't care about that or the weschler. That's irrelevant.
Let's jump in to the first point. The first thing I want to talk about is using only IQ tests for determining giftedness. The idea of the (main type) of giftedness (the most common term), is an IQ over 130. Okay cool, you were able to score well on the Weschler test. That doesn't translate to having many of the other signs of intellectual giftedness just because you scored well in one test. Sure, you can argue that the Weschler has a high g and it's comprehensive, but it's like saying that because you did well on one test, that means you passed the whole class and know everything. Scoring high on an IQ test doesn't automatically mean you're gifted. Giftedness comes with many signs and an IQ test doesn't properly assess that. I would be very reluctant to personally call someone gifted based on one IQ test as a point of data. I already know many are going to say the signs are based on people that have high IQ scores, but this doesn't necessarily mean that because you score a 130+ that you have a lot of signs and traits of giftedness. These signs and traits are the main thing that causes us to excel in areas and have problems such as social isolation, not a score.
That being said, an IQ test is a useful piece of data, but it should not automatically qualify someone as gifted. If you think that one point of data means a person is gifted, that's interesting.
The same thing can be said for people that don't score high on IQ tests. There are some people that have many signs of intellectual giftedness that may not perform well for various reasons or maybe they have other signs and excel in other areas, maybe there's many points of data besides an IQ test that points them to being intellectually gifted.
For these reasons, schools that only place kids in the gifted program just based on IQ in my opinion are failing them. They may not relate to people that actually have a lot of signs of giftedness, as all they did was score high on one test. Conversely, people such as 2e or just other kids that were never identified because they scored too low.
Next point, IQ and cognitive tests are totally trainable. I was able to figure out nonverbal puzzles very quickly as well as being able to work with 7 -8 digits to 8-10 digits in working memory (although long term memory wise I know huge amounts of digits of pi and can memorize other constants numbers very quickly). Things like the CogAT (which isn't an IQ test yet Mensa and basically every schools accept it just like an IQ test) have practice books. So does the NNAT and other IQ tests they use in school. And let's be honest, all these cognitive testing reddit people that get 150s on their WAIS have practiced shit for years, grinding until they get perfect results. Do you really think so many of these people are getting 99.94th percentile (150 I believe) without some sort of practice when there's really no reason to get tested in the first place besides Mensa? No. It's reddit anyways. At most, they got 120s. Schools will usually allow your children to retake the test a year later. This is probably due to memory of the test, but regardless, some skills can be gained due to this.
I think we should have a multiple criteria for giftedness. Giftedness behaviors rating scale is very underrated and it's much better than just an IQ test. Yes, it's more subjective, but so is our subjective interpretation of IQ scores anyways. Achievement tests (can be practiced just like IQ tests!) Are important pieces of evidence and probably more so than IQ scores. Achievement tests signify an academic need for enrichment, without it, there can be massive consequences, I don't think it's fair to say IQ tests are the same way, maybe socially? But that's not as significant. Teacher observations and portfolios are also very important. I already know this post is going to be downvoted because many people just want to think their 1 WAIS or WISC score means they're gifted. Lol. Good, I don't care.
Speaking of this subreddit, why do we seem to acknowledge only intellectual giftedness (and only talking about intellectual giftedness due to 1 IQ score result?). There are people that have creative, academic, motor, and other types of giftedness. They should be welcomed here. I would hate to see posts that say they aren't gifted just because they scored a 120 but have a lot of the traits of intellectual giftedness, as well as people that have done amazing things with their giftedness in other domains. There isn't just one type of giftedness. So, I just want to say that people that are creatively or academically gifted (or intellectually gifted people that scored less than a 130) that are here, I know your struggles. It's a shame a lot of people won't accept your giftedness and you're disadvantaged by the big education system.
One more thing. I'm not saying that IQ tests are invalid or are not credible. And I'm not attacking intellectually gifted people. If you have an IQ of 130 and have struggles of gifted people, as well as some other data, you are gifted.

How would one determine the percentile of a normalized score from a test with an upper limit? As I understand it, true normal distributions have infinite range; thus, I assume that I shouldn’t use the methods I learned in my undergrad stats class to determine the precise percentiles (unless that’s the best method we have?).
For example, the highest possible score on the OLSAT is 150, and the scores are normalized with a mean of 100 and standard deviation of 16. Meanwhile, the highest possible score on the NNAT is 160, even though, like the OLSAT, its scores are normalized with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 16.
Due to the different upper limits on the tests, I assume that getting the same score on both tests would yield different percentiles (unless you score 100), especially as you get further and further away from the mean. How do you determine these percentiles? And how could you calculate the OLSAT score that is equivalent (in terms of percentiles; I know the tests don’t measure the same things) to a given NNAT score?
Any insight would be appreciated!

Hello all,
Just joined a small startup company as a QA Lead. Currently, they use Jira and primarily do manual testing. Since we are 21 CFR Part 11, we have audit requirements and need to produce traceability matrices, test suite documentation (complete with screenshots etc) for every release (we release weekly).
Right now, creating this documentation is being done manually and can take 1-2 days to create the necessary reports... very tedious and labor intensive to export screenshots and include them into test reports. The issue is that it apparently is not easy to export images from Jira via the API. From what little I have read, Jira recommends incorporating with Confluence (which we also have) -- but not sure if you can programmatically export images from Confluence and that does seem inefficient to have to go from Jira Confluence some other solution to extract the data and screenshots.
Prior to my joining, they looked at several Test Management Systems that supposedly integrated with Jira that would automated this process. They were going to go with TestRail until they discovered that TestRail has a defect that meant this functionality didn't work (the irony of QA software having this level of software defects is not lost on me!).
They did a trial on TestMo which was promising but our security guy didn't exactly get warm fuzzies in terms of their security standards. But my boss has said to give it another look.
Other tools that were considered (though not sure if they actually did a trial): Xray Zephyr Testlink PractiTest LambdaTest
Others that I ran across in my googling:
Katalon which looked interesting -- but my bosses initial feedback was "looks pricey but might be worth investigating. Parasoft suite Tricentis qTest

My childhood was interesting, to say the least. I could read at 2 and spell out all 12 months of the year using toy letters at a very young age. I was able to pronounce cafeteria and other sophisticated words at around preschool m. However, I had some deficits due to autism and always scored average on the weschler IQ test due to things like processing speed and lack of vocabulary. The problem was that I never got sufficiently tested in non verbal abilities in tests such as NNAT or TONI. I would consistently score in the 90th percentile nationally in certain subjects and 95th-98th in the state (Oklahoma), and Advanced on subjects in state tests/assessments with results that indicated that I needed a more challenging program. I had scored very high on the writing portion of the ACT. In some of my mathematics classes, I had near perfect scores without trying much at all. I felt like I didn't have to pay attention to them because it came by easy and then my grade would drop due to bad study habits as a result. I also have had extremely good typing ability since a young age (which is a psychomotor ability that I have) despite other struggles with autism (like tying shoes).
Im 19, and recently I took a test to get into the international high IQ society. Now at first glance, I was skeptical of the test. It was an online exam with only 25 questions (and obviously there's flaws to an online exam that you can pay for and that has 25 questions). However, there was a very decent amount of people that had taken the test (100,000, which is a good sample size), and it measures nonverbal abilities well through sequences, patterns, etc. and adjusts the difficulty to how well you do. The private company is run by a lot of psychologists. When you think about it, many IQ or related tests are run by private companies these days, especially ones used in the education system for gifted screening and identification, such as the CogAT (which Mensa accepts). The IHIQS admissions test scores are approximately equal to how many people attain it, unlike other tests online. Therefore, 50% of the population won't be getting like a 120 IQ or anything, only 10% that take it will. Other reddit posts have suggested the scores were actually lower than the weschler IQ scores that they had received. Anyways, back to the test. I scored a 132 on a standard deviation of 15, or approx. two standard deviations above the mean. I got offered to join the international high IQ society since I was within their scoring criteria of 95th percentile or above on the test. I declined because I didn't want to pay $250 fee for mostly Internet forums. I would have accepted if it was Mensa, which has so much more to offer, but they don't accept online tests, even if they are normed and created by psychologists. The psychiatrist that I've been working with (for other issues) has confirmed that it is a pretty valid and accurate test and indicator of my IQ. She said that I absolutely have intellectual giftedness based on my past behaviors and other test scores. She said that the weschler was inaccurate at measuring true intelligence for autistic people and nonverbal ability tests were more accurate. Although there are some criticisms of these exams that are reasonable. Such as it being trainable and easily repeatable. Regardless, I scored higher than most of the people that would have done that anyways. Some say that the test is questionable since the founder was in association of the testing company, but isn't that the same with Mensa and their admissions test? A lot of people have found ways into Mensa through exploiting the tests. It's not just the IHIQS, although it's probably worse there tbf.
Anyways, now to my problems. I feel like things such as social life have been a struggle, and it's a shame since I feel like my abilities could have been more thoroughly developed by taking GATE in elementary and middle school. I think I would have had a much more fulfilling time socially and emotionally if I had taken those classes and connected with like minded peers instead of everything being a blur since there wasn't much that happened and because I was a social loner and couldn't connect with those kids. Most of my friends as of now are in Gifted and Talented classes/education or had taken it in the past and those are the people I can relate to. I was very antisocial in college because I couldn't relate to people very much and I got lonely. Does anyone relate to my story at all? I guess I would say that I'm possibly 2e (twice exceptional). I don't just have autism, but ADHD as well.
