You are Jalen Brunson. (Cool feeling, right?) You catch the ball on the right wing and weave together some between-the-legs dribbles while you contemplate how you should score. Pound dribble to a step-back? The double-crossover-to-hesi combo to get to the paint for a classic floater?
Not this time. You call up good ole’ Isaiah Hartenstein — love that guy — for a pick, but it’s a ruse. As he approaches, you flash the quickest in-and-out in the land and reject the screen, blowing by your hapless defender like the Road Runner lapping the Coyote. Layup drills aren’t this easy.
As Knicks fall around him like so many orange, autumnal leaves, Brunson just keeps carving a path to points. He’s had five 40-burgers in 11 playoff games. There aren’t many guards in the league with as diverse a shotmaking profile. I wanted to dig deeper and figure out how he got all these buckets, particularly the ones inside the arc, where the artistry happens.
A shot chart can show you where the shots happened (sort of), but they can’t show you what kind of attempt it was. The NBA assigns a type to every shot, but the descriptions are both inconsistent and wrong too often to be useful for a micro-analysis like this. So, I hit the tape. I rewatched all of Brunson’s 244 two-point attempts from these playoffs and categorized them into several shot types (there is some discretion involved, art and science, but I tried my best to be consistent).
Here’s how he scores inside the arc, from least prolific to most. The Book of Brunson, if you will (or if you will not; that’s what I’m calling it, regardless). It starts a little slow, but I promise it gets exciting toward the end. Kind of like every single Knicks playoff game.

7) THE DUNK

1 make, 0 misses, 0 FTM, 2.00 Points Per Shot (PPS)

Brunson is listed at 73 inches tall. If you believe that, I’ve got a bridge not too far from Madison Square Garden I can sell you. He only had three dunks in 77 regular season games, but he had one threadbare yet magnificent jam in these playoffs. Here it is: [video here]
When I played 2K (back when a single digit followed the “2K” prefix, yikes), that was called the “rim-grazer” package. Barely gets over the cylinder. Still counts!

6) Cuts

2 makes, 1 miss, 1 FTM, 1.67 PPS

Here’s the thing about Brunson. Brunson makes Brunson happen. He doesn’t need passes from teammates; he needs them to set picks, space the floor, and stay out of the way. In the regular season, 23% of his two-pointers were assisted, a low number. In the playoffs, that’s fallen to 15%. And calling some of these “assists” feels generous. You tell me how much the pass here had to do with Brunson scoring: [video here]
I digress. Back to cuts. Synergy has him in the fourth percentile for the share of shots finished off of cuts; it’s not his jam. By my count, Brunson has had precisely three field goal attempts off cuts in 11 playoff games. Two went in. For what it’s worth, Hartenstein had the assist on both (and in fact, Hartenstein’s 10 total playoff assists to Brunson are more than anyone else on the roster). Here’s one: [video here]
Understandably, the Pacers were not expecting it. Neither was I, but then again, I’m not paid eight figures to stop him.

5) Transition

6 makes, 3 misses, 3 FTM, 1.67 PPS

The Knicks, famously, are the slowest team in the league, and they’ve crawled in the playoffs. Might be too tired from the heavy minutes; have to save your energy for offensive rebounds, I get it. Josh Hart carries most of the transition load.
But every once in a while, someone will poke the ball loose and toss it up to Brunson. He’ll catch it, dribble, lay it up. Most of the time, he makes it; sometimes, he misses it. If it doesn’t sound that exciting, well, it’s not.

Brunson can’t really throw it down in a highlight kind of way (except that one time when he did!). Fast-break Brunson layups are about as dull as fast-break layups can be. Let’s move on.

4) Spinning (usually) fadeaways over his (always) left shoulder

Okay, now we’re getting to the good stuff. I will lump most of Brunson’s middies together, as you’ll see shortly, but I am partial to the aesthetics of the spinning fadeaway.
I mean, look at this thing. It’s gorgeous. The footwork, the arc, everything. And always — always! — using that left shoulder as a pole to spin around: [video here]
These are difficult shots, but by my count, he’s shooting 62% on turnarounds! That’s wild. I wonder if he shouldn’t take more of these and fewer step-backs, although these are a bit harder to get off with bigger bodies on him. Brunson knows what he’s doing; I shan’t second-guess him.

3) Layups and blow-bys

29 makes, 23 misses, 19 FTM, 1.48 PPS

Layups are a massive part of Brunson’s shot diet, even if it’s harder for him to get to the rim than some of his less-normal-sized peers in the league. Shot a little better doing these against Philly with a jump-less Embiid than against Indiana, where he has gone just 14-for-29 by my count (although he’s drawn a handful of fouls, so that’s a bit misleading).

It isn’t casual, though. It’s a lot of work. I’m stressed about the impact of all this acceleration and deceleration on his joints, ligaments, and bones, and despite what the tenor of this piece may lead you to believe, I’m not even a Knicks fan.
I’m also stressed you’ll judge me by my chosen highlights, spent more time than I care to admit picking ones that will prove to you that I’m both knowledgeable and a little hipster. Brunson made Nesmith touch parquet twice in the ongoing series (which hurt me; I’m a huge Nesmith guy), but that’s a little too cool to be cool, you know what I mean? Here’s where I landed. Ah, now I’m second-guessing myself. Oh well. You know what Brunson layups look like. It’s all crazy dribble combinations and shot fakes in fits and spurts, starts and stops, that somehow end with him blurring to the hoop for a high-arcing shot off the glass.

2) Floaters

30 makes, 32 misses, 18 FTM, 1.26 PPS

The infamous Brunson floater. A cruel tool, one the Geneva Convention was specifically designed to combat. It’s unstoppable (except when it’s stopped).
Floaters are a weapon of last resort for too many point guards, the shot they puke up when they can’t get past their man. That can be true for Brunson at times, too.
But Brunson has weaponized the floater, often by using it to bait fouls. If he gets the hostage dribble on a defender, putting them on his back, you better believe he’s gonna throw the ball upward and his body backward to get the whistle (I thought they legislated that out of the game, but nobody told the refs judging Brunson). That’s not my favorite play, of course, but it’s hard to deny the effectiveness.
He launches floaters from everywhere and anywhere. Leaning left, leaning right, falling down. Contested, wide-open, in the middle of four bodies. Occasionally, Brunson reminds me of classic fight-movie scenes in which the protagonist is drowning in enemy combatants, buried so you can’t even see him, when he suddenly springs up, spraying bad guys everywhere: [video here]
People say Brunson is good at getting to his spots, as if there is a finite number. I don’t really agree. All spots are Brunson spots; the floater will come from whatever direction he chooses.

1) Step-backs, side-steps, pull-ups, and other hyphenates

31 makes, 45 misses, 12 FTM, 0.97 PPS

Even excluding the turnaround fadeaways and floaters, Brunson has shot more midrange jumpers than any other type of shot. Yeah, that’s sort of cheating; I’m lumping many different kinds of buckets into one bucket. Maybe it’s too broad to be useful. But frankly, some of these are hard to differentiate (and also, this post would be too long; if you’re still here, I appreciate you. Know that this started off being much longer in a way that benefitted no one.). You’d think it would be easy to tell a pull-up from a side-step, but I swear Brunson can combine these in ways that somehow don’t defy the laws of basketball (i.e., traveling). It’s hard, so eventually, I decided to lump them all together.
Midrange jumpers are generally looked down upon. You can see from my points-per-shot calculation how much less efficient they’ve been than everything else, but that’s the nature of the beast. Just because they don’t always go in doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate them.
Sometimes, it’s hard to manufacture even sub-optimal offense (and that’s particularly true in the playoffs). Sometimes, you gotta go out there and cook; as long as the meal’s not burnt, it’ll do. And sometimes, it’ll be g*dd*mn delicious: [video here]
In truth, many of these possessions are ticking grenades, and it’s up to our hero to jump on them. The Knicks try to run their offense, nobody else can do a dang thing off the dribble (not, mind you, that they receive many chances), and suddenly there are six seconds left on the shot clock. The midrange isn’t dead; like wealth, it has simply consolidated into the hands of the few. Only players with sufficient star wattage are allowed to take them. And with a playoff run for the ages, Brunson’s been outshining nearly everyone.

Hi guys! So a few weeks back, I was backpacking and I started experiencing red bumps and scratches on my body. I thought it might be mosquito bites but then another guy in my dorm got the same bumps, and I read a review of our hostel saying they saw signs of bed bugs there. I didn’t see any when staying there, but I really didn’t properly look.
So anyways, I travel about a week more, new bumps appear and are itchy. Then I came home and was really scared that I have taken some bed bugs with me. I have washed all clothing on 60 Celsius (or frozen for about 2 days now) put my things in plastic bags and out in the sun, or carefully looked for bed bugs before using them at home. Please tell me I should be home safe? My body is still itchy but I don’t think I have gotten any new bumps. I also read somewhere, that the bed bug bites can show up weeks later after they were made, but I don’t know if that’s true. Basically I’m scared shitless, and I want to hear from others I should be fine. Has anyone tried this? HELP?!!!

The song went to number 1 on iTunes upon release last Friday and the music video already has over 1 million views which is incredible!!

In my (personal) opinion, horror works best when it follows the following rules:

1. The more a perceived threat has a connection to reality, be it something that has happened or could happen, the more scary it is.
2. The concepts in a horror medium should make sense, and connect with each other well. Things shouldn't happen just because they are scary.
3. The less the motive of a horror antagonist makes sense, the cringier they are.

When I think of the few things Ive seen as an adult that legitimately scared me, the first thing I can think of is the classic "I feel fantastic" video. Because while that isn't the original video, someone, somewhere, thought it would be a great idea to build a scary robot woman and have her sing, and pass it off seriously, with an attempt to make her a pop star. The home this video was filmed in feels fake and very sketchy. Yet this was real. It actually happened.
But something can still be scary and not be real. Ghost stories work pretty well because environmental effects and mental issues can cause people to hallucinate and even feel weird sensations, which make us question whether ghosts are real or not. But so many ghosts in these stories feel like dumb animals who respond to humans really inconsistently. NOAA Weather alerts being used in horror have a lot of potential because they tap into a really real fear of natural and manmade disaster. But you know whats not scary? Turning sirens and weather alerts into a big dumb monster that chases you through the woods for no reason. I feel like "sirenhead" as he's called is a big misunderstanding of that fear.
A better crafted example of horror thats not very scary would be "The Backrooms", built on the fear that one could fall through reality like a glitch in a videogame and into an endless empty corporate office maze. The maze part doesn't scare me personally but it is interesting. My main issue is why are these silly generic horror monster stick men walking through these mazes? It's revealed that they are some kind of fungal creatures, but to me that goes with the maze concept like water and cooking oil. Where would fungus even GROW in a world like that? Don't get me wrong, it's a fun series, and amazing for something made by a teenager. I'm not attacking the people who made it, because my problems with it are problems that are widespread in horror.
I have a proposition for those of you who want to make a generic horror movie with some antagonist that kills people for no discernible reason. Instead, why not take a page from Junji Ito and make more body horror? Every day we surround ourselves with chemicals that are harmful to our bodies, and each generation our exposure to them makes decreases our fertility just a little bit more. Not just chemicals, but substances around us too. One of these substances is plastic. We are surrounded by so much plastic that microscopic pieces of it get in our body, and as the years go on, more and more "microplastics" are being found in human placentas. No one knows what true effect these plastics have on us, but they are a part of us, whether we like it or not.
I challenge you to write a story set in the future, showing the fictional effects these chemicals could have on the future of humanity, WITHOUT people turning into mutants/zombies. Make it feel real.

For the last several weeks I’ve been having issues we’re I go to buy a cosmetic weather it be a clothing item, ship set cosmetic, or even trinkets and it takes my hard earned gold but doesn’t give me the item… I wait abit and even though I already paid for said item it shows back up for purchase again forcing me to buy the same item twice/ example: dark adventures jacket was listed at 2.7 million in pirate legend hideout I purchased it once for 2.7 million and it wasn’t showing up in my chest so I waited abit and went back then it allowed me to purchase it again for 2.7 million so in total it cost me 5.4 million!!! Any idea why this is???????

To sum it up in an outline: - Paid $400 to be a food vendor - They waited DAY OF to implement their “inclement of weather plan” (due to a thunderstorm) -did not put any of us inside - put us near metal bars while lightning was striking down - Kind artist vendors from inside told us there was enough room for us inside & felt bad for all of us - some coordinator guy kept yelling at us and this other poor food vendor who could barely speak English to move our cars around even though no one was showing up - all of our products got soaked - as we were taking down (because who serves contaminated food with rain water to guests & kids?) the same guy came to yell at us “well I can’t force y’all to leave” while a thunderstorm is literally pouring down at us & telling guests come outside (during a thunderstorm?) - City Health Department contacted me saying it was a health hazard
To sum it up: don’t be a vendor a Nishi Fest they will just take your money and run & won’t accommodate you if the weather is bad
Update: Sorry if I posted this after a month I was fighting the charge with them and they ultimately sided with them :/ even they are the ones who planned our placement & put us under these horrible conditions, wish I could go back to stop myself from even joining this event. I also wished I could of taken pictures of what happened (that’s on me) but it was hard when a thunderstorm is pouring down on you & have someone yelling at you at the same time, while scrambling to pack your items as fast as possible :( I wish to remain anonymous as I fear they are still trying to use everything they find against me, I’m just a small business sharing my experience with them & don’t wish this to happen to anyone else. I just hope Nishi Fest gets better management in the future, and create a safe place for vendors.

Okay, so bear with me as I try to explain the situation. With the Zwift price increases and the nice spring weather, I was looking for an alternative for the few days that I will be riding indoors. I had the idea of doing virtual rides inside across the US, maybe eventually doing a virtual ride in each state or even in every country, eventually or over the winter. I told a friend about it and he was like "That's a great idea" and he did a virtual ride using his Garmin head unit attached to a Kickr Core and his Strava post showed the map of his virtual ride and had "Virtual" in the upper corner. I did a ride with my Roam V2 and Kickr V5 and my ride only shows a powespeed/Hcadence timeline. Is this a limitation of the Wahoo head units? Or did I do something wrong when setting up my ride?

Breakups can be very challenging and it's important to take care of yourself during this time. Here are some suggestions that actually helped me to cope with my breakup:

1. Six months to one year of suffering is inevitable in a serious relationship. You can't escape it; accept it as a fresh wound that ought to heal slowly.
2. Click your photograph when you are most depressed, make a physical copy, look at it, and promise to your sad face on it that one day you will make it proud and happy; it's a promise. Time from time, get that photo out of the closet and realize how far you have moved from that day.
3. Make God your friend; become more religious and spiritual now. Do pure selfless bhakti. Seek love and support from God, chant mantras, sing bhajans, visit temples, leave your stress on God, commit to helping his children, and do good deeds. It's a lifelong friendship with no risk of breakups or parting.
4. The moment their thoughts strike you, don't let them multiply, strike them with seld talk. “c’mon, no more of this person.” “c’mon focus on your life now.” “I will live without them, I will win this challenge, my life is not a doormat.” Or Chant mantra and give God utter importance.
5. Have immense value for this life story of years and years you are blessed with. It's not just a love story, but a family saga, tale of struggles, travel series, success story, rising from the ashes motivation. You are too big to be restricted to one person.
6. You need one long outstation trip to realize your life. Solo trip to the Himalayas, go to a divine place like Kedarnath, or wander in the hill villages, cheap stays, warm food, and great weather. If possible, take some friends along. Don't visit as a traveler; live there, and manage your food, shelter, and other needs. One week is enough. This cliche advice works well for all types of traumas and losses. It moves you away from the immediate thought cycle.
7. Think about what you aren't missing, and makes you relieved. What made your life toxic, the reasons for conflicts and inconvenience, the reason for the breakup? Realize that you are free of that burden now that you accepted as a major compromise.
8. Practice as much self-love as you can. Breakups and deaths help you realize your existence beyond people and commit to relying on yourself for life. If you are alive without them, you can also be happy and satisfied. The truth has already unfolded itself.
9. Don't hold your emotions; get them out in all possible ways on a daily basis. Tell your pain to the closest of people and take a promise that they won't feel bored of you; tell them you need them.the most now. Write your emotions in a journal or on social media. Use gym, dance, athletics, or sports as a source of energy release and expression; they work well.
10. Do more physical work, make your bed, clean your room and cupboard, paint your room or change settings, buy groceries for home, walk to the market, cook for yourself and family, go on an evening walk with your parents, clean your vehicle, also grow plants and water them daily. Make sure you aren't left with free time.
11. Don't expect them to return. Don't show them how weak you are, and don't hope against hope; they are done with you, dead for you; your tears would give them peace that it was mostly your loss.

My issue with the game's lore (which is pretty much anything goes and I respect the heck out of that) is that the Black Wings... suck, and the Resistance had some pretty crazy pulls for additions. Along with the regular resistance members, they also got Xenon and the Demon SlayeAvenger (functionally their own personal Hero character, who was the same level as the heroes, cursed in the same way, performed better than Aran and Mercedes in the actual fighting and did it solo).
Therefore, the Black Wings need to be presented as an equally viable threat. I think the Black Wings robots and Lotus are given pretty solid focus as threats, but the main Black Wings members, the ones controlling Edelstein and keeping the Cygnus Knights in check are... children and rabbits. I mean, the Cygnus Knights as a group are not as stacked as the Resistance, but I'm under the impression that their gaps in living legends are made up for in more manpower, at least in lore- I think they have a flying fleet, they're able to easily travel and have good relationships with the various explorers and the heroes. Cygnus Knights themselves may not be an absolute powerhouse in the story, but I think they're pretty plugged in, in terms of connections, and they're one of three factions that in lore has more than a small section of members that can fight the black mage.
There's an opportunity to show real diversity in regions too. When the area's "darkness meter" or whatever it is goes off the chart, a random evil explorer shows up. I think this is a wasted opportunity. You can display what threat is in place in a region with what threat pops up.
In the Maple World, for example, it could be a member of the Black Wings, popping up to cause a problem. It can cycle between a few little minibosses, but the point here is to make them a visible presence.
In Grandis, it could be one of the underlings of one of Darmoor's followers. I get that the followers are more built up as bosses but like... they have side guys, and they can extract memories and remove death as if it was a debuff, so it's probably fine to toss in some jobbers that followed along with these fellows. No one super important, but like... random resurrected brainwashed husks or something.
In earth or faraway dimensions, the Friendstory Motes could come back as bigger, scarier threats.
I donno... let me feel the threat. The Big Bang update made me feel like the Black Mage was a stand up guy for not making me have to do the L Forest jumping puzzle if I couldn't afford the taxi, and there wasn't really anything to persuade me that he wasn't chill.

Heya-new here, but been out as pan for several years (& just didn't know the term before that).
This is long. If someone baring their life for context to their question is not for you, feel free to skip to the end(ish), or skip it altogether. For those of you who stick around, I appreciate your forbearance, as well as your help/advice/support/whathaveyou.
With how things are generally running in the world these days, I have no idea how to meet & connect w/people, let alone start dating, but I feel like that's where I'm headed. I'm also trying to continue to make friends & build a more comprehensive & cohesive chosen family.
To say I feel stymied is an understatement.
I've been told by friends who no longer live here, as well as a few transplants from other places, that living in Seattle doesn't exactly help. The feedback I've had from most of these people is that the social scene here, regardless of the group &/or their focus-be it music, gardening, gaming, or anything else-is pretty much surface-fake & very toxic.
Having lived nowhere else, I have no real/other perspective with this, but the sentiments regarding all of it are both clear and consistent. Frankly, some of the things they've described as "normal" frienships/interactions elsewhere sound both completely foreign to me/my experience, & absolutely lovely. These people span not only this country, but a few are on different continents altogether-which makes that consistency significant.
I realize there's no such thing as a fantasy-perfect place, & that wherever you go, there you are is definitely true, but the social culture out here is pretty damn difficult.
To be honest, I'm not really all that surprised by these evaluations. I've considered moving for various reasons, but I'd be lying if I said this wasn't one of them.
However, for me, that's not as straightforward as it might be for most people.
For starters, I'm disabled & immunocompromised, which, as you might (correctly) excpect, complicates everything in my life. Ableism is also a constant challenge, & that absolutely includes social interactions.
I am also neurodivergent, which I say with pride, but can also cause issues with the wrong neurotypical people. I've experienced this in all aspects of my life, including a few disasterous relationships (or "learning experiences", ha ha, no).

Here's my (recentish) story:
My spouse left me in 2012, essentially because I became disabled during the relationship (very, very common, unfortunately).
Like many, I became very isolated while I was learning how to live w/my disability. When my marriage (suddenly, unexpectedly, & without a sandgrain of warning) abruptly ended I was alone in a boat in the middle of an empty sea.
Disabled people do not have marriage equality (yep, really.), so we were married in name only-legal marriage wasn't an option. At all. What that meant for me in practical terms (not to mention with regards to my survival) was that I had zero legal recourse for financial help-or anything else, for that matter.
It did not help that my family shocked me with their complete lack of support (devestating & baffling), & I was looking at the reality of needing to shop around for the least awful shelter, because I was for sure going to become unhoused.
My now ex stepped in, said they wouldn't be the one to make me unhoused, & said they would continue to live w/me until I found stable housing I could afford. I had no one to go to & nowhere else to go, so while my ex is trash in most other ways, I am very grateful to them for doing so, if not for much else.
Finding available housing I could afford took 3½ years.
(SSDI is incredibly fucked, & if you have no idea what I'm talking about, please educate yourself. The creator 'crutches & spice' is a great place to start, but please-people need to know how bad it really is, & recognise that even you could become disabled-today even! But I digress in a way only an audhd person can).
3½ years of living in nearly complete isolation, while also having to watch my ex go on w/their life (including dating & new relationships) was traumatic & incredibly painful. When I finally moved into my own place & was finally living alone, I was fully aware I had a lot to work through, work on, & figure out. Dating would have been the worst decision I could have made, & I knew it.
I spent a good chunk of time figuring my shit out, realizing I was nonbinary (really, just another term I had not yet encountered) & mostly focusing on building friendships (especially building my chosen family) .
I have not dated/hooked up/whatever since. This was completely by my own choice, & I stand by that decision as being the healthiest & most loving thing I have done for myself in a long time-maybe ever. I love living alone, & for the most part have learned to enjoy being solitary, experiencing no more loneliness than the average person seems to encounter along the way.
This has been somewhat compromised of late, as I had to euthanize my emotional support animal just under a year ago, followed by going low-contact with my parents shortly after. However, I have also worked very, very hard with my therapist regarding this, & we both agree I've made significant progress. In other words, I'm pretty certain at this point that I'm not trying to find someone to compensate for those losses.
I decided I was ready to do the scary thing & at least start dipping my toes (or maybe my foot...up to the knee?) into the dating pool, & began to feel that out...in late 2019.
Well, it doesn't take much of anything to know what came next: c19 hit & I was back to just staying home all the time (something I already had a lot of experience with, obviously, so during lockdown, much comfort & advice was given to those who did not-lucky bastards).
Since folks have now decided the pandemic is over (don't even get me started on that, except to say that most people see my safety needs as a huge inconvenience), I've gone back to attempting in-person interactions.
For example, I joined an lgbtqia+ (& allies) choir, & participte with a nonprofit that focuses on trauma-based teaching, providing free art classes to a highly varied student body.
But while I have made a (very) few friends along the way, dating seems to have been shoved off the table (again).
I had to leave the choir about a year ago (mainly for issues regarding their c19 policy changes that completely disregarded the several immunocompromised members of the choir-one of whom is now permanently disabled w/long covid-& the shitty way the choir leadership responded to those of us who voiced concerns/dissent).
The nonprofit is cool, but given the general population they serve, not exactly a mecca of dating options. Even friendships must be considered very carefully & evaluated often, though I very much believe in the value of the work they do, & have met some really lovely people.
I'm in an odd place of integration (ie letting shit settle), so I'm not even sure I want a relationship (yeah, yeah, I know-do not name the cup from which you will not drink). A friends-with-benfits type situation would be welcome, however, & I'm not opposed to being part of a polycule, either.
So I'm back to square one, and apps seem as good an idea as any...save for the horror stories I hear from others, especially people who are afab (like me).
If I had a name tag & was asked to label myself, "Disabled, nonbinary (afab), neurodivergent, immunocompromised, pansexual person" probably wouldn't fit.
I checked out a post in one of the bisexual-focused reddit groups, regarding dating apps (& experiences therein), but much of the discussion didn't fully apply (or apply at all) to pansexual-identifying people. That wasn't a huge surprise, of course, but it was frustrating & and disappointing, for sure.
If you've made it this far, you get a Big Gold Star Thank You (!) & a request for thoughts, advice, suggestions, stories (I could use some funny &/or encouraging ones, to be honest), & any other relevant comments, especially with regards to dating apps. Even though I feel age is generally & often irrelevant, I suppose I should mention I turned 48 this last January.
I'm open to in-person interaction, but if it's indoors, I have to mask up, & prefer masked events at venues with decent air circulation. This winter, I missed several shows because I knew they'd be packed with unmasked people in a small space with abominable ventilation & air circulation. It sucks.
Online interaction is absolutely welcome, as it's the most likely to be accessible to me. Plus, with the summer weather already kicking in (thanks climate change!), the possibilities for &/or opportunities to actually meet in person are greatly increased.
*Please be kind (yeah, I know that's a tall order for the internet, but honestly, so far all y'all seem like pretty decent people).
I'm not generally very good at asking for help, & always worry that my story will just be seen as a sob story (or incredibly boring). This post is part of my efforts to put all the work I've done in being accountable, taking real actions, & continuing to grow past that into practice. Scary as hell, but here we are.

Yesterday, I received a vast amount of messages from various people asking me what is my trading strategy, how they can stop their losses and most importantly obtain profits.
When I started trading meme coins, I was fixated on the front page of dexscreener, consistently waiting for dips that never came or missed dips because of time zone differences. I was impulsive, made losses constantly, never made any significant profits, so I always at the verge of giving up like many have on here.
Majority of the people here suggest trading meme coins when they launch or at high velocity, I am completely against that, you are not in control of the trade, the probability of you making a loss is significantly higher than making any ample profits. You as a trader want to be in control of your trade, not to be controlled by others impulsiveness and emotions, because that what happens when you trade by following the crowd.
My method is simple, firstly check what is trending on dexscreener, cat and dog stuff? The common narrative this week was GameStop and AMC right?
Then once you gauge what is trending, go to the filters, set market cap below 50k, time can be set in 2 different filters; one above 24 hours and the other below 24 hours. Then you look for trading signals, and increasing volume, you read the charts seeing the same pattern happening, nice. If not move on and consistently search.
Obviously right now I am protecting my method, if you want an excellent guide of me explaining all the filters I set, where I buy and sell, a live tutorial of me entering a trade showing you me taking profits with my method. Hi everyone Hope everyone's out there feeling a little bit less inflamed.
Onto the story. Just turned 31, living in a rural town with temps around 10 degrees Celsius as it's winter. But I do work in a refrigerated warehouse 4 days a week. It's around 4 degrees Celsius at all times. I mention all this since many people state temperatures and weather to be a big trigger for them.
Last 6 months or so I started to really notice a change in my skin. I felt it looked overly textured and like there was a thousand pimples about to come up but didn't and then depending on the light, it would sometimes appear less bumpy. Red patches mostly to the left and right below my mouth, cheeks and other random spots. Then the tiny white heads started to show around my chin, cheeks and end of nose. They would just randomly appear and disappear. There's no itching or burning at all. But I have and had always flushed in the face easily. Super pale with red hair so naturally I'm a red faced lady. I've asked my partner a thousand times if sees what I'm referring to and he always says no. But he's colourblind soo.. Maybe he isn't the best judge.
Moving on from all that I've started to really fixate on it and feel there is an issue a foot. I feel like my skin is inflamed somewhat. I've changed skincare and also taken skincare products out and nothing has really helped.
Visited my gp two days ago and showed images of my skin (phone consult) . She said it's rosacea and a script for ivermectin was administered. The thing is I'm reticent to try it since there's no itching or burning and from what I've read on here, that tends to be the signs of the demodex rosacea. Has anyone used soolantra without experiencing the sensations I mentioned and had a positive outcome? Should I try and wait to see a derm for a better informed diagnosis?

James Wiseman - Had maybe one good stretch where he was affective over five games, but struggled the majority of the season. Decent shot blocker and had a good enough motor, but still lacks a ton of court feel and often doesnt know where to be. He has a team option on his rookie contract and the team should not be looking at bringing him back under any circumstances.
Troy Brown - Doesn't do much to impact the game on either end and was pretty much invisible during his stint in the rotation. His contact ends this season and they should look to upgrade.
Malachi Flynn - Didn't show the ability to get his teammates open consistently and was particularity bad as a lead guard in the Pick & Roll. Despite the 50 point game, he struggled at pretty much every other moment while he was in the rotation. If they do think about bringing him back, it should be on the minimum for one year and they should still look at getting a true back up point guard to help ease the turnover issue the team has.
Evan Fournier - Has a team option contact worth 19 million that should be declined. Not particularly special or consistent in any one area, but had his occasional moments as a shooter. If he is brought back it should be on a drastically reduced contract, otherwise they should allow him to walk.
Chimezie Metu - Had his moments, but I question what his actual position is. Not big enough to play C and not consistent enough of a shooter or quick enough laterally on defense to play on the wings. Wouldn't be mad if they brought him back, but I feel like they should attempt to find his replacement.
Taj Gibson - Past his prime, didn't really play a ton. I don't have much else to say about him.
Quentin Grimes - One of our only decent trade assets outside of our young core and he could get us at least a decent vet role player if combined with some future 2nd rounders. Wouldn't be mad at all if he's on the roster next season, despite the fact that he struggled during his short stint with us. Could fit very well next to Cade, Ausar, and Ivey and provide versatility to our bench.
Jared Rhoden - Two-way guy didn't play alot, but wasn't affective when he was on the floor.
Buddy Boehim - Two-way guy, who I struggle to see ever making the jump to the league. Little athletism and a target on defense.
Tosan Evbuomwan - Two-way guy with good effort and motor, but he's not particularly affective at the moment. Wouldn't be mad at them giving him one more year on a two way contract.
Monty Williams - Consistently went away from lineups and plays that were affective in favor of playing his guys (Killian, Livers, Flynn). Didn't get handed the greatest hand obviously, but would frequently disrupt any flow our guys had in favor of 5 man substitutions, that would see 15 point leads gone in the span of a few minutes, and our good lineup faced with a near 10+ point deficit once subbed back in. Also didn't adjust his game plan nearly enough.

Isaiah Hartenstein - Really good defender who knows when to negate the roller and when to step up to cut off the ball handler, which is great for a young team who has its lapses in the pick & roll. Would provide a great starting option while Duren continues to develop off of the bench. Also a pretty good finisher and connective playmaker for his size. Could front load his contact and provide a significant pay raise to lure him to the team. I like him just a little more than Nic Claxton (who I believe will be resigned by the nets) because of his strength, but would be fine with either. Also would be willing to pay him more than stated seeing as New York can't offer anywhere near as much money as we can.
Gary Trent Jr - Prolific Floor Spacer. Not the greatest defender or playmaker, but shouldn't be as big of an issue next to Cade and Ausar. We will have to overpay for him though, seeing as Toronto has the money to keep him.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - AN ACTUAL THREE & D guard next to Cade which is what this team desperately needs until Ivey is ready to play that role consistently if he ever is. Not a lockdown defender, but has a very good defensive iq and knows where to be in order to be a good team defender next to Ausar. Would obviously be a good floor spacer. Could also front load his contract to attract him to the team seeing as he's in the same situation with Denver as Hartenstein is with New York.
Monte Morris - Should not have been traded in the first place. Good playmaking option of the bench who also had one of the better AST/TO ratios in the league. Would help to cut down on TO's for a team that often lost games soley because of them.
Simeone Fonteccio (Resign) - Played very well next to the young core and was very affective from the moment he got to the team. Was practically a way better defending / slightly worse finishing Bojan. Cade played his best basketball next to him.
Mike Muscala - Good floor spacing big.
Cedi Osman - Decent wing depth vet

I (22f) have a twin sister (non identical). We both live at home, I'm pursuing a bachelor in science and she's working. She recently bought her first house with her boyfriend and will be moving out soon, which honestly I am SO happy about.
She treats our dad like a personal assistent. She expects him to drive her places, thinks she's entitled to his car whenever she needs it, makes him clean up her mess, and worst of all - made him pitch in for her house. Houses are expensive, so I get that you'd ask your parents if they could help when they're better off than you are, but it's the way she just thought this was evident. She literally picked a house over budget, before asking him if he'd support her financially, and expected him to just pay the difference. She never helps with any householding either, and when asked to gets offended. Our parents go on vacation every once in a while, and it leaves me with all the household work. I asked her to do the dishes ONCE in an entire week, and she complained to my parents that I made her do all the work. Meanwhile, I cleaned the entire house, the bathrooms, watered the garden, cooked, did laundry, did the dishes on all the other days, fed the cat, cleaned the litterbox, took out the trash... and I have exams in a week.
And she is. so. hotdamn. boring.
Despite being twins, we have nothing in common. She has not a single interesting hobby, or even remotely unique interest. It's like if you asked AI to create the most basic human being in the world. She won't eat anything besides potatoes, meat and some veggies. She doesn't listen to any music besides the latest pop hits. She only watches the most crappy tv shows. And on top of all of it, she is just plain stupid. You can not have a conversation with her about anything more complicated than the weather. This is no exaggeration, we literally only talk about the weather. I've tried art, music, movies, literature, philosophy, science, politics, memes... She has no opinions on anything. She does not understand jokes of any kind, and has never said anything funny in her life. I don't even hate her or dislike her for it, it just baffles me. It's like living with a cardboard cutout.

Just as Kali Yuga tests individuals with challenges to their spiritual resolve amidst the prevailing degeneration of values, Purva Bhadrapada is a cosmic stage where one's truest nature is tested through the weakening separation of the spiritual and the material. Here, individuals are made to confront their deepest fears and desires, burdened with the challenge of facing their true nature and purifying their souls. Padas
(mostly for Moon) They all tend to be skinny to middle weight until they get older, where they either become more muscular or plump/curvy.
1st – The first pada of Purva Bhadrapada, falling in the Aries Navamsa, signifies a stage of primal energy and raw ambition. With Mars as their guiding force, they exhibit a relentless drive to achieve their goals, refusing to be deterred by obstacles or setbacks. However, being the initial pada of the nakshatra just leaving the stage of Shatabhisha, this quarter is the least spiritually developed. While they may possess great worldly ambition and the capacity for success, they may also be prone to ego-driven actions and an overly narrow focus on material pursuits. They can get into occultism or spirituality, but it is usually an attempt to further themselves in the material realm. Natives born under this pada possess a combative nature, always ready to engage in confrontations to defend their beliefs or assert their dominance. They tend to be more mentally aggressive than physically, but nonetheless their volatile temperament can lead to physical disputes as well when they are provoked enough. They know they can be very damaging when they lose control, so they will do everything in their power to prevent escalation. Ironically, this can make them seem passive. They typically exhibit anxious tendencies while attempting to conceal or downplay their feelings of worry. Natives of this pada are extremely passionate, but they have a tendency to constantly compare themselves to others, which ultimately can lead them to disregard their efforts to focus on surpassing someone else's. This represents the height of the nakshatra's power to manifest, it can come to be either an uplifting force for individuals and humanity as a whole, or as a potentially dangerous influence. Those born under this pada are deeply engaged in their own spiritual pursuits, usually guided by a sense of purpose and higher calling. They possess an innate magnetism and power that exerts influence over others and the world around them. Despite the intensity of their spiritual journey, individuals of this pada tend to enjoy good longevity and robust health, thanks to their deep connection with the cosmic energies. They are often perceived charismatic individuals, drawing others to them with their presence. However, their innate power comes with a responsibility to wield it wisely, as they hold the potential to bring about significant positive change or destruction, depending on how they choose to channel it.
Caste
Purva Bhadrapada belongs to the Brahmin or priestly/scholarly caste. This classification is based on the inherent qualities and tendencies of individuals born under this nakshatra, rather than their family lineage, as seen in contemporary caste systems. Overall, Brahmins are portrayed as paragons of virtue, wisdom, and enlightenment, embodying the highest ideals of human excellence and divine knowledge as described in classical texts, acting as oases of wisdom by guiding society not only in matters of spirituality but also in areas such as literature, philosophy, and science. Their primary occupations are mostly associated with administration of all sectors of society, teaching, healing, and providing spiritual guidance. Its intersection with Aquarius Rashi on the ecliptic plane may also relate it to Kshatriya and Shudra.
Gunas
The nakshatras each represent the different gunas at different levels of functioning. For this asterism, it might be confusing to find out that, despite all of its negative connotations, it is associated primarily with Sattva or purity/balance. This mainly stems from this Nakshatra's capacity for penance, spiritualism, and generosity. Overall, Purva Bhadrapada is associated with two levels of Sattva and one of Rajas. Sattva prevails at the physical and mental levels, while Rajas predominates at the spiritual level. At the physical level, individuals born under Purva Bhadrapada exhibit qualities of purity, harmony, and balance. They are often composed, grounded, and possess a sense of stability in their physical endeavors. Additionally, the intense drive associated with Rajas may result in overexertion, burnout, and a disregard for self-care. It can lead to an inflated ego, arrogance, and a tendency towards manipulative or self-serving behavior. Therefore, while Rajas can propel individuals towards spiritual evolution, it also poses challenges that need to be navigated with mindfulness and self-awareness. Together with the heavy influence of Sattva, Rajas in this nakshatra creates a spiritual restlessness that works to propel these natives to actively engage in spiritual practices, seeking to transcend worldly limitations and attain spiritual liberation. It comes with risk, but this is a necessary trial.
Gana
Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra falls under the category of Manushya Gana, or "human/mixed species." While some may lean towards acts of kindness and generosity, others may display tendencies that are less altruistic. This blend of qualities makes them a complex combination qualities you might see for the Deva and Rakshasa Ganas. Keep in mind that you should look at the dominant Gana in your chart to gain a better understanding of how this may apply to you.
