I'm looking for an old children's educational book that featured illustrations of different habitats and the wildlife in them, and it was one of those books where you had an illustration surrounded by a border featuring the names of the different animals (I believe these were supposed to be along the lines of how many could you count as well). The cover featured the book's page on the Amazon rainforest; I also remember pages about the African savannah, the Antarctic, the Himalayas, the Australian outback and the Mesozoic featuring dinosaurs from different eras coexisting with each other.
I just remembered about this book last night and I believe this was my introduction to zoology as a young preschooler or at least it introduced me to the concept of habitats.

Preface: 

For the past four hours, I’ve searched for this game to the point where it has made me physically sick. This marks the third session I’ve had searching for this game and not finding it. But this time, I discovered this subreddit. And, after going through others' requests and still no dice. I decided to make my own post. Here’s the problem: There’s a possibility this game does not exist; that I’ve compiled two games into one. I only have three mental images of this game, and they all take place before I was six or seven years old. I was born in 2005 and I remember playing this at libraries and at my daycare. I have already submitted a request to my local library on the search, but throwing out multiple lines. Here’s the template with the information filled into the best of my ability: Platform(s): Windows Computer - 95% Confident.

Installed on computers meant for young children. Like, you’d turn on the computer and you’d be in the game world, there was no desktop screen. I don’t believe these computers with these games were meant for anything else but for young children to play on, like a kid-mode to make sure we didn’t access the Internet.

Towards the end of season 26, I made posts about my disappointment with the season. I was told that my take was a bad one and my opinion was both biased and nostalgic. This bothered me because I first began watching South Park just around 2 years ago, so nostalgia could not have played a role. But, I told myself that perhaps my view was skewed and a re-watch would be necessary to truly know how season 26 holds up. Quickly, I realized that I wanted to make a tier list of the seasons. Then, I ended up making a tier list of all of the episodes, specials, and the movie as well.
My ratings are roughly based on how often I laugh (consistency), and how hard I laugh. As my tier list compares South Park episodes to one another, I would like to point out that even D-tier episodes have funny moments and that I do not necessarily dislike these episodes. However, F-tier episodes did not make me laugh at all and are episodes I would have no problem avoiding on any future re-watches.
Instead of ordinally ranking all of the episodes, as there are too many where I cannot select one over another, making a tier list seemed to be the best format to rate them. However, my season tier list is still organized from best to worst season (left to right). One last thing is that I did not watch it in order to prevent myself from potentially rating later episodes lower in case I got some sort of South Park fatigue. So, without further ado:

There will be many disagreements with my list, but I think I can say that season 26 was the least funny and the worst season, with season 22 clutching it by its coat tails. My favorite special is the Pandemic Special, which is great, and the Vaccination Special is the worst thing to ever come from South Park (I actually do not believe that Matt and Trey wrote this special or had much to do with it at all). I was also surprised to find myself putting season 25 in the C-tier, and thought season 21 was much better than I recalled it was.
I looked at some other South Park tier lists as I got close to the end of my re-watch, and am shocked to find season 9 rated as low as it commonly seems to be, as I think season 9 is the best overall season of South Park with the fewest weak episodes and so many fantastic ones. Also, season 11 is probably another one many disagree with, but I think it has a couple of really bad episodes and Imaginationland episodes are very overrated. Seasons 6 through 9 are what I consider to be the "Golden Age of South Park."
It is absolutely incredible how many marvelous episodes there are, and how consistently funny South Park has been. South Park is the greatest SHOW ever made (although Arrested Development is right behind it and has almost zero bad episodes, if any at all).
If anybody thinks I need to reconsider some episodes, I will gladly give it another chance and potentially revise this list. These rankings, more than anything, are a guide for my own prospective re-watching of South Park. But I am still excited to share this with the community and hopefully have quality discourse!

First, a huge thank you to this group for bringing quiet time back to my house. I was losing my mind when my 3.5 y/o stopped napping, and giving him the Yoto exclusively for quiet time has been amazing.
One tiny drawback: we got the Ladybird science set for him and we're now navigating some tricky conversations. He LOVES these cards, and they sometimes address heavy global issues. Today, he said (direct quote because he's repeating content from the show), "Orangutans are going extinct because really bad people are cutting down the rainforest and destroying their habitats to make palm oil."
Several questions here: - Would you set the cards aside until he's older? This feels intense for a kid his age, but he had basically memorized the cards before we realized how deep they go. (Yes, I know we should have listened to them first.)

• Can anyone recommend a similarly engaging Yoto set that's a little less heavy?

I remember back in the early 2010s when I was in preschool or any we used to play on older iMac's with multiple games on them and one particular game that stuck out to me was an educational game with a toucan coming out of tropical leaves. Hi there! I'm a preschool teacher and have been running a series with my students called Animals Around the World. Each week I pick a different place and we look at about 6 of the animals that live there. Looking for suggestions of places I may not have covered or specific regions with extra interesting animals. Hoping to come up with 11 all new themes for this fall since I'll be working with the same group of students still. Really working on stoking curiosity and appreciation of nature in these young minds! Thanks!

It is often said that Nightwings are widely regarded to have some of the most edgy names around due to their arrogance. The following conversation between Nightwing dragonets suggests that this standard is changing, but not necessarily for the better...
A Nightwing dragonet sauntered up to another dragonet at the preschool, his snout in the air. He already had appropriate the traditional Nightwing look of superiority and was considered a prodigy by his parents. "Hello, I am Bloodblood."
"Pffft, what's that supposed to mean?" The other Nightwing dragonet giggled as she sat down her toy.
"It's supposed to represent how my blood is made of blood." Bloodblood flexed, wondering if any of his veins were popping out like he'd seen bodybuilders do.
The other dragonet raised an eyebrow ridge. Was he serious? "And in what way does that prove Nightwing superiority?"
"Well, I've heard that the blood of other tribes is made of different things," Bloodblood hesitated, "But only Nightwing blood is made of blood. Besides, what name do you have?" He sneered.
His archrival finally smiled and said in the most patronizing accent she could put on. "I'm Edgedge."
Bloodblood snorted. "And what's that supposed to mean?"
Edgedge grimaced at the response. "It means that out of all the Edges in the Nightwing tribe, I'm the edgiest." She gestured with her talons. "Absolutely the edgiest. Full stop. Maximum."
Bloodblood looked at the toy Edgedge had been playing with. If she wanted to be the edgiest in the entire tribe, she had a lot of work to do.
He was about to open his mouth to say a cynical remark his mother often told him when a third voice interrupted. "That can't be."
"Pardon?!" Edgedge looked around, seeing who she could practice her condescending to.
A bigger Nightwing dragonet wandered up to them, maybe a year older. "My name is Edgelord. I'm the lord of edges. Or at least that's what my dad says. He said he named me after bumping his talons into the edges of tables all day while carrying me around..."
Bloodblood fretted. Were parents as simple as that when it came to naming? He shook his head. No, he was the bloodiest of all who had Nightwing blood. "Whatever," He scoffed. "All any of you care about is edges. Only I have genuine acknowledgement from the tribe that I will be the bloodiest of all with blood."
"So the entire tribe knows you?" Edgedge smirked.
"Ah, well," Bloodblood said, "It's, it's a process. I'm only two years old, of course." He stuck his snout up in the air, "But when I'm all grown up, I'll be the bloodiest of all who have blood!"
A Nightwing dragonet was watching on and started laughing as the scene unfolded. "What kinda names do y'all have? At least they're not as pathetic as mine."
Out of the three, Edgelord was hurt the least. He didn't particularly care for the name nor did he care about fulfilling it. "What's yours, mate?"
The fourth dragonet paused his laughing, then blushed, embarrassed. "Swordsword."
Edgedge guffawed as she got to her talons. "Okay, I'm done with this. I'm gonna go get a mouse to eat or something. At least this rainforest's got lots of food." Edgedge walked away and Bloodblood looked at the other two dragonets.
"Yes, well," He had adopted the supercilious attitude that he was getting rather good at. "I must go and... look for blood to add to my blood." He briefly nodded his head, acknowledging them goodbye, and left.
Edgelord wandered over to where Swordsword was sitting. "So... what's your story? My dad named me Edgelord because he kept bumping into the edges of furniture when carrying me around."
Swordsword hesitated. Could he really tell Edgelord? "My parents..." Edgelord's face was either that of patience or indifference. Swordsword decided to pretend it was the former.
"My parents really love swords. Their entire bedroom's covered in it. I even hear the sounds of clanking at night. They must be doing sword fights! I wish I could be with them."
Edgelord patted Swordsword's shoulder. "You'll understand when you're older."
Swordsword tilted his head. "What do you mean?"
"I don't know." Edgelord responded. It's something my parents say. Wanna get some food?"
Swordsword nodded. "I hope they have dagger lessons somewhere. I want to live up to my name."
Edgelord snorted as they got to their talons and started walking. "Meanwhile, all I just wanna do is make pillows. I know, the opposite of edges." He shook his head as they went to get lunch.

What was that late 90's or 2000's Computer Educational PC game for preschool or elementary school called? So what I remember was that I played it as a kid in school, the game itself was animated and it looked like a jungle or rainforest thing. The game also was set up like a board game but it wasn't a board game. When you moved the mouse around, it would make a xylophone sound. Also, at one point, a cowboy dad sings a song to and his son Johny or Jimmy or something like that in a small cabin or house in the woods at night. He sings about verbs and nouns and about the Mississippi River. The illustration shows trees walking around. Also, at one point, there's a science lab in a basement and there's a song. Idk if Edmark Programming like Millie’s Math House made this game. What education computer pc game is this?

Hi Reddit! Some repressed memories of mine have resurfaced and now I’m determined to figure out the name of these games I played while I was in preschool. This may be difficult as I’m going off of what I remember when I was very very little and I don’t remember a lot. Here is what I can remember from the first game I played back in preschool.
Platform: I played this game on PC. I’m pretty sure it was a floppy disk.
Genre: It was an educational point and click. The game revolved around archaeology I think. The character goes on adventure through the rainforest and then the desert.
Estimated Year of Release: It would have had to be released before 2008. It didn’t look old enough to be a 90’s game so I’d say settle in the middle of 2000-2008. Maybe 2004-2005?
Graphics/Art Style: I think the game had 3D models with 2D backgrounds. I was a child so I probably didn’t think the graphics were bad but I can imagine now as them being a bit crusty. The art style was maybe a combination between cartoony and realism. I remember the main character looking kind of tired-isk, like having wrinkly eyebags. The backdrops were very detailed and had pops of color where items you could click on were.
Notable Characters: The main character I can remember was either an anthropomorphic lizard or frog in safari attire. My brain wants to say he had a little brother or a sidekick who was also the same species but I’m not sure.
Notable Gameplay Mechanics: As I said before, it was a point and click. I think you had to find certain objects to give to other NPCs. I also think there was an inventory mechanic where you had a brown satchel and you could click it and it’d open your inventory. You could click on doorways and it would take you to different areas. I unfortunately don’t remember a lot about the mechanics.
Other Details: I honestly have no recollection of how this game ended up in my possession. It felt like one day it just appeared and I was playing it on my moms old desktop. I, however, selectively remember the character going to the desert during what I think was the middle of the game and there was a bunch of grapes you could click on and feed either the main character or his supposed brothesidekick that my brain may or may not have made up. I remember the desert area was the part that I gave up on as a child.
