So, my current PC is: i7 7700, GTX 1070ti, 16gb ram with a simple and cheap Mobo. I'm a photographer and a filmmaker, and I have started to notice I would benefit a upgrade for better editing performance... but I don't have money to upgrade everything at once, and hardware in my country is pretty expensive, wage~price per item wise.
My idea is to get a Ryzen 7950x, new mobo and RAM kit and still use the GTX 1070ti and storage (HD/SSD) I use today, until I have money to buy a new graphic card (probably RTX 4070ti Super or a 4080, depending the price for when I'm ready to purchase it, and a ssd nvme to replace the oldest versions.
What do you think about this idea? I know the Ryzen 7950x is a monster, but I'm uncertain about using a GTX 1070 ti with it. The bottleneck will make things (render time and gaming performance) worse than what I have currently? Or better? Or the same?

hello all first time posting here. let me give some background, I have always been a larger guy since the age of 8. My father was a unhealthy guy who would eat a whole bag of chips as a snack at night, so my perception of food is that a normal meal for someone else is like a light snack to me. his unhealthy diet ultimately lead to rapid stage 4 colon cancer which took his life last march. while he was a great guy and father, I always say him struggle and almost live in constant despair because of his incivility to control his eating and weight. he always said that he wanted me to be a better father than him, as all parents do to some extent, but my fathers weight and health robbed him and I of normal father son activities, and while I sympathize with his struggle and don't fault him for it I do not want to repeat the same story.
two years ago I got into body building and hired a coach and went from 6'3 280LB to 220LB with more to go, but as instability grew in my life I lost control and went back to 260LB. After my fathers passing I completely let go of the body building aspirations and watching my eating, and I am now 310LB and am rapidly losing hope. I struggled quite a bit even when going to 220LB originally, but not it seems almost impossible I start and do alright for 3 days or so then fall off again. I am coming here hoping someone understands my struggle and can give advice and hope to move forward to become the healthiest version of myself for not only myself, but the family I hope to have in the future.
I struggle more specifically with late night binge eating and sugar cravings, I feel as if I cannot sleep if I am not super full, and if I try I just toss and turn with anxiety that I cannot explain.
edit: I try to use diet soda and popsicles to help sugar cravings, but I end up abusing them to the point I feel it doesn't actually help me gain control over the situation.

So I love this game but it's full of little things that drive me crazy. I started developing a small personal mod to fix those problems and it quickly grew so big that I decided to polish it up and release it as an all in one balancing mod.
There's a ton of features. Like KotOR 2 class progression, persuade as a class skill, characters joining at level 1 so you can build them however you want, impossible difficulty restoration, etc.
There's an alternate version of the mod called the Radical Jedi version designed to make level saving on Taris unnecessary.
I'm currently doing a full playthrough of the game to test out what I consider it's low-key most important feature: weapon rebalancing. I've reconfigured the damage on almost every weapon in the game.
The general is is if the weapon can be dual wielded, it gets 1-2 dice for damage and if it cannot, it gets 3. When you factor in strength, flurry, and two weapons fighting, the average damage comes out pretty even with ranged weapons being stronger in the early game and melee weapons being stronger in the endgame.
I don't expect this mod to be the definitive balancing mod for this game but I still want to put that level of effort into it. So please check it out and give me your feedback and suggestions. I'd really appreciate it.

Looking for advice, though I don’t know that there’s anything I can do. Right before April of this year, I lived in my deceased grandparents house. I was doing it as a mutual favor to my mom who was dealing with all their legal and estate stuff, so that the house wasn’t left empty (less chance of it being robbed after the estate sale with it looking lived in, and home owners insurance wouldn’t go up). Around that time, I got approved for a new credit card. I have three accounts open with capital one. Quicksilver, savor one, and my now new Walmart rewards one (as I work at Walmart). Around this time I got a new number, and made a new email. So I updated all that on my account, especially the address so that my new card would be sent to me, and not my mother’s address as it had been. It was hers cause I moved around too much at the time. My account then got locked up, after being suspected of fraudulent behavior. I called them, they told me to submit a picture of my id and my social security card, and a utility bill. I told them I don’t pay utilities, and they said I could submit a bank statement. I bank through one, which is a Walmart bank, and so I sent those things in and a ten days later I called back asking about it. My id and social were verified, but the bank statement didn’t count for some reason, even though it shows my name, address, and the full account number. I was frustrated they didn’t call me about it, and after they told me again I can submit a utility bill, I again said I didn’t pay them. They said I could submit a phone bill. Didn’t think much of it, cause a bank statement doesn’t really prove residency imo either. I called a couple times to verify this. By this time in our story, I had moved into my apartment. So I had to change the address on my phone bill and went to at&t and asked if could update that on my old bill. They said I’d have to wait for the new one, which would come out a month later at the latest. Well it comes out later than a month later, but I send that in. Then I get a call about how it has to be a landline, which was never once specified to me from the employees. Ive now gotten a notice that my account will close if I don’t get proof in 45 days. I’ve begged my mom to put me on a utility bill but she says it’s too much of a hassle since they’re trying to sell it soon. As a last resort, I’m opening my Arvest account back cause surely that bank statement would count. I’ve had to call to make every minimum payment since. I made it this past month, but got a notification about a missed minimum payment. I can’t even see the account! Now my %100 on my credit scores going to go down. I’m genuinely very upset, especially since if it went up I wasn’t told. I don’t know what to do at this point.

Habe das Case in der RGB Version für 80€ schon gekauft. Das non-RGB dient nur als Platzhalter.
PS: Fände es auch schön wenn ihr mir vll noch eine schöne Wasserkühlung (240mm) vorschlagen könntet muss aber nicht finde nur das Aussehen schon ein ganz wichtige Rolle spielt.

Figured I'd share a bit of insight here.
After 2+ weeks of not being able to access the meds, I was finally able to get the 2.5 on Amazon (I'm on 5, but it has been more than 2 weeks since my last jab and 2.5 was available - 5 is still not).
I have my commercial insurance and the savings card on my Amazon file, because my insurance does not cover this. Yet, when I went to order - it made me pay the full amount minus the pitiful discount from the Prime 'meds your way'.
I spoke with a pharmacy CS agent and a supervisor, both of whom said there was nothing they could do and this was the price, and that the savings card was no longer accepted.... I even cancelled my order, followed instructions of various other subs here about removing/re-adding/etc. to no avail.
I bit the bullet, reset the order and paid full price (I'll try submit a request for reimbursement, but I'm not holding my breath). By morning, it had shipped (and thus I am stuck with that price).
Well, today I went on to delete my Savings card from amazon as it had an alert saying my insurance needed some updates. After deleting my savings card, it offered me the half price (550), as an automated process now, no saving card needed to be added to file.
So, learn from my mishap and try removing the savings card from your file when ordering, to see if that helps on Amazon.

i'm 20F my mom is in her late 40's ,my mom and dad are together.
I first caught her when i was 15 years old, i was young and a teenager back then and that really had a bad effect on me, IT SCREWED ME UP MENTALLY cause i never thought that my mom would do that, she was an angel to me.
i remember reading her texts and seeing that she was texting a family friend, they were talking dirty, calling each other on the phone etc, i remember that she secretly sent him a huge amount of money (my dad's money because he provides), and i remember him sending her a picture of his id card and stuff still don't know why.
i also remember them sexting a lot, her sending him some adult pictures of her (which made me go insane) and him sending her corn videos, that was soo disgusting .
at that age i knew that i was not mature enough to take the right decision, i was confused , and that's why i didn't tell my dad, but i told my brothers and they refused to believe me. one day i faced her about it and i cried begging her to stop texting that man and she told me she will stop.
my relationship with her changed a lot during that time, she started hating me a lot, and becoming more aggressive towards me.
then i took the decision to not give an f anymore, i thought maybe she will get bored at some point or realize that she's doing something wrong as a mom of 5 kids and if my dad founds out then i'll pretend that i knew nothing so i don't loose his trust as well.
5 years passed by and she is still in the same situation as before and even worse, i remember 2 years ago i checked her second phone(that i didn't know she had) and i saw that she had a fake profile on facebook and its full of dudes in her dms and weird ass groups i was like WHAT THE ACTUAL F* i was shocked then i put the phone away cuz i had enough.
Yesterday, a weird number called her and it was another man i pretended that nothing happened and that i didn't see her phone ringing.
it was yesterday when i realized that she's still going through the same pathway.
what should i do? i don't care about her life, if she's happy with those men then be it, i'm actually worried about my dad, he has abnormal anger issues. he will probably murder her if he founds out, and i'm worried about my reputation as a woman of such society, i don't do these stuff and i never had a boyfriend.
my question is :how can i put an end to this ? should i play dumb for the rest of my life til dad founds out and something bigger happens or just move on and move out ?
btw i come from a conservative 3rd world country, the things that my mom is doing are considered as very shameful and dangerous acts, especially as a woman it's risky here and she knows it. Even if my father murders her one day no one can do anything, men murder women here, yesterday our neighbor stabbed his wife to death, and all the blame was put on her, i'm really worried.

I’ve got a full refund on a 3060ti so this time I want to take a card that is good for SD. I stoped trying when I realized that my 3060ti was extremely slow with SDXL, but now I can upgrade. Btw are AMD cards still unusable or has it gotten any better ?
