Opinion please women in STEM. I just got done with my 12th grade and I'm thinking about which engineering course I want. So, I seem to be interested in civil engineering and that's one course that I have a fair chance of getting in one of the top 10 institutions in India. I'll most prolly do PG abroad as well.
So now to the issue, I've so many people discouraging me saying it's man's work basically hard work, the job opportunities are slim and the pay is much lower. But the biggest issue they have is they say it's hard work and I wouldn't be able to survive in it. Both my parents are doctorates in electrical engg and are professors in a Gulf country, he sent me a pic last week showing two female civil students mixing cement mixture in the afternoon sun saying is this what you wanna do š I'm like uhh yes? But seriously I'm doubting myself now.
I mean, this is the only field that really intrigues me and I think is fun. I love computer as well but I wouldn't get it in any good college and pretty much every other friend of mine is studying that so that's out. And about pay and opportunities, yes the pay is kinda bad in India but I see people in the Gulf earning well in this industry and almost all the countries here are coming up with huge new construction projects every other month so I don't see the industry falling that easily. And tbh, my salary isn't the biggest deal, nobody except me is dependenton it, I just want to do smtng I like.
Now I want the opinion of women who are working in civil industry or have friends who do. Is it really that hard? Should I change my stream and just do circuital branches? And is there an option desk jobs in civil engineering?

With just under 30 miles on the odometer, I'm dying for a new exhaust already. I came from a Focus ST '16 with an FSWERKS stealth exhaust and I def miss the sound. I'm really eyeing the A'PEX-i N1 for the FL5, or the AWE Track/Touring.
I like the deeper and 'refined' tone as heard in some videos of the A'PEX-i and what the valve controller can offer in terms of being loud when I want it. -- Also I LOVE the burnt tips and it's one of those legendary JDM brands that go hand in hand with JDM builds, especially a Civic. Kinda much for an exhaust, considering AWE is less than half the price thereabouts.
On the other hand, I think the AWE Track Edition seems like an amazing value, and I like the clips I've seen/heard of this exhaust. Worried that it might be regrettably loud, or be too much fart-cannon like. -- Also no burned tip option!
So what do you guys think? Are there any other exhaust I should consider? Sound is obviously important but I would love an burned tip look! Thanks in advance and I'll be posting some new fresh-off-the-lot pics soon!

- When I was first looking into the ship, I was told that both wing tips could be operated by the co-pilot, but even when there's a turret on each side, the co-pilot is only given access to one side. Am I misunderstanding how it works or is this intended?
- I was also considering looking at the Tana as a possible upgrade. I wanted to see other people's opinions on giving up the extra cargo room in exchange for amenities and a (hopefully working) gun rack + armor locker(?). Me and my co-pilot like to run a variety of missions, delivery, light salvage, maintenance, and are possibly looking into trying out combat in the future. Would you guys say that the Tana would be a good upgrade, or is sticking with the Kore and the extra room a better shot?

It felt like a true prison school ending, and fit the theme throughout the Manga, that the Manga isn't serious, it's all just fun and jokes from the start to beginning.
The only serious vibes i got was between andre and Risa
And of course Kiyoshi and Hana was a real relationship that 100% went together in the future, they fit each other too perfectly.
Chiyo was that one girl you had in school that was kind towards you, so you thought the feelings you had for her was love
But it's just lies you tell yourself because you're desperate towards the only opposite gender person that is friendly.
We have to remember in the end they are 15-16 year olds, stupid, horny, don't know shit. You get to know people through spending time and sharing experiences and Im guessing from my memory Hana and Kiyoshi did spend more time and experiences than Chiyo and Kiyoshi.
The amount of chapters Hana showing her feelings felt more real and endgame than Chiyo, I was literally confused chapter 276 there's no way Chiyo and Kiyoshi is endgame. (thank god chapter 277 exists)
I feel like this whole Manga was just an exaggeration of puberty, friendship and school life.
If you guys didn't notice my personal favorite character was Hana, everytime she showed up you knew it was gonna be a good time, fun, maybe a bit horny, but fun chapters.
then Joe, Gakuto loved their bond especially with the Yaoi arc, that got my laughing and crying tears.
and Kiyoshi 4th place. Main character we spend the most time with, kinda hard to dislike?, plus I can relate to most of the stuff he's done
Now this is all my opinion, you can agree or disagree, but i enjoyed this manga alot and i really feel connected to the characters. 9/10

Hey, Iām a 26 single male looking to make a career switch. Iām currently working in the telecom sales and making little over $100,000 a year, been doing it since the last 5 years but getting fed up with the politics and toxic environment at the work place, my manager feels jealous of me and always picking on me and there are always dramas in the store where people are stealing your sales, back bitting etc. So I wanna try something high ticketing because I know I can do better, I put my heart and soul in everything I do and thatās why I succeed so much. Iām the top sales person of my region in the company. Got a house on my own a few years ago and thatās why leaving the current job feels scary, I donāt think I can start making the same amount of money by working on a salaried job. Im also working another full time job which is remote just for the sake of having a backup plan as I donāt wanna rely on just one job when Iāve debts to pay. So Iāve been grinding two full time jobs since the last 5 years and my body canāt take it no more. Been a lot stressed recently because of the mortgaging as I donāt have anybody to support me financially but me. My mental health is deteriorating due to my manager whoās always bulling and threatening me indirectly. Iām really good at what Iām doing but I think I can do a lot better and have better rewards if I put in the same amount of effort and time in a different industry. I spent my own money and I got coupons for that. After that May 9, 2024 I bought Elgato Stream Deck MK. for 130$ from that coupons Its had to delivered Friday May 10. I was wait it for today May 14 and its still didn't delivered. I contacted support and asked them where is my item show me proof of delivery. They accept that item lost and offered me options for replacement or refund. First I asked replacement but they told me they cant replacement it so they will refund it. OK Lets refund right? Sure 00.00$ :D why? because item was full covered by coupon and they couldn't refund coupon. Than guy offered me he could refund 3 month of prime like 45$ and gift me 10$ coupon. Really? In the app, whenever I try to book a screening for The Fall Guy in one of those ex-ViP screens, I'm only able to pay the full 10.99 price, rather than the Ā£3 uplift.
I haven't yet tried via my laptop, but is anyone else having this issue?

Hello, Today I will gather my courage and go to see a psychiatrist. I often read that PVCs are often triggered by stress, and sometimes I think I'm in an anxiety spiral. I think about them immediately upon waking up, feel each one of them, and sometimes count my PVCs for hours.
Sometimes I have 3-4 per minute over a long period, then I get bigeminy when I try to exercise, so I don't exercise anymore. My heart has been examined by MRI, echo, multiple EKGs. Two EPs and three cardiologists tell me my heart looks good, my burden is between 1-6% per day. I had an ablation 4 months ago, unfortunately the PVCs were only gone for 2 weeks and came back.
In addition, I have PVCs with different appearances, 2-3 morphologies, but 98% are always the same every day.
If I get medication for calming or against the fear of them today, I don't know... I'm afraid they might get worse because of it... the medications also have some side effects...
Are there actual reports that it really helped? I don't know what else to try...

When my girlfriend and I got together one of the initial things we discussed were children. We both wanted two children in the future. We said we'd likely look to start a family when my girlfriend is in her early 30s (She was 23 when we discussed this and is 25 now, I am 28 now).
Since then we've been on a few holidays abroad and there's a long list of places we want to visit and there's a lot I want to experience. Obviously with work and money, we can't really do a lot of it each year. We're managing between 1 and 2 trips abroad each year (we live in the UK).
Recently I've been thinking about everything we said we want to do and experience and to tick everything off the list it will take a long time. I've also been thinking about the cost of living and while me and my girlfriend are in full time jobs, neither of them are highly paid.
My gfs job will never go above Ā£30k a year and minds will never go above Ā£45k. With paying for rent, bills, savings, holidays etc we don't have a lot left over at the end and having a child would likely be a struggle financially.
That doesn't seem as appealing to me as it did originally and I'd rather go down the list of places I want to visit and see as much of the world as possible. I told my girlfriend I wanted to talk and she asked what it was about.
I told her I no longer think I wanted children and told her the reasons mentioned above. She asked if I was sure and I said while I'm not 100% certain, I am still pretty sure.
She then asked what it meant for us and I said that obviously I'd love to do everything together but I know she wants children so it might mean it is the end for us.

- By adding a traditional IGL, Sentinels went from a below-average team to winning a major.
- NRG (considered by most to be the most talented/experienced roster coming into 2024) are flopping. Why? They forced a non-IGL onto IGL (even if Ethan was vocal on past rosters). NRG's midrounding and calling have been so bad, proving that assembling a GIGANTIC amount of talent onto a roster doesn't work if you disregard the importance of HAVING A TRADITIONAL IGL.
- Consider the previous champs roster of 2023 EG. Out of all the players who left, the one whose new team is doing the best is Boosito, the IGL (now for 100t). c0m has been (arguably) the worst-performing player on Lev (who lost to 100T). Ethan and Demon1 are struggling individually on the IGL-less NRG (who lost to 100T). This highlights two things:
- The best IGLs make their teammates look better, leading to the IGL being undervalued/the other players being overvalued
- If you want to upgrade your team, upgrade your IGL.
- Even G2, a team that is showing consistent high-level performances, has a veteran, top-level IGL in Valyn.

We were together 6 years. First year or two was all gravy. Then we started having fights and it got so bad at year 6 we split up. A year later we started hanging out lightly again and fell back in love. She moved back in. Things went well again for a while. 6 months ago or so things started to get bad again. We agreed to pursue couples counseling. This wasnāt very effective unfortunately, which has added to the hurt if that makes sense.
When we fight (or fought), and Iām sort of ashamed to admit this, it bleeds into other areas of my life. Jobs were impacted. I felt like I didnāt have the energy to give due to the stress from constant arguing and intense arguing. My family relationships were sort of impacted because of the stress and constantly trying to seek out advice. Same with some friendships. Iāve had certain friends and folks that have wanted us to see it end for years. āBut hey what do they know? We know the situation best.ā
The truth is this person IS one of the few people on this planet that I feel genuinely cared about me aside from family, and the ONLY girl Iāve ever met who showed the kind of care and interest in me as she did. But we always seemed to be struggling to meet each otherās needs. For years there was a theme of her feeling unappreciated and unloved. For me, we didnāt go out and enjoy life enough. And then one day two weeks ago shit hit the fan with our relationship. Her feeling unappreciated and unloved for years and years culminated. She said she was done with couples counseling and I needed to fully focus on individual. This upset me. Things escalated, and we broke up.
I feel quit on. And betrayed. But I also feel past mistakes with work etc snowballed and she grew tired of insecurities I was expressing and complaining about regarding comparing to my working successful peers. In her words, she no longer knew how to offer support and felt unappreciated and unloved.
One thing that bugged me is we agreed to pursue individual therapy together at the recommendation of our couples counselor. She never got around to it. She blamed ādelays in the Kaiser network.ā
