When traveling abroad, it is essential to have the local currency on hand. Exchanging your domestic currency for the foreign equivalent serves various purposes, from making purchases to accessing local services. This blog section will explore the different scenarios where obtaining foreign currency is necessary.
Traveling Abroad
The primary reason to buy foreign currency is for use during international travel. Local vendors, restaurants, and attractions will typically only accept the native currency, making it crucial to convert your money before your trip. This ensures you can pay for accommodations, meals, transportation, and other expenses seamlessly upon arrival.
Business Transactions
Individuals and businesses engaged in cross-border operations must maintain foreign currency reserves. This may include purchasing the currency to pay overseas suppliers, contractors, or partners. Acquiring the necessary foreign funds allows for the completion of international business dealings.
Investment Purposes
Some investors choose to hold foreign currencies as part of a diversified portfolio. Fluctuations in exchange rates can present opportunities for profit through currency trading or investments in foreign markets. Obtaining the desired foreign currency is the first step in pursuing these financial strategies.
In summary, the need to purchase foreign currency arises in various contexts, from personal travel to commercial transactions and investment activities. Ensuring you have the appropriate local currency is crucial for navigating international environments effectively.

The Importance of Maintaining Diverse Foreign Currency Holdings

In today's globalized economy, the need to hold and exchange foreign currency has become increasingly essential. Whether you are a business engaged in international trade, a traveler exploring new destinations, or an individual with financial obligations abroad, having access to diverse foreign currency holdings can serve a variety of important purposes.

By holding the local currency, you can avoid the inconvenience and potential losses associated with constantly exchanging money at unfavorable rates. This allows for smoother operations and helps to minimize financial risks.
For individuals, foreign currency holdings can be crucial when traveling overseas. Having the local currency on hand enables you to pay for goods and services, tip service providers, and make emergency purchases without the added hassle and expense of exchanging money upon arrival. This can greatly enhance the overall travel experience and provide peace of mind.
Additionally, holding foreign currency can serve as a hedge against currency fluctuations. By diversifying your currency portfolio, you can mitigate the impact of exchange rate volatility on your financial assets and obligations. This can be particularly beneficial for businesses with international operations or individuals with financial commitments in multiple countries.
In conclusion, maintaining a diverse portfolio of foreign currency holdings is a prudent financial strategy that can benefit both businesses and individuals. By understanding the various purposes for which foreign currency is needed, you can better prepare for the challenges and opportunities presented by the global marketplace.

This could involve sending money to family members, paying bills, or completing business transactions in a different country. Utilizing the appropriate foreign currency can help streamline these financial operations and avoid unnecessary conversion fees.

2024.05.14 11:55 e36_maho For real now: Do you guys really think we can handle having Vini, Mbappe, Rodrygo, Jude, Endrick, Arda, Brahim... and keep all of them happy?

I don't get it. I'm reading "Trust Carlo" and stuff, but this is just simple math. Vini, Jude & Mbappe are players of world class caliber, that will always expect to play. Rodrygo isn't too far behind those.
1st option - So if we keep this season's formation and just replace Rodrygo with Mbappe, those 3 are playing. That puts Rodrygo on the bench, a player that's recently out of form, but has saved our asses so many times and is generally considered one of the best attackers there is. Will Rodrygo be content with a Joker role without the perspective of becoming a starter again anytime soon? Like does anyone expect Vini or Mbappe to become shit suddenly or leave? Because if not, there's no place for Rodrygo.
2nd option - If we play 433 again with Vini-Mbappe-Rodrygo and Fede-Tchou/Cama-Jude behind, we get one more spot in front, costing us a midfield position. If Kroos and Modric leave, I can see this happening. But this would be a much more offensive lineup than we played this season, and I'm not sure if it will even be an upgrade, Kroos was just immense.
If we choose the first option, Brahim and Arda will drop even further behind in playing time. First Rodrygo will get minutes, then Brahim and then Arda. Where Endrick will be in this, we can't say yet, but he'll definitely struggle to get minutes, especially because Carlo just doesn't like to rotate much. If we choose the 433 - and as I'm writing this I'm getting more and more sure of it - we'll have to drastically change our game plan and there won't be a place for Kroos and Modric anymore. Only if we can manage to play Pep's City level of game control, we could put up a 433 with Fede-Kroos-Jude + Vini-Mbappe-Rodrygo, but it would be very hard to pull off imo. That just doesn't sound like a functioning balanced team to me.
Oh regarding Joselu: I think we all saw how important it is to have a player like him in the squad. I think we should buy him. Neither Mbappe nor Endrick have the same abilities.
Lets quickly look at the midfield and offense for next season, if Mbappe comes, we buy Joselu and only Modric leaves:
Attack: Vini, Mbappe, Rodrygo, Joselu, Brahim, Arda, Endrick (That's 7 top quality players competing for 2-3 spots, with 2 spots that are basically reserved already)
Midfield: Kroos, Fede, Tchou, Cama, Jude, Ceballos (that's 6 players competing for 3-4 spots)
Another way to look at it: This is the minutes played in all comps for the midfielders and attackers. Mbappe will want to play at least 3000 mins, Endrick maybe 1000 and Arda will want to play at least 1000 too. Modric only has 2140 that would free up, so whose minutes do they get? This is simple maths. Even if we don't buy Joselu, it's still not enough.
Federico Valverde3.958 Rodrygo3.414 Jude Bellingham3.379 Toni Kroos2.935 Vinicius Junior2.814 Aurélien Tchouaméni2.809 Eduardo Camavinga2.567 Luka Modric2.140 Joselu2.000 Brahim Díaz1.996 Dani Ceballos751 Arda Güler322
In my opinion we need to sell at least one attacker between Rodrygo, Brahim and Arda. Maybe Ceballos instead of Arda, if we can utilize him in midfield. Loaning those players out won't make sense, because if they can't cut it now, why would that be different a year from now? It's not like we have old players in the front that will leave soon. I would prefer to sell Rodrygo, because he'll never play to his full potential with us on the right wing. As a Turk I would hate it if Arda was sold, but if I'm being honest I don't see him get a real shot to compete for a starting position. Brahim was a very good sub this season and if he's content with that role, I'd love to keep him forever. But if he wants to start every game, he would need to leave, and tbh I can see it.

2024.05.14 11:22 melrakki91 Tips & Thoughts on The Philippines

Philippines
Up to this point, I’ve travelled to most countries in SE Asia (except for Brunei & Timor-Leste), and am returning from the Philippines. I wanted to give some insight, thoughts, and tips for travel.
1. It is relatively more expensive to travel compared to other southeast asian countries. My average was close to $50/day, including accommodation. What I felt made it a little more expensive is the island-nature, meaning flights and ferries tend to add up in cost, say compared to Laos of Vietnam. Secondly, I found it difficult to find the sweet spot of local food that also didn’t feel risky. Many times, my choices were fast food, super local canteen options, or nice western-style restaurants. Consequently, I ended up eating at fast food restaurants mostly, which felt more mid-range (150-250 php/meal).
2. SIM Cards. There are two companies, SMART and GLOBE. Don’t buy from the airport, they are ridiculously overpriced. I’d recommend buying at a local store inside a shopping mall. GLOBE had errors when I tried to install it on my phone & app glitches. SIM cards are a pain, considering to register them you need proof of onward travel and hotel reservations. Don’t do this alone, have a phone rep help you complete this step.
3. Get out of Manila. It may be obvious, the natural beauty of the Philippines lies on the coast and the many islands. But also, I personally found Manila to be a particularly depressing city. The traffic, the un-walkability, the heat, and inconvenience of getting around made me want to leave rather quickly. 1-2 days should be enough. The coffee & food seemed so overpriced. Nothing felt too charming, compared to other SEA capitals. In contrast, I enjoyed Bangkok and Saigon immensely.
4. Most pristine nature in SE Asia. The only place in my mind that can rival the beauty of the islands here would be Indonesia, in my humble opinion.. The beaches, turquoise & clear water, and many waterfalls are stunning. Each place is more beautiful than the next, and it's easy to get off the beaten track with so many islands and waterfalls.
5. Everything moves VERY slowly, take this into account for planning. I was only here for 8 days and barely touched the surface of 2 islands. One month , maybe two months would give a nice introduction to what the Philippines has to offer. Getting around by bus, ferry, and boats takes a long time. Bus’s stop frequently to pick up cargo and passengers. The ferries do not leave on time. Even simple things, such as waiting in line for food or coffee, will take much longer than you may be used to. Entrance and Exit immigration, also, can be hours of waiting at the airport. But this can be good for relaxation too.
6. Flights and Ferries are expensive. I’ve already touched on this, but domestic flights in the Philippines can rival long-haul international flights in the rest of the world. For example, the other day I saw flights going from Cebu-Manila for nearly 12,000 php ($207.44), which is a 1.5 hour domestic flight. The ferries I took ranged from 800-100 php ($13-$18). For domestic flights, purchase well in advance can mitigate these costs.
7. Proficiency of English is very high. The removal of the language barrier for most makes this a great destination. I’d say the only other place in Southeast Asia that can rival the level of English proficiency in the Philippines would be Malaysia/Singapore. I was surprised that even the locals talk to each other in English. For tourism, the fact that English is so ubiquitous means ease of travel for most solo travellers that have a strong command of English.
8. Strong Points: Natural Beauty & Politeness. Throughout the SEA, I’d say the Philippines has some of the most pristine beaches and waterfalls. Additionally, the locals are very polite to tourists. You may get some taxi men pestering you, but they are easy to avoid if you let them know you’re not interested. I never felt in danger, but some of the spots in the cities felt a bit seedier than I am used to.
9. Weak Points: Coffee & Food. I tried the delicacies the Philippines is known for, and at least to my palate, I didn’t think it was too special. Adobo, Chicken and rice, as well as lechon (pork) tend to be popular dishes. Same for coffee, the coffee in the Philippines for most places I have tried was overly sweet and weak for espresso-based drinks. Not the worst coffee in SEA, but pretty low on the list. Additionally, food and coffee was more expensive than most other southeast asian countries.
10. Download these apps. Grab for cars, Move In (owned by Grab) for motorbike taxis, JoyRide also for motorbike taxis, SMART for sim card registration, and eGov pH for entrance into the Philippines as you will be required to fill out the entrance declaration on the app. Last note is ATMs, international ATMS are relatively uncommon. But ask around, and you can find them in each city or island you are travelling to.

2024.05.14 11:02 haventfoundit 15 Days in Kyushu and Yakushima - Itinerary Check

Hi Reddit
I'm going to Japan for the first time in June + July for approx. 5-6 weeks. For the first three weeks, I'll be traveling with my partner and we will mainly visit Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kanazawa, parts of the Japanese alps and of course Tokyo. For this, we have all the accommodations booked and know more or less what to do. He will fly back mid-June and I'll have another 15 or so days in Japan on my own. It will be my first time solo traveling.
Because I don't want to drive a car alone (nervous driver, especially on the left side, plus would need to get my licence translated which seems really complicated), I will be using public transportation.
I'm generally interested in culture, food, nature/hiking. I don't speak Japanese.
After a lot of research and looking through various very helpful posts here on reddit, I decided on visiting Kyushu and Yakushima and came up with the following itinerary. I have booked all the accommodations plus the flight to/from Fukuoka and the ferry to Yakushima, most of the accommodations can still be cancelled. I have not yet set my eyes on any specific restaurants since I like to go with the flow/look what I'm in the mood for.
I am a bit nervous and I would really appreciate it if you could give me some do's or don'ts or recommendations.
Here's what I thought about:
Day 1 (mid-june): Tokyo Fukuoka
Day 2: Fukuoka 1
Day 3: Fukuoka 2
Day 4: Fukuoka Kagoshima
Day 5: Kagoshima
Day 6: Kagoshima Yakushima
Days 7-9: Yakushima 1-3
I don't have all the days planned since it all depends on the weather.
Explore Yakushima, possibilities:
Day 10: Yakushima Kumamoto
Day 11: Day trip to Mt Aso from Kumamoto
Day 12: Day trip to Takachiho Gorge from Kumamoto
Alternatives for Day 11 or 12: Kurokawa Onsen?
Day 13: Kumamoto Nagasaki
Day 14: Nagasaki 1
Day 15: Nagasaki 2 Fukuoka
Day 16: Fukuoka Toyko
Day 17: Departure
Specific questions:
Otherwise, do you think I'm making any big mistakes with this itinerary?
Thanks in advance!

2024.05.14 10:43 RandomUseless3 [Request] [Steam] Helldivers 2 (39.99$) [Attempt 13]

Hello GiftofGames! I have come to you today to request the game that I'm sure you all have heard of, Helldivers 2. After seeing the tons of posts here, some YouTube videos on it, and hearing people I know talk about it, it sounds like the perfect game.
What is Helldivers 2?
Helldivers 2 is a co-op shooter in which a team of 4 players are sent on dangerous missions to a strange planets, with the goal of exterminating aliens for the safety of the galaxy and it's inhabitants. You play as an elite team called the Helldivers. Their goal is to bring peace, liberty, and (managed) democracy, using some of the biggest, most explosive gadgets in the galaxy.
Why do I want it?
Because it looks fun. I want to blast automatons with mechs, rain 500 kg on Bile titans, accidentally laser my teammates, and spread democracy and liber-tea.
On another note, I haven't spent hours researching and wanting to play a new game in years.
Why can't I afford it?
I'm a student in the Russian Federation, Our economy is ash and budget's not doing well, I'd buy it myself if I could.
Thanks for reading. I know this has been a popular game recently with lots of people asking for it and that causes less gifting. But I've also noticed that the people who are requesting Helldivers seem to have success. So I thought I'd try.

Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) is a distinctive holding company led by Warren Buffett, known for its diverse portfolio of subsidiaries and equity investments. The company's unique structure includes two classes of stock, with BRK.A offering significant voting rights and BRK.B providing limited voting rights. Buffett's investment philosophy emphasizes value and long-term growth, leading to the company's success and his reputation as a legendary investor.
Berkshire Hathaway's holdings include wholly-owned subsidiaries like Geico and equity investments in companies like Apple and Coca-Cola. These investments, along with a substantial cash reserve, position Berkshire Hathaway for long-term success.
Investing in BRK.A provides access to Buffett's expertise and a diversified portfolio, but it comes with a high price tag and limited liquidity. Additionally, the future leadership of Berkshire Hathaway after Buffett is uncertain, which could impact the company's direction.
Despite these considerations, BRK.A can be a valuable long-term investment for those who value Buffett's philosophy and seek a well-diversified holding company.

2024.05.14 09:41 albert1165 Vuong Pham's trick continue with VF3 to dump VIC

1/
Many bought Vietnamese media run with the headlines: VIC explode after VFS jumped 50%. Clear evidencce of Vuong Pham's ochestration for the pump (and then dump of course). VIC jumped in the early session and red ever since. Poor retail traders / investors buying in the morning. Of course, there is no institutional buyers.
VIC volume is just 4.8M so far. Clearly, many retail investors are jumping in to hold the bags on the VF3 rumors but not as many as Vuong Pham's hope to hold the price. Vuong Pham must be very worry.
One thing you might learn by reading my post is that always look at volume and price together.
2/
The trick of pumping VF3 continues in full force.
Random people claimed to be factory employees or sales persons posted various status with varying figures: "secret sources" say 30K reservation, "Vinfast friend" say 50K reservation, 60K reservation. As I have explained, this is rumor game using non official accounts to spread rumor.
Media reported people X Y Z showed the reservation slip. Mr X Y Z or Ms A B C said why they bought VF3.
Well, all this is all seeding to create a sense of red hot products, as if people dont buy now, they will lose the chance to get one due to huge demand. Of course, the media has to write it for the money, they don't do it for free, and who is pay the media to write?
It is just the usual Vuong Pham's marketing trick.
He must think Vietnamese people are dumb for all of his tricks.
Even in the internet age, there are still a lot of clueless people, especially in Vietnam where Vuong Pham has a complete control of the media, but eventually people will tell each other by words of mouth.
3/
But all tricks will have short term effect only, even in the media controlled Vietnam.
Eventually, people will know the truth. Eventually, Vuong Pham has to dump (actually, he continue to dump all the way).
4/
Just this morning, there is a news of a VF8 crashed into a children hospital (no people died this time). As usual, Vuong Pham censored the news. The same as when he censored the Pleasanton's crash.
After a further thought, it appears to me that this is the fault of the cars, not the driver's fault. Newspaper reported that the driver got off the car to go to the back to get a patient out / get stuffs and the cars suddenly went off. The driver was out of the car.
This is the same situation as when a GSM taxi driver was out of the car at a charging station but the car moved ahead on itself at park.
This is the same situation when a self reversed VF9 killed a guy at a basement.

Thinking that many people going out to buy a buggy car without test drive is unrealistic. After all, 15M VND and 235M VND are still a big amount of the average Vietnamese. Only those wealthy Vinfans jump in early and these kind of people have already reserved the VF3 and the numbers are drying up, I predict.
6/
FPT guys will get a 6.5% discount. How many IT guys dumb enough to get VF3 before trying?

2024.05.14 09:10 cybersphinx7 Is it possible to win the bid without aankoopmakerlaar

I started my house search a month ago and viewed a couple of them. Now I have decided to put a bid on a house in Almere, but after reading countless articles and threads on Reddit, I have started to doubt whether I, without an aankoopmakelaar, will be able to put in a winning bid. There are many questions on my mind.
  1. If I put in a bid, can the verkoopmakelaar check it in their backend software and inform other bidders (who are with an aankoopmakelaar) to bid more than me?
  2. Will the homeowner even consider me a serious buyer without an aankoopmakelaar?
  3. Is it okay to carry out a technical inspection (does it make sense to do it on a 25-year-old house) and then decide to buy, but will this reduce my chances of winning a bid?
  4. Should I put on reservation of finance clause ON? So that it will give me some security. Or again this makes my bid less attractive?
  5. Assuming if I win the bid, do I still need aankoopmakelaar for things further such as reading the property and other legal documents which are in Dutch?
Looking for some thoughts.

2024.05.14 08:32 sharpeguy I cleared the underworld w 32 Fear, here's how

Preamble

This is going to be a bit of a lengthy post so bear with me. I am going to get into boons, arcana cards, vows, and weapon/equipment choice in this post and how I eventually was able to clear the underworld at 32 fear. All of this is in context of the build I am going for and the weapon I am using. Different vows, cards, etc. may be better for different weapons and playstyles. This is not a definitive guide and I have only beaten it once so far and by sticking to one weapon during my attempts. I enjoy writing about stuff like this and hope that this can possibly help y'all.
I finished the surface on my 23rd run and then the underworld on the next for reference. I just now cleared the underworld at 32 fear on my 143rd run. Of those between were me completing testaments, trying out weapons/aspects, and chaos trials. I attempted 32 fear a total of 36 times before I finally got it. Total in game time according to steam is 74 hours lol (I had a four day weekend and my gf is out of town so this is pretty much all I did).
Proof of run

Weapon/Aspect: Momus Staff

Firstly you want to get enough resources to unlock and fully upgrade the aspect, I think 10 total nightmare? Giving your special +30 power. I wouldn't bother 32 fear until you can get it all the way up.
For a few runs while I was using the skull with Melinoe/Persephone aspect, as I was trying to complete the 20 fear testament simultaneously. Stopped since I decided I wasn't really comfortable with the skull and switched to Melinoe's staff. Did that for a while and then saw this video and decided to give the Momus staff a shot, where i then won in 7 runs after switching. It also probably helped that I changed around some vows around this time, more on that later.
Watch the video for a breakdown but essentially you want Poseidon special + legendary boon, and ideally the double moonshot hammer that gives your special 2 more projectiles that seek. He switches his binds for left and right click but I did not, up to you.
Took a minute to get used to but essentially I just spammed speciall the entire time in fights, kiting enemies when necessary. I used my cast defensively to root enemies and create space mostly until I got a 3 specific boons, more later. Did not really use omegas at all, as I turned off the magick regen card and turned on the vow that removes your magick at the start of each encounter. If I did gain some magick, I would only use it for the omega special to regain some health when it was safe in fights (5 healing if you are near it when it explodes).

Arcana Cards

This is what I used but some may find other ones more to their liking. I will explain my choices below. Be sure to upgrade these to their max potential. The descriptions that I give are referencing their maxed out bonus. I almost exclusively used my charon cards (obol points) to order 8 moon dust in the camp to upgrade faster. Also having 30 grasp is required so be sure to get that maxed out too. Just playing the game should get you there. Gathering bones and completing minor prophecies are helpful in getting more moondust and nightmare faster to upgrade your cards and aspects. I have starred the one's that I think are almost absolutely necessary.
Arcana card choices
I. The Sorceress: Not using omega moves with this build for the most part, mainly chosen to just fill out the top row to awaken the divinity card.
II. The Wayward Son: +2 health (with 50% healing reduction from a vow) is definitely helpful, some much needed passive healing.
* III. The Huntress: +50% attack and special damage when you have less than 100 magick is probably a must have. Especially in my vows set up where I pretty much never have any magick.
IV. Death: Also to just fill out the row for divinity, not really using omega moves.
* V. The Messenger: +10% dodge chance is a lifesaver.
VII. The Titan: More health (and magick) is helpful for the early game before you get any centaur hearts.
* X. The Lovers: 0 damage from bosses for 3 hits is absolutely nuts, this was a whole keepsake in the last game. Attacks that miss you from dodge or daze from Apollo don't count towards a hit as well.
XI. The Swift Runner: Just generally helpful for kiting and running around, especially with increased enemy movement from a vow.
* XII. Eternity: 3 death defiances are absolutely essential probably in any playthrough unless you are a god at not getting hit ever.
* XVIII. Origination: Enemies with 2 curses take +50% damage is fantastic and helps to absolutely shred through them
* XXII. The Champions: 3 chances to reroll boon choices among other things is pretty much a must for run consistency. I would mainly use it on my first Poseidon boon to get the special. Would also use again to try and get slip or blast damage one or legendary from him, also on Hestia to get her cast or the one that allows you to aim the cast (both possible prerequisites for their duo boon, more later).
XXIII. The Artificer: I slept on this one big time at first until I saw someone using it in a 32 heat run on youtube. Change a minor reward into a major one 3 times is fantastic and really helps in the early game. I would use all 3 in the first region for a chance to get a pom, heart, gold, boon, or hammer. I would almost put this one as a must but you do you.
XXIV. Divinity: 20% extra chance to get an epic boon. Activated by the full top row, its just nice to have to possibly get some more benefits out of boons.
Alternatives: Like I mentioned before I only activate I and IV mainly to activate divinity. You could lose them and go for IX Night (automatic charging for your hex) or XVI The Fates (+3 rolls to change location rewards). I feel like hexes are not all that impactiful personally (except for a couple). Also changing location rewards is a toss up, meh. You could also lose XI extra sprint speed to to open up 5 grasp and go for XV Stength (take and deal more damage at low hp), XVII The Boatman (get more gold at the start of the run), or XIX Excellence (higher % for rare boons offered), which all have valid arguments. In hindsight I think giving up those 3 for Stregnth or Excellence might be worth it, might try in future runs.

Oath of the Unseen Vows

Throughout my runs I experimented a lot with the various choices and found that the ones I chose are best for how I play. It is really up to you, this is just how I did it. I mostly messed around with damage taken, enemy spawns, and health, the rest pretty much stayed constant. I originally was using the 9 minute time limit per region for a majority of my runs until I switched aspects (and the 7 minute several times). I eventually decided that I was playing too aggresively to beat the clock and would lose most of, if not all my death defiances by Tartarus/Chronos, or earlier. I did still have decent amount of time to beat Chronos if I got there with the time limit, just the health and death defiance loss was too much. Here is what I went with and explanations for each, I starred the ones I think should be kept on and are relatively easy to deal with.
Vows Used
Vow of Blood (+3): Just don't get hit duh. No but seriously +60% damage to you hurts, a lot. I really wish I did not have to use this, but the alternatives I think are worse. As you play more you'll get better and learn attack patterns and how to kite effectively.
Vow of Dominance (+3): Enemies now have +30% health which is rough, but with no time limit, just take your time in killing enemies off safely.
Vow of Rebuke (+2): Enemies have 2 barriers before they can take damage, not too bad. Makes clearing enemies a bit harder, but with the poseidon boon, you apply two instances of damage with each hit. So only one special shot with the boon will clear the barrier, also the wave the shoots out of them helps to clear barriers of the other enemies.
Vow of Fury (+3): Enemies are 20% faster (and their projectiles too?! I'm pretty sure this is the case, I haven't played without it in a while so I'm not exactly sure). This one took some getting used to, not much I can say except just keep trying. Another +3 makes them 40% faster which I do not recommend. The screaming shades, wolves and their heads, thorny spinny guys in Oceanus, rats, and Chronos are all insane with 40% extra speed.
Vow of Suffering (+2): +100% for the first hit you take in each encounter. Same as Vow of Blood, its rough, wish I could go without it as well.
Vow of Commotion (+3): 60% more foes in encounters (does not affect the boss summons). Had this one a tier or two lower, or not at all, when I was experimenting with the time limit. The AOE from Poseidon definely helps here, just take your time to clear out enemies. It can get pretty bad in tartarus with the bags and skulls everywhere though so just be careful.
Vow of Haunting (+2): Enemies have 50% of spawning a revenant when killed which if left alone long enough will respawn them. These are annoying as hell but not terrible once you get used to it. On death a flaming green skull thing launches out of them and travels a bit of a distance, just run ovecollect them and they are negated, don't need to damage or whatever. Can sometimes be hard to spot if behind a wall or obstacle. Overall not that bad, its not the end of the world if you let them respawn. Definitely though go for the ones that would respawn an enemy that are hard/annoying to deal with ASAP e.g. rat spawning satyrs, wolves, any projectile shooting enemy. Sometimes I feel like rats almost always spawn a revenant which is annoying. I honestly think they should also rework this so that if an enemy respawns it can't have another revenant spawn.
* Vow of Wandering (+3): 25% chance for enemies to be from the next region. Really not that bad at all, just have to deal with some more annoying enemies with larger health pools.
Vow of Scars (+2): Healing is only 50% effective is not that bad. You only get +2 healing passively from the card now and a lot less from fountains and such, goes hand in hand with blood and suffering, you'll get better at not getting hit.
* Vow of Destitution (+2): Charon's shop (and wells) are 80% more expensive. You'll miss out some boons, healing, poms, hearts, etc. but its not awful, you will still gain a good amount of gold to usually buy a boon or something at the end of each region except Oceanus I found. Also with Poseidon in your god pool, he has some boons that can help with getting more gold like minor find doubling up, increased value of minor finds, and sunken treasure.
* Vow of Panic (+1): No more magick at the start of each encounter. In this build you don't really need it anyways so this is a freebie point of fear pretty much. Also if you decide to have the card that regens magick on it pretty much negates it after a little while.
** Vow of Forsaking (+2): This one might actually be beneficial. The two boon options you don't pick will not longer show up in your run. This is why I have the boon rerolls on, so I can guarantee to get Poseidon special on my first boon. Otherwise this helps to increase your chances of getting legendary or duo boons (if you have the prerequisites) since the boon choice pool is lowered after each pick. It is unfortunate though if both prereqs for poseidons legendary are in the given choices and you are out of rolls though.
* Vow of Arrogance (+4): Prime 10 magick for each level of rarity above common that you pick. Again, not using magick hardly in this build so doesn't really matter. Also in lower fear runs I have used this, it does not really matter all that much even when you are using omega moves.
Unused:

Boons/Hammers/Keepsakes/Familiar

Poseidon: Equip his keepsake at start, reroll for wave flourish (special) if needed and rarify. Afterwards look for slippery slope then crashing wave ideally. This primes you to get his legendary which gives +150% damage from splash effects to bosses. Other great ones are double up which is nuts that it can possibly double your hearts, gold, and poms you pick up. Ocean's bounty is nice to increase gold. Water fitness is pretty good if you can get 4 water elements to give you +100 health. Flood control is also nice for damage reduction.
Hestia: Equip her keepsake after Erebus if you did not already get her in your god pool (you get up to 4 gods like in Hades I). Ideally you want her both cast and glowing coal, which lets you aim your cast. Either of which in combination with slippery slope gets you access to Poseidon/Hestia duo boon scalding vapor whcih does insane damage over time. I'm not sure if you should prioritize glowing coal over her cast honestly, both have their upsides alone, but you do want both hopefully. With glowing coal so you can aim your cast since you will be fighting from a distance mostly (not always but in how I played this build I did for the most part), which can activate the steam cloud on foes with slip. Hestia cast is less safe and you need to be closer to enemies to get the steam cloud to activate, but it does more damage, continously applying steam on the enemy. Other boons like soot sprint are nice, almost like Athena's dash in the first game. Slow cooker infusion is alright but you may not get many fire elements to increase your base damage power. Flammable coating is great and helps to melt through armored enemies. Burnt offering is pretty nice to increase you health (and magick) pool if you happen to get offered to sacrifice a useless boon.
Other helpful god boons: Pretty much anything that can help apply another curse to enemies. Demeter and Aphrodite are probably the best since theirs are easy to apply without much effort like frigid sprint, gale force, glamour gain, and passion dash. The other gods require secondary boons to get a curse or your attack/special needs to give the curse, you won't really ever be using your attack and your special is reserved for Poseidon.
Hammers: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like I remember in Hades I if you chose a specific hammer you would be locked out of other hammer choices that affect the benefitting move. If the same applies to this game avoid picking a hammer that affects your special for your first hammer if it is not double moonshot, and hope for it on your second hammer. The DPS from Momus staff is still great with spamming special without it (I won my run without it). You could also go ahead and pick up rapid moonfire or shimmering moonshot on your first one because they are pretty powerful too, and I also may be wrong about the hammer exclusion thing.
Keepsakes: So of course Poseidon first, always. Hestia second if you don't get her in your god pool Erebus. Up to you and what you like for Oceanus, maybe choose Demeter or Aphrodite. If I got Hestia I would generally use any one of the following:
Once in the mourning fields I would typically go with the Lion Fang, or possibly one of the above maybe. Lastly in Tartarus I would either use Knuckle Bones (if I felt comfortable with my health and death defiances), Luckier Tooth, or Evil Eye (if Chronos killed me last).
Sidenote: Is Echo bugged? Or is my game just messed up? I was never given the chance to give her a gift so I've never gotten her keepsake :(
Familiar Toula: Sorry Frinos, but Toula is just superior. She gives you an extra death defiance which when upgraded fully gives you 40 health on death. Also upgrading her attack lets her attack more times before she takes a little catnap (cute). She does 99 damage with each strike which is not insignificant. You don't need to go out of your way to sprint over her whenever she is resting to activate her, if she happens to be where you are running it is just some nice extra little bit of DPS. She has actually killed a few bosses for me in my runs lol.

The Winning Run

So all of this information is from finally beating 32 fear. I followed this strategy in my head for the most part. I ended up not getting double moonshot, but did get rapid moonfire. Poseidon offered me both prereqs for his legendary in the same choice without any rerolls left unfortunately, chose slip of course. I did get the duo boon and both of Hestia's cast boons which was nuts. Also I got rare crop right after I got Poseidon's special so it became heroic by the end. I also got offered to sacrifice rare crop after it became heroic by hestia to get more health, and I was then offered it again at epic rarity which increased 3 other of my boons which happened to hit Hestia's cast boons. I did not get any other way to apply another curse other than slip unfortunately as well. Started Tartarus with 2 or 3 death defiances + luckier tooth and beat Chronos on my last life. Overall though, not a perfect run but it still worked. Would have been even more nuts if I got the right hammer, legendary, and another curse effect

TL;DR

Momus Staff good. More special projectiles hammer + Poseidon special + legendary + Poseidon/Hestia duo = nuts DPS. Arcana cards important, vows are tough.

2024.05.14 08:21 Significant-Notice- The decline in labor’s share of national income

That is the topic of my latest Bloomberg column, here is one excerpt:
There is some bad news afoot for workers. Labor’s share of the US gross domestic product has been falling for a long time, by seven percentage points since World War II. The labor share for 2022 — depending on exactly which measure is used, it comes in at slightly more than 60% — is the lowest measured since 1929.
And it’s not just America. Globally, the labor share, which is the fraction of an economy’s output that goes to workers, has declined by six percentage points since 1980. The numbers suggest that the share of labor is declining in 13 of the 16 wealthiest countries in the world.
Note that is a share, and very often real wages still are rising. Still, why this regularity?
One possible explanation for labor’s declining share is simply that the cost of capital has been falling for decades in most countries. That development benefits capital income very directly: It’s cheaper to raise capital, which benefits workers only indirectly. Of course, with real interest rates higher recently, it will be possible to test whether the labor share of income will make a comeback. In any case, this stands as one of the most plausible hypotheses.
Globalization and automation are two other trends that may have made labor markets more competitive, at least as compared to capital markets. Yet it is not obvious why those forces would lower labor returns more than capital returns. Is labor more mobile internationally than capital? Even if you think US companies have benefited from buying cheap manufactured goods from China and then reselling them at the expense of US workers, that doesn’t explain why labor’s declining share has been so widespread across countries and decades. If globalization were the culprit, labor’s share should be rising in China and other major exporting countries — but the opposite is true.
There is much more at the link. And I do recommend this Karabarbounis piece from the latest JEP on these topics.

2024.05.14 08:15 fabulouslasvegasesco Diamond Reserve: The Future of Investment in the Digital Age

I’ve recently come across an intriguing investment opportunity called Diamond Reserve, and I think it could be a game-changer in how we view asset ownership. Here’s the scoop:
Diamond Reserve is pioneering the tokenization of high-end lab-grown diamonds. By doing so, they allow investors to purchase fractional ownership in these gems. Traditionally, investing in diamonds meant buying and storing entire stones, which isn’t practical for everyone. With Diamond Reserve, you can now own a fraction of a diamond’s value, opening up this asset class to a broader range of investors.
Why is this exciting?
This concept really caught my attention because it blends the enduring value of diamonds with the modern convenience of digital assets. It’s a fresh approach to preserving and growing wealth, especially in uncertain times.

2024.05.14 07:32 SidKop Narita express and Skyliner

Arriving in Narita tomorrow evening, and I read that the ticket counter shuts at 9pm (see below) ? We should arrive at 7pm, and guessing the Skyliner is the quickest option ( to Akihabara eventually) but just wanted to confirm the process at airport if the counter is shut?
"At the Information Center, which is open from 7am to 9pm, staff speak English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese. Here, you can exchange your e-voucher for an actual train ticket, purchase tickets and make reservations for your return trip (with a round-trip ticket), plus get the details needed to use wifi on the Skyliner."
Buy ticket on line
Get physical ticket from machine
Go to correct platform.
I’m assuming if the office is shut we can use QR code at a machine. And the trains run until 11?

2024.05.14 07:04 specktt Lease help!

Lease help!
I’m really having an abysmal experience with the process leading up to delivery. My R1S delivery was originally scheduled for tomorrow and now it is pushed out one day because the final lease agreement does not make any sense to me nor is my “guide” helpful at all. I ordered the R1S Quad Large with All terrain upgrade and color upgrade. I’m supposed to get the $7500 EV tax credit as well as the $7500 quad max promo as a capitalized cost reduction. I’ve asked my guide where I can find the quad max promo reflected and she told me “it’s just calculated into the monthly lease payment. There is no way to show you.” Not helpful. In looking at the paperwork, it looks like it can possibly show up in 9(a) but that section doesn’t make any sense either. Hard to decipher what’s included in 9(a). The only down payment I had made was $1000 applied from reservation. Shouldn’t that line show $8500 if the quad large credit is reflected there? Also I had already paid my Due at Lease Signing of $5,156.41 and don’t see this in the agreement at all. Leasing is new to me (usually finance to buy), and I think I understand finances to know that this is not making sense. Please tell me what I am seeing or should be seeing. Thanks!

2024.05.14 06:46 jazzeriah Why do people do this to me?

Today I had to pick one of my kids up from school early for a dentist appointment, so I had to sign in with the security desk, and the woman there always sees me and today was chatty and asked me if I’m the SAHP (I am) and how many kids I have and I told her I have three girls. Yep, you guessed it. She asked me if we were going to try for a boy.
I politely told her no and that we were done, my three were more than enough and I love my girls, etc., and she kept telling me we should try for a boy. Like why not, she said, we should just try for a boy because wouldn’t I want a boy? She kept at this. And talked about it like it was so easy, like just go buy a lottery ticket on the corner because why not?
Now I see this person a lot as this is my kids’ school, so I was nice about it and almost laughed it off, but Jesus fucking Christ why do people do this???
I’m exhausted. I’m always worn out. My hair has gone gray. Three kids (8/6/3) is more than enough and I have no energy reserves left. I don’t want a boy. I don’t want another kid! We have no help. I’m absolutely certain another kid would break us.
Rant over.

2024.05.14 05:53 UsedBumblebee5180 Points Question

Hello everyone I’m looking at booking the Waldorf Astoria los Cabos in December. When I go to book it the only way I can get seven nights of consistent standard room rewards is if I book in one reservation. Anytime I try to split it up. I see exorbitant rates.
I wanted to use a large chunk of points like 600,000 and a free nights certificate for seven nights. but I wanted for the points portion to qualify under the buy four nights get one free. Does anyone know if it’s possible to have one reservation with four points nights, the free 5th night, the sixth night with points and the seventh with a free night certificate? All under one reservation so that it works with the dates of the hotel.
Thank you!!

2024.05.14 05:35 WayneEnterpriseX I (26M) caught my girlfriend (23F) in a web-of-lies. What should I do?

I (26M) caught my girlfriend (23F) in a web-of-lies.
I'm extremely devasted and my mind is clouded as I write this, but I have caught my girlfriend (23F), with which we have been dating for 6 years in a web-of-lies 3 Times in our dating period.
She has left me in my lowest point.
In the beginning of our releationship I caught her deleting a messages on her Iphone. I then confronted her and she told me that she deleted those messages because I would get the wrong impression of them and would end the releationship. She told me that she was scared to lose me, as I'm jealous of other males, which in fact is true, but I think my feelings were right all along.
I forgot the content of the message.
I let it slide, since we were in the beginning of our releationship (Maybe 1-2 years into it) and I also wasn't faithful at that time. I have even shared this with her at some points of the releationship, as I'm honest. The thing is that she said that she loves me so much that she would never do such a thing to me.
Slowly - I let my guard down, as she was with me during very hard moments in my life, where she could have easily left. As I let my guard down - I started adoring her and the thought of other girls started to dissappear.
She was extremely sweet, innocent and loving. No matter what I did - she was always there for me to support me and was always on my side.
I started focusing more on work, we were seeing each other everyday and everything was flourishing, but I never stopped being envious when she came with me at a disco/bar with friends or where there were other males.
I always felt as she had an eye out for some of them and always felt like I didn't satisfy her completely, as she had previously made remarks about our sexual encounters, which were above regular.
I slowly started to trust her more, as she continiously gained my trust by her action. Meanwhile I was 100% focused on my businesses and success.
She was working in a kid's playground and selling cakes. I was always there and supporting her.
As my success progressed - we started to go out on world trips on the most beautiful places and fell deeply in love (or so I thought)
4 years had passed by. She was still good an innocent (or so I thought).
On the 4th year - I made a project that made me life-changing money. I took her in Dubai with my whole family and spent a fortune to please them. Unfortunately - she was not happy there, I felt like she didn't support me at that moment. She didn't care what I did, she didn't care about my success. She tells me 'This is your success, not mine' 'This is your money, not mine' I told her I want to buy a house for us and she said 'This will be your house'
I then fell into an emotional pit, because everything I do is to support my family and create one wit her.
I got extremely mad, this feeling didn't fade away. I wanted to end it with her, because she didn't acknowledge anything.
The summer was approaching, we got into a fight over something (I Think I caught her again) - We separated for a month, she started crying and was working the whole month. - I went on a vacation with friends, where I cheated on her (Only kissing) and started approaching other girls. But while doing all this - My girlfriend never left my mind, I was extremely sad that I ended it with her.
I opened up her Instagram Account and saw on her story how she is on vacation with two good girls from her work and one baby (She was lonely by the looks of it and extremely sad)
I got back from the vacation and started working things out with her, I took her on a vaction, we had a bonding there, but something didn't feel right... She seemed sad.
I started gambling on crypto futures... I lost 20% of my networth... I got extremely mad.
We went back in our country and then I took her on another trip. I bought her everything she wanted, I took her everywhere she wanted, I did everything to please her. My focus at that time was entirely on her.
She wanted to go in the casino - we went. I lost money, but gave her, since she wanted to stack an amount for a nose operation.
(Not because the nose was broken or something, but because she wanted to look better)
Business started getting bad, my income vanished.....
I started trading more in order to get back to my previous amounts...
I lost it almost all.. I had 1 reserve fund which was locked and I waited a couple of months to take the funds out. She was there with me even when I lost.
She finished her operation.
I got the reserve fund. I started trading, I made half the amount back. She wanted me to buy her a car - I did. I bought a land as well, on which I wanted to start building our house.
After all that - I lost all my funds again...
She had been constantly in a fight with her parents and wanted to move out.
I had one small income left - with all the funds I had, I rented an apartment for 6 months.
During those 6 months - I focused on working, but was losing due to my gambling habbit.
She got a new job. She started going out with friends. Sexual intercourse decreased by a lot.
I told her that I don't like her going out till 6 AM in the morning. This just isn't right with me, so I got suspicious.
I hacked her laptop... she saw a notification and rushed to the house... I was able to see a lot of things, but it appears - she was deleting evidence, so I asked her to give her phone. - She gave it to me.
Unfortunately - I knew how to see deleted messages on an Iphone. I saw only one message, the content was:
'Don't message me anywhere again.'
I got filled with rage and we had a fight. She was fighting with me to get her phone back. I gave it and told her I want to end it.
As he was a famous greek singer - I was able to analyze when he had concerts and saw that on those dates - she had been visitng those concerts...
3 Days later - we talked and worked it out.... I was madly in love with her at this point. She told me that she arranges stages for him. (It's related to her new job)
My gambling habits were in full force. I lost a lot of money and couldn't afford a rent of a high-cost, so I told her - Let's move out to my mother's place and in the next 1 year I will make sure that I succeed again. (My mother isn't living inside the house, but my brother is)
She agreed roughly. So we moved and I started working, but unfortunately - The money I felt I was making was not enough, not nearly enough to buy an aparatament or build our house. She was acting kind, innocent.
I went out on a birthday party and my friend created a circumstance, where I would sleep with a girl next to me. I knew she really liked me and hooked up. We were going to have intercourse, but as I did anything - my girlfriend was on my mind and I couldn't bring myself to do anything other than kisses... I just couldn't.
She started going out with friends again. She was going nightclubbing with them, but assurred me - she was doing it for her own fun.
She was meanwhile stacking money to get a boob-job done. - She did it, made her boobs bigger. She assurred me that she was doing it for her own fun.
6 months have passed. - I stopped gambling, but she told me that she doesn't like my house, doesn't like that I'm living with my brother and she doesn't see a future with me.
She told me she would leave and go in her cousin's apartament, but he doesn't want me there.
I told her that I want to break up with her, because she doesn't want to be with me at my lowest point. I told her that she probably wants to leave the house to go out nightclubbing and find someone better than me. She felt offended (Or so It seemed), but I think that was the truth. She told me that she wants to have kids with me, she loves me, etc.
The next day: She goes out of city without telling me anything about her location. At night: she goes in a nightclub with her friends + other males.
I ask her in 2 AM - 'Where are you right now'? She comes in and out of 'Online' status. and at 4 AM I notice a follower increase on her Instagram, she follows him back - I send her a video and ask who the f is that? She responds 'What do you want', 'This is an old friend', 'Stop being envious'
I get extremely angry and stop responding. The next day I check the live photos of the nightclub and pray to god to give me a sign that I'm not delusional and exactly the next photo - She is on the same table, with the same guy, with her friends and other males. She told me she was sleeping.
1 Day passes - she starts messaging me and sending me photos with the quote 'Let's promise we will never leave each other and fix everything when things go wrong.' 2 Day passes - she starts messaging me, so I show her that I don't want to talk with her. 3 Day passes - no one messages. 4th day she messages me: "Are we breaking up?" and I told her "Do you think I want to be with someone, who constantly lies to me, goes out nightclubbing and adds some r*tards in Instagram?" She told me - "First of all - I'm not lying about anyhing" Then I ask her - "Why have you added this person in 4 AM in the morning"? She replies: "I have had him for some time now, he is an old friend" I told her that I monitor her followers and know if he is old or new" I told her that she looks like trash in my eyes at this point and she got angry She told me she isn't obligated to tell me anything and she hasn't added him in 4 AM, she will not be repeating her self.
I ask her: - Can you tell me where were you at that time (The night that this happened) ? She tells me: - Like every night - at home. I sent her a photo of the live nightclub photo where she is with him, her friends and other male friends. I tell her 'I hope this is gives you an answer for everything' 'My girlfriend died a long time ago' She starts sending laughing emojis and says: "It's good, right?" "You killed her more likely and made her what she is today" I tell her "It's possible" She responds "As you can see - he is with his girlfriend, DON'T THINK WRONG THINGS OF ME" I told her: "Don't explain yourself" "This was my last question." She is now telling: "This is a driver of... and some time ago my friend hooked up with him, this is from where I added him, I haven't added him now" I told her: "I don't think anything of you." She responds "The last two years you have not thought of me anyway" WHICH IS NOT TRUE. I tell her "I wish you all the best, I hope you find what you are looking for" She responds "Me too, be happy" I respond "I have only one question left" "When did my girl die?" She reponds "You can always contact me if you need any help" I respond: "Thank you, but I don't think of searching for contacting you anymore" She asks: "Which is your girl?" I respond "The good girl that loved me and was always with me or was this just a product of my imagination? Be honest" She said: "Whatever you feel like" I respond "Okay, good night" Then I forward the message "You can always contact me for help" and I say: "I really loved you and will miss you" She reponds: "I will never stop loving you. There is no way to stop loving a person with which you have been in a releationship for 6 years" "Good night, I will not upset myself anymore" I ask her "Why would you do this to me?" She ask "What did I do to you?" I told her "It's pointless to say, I have a lot more information that on the photo" She says "We were in this town for a doctor checkup, after that we went to a nightclub and accidentially met them (The person and his male friends)" I ask her "Will you stop with the lying?" She says "I'm telling you" I respond "Good night"
Now my question is:
I'm a sucker for her love. Maybe I'm just in love with the old her. I have never loved any girl as much as I love her. I feel absolutely terrible. Maybe part of this was my fault. Maybe it was my fault that she became like this..
What do I do from here? I don't think I will ever love a person this way.. I wanted her to carry my children and raise a family with her.

2024.05.14 04:47 No-Manufacturer6101 New Hype? Rayhaan Elixir, DUA HAUL

New Hype? Rayhaan Elixir, DUA HAUL
https://preview.redd.it/xz24qp7k2b0d1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3cbc9761d45f4a13f67f881c4964e09e7b4d8af
Another great haul, i feel like ive gotten better at blind buying since all clones i buy are blind and i get the originals if they move me enough. I was about to buy a used bottle of Le male elixir last week when i saw rayhaan elixir drop and had to have it for that price. as usual I get a few Duas per month and about 1 montagne per month.
Rayhaan Elixir - Man its great the first thing i smelled funny enough is Le male DNA that almost sporty fresh fuck boi energy is still there but its got this fresh creamy lavender benzoin combo. its like fresh and creamy at the same time which is something i think many people love. you dont have to pick and choose when to wear this. office? yes date? yes. maybe not for super high heat outdoors but summer nights for sure. it dries down into a smooth honey tobacco-ish smell with the le male in the back. nothing niche about this and thats a good thing. most likely a compliment beast. this is a BANGER 8.9/10 only because it is a bit basic and i will say performance is just ok for now but i will reserve judgement on that. if it macerates into a 7 hour fragrance than i will not even think about buying the OG
Royal Chariots legendary Tux - Layton by Parfums de Marly, Percival by Parfums de Marly & Tuxedo by YSL - holy shit this is SOO nice. go watch gents scents video on this to get a real review, all i can say is its surprisingly fresh? its got this floral fresh apple from layton and a bit of powdery amber and woods, with a bit of spice. its like the best parts of all 3 mixed together like a designer house made it. gotta say im a bit blown away by this one. performance is great as all duas are but since its pretty fresh its actually not cloying at all and could be a year round signature. it smells better than Rayhaan elixir hate to say LOL. but they do both have that fresh/dark blend similarity there is just more going on here. and this one is a bit more sexy as well 9.6/10
Poseidons desire II - Aventus by Creed & Cruz del Sur II by Xerjoff - daaaamn you get that super fresh aventus at first, your brain just accepts that its aventus but ive never smelled duas version of aventus but ive smelled almost all the others. this one is amazing. much less smokey and harsh than armaf LE, more fresh as well reminds me of aventus cologne, and then you realize you are smelling both mango flesh and pineaple, who knew they went so well together? im so glad it didnt get rid of the aventus in favor of just tropical fruits. its a high quality aventus with a creamy twist and a realistic fresh mango mixed with the pineaple. what more do yo want? oh yeah it lasts forever on your skin. 9.2/10 just because i would feel stupid rating it higher. montagne pineaple fraishe is better but its probably the best scent ive ever smelled so its in good company. not quite as high quality as the OG and montagne but blows the cheap clones out of the water with how smooth and high end it smells.
The rise of adonis - Adonis Awakens by Argos - Grapefruit, Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Bulgarian Rose, Raspberry, Vanilla, Jasmine Sambac, Chestnut, Cashmere Wood, & Mysore Sandalwood - I included the notes here because as i read them i can smell almost each of them - and yes its well blended. but damn this is nice. the rose worried me but its earthy rose not floral rose, it mixes perfectly with the pink pepper spice and grapefruit into this SEXY slightly spicy male floral scent with amazing performance. big time date night vibes, its exotic smelling with a bit of the chestnut, woods and jasmin in the back. chefs kiss. not cloying but not for the high heat either. this makes me want the original 9/10 this is by far the sexiest one so far women would love this im sure. (im lonely)
Dionysus - Triumph of Bacchus by Argos - Rum, Green Apple, Saffron, White Peach, Tonka Bean, Patchouli, Vetiver, Jasmine, Vanilla, Tobacco, Amber, Sandalwood, and Musk. - damn this is a fruity rum with that bit of saffron spice mixed with that leather and amber and sandalwood make another banger. its like herod by PDM mixed with sweet fruit and booze. a bit of powderyness , i will say the sweet note is a bit strong im hoping it blends more as it ages which they almost always do. but performance is big and its not quite as sexy as the others this one is more of an at home fireplace netflix vibe and the least summer one here. not really for the office /either. Id say fall the most which would make this the least versitile of all of these but damn it smells good 8.4/10.

2024.05.14 04:03 albert1165 Why VFS increased hugely today

Why VFS increased hugely today
Many of you not in finance look with disbelief that why VFS jumped 50% today. Well, let’s someone with deep finance and stock knowledge to explain the reason for you, that even some on Wall Street (Motley, Al Root) are clueless.
1/ No institutional buyers are interested in Vinfast, so any big buy is Vuong Pham’s pulling. This is a very simple logic and it is so true. Institutions buy on fundamentals, not rumors. And as I have explained many times, retail investors are followers, they need big money to make a lead. Individual buyers won't pull stock up big.
Vuong Pham pulled a mini short squeeze, like the mini squeeze that he did on 11/30/2023: pulling to $9.3 form $7.5 (24%) on 19.4M volume, or +52% from $6.1 three sessions earlier. This past event on 11/30/2023 was a short squeeze by Vuong Pham on the Vuong Pham’s India visit rumor (the photo with Adani), and it was beyond doubt now that Vuong Pham engineered it on 11/30/2023. After that, VFS drifted to $2.5. No difference this time.
2/ With low volume, and low float, it is easy to pull it up without much money. I hae said this a thousand times in this sub.
Today volume is 14.6M shares. At around $4, it is only about $60M for the day. In contrast, on 11/30/2023, 19.4M shares at around $8.5-9 is $170M. A third. So a 50% pull today is even easier than in the past! due to the low price. Still no interest.
I have said this so many times: do not be surprise if Vuong Pham pull it up 10-20% / day (50% this time), because of the low float and low volume. He does not need much money to do that.
So don’t just look at the price, look at the volume as well.
3/ Short increased to 7.2M shares from 5.6M shares in the last 2 weeks of April:
https://preview.redd.it/uc92f8gpta0d1.png?width=1163&format=png&auto=webp&s=17db468c4c66c604c755bf821813e30a9e96baae
So Vuong Pham is pulling a mini short squeeze here, compared to the squeeze he engineered when there were 9M shares shorted.
4/ Not all of 14.6M shares are short covering. Vuong Pham is dumping as well. After all, he needs money to pay huge debt due come end of June.
I estimated about 2M shares short covering plus left hand to right intraday day trading of 60% of the volume. The actual dump by Vuong Pham might be about 6-7M shares out of 14.6M shares and he net about $28M from the game. Tiny amount.
5/ Clueless Motley Fool as usual say the rise is due to Sony Ridevu (wtf) and Biden’s tarrif. Here is the fact: the Chinese has not yet entered the US market and Vinfast sold only about 300 cars in the last year, about 130 cars each month this year.

No Chinese EVs currently in the US market. So it is not like the Biden tariff will remove the Chinese EVs from the US market and help Vinfast. The Biden tariff does not make Vinfast more competitive. It still has to compete with Kia, Hyundai, Tesla, Rivian as usual. So the Motley Fools are fools as usual.
The Biden tariff as an excuse for the pump is dumb but expect to hear pumpers (Chardan, Dan Ives, Cantor, BTIG) talking about it as if it is a valid reason.
6/ Al Root at Barrons is also clueless this time: VinFast Stock Soars 50%. Here’s What Is Going On. - Barron's (barrons.com) He had no idea. He missed the VF3 news in Vietnam. This sub is still the best place for news on Vinfast.
7/ The most plausible explanation is that Vuong Pham does a pull on the back of the rumor of VF3’s reservation in Vietnam, see my analysis: Let’s crunch the numbers on VF3 : It is a rumor game for Vuong Pham, like I always say. Here: The rumor game : Both the mini short squeezes are based on rumor.
With that VF3 rumor, he seems confident to do a pump and then a dump. He might come out with a follow up PR on how many VF3 has been reserved.
8/ Like the past, VFS run from $20 to $93 or $5 to $9 in a week or two, only to drop sharply after.
Two precedents, not just one.
There will be no difference this time. After a few day of pump, creating FOMO on the rumor, Vuong Pham will resume the dump. Because he needs the cash to pay off Vinfast debt. 100% sure. In Vietnam, he is dumping VIC / VHM like no tomorrow.
He is pulling VFS to dump VIC / VHM further.
This is the corner stone: Vinfast is on $9.3B debt, he needs $1.6B debt service each quarter, and he needs to dump. As in Vietnam, he needs to pull it up for the dump. He pulls it up to draw the TA charts, duping clueless retail traders/ investors.
This is not a sustainable buy by big institutional investors.
So there, the truth behind the events for those of you not in finance.
You are wondering why VFS went up 50%. Is there something? Nope. VF3 won’t change Vinfast’s outlook significantly, just a pump game. The financial of Vinfast is still the same as yesterday. And remember, when VF3 are delivered in 4Q 2024, the financial numbers will be worse by then, debt will surely be over $10B.
Vinfans can have silly jokes as they had in the past, when VFS was at $80-90 or when Vuong Pham's networth is $70B. They can have some short joys duping clueless retail people.
The truth will have the last laugh.

2024.05.14 03:49 ProtoSpaceTime Help confirm I understand USFR (and its underlying FRNs) before using it to replace my HYSA

I've been doing a lot of reading about USFR, both on this sub (special thank you to u/Kashmir79 and his many posts/comments about it!) and elsewhere. Before I move my cash reserves into it, I want to ensure I understand it. I've been a 100% equity investor in the past and am not super familiar with bond funds. Can anyone confirm whether my descriptions of FRNs and USFR below are correct or incorrect? Any big omissions? Thanks!
Treasury Floating Rate Notes:
USFR:
Pros of USFR:
Cons of USFR:
Is this all correct? Anything crucial missing? Thanks!
