Beacon is refusing to give me access to an accommodation that I need while I stay here over the summer

2024.05.15 05:34 Allergic2Kats Beacon is refusing to give me access to an accommodation that I need while I stay here over the summer

Just venting and asking for advice here...
USF housing at Beacon is refusing to give me the automatic door opener that I need for my dorm. I am in a wheelchair and need the automatic door opener to get in and out of my room safely. Their first excuse was that it would take too long to install so it wasn't an immediate fix. Their second excuse was that since I was only going to be here for 3 months it wasn't worth the time. Their third excuse was that the person who moves into this ADA room after me might not need the button so therefore, in their mind it's not worth installing it to meet my needs.
I was misinformed by USF housing that my ADA Room would come automatically equipped with an automatic door opener for my room. So to come here and not only find that it doesn't have it but that they're essentially refusing to give me access to one is extremely frustrating. Especially since they're making it out to be like my right to accommodations and needs are a burden to them. They're basically saying they don't want to install the automatic door opener since I'm only going to be here for a few months. I understand that it's not an immediate fix and that it's a process but it's still one that's necessary for my ability to function.
Does anybody know of anything I can do or anyone I can talk to about this? It really does seem like they're leaning toward an ADA violation by refusing to accommodate me but every person that I've talked to has essentially brushed me off.
They offered to let me move into Holly A but that was after I had already arrived and unpacked all of my stuff at Beacon. As someone in a wheelchair, I physically cannot pack up and just move again. Even trying to get into Beacon was a process that took two days. I just got here, I can't pack up and move again.
They're saying the ground floor unit at Holly A that they're offering me has the tap card access for ADA and that's why they keep trying to push me to move there.
If they had offered me that as an option sooner, before I moved in, I would have gladly taken it. But alas now it's too late and it almost seems kind of laughably ridiculous.
It really just seems like they're treating me like a burden because they don't want to go through the process of installing the tap card. But realistically if it's an ADA room all ADA rooms should be equipped with an automatic door for wheelchair users.
I'm just really frustrated about their blatant refusal to install it when it's an option. They basically are saying they won't do it just because I'm only going to be here for 3 months. They're making me feel like a massive burden. Especially since they said "the person who moves in after me might not need it so it's not worth it to install it."
Is that not at the very least some kind of fire code violation?
God, I wish I had just taken over someone's off campus lease for the summer. 😭

2024.05.15 05:20 KimberStormer There's so much stuff! It makes me so happy.

I just discovered the feature on SplatNet 3 where you can see what team your friends have picked for Splatfest, and more interestingly, that you can indicate what you might want to pick, so that all your friends can see where you're leaning and you could coordinate a choice that way if you want. I just love how much "extra stuff" there is in SplatNet 3. There's rewards for exploring Alterna, for reconfiguring Palettes, for sponsoring the Wandercrust, and all these things have cute little text bits as well. There's an amazing amount of fun stats to look at -- how many boss Salmonids you've killed, your win rate in each mode on each map, number of wins per weapon, etc etc. There's QR code rewards (granted, not as many as I'd like!) You can flip through the catalog, you can see your past Side Order runs, you can look at the Splashtag of everyone in the games you've played in recently, and of course you can order gear from Annie.
And that's just SplatNet, the whole game is like that, with lockers, Tableturf, Salmon Run (and Big Run, and Eggstra Work), Splashtag badges and titles, wacky Challenges, plaza drawings, putting together outfits, photo mode, watching replays with so many angles to choose from, so much stuff. I feel like I'll never use it all up; I keep finding new things, like upgrading Tableturf cards to be holographic for no reason, or that Sheldon has a different practice area than the lobby, or the battle graphs...it just makes me happy, idk.

2024.05.15 05:16 HappySoulfulDaffy OPSec question : Credit cards on SA

Are there any good alternatives to going out to buy prepaid credit cards with cash to use on SA ? It’s a pain to have to do this every month and they need my Id anyway so I’m not sure how much this contributes to opsec. I suppose the only advantage is not showing up on my cc statements so S/O doesn’t see them. But I could just go get a CC from another bank for that which she doesn’t know about. So do other SDs bother with this at all?

2024.05.15 04:29 EccentricSage81 usb4 type C worse than cheap usb ethernet lan landline1900s phones? (rj11/45/cat8e whatevs)

Ethernet has landline 1900s phones two pairs wires reserved in the spec sheet its 8 or so wires when crimping the ends uses like two with one for ground and one seemingly empty and then has two for phone and some unused, with old 10/100 baseT coax with terminating ends exactly like optical or coax 90s cable TV with optical fiber 99% of the way just your block has coax to the rest which uses the 'same'DOCSIS data over cable standards as fibre optic.. just slightly worse latency and bandwidth is calculated by latency things like wifi lan has like 11 channels or 15 channels of frequency which optical calls wavelengths of light. A 2015 or around there linus tech tips video of him going to a swedish lan party called dreamhack had a bunch of multiple redundant 8Terabit or was it bytes of fibre optic internet they explained with light having 7 colors but having 8terabytes of bandwidth with different wavelengths of light called frequencys or a better term for optics is known as LASER ARRAYS of light at fixed frequencys that often plugs into the PC via ethernet cables or whatever for a gamer lan party or home/residential or small businesses at realistically within budget of anything with enough users to require that bandwidth or 'web hosting or web servers' you dont need to be an undersea cable or international link with 200terabits plus for an internet exchange to your main CBD or the fastest like the netherlands IX...
So the problem im trying to solve is, here in australia we got our undersea cables done wrong they kept breaking and we didnt have a navy or defense force securing our countrys communications to prevent war crimes and keep us connected to the global banking systems or whatever.. and then when our biggest telcos cable or fibre all had dialup speeds for around 2 weeks in the early years 2000s to force us to pay other countrys to connect to their links and be ' end of the line' maybe paywalled or proxied off the internet randsomewared to connect to and borrow bandwidth from other countries satellites and other countries undersea link cables which truly were indestructible to any cruise liner ships anchors whatever being flexible giant steel braided cables big as a CAR when australia finally paid to lay small sections of that stuff to link up to others and not pay randsome to internet butt bandits or have private businesses and multi nationals run their own links and ignore the public our lack of a defense force actually let somalian pirates literally somehow pick up and walk off with our expensive undersea car sized cables filled with a few arms thick of hair thin fibre optics which is cheapest clear resin enamels plastics about $3 not sure if USD per kilometer and resembles modern glass/glazing. How does anybody steal that stuff without people noticing like you cant just load it onto a truck and drive away? or a boat? if only satellites and some sort of defense organization existed to prevent us from being impersonated or whatever.. So now in australia ANYTHING with words like gigabit costs a fortune for a mainboard or switch or ethernet hub.. but the ancient 1900s 10/100 telephone land line wires of ethernet 10/100 clock in at a whopping 13 or so mhz sometimes 27.. and 60 or more mhz for like gigabits and whatever it increases shockingly fast with each mhz clock cycle as its units of work over time in nano seconds or zeptoseconds you see billionths of a second nano second RAM and PC with windows realtime kernel actually uses like ryzen hardware negative latency faster than reality freely syncing with any device in the universe and fixed mhz frequency bus can drive like 50 to 100 or thousands of GPU's and HDDs and monitors or whatever from the one modern multicore PC or whatever.. 90s AMD business server still holds world records for most connected devices though it had stackable CPUs opteron and would have used infinity cache type stuff probably software 3dnow and evolving game worlds tech of 80s and 90s AMD gaming evolved advertising.
So in australia anything gigabits costs hundreds of dollars for a switch router some thousands for lots of ports.. but its the shittiest weakest bandwidth ever with mhz and performance miles short of a raspberry pie or whatever. I had to pay a fortune for a mainboard with 10gigabit LAN port and everytime i got a high speed LAN port its been broken or missing so some pricks can sell ebay routers or switches for thousands here.. not knowing why its so expensive is youre paying fortunes for any real bandwidth because australia has to pay literal somalian pirates for their internet connections or privately owned businesses like telstra for access to their private links and glares at countries like new zealand and hawaii for being super technologically superior.. a cheap USB ethernet adaptor costs under 10 bucks on ebay or whatever and is maybe gigabit and your switches and routers 90% of the time you want the cheapest UNMANAGED switch possible. Yet the mainboard i recently purchased ASUS pro art creator x670E i recall had an issue with some asshats trying to steal pathetic measly 40gigabit USB4 chips from all the boards at the computer store to sell on EBay as other junk, when anything in the universe with an M.2 ULTRA slot does 40gigabits since PCI express 3.0/4.0 as PCI express 3.0 SSD drives famously use a specific I/O controller chip which gives them 38gigabits of the ultra M.2 slots 40gigabits of bandwidth. But for a couple years when AMD had pci express 4.0 and better than M.2 ultra intel was playing catch up on PCI express 3.0 and still had regular m.2 in all their boards until AMD was ready for pci express 5.0 my friend on intel bought the same NVME drives and complained they had corruption errors or issues i later learned his board wasnt fast enough and he was maybe trying to use the samsung magician RAM disk and enable NVME features and functions intel maybe did not yet support.
So.. why is USB 4 so many years late and why is it so dang expensive when terabits of ethernet or anything optical is like the cheapest stuff ever and comes with every internet connection since the 90s at the lowest cheapest mhz and 1900s land line wire telephones ever, remember digital isnt a physical thing and everythings literally analog with a sensor or multimeter whatever mathematically translating it to a graph or algebra equation mapping it into different values digitally +10 -10 whatever using microphones or camera sensor whatever. the gigabits tax and uhh LAN port taxes for dumb gay australians being literally see it via satellite outerspace levels dumb and gay astrogaylian should not apply to the cheapest of raspberry pie free 3d print or laser CNC yourself something computery like risc V for the cheapest of USB flash drives or memory cards etc.
I get intel pretends to have invented court ordered USB to probe their hardware after it was proven to have used other peoples code and chips by the chip makers and them selling computers with keyboard and mouse hardwired in so you bought a whole new computer when a key broke on the keyboard couldnt replace them.. and every other device had USB but theirs didnt free open standard and it kinda being the only way to connect any device in the universe and freely sync with it (mics/phones whatever).
why is 1900s phone tech ethernet so dang expensive to go from 20mhz ranges to 80 or whatever mhz ranges or use something very similar to 90s optical audio SPDIF output or anything remotely like a laser in australia? and who would be dumb and gay enough to be so financially retarded as to think that USB 4 was expensive or special as to steal it? am i... missing something?
also before you complain, but ethernets not the same as USB you cant power over ethernet or use your houses electrical wires as ethernet. You also cant use ethernet for monitors or displays, and its not like you can extend HDMI range limit of a about 10 to 15 meters by swapping its ethernet wires with optical ones for it to maintain its HDMI 0 latency spec or type C USB 0 latency spec. USB lets you connect heaps of devices you cant do that with an internet or ethernet for things like keyboard and mice or monitors or whatever. I understand what you mean power over ethernet or PPOE standards suck theres no way those are a thing. using devices over the internet and not the intranet who does that? thats so dumb. remote administration, theres no such thing youre mistaking malware or rootkits im sure. you cant connect a heap of devices up or entire computers to a ethernet port thats the dumbest gayest thing i've ever heard in my entire life! My gaydar is going off and it looks like the wifi symbol.
when trying to use anything ethernet with lame awful bandwidth thats limited, on my AMD board where the website images show AMD ethernet lists as marvel yukon controller i cannot use as its maybe broken there no light on the back, in devices managers advanced tab you can see the send receive or transmit buffer sizes and countless other ethernet settings are MISSING or a blank space. and are limited to 128 on send and 256 on receive up to 4096 or whatever max. But low latency 128 or 256 is maybe best but not all are an option and most networking features on the intel LAN adapters are missing countless advanced ethernet properties and settings because they're fake and lousy and the worst latency ever and they literally seem to swap your windows kernel out with something not realtime so you cannot ever hope to record or playback audio or video or anything close to a video game in hopes of slowly selling it back to you. Linux distros did this too its the dumbest thing ever that to hear or record or playback or play games you must patch in a realtime kernel for free to game like its the 80s and 90s or DOS or whatever. most 90s PCs were CAS 1 or lower nanoseconds. DDR 3 1600mhz depending the maker might be CAS1-4 latency. How can we verify our kernels are correct? and our ethernet and I/O bandwidth is correct? the youtube video about linus tech tips dream hack lan party of gamers in sweden was edited and reuploaded by illiterate asshat buttpirates maybe from somalia or the ones randsoming us some of their internet connections as a proxy piggy back on the international links as we dont have a defense force or army or whatever and dont know what war crimes are or why they are or what the heck a bank is and sure as shit dont know the cost of anything cheap USB or LAN. The dreamhack linus video falsely shows as 6TERABIT. they wanna steal 2TERABITS of EVERY optical or ethernet devices which isnt the government doing it if they wanna see whats in your computer they can document their reasons of why which is what a warrant is they dont need one if they believe a crime is occuring and literally take the computer by law to inspect it then give it back when nothings wrong they leave you a claim ticket and have you document it at the nearest policing station or whatever fill out forms sign 'they are taking my PC and i can get it back when it wasnt used for crimes." when australia doesnt technically have an internet and doesnt technically have RAID arrays which is required to use USB or SSD or NVME or storage tech with no moving parts and multicore a 2TB SSD is twice as fast and often has 2x 1TB wafer chips in there figure it out the IO controller chip supports many and you can buy the cheapest USB sticks with like 16terabytes of storage space i just see a $extend folder or uhh file format header thingy in the partition in my mainboard bios on that particular drive and using any cheap SSD or USB devices makes linux cry about the partition managers cant write or read extending past the storage limit. it doesnt take a genius to figure out what dumb gay fags the whole internet is.

2024.05.15 04:27 Becoming_Careless Frustrating Experience with DeWalt Repair

This is just me venting. Many years ago, I built control panels for a living and used and loved my DeWalt tools. Had a power drill for years with no problem. Loved the wrenches and sockets I had. I used DeWalt tape measure, knives, some of the pliers, side cutters, nut drivers, tool boxes....and loved most all of them.
I went away for a few years to work on my poetry and just got back into panel building about 10 months ago. All the field guys love the red brand that begins with "M", but I remembered how great my DeWalt tools were, so I went and picked up some new tools for my job. I looked around and read some posts and heard people talk about how DeWalt quality has gone down, but I never had any problems with any of the tools I had, so I decided to remain loyal and go team yellow.
The first thing I got was the DCD791 cordless drill for like $150 at Home Depot. Then I got more tools, like a utility knife, tape, needle nose etc.. First thing I noticed was after a few months, the blade didn't like to push out on my folding utility knife. It got so bad, I went back and bought a different style, and put the folding one in a drawer. Then last month, the drill quit working. I was having problems with the keyless chuck and finally it would just rattle and not even drill. I went online to see what kind warranty it had. The site said 1 year service and 3 year limited warranty. I contacted them and they asked some questions about the drill and wanted some of the numbers off of it, which I provided.
The lady said that she would email me a UPS label to mail in my drill. That the repair place would look at it and if it was a factory default, they would fix it free. If it was misuse, they would tell me how much it would cost and I could decide if I wanted it fixed or not. If not, I would have to pay shipping to get it back. They asked for a credit card number and I provided one. I printed out the label and mailed my drill to them.
Because I needed a drill for work, I went and bought one for $100 from Home Depot. I didn't really want to do this, but I needed a drill. I thought maybe I could just return it when they fixed the other one
They emailed me a repair order with my information and a link to log in. When I logged in, I noticed it said $92 for the repair, even though they hadn't even received my drill yet. I figured this was just the way the repair orders were written up. A couple weeks go by and I get an email saying they have my drill. Another week and they email to say it was repaired and would be shipped back to me. A few days later they charge my credit card $106. I call the number and she says, the warranty is only a year long and the date code is 2 years old; that if I have my receipt to prove i bought it less than a year ago, I could send a copy and try to get a refund.
Of course, I can't find my receipt. Probably because I never had a problem with a DeWalt tool and didn't think I would need it. I know that is my fault, but this whole thing seems crappy. I spent $150 on the drill, another $100 for the repair and another $100 for a drill in the meantime. If I knew it was going to be $100 to fix it, I would have said No. I bought a brand new drill for $100. Why didnt they tell me that the repair was out of warranty and give me the option of refusing it? It seems like if they made a quality product, then customer service for repairs should be smooth and painless because repairs don't happen often. Instead, it seems like they know their products are going to break, so they make it difficult for you, thinking you will just go buy a new drill (which I did anyway). They should be able to take the drill apart and see that it was a manufacturer problem and just replace it. Making me jump through all these hoops just to charge for the repair, PLUS tax, PLUS shipping is just shitty.
I ignored the haters and stuck with them out of loyalty, and I feel like they shit on me. I take care on my tools. I put my drill back in the case after I used it every time. I see field guys just throw their red and blue drills around and drop them in dirt and the things last forever. I just feel slighted about the whole thing. The tools used to be just awesome. What the hell happened? I am not ready to abandon ship just yet, but I am wondering if I am doing the right thing. If the new drill I got or the fixed one they send back breaks in less than a year, I am probably going to shift to something else. Anyway, thanks for listening.

I’m a Digital Nomad from the US living in Colombia. Therefore, I am a foreigner
an immigrant
for the love of god, I am not an “ExPat.” Please stop using that word (Yes, I’m referring to you
White Americans and Europeans). We are immigrants in this beautiful country.
Anyway, I’ve been here for a year and I decided to try out Virgin Mobile. Virgin Mobile Colombia uses Movistar towers and has great deals. I didn’t see much about this on Reddit, so I’m here posting about my experience.
Virgin Mobile Colombia:
I purchased a 30 day plan in Falabella (sort of like the Target/Macy’s of Colombia w/an electronics section). The process was extremely quick and had zero hiccups. You’ll just need your Passport. They accept credit card.
I paid 20,000 COP ($5.15) for 40 gb of data, unlimited WhatsApp/Facebook. Free Tinder Gold for a month.
What I didn’t know was the speed is LTE only. So you’ll get a range of 20-40 Mbps.
Overall, I don’t think it’s a bad deal if someone just needs it for calls and basic internet.
Claro Prepago (Prepaid)
When you buy a prepaid plan with them, there’s two types with unlimited social media and without.
I found that either plan you buy, they tend to match that Gb amount as a gift (ie: buy 12 gb, get 12 gb additional for free, 24 total)
With that said, I buy the plan for 31,500 ($8) and it gets me 30gb with 30 gb free, 60 gb total. You can reload at Gana (cash only), Éxito (accepts credit card), and Claro locations, but beware some Claro locations have a “Cash only” policy.
Claro has 5G and has worked for me in Barranquilla, Bogota, Medellin, and Pasto with zero issue. The internet is extremely fast.
A friendly reminder you’ll sometimes need to register with your passport at specific Claro locations. They register your passport, IMEI, and SIM card.
Virgin and Claro only provide physical SIM cards. Claro will give an eSIM if you have a CĂ©dula.
I hope this was helpful. What are your experiences with WOM, Movistar, and Tigo?
Overall, I would pick Claro since I can use it as a hotspot for work.

2024.05.15 04:04 ThisIsMyBurnerCell Inflight Offer

Throw down acct.
Applied for Quest card on the Inflight offer page. Had a United representative’s code(friend of a friend) for bonus 5K miles after approval. Been past the 6-8 weeks.
Should I bother trying to call United to get the extra points? A) I don’t want to get shut out from MileagePlus and lose the whole signup bonus. B)I don’t want to burn the United rep.
Or does United kinda look the other way on these and they’ll just give me the extra?

2024.05.15 03:45 Eastern_Joke_7675 FYI Series: How to have a strong Start in your my faction Journey.

This FYI will focus on giving you a strong start in my faction, Apart from Live events and Towers, your two main issues at the start will be Proving Grounds (PG) and Faction Wars (FW).
I will discuss faction wars later in the article as some of the strongest cards in the game, even at present, are located there. But to have an easier time in faction wars you will need good card to begin with. So hers how to get a head start on some great Sapphire and Ruby Cards.
In regards to your starter pack choose whatever you prefer, you will receive emerald evo cards which, by meeting specific requirements will evolve gem levels eventually reaching Ruby 80 overall. I tend to go for Strikers as they are easier to meet the requirements and MFP match actions for PG, Lives and Towers.
MyRise and Showcase:
Completion of these modes unlock various my faction cards and some of them are very strong.
Cheesing Myrise and Showcase: If you just want to blast through the modes, set it to easy and go to balancing, then turn everything in your favour, reversals, kick outs, health and regarding submission, change it so the AI is punished for wrong button presses, you not so and correct button presses are strong for you and weak for AI, you will be submitting people in seconds unless the match has objectives or stipulations to meet first. Is it scummy? Yes. Does it matter? No.
I would recommend showcase first, this can be laborious as you cant just win it but have to complete all objectives, again the difficultly adjustment will help but the part that rewards you is the end. It involves you taking part as the first entrant in a 30 man battle royale, to meet all objectives to unlock the showcase cards you need to survive and also eliminate 10 individuals during the run. Choose your wrestler wisely! Someone whos strong can reverse but can survive!
For completing Showcase Royale Rumble with 10 eliminations and winning you receive the following my faction cards which in my opinion are the best starting cards in the game prior to the FW bosses:
My Rise is split into two Story's One male (Undisputed), one female (Unleashed), the female is linear and requires only one playthrough as long as you do all optional objectives to get nearly all of the cards. Unleashed provides far more cards and far better cards:
Unleashed will provide the following My Faction Cards:
The Male undisputed story will require completing the story twice and completing all optional objectives also, the main branch is during a choice to stay with Miz or go to NXT. The undisputed cards you unlock are as follows:
LOCKER CODES:
Check which locker codes are active and enter them. Some expire, they provide free packs and cards, free agent cards can be scrapped for MFP, DO NOT ASSIGN THEM! Find recent locker code links here, also this is a great resource.
WWE 2K24 Locker Codes List for MyFACTION (May 2024) WWE 2K24 Coverage (thesmackdownhotel.com)
FW Bosses:
This section will be quick as I may do a whole FYI article on Faction wars and the best cards and why but my list in order are as follows:
Best Males:
  1. Stone Cold Steve Austin
  2. Rock (either, same stats and badges if not Cena will suffice the one that matches)
After this its your choice, another rock or Cena couldn't hurt, YOKO and Andre where beast but the stamina nerf has affected them. Undertaker has terrible badges for his class but his super finisher is a submission and coupled with his space invader badge he can make submitting foes easy. I am not the biggest fan of Cody card but he's okay,
Your 4th card for the line up should be your showcase Shaun Michaels, TRUST ME!
Honorable Mentions:
The FW Sapphire Roman, Bobby, 78 Cena and Randy can be good.
Females:
  1. TRISH STRATUS WITHOUT A DOUBT. OP, still one of the best female cards.
  2. Bailey - Trust me her badges, she stuns easy and her stuns drain enemy special and finisher.
  3. Either Charlotte 84 or the Becky 84 but go for charlotte, quicker limb attacks, on a stun bar can do three leg attacks, Becky does one! Furthermore, she has purple space invader meaning her subs are stronger.
Honorable mentions:
FW Sapphire Trish Stratus, Asuka, Chyna.
My starting line up after a while was this:
Males: Stone Cold, Rock, Rock, Shaun Michaels Showcase
Females: Trish, Bailey, Charlotte 84, Becky (84) (But Bianca, Becky or rhea form showcase are good also!).
I hope this is useful and Sub please chime in with your own advice. The more discourse the better. And again to the new players! Welcome!

2024.05.15 03:36 Big_Afternoon7745 Passed ITIL 4 Foundations with a 32/40 today! Resources, tips, and thoughts.

Hey everyone,
I'd like to share that I passed the ITIL 4 Foundations exam today with a 32/40. I have no former experience, and I had absolutely no idea what service management was prior to starting this certification. I took this through WGU, as obtaining the ITIL certification is a requirement for most, if not all, IT programs. Here are the resources I used, some tips, and my overall thoughts on this certification:
Resources:
I watched the Value Insights exam prep course multiple times, and created multiple Quizlet sets that correspond to exam objectives (Key-Concepts and Definitions, The 4 Dimensions, etc).
Key-Concepts and Definitions
The 4 Dimensions
The Service Value System
The Guiding Principles
The Service Value Chain
The Most Important Practices
Other Examinable Practices
For exam practice, I watched the Value Insights exam practice series, which there are five videos. I also practiced using Jason Dion's practice exams. Since I took this through WGU, the Jason Dion practice exams were free (technically not since it's covered by tuition). Here are the links to the videos/content:
Jason Dion's Practice Exams
Value Insights Mock Exam Questions
Tips:
For the Quizlets, I recommend obtaining mastery on all terms and concepts if you want to be super safe. I didn't personally do this, but I think it could have helped. There are also some concepts that sound relatively similar. For example, "start where you are" (guiding principle) and "where are we now" (continual improvement) sound alike, but the concept of reusing existing resources whenever possible doesn't apply to "where are we now." Don't let stuff like this trip you up, especially when it's really easy to confuse one with the other, it happened to me a few times during the practice exams.
For the practice exams, the lowest I scored was a 72% and the highest was a 92%. I'd say just consistently study the Quizlets, and once you feel comfortable enough, attempt the practice exam to see where you land and study any areas you need improvement on. Try shooting for an 80-85% on the exams. There are some concepts in the Jason Dion exams that are not covered in the Value Insights material. I personally did fine without studying those concepts, but it can't hurt to do it.
During the exam, review your answers before you submit. This method has been crucial to my success in multiple exams, especially in Project+. There have been questions where I either realized my answer was incorrect after a second thought, or I misunderstood what the question was asking.
Thoughts:
Honestly, this wasn't too bad. I only spent a week on this certification, and I probably could have finished it sooner since I procrastinated at times. The exam itself wasn't bad. Sure there were moments where I had to give some questions a second thought and I wasn't sure what a specific question was asking, but that's something you'll see in a lot of exams anyways.
Good luck if you're are/will be studying for this cert! If anyone has questions, please let me know!

2024.05.15 03:12 Flaky_Lavishness2847 USCIS mistake- Chicago Field Office

Long story short: if you do not have a USCIS online portal account
. MAKE ONE. We could’ve had our green cards MONTHS ago.
I, US Citizen, filed I-130 for my parents and I-485 in July 2021 after turning 21. In the beginning, our cases were going as planned, however we never sent medical forms with I-485 (our lawyer advised us not to- we have now learned how detrimental that has been to our processing time and we are aware our lawyer gave us terrible advice). My parents checked case statuses using their receipt numbers on the main USCIS page and never made an account because we had always received all RFE and additional notices through the mail and didn’t think we needed one. Our I-130 got approved 2 years later on 08/2023 and after waiting a few months with no updates on I-485 (we were waiting for medical form RFE), I decided to seek congressional help in November of 2023. They told us on 11/17/2023 that there are no updates from USCIS and that they will let us know if they need anything. In January, we requested new work permits since my parents’ were set to expire and they were issued about 2 weeks later. I reached out again to congressman 02/2024 and they told me that USCIS is STILL processing our case and will let us know if they need anything.
I have the lawfully and case tracker apps that I check everyday but there were no new updates. So after doing some reddit reading, I decided to make an online USCIS account because it seemed advantageous. We waited 2 weeks for access codes to come in the mail. I created the account and saw a “DENIAL NOTICE” for both of my parents “due to abandonment” that was issued JANUARY 4, 2024. My stomach dropped. Apparently they had notified us in August of 2023 (the day after our I-130 was approved) to send medical forms by November 23, 2023. We had never received any of these documents through the mail (neither did our lawyer or congressman) and they did not show up on the lawfully/case tracker app. How could USCIS tell congressman 6 days before the medical forms were due that they do not need anything from us and then in February tell us they are still processing our case after it had apparently already been denied a month earlier?!?! And now it was TOO LATE TO APPEAL.
LUCKILY our congressman was able to provide proof of our inquiries and our lawyer met with someone at the USCIS Chicago field office (which we never received any mail from) and they reopened our case due to their errors. They sent us new RFE for medical forms which we have sent and we are now waiting to hear back.
All of our notices, including the I-130 approval, had been coming from the Nebraska field office. The documents that were on the portal but were never mailed had been from Chicago Field Office. They also made a mistake in their denial notice stating my parents needed to depart the US within 30 days of receiving the denial notice because they entered the US illegally, which was FALSE because they had come here legally. Needless to say, it was an emotional and stressful rollercoaster.

2024.05.15 03:10 Lunar-Modular Made this deck when Cannonball came out. It quickly became my favorite, but I knew it truly wouldn’t be complete until today.

Made this deck when Cannonball came out. It quickly became my favorite, but I knew it truly wouldn’t be complete until today.
Sage’s release propels this significantly. First, this is built around the two cards that enable Cannonball to destroy, rather than simply move. Professor X and Doc Oc. Bake In additional Ravonna synergies with Shuri (for a 5/20 Doc, Gladiator or Cannonball can be backups) Dagger, and now Sage. Essentially, it’s strong, fun, and has a very versatile turn 6.
Doc Oc hit 20 and still lost the lane? Ghost Spider him away for a surprise 22 points (or 12) in a different lane. Or keep him there and throw Sage down on the now-full lane. Or keep him there and have Ghost Spider bring Dagger over for 14 points for only 2 or 3 energy. Now also put Gladiator on it. Excessive, just to illustrate the point.
Gladiator’s real favorite purpose is to be here for a T4 Professor. He’s otherwise obvs strong on his own, and can be a part of huge turn 6’s.
Nebula is Professor’s friend as well, of course, but if they’ve played a couple of middling cards on top of her, she’s now that much more of a safe place for Doc.
The deck is very fluid and fun to pilot. Have fun if you try it out.
Some nerdy and wordy notes if anyone wants to read some ramblings:
Sage replaced Iron Fist, as the Doc Oc and Dagger bounce-around package has been in the game for a while and is both fun and strong. While Ghost Spider can have several other strategic uses, Dagger is now dead without her in the absence of Iron Fist. Still, she stays. Change it if you like. Red Hulk was originally Hope Summers. While Hope enabled Cannonball and surprise Dagger shenanigans often, Red Hulk is king of the moment, and we all saw how strong he was on top of Doc Oc in Mill last month. Still, Hope -> Shuri -> Doc is incredibly fun, and now that Sage is here to be a part of that T6, Hope will definitely be a great fit after the inevitable Red Hulk nerf. Or right now, because fun. Also, I’d hoped to screenshot a Sage win, but ran out of time. Each time I played her before I’d decided to post here she was a 2/12 and a 3/10 in a lane played at the same time/lane with Gladiator.
Anyway, I always type too much when I start nerding out. But it’s fun to nerd out on our hobby, so there you go. Deck code in the comments.
