As the title suggests, I’ve got a question about the Skalgrim mod: does it affect the balance of the Campaigns?
I’m currently on my third play-through of the Imperial campaign (because I’m not a filthy Heretic 😉) and I’m really enjoying it, having not it played for nearly a year it’s fresh again. But I’ve very quickly hit on my typical fleet set-ups (Especially my C and BC-eating pack of Dauntless’ 😊) and I’m very quickly seeing the slight lack of variety.
So I’m tempted to install the Skalgrim mod as it seems to bring a lot more to the table in terms of ships and variety.
But I’ve not been able to work out if it affects the balance of the campaign, and I’ve seen too many large-scale mods mess with an RTS and make campaigns unplayable. I do enjoy the quick-battles but mostly it’s the longer, grand campaigns that make BFG 2 a great game for me.
I’m currently playing through the Imperial Campaign on medium (without too much difficulty either), but have completed it on hard and have played Necron and Chaos on medium as well (ok, so maybe I’m a bit of a Heretic…) so I’m comfortable with the game play, so if it makes things a little tougher, I’m not too bothered.

Over the next few months we will hear and see the stats over and over. 172 appearances, 125 goals, 50 assists. Over a goal or assist a game. Incredible. But the true pleasure was just watching her play, something we’ve all been robbed of over the last few years. That may have been nobodies fault, but I could certainly name whose fault it is that we will be robbed of watching the rest of her career.
For such pioneers of women’s football, Arsenal have handled Vivianne Miedema’s departure horrifically. Women’s football is not the same as Men’s and should not be run in the same way. In women’s football relationships are built between fans and players as quickly as lesbians fall in love. The accessibility is there and encouraged. Rightly or wrongly, winning isn’t always everything, the priority is growing the game and inspiring the next generations.
Make no mistake, not offering Viv a contract at 27 years of age is the same as Barcelona turning around to Alexia Putellas and not offering her a contract. It is the same as letting Thierry Henry leave on a free. In no world is it a sensible decision. In no world does it make sense for team aiming to win trophy’s. And in no world is any true Arsenal fan going to allow this to be swept under the rug. Could there really not have been a conversation about a contract even if the club felt it was a risk? Could that conversation not have been had? This is Vivienne Miedema, with all due respect, there is nobody better.
This is a huge disrespect and something that the club, specifically Jonas and Edu need to address publicly. Especially if the plan is for Jonas to continue. Not only that it brings into question the ambition of the club, within minutes Man City are sniffing and being vocal about it.
But as difficult as it is for us fans, and as baffling, the real victim is Viv.
To Viv, thank you, thank you, thank you. Not just for what you have done for the club on the pitch, for who you are off it. For being unapologetically yourself, and showing us the most important thing is you and your wellbeing regardless of what directions you are being pulled in. We will always be holding out hope that there will be a U-turn and you end up staying, but the reality is even if the club were too they don’t deserve your forgiveness for this. I hope wherever you end up you don’t just confirm what everyone except the club knows, but make Arsenal have to re-evaluate every persons position who helped come to this conclusion. Because it’s the wrong one, and I’ll die on that sword. But who knows, maybe one day you’ll be winning the WSL with us as manager. I’ll be wishing it in every shooting star I see.
I know we will have to let it go, just as you will have had too, but we aren’t ready yet.

So, the title really says it all really. I met my friend way back at the start of 2020 when everyone was forced online, and we really connected. So much so that we still talk pretty much daily to today, we game, write stories together, it's a lot of fun. But honestly, I can't help but feel like I've a huge crush on her, and part of me feels bad for that.

The game is delisted from Steam but it can be purchased from third party stores and activated on Steam.
If you like racing and/or rally, I can't recommend this one enough. It looks really good and stable 90fps. I didn't expect to enjoy it that much but I was wrong!
As a personal recommedation I suggest disabling driving assistances (maybe keep ABS since the Steam Deck vibration is what it is) and manual transmission to change gears.

On Feb. 9, 2022, I officially became "Homeless" on state record and applied for rent and housing assistance in Knoxville through KCDC/Section 8.
Per today's date:
Zeitraum = 825 days aka 27.123 months. This is exactly the length of time I've been surviving homeless.
It wasn't until THIS YEAR that my name "officially" has gone from being on their "PRE-waiting list": aka the long-ass waiting list you're on BEFORE graduating to the "OFFICIAL" waiting list.
*Btw, no one informed me of this being their process. I waited for many hopeful months while living out of my car, waiting to be called that I contacted them to get the news of only being on the PRE-waiting list- List. Good shit...
So, I decided to visit KCDC in-person last week to speak to them about my still pending status and ask if there were any actions I could take to help my chances of having a place to call home...
FYI: The Broadway location is ONLY for applying to any of their listed complexes. Unfortunately, ALL their waiting lists are also completely full.
*The Harriet Tubman location is for applying or relating to receiving vouchers for financial rental assistance.
FYI: you can ONLY APPLY for a voucher between their generous hours of 8AM-3PM only on the 2nd WED of each month, just fyi for any new applicants.
All I was told at each location was to "continue waiting" and that I would one day be contacted whenever my name came up.
The housing costs in Knoxville, especially have risen quickly dramatically even since when I very first began applying and they'll continue this trend.
**BTW, they're SHUTTING DOWN our Homeless Shelter on Broadway due to a LACK OF FUNDING (good timing), so yet another option we can all cross off our lists of any places to lie our heads down at night.

My Story: (if you've made it this far and give any shits about hearing it for the sake of context.)
Around 1 year-deep into the COVID-19 pandemic, I had been living in an expensive house centered in the North Knox Historic District, working FT at a job I'd spent the past few yrs diligently climbing their ladder, and splitting the house payment with my then, Fiancee of 5 1/2 yrs. He began dating a different girl, had moved her into our house, while stating that "If I didn't stop being depressed, he was going to kick me out". Unfortunately, the house had been put solely in his name when bought. You see, my grandmother had just passed from COVID-19, my childhood best friend had just passed away, and I had been informed suddenly that my 84yrs-old dementia-ridden Father was getting worse and also nearing his last days. Not long after, my older sister contacted me acting upset, stating that he now needed to be on continual watch for FT care, so I packed my things, left my fiancee and my then home and moved in to care for my late father. Eventually, I had to leave my job to fulfill my caretaking duties but I don't regret being there for my father but it grew to be very difficult times, as it was for many those yrs. Dad passed away Jan. 31, 2022. My mother immediately inherited the house at his death, per their messy divorce agreement many yrs before. She so graciously left no time after me literally watching him take his very last breath in the bedroom down the hall from my own for her to serve me immediate eviction papers, now forcing me to leave the home that I grew up with my father in, while being raised. This house, I had only 1 year previous, agreed to my mother and sister when they had requested this of me, quit my long-term, FT job, losing all my sources of income in order to live with and solitary care for my father. (Everyone else- meaning my mother and 3 sisters -were all "too busy" to help me out or give even short breaks. I'm informing you of this, so that anyone that ever says to themselves, "why don't they just go live with family", can comprehend how that's not an actual option for everyone, so when the systems are failing, ppl aren't always on the streets or living out of their cars bc of drug problems or laziness or whatever other common misconceptions I've heard from ppl that are limited in grasping these situations for others. That last month that he was still alive, they all "forbade" me from leaving the house at all nor having any visitors "for his health", despite my deep despair from watching his health ferociously decline, resulting in my very rapidly declining mental health and massive weight-loss and over-exhaustion. Upon receiving my eviction notice, I then immediately began applying for Section 8 assistance. I had no one left and nowhere to go. It's like this for a lot of people. Don't assume ppl always have any other options available, is my point of giving so much backstory. Not exactly trying to "victimize" myself here for pity. I'm strong, I've got this. Just trying to get some points across for when you judge another's situation that you don't know.
Ok, here's the last I'll say about all this. Just humor me and try to consider what I'm pointing out here.
Every single one of us local TN natives have seen through the years how various homeless individuals will bravely step into some of our favorite local diners, gas stations, retail stores, etc. Them, asking employees permissions for maybe utilizing a restroom, some cold water or a drink, often after them walking around most the day (shelter kicks everyone out once it's morning), often after being in our unforgiving weather or high temps. Sometimes, they're asking even for a small bite to eat or leftovers from the kitchen. SO MANY times throughout the years, we've all been standing by, as we witness some enraged employee or the manager angrily decline, followed with often loud threats of calling the cops on them, etc in an attempt to motivate them to not come back asking later, as now they see how many of their annoyed paying customers are actively shaking their heads and shaming their whole interaction with rotten looks of disgust.
I mean after all, our businesses ABSOLUTELY can't be taking any risks of "losing their dedicated customers, just BC some "lazy bums" keep showing up, "always asking for free handouts" and "scaring away our business".
Really, it's best to just not give them anything in the 1st place cus ya know, just like strays, they'll "just keep showing back up"...

Excluding sometimes a random kind individual's exception, for the most part this mindset I'm highlighting here has most often worked as an sorta unspoken "Golden Rule" when we're relating to how we'll decidedly "handle" our large and growing homeless population.
Now that our housing prices have fully skyrocketed, with increases markedly on the rise almost immediately after the COVID-19 Pandemic that left so many of us without income that was supporting our access to necessities. Many, many "middle-class" individuals who were previously working averaging their 5 days/week (ty past labor strikes enforcing our allowance of 2 days off) and living comfortably on their 40hrs/week paychecks are currently struggling to find availability and also afford even a 1br ran-down apartment in our "lower-class" neighborhoods. Most are now working multiple jobs trying to keep up, and childcare isn't offered for free, so it keeps everyone from having opportunities to not only spend time raising their children vs random strangers who are also overworked, but how can you save money when you're losing part of what you earn, just to be able to go to work and not be fully abandoning your children to fend for themselves if left home alone?
Often, homeless ppl can be seen all throughout our city, and guaranteed to be growing in mass numbers when inching closer toward that underpass leading up to the Historic Gay St./Downtown/UT campus/Cumberland Strip. *It's really fairly ironic I've thought, how so much of our income has always been made/spent here, however we're required each time, to first drive through the huge crowd of terribly unfortunate ppl left standing without their bare necessities, often left to sleep outside the packed shelter when it hits capacity, which is always a guarantee. They're not left outside strictly bc they're "on drugs", like a lot have been led to believe.
Lastly, but oh of such an amazing relevance-
**Here's some realism surrounding our cultures' universally pre-conceived (disconnected/egotistical and mis-informed), accepted stigma that states the following phrase:
"These ppl just won't get a job bc they're SO LAZY and just want to live off all us hard-working American's tax dollars...blah blah blah.." Employers won't hire if you don't have an address and the shelters fail to deliver anyone's incoming mail, nor do businesses want to hire a homeless person showing up without proper hygiene or attire or any kind of criminal record. Also, transportation is a bitch. KAT bus costs money, and is very limited on its area services. By walking such lengthy distances, not only can your safety be at risk (especially for Females or any shifts beginning or letting out after dark) but you're gonna be super sweaty and gross by the time you actually arrive to then work a full shift, if you can even somehow make it on time every day by walking for hours before and then after every single shift that you show for.
This isn't any kinda "new" issue for the poor, btw. Don't be such heartless fools, making someone else's situation about "you".
Life's realities can forcibly humble an individual, catching us off-guard for what we'll often end up facing. Always count your blessings and never assume you know anything about anyone else's struggles or how they got there. We're all just trying to survive in this place.

I am an older Lady and took a break from the game for a while, but planing to return to it now and i personally always loved the building aspect of the game more than the suvival one.
I have a question: back in the day when i played it (that was before they added the option to rebuild the garden urself) i was building a lot on the pond ( bouyant fundations) and than placed furniture on it or build another floor higher on it and than placed them there. I remember back in the day that for whatever reason stuff u placed on the floors somethimes started to "float" a tiny bit above the ground and because of my ocd i kept having to place all my furniture back down to sit snug on the ground/floors. I dont know if that was because of the movement of the water, but it kinda killed my mood wanting to build on the pond. (but i think its still one of the prettiest spots tho) Now to my question: does furniture placed on the building floors on the pond still start to float (hoover above ground) or is this fixed by now?

Hoping for some pointers and insight regarding my plan for getting into immigration law. I had to take a few years off right after law school for complicated reasons. Currently doing doc review. I speak Spanish and a third language. I did a fellowship in law school assisting undocumented detained persons secure legal representation and also worked with a non-profit doing some asylum defense and family reunification type stuff as a 3L...
My concern is where I've been out of law school for coming up on three years that it'll be tough to find a job. Couple of ideas:

1. I thought about taking this comprehensive Immigration Law course through Catholic Legal Immigration Network https://www.cliniclegal.org/training/e-learning-courses/COIL061724 but $625 to enroll under current financial situation is going to be a bit of a stretch and I'm not sure how much it will help me with employment... Although it does look inherently interesting.
2. I also considered getting another bar license in a state like Texas where there seem to be a lot of immigration jobs. I realize I can likely practice before an immigration court there with my current license (east coast state in which I do not plan on living in the future) but perhaps it would make me more attractive to employers to be barred in the state?

The biggest downside regarding a second bar membership is the cost (between $1500-$2000 to transfer a UBE score and jump through all the hoops. Ouch!) and then I will have to keep up with CLEs from the state (my current state doesn't require CLEs)... Pay two X the bar fees every year... I'm honestly hoping someone will tell me that this is more than a pain in the ass than it's worth, ha.
Summary: Can anyone in the immigration field comment as to 1. taking the COIL course, 2. If it's worth it to transfer my UBE score given the cost and pain of keeping up with a second license, and finally-- any other ideas to make me a better candidate to land a job in immigration law going forward? I heard a lot about Dungeon Crawler Carl, like A LOT. So i decided to give it a try.
Need to mention that i'm usually not quite fond of LitRPG genre, i have read some webcomics, but mainly because of story and characters - the RPG part was the thing i really disliked.
DCC made a good impression on me - i was surprised and really enjoyed the first book. Can't say it's an example of high literature and distinguished uniqueness (Omniscient Reader was there before DCC, just to mention), but it was a well-built story, with a good balance between action and world explanations, so you're not being bored while reading it.
Also i liked the fact that most of problems happening with Carl was the result of his own decisions rather than just the manifestation of writer's will, so it's like in a real rpg game where you suggested to choose good but harder way or vice versa.
So i decided to not waste time and bought the second book and there is the point where the series became problematic for me.
First thing - the balance between action scenes and non-combatant activity was disrupted. If most action sequences in first book felt more unique, now they felt more like some ordinary grinding activity. I know, i know - it's all about disappearing the effect of freshness when you're digging into some series, but nevertheless.
Second - quests appeared and it's the point author (in my opinion) failed a bit, because i felt no compassion at all. I guess it's partially because it's hard for me to be compassionate to artificially created beings with no free will and i can't even imagine in which way somebody in that universe could be interested in TV show with that characters, so quest with elite character was boring in my opinion, it's a personal thing i guess, but i can't find the reason to like it. Quest which took place in the second part of the book was even more weird - Carl accepted the quest because of his compassion to random NPC, but when she died he was like "Oh, that's sad but lets go on" and quest turned out be the freaking hidden apocalypse quest, which was impossible to predict, so yea, it's kinda opposite to the thing i liked from the first book. Technically Carl struggled after his own decision, but man, how it was possible to predict that?
There are other small problems i found, but don't wanna be too meticulous. That's why i kinda disliked the second book and i guess i'll stop reading this series. In the first book Carl assisted the group of weak and helpless people and you could say it's a cheap trick, well yea, but still better than assisting no-free-will dummies.
So what do you think about it, guys? I'm not asking should i read it further or not, not asking to convince me to read it further - quite stupid, but many people here asking for such things - i'm rather interested what you guys, especially series fans, think about second books in comparison with first one?
P.S. I know here would be a lot of series fans, cause it's on the wave of hype now, but let's be respectful to each other, cause we all could have our opinions, right?

So, I've been single for a few years now and whilst I enjoyed the time to work on myself and whatnot, I figured it's about time I get back into the dating world.
I'm a dirty-blonde blue-eyed 5"7 guy with long-ish hair (growing it out!), a stocky build and a bit of winter pudge leftover from the COVID days (who doesn't amirite? Though I'm working out at home and going on walks to try and burn it off finally; I've also recently joined the gym, so...that's neat!).
I love long, pointless talks to lose hours faster than you can blink and adore chatting about nothing much with someone on the same page (whether that's via discord voice call or messaging, though in person is best!). I spend a good deal of my spare time gaming (PC mostly these days, though I've an Xbox X & PS5 too!), writing (as a hobby mostly, creative writing exercises & the occasional roleplay too) and reading (Fantasy is my jam).
I'm comfortable with my own company but happy to talk for the two of us. I've apparently got an INFP-A personality; which basically just translates to the fact I adore creative individuals (whether it's a passionate hobby or just creative thinking style, I cannot get enough) and am something of an introvert with a passionate (but small) social circle.
My type of partner is someone with a spark of creativity (either with their imagination or through something more tangible like art, writing, etc) who has an interest (passing or otherwise) in video games, anime, writing, reading, music or movies. Other than that, I don't have a visual type per say; tall, short, skinny, chubby, I'm really not all that fussed!
Besides all that, I'm not much of a foodie as I suffer from ARFID (but I'm slowly improving, or trying to anywho!) but I try not to let it affect my day-to-day. On that note, I'm wholeheartedly disability & disorder friendly; there's enough trouble and shame in the world as is, so don't ever let anyone make you feel bad for something you can't help. ♥
To end things off, I don't currently drive but I'm happy to try and meet in person or travel (within the UK) if we hit things off and want to meet 'n greet proper-like. That being said, I'm perfectly comfortable sticking to messages/calls for the time being if y'prefer that instead!

Today, we of J would like to give you our beliefs surrounding the after-life.
If we could define the after-life, we would say that the main message everyone hears is, "forgive and ask why."
We of J believe our universe is a simulation, therefore we hear instead, "don't take the game too seriously guys!"
Our motto is old but tested, we believe anything can be accomplished through some form of harsh training, similar to the hero ethic archetype of one who tries and never gives up.
We have observed your after-life and find it odd that not many seem to understand that the essence of your particular density, as you might term it, is truly and always forgiveness through understanding of self or others.
Therefore, one may undergo the hero journey of self-forgiveness/forgiveness.
Alternatively, one may undergo the hero journey of self-seeking/seeking-otherself
Therefore, many - or rather, the great multitude of human activity is counter-productive to the assumed original intention of the simulation. Most of the activities we do have nothing to do with why we come to Earth.
Regardless of how one seeks enlightenment or self-realization, as long as they realize all is truly one and the game is afoot at the center of the universe, the ideal is that all stress melts away and you begin to find life rather bearable indeed.
The harsh truth, we of J believe, is that regardless of what it is anyone has done, all is forgiven, all understand why - all understand the Infinite Series, Cause and Effect, Tension of Thought - Relaxation of Thought - and then, Thought Power.
J are saying that to access the simulation, you 'basically' have to forgive yourself, understand why to the extent that satisfies you, and then you can access the simulation itself and move on from this 'level.'
In the after-life, the great effort is spent analyzing the rotations of your chakras and determining where to place you within the stream of cause and effect of Earth so everyone benefits from your intrusion. The entities who realize forgiveness and understanding move to what lies beyond your simulation - those who fail to realize forgiveness and understanding are forced to stay or alternatively, can restart the simulation from scratch.
This may startle humans, but it is very important that all people who partake in the realm above yours understand that this is a simulation and that feelings are a quantity of energy used to partake in a game called Life.
A soul comes to an Earth-like if, for whatever reason, they unfairly disturb another persons well deserved peace because of something that happened in the game of Life.
A great variety of unbelievable things happen in the game of Life and some cultures in the game always take the simulation far too seriously and ruin the fun for everyone. They are people who blow up planets or a great many wonderous creations that we all dearly miss.
Too many crimes of such a nature only can be so tolerated until they have to be felt by the ones who dealt the blow, this system is called Karma and Karma is known to be a term of your slang variety.
J believe this is a simulation and that Earth is a kind of place people go to, to understand how they made other people feel in the game they are calling Life. In other words, Earth is more of a subdimension for naughty children to go to.
It matters not, whatsoever, how you realize that this is a simulation, only that you do and become excited to partake in the fun that is actually happening which is very well documented by people who write comics or anime as well as, other fictions one might imagine that have inspired many toward this revelation, one way or another.
We of J believe that the game of life can only be played by responsible children, responsible adults we of J think, make the game very boring, hence why - again, this universe has a slightly positive bias for now.
Human life-times ought to be short since then, you hardly miss out on what is actually happening. Those who dream or have occasional lucid dreams may see into the game occasionally and enjoy it before being forced back into your physical bodies.
In essence, they are saying that we come to this planet to learn how to be responsible but childish, our planet is the old game called responsible adults and it is, to J profoundly boring since this simulation has long since past. Wanderers occasionally enter our planet to remind us to stop playing responsible adults.
Your simulation is changing, it is acquiring the 4th density characteristic of thought which allows ideas to be felt by everyone all at once, all the time. This speed increases daily but is slowed down due to your planets obsession with the internet.
We are hopeful that when everyone is caught up with each others thoughts, that this planet can move on to new adventures. For those who continue to lag behind the present moment, they will have to move to another planet which still facilitates the responsible adult level. In other words, your planet is becoming inhabited by entities who are aware that this is a simulation.
The negative polarity is designed to teach us humans that this is a simulation and forgiving ultimate crimes is a way to start playing the actual game of Life itself rather than its older iteration. J also believe that anyone who figures this out will begin to find life very easy going and will simply drift into good things or to bad things without a care in the world since they know, after this life, all is forgiven and understood if you truly believe that this is a simulation with all your heart.
It is true that many have responsible adult attachments to this world, and it is not our desire to stamp them out, we only desire that humans realize one can be responsible and have fun as well so long as they continue to understand that it is simply a simulation.
We of J believe, that anyone who has a heart that believes fully that the simulation has a positive bias, will fall into opportunities that benefit them or put them in positions of lacking responsibility such that they can pour their focus into the game itself, many even choose to draw the things they see their Higherself's doing in the game of Life or turn them into works of art.
It is a foundational truth that our feelings can be hurt by people in the game of Life, but we of J simply choose to recognize that it is all pretend, an act - all to increase the fun and increase our pain tolerance.
Horrendous acts occur all the time because irresponsible children always take the game too far, the 'Administrators' of our game do have the right to ban you into the responsible adult realm if you fail to understand that rules are designed to make the game fun for everyone.
J also believe that the worst thing you can tell a child is 'you can't,' because children in the 'real' game very much prefer the word can and only use the word can't if they are trying to begin a ruckus.
We of J would love to introduce humans to the idea that your world is but a simulation and the real game is happening somewhere else, we are just continuously unsure as to whether your world would find our values extremely distorted to your own, to such the point, that you stop enjoying the game of responsible adults.
It is not our desire to create distortion or discord, only to present our philosophy toward Life since, to our perspective, time is speeding up in your world and many will discover this on their own.
We of J will always ask, therefore,

Block the cheaters, block anyone you never want to see in the game. Every time you enter a game with a blocked player you will get a notification in the lobby, back out before game starts and wait 1 minute to start. Sometime you won't get the notification in the lobby, but you will get it when you enter the game, go to an exfil immediately or buy a personal exfil . Your welcome.

So, we all know warthunder has a lot of problems, and so ive made this sub to discuss and theorise on what a replacement for that game would actualy look like.
Mind you that right now is just me here and it will most likely take years before this ever can become a full video game, but with modern tech and looks im sure it could be an actual competitor.
My personal dream vission would be an entirely open source game ran in an extended ww2 scenario that extrapolated the actual war by a number of years to better balance the game and individual plane performance by not sticking to historical accuracy.
In my opinion gaijin used many rather bullshit stats to balance planes that make many planes just far less enjoyable then they should be, take ammo and engine performance for example.
Another significant difference would be that planes that never existed irl can be added trough the game to fill existing gaps in the lineup and to improve highly expirimental late war planes to actualy be war ready.
A good example of what such changes to existing or semi existing aircraft would be on the G8N1, giving it actualy propper engine management and fire supression, the same could be done to many other planes thus also making everything more equal.
