How we started Tweetlio?
Back when Elon shook the Twitter-sphere by taking over, my tech co-founder and I were just a couple of devs spinning ideas in our makeshift office. We saw firsthand how the game changed overnight, how the rules got rewritten, and how solo entrepreneurs struggled to keep up. Much like how things like the herb pouch or looting bag allow you to extend your slayer trips, and tempoross's fish barrel allows you to afk at karambwans for longer, what if the sailing skill allowed you to hold more items, like a portable, limited bank? Say, one or two extra inventories worth every ten levels or so.
As an example, a new island with skeletal wyverns, except you can bring extra potions/food to finish your slayer task all in one go instead of needing multiple trips, and have enough room to bank the bones for use at gilded altars instead of just feeding them into the bonecrusher necklace. Or a new fish that overheals you more than the anglerfish, (caught at say, 90 fishing) but is so far from a bank/teleport that you need a bigger cargo hold to make decent GP/hr while fishing it.
Could balance it further by being able to land on islands at a lower level, but you can't access the cargo hold unless you're at a dock, be that someplace like Port Sarim, or a player built port that requires both a higher level of Sailing AND levels in Construction.

With the closing of the company, I've been looking to see where to get more content & support the RT crew as the new projects and channels start up. I couldn't find any lists yet, so I decided to make my own.

Hi all,
I'm now 12 moths post-op, and have lost a staggering 57kg! Way more than I planned or hoped to achieve. I had fairly major post-op complications being VRE (hospital infection), and the surgeon managed to nick my liver whilst in there. I had a sleeve done, but had to go back under approx. 20 times for them to clean out infection etc. I spent 6 weeks in hospital and lost 20kg's in that time with multiple ICU admissions.
It was tough going.
But, 12 months later - I'm a new person. I'm eating better, more active, taking better care of myself etc. I'm still paying through the roof for my private health insurance, but I'm considering lowering from Gold hospital and extras to just hospital cover only. I'm a health care worker and get free ambulance through my union.
I'm paying close to 3.5k a year for insurance. I have a great relationship with my GP who I see regularly. I'm not planning any other major surgeries, or planning on having children (am very gay).
I'm curious to hear if others hung onto their top level cover, or lowered it after time?

Hi. I am very afraid of insects, something I didn't learn about myself until I moved into a "garden level" apartment. I'm working on moving past this fear (terror), but I would really like to sleep tonight, and right now that is not looking like an option.
By what I've been able to glean from research without being able to look at photos of course...is I have silverfish, some sort of cockroach thing with wings(??), ants, spiders , and who knows what else. I live in the 4-corners area of the United States for reference.
My problem and reason For making this post is because I found so much conflicting information that i'm just not sure anymore. Can anyone clear any of this up for me? I just need a basic rundown of myth vs reality as to what repels and/or kills household insects.
A. Candles. Attract or repel? Light attracts insects, but they don't like fire (right?) I have a beeswax candle, I heard they don't like that. What about citronella as a general stay-away -from -me- tool?
B. Some sites say you can make your own super killer spray with bleach and vinegar, and the next page I read would say that still just attracts them. I just murdered the crap out of one of those weird looking winged roach things with this mixture, but im standing in the middle of the room too afraid to move. Im looking to make some witch-magic circle thing that bugs will not cross to get to me
C. Ultrasonic plug in repellers- good to add to the arsenal or should I just throw my money away?
I know that there are different types of insects and bugs and all of that stuff. I might be able to grow a pair and post a picture if someone really needs it...hopefully not, though.
Additional info: What I have already done:
I. Sprayed the ortho home defense max inside and out, carefully following instructions II. Laid down diatomaceous earth outside III.Laid down diatomaceous earth inside in the baseboard cracks and openings and then sealed them up with caulk/putty caulk, pushing the d.e. inside to act as an insulator IV. I just moved here. So it was fairly clean to begin with. But I just re-cleaned everything on the inside just in case. V. It's 1am and I'm weatherstripping my front door

what I bought

I feel like I should qualify this by saying I’m not certain I qualify as gifted, but this sub has certainly helped me understand my own mind better. This introspection has got me thinking about the relationship between cognitive diversity and society and I’d like to hear your thoughts on the matter, especially since most of you are intimately familiar with the effects of this interaction in your own lives. You can stop reading here if you want, because this is where I start rambling.
I’m not sure “conformist” is the appropriate word. I live in America and I think many would find it unwarranted to call it “conformist”, especially relative to most other countries. Generally, the country is pretty individualistic and a lot of work here is being done toward accommodation/inclusivity of diversity in various dimensions. However, I do think certain aspects are (mostly implicitly) conformist in that they don’t take into account other dimensions like cognitive diversity. In fact, I think cognitive diversity is grossly overlooked and misunderstood.
Throughout my life and especially my time lurking this sub, I’ve come to realize just how multidimensional it is in itself! Some people have internal monologues/dialogues, some don’t. Some can vividly visualize with their mind’s eye, some see nothing at all. Some think in abstract concepts, and some in more concrete terms. Some people can hear music on their heads, some can’t. Some feel empathy more than others. Some feel pain more than others, and so on… Our minds are stimulated by different things as well.
TANGENT: I’m nowhere near an expert, but I’m thinking the crux of giftedness may actually be how the mind is stimulated (Dabrowski’s idea of overexcitabilities that I was recently introduced to by a member of the sub). If a person’s brain is highly stimulated by and sensitive to the euphoria of problem solving, recognizing a pattern, deep and specific thought, etc. then the developing brain may just structure itself to be more proficient at it. Emotional excitability may lead to the brain prioritizing memory capture because of the role emotions play in that system. Maybe it’s all as simple as that: the sensitivities driving the brain’s development. I know it’s largely genetic and likely way more complex than I know, but I wonder if there’s a way to unlock these excitabilities during childhood with individualized and targeted reward systems to facilitate a similar kind of development to that of a gifted brain in a non-genetically gifted individual.
I wonder how much of all this is factored into how society is structured. For example, I think our schooling system, which I think is incredibly outdated and in desperate need of reform, is terrible in regard to accommodating cognitive diversity. I largely think of the academic failures of individuals more like failures of the institution. I largely see the failures of individuals in most areas, academically, financially, morally or otherwise more like inadequacies of the societies we’ve built. It’s wasted potential and needless suffering.
Sure, this can only be controlled to a certain degree. Governing this amount of people necessitates some level of generalizability in our institutions, but I can’t help but feel we can be doing more than we are now. If only cognitive diversity was getting the same kind of attention that more surface level forms of diversity are. At least now with AI we can afford people some level of personalized education or assistance, but I’m not sure this issue has so much appeal to actually make any timely or meaningful effort.
How much do our politicians think about this stuff? I’m sure psychologists and educators are all over it, but how much do their benefactors think about it?
Anyway, ramble over. This is a relatively new interest of mine so if you have any knowledge or reading recommendations, please do share.

Needless to remind people of the good old Deccan Chargers days. I was young and didn't follow cricket at that time. My dad would always watch it, so I would catch glimpses of CSK playing in 2011 and 2012 times. Soon, I had an interest and wanted to support a relatively unknown team, or an underdog if you will. In 2013 with SRH being announced, I wanted to properly support a brand new team. I was still learning to understand the game; I was 15 at the time. Loved watching Steyn and just always loved watching good bowling more than batting. Of course, I enjoy the batting powerhouse we have become. But throughout this journey of being an SRH fan, I have noticed the love affair we have had for Aussies and Sri Lankans in our squad. Gilchrist leading DC to a title, then the great Sanga leading us to the playoffs in our first season as SRH. Perera's all-round show. David Warner in 2016 leading us to a title when RCB were cruising the chase. Who could forget Ben Cutting's best all-round performance in a final. Yuvi striking like crazy in that game. Bhuvi defending 18 runs off the final over by conceding just 10!
Now fast forward to 2024, we have David Warner's role split into 2. The duo of Cummins with captaincy and Warner 2.0 batting with Travis. And should we play a final like this again, maybe even against RCB, we'll have a similar squad. We have Nitish who has risen, and dare I say may even be our Ben Cutting with all-round stellar show we have seen from him thus far, not quite up to Ben's level but still. I know before I wanted Samad to be our Ben Cutting, but I think Nitish is more suited for that because he can bowl too, gives us 2 or 3 overs. Bhuvi is, of course, still with us, regaining his confidence, just like the 2016 Bhuvi. We have Yuvi's presence again through Abhi. Bipul Sharma, left-arm spinner, we now have Shahbaz. We have quite a few upgrades now for our wicket-keeping in Klaasen, 6 hitter in Samad (once he regains his confidence), Nattu who is reliable at the death, Pace train in Umran, and a genuine spin bowling option in Vijayakanth, the Sri Lankan flair coming back. Few interesting similarities about Vijayakanth is that he's relatively unknown like Mustafizur was back in 2016 and in 2018 we had a spinner that performed superbly for us, you know the name... Could it all be coming together for us? Could he be our missing piece, especially on a slow Chepauk track? Could Mayank play an anchor role like Dhawan and redeem himself? Time will tell.
Of course, it would have been nice to give Glen Phillips a try, and who knows, maybe he's our trump card? Maybe Cummins and Vettori are planning something we just don't know yet, or they are happy with the setup we have now. But there's yet another similarity if Glen Phillips is to sit out... remember in 2016 we had Trent Boult, Kane Williamson, and even Eoin Morgan sitting on the bench! Any other team, they would have been a regular in the 11! We insisted on Fizz, we insisted on Ben Cutting and Moises. Did it work out? No, not really, other than Ben Cutting; the other two had an average game. And remember, we won! We WON the final! Not sure if there is a certain luck aspect associated here but in 2016 both Kiwis did not play and in 2018 when we had a kiwi playing despite his amazing 700+ season, our title hopes wasn't to be. Another luck aspect to think about is of course the jersey, SA20 back to back winners, Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
I'm perhaps getting a bit too ahead of myself thinking of a final, but the fact of the matter is we have done so well thus far because it has been Cummins and Vettori's team through and through. They are sticking to their guts and saying this is what we are doing. Mayank, Tripathi, Sundar, Umran, Jansen, and Markram, our former captain, half the side that played in the 2022 season, dropped! They have good reasons for it, and that's okay. Just trust them! We were the underdogs at the start of the season once again, just like we were in 2016. THIS is our key. No one sees us coming; people still don't rate us though we have shown the world how T20 batting is done. I want us to be the underdogs; I want us to keep surprising; I want us to be the calm and composed fans that we have prided ourselves to be. Let's not become toxic, it was never our style. Please don't abuse the players or foul mouth other teams. Appreciate and enjoy them. Even if we lose both games and we don't qualify, I'm okay with that, same with winning the cup. Whatever happens SRH forever! We as the fans have had a season to remember for the ages.

You are going to T20 World Cup as a T20 bowler when people doubted your abilities in the shortest format after picking you at the auctions. What a season you have had and lifted the entire fanbase's emotions up and carried us to the peak of entertainment and happiness. Thank you so much!

Is it worth getting into season of discovery now if I’m still pretty new to wow? I’ve leveled several characters over the years, but I’ve never participated in any endgame content. Any thoughts on this?

Snipped from a Hacker News comment related to Open AI's new release: "We’re moving toward a world where every job will be modeled, and you’ll either be an AI owner, a model architect, an agent/hardware engineer, a technician, or just.. training data."
I know many folks think big swaths of PR are -- and will remain -- immune to AI. But as a thought exercise, I can see the industry getting a piece of every one of these roles:
AI owner: Highly technical or specific domains will absolutely require custom-trained models; a smart domain-focused PR shop could train those models and build a business (or at least a profitable line item on the invoices) out of renting it to clients. Probably makes less sense right now because the rate of iteration is too fast to easily keep up.
Model architect: People are modeling the work of PR professionals into a tailored AI -- I don't have to guess at that; I know folks doing it. The more interesting question: Why aren't PR people/shops modeling the behavior of journalists and influencers into AIs? Decades ago, we needed a hit in the NYT for a certain level of shock-and-awe coverage. Today? The right model and API framework could launch 20 niche Substacks, cross-pollinate them, promote them via earned and paid channels on social, and likely get the same impact or more. And we could do it with a higher degree of data-driven certainty about our process and results. Ethical? Not everyone will think so. Is that gonna stop the train? Nope.
Agent/hardware engineer and/or technician: This seems to be where a lot of individuals and shops are experimenting right now, futzing around with how to make AI work for specific clients and highly individualized/quirky workflows. It's a start... but I don't think it's a way to build a business with a moat around it.
Training data: This is the one I never hear people talking about. The world is *awash* in new AI models, many of them open source. How long before some PR person figures out they can impact the output of those models by flooding the zone with biased training data? As with the model-architect issue, it's something many folks would find unethical. But the sheer amplification it would offer is too tempting a target to think someone won't do it.
Anyway, that's what I'm thinking about while stuck in an airport waiting for a delayed red-eye. What does everyone else think?

I’m redoing this bathroom in my new house and having a hard time picturing what different colors will look like. I want to paint the walls, and the cabinets, and will do the ceilings and trim if it will add to the look. I’m a fan of more both light and dark academia styles. I was thinking dark green color drenched in everything, or possibly a light wall with a dark ceiling? The connecting bedroom is a French blue. I want it to flow between rooms but with some contrast. In these pictures I did a little bit of editing to show my new shower curtain and to edit in the new cabinets I will be painting and installing. Let me see your ideas!

I work at a local chain store in Nevada. I (37F), was minding my business putting our load of new items out on the shelves when I noticed an older (60-70+M) needing assistance at the main register. For context, I wear a set of keys for work around my neck and another bundle around the bend of my elbow. While I walk they jingle very loudly and I can’t hear much over them. Meanwhile I didn’t know this older man asked several times where our newspapers are in the store because he WHISPERED IT WHILE MY KEYS WERE DEVOURING MY EARDRUMS! Anyway, I proceed to ask him “how can I help you darlin’?” He responds with “what are you deaf you stupid bch!?! I asked where your newspapers are only about 5 times!!!” At this point I’m shocked but locked and loaded on this withered decaying fart cloud standing before me. I absolutely lose my control that 24 years of customer service has graced me with handling and lay into this Father Time wanna be. I tell him he must be as blind as I am deaf because he walked right past and looked right at them when entering and if he wants to continue disrespecting me then he can fk right off and leave my store! I walk to the back store room to calm down when I see him grab a paper and then walk back up to the register as if he expected me to assist him in checking out. Needless to say I did not help him and he did not get his paper.

I use Premiere Pro for some wedding highlight videos I record.
During speeches, I run audio to a field recorder to sync it with some clips later. My editing approach may not be the most efficient, but here it is:

• I add all the speech video clips to a new sequence (V1)
• I add the field recorder's audio to A2 (A1 has the audio from the video clips)
• I'd select a clip on V1 and the audio from A2, right-click, syncronize

I'd repeat this process untill all clips are synced to the audio.
This has worked well, but I recently found that sometimes the audio (A2) would move, instead of the video (V1). I only need the video file to move and keep the audio in place throughout this process. Of course, if I lock the audio in place, I cannot select it, and therefore cannot sync it.
It might be something I'm overlooking. Please help,

I’m pretty new to blender, so I apologize if this is a basic mistake >< I edited a vertex on a basic cube shape and it casts a weird shadow you can only see on the X perspective. When I move it around, it looks okay, so I’m not sure what’s causing this. Any tips would be appreciated!

I (21 F) am almost certain I've had an ovarian cyst for a few months now. until the past few days it hadn't caused me any pain at all, but now has a dull aching pain (occasionally sharper if I move at a weird angle or put pressure on it while laying down.) I've scheduled an appointment with an OBGYN, but since I would be establishing care with a new provider and have never been to one before I was a bit selective and went with the doctor I really wanted, who's soonest appointment was next month. Would it be best to schedule a sooner appointment as well and not risk a month more of this?? I just want to be safe in case it is serious or needs to be removed, and it is very uncomfortable.
