As stated in the title, what do you all do, if you are collecting social security, about taxes? Do you have a certain percentage taken out of your social security before receiving it monthly or pay quarterly taxes or pay at tax time?
Same with your pensions, if applicable, how do you handle taxes? In looking ahead at our social security statements and pension statements I'm trying to estimate what our take home would be if we have taxes taken out...or how we would pay if we pay another way.
Both social security and pension seem to have the option of having taxes taken out before disbursements, but not required.
This question may sound a bit ignorant, but we are still in the planning stages and I would appreciate input from this always wise group!

General and work purposes - nothing major, but use of some online collaboration tools/board which can be memory intensive (16GB more than sufficient for this).
Future upgrades - I would like to upgrade in 2-4 years, so I am heavily considering an AM5 build to save me from having to start again from scratch due to phasing out of AM4 in that timeframe.

I have put together 2 possible builds. The first is an AM4 build on the lower end of the budget (€908), which I think should be able to meet my requirements. The second is an AM5 build which stretches the budget (€1163). Both have a RX 6750 XT (6800 XT doesn't seem to be available from any retailers in Belgium).
I intend on upgrading in 2-3 years, which is my motivation for going AM5. However, I am hesitating on this as I am not sure whether the future-prep is worth the extra money, especially given it'll be the same GPU as the cheaper build until then. AM5 build is already at the hard limit budget-wise, as I will also need a monitor.
If anyone has any feedback or suggestions for better optimising these builds, and any thoughts on whether going AM5 is worth it for a relative budget build, that would be fantastic.

10k miles. 72 MPG based on the car's calculations ( which doesnt account for electricity price).
Put premium gas only from Costco. Average since purchase: $3.6 per gallon. To compare, regular gas average is $3.1.
Price of "super off peak" electricity including taxes and a whole lot of fees Georgia Power shoves on me: $0.045 / Kwh.
Always start on EV mode and deplete battery.
Get 25.6 miles in gas only mode ( after full battery depletion). Mostly 50/50 city/hwy driving. Kept EV miles vs gas miles notes diligently between a tank fill and did the math.
Averaged 1.91 Miles/Kwh on EV. The Mazda calculation is off, and shows much higher, because it largely counts regen braking miles as EV miles ( even when the battery is depleted). I compare against EV miles driven divided by my Kwh draw in the night. Summer time, its closer to 2.4 ( with no AC). However, during last winter it dropped to 1.4 Mi/Kwh.
So true Miles per gallon ( including electricity cost, and premium gas extra cost) using the average gas prices above:
72 × 3.1 / (3.6 + (72-25.6)×.045/1.91)
= 47.56 Miles per gallon.
Usually carry 4 people but in winter carried 8 people for a few weeks.
Also, 2.5 more months in summer for a full year and it will only go up: unless we take a road trip which will bring it down a lot.
However road trips should be excluded as it is the second cheapest ( after EV road trip but dont want to burn an hour for every 3 driven) , and most convenient option for us for trips < 1500 miles.
I like driving the car. It feels hard on the butt sometimes during longer drives. And the front bushing creaking still shows on dry days. No issues otherwise.

DYAI-100 Phase 1 Clinical Trial
DYAI-100, a C1-SARS-CoV-2 recombinant protein RBD vaccine candidate, is the first C1-expressed protein tested in humans. The Phase 1 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was designed as a first-in-human trial to assess the clinical safety and antibody response of DYAI-100, produced using the C1 platform and administered as a booster vaccine at two single dose levels in healthy volunteers. Following regulatory clearance from the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA), the trial was initiated in 1Q 2023, with the last patient visit occurring in 3Q 2023. On November 29, 2023, the Company announced the top-line safety results, indicating that the study has met its primary endpoint that both the low and high dose levels of the vaccine are safe and well tolerated among participants. Additionally, the vaccine has been shown to induce immune responses at both dose levels, suggesting its potential efficacy in generating protective immunity against the target virus. The study has been finalized, and the final Clinical Study Report has been issued, demonstrating that the DYAI-100 vaccine met its primary endpoint of safety and reactogenicity.

Revenue: Research and development revenue and license revenue for the three months ended March 31, 2024, decreased to approximately $335,000 compared to $934,000 for the same period a year ago. The decrease in research and development revenue was due to the winding down of several large research collaborations conducted in 2023. For the three months ended March 31, 2024, the Company’s revenue was generated from ten collaborations compared to seven collaborations in the same period a year ago.

Some context, I was blocked in by police at a parking lot. The officer wouldn’t tell me what they stopped me for and requests my license. They then instructed me to follow them as they were doing “vehicle inspections” they wouldn’t return my license or tell me where I was going just to follow them. I did so and they were hosting a vehicle inspections point with 20 plus officers in a commercial parking lot. After a good 3 hours They ended up charging me with “improper muffler” and “drive motor vehicle not within emissions regulations”. The officer issuing the tickets did not tell me why I was getting them only what my legal options are. I had to find an officer to tell me what was going on. The only reason they could say was I didn’t have a “primary cat” and that it was “unsafe” , they insisted I had an exhaust leak but wouldn’t tell me where. they removed my plates and called a tow truck. They refused to let me use CAA as they already took my plates.
I had it towed to my mechanic which was able to disprove the lack of “primary cat” and that the vehicle was safe to drive. They insisted the vehicle was modified and made false claims saying it was lowered which the vehicle was stock and only serviced by a reputable mechanic.
I had to pay for my own tow and now pay for safety, registration and new plates.
I intend to fight the tickets but is there a way to get reimbursed for the tow and the fees with getting the vehicle on the road if I were to win?

Many of these WB shows have very obscure songs on their DVD/streaming versions that not even Shazam recognizes and are difficult to track.
Anyway, on the end of Episode 1 of Season 5 titled "The Bostonians" there is this song called "Once and Always You" by Sylvia Tosun. It belongs to the album Jump In, from the same singer and published in 2005. I wasn't able to find neither the song or the album on streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music/Itunes), YouTube (I only found the songs "We belong" and "Head Over Heels", nothing else), SoundCloud (info about the album can be found, but nothing else), Archive (info about the album with 30 seconds mp3 samples of each track can be found here) and even Soulseek. But I came up with nothing.
I even tried reaching out to Sylvia Tosun on Facebook, but it seems she does not use her Social Media pages since 2020. I also contacted Miklos Malek, the producer of the album and I am yet to receive an answer.
The only place you can find the album is physically on Amazon, but it costs $144 USD and it does not ship to my country. I though about contacting the person who left the only review on the Amazon page, but I am not sure if I found the right person or not.
