So yeah, pretty much what the title sounds like. I (21 M) have been going through a bit of a “hoe phase” for the past month or so with guys off of Grindr. A remnant of humanity lives on beneath the protection of an immense dome. Bereft of history and ignorant of anything beyond the dome's confines, they inhabit an encapsulated and automated City. A vast metropolis built atop the mechanisms which ensure their survival.
All is not bliss however. Residents increasingly hear of illegal actions by those whose curiosity draws them to off-limits areas beneath the City. Police lieutenant Lewis Clay has more than lawbreakers to deal with though. His relationship with a longtime girlfriend is on the rocks, and soon falls apart.
Catherine Westall spends most days working at an orphanage, but her ordinary exterior hides a well kept secret. She’s a delver; one of those who flaunt the City’s laws in their expeditions to restricted sublevels.
When Lewis attempts to arrest Catherine for delving crimes, she narrowly escapes, hoping never to encounter him—or get caught—again. Chance spoils that. Meeting once more in social circumstances, both decide perhaps it’s possible to look past those aspects they find distasteful in the other.
Beginning a more involved, and personal, relationship, they grow closer just as conditions in the City grow bleaker. Earthquakes of unknown cause frighten the citizens, just as everything from plumbing to appliances start to lose reliability. Slowly trusting one another more, Lewis agrees to join Catherine on an expedition below the City. A journey to hunt the disturbances’ cause, and one which will place both in more danger than they’ve ever encountered before.

That curiosity is one of the few things they have in common; considering Lewis works as a police officer, and Catherine involves herself in the practice of delving. An illegal activity which takes its practitioners to forbidden areas beneath the City. She risks her safety, in part, to secure money for the orphanage she manages. Lewis—bound by his duty—tries unsuccessfully to arrest Catherine after becoming stuck with her for a time in the off-limits underbelly. Escaping, she hopes never to see him again, but he, having learned of their shared curiosity, tries to hunt down leads regarding her identity.
Meeting again at a fundraiser for the orphanage, they come to realize that even with their conflicting legal views, they enjoy each other’s company. Planning to meet up again, both wonder if a friendship — or even something more — could be possible.
While his goal increasingly becomes to learn more about her — even to the point of beginning delving himself — he struggles to keep their relationship from damaging his career and other friendships. She finds herself growing fonder of him, while still uncertain what secrets may be safe to share with the charismatic police officer.
Both seek to deepen their relationship, but as more and more citizens blame delvers for an increase in mysterious failures around the City, they find themselves drawn into the dangerous business of trying to diagnose the problems. As inexplicable earthquakes begin to rock the City, both wonder what they’ll be able to accomplish, and whether their lives, or their home, can ever return to normal.

Lewis Clay joined the City police force in hopes of helping his fellow citizens; knowing the job would bring him into contact with criminals. Even encountering delvers—those who make illegal expeditions to the City’s underbelly—wasn’t out of the question. He never expected to actually meet one though.
Catherine Westall, frequent delver, never expected to meet a policeman during one of her expeditions, but there Lewis is, clearly not buying her story about getting lost.
He doesn’t get her name before she escapes his botched arrest attempt, but the two do learn more about one another, including the uncommon curiosity they share. Most residents have never wondered why the City was built, or what — if anything — exists outside the dome above their heads.
Catherine works at an orphanage; interested more in nurturing the children than her bank account. Indeed, the institution is chronically short of money, and her affection for the kids leads to risky profit-seeking delves.
They meet again by chance; neither really looking for a relationship, but finding unlikely companionship in the other. Trust doesn’t come easy, between a law enforcer and a law breaker, but Lewis gains his own interest in delving, just as she struggles to balance career, hobby, and romance.
It isn’t a simple love story however. Necessities more fundamental than law or love are always in demand, and systems providing food, water, and air all begin to falter one after another.
Lewis and Catherine wish they could just enjoy their burgeoning affections, but as quakes begin to rock the City, they realize the most dangerous parts of their lives — so far — are fast approaching.

Been almost 15 months of crazy symptoms, extreme muscle soreness after minimal excursion, body wide twitching, what I’m pretty sure looks like atrophy in my left thigh, my left leg just feels so off, tremors under any weight, jaw issues, full body Fisculations and weakness….the list goes on, you name it I have it or have experienced it.
I’ve been to see 3 neuros and have been constantly monitored over the past year with check ins on my strength with the neuros assistants. I’ve had 3 EMGs, one at 8 weeks, another at 6 months then another at 1 year. All were clear, my last EMG the neuro said it’s impossible to have *** at this time. The exams were all perfect (had MRIs etc as well).
Today I just went to the gym for the first time since this all started, my left leg feels weirder every day and I get the tightest, most sore muscles after the most minimal manual labour (I pulled the weeds in my garden and the next day my hand strings were shot) I bench pressed today, Squated 140lbs and did numerous other lifts. My neuro said it could be something metabolic so I’m currently looking it this.
I guess this is all to say that I’m trying to shift my perspective, I’m 30YO, I feel like utter shit but I need to start acknowledging what people are saying to me and what I CAN do, I’ve changed my diet, started therapy and now the gym. Maybe I feel a shift soon.
Will keep everyone in the loop with how things transpire and if I get to the bottom of it.

I just recently started watching dance moms (I started watching the season when Jojo joined) and honestly my heart has been breaking for Nia… it must have been so tough to be the only black girl and even I as a white woman have picked up on the racism and micro aggressions - especially when Nia keeps being put in dances where she is the “bad and evil person” like the one with Mackenzie were Nia is supposed to portray a girl who pretends to be her friend but who is secretly jealous of Kenzie and evil and tries to backstab her. Of course the “angry black Woman” has been a racist trope for ages, and it sucks how they reiterated it on Dance Moms. And also the fact that Abby always made it a point to say how Nia isn’t as good as the rest, has never been called beautiful, etc.
It really broke my heart and I don’t understand how Holly, who appears to be smart, educated and hard working, continued to keep Nia in that environment. If I was her I would have taken her out in a heart beat. I wouldn’t have been ok with my daughter keep being put down like that. Curious to see what everyone else’s thoughts are on this and/or if they know why Holly stayed around for so long?

I’ll go first, it infuriated me slightly when Bojack goes to visit Angela Diaz in the end of season 6 and we learn that Angela Diaz had a “partner” whom she refers to as “she” which insinuates that Angela Diaz is gay which irritated me because she went all crusader on Herb after learning he was gay in to get him fired from ABC because “it’s a family network” and was secretly gay her damn self.

So I’ve been thinking a lot about the Featherington subplot, especially considering the new clip that was released yesterday.
Tbh, I was kind of expecting them to drop the “heir race” after season 2 because I thought it might get really complicated and wouldn’t be able to be resolved in one season. But now that it’s confirmed as a part of season 3, I’m actually really excited for it.
I’m probably in the minority, but I don’t really see it concluding in any obvious way. I think Prudence and Philippa just getting pregnant and having the first son is too boring for Shondaland, and also really unsatisfying for the viewers. Especially if they’re going to spend the whole season counting Pen out of the race. I also don’t see Colin and Pen rushing to have a son, since neither one of them has really shown any interest in starting a family right now. They’re both so young, and so much of their story and motivation has been about finding themselves and their purpose. It made sense for Daphne to have a baby immediately, because that was a huge plot point in her season. It doesn’t make sense for 19 year old Penelope who is just starting to find herself and be comfortable in her own skin. As much as I want Polin babies, I think we might have to wait a season or two.
Plus, the title of baron would technically be illegitimate to whoever inherits it since the papers were forged. I don’t see that point disappearing, and I doubt the writers would give Colin and Pen a son with such a huge scandal hanging over their heads.
I’m sure the writers will come up with something great, but one theory I’ve been kicking around is that the conclusion to this subplot might have something to do with Lady Whistledown being revealed to the Queen? I’ve also seen several clips of Nicola joking that Penelope is secretly the richest woman in the ton, so we do know she’s absolutely stacked with Whistledown cash. To be fair, I don’t know how any of this works, but it is Bridgerton so I’m sure we can suspend belief for a second and think that maybe Colin and Pen do inherit the estate, but it’s through their own right and not just because they had the first son.
Curious what other people think! Like I said, I’m sure the writers have something really awesome in store for us. But it’s fun to theorize in the meantime 🥰

It doesn’t make sense for 19 year old Penelope who is just starting to find herself and be comfortable in her own skin. As much as I want Polin babies, I think we might have to wait a season or two.
Plus, the title of baron would technically be illegitimate to whoever inherits it since the papers were forged. I don’t see that point disappearing, and I doubt the writers would give Colin and Pen a son with such a huge scandal hanging over their heads.
I’m sure the writers will come up with something great, but one theory I’ve been kicking around is that the conclusion to this subplot might have something to do with Lady Whistledown being revealed to the Queen? I’ve also seen several clips of Nicola joking that Penelope is secretly the richest woman in the ton, so we do know she’s absolutely stacked with Whistledown cash. To be fair, I don’t know how any of this works, but it is Bridgerton so I’m sure we can suspend belief for a second and think that maybe Colin and Pen do inherit the estate, but it’s through their own right and not just because they had the first son.

My grandma raised me. She’s 94, has dementia, and never knows who I am anymore. Well, she had a really bad day on Mother’s Day. I ended up spoon feeding her, which is not regular, she can usually eat by herself.
Anyway, my little saying for my grandma when I leave is “be a good girl”. She used to always say this to me, it’s kind of our thing, and I secretly hope she will remember me when I say this to her. She always laughs and gets mock offended and it’s just so cute and I CHERISH this moment.
When my partner and I left, I kissed my grandma on the cheek, and my partner says “be a good girl” to my grandma. She did her whole cute mock offended thing and laughed and we said bye.
I got upset. I mean the whole day was upsetting, nothing went as planned, I was overstimulated and exhausted and hungry. I didn’t say anything until I got food in me for fear of being mean.

I live in a town of 50k, I guess we would be considered semi rural. There are also two other towns next to us about the same size and a lot of other tiny townships/communities sprinkled around.
My mom tells me how when I was little she would bike everywhere with me , and then when she had my brother and I was a bit older I would bike behind her. It’s sad that if I wanted to do the same here I would literally be putting our lives at risk. There are no sidewalks anywhere and no space on the side of the road for clearance for pedestrians. You have to be on the road to go anywhere and if a car comes speeding at you you can do nothing because there are ditches on both sides.
I kid you not if I wanted to go see the horses or cattle half a mile away from us I could not do so without a 2 ton truck almost smashing into us.
We have a commercial area with everything from grocery store to cafes to pharmacy to even a garden center about a mile away from our apartment , a state park in the other direction, and a library a bit further, but it is completely inaccessible unless you drive or want to risk your life on the road biking/walking.
When you live in a somewhat rural area outside the larger city like I do I think it’s reasonable for each household to be expected have one car, but we definitely aren’t in the boonies either, there are plenty of businesses and activities and parks around, there is room for so much outside of car dependency.
My husband drives to work 18 minutes away and for the time being I stay home with the baby. Unless I drop him off at work, carpool with someone, or it’s one of the rare days he works remote I am confined to our street. It really f*cking sucks.
We live in such a nice neighborhood with lots of farms and homesteads and woods and forget about going for a walk. And lots of carbrains will just dumbly go “nuh uh” when you bring up investing in car-free accessibility because “that’s for big cities”.
I personally think lots of families would benefit greatly, financially, socially, and in so many other ways, only needing one car instead of two or three and not being forced to drive to do every little thing but what do I know. Especially when you have kids and want to do anything of any kind with them (because they cant play on the streets without becoming roadkill or hang out anywhere near home) you MUST drive the car.

As stated, I cannot find anything I like that is within my original budget ($500-1200). I am going to mount the tv on the wall so I guess just need something to hold audio equipment and ps5 and some tasteful decorations.
I’m looking for something at least 80” up to 120” that is low profile let’s say less than 24”.
The biggest standout to me value-wise is the IKEA BESTÅ but im worried about build quality and construction. I’ve also heard that it’s better to mount it to the wall but read that the holes do not line up with studs.

Me (19M) and my younger sister (17F) both live at home with both our parents, along with my girlfriend, my older sister and my younger brother. My older sister and girlfriend both agree with me when it comes to disliking my sister.
It all kinda started when she got into highschool, she began hanging around the wrong people, just being a general delinquent, constant detentions, behavioural issues ect. That then turned into her an asshole, breaking peoples things like my neighbours wall, she once also through flour all over another neighbours garden for literally no reason, and then refused to apologise and denied it, going into supermarkets and breaking things giving the staff abuse just trying to make a living just general shit like that.
Anyways that was all years ago but as time has gone, she has just gotten worse and worse. She got kicked out of school and put into a kind of disciplinary school which she never tried in and failed all her exams getting no grades whatsoever. She then had to get a job, which she got fired from for constantly being late despite her shifts always starting in the afternoon. So now she does nothing while being at home. For example my dad works weekdays and my mum works Tuesdays Wednesdays, and on those days it’s only her at home and she doesn’t help around the house cleaning but instead leaves it for whoever comes home from work first which is me or my mum most of the time and it isn’t fair. So that’s one part of my hatred
The second part is her blatant ignorance and selfishness. She stays up on the phone with her shit friends till about 3-4am waking me and my dad up, playing music, singing just everything to be annoying. She purposely talks loud because she has to be the centre of attention. She goes live on multiple apps just to argue with people and act hard towards them which again is because she’s so attention hungry but then shows me and my family in those lives despite not wanting to be on camera to a bunch of strangers. That’s essentially the second part.
The third part is her horrible disgusting boyfriend Cameron (m19) this dude is no more than a dirty little rat who constantly cheats on my sister (and I’m serious when I say he cheated with a 14 year old when he was 18). Anyways she excuses everything he does, he once threatened my 11 year old brother, he’s threatened me also, and when I removed him from my house for threatening me I was the bad guy to her. She is so selfish that she’d let this low life wannabe druggie gangster threaten her 11 year old brother? But when one of my friends watched my sister get beaten up and her things smashed up, I cut ties with that friend for that. But no my sister can’t cut ties with someone who’s much worse.
The final part comes to her and other peoples property, I live in the UK so I’m legally allowed to drink, and I’m not a heavy drinker but have a stash of spirits for occasions which she constantly steals from, both her and her friend do. And when they drink they take my car key and drink and smoke in my car stinking it up with the smell of alcohol and smoke. And when telling my parents they say “she’s not doing any harm sat in your car” “it’s better her be there and not on the streets” and when I bring up the alcohol “you probably drank more than you thought” I never drink heavy enough to forget, and my older sister has the exact same issue with her alcohol being stolen.

To give some backstory, last year I met two girls which ended up being in the same class as me, Friend and Classmate. Friend has quite a bad reputation and known for not keeping anything to herself. Because of this, I have never trusted her with anything. On the other hand, Classmate, despite talking shit about Friend, trusted her a lot and told her all her secrets.
Around the middle of the year, Friend started talking to a group of boys who are about one year older than us. Classmate developed an interest in one of the boys, let’s call him Boy, and decided to tell Friend about it. Immediately Friend told everyone she knows about Classmates crush on him. This including, the boy himself.
Disclaimer: Classmate wasn’t aware of this.
A week or so after all this had happened, Friend was still talking about Classmate’s crush on Boy. That same week our school threw a Halloween Party at a venue nearby, all of us attended. This is where things get juicy.
Classmate was walking to the bathroom when one of the boys in the friend group stopped her and told her go hang out with Boy whilst snickering. Classmate was confused by this because she and Boy didn’t talk at all, but brushed it off. When walking out of the bathroom though, it happened again. A girl from the friend group and Boy came up to her and told her “Don’t you have anything to say to Boy?” Again, whilst snickering. Basically, mocking her for liking him. This for obvious reasons annoyed Classmate greatly but surely no one was expecting what she did next.
Friend, is known as, except for toxic, attractive. For this reason, it came as no surprise that she was talking to a lot of boys and in general a lot of boys liked her. During that period she was talking to two guys, let’s call them Flower and Glass. Flower sadly really likes Friend and has been made fun of by my classmates countless times for visiting her, begging her and in general being in a situationship with her when she was talking to other guys and he didn’t really matter to her. Anyway, he visited Friend once again at this party. He got dressed up hoping to stay but had to leave for an emergency. The thing is, once he left, she made out with Glass. Full on made out with him in front of the whole school and principal. She was sitting on him and everything. So, because Classmate wanted revenge, she pulled out her phone and recorded Friend kissing Glass. Later she sent it to the whole school, including me.
Here’s where things get crazy. When people asked me to send them the video of Friend kissing Glass I obviously refused and said Classmate could send it to them(with her permission), as she did want to. For some reason, a few days later Classmate reached out saying she found this very suspicious; as if I was trying to get her in trouble by not sharing it. I called her out as she shouldn’t have filmed it and I’m not in the wrong just because I didnt want to send it. She became so mad at me for that response and blocked me saying I was out to get her.

My headcanon is that his mother is from Sumeru: after all, we know Anfortas and the Schwanenritter took some people to Sumeru after the cataclysm. Moreover Anfortas is likely a member of the Alberich clan, so Kaeya could even be his lineal descendant. In my opinion he feels understood bc the Traveler comes from another world as he also comes from another “world”, Khaenri’ah. And the Traveler has lost his family too, just like Kaeya… * violent sobbing * The Traveler is someone with whom Kaeya can shares thoughts and feelings without worrying about being judged (I mean, the Traveler is not actually part of his family, so he doesn’t feel he is betraying them, he does owe them nothing and they don’t owe him anything), instead he finally feels he has met someone sharing a similar loneliness.
