We've been dating for 8 months, but we've been good friends for about 6 years. I asked her out, got rejected, and pretty much moved on, but three weeks after, she said she actually did like me and we got together.
This is both our first relationships, and we both agreed we wanted to take it seriously. And now we know a lot more about each other, we've both changed as people, and I don't think we're compatible anymore.
She said she's working on it, but she is really bad at communicating. So when she's upset, she'll just snub me or make a face or something. I've warned her that I am not super good at picking up some social cues which she's said is fine, but after having talks about communication and having this happen, I don't really trust her to be truthful. But even with some communication problems, I still loved her.
But about a month ago, we were facetiming while I was trying some new hairstyles for prom, and I was curling my hair outward (kinda like 2003 Strawberry Shortcake?) and thought it was really cute so I showed her and she laughed in my face, like really hard. I grew up a lot of friends and family making fun of how I look, so I think I'm sensitive to these kinds of things. We had a talk about it and resolved things, but it's pretty obvious to me that I haven't really felt anything romantic for her since then.
I've been acting the same as usual, and it's clear she still loves me. She gets me gifts and calls me cute often, and has mentioned that I'm the only person that she's actually comfortable with. But while it used to make me happy, it makes me kind of uncomfortable now. It feels like kissing my friend (which is true I guess). I can do it, but it just is kind of weird.
I'm unfulfilled, bordering unhappy, but I felt really strongly about her before and am afraid I might never find someone that loves me as much again. Is this just a regular relationship phase, or should I break up with her?

It is entirely in the way he looks at her, all before their kiss where he has his "OH I AM IN LOVE WITH MY CLOSE FRIEND" moment lmao.

First of all, very lack luster and I must say these men are so wrong for this. How are you not absolutely enchanted by Pen, she is stunning. This man could not cae less, he is glancing because everyone else is. The other man beside him is literally glancing at Colin because his reaction is SO OBVIOUS LMAO!!! Let's just start by saying these men are dumn. They're absolutely NOT VALID TO BE LOOKING AT HER THIS WAY because Pen is so cute and endearing even tho she is awkward but like they are so put off by the way she is acting. There is no endearment here. She is just some weird woman who is trying and failing to speak to them with Colin just watching and... smiling like a dork? lmao
I think there will be much more of this in the first 2 episodes, but it is just so clear how much he feels for her. He is always the one staring at her in happiness and wonder when everyone else is either uninterested, put off, or ignoring her outright. Colin has always seen her. I cannot WAIT to see him after their kiss absolutely going batshit crazy with longing and yearning for Pen while she is courting Lord Debling. We've already seen some of his stares and I am so here for it!

I’ll start by stating my own opinion. To preface, I’m a 2004-liner and I’ve been a K-Pop fan since 2016. Because of this, I’ve always assumed idols to be older than me. What first changed this assumption was the debut of Itzy back in 2019. Yuna, the youngest member, is only one year older than me. She’s still older than me but the age gap have definitely decreased. I don’t know why but this made me felt kind of old even though I wasn’t even an adult back then. Whatever the case, I was still sure that it will take years until idols of my age or younger would debut.
Then Niki was like, “Let me introduce myself.” As someone who watched I-LAND weekly when it was airing, it was wild watching Niki and Daniel pursuing their dreams while I was laying in bed rooting for them. Even Jungwon, who I just now realized is exactly 5 months older than me, was accomplishing more than what I could ever dreamed of doing. It was impressive seeing them in I-LAND and especially for Niki and Jungwon for managing to debut. However, I don’t know if this is even applicable to me, but I sort of had a midlife crisis. I’m honored that I was able to witnessed the journey of Niki, Jungwon and the other members debuting in Enhypen, but it also made me think to myself, “Wow, I need to get my life together.” (Spoilers: I still haven’t.)
Anyway, back on topic. Am I a fan of Niki, Jungwon and Enhypen as a whole? Absolutely. Although my bias is Heeseung, I like talent and both Niki and Jungwon are overflowing with talent. However, even with the debut of Niki, I was still sure that he was an anomaly, an outlier if you will. Yeah, he’s not. I’m not going to list out every idol that has debuted these past four years who is younger than me because not only there are many, but my self esteem can’t take it man.
My ego aside, returning to the main question, is it alright for fans to like idols that are younger than them? My answer is yes. I understand where people who think otherwise are coming from, but I believe that ultimately you’re a fan of an idol because of their qualities as an artist. For example, I like Niki because he’s a dancing machine and I find his deep voice to be very calming. I like Jungwon because of his voice as well. I don’t how to describe it but his voice is very soothing and smooth, almost as if he’s reading poetry whenever he sings. His voice exudes an aura of grace, I like it a lot. I don’t think there’s anything bad if you’re a fan of them because of their skills. I mean, isn’t that what being a fan is all about?
Now, regarding whether it’s alright for fans to like idols that are younger than them because of their looks. I think it’s completely fine as long as you’re not weird about it. Using myself as an example again, I think Haerin is pretty cute. Her hairstyle and sense of fashion was what first caught my attention (pun intended) when I discovered NewJeans. I also really like her personality because to me, she’s the definition of chill. Her being an introvert is also very relatable since I am also an introvert. These are one of the many reasons why she became my bias. However, ultimately, I like Haerin not only because of looks, her personality, or her skills in singing and dancing, but because she’s an artist. I am a fan of the artist Haerin. There’s nothing more to it. As long as you recognize and respect the boundaries of being a fan, I believe it is fine.

Queen Victoria died in 1901, ushering the Edwardian Era (1901-1910). Puffy sleeves fell out of style, but the Gibson Girl look persists. Ladies hats got bigger and the S-bend corset got popular. Cars, also known at the time as "horseless carriages", were slowly seeping in with the upper classes. Other than that, the 1900s were basically a continuation of the 1890s, with similar aesthetics, music, and styles.

For the time, it was a decade of massive transformations. During the later half, "the Great War" came around, as well as the Spanish Flu. A large number of men went to the battlefields and trenches, women needed to occupy male jobs, new war tech was developing, and propaganda became repent. Throughout the 1910s, cars became more widespread, the airplane was invented, the Radio was slowly rising, and fashion became less uptight and more relaxed compared to the past.

As the Great War and Spanish Flu Pandemic comes to a close, the 1920s begin, finally completely distancing society from the 19th Century. Ah, the famous Roaring Twenties... The Jazz Age, flappers, Art Deco, and the booming of Radio! A rather glamorous and fancy time of clubs and bars. In the United States, it also coincided with the Alcohol Prohibition, which contributed to the rise of this particular zeitgeist in the first place.

Also known as the "Dirty 30s", it was a very awkward and difficult time following the Wall Street Crash of 1929. The Great Depression, the Dust Bowl in the US, the rise of fascism... We also saw the rise of Talkies (movies with sound), color in film, and the Golden Age of Radio. Aesthetically, it was as if people were stuck between the 1920s and 40s, very transitional per se.

The current decade, as of the writing of this description. We are still living it, so things might change down the line, but so far, I can identify some of the vibes, fashion, and aesthetics of the 2020s. Artificial Intelligence, Baggy Y2K revival, foldable phones, RGB lights, and the slow return of maximalism are the characteristics that I identified so far. In short, I want to get this off my chest. I (26F) have been with my fiance (26M) for 4 years. Before him, I was with someone else for 4 years, who cheated on me and was constantly secretive, which caused me significant self-esteem issues for years until we eventually broke up because I just got over the cheating and the feelings faded. Then i just lived my single life for a year and well now I've been with my fiancé for 4 years. He's a complete sweetheart, the best thing that has ever happened to me, and we hardly ever argue; he's truly perfect. BUT I have this ex/acquaintance, I've known him for years but we're not exactly friends anymore, though we see each other 3-4 times a year through mutual friends. A couple of years ago at a birthday party, we sort of officially met even tho we knew each other by names years ago, and at that party, we kinda kissed while tipsy and just started talking. We really hit it off, somehow, and it was really fun. He is absolutely amazing person and so caring, so adorable, i don't even know if he has any red flags. We even kinda dated for a few months but then I moved to another city, he moved to another country, and we just smoothly stopped communicating and we both had fun with other people. Then, some time after that, I met my then boyfriend, now fiancé, and we started our relationship. Now, whenever we see each other with that guy or something, we still talk and it's really nice, but not as close as before. But now, a month ago, we ended up in the same party again and we just hit it off. We talked, we danced, and for some reason, I just rediscovered how beautiful he is, how beautiful his smile is, his expressions, his eyes, his hairstyle, everything. How interesting and nice he is, how sweetly he looks at me. Our eyes met quite a lot that night, and he clearly knows I'm in a relationship and i think he isn't, and we didn't do anything flirtatious, but just those glances and how he tried to make me laugh, etc., it was just so nice and cute. I obviously love my fiance very much, but for some reason, I've repeatedly and also in the past rediscovered how nice and cute he is after every time we saw each other, and this time especially, it's eating me up inside. I wonder if it's because our "relationship" ended without a direct conversation but just fizzled out, yet the time spent was really nice. I hate that it's eating me up inside and I hate that i feel and think this way even though I have the most caring fiancé. Any recommendations how to kinda get over that, because i know we will never be friends again the way we were and we will never be anything more than almost friends. I just want to know what i can do to make me get over those feelings (journaling???), because the last month it has really become bigger and disturbing.

Sometimes I like to style my hair like Fumiko from chainsaw man. Normally I leave it untied, but I think her hairstyle is cute, so when I tie it, it’s usually that. My private school only allows certain methods of tying hair and that isn’t one of them. My family is extremely wealthy to the point that I’ll never need to work, and has a ton of influence. So I told my parents I wanted to be able to do my hair how I like and they got the school to change it for me.
Someone in my class was throwing a fit, but the way I see it, I should be allowed to wear it however makes me feel happy.
Tl;dr: got rules changed for myself

My 6 year old daughter had been oddly self conscious lately. She won't wear a new hairstyle to school because it's "embarassing." She won't wear a bathing suit she chose because it's a tankini and shows a tiny sliver of her belly. She's cute and tiny so I can't figure out what even gave her the idea to be embarrassed or self conscious. Is this normal this early on? I remember being super self conscious as a kid, but not until that awkward phase around 10-11 when I got chunky and kids started making comments about my appearance. She says no one has made fun of her hair or clothes at school so what gives? I'm not sure how to respond.

• Very slow to boot up, honestly thought my computer had crashed. It could be my computer. It's a gaming computer, but getting a little old now. It does run RimWorld, Minecraft, Skyrim, Borderlands, etc with no issues, though.
  
• Very minimal accessibility settings in the Settings menu. There's Audio with 4 sliders for overall volume, music, sound effects, and ambient volume. Graphics, with a checkbox each for fullscreen and V-sync, a slider for volumetric fog quality, and a dropdown each for quality preset, general quality, resolution, and clouds quality. There is a Controls menu with a slider for camera sensitivity (no numbers or visible markers, just a plain slider), and a checkbox each to make sprint a toggle, turn on auto-walk, toggle collecting, and toggle aiming. There is a single button to reset all settings from Audio, Graphics, and Controls all at once.
  
• 3 save slots available.
  
• Prologue map is what is included in the demo, and leaving that area will end the demo.
  
• Controller support not fully implemented yet, but controller scheme is in the Contols menu when paused. I tried using my controller and sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, but it's clearly on the docket.
  
• Character is customizable. 3 light skintones, one of which is light brown, 2 dark brown-- the jump between the last 2 brown tones is significant, whereas the 2 lightest skintones are only barely different. The character is generally pretty femme presenting no matter how you tweak the character settings. There's not really a flat-chested option if that's important to you. 2 of the 5 outfits are dresses, the other 3 have some other "feminine" touches like lace. Their name will always be Reka.
  

There are 5 tattoo options, 3 of which are fingehand tattoos, one very visible tattoo for the front of the neck, and one very small one for next to an eye-- or no tattoos. 2 curly hairstyles, a shorn style, 2 wavy braided styles, and the other 6 options are straight hair in various lengths/styles.
There are 2 sliders for Freckle Amount and Freckle Intensity. 12 eye color options, 3 or 4 shades each of brown, green, blue, and grey. No fantasy colors (pink, purple, etc). 3 sliders for hair Color, Warmth, and Brightness. 6 eyebrow types. Accessory options include a lacy choker, a set of rings for each hand (hard to see but cute), and 2 head kerchiefs that switch your hairstyle to the one that "goes with" the kerchief.

• Button Remapping seems to be available in the Pause menu during the demo.
  
• There is free-cam. This will require the use of both thumbsticks on a controller, or WASD + mouse. However, the game is paced slow enough (so far) that if you can only use one hand to play you may still be able to play. I didn't come across any quick-time events in the demo.
  
• Everything kinda melds into everything else visually. It all kinda has this grey-brown wash that makes things... harder on the eyes in terms of picking things out? Especially if you get glare from the in-game sun, which is tbh pretty painful.
  
• No colorblind mode or high contrast mode, which kinda ties in with the point above. In the character creation menu and pause menu, there are non-color indicators of what you've selected. A diamond shape next to the option in the pause menu, and a fancy second outline in the character creation menu for thumbnails, or a circle if you're using a slider like for eye color. But during gameplay there are some things that may be difficult to pick out if you're colorblind or have low-vision, just due to the lower tone contrast between things and only sometimes having sparkly indicators (there are none in some instances) like some games have for interactables.
  
• The sun does eventually go down, so there is a daylight/night cycle in the game.
  
• There's a bar-compass for navigation (like in Skyrim) and you must meet Baba Yaga to unlock a map. If you go in the right direction for a bit you'll see an icon for your house on the compass.
  
• The camera feels a touch jerky. I tweaked the camera sensitivity down, and even then sometimes the camera feels a little jerky. I struggle with vertigo, so for other folks who do, beware.
  
• Text is white, a serif font, and not adjustable in size, font, color, or contrast. No contrast box around the text to make it pop. So far the size of the text has been okay for me, but I think the dialogue text in specific would be a pain for anyone with low vision, playing on Steam Deck/ROG Ally, or anyone who's dyslexic as the font feels a bit narrow and crowded. Also the text for the button prompt is way too small even on my (good sized) monitor that I'm close up to. The text in the journal you eventually get is also on the small side, low contrast, and item headers are in "fun" fonts that may be a pain for dyslexic and low vision users.
  
• Typo(s?)-- minor quabble but one of the villagers told me to "stay save" instead of "stay safe".
  
• You get to carry a baby goat. For a lil quest from a villager.
  
• Rewards for villagers' tasks are often decor from what I've seen in the demo.
  
• There are some cute visual touches, like things you've gathered hanging off Reka's backpack.
  
• You can read and interact with other things while carrying something-- don't do it (yet). That's how I glitched the giant Fabergé egg under the floor of Baba Yaga's hut (I could see it between the planks, but couldn't interact/pick it back up.
  
• Gathering distant things requires holding two buttons at once, similar to aiming down sights and then firing in some games.
  
• Baba Yaga is sassy. 10/10, no notes, I love her.
  

All in all, I think it's fun and it'll be cute. But not terribly accessible for anyone with vertigo or visual issues, unless the devs tweak some things. I like the visual style, though I wish things were a little more distinct so it's a little easier to see things.

Hi, I’m teenage guy going to college this fall and I don’t know much about fashion, when I tried buying my own clothes I didn’t like them. What I’ve realized is that I am into clothes that are cozy, without lots of seams, bright/deep color, etc- looking for kind of an androgynous look, not anything ‘hardcore’ or really masculine. And I’m sort of a twink, I wanna look more cute and youthful. I need different summer and winter outfits, but summer obviously is what I’m looking for currently, especially things I can wear outdoors.
I am trying to look more chill. I love loose earthtones like oversized green hoodies/solid sweaters, maybe carpenter pants, and my yellow converses. I absolutly despise my face. At first I thought it could be solved by makeup, or a hairstyle or something, but I have come to realize that I hate the shape itself. Too pronouced cheeckbones, overall too long, eyes too deep.....
I just feel like I can never be pretty, or cute, or even pass. There is nothing I can do. I hate this so much. I will never get a boyfriend. And I can't even end myself, I don't have the will for that anymore either.

I've known I was a lesbian since I was 14 years old, since then I have already been out to almost everyone in my life, including all my friends and my cousins (turns out two of them are queer too). Now I’m moving abroad (if I pass the exams) for the next four years.
I’m an only daughter and my mom is a single mother; you can imagine how nervous she is about me being alone in a whole new country. The homophobia in my country is way more extreme than where I’m going, so I’m really excited about how it may feel do gay things in a freer way, even if it means distancing my relationship with my mom (and potentially hurting her) because tbh lies are what ruins relationships.
Now why I’m not sure about telling her: My family is the type of racist, homophobic, and misogynist family that doesn’t act like they are in their daily life. We have gay family friends, my mom is a single mother and CEO, we are medium class and mixed race. However, they crack jokes about how my grandma loves my "whiter" cousin more, how my other cousin loving volleyball makes him a bit gay (he's the only straight cousin), if someone mentions abortion even my mom turns pale. ITS LIKE A GREAT CONTRADICTION. My mom is greatly influenced by them, and she will ask them opinions and advice once I tell her.
Now why I’m sure I should tell her already: I’m openly a raging lesbian to almost everyone I know, I have two paintings of naked women in my room, I have stickers of the queer and lesbian flags in my wall, she gave me a ride to me and my friends' first pride last year, I have no male friends except from a twink and the first time a man decided to hit on me was in front of her just as I had finished my swimming training (don't do that), I panicked, gave him my ig as he asked and then ran away with my mom, I then told her he was ugly... bro he had an athletic body, no clothes on more than his little swimsuit and my straight bestie told me he was in fact "delicious and voluptuous" (I was traumatized). I ghosted him. Now you see... I’m sure she must have doubts about my sexuality, right?
tl;dr: worst case scenario: she won't pay for any of my trip and new life expenses and take away the opportunity of a lifetime just so he can keep me under "control." Best case scenario: "Bubye my sweet gold star chapstick lesbian, bring a cute femme gf home this Christmas!" (She understood and did her homework). Realistic scenario: she might accept me but not understand me yk, and I dont know how much that will ruin our relationships compare to just lying to her for I don't know how much longer.
Extra: I’m the younger cousin, none of us are out, I’m the first one moving abroad. All of my queer friends are still in the closet so there is no one I can ask for advice.

I have had some medical things going on which makes me feel less feminine and pretty, and I’ve been struggling at work because I’ve observed that people see me as childish because of how I dress, my special interests, and the “toys” at my desk (I am 42).
I am fat and I work in IT, so I normally wear graphic t-shirts and jeans or hiking pants to work and wear slip on shoes in the office. I have poor temperature regulation and tend to overheat. I am looking for suggestions on things to wear to work that will be functional, comfortable, but also professional.
Due to the nature of my work I can’t wear business casual, some aspects of my job are dirty and physical. They have a “no leggings” policy but I received praise when I wore a long tunic with leggings so I think they mean leggings where your butt isn’t covered. We also can’t wear sandals or shorts.
I really struggle with trying new things, even something as simple as a new hairstyle, so I am looking for suggestions of things to try that may have worked for others, thank you!
