We sleep trained once on our own at 4 months but things were getting worse again so we hired a sleep coach at 7 months. She advertised on her website she doesn’t do cry it out (no judgment against this method, I completely understand its necessity, this is a relevant detail for later). Her schedule change alone made a huge difference, plus adjusting how we handled night wakings/feedings. He started sleeping through the night on night 3. Yay sleep!
We would be thrilled with his schedule as is if he was totally happy and not tired. But he’s averaging 13.5 hours of sleep total, and it seems like maybe he needs a little more as he’s still tired. He occasionally has a short nap, and a slightly early morning waking
His schedule (from the coach) is: 7:30 bedtime Desired DWT is 7 but he is waking 6-6:30 still tired. 10:00 nap (or 3 hours after wake time/when we get him from crib), capped at an hour and a half. 2:45 nap capped at 4pm. Can be moved to 2:30 if needed but no earlier. So that middle wake window ranges from 3.25-3.75. And final wake window is 3.5
He wakes on his own from most naps, but I occasionally have to wake him.
Our sleep coach’s advice is a version of crib hour but an (IMO) unreasonable extension of it that Ive never seen before. She says if he wakes early from a nap to leave him there no matter how hard or how long he cries, not until the crib hour is up, but as long as it takes for him to fall back to sleep, she said even if it goes over an hour of intense crying. Same for EMW. No matter what, leave him to cry, again not until DWT, but as long as it takes for him to fall asleep. If he doesn’t fall back asleep, he is not being left alone for long enough (her words).
Isn’t this sort of cry it out, only much less reasonable?? He has independent sleep skills already. And the sleep pressure is so low after a short nap or a long night sleep, correct? The two times we attempted this (no where near as long as she said) he was very upset even after we got him from the crib and took awhile to calm down. She insists he is fine and does not care we are uncomfortable with his distress level. It just seems so weird to claim you are against cry it out, and use a more gradual method for bedtime and night wakings when sleep pressure is the highest (it’s essentially the chair method) but then have this as your ONLY option for short naps and EMW. Plus he would be hungry?? This also feels very unreasonable when there is a day of activities to be getting on with.
Has anyone tried this method and found it works? We are currently not following it as it isn’t sitting right with us. But I don’t want to avoid doing something that would genuinely help him get that last little bit of sleep. Or does anyone have alternate suggestions on how to fix the EMW?
The consultant is against me settling him back down for a short nap but I always read it’s fine to rescue a short nap 🤷‍♀️. He can put himself back to sleep during naps after the first sleep cycle, he just occasionally struggles to. Does anyone else do this and not ruin the sleep training?
Yesterday he woke from his second nap at 45 minutes, so he was awake 4 hours 3:30 to 7:30 and he slept til 7. But his total sleep for the day was still 13.5ish (11.5 overnight, and 2 hrs daytime). Is it possible he just won’t go past that? And he’s only still tired because he’s adjusting to the new schedule?

Love the game. But here are some of my biggest issues with the current version

• Sound is very inconsistent. Sometimes you can’t even be sure if it was your teammate five feet away from you that shot their gun. Footsteps around buildings and across multiple stories are very confusing. But sometimes, it all works perfectly. Hopefully this is fixed/enhanced as sound in this type of game is massive.
  
• Spawns. I get farm is small but often times you spawn wayyy too close to a 4 man. In turn you’re less likely run into other players outside of your initial moments in the raid.
  
• Lack of stat counting. I love to see my operator kills. But the game lumps them in with “eliminations” — I would love to see the game have more detailed stat trackers. They have a good match history section that’s awesome though.
  
• Lack of solo queue as an operator is kind of odd. Too many times have I loaded into a raid looking to be a pacifist and my random picks a fight and gets us killed.
  
• the game needs an incentive to NOT kill other covert ops. I’m not saying that you should implement karma like tarkov has (I don’t like that system) but maybe implement a “bonus” of sorts that your employer as a covert operative gives you if you go through the raid without blowing your cover as an imposter. This would make it less likely that some other imposter doesn’t blow your head off when you have absolutely nothing.
  
• sound design around the guns could have more OOMF. I would love to see the guns really feel like murder machines if the sound of the gunshots were a bit more crispy and explosive.
  

I recently found out that there is a local gloryhole not far from where I live. I'm not very experienced (and so probably not very good) when it comes to sucking dick so I thought it would be a good way to get more experience but of course I was thinking with my dick and not my head and visited it without really thinking through it all.
The first time I went was during the day and when I turned up, there was toilet paper stuffed in the hole and one of the stalls was locked so I thought that whoever monitored the toilets had tried to put a stop to it and went home. Decided to visit again later that night by chance and a guy saw me go into the toilets, followed me in and stuck his dick through.
It wasn't the greatest experience. There was a lot less to work with as I couldn't play with his balls and any time I tried to deepthroat I basically had to squash my face against the wall which I could only do so many times because it was uncomfortable. I sucked him for what seemed like forever and then left before he came because I felt like it was going nowhere. He was also silent throughout the whole thing and didn't direct me on what to do.
Anyone have any tips when it comes to gloryholes?
Is it normal for guys to stay silent and let you do your thing or do they take control?
Do they let you know when you're about to cum?
I'm completely new to cruising so I have no idea how it all works. Appreciate any tips! :)

Sensitive topic - video voyerism & recent transition post crime trigger warning
Hey yall, I hate to bring this shit to your table but I need some guidance in a legal matter & some input from your community.
Last yr a guy broke into the women’s bathroom I was using & took photos of me while I was pissing. Male/male presenting. They have done this at least 4 other confirmed times in other states. Victims are always female. The trial is in a couple of months.
Found their Facebook pg & they transitioned from male to female about 3 weeks after the incident.
Stating things like “this is not an impulsive decision” & sharing that the outfit they were wearing in the accompanying pic was their first outfit of feminine clothing & crowdfunding asking for help buying more. Whereas just a week prior they made a post referring to themselves as a man. (Other things of note on the profile is that the seem to be schizophrenic/ have a god complex)
This feels fishy, the timeline of the transition especially. I’m concerned about this person having easier access to the women’s bathroom in the future due to this transition, as they’ve proven to be a repeat offender. I need some guidance on how to approach this in my victim impact statement. I want to be extremely respectful to the trans community, and I understand that bathroom predator rhetoric is really frustrating & damaging. So this is a really nuanced situation where I respectfully am asking for help.

Back in 2021 I ended up landing a graduate data analytics role as part of a graduate scheme at one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
It was a good role for me at the time, working on large projects, learning SQL, PowerBI, some python and at the same time gaining some consulting skills. However one of the main things I did not like during my role as a data analyst, was the fact that a lot of my work was quite repetitive in terms of the tasks that I would be carrying out on a day-day basis, with rather low pay progression whilst at the company and as a result started looking into higher paying roles.
After 11 months in my role as a data analyst I decided upon a career within tech sales. There was an opportunity for me to make 50-100% more than what I was making with my first role and I took it. This is where things went slightly left.
I'll try keep this part short.After sometime working in sales it didn't work out as planned for me. My first company was really bad, no proper sales training and lack of direction across the board. After 8 months into the role the company decided to have there first round of layoffs and as a result the entire team (my sales team) was laid off. I spent some time travelling and found another sales role some time afterward. Unfortunately this company was only slightly better. Lack of product market fit, bad management, lack of support for the UK team. After 7 months of being there, I was put on a PIP and accepted that I would be leaving the role.
That brings me to today. Looking back I regret my decision to leave. I enjoyed my time at sales but after the unfortunate events and the nature of the work (cold calling, lots of ups and downs) it just wasn't for me.
I have decided that I want to build a career within data analytics and continue from where I left.
I would appreciate it if anyone has gone through a similar scenario or career switched into data analytics.
What is the best way to get back into analytics with my current experience? Any tips in general or regarding interview processes as they will probably vary from my previous role?

Having some issues since the update with Mapping my gamepad. Whenever I attempt to map something with the Modifier button (left bumper) it seems to just straight up not recognize that I'm pressing LB. Also when trying to map the different Analog directions it seems to spit out random characters when I input the X or Y axis with the analog stick.
Using a xbox controller (via bluetooth) . and I also tried a knock off xbox controller that I can plug in. both have the same issue.

Gotta love it. Our local HCA hospital, which has had a whole host of issues as of late just sent my wife's bill to collections.
Back story:
My wife had a lipoma removal last November. Because of it's location on the back of the neck, they had her do the removal at the hospital. Out patient, was there for... six hours. We have gotten (and paid) bills for the surgeon, the anesthesiologist, the biopsy, pre op medical visit, and a bill for the 'room'. Then a few weeks ago we get another bill for 2700$. But this one doesn't say anywhere what it's for, just a bill from the hospital. So... we called up, and asked for an itemized bill, and followed up with a letter requesting an itemized bill. We don't have an issue paying for it, but we wanted to see what that 2700$ was for. And yet, yesterday, we got a letter from a medical debt collection agency demanding payment in full. We never got an itemized bill. I'll be honest, I'm a little surprised, and I know I shouldn't be. The same hospital tried to charge me 1800$ for a tetanus shot and a butterfly bandage.
(Side story: about 8 years ago I was half asleep trying to make my kids frozen waffles. I grabbed a steak knife to separate the frozen waffles, not my finest decision, and the tip of the knife went straight into my finger. It was 6:30 am, and it wouldn't stop bleeding. My wife insisted we go to the ER. So I went... they wiped it off, gave me a tetanus shot and threw a butterfly bandage on it.. and then told me since my deductible was 1800$ for the ER, the charge was 1800$. BUT... if it paid it right now, it would only be 1700$. I laughed at the woman telling me this, much to her annoyance. At the time I worked for a cardiology group doing IT work for them who did procedures at the same hospital. the medical head saw my finger, asked me what happened. I told him about it and the charge... he shook his head, took out his cell phone made a 3 minute call and bam... all charges gone.)
So what next? I've seen some places where people say you can request an itemized bill from the collection agency, but I've seen others say you can't. I don't work for the cardiology group anymore, so that's not really an option (though I left on good terms) Anyone have any suggestions?

$4,070.12 that’s what I originally invested. As a single mom, I basically cleaned out my checking and savings account. And I just put that money out of my head. It wasn’t mine anymore. It was tribute for something much bigger than me.
Over the last fews years, that money was sitting in the back of my mind. As a person with a MS degree sitting in this bullshit economy where every month I’m spending more on just my standard bills than I was making. A degree that I took out tens of thousands of student loans to get. Trying to take side jobs here and there just so I could scrape by. Rent increased 7%, groceries seemingly skyrocketing, even my utilities were going up. Racking up tens of thousands in debt bc I had no other option while also being one of the “lucky ones” bc I got a 3% COL raise that didn’t even cover my rent increase. Sometimes I would think it might be worth it to take the giant fucking loss I would have experienced and sold my shares. But even then that money wouldn’t have scratched the surface. It would’ve been a month bandaid.
I think knowing that was how I would financially justify it in my head. In my heart, I knew I wasn’t gonna pull it. I’m still not gonna pull it. Not until WS and all those AHs experience even a fraction of the shit they’ve put us through for years.
The economy has been bad for us for decades, since the 70s, really. So the last few years isn’t new. It isn’t just them splitting pies while we fight over crumbs. CEOs, HFs, mega corps, the 1% have been baking whole ass new pies for themselves while we fight over crumbs from our parents’ generation. While they tell us we just need to stop buying in bulk, buy more lentils, budget better, save money even though we can’t pay our bills, don’t do anything that gives us an ounce of joy in this dystopian world bc “Nobody said this would be fun.”
I’m not going to be hyped until they lose their homes, yachts, vacation homes, all their property. Not until their bank accounts look like mine. I’ll pass these shares to my children in a will if that’s what it takes. I won’t be happy until we can pop bottles above them as they cry about losing their homes. I'm an aging 4.5 player (about to hit 40+ leagues) and noticing my singles baseline grinder game is not very sustainable. I play a great first set, and gas in the second. Currently been trying all kinds of racquets. Played the Pro Staff RF97 for matches where I needed heavier shots to avoid getting pushed around and it allows me to attack but really hard to play with later in matches esp in summer. Loved the feel and control of the Blade 98 V8 but noticed my opponents didn't have as much trouble with my shots (maybe lack of heavy ball or underpowered). Tried the Yonex ezone 98 (weighted a little with leather grip) which felt great too but didn't have the precision or control over my shots that I had with the RF or Blade. Also tried the Dunlop sx 300 tour, and hated it. Way too stiff, no sweet spot, just felt terrible. Thinking about trying regular pro staff v14, Blade (maybe weighting with leather grip), technifibre, head radical pro? Any ideas?
My play style used to be spin, angles, baseline grinding when I dominated 4.0. But then I got bumped to 4.5 and got old and can't grind out 10 shot rallies every point. Now trying to play more aggressive and flatten some shots out, looking to attack and come in and shorten points.

Every year my nmom (against my wishes) incorporates videos of me talking about when I was sick with a serious, life threatening illness to “show theme in a story”. It doesn’t connect. At all. She does it every year.
This year, as you might see in my other posts, I moved out, broke most contact, and we are not on good terms. She is STILL using the videos of me. I have voiced how I hate these videos as I was very young and scared and sick.
Even when we are done speaking to each other, she is STILL using my illness to make her appear more friendly, kind, and motherly. The truth is, during my illness, she frequently told me she hoped I’d die during my surgery/treatment. I was 11.
Now we work in the same building, but that’s it. I’m quitting today. I’ll finish the last 4 weeks, but next year, I’m not coming back. I’m done.

I’m curious as to what I can do about my situation. I have been with a company since they have opened on day one (a little over a year ago) and I’ve been a server with them. I’ve loved the job, put in the work and effort etc and I even have the most 5 star reviews written about my service and skills on our website. Now after about 7-8 months of working with the company, I did notice the turnover rate started to become higher. But I wasn’t worried as I felt like a dedicated employee to my position. Which I was. I had a few sick calls here and there but I have evidence of me offering to provide doctors notes/form etc for the days I needed off but they were denied. Fast forward to the last 4 months, I was only being scheduled in 2-4days a week (one shift would usually be an on call in which I was never needed) and never on weekends. My grandfather also has early onset Alzheimer’s and I care for him on weekends now, I informed my management about having to care for my grandfather and they reduced my hours even more. (Even tho I haven’t worked a Fri/Sat/Sun in months!), and when I tried to complain about it I was told I was unreliable and the other server her shifts first since they can work any day of the week… it just doesn’t make sense to me. A few days ago I reached out via email to my head office for advice, with no response. yesterday I woke up to a text message stating: “I’d like to thank you for your time and efforts at ___. Unfortunately, this will be the end of your employment. I’d like to apologize for any inconveniences may cause.” I was given absolutely no reasoning, no warnings, no write ups etc and I have always put the most effort into my work while on shift.
So I’m just wondering is there anything I can do? I clearly don’t want to “fight for the job back” because I can clearly find somewhere better but if I can do anything about this to prevent it from happening to anyone else (WHICH IS ALREADY HAPPENING) I’d love to do that.
