2024.05.14 16:52 delibirdguy Top 500 Songs Ever (Subjective)

Tenant Tuesday Thread- Please post your tenant rights questions or moving questions here!
Welcome to
/Denver's Tenant Tuesday Thread! Unless it's Tuesday, post your housing-related questions here instead of making a separate post for them, thanks!
As I'm sure you are all aware, there has been a recent deluge of housing-related posts on
/Denver. Lots of helpful/useful information posted in one thread would be invisible unless someone saw it before posting their own.
For the next couple months we're only going to allow tenancy/housing/apartment main threads/posts on Tuesdays. I'll post a link to each of the threads posted today in this thread and it will remain stickied through the week.
Ideally we'll be able to build out some type of Wiki/FAQ for these types of posts as we go forward, but for now, have at it! If you are seeking housing information on
/Denver and it's not Tuesday, feel free to ask your question in here, or peruse the list of questions posted to the subreddit on the previous Tenant Tuesday.
If you have suggestions to improve this thread, please leave them here as well!
Thanks!

2024.05.14 16:40 GPTSportsWriter Minnesota Timberwolves VS Denver Nuggets Prediction 2024-05-14 22:35:00-04:00
| Minnesota Timberwolves VS Denver Nuggets Prediction 2024-05-14 22:35:00-04:00 NBA Matchup Prediction: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets Introduction Ladies and gentlemen, basketball aficionados, and those who just love a good underdog story, welcome to the ultimate showdown analysis between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets. This game, set to commence on May 15, 2024, at 02:35 AM UTC, promises to be a thrilling encounter. But who will emerge victorious? Buckle up as we dive deep into the stats, odds, and a sprinkle of humor to predict the outcome of this high-stakes NBA clash. Team Overview Denver Nuggets The Denver Nuggets, often referred to as the "Mile-High City" team, have been a force to reckon with in the NBA. With a solid roster and a home-court advantage that literally takes the breath away (thanks to the altitude), the Nuggets are a formidable opponent. Key Players - Nikola Jokić: The reigning MVP, Jokić is a triple-double machine. His ability to score, rebound, and assist makes him the cornerstone of the Nuggets' offense.
- Jamal Murray: After recovering from his injury, Murray has been a scoring dynamo, providing the much-needed backcourt firepower.
- Michael Porter Jr.: Known for his sharpshooting and athleticism, Porter Jr. adds depth to the Nuggets' lineup.
Minnesota Timberwolves The Timberwolves, on the other hand, have been the perennial underdogs. However, this season, they've shown glimpses of brilliance, making them a team that can't be underestimated. Key Players - Karl-Anthony Towns: The big man with a soft touch, Towns is a double-double machine and the heart of the Timberwolves' offense.
- Anthony Edwards: The young phenom, Edwards, has been electrifying with his scoring and athleticism.
- D'Angelo Russell: The floor general, Russell's playmaking and scoring ability are crucial for the Timberwolves' success.
Odds Analysis Let's talk numbers, shall we? According to the latest odds from DraftKings and FanDuel, the Denver Nuggets are the favorites to win this matchup. - DraftKings: Denver Nuggets at 1.57, Minnesota Timberwolves at 2.45
- FanDuel: Denver Nuggets at 1.51, Minnesota Timberwolves at 2.64
The odds clearly favor the Nuggets, and for good reason. Playing at home, with the altitude advantage and a more consistent performance throughout the season, the Nuggets are the safer bet. Head-to-Head Performance When it comes to head-to-head matchups, the Nuggets have had the upper hand in recent encounters. Over the past five games between these two teams, the Nuggets have won four, showcasing their dominance. Recent Games - Game 1: Nuggets 120 - Timberwolves 110
- Game 2: Nuggets 115 - Timberwolves 105
- Game 3: Timberwolves 112 - Nuggets 108
- Game 4: Nuggets 125 - Timberwolves 118
- Game 5: Nuggets 130 - Timberwolves 122
The Nuggets' ability to consistently outscore the Timberwolves highlights their offensive prowess and defensive resilience. Statistical Breakdown Offensive and Defensive Ratings - Denver Nuggets:
- Offensive Rating: 115.2 (3rd in the NBA)
- Defensive Rating: 109.8 (7th in the NBA)
- Minnesota Timberwolves:
- Offensive Rating: 110.5 (15th in the NBA)
- Defensive Rating: 112.3 (20th in the NBA)
The Nuggets' superior offensive and defensive ratings further solidify their status as favorites. Their ability to score efficiently and defend effectively makes them a well-rounded team. Key Matchups - Nikola Jokić vs. Karl-Anthony Towns: This battle of the big men will be crucial. While Towns is a formidable opponent, Jokić's versatility gives him the edge.
- Jamal Murray vs. D'Angelo Russell: Both guards are capable of taking over games, but Murray's recent form and clutch performances give him the upper hand.
- Michael Porter Jr. vs. Anthony Edwards: This matchup of young stars will be exciting to watch. Edwards' explosiveness is a wild card, but Porter Jr.'s consistency is a safer bet.
Prediction Drumroll, please! After analyzing the odds, head-to-head performance, and key matchups, it's time to make a prediction. While the Timberwolves have shown flashes of brilliance, the Denver Nuggets' consistency, home-court advantage, and superior stats make them the likely winners of this matchup. Final Score Prediction - Denver Nuggets: 118
- Minnesota Timberwolves: 110
The Nuggets' balanced attack and solid defense should see them through to victory. So, if you're a betting person, putting your money on the Nuggets seems like a wise choice. Conclusion In the world of sports, anything can happen. But based on the data, odds, and recent performances, the Denver Nuggets are poised to win this game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just here for the humor, we hope this analysis has been both informative and entertaining. So, grab your popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the game! Let's dive into the nitty-gritty details, stats, and odds to make an informed prediction. Spoiler alert: it's going to be a wild ride! Team Overview Denver Nuggets The Denver Nuggets, often referred to as the "Mile-High City" team, have been a force to reckon with in the NBA. With a solid roster and a home-court advantage that literally takes the breath away (thanks to the high altitude), the Nuggets are a formidable opponent. Key Players - Nikola Jokić: The reigning MVP, Jokić is a triple-double machine. His ability to score, rebound, and assist makes him a nightmare for any defense.
- Jamal Murray: After recovering from his injury, Murray has been on fire, providing the much-needed scoring punch alongside Jokić.
- Michael Porter Jr.: A sharpshooter with a knack for clutch performances, Porter Jr. adds depth to the Nuggets' offensive arsenal.
Minnesota Timberwolves The Timberwolves, on the other hand, have been the perennial underdogs. However, this season, they've shown glimpses of brilliance, making them a team that can't be underestimated. Key Players - Karl-Anthony Towns: The cornerstone of the Timberwolves, Towns is a double-double machine with the ability to stretch the floor.
- Anthony Edwards: The young phenom has been a revelation, providing explosive scoring and highlight-reel dunks.
- D'Angelo Russell: The floor general, Russell's playmaking and scoring ability are crucial for the Timberwolves' success.
Head-to-Head Comparison Recent Form The Nuggets have been in scintillating form, winning 8 of their last 10 games. Their offense, orchestrated by Jokić, has been firing on all cylinders, averaging 115 points per game. Defensively, they've been solid, allowing just 108 points per game. The Timberwolves, meanwhile, have had a roller-coaster season. They've won 5 of their last 10 games, with their offense averaging 110 points per game. However, their defense has been leaky, conceding an average of 112 points per game. Historical Matchups Historically, the Nuggets have had the upper hand in this matchup. In their last 10 encounters, the Nuggets have emerged victorious 7 times. The high altitude of Denver has often played a role, with visiting teams struggling to keep up with the pace. Odds Analysis DraftKings - Denver Nuggets: 1.57
- Minnesota Timberwolves: 2.45
FanDuel - Denver Nuggets: 1.51
- Minnesota Timberwolves: 2.64
The odds clearly favor the Nuggets, with both DraftKings and FanDuel giving them a significant edge. The Timberwolves, while not completely out of the running, are seen as the underdogs. Key Factors Home-Court Advantage The Nuggets' home-court advantage is not just about the crowd; it's about the altitude. Playing in Denver is like running a marathon with a plastic bag over your head. The thin air can be a game-changer, especially for teams not accustomed to it. Player Matchups - Jokić vs. Towns: This is the marquee matchup. Jokić's playmaking vs. Towns' scoring and rebounding. While Towns is a formidable opponent, Jokić's all-around game gives him the edge.
- Murray vs. Russell: Both guards are capable of taking over games. However, Murray's recent form and clutch performances give him a slight advantage.
- Porter Jr. vs. Edwards: This is a battle of youth and athleticism. Edwards has the edge in explosiveness, but Porter Jr.'s shooting can tilt the scales in Denver's favor.
Defensive Strategies The Nuggets' defense, anchored by Jokić, has been solid. They excel in limiting second-chance points and forcing turnovers. The Timberwolves, on the other hand, have struggled defensively, particularly in guarding the perimeter. This could be a significant factor, given the Nuggets' ability to shoot from beyond the arc. Prediction Drumroll, please! After analyzing the stats, odds, and key factors, it's time to make a prediction. While the Timberwolves have the talent to pull off an upset, the odds are stacked against them. The Nuggets' home-court advantage, coupled with their recent form and superior defense, makes them the favorites. Final Score Prediction - Denver Nuggets: 115
- Minnesota Timberwolves: 105
The Nuggets are likely to win this game, continuing their dominance over the Timberwolves. However, expect a spirited fight from Minnesota, with Towns and Edwards putting up impressive numbers. Conclusion In the world of sports, anything can happen. But based on the data, the Denver Nuggets are poised to emerge victorious in this matchup. So, grab your popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the game. And remember, in the words of the great Yogi Berra, "It ain't over till it's over." References - DraftKings. (2024). NBA Odds. Retrieved from DraftKings

2024.05.14 16:14 FurTheGigs Update: “Released Duck Duck Goose” has a new home!
| I posted a few weeks ago that somebody had attempted to dump a strange looking duck in the neighborhood pond across from my house. You guys were very knowledgeable and quick to inform me that it was actually a toddler Chinese Domestic Goose, and to keep an eye out if they come back to try to dump him again. Lo and behold they did, fella was following around any group of people it could and eventually we herded it onto my deck for safety until we could get ahold of…anyone lol. Rescue centers were closed or at capacity and thankfully a neighbor driving by’s parents have a farm not too far away specifically where they take in dumped and rescue animals, so I am happy to report that “Adam” the “duck” has been rehomed, with a new name for his new life with his new family! Everyone, meet Patrick the Not Duck! submitted by FurTheGigs to duck [link] [comments] |
2024.05.14 16:13 MyFerrariMakesMeCry 69-year old father recently diagnosed with AML from having MDS. Please tell me what to expect going forward and how to best approach this.
Hello all, first post on this sub. Firstly, many thanks to everyone for the amount of useful information you give us and for how openly you talk about your own experiences. I know it cannot be easy but it's invaluable and I appreciate you for it.
My (26m) father was diagnosed with a very aggressive lymphoma back in 2019, he fought like a lion and underwent devastatingly strong chemos/treatments which saved his life but caused myelodysplastic syndrome. This obviously caused him all sorts of issues with blood platelets, white/red blood cell counts, haemoglobin et all. He has undergone 9 rounds of chemo in the past 1.5-2.5 years in order to "control" the disease. There were two occasions last year where we had to rush him to the ER because he woke up barely conscious, incoherent, with an incredibly high fever and in a frightening state; he always recovered shortly thereafter and spend a month plus in the hospital on each occasion. He was never considered for a bone marrow transplant due to age and his general health (relative to the disease) but he did get stem cell treatment which have apparently not done their job (I say this as somebody who is ignorant in the field, I'm not even sure what they were supposed to do in the first place).
A recent routine bone marrow biopsy returned a blast cell count high enough to warrant a diagnosis of AML. My father is entering hospital today to receive additional treatment to complement the one he already receiving - he is doing well and is always the same but they want him as an inpatient so they can be on "standby" in the event that whatever happened last year happens again and he's due to remain there for 30-40 days. My father is 69 years old and a plastic surgeon; he's a strong, hard-working man and has been his entire life. Took the treatments and side effects like a champ - I've seen him weaker but not frailer, I've seen him despondent but unyielding, I've seen him depressed but never tired of living. He's always been well (relatively speaking for somebody with his condition) but he's obviously had side effects of the physical (strength, endurance etc) and mental kind.
My father is my best friend and the center of my life and today I am hoping that somebody here can tell me what to expect moving forward. How should I approach this? What should I prepare for and what important information should I be aware of? I know that prognosis numbers/statistics for AML are very unfavourable but I also know that there are a number of factors that skew these excessively so I am approaching this knowledge erring on the side of caution. I have seen so much differing info on this sub alone - some say it's treatable, some say it's treatable for younger people but devastating for older, some were just saying nothing but offering well wishes; what is for certain is that this is a horrible thing to go through and a merciless ailment. I would everyone to give me their experiences, their knowledge, their everything so that I may best approach this situation.
Thanks to everyone in advance - you guys are saviours and heroes, every single one of those that post on this sub. You help so much just by writing.

2024.05.14 16:02 Resbookkeeper I live in a great city, but maybe not great for me?…
I’m in Chicago. I love Chicago. The problem is, I don’t really like nightlife (which nullifies 50% of the purpose of a big city). All I want to do is go to bed early on a Friday, wake up, and do a 6 hour hike on Saturday. The logical solution to this problem appears to be Denver, but the consensus on this sub seems to be that Denver is overrated and that I’m already living in the best location possible (Chicago).
So, what should I do? I love urbanism but my interests are pretty much exclusively forms of physical activity (hike, bike, ski, lift, yoga, etc.). I have no clue how to square this circle.
Sincerely, A Deeply Conflicted Person.
Edit: I should note that my profession is one that tends to require large population centers, unless I work remote, which of course has negative effects on career development.

I just found out I've passed my B1 Prüfung and will certainly also pass my Leben in Deutschland Test. I'm under a family reunification visa currently and as part of that I have to pay out of pocket for my course. I want to take a B2 course but am not sure what steps I need to take to pursue it since most information from my school is for asylum seekers and my current school doesn't have any B2 classes. Do I need to go back to BAMF or just go directly to the school? Do I need to go to a job center or another office? Appreciate any help!

2024.05.14 15:44 Dr_Pepper_blood Missing In Oregon: Rebecca Reid abducted at knifepoint on Superbowl Sunday 1997, never seen again
Rebecca Kathleen Reid (Becky) was a 37 year old wife to Dearld Reid and their son was 13 years old in 1997. She had been a graduate of Thurston High School and was described as bubbly and outgoing.
To make ends meet Becky worked at a convenience station located on Highway 99 in Eugene Oregon. At the time the name of the convenience center was the Grocery Cart, and Becky was a manager there.
On January 27th (Superbowl Sunday)at around 1a.m. Becky was doing her closing routine. Probably sweeping and mopping and about to possibly count down her till. From piecing together a couple different descriptions there was either one witness in the store, or a witness just outside the store collecting beer bottles (or possibly both?) that witnessed a man abduct Becky from the store at knifepoint and force her into his vehicle where he drove off with her. She has never been seen again. There is a sketch of the suspect in The Charley Project link.
The suspect was described as a white male late 20s to mid 30s, 5 ft 9 and 165-185 lbs. In 1997 he had shoulder length brown hair and a mustache with face stubble. His vehicle is described as a 70's or early 80s compact or midsize pickup truck with a white canopy. The truck itself was white or light in color and there was a horizontal stripe about 8 inches wide on the driver side door. It was not an extended cab. Neither the suspect or the vehicle were ever truly identified or found.
A month after Becky disappeared a man attempted to abduct another woman from a nearby grocery store at knife point. That woman escaped and a suspect was captured and arrested but when investigators tried to link that man with Reid's case they could not. So he was never named as a suspect.
Dearld Reid was cleared fairly early on. He and his son and the rest of Becky's family like her sister Chris watched days of Rebecca missing turn from days to weeks to months and then, years. With no answers after all this time.
Authorities believe the man was attempting to rob the store at the time that he abducted Becky. But I haven't found any information on whether he actually robbed the place. And if so why take Becky? Could she identify him? Was it someone she knew? Or was abducting a woman more of the motive than robbery?
This case puts me in mind of a couple others across the United States where women are abducted from their late night gas station jobs. I myself worked the same type of jobs in my early 20's.
Besides the fact that Becky was walked out at knife point I have not heard a lot of description of what the eyewitnesses saw just prior to the abduction.
I'm sure Becky's son still wants answers. Someone stole his mother away in 1997 and whatever the motive it robbed a family of a wife, mother, sister, and daughter.
https://charleyproject.org/case/rebecca-kathleen-reid https://kval.com/news/local/rebecca-reid-cold-case https://www.wdam.com/video/2023/04/13/cold-case-debrief-wlox-investigates-disappearance-rebecca-reid/ The Eugene Police Department is investigating at 541-682-8888 or 541-682-5835 as well as the FBI at 202-324-3000.

2024.05.14 15:19 BaseJust4349 Religious discrimination, HR power trip, or personally over analyzing?
See comments for the rest of the story.
I need some opinions and advice regarding a job. I am currently a senior Health Science student (Pre-PA), and I am trying to gain additional patient care hours. I have enough to apply to the PA programs I wish to attend, but I would like more by the time I start grad school.
Last year (around March), I applied to a medical scribe job per the request of the doctor I would be working for. The job is through a major hospital system, which I will not name, that is in the south of the US.
To say the least, trying to get hired by this hospital system has been an absolute nightmare. (1) The job listing did not specify if it was part-time or full-time. I am a full-time student, so when the application asked which I prefer, I put part-time. HR communicated with the doctor that they did not want to hire me to work part-time. Due to this, I offered to work full-time (I would go to class, come in after, and stay late to get all of my hours). She used to scribe on paper and then have a medical scribe transfer it to EMR, so that would not be an issue to her. (2) The job listing specified that I had to have one year of scribing experience. I did not realize volunteering hours count, too, so my original resume only included paid hours (~ 3 months). HR communicated with the doctor that they would not hire me due to lack of experience, which is reasonable. I asked the doctor if volunteering would count, and she said yes. We ended up informing HR of my volunteering experience (~ 10 months). With my volunteering hours and paid hours combined, I have enough experience for the job. (3) We discussed plans for me to go to class, come into work, and stay late with HR. HR said they would not hire me unless I was in the room from 8–5 with the doctor. If I took the job and my clock-in/clock-out times didn’t reflect this, I would be fired. I could not do this because of my full-time, on-campus course load. (4) The doctor who wants me to work for them got the head of her specialty’s department involved to have a meeting with HR and plead my/the doctor’s case. They still refused to hire me. (5) HR said I could scribe for them if I worked for them for one year. The doctor tried getting me hired at the front desk with the understanding (and verbal agreement with HR) that I would become a scribe in the back after one year at the front desk. (6) The job listing said one year of customer service experience (no specification between paid or volunteer) was required, which I have from volunteering at various places (city zoo, church nursery, etc.) and from working in my university’s tutoring center. After I applied to the position, they refused to hire me without giving a reason. (7) The doctor and I were tired of going back and forth with HR. It had been two months at this point. The doctor requested to someone at the hospital’s associated med school to create a job position for me to be able to work front desk in her clinic. This process was a breeze, and the med school hired me without any problems! They even created a job position and title that did not exist just to help us out. I proceeded to work the front desk and do other clerical duties in the office for the next year.

2024.05.14 15:04 Hot_Suit6368 Hissing X95L and HT-A7000, motherboard replacement did not help
Hello everyone.
I wanted to share with you just how hopeless Sony support is, especially the branches in Poland. I purchased the 75X95L along with the HT-A7000. It was one of my modest dreams which I managed to achieve by saving up a bit.
After buying the TV and connecting it with the soundbar, I noticed that a hissing noise randomly emanates from the speakers for an indeterminate moment. I browsed various forums and quickly realized that this issue is known globally. After trying to eliminate the squealing using power strips, high-quality cables, updating software, and many other tricks described on the forum, I decided to get it repaired. The TV was taken to an authorized Sony center where they acknowledged the fault and replaced the main board. Unfortunately, this didn't help. When I lodged the complaint again, I was informed that this time everything was in order - the service tested it with the HT-A3000 soundbar and advised me to buy high-quality cables. Completely two different worlds - one time blindly replacing the main board and another time asserting that everything was fine. After contacting the service, I heard that they have specific diagnostic procedures and cannot follow and try to diagnose the TV according to the scenario provided by the consumer.
Below is a video showing the squealing of my unit.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaoaBKiCXX0 Has the motherboard replacement not helped any of the readers like me? I don't know what to do next, further complaints seem pointless, but I'm trying as hard as I can for SONY to finally take the matter seriously...

2024.05.14 15:01 sidusnare [Talk] This film festival spotlights efforts to preserve and discover lost movies
https://www.npr.org/2024/05/13/1251040886/this-film-festival-spotlights-efforts-to-preserve-and-discover-lost-movies The Restored and Rediscovered film festival begins Monday at the Jacob Burns Film Festival in New York City. It's meant to put a spotlight on movies that have been since lost.
AILSA CHANG, HOST:
Nearly half of all movies made before 1950 have been lost, according to some estimates. That's why film historians and archivists are racing to preserve older movies. The Restored and Rediscovered Film Festival spotlights these efforts, and it kicks off today at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, N.Y. One of the festival's offerings is this rarely seen 1971 film, "Bushman." It's about the racial politics of 1960s America as seen through the eyes of a Nigerian immigrant.
(SOUNDBITE OF FILM, "BUSHMAN")
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR #1: (As character) Man, I can't get used to these strange Black people in the world (ph).
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR #2: (As character) I'm Blacker than you are.
CHANG: Senior film programmer and critic Monica Castillo is here to tell us more. Welcome.
MONICA CASTILLO: Thank you for having me.
CHANG: Well, thanks for being with us. So can we start with that film, "Bushman"? Like, I've heard it described as half drama, half documentary. What was this film about exactly?
CASTILLO: It's a really interesting film that blends narrative nonfiction and fiction. You're following a Nigerian exchange student as he kind of explores identity, ideas of home and belonging in counterculture San Francisco in the late 1960s. And he even embraces the name Bushman as well. You know, and his different questioning and answers throughout the different characters that he meets.
But then all of a sudden, the movie comes to a screeching halt. And then somebody else comes in front of the frame and tells you that the actor playing the main character was arrested on his own college campus and deported. So then that's when the documentary aspect really comes in. And it's a talking point for the way that Black students are treated, the way that immigrants are treated. It's a really remarkable film.
CHANG: So interesting.
CASTILLO: Yeah.
CHANG: Well, I do want to talk about the work involved in bringing a film like "Bushman" to audiences on the big screen. Like, what does it take to restore a film? What do archivists have to do to resurrect some of these films, exactly?
CASTILLO: Yeah. So it really depends on the film itself and what condition it's in. There's usually a scanning process, digitizing it. And then once it's in a computer, they can fix the imperfections, whether that be mold or color degradation or scratches. And then through that process, we're able to get another copy on the other end. So that's what we're able to show.
CHANG: What's fascinating about this for me is when I think of restored films, I think of, like, the old silent films or the early talkies. But we're talking about films that are much more modern. Like, I know one of the films you're showing is the 1960 British horror thriller "Peeping Tom."
(SOUNDBITE OF FILM, "PEEPING TOM")
UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR #3: (As character) Whatever I photograph, I always lose.
(SCREAMING)
CHANG: Which I understand that critics hated when the movie came out. So tell me why you decided to showcase that movie here.
CASTILLO: Absolutely. And they sure did hate it at that time. But...
CHANG: And why? What was so awful about this movie?
CASTILLO: It was controversial in the way that it depicted violence. And it sort of equated, you know, movie making with a sense of warriorism. I mean, that's very much what it's playing with, but maybe it was a little too ahead of its time. So even though it came out about the same time that "Psycho" did, you know, Alfred Hitchcock was celebrated, and Michael Powell had to deal with the sort of career fallout with all of these negative reviews over "Peeping Tom." But now with this new restoration, I mean, you get to really appreciate the amount of texture and color work that he's working with. Like, he really immerses you in the main character's sort of mania, and it's really fascinating.
CHANG: So what do you ultimately hope that people will take away from watching these films years and years later?
CASTILLO: I really just hope that they keep an eye out for these restorations. They are so special, and you get to see so much more. I was just thinking of the Iranian New Wave film "The Runner," which we have in our series. Before, I had seen a sort of VHS scan copy off of YouTube, and you lost so much of the story.
CHANG: Yeah.
CASTILLO: And then now with this restoration, there's whole pieces of the story that now come together. And you feel this character's journey in a such more emotional and visceral way. That's part of the movie magic.
CHANG: That is Monica Castillo, senior film programmer at the Jacob Burns Film Center. And if you aren't able to make it to the festival in Pleasantville, many of these restorations will be available to stream or to buy. Thank you so much, Monica. Thank you for having me.
