My little one is 1 month old. He was in NICU for the first 3 weeks. Now that we are home I am worried I’m not waking up for feeds.
He doesn’t like the dark because the NICU always had lights on. So when it’s dark he just cries. Getting him to sleep at night is hard. But we get there eventually. But by then I am so tired.
He also is a noisey sleeper. He grunts and makes heaps of noises. Unfortunately this is the same sounds he makes when he is awake. When he wakes up for a feed he doesn’t cry. He just makes noises that sound very similar to him sleeping. Therefore I am not waking up. What should I do?
My husband also doesn’t wake.
Could I assume that because he is just making his noises that he is content and that if he was super hungry that he would start crying?

Hi Ask Mechanics! I’m hoping ya’ll can help me make a decision on what to do. I have a Kia with over 100k miles (about 106k to be exact). Last night, I was far from home when I noticed a slight ticking sound coming from the front. Once I pulled into a parking lot, the red oil indicator came on and the car died. However, when I started it back up, it started, but with a very loud and fast ticking sound and the oil indicator came on again. I checked the oil and it appeared low (I also was about 2K miles past recommended the recommended oil change interval, I suppose feel free to roast me as payment for your help). I went to a gas station and got some full synthetic oil and added it. When I started it up again, the ticking was still there but the oil indicator went away. I put in a AAA request, but they were going to charge me a crazy amount to get back home. So, I said a prayer and started the 30 miles journey. The ticking was still there, but appeared to quiet down the longer I drove, and the oil indicator never came back on. The ticking is of course still there this morning, and appears to speed up with higher revs, but is quieter than it was, and the oil light still has not returned. I took it to a chain shop, who said they couldn’t diagnose it specifically but assumed a full engine swap would be necessary (which is out of the question considering I was probably going to get a new car toward the end of the year anyway).
So, my specific questions are:

1. What is the probable diagnosis?
   
2. Since I’ve added oil, is it likely to get continue to get worse or will it be at least stable? Is it worth getting a complete oil change?
   
3. A guy at an indie shop with good reviews said he’d take a look at it for me this week free of charge to specifically diagnose it. Is it worth not driving it any further and hoping that maybe it’s something that’s fixable short of a full rebuild/swap?
   
4. Is it “safe” to drive with it? (I’ve upgraded my AAA membership so I can get up to 100 miles of towing for free) If so, likely how long do I have before it fully bites the dust?
   

Sorry for the long post, just trying to figure out what my best option is. I would GREATLY, greatly appreciate any and all feedback!

Hey Guys,
The house I live in has walls as thin as 1.4 inches of 3.6cm and are solid plywood, so there is no gib or plasterboard just rock solid WOOD. My neighbours car got broken into a few years back and I saw people try breaking into his house at 2-3AM in the morning through his gate. His gate had a chain and a lock and the sound of them tampering with it woke me up. Now times are rough again I suppose and am noticing activity lately at night such as the neighbours dog going crazy and always hearing noises at night.
Was thinking about getting two of these: https://www.kogan.com/nz/buy/kogan-smarterhome-outdoor-pan-tilt-smart-security-camera-with-spotlight/ 3MP cameras, one for the front of the house/driveway and one at the back, covering the backdoor etc.
However was wondering if anyone knew a Reolink camera I could buy that fits my requirements of minimum 1080p and max 2k or 1440p and my wall situation.
I have read some posts and it's recommended that I get POE cameras but I am unsure how I am going to get the cable through the walls? What I could do is, pass it through the ceiling and then attach it a Synolgy box that is powered? But then how would I connect that to my PC? Don't want a NVR. Would progress as SD card > Synolgy NAS. Some people say that Reolinks app is shit and others good. But from what I have seen, it has a easy UI/UX that I could get my mother to use it as well.

Hi Reddit peeps. This is my first time posting on here and it’s about something that happened in 2017. Any questions/ answers to my questions welcome!
So, in 2016 I had my first child. I was 26 at the time. Life had some tough circumstances at the time- I live far from my birth place (don’t get to see my family often), had some issues with my mom at the time, my husband was working crazy hours, and I was just exhausted all the time from being a new mother.
While I’m not proud to say it, I ended up leaning on cannabis at the time to help get me through the stress. Now, this was before dispensaries, so I was getting weed from a person- there was no way to differentiate if it was sativa, indica, hybrid, or the THC%. I was also smoking a lot of cigarettes at this time as well. (Later on, years after all this, once the dispensaries had become a thing, I would make sure to not buy sativa, as that always seemed to make me more edgy. So I would stick with indica).
Also around this time, due to stressful relationships with family and friends & feeling desperate for “answers,” I ended up looking into astrology a little more than I normally had. I never was a woo-woo type, but always had an interest in learning people’s sun signs, etc. Well, this was a whole new world of astrology. This type of astrology uses birth charts and goes pretty in depth. I was kinda hooked on it for some time and felt like I just couldn’t learn enough.
When I was about 6-7 months post partum, I ended up experiencing a major psychotic episode. I was in and out of emergency rooms and therapy for several months. I wasn’t eating food, wasn’t sleeping and was just overly excited about learning the astrology stuff. Well, after some time, I lost complete touch with reality. I became delusional and thought so many things were happening, that were not. I don’t know how my husband was able to handle me at the time but I’m so grateful he could. Anyway, I was ultimately diagnosed with “bipolar type 1 with psychotic features.” I tried a few meds here and there but honestly the side effects scared me way too much. Still do. And I don’t want the weight gain that comes with it.
So, it’s been several years now. I had continued smoking over the years, but recently kicked the habit for good. Why I would continue doing it after such a calamity, I have no idea. My psychiatrist at the time, when I asked him if I should kick it, told me he didn’t think it was affecting anything. I think it wasn’t obvious at the time that cannabis can even do that (especially combined with a mind-altering belief system).. I just kinda blasted off into space. Then, my mother passed away in 2021 and I experienced a psychotic break that lasted several weeks then, also. But those have been the only two times, and cannabis was involved in both.
I guess I have a few questions. Am I really bipolar type 1 with psychotic features, or was it from the cannabis and mind altering astrology studying? I wrestled with astrology for a long time/several years after that as well. And just never seemed to really get “better.” I’ve kicked both habits now for good.
I guess I just didn’t know that these things can lead to events that lead to such a diagnosis. I have a hard time with the diagnosis. I wonder if bipolar type 1 will lead to a diagnosis on the schizophrenic spectrum… or can this all somehow reverse itself with staying away from weed?

I'm trying to decide which 1 thing with our 1 day we should do between exploring near bodega bay, going to armstrong woods, or hitting up Pt Reyes. We would be doing this on a Thursday & would be looking to eat somwhere good along the way for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

I got pregnant at 35 on our first try, although my period became irregular in my early 30s, and I started getting more facial hair and rare night sweats. I thought I'd have issues and was shocked when we got pregnant right away (especially since my cycle before was a 60-day cycle).
That pregnancy was a TFMR due to Monosomy and Trisomy X. We've had 3 cycles since and tried all 3, but I haven't gotten pregnant yet. I am aware this is totally normal. I went to a fertility OB and had my hormones and follicles tested. All are normal. I'm currently 36 and a half.
I'm thinking of jumping right into IVF for a few reasons:
1) We'd like to have 2 kids, and I know it's just going to get harder as we age 2) Every month we don't get pregnant just makes the theoretical due date of baby #2 even later 3) My insurance covers 3 attempts per live birth 100% 4) Much lower risk of chromosomal abnormalities since we'll test the embryos 5) There's no real way to know my egg quality without doing this 6) Getting to choose the gender is a nice perk
Is there any reason I shouldn't do IVF? Besides cost, why have you all opted against it?

We have been neighbors for 2 1/2 years and have been together at neighborhood functions a few times. We met up at pub with a few other boaters and we’ve invited them to our house twice. It was during a college championship night in our basement rec room that I realized he was getting stranger and stranger. Not obnoxious, just weird.
Later, he offered to fix the power lines from my house to dock for the cost of materials only, free labor. That was a big job! But he said he had been an engineer who knew electric work and a lot more very well. He started hand digging the trench then quit for several days then rented a trencher. It got stuck and wouldn’t start. He tried to solve the problem with electrical and mechanical tools. The next day, he put the machine back together and called the rental yard. They sent a technician that immediately started the machine diagnosed operator error. That upset him and he was cranky so I stayed away. The job was finally completed after many months. We never knew when he was coming to work the job. There were weeks when we wouldn’t hear from him. But, free labor…
Finally the job is done! We gather at the controls, throw the breaker and it shorts. So we start at the beginning and he had crossed 120v AC into a 24v DC circuit frying the irrigation controls. His fix was to disconnect two wires but I knew both now free ends had been connected somewhere before he started repairs. After I traced every wire using a borrowed tester, I asked my neighbor to see if he agreed with the changes to his work.
He was angry when he arrived and started explaining the ‘science of electricity’. I finally erupted that we couldn’t work together if he wasn’t going to let me ask if he agreed with the change I made. He called me a name, I replied in kind and we each told the other to lose our numbers.
I see him most days and we just ignore each other. His mother lived in his house and died last week. I never met her. Two neighbors asked for food donations and we explained that we thought it might be inappropriate and unwelcome. There are several cars at the house again so another activity is underway. Should I: Continue to ignore him, Put a card in his mailbox or Knox on the door to offer condolences?
I live in a tight-knit gated community that relies on many clubs, sports and get together. It’s not like I will have to sit next to him but I’m worried whether the neighbors’ gossip has given me a reputation.

We are married for 12yrs with 2 kids. He was a fun and outgoing guy, have lots of friends. I don’t have any friends just some coworkers but not close and my family is in another state. For the last 2 years my husband has been experiencing insomnia barely sleep 2-4hrs and waking up every hour or 2 plus chest pain and stomach problems. Since January his attitude changed always angry and irritated coming home from work, didn’t want to go out, always stay home trying to sleep. I keep asking what’s wrong for over a month then he exploded.
He said he wanted to leave me for the last 2 years because he feels miserable in our married. I know it was my fault cause i was cold, disrespected him at times and didn’t support him with something he wanted to do but i got my justifications ( still my fault) he tried to let me know our married is in trouble but i never listen. He left for almost 2 months just going to work and isolate himself, won’t tall to his friends, me & his family. Came home once a week and talked to me about his negative thoughts. He said he is irritated and angry all the time. He has been staying at airb&b for some weeks then been sleeping in his car for almost 3 weeks, didn’t shower and didn’t eat much. He can’t sleep and sleeping pills didn’t help. He said he is fighting his demons in his head and replaying how i treated him and he got flashbacks of things happened a decade ago. I told him that’s depression and anxiety and he refused to go to the doctor.
After 2 months he came back and kept asking me to let him go. I said i will if he wanted to. Then that night he told me he doesn’t love me anymore and feels sorry for me and grateful for always spoiling him and taking care of him. It broke me, i asked him to leave and he didn’t want to leave so i said it’s either he leaves or i leave so he has no choice cause he knows i don’t have anyone here. He took it as i kicked him out and made up his mind that he doesn’t want to work this out anymore. I get blame for everything that is happening to him how he turns into this person i don’t even know anymore.
I know i lack the emotional intelligence and take everything personally. I don’t know if it’s really him talking or his depression and anxiety tricking his mind to say those stuffs. So we have been separated for a month with no contact at all. Just 1 text a week to know who will pick up the kids after school. I will leave him alone for now if he comes back then good if not i think i will be ok even though it hurts so much everyday.

Howdy! Been wanting to play very much recently but hate playing games solo and none of my friends are interested. Would love to find a group or duo buddy to play with. Not looking for cheat use but other QoL mods or content that isn't too strong is also cool! Time frame would be evenings/night EST and anytime on weekends. Particularly looking for those in their mid twenties or older.
A bit about myself, I tend to enjoy playing coop and multiplayer games ranging from wow to league, lethal company, palworld or recently sitting in a call with others playing pokerogue. Love most things fantasy and scifi and also always down to watch a good movie or listen to some tunes.
As far as how I like to play stardew, I do tend to be a bit of a workhorse focusing on getting the snowball of wealth rolling as soon as possible, and ensuring greenhouse is done year 1 so I can do stuff with ancient fruit kegs and casks. If you or your friends tend to stop and smell the roses or focus more on relationship building or decorating/designing stuff I'd compliment you well, just let me know what needs to get done and I'll get to work 🫡

For context, I post cool teams that I made using some underplayed path or tactic, and on the last one, Unorthodox Gameplay 3 : Monarchnesis, a fellow user u/Alexandergus (COME, SAY HI TO EVERYONE) asked me to build a team with not only Anamnesis, but Berserker Helion as well... And as the title says : ASK AND THOU SHALL RECEIVE
Sidenote: If there's too much text for your liking, dear reader, feel free to skip to the summary part down bellow ;)
So, with that out of the way, let's get to strats!

Occultist

I took inspiration on a setup that ShuffleFM (Darkest Dungeon youtuber,twitch streamer and really good reference) showcased on one of his teams. The concept is that you have a Virtuoso Jester using Encore on Occultist, which proceeds to Chaotic Offering on his bonus turn, generating an Unlimited Power Token(UP). After that, when the regular Occ turn rolls in, he gets the second UP because of the turn start effect, which he originally used to nuke someone with Warlock's Burning Stars turn 1; on my case is to perform Aspirant Anamnesis and open the first turn with a really strong cleave, I also run Burning Stars as an option for larger enemies like size 2s or bosses.

Jester

As for the Jester, since I'm basing my entire schtick on Encore, I'm also running Solo and Finale. That's because you can actually use the dazed in your favor and the cooldowns sync. EG: Encore turn 1 > gets dazed and pushed to last turn 2 action order > Solo > Forward 3> gets Speed token and Jester, specially Virtuoso is really fast > goes first on turn 3 > uses Finale > Back 3 and dazed >If encounter's still going, Encore and Repeat. I topped him with Inspiring Tune for Stress heal (literally the best in the game) and Razor's Wit for poke.

Helion

Now let's talk about Helion. She likes the cleave since it helps her kill rank 4 in 1 turn with Iron Swan, specially ordained and modified enemies like elite and sturdy, not only that but as she's Berserk and is at Rank 1, I run Bleed Out as a strong option after I dealed with the backline; Bleed Out doesn't even have a cooldown, it "just" grants you winded tokens, which means you can spam it to stack monstrous bleeds. I just did act 3 and had 18 bleeds on the last phase for 5 turns (I crited). Another synergy is that after you cast Burning Stars at a chonky target, it gets combo; Bleed Out on Berserker on a combo tarket has 63% BLEED PIERCING. It's basically guaranteed (unless you're using this on Warlord, this bastard has 100 base... He's a VERY good reason to not go overboard on bleeds; not only that but if your whole team wants to bleed someone, you'll end up fighting for the same trinkets). For the rest of her kit, I had Toe to Toe for Taunt, Rooted and movement, Adrenaline Rush for heals and Bloodlust for really long fights and as an alternative to remove Winded tokens that isn't dependent on Adrenaline Rush's health threshold AND grants 30% more damage against bleeding targets. With Jester Encore, you can mix a ton of good sequences, specially in later stages of the fight, granting Helion bonus actions, for example stacking Bleed Out faster, or clearing winded with Bloodlust/ Adrenaline Rush/Toe to Toe+ and then hitting again with Bleed Out.

Plague Doctor

And to stitch the team together, I chose Plague Doctor as the Rank 4 hero, but not any Plague Doctor; Physician. I managed to weld together Physician, Anamnesis and Bleed Out and it's ...GOOD? The thing with Physician is that, except for Magnesium Rain that has a cooldown of 3 turns, she doesn't have a damaging skill to use. Instead, her supportive capabilities are enhanced, and they're great with this team because she provides much needed utility with crowd control, corpse clearing, heals and offensive tokens.
Usefulness Utility listed bellow!

• Turn 1 she can use Emboldening Vapors on Occ to boost Anamnesis and Burning Stars, not only that but on this path this skill grants 2 Strenght Tokens instead of 1, with a cooldown of 1 turn or 0 when upgraded.
  
  • She can blind and daze the two backrow enemies wit Blinding Gas+ to delay their actions long enough so Helion and Occ can make quick work of Rank 4 before the target does something WHILE Rank 3 is Blinded!
  • Magnesium Rain is good for chip damage, dodge clearing and corpse removal(therefore, Bleed Out setup)
  • Heals are as great as ever!
  • Even Ounce of Prevention gets an honorable mention for better handling heavy DOT enemy comps and diseases, like creature dens and the Sprawl; and at this path even grants Stress Damage RES
  But one of the reasons I really liked Phys here is because the team can make full use of her Disorienting Blast, which not only has +20% Stun Piercing on upgrade with combo, but grants Vulnerable as well. A problem I had is that some key heavy hitting skills from the rest of the cast are heavelly reliant on position, like Leper's Chop hitting Ranks 1 and 2, PBS hitting 1, Pistol Shot not hitting 1; so it was kinda like a gamble most of the time. But Finale and Burning Stars hit ALL ranks REALLY HARD ; which means that it doesn't really matter where the enemy ends up, it's going to get CLAPPED. Helion also makes good use of it in later stages of the fight, where your Magnesium Rain is on cooldown and the enemy is standing at rank 2, where rank 1 is a corpse and rank 3 and 4 are cleared. You can try to fish it and grant vulnerable at the same time; it's good!
  

Maps

For regions, try to prioritize the Shroud, for the bleed trinkets for Helion and Ocultist and other trinkets for the Jester, like Seamen's Boots and Compass.
Defensive trinkets on Helion aren't bad either, since she's gonna eat 80% of the hits thrown at her, so Tangle isn't a bad choice. Burning Stars ignores Block and Blinding Gas can help by "dodging" some heavy hitting moves.
Sprawl can be okay because of burn trinkets that can up the usefulness of Mag. Rain and speedy trinkets for Jester
Foetor is the lowest priority map to go, literally no one wants blight buffing trinkets and you even risk getting your heroes sick; I'd go if the map mission grants a good reward but that's about it.

Lair Boss matchups

• You can wreck Levi, specially with a bit of scaling since Bleed Out+ gives good damage with 6 points of bleed; the hand has 24 hp and the bleed by itself deals 18. Burning Stars is a Nuke as well as Finale. BTW he has a trophy that DOUBLES BLEED CAUSED. Just saying
  
• Dababy can be dealt with by Helion using Toe to Toe to lock her on Rank 1, which halts the hungering shenanigans from others behind her; try to get Holy Water to get rid of hunger tokens on Helly so you can Toe to Toe again. Other than that just play as normal with the Encore > Chaotic Offering > Emboldening Vapors > Burning Stars setup, use D. Blast as well to try and get Dababy out of Rank 1.
  
• Librarian is okay, try to have a few throwable items on Jester to spend his dodge tokens and try to Encore > Solo > Finale him. Helion can eat the Blinds thanks to Toe to Toe.
  
• The General is the one I worry the most, he has a huge healthpool and only takes 1 action per turn, which makes DOT tick slowly and gives him plenty of time to stall and disrupt you with his stress inducing attacks, Waking Dead and, if you don't deal with the root, Nightmare. I'd avoid fighting him if my team didn't scale enough and I'd bring Cause of Death+ to speed things up.
  

Pets

They are pretty flexible on this team. I like the Rabbit here since everyone has trouble tanking hits, so the bonus HP goes a long way if you get it rolling(HMMM FLAPJACKS). Some good optins are: - The Tick to get the blood for guaranteed crit tokens and huge damage and bleeds - The Owl helps the debuffs from PD to stick and can provide good flow of Combat Items - The Pliskin can be good since the team is squishy and can use more sustain between fights - The Slime if you like running over debris and don't want to deal with negative tokens - This last one is highly experimental and I still have to test it, but it got to my attention that Larval Carrion Eater can be good as a Crit token Generator, specially since Anamnesis cleaves the whole party. On turn 2 you'd have only 1 UP at your turn which means you can either heal or Sac Stab something. If you have Stab+, you can use it on a corpse, kill it, generate another UP, heal 30%, gain a Block Token and a Crit token for next round, and on that round you'll have 3 UPs at your disposal to spend. This translates to 2 Anamnesis / Burning Stars casted on sequence, since you would spend 2 on this turn, and you would generate another one at the beginning of your next turn. Try this at your own courage and peril (and tell me the results later!)

You can swap Bloodlust with: Raucous Revelry for a heal not dependant on limited uses, stress heal, and on upgrade, DBR Wicked Hack for better damage at rank 2 Breakthrough for Shuffles
As for the * on Berserker, is just that maybe it's a good idea changing the path depending on which act boss you're going against; the ones that came to mind are act 2 and 3. Vs act 2, Bleed Out gets absolutely no value so there's no reason to run Berserker, I'd recomend changing to Ravager for easier management of the lungs. You can also change to Carcass to better deal with high damage since apart from this path she doesn't generate blocks; I had her take every inn item I could buy to give her a better chance at survivability against the Focused Fault, but even then I got a few Deathblow checks; would recommend either running Cause of Death on PD with Berserker, or changing to Carcass to tank with Yawp. I'd also recommend not running Bloodlust if you're running Cause of Death on PD, since it clears all DOT for instant damage, making your turn go to waste, in this case just use Toe to Toe+ to get rid of Winded.

Be warned: long rant
Is this even legal? I’m a double major and I had 4 in-person exams that week that all required prep (obviously). CalCentral said the exam would be on Friday then the prof gave us a 3-day notice that they’re going to post it on Sunday night then expect it back by Tuesday afternoon. I emailed them three times saying there was literally no way that was happening as I had exams back to back Mon-Thu, and finally got an extension until Thursday DURING MY EXAM out of them.
Worked on that shit for hours and hours over DAYS trying to finish it, and it eventually compromised two of my most important exams and still took over 20 hours to finish. Spent Wednesday night unwillingly doing 12+ hours of work ALL NIGHT (zero hours of sleep) and walked into my last exam sleep deprived, in physical pain, and having not eaten food for two days.
I made around 50 on the final for a class that I’d been making 95 or above on the ENTIRE semester, and looking at my graded answers, they are really obviously confused and slurred and they look as if I completed the exam while under the influence. I made a 99 raw score on the midterm and then an entire SD below average on the final. Actually ridiculous, but I have no clue what else I could have done better as I really believe my RRR and finals week were spent at max efficiency and it still could not accommodate a fuckign 20+ hour final exam during the week.
The description for the exam said it was “designed to not take over 3 hours”… It was 10 multiple choice, ten 150-word essays, two 400-word essays, and one 1000-word essay. (For reference: in 12pt Times New Roman double spaced, 1k words is about 3.5 pages, 400 words is about 1.5 pages) THREE HOURS??????? Even if you used ChatGPT for half the exam it would have taken a normal person 10+ hours to finish. Moreover, the midterm was similar in structure and I received a 89 on it despite getting everything right for vague af reasons like “could use more analysis”. So it’s not even like they grade kindly.
How the fuck is this legal? I’m greatly upset about this because it pushed me down from an A+ in a class instantly to a B- or C+. There was absolutely no way to manage my time so as to avoid this. I emailed them early in RRR week to ask if I could actually complete the exam EARLY so as to avoid this, and they ignored me for 4 days and responded Monday morning, less than 24 hours to the deadline.
I really feel like there has to be something I can do about this. It might not have compromised people who only have humanities exams or projects due to spend an entire day finishing this, but that is not the case for me as I am a social sciences-STEM double major. It’s not even about the exam itself at a certain point, it’s the blatant failure to communicate on the instructor’s side, who told me they “thought this had been resolved already” four days late and initially tried to give like a 12-hour extension instead of until Thursday (which was still unreasonable considering I explained how I was fully and utterly booked until 6PM that day). No clue how others did not have a problem with this but I suppose most of them are not pursuing STEM with their degree.
This is really just a rant but holy hell, after a week of sleepless and foodless days I’m getting a C on my report card after getting 95–100 every single exam and assignment this semester in one class. wtf

I also have an RFS, but I was not confident enough in my hands to bring RFS to a potentially 25 min fight. I wanted to try 1 more time without resorting to those.

The last time I had a solo this close was HLucid (with <2 sec left on P3, 40k stats w/o OZ pre-6th job).
Once I get more used to this boss, I can definitely shave off some more time by playing more risky. I ended up intentionally dying once to squeeze out more damage at around the 2 min mark anyways.
Hopefully, the SSF comes in June/July - have a ton of mesos saved up. With this, I have cleared every hurdle before the Black Mage and I REALLY need that SSF if I want to take my revenge on him.
I don't think I will be doing NSeren solos every week though. The timer is a bit too close for comfort and the boss doesn't really drop anything of note other than ring box. It's just too time consuming if I fail.

First Reddit post ever… apologize if this is the incorrect place.
I feel like many of our questions are rather simple but I cannot seem to find answers. Our HOA seems to have it out for us. The only reasoning I can come up with is most of the homeowners are original owners from when the homes were built. All elderly. ALL. We seem to be the first young couple to buy a home in the area, and this is the only conclusion I can come to as to why we’re being targeted. Below is a random list of things that have occurred over the first few years.
I would like to preface with ALL of the events below have happened on the day the board walks the neighborhood to review properties

1. People have come onto our property and removed a flag and flag pole and put it in our backyard. The flag and pole is completely in line with HOA rules and was actually there when we bought the house and we chose to keep it up. We never received a letter or request to take it down. Just came home one day to it disassembled and tossed in our back yard.
   
2. We have a small walkway that goes behind our backyard that is very highly trafficked. When we would have friends over it would get blocked by their cars (though completely legally parked by law and hoa rules) One of our friends came back to their car with a not so nicely written letter to not block the walkway. Keep in mind it is not a driveway or for house access it is for… walking your dog etc. through the neighborhood. We made an effort to ask all of our friends to not block it. One night my sister was leaving and came back to dog shit smeared all across her windshield.
   
3. Someone is using our trash can on trash days to expose of excessive amounts of dog waste. As far as I’ve been able to find this is actually illegal. It’s not just one baggy from a walk etc. I will come home on the day of trash disposal to it already having an amount of baggies exceeding people walking by. I wrote the hoa about this, and the board president responded in a nasty way how it was our fault for leaving the cans out too long after removal. I work all day and put them away as soon as I’m home…her remark basically justifying it was absurd to me.
   
4. We like to use a drying rack and have yet to put one up because we must submit an architecture approval form before putting one up. Taking 40-70 days to get approved. My understanding is in California they cannot impose unreasonable restrictions on the racks themselves, but can they require approval before putting them up?
   

There are many, many other things that have taken place but this gives the general idea. We’re just looking for a solution. I feel as though installing security cameras would fix a lot of our problems just as a deterrent but I’m concerned they would reject the application for installation. Any ideas of how we me may approach this? It may be a single individual we’re dealing with. But based on the responses we receive when expressing concerns it seems as though they’re all “out to get us”

I am almost in the dark when it comes to monitors and TVs so I apologize if I don't include the proper information required to assist. I was looking at getting a new TV due to me using one as my main screen for so long and thinking monitors didn't really get that big but was told to look into monitors instead of a TV. I've used the same 50inch, 60hz, 1080p Emerson TV which I run at 1920x1080p since ~2010 and really want to upgrade to something that's a HUGE leap from what I have now. The 1920x1080p really seems super nice looking but I'm assuming that upgrading would be a night and day difference. I've sat 1ft away from this tv for the entire time I've had it, I've gotten use to and prefer my giant screen, the monitor would have to be around 50inches no matter what, no bigger than 50 due to my space. I would love to experience 4k and a higher refresh rate, however my motherboard (z390 phantom gaming 4s-ib) does not have HDMI 2.1 it has HDMI 1.4, would that be a problem/a barrier to jump into true 4k? When I see those TVs/monitors in best buy they have me wonder if my eyes have ever worked right they look so amazingly bright and vivid. The monitor will be used with a PC and only a PC, so gaming and YouTube is basically all it will be used for 24/7. The room is a bedroom with no direct sunlight hitting it, mostly kept dark due to personal and cooling reasons. The price point of all the recommended TVs I was looking at were all are around ~$1700, with that kind of price point I just really want to be sure I get something that I will be blown away with and is the proper screen for my needs. What would you get to treat yourself with a massive upgrade with a range of around ~$1000 with some wiggle room depending on if the price increase is truly worth it for my use.
