Car would basically be free from family. Basically every body panel has rust or is severely bent including the A pillar, though no rust damage but surface rust throughout bottom of the truck. It has obviously been used as a work truck it whole life. Engine head needs to be redone (~$300 We’ve done before on different car) Needs fenders and hood, but are relitivly cheap online. Bed beat up and there’s a good amount of surface rust in the front.
I was told that the part of the a pillar that is rusted could be swapped with a junkyard one if we find one.
Wondering if it’s better just to pass or get it running and then sell it. When looking up online I see even higher trim versions of these trucks go for around 4-7k on bat (4x4, st, lb). And in my area these types of trucks in normal wear condition are around 3-5k. I will be on break from school and will have time to work on it but I’m not crazy super into trucks and a 90s civic wagon might be an alternative project, but I still think the truck would be cool and unique. Truck is in an area where I can get work done like paint (2k) or metal work for a low price.

I was recently logged out of my instagram account and the experience was SUPER frustrating so I thought I’d make a post on here to help other people in need.
What happened was, I changed my instagram password online and then went to go log in on my app, and it was asking for backup verification codes that I did not have. The other option was to have a code texted to me, but no matter how many times I tried, the code would not send to me, so this is how I fixed it.

stay logged out of your account for at least 24 hours. do not attempt to login or get a code sent to you
make sure you have ALL numbers on your phone unblocked, sometimes you could have the number for instagram blocked unknowingly
after 24 hours, go use a private browser to attempt to log back into your account
after this the code was texted to me successfully, but i was unable to log into my instagram app for another 24 hours

Good luck logging back into your account since I know just how upsetting and frustrating this experience can be.
One last note, instagram DOES NOT have a customer service line. There is one posted online, but if a male voice with an accent picks up THAT NUMBER IS A SCAM. He will try and get you to download an app to access your banking information. Luckily, I was able to recognize he was a scammer when he asked me to download this app (a real customer service line would NEVER ask you to do this) but seriously, stay safe out there guys.

After Exeter City secured safety in their first-ever Premier League season, with four matches remaining, the fans' hearts, and the backroom staff's minds, all turned toward the upcoming season. Exeter's season was marked by thrilling highs (a 6-1 thrashing of West Ham, a convincing victory over Tottenham) and shocking lows (a 1-6 loss to LUTON TOWN of all teams, a pasting 1-5 by an ascendant Arsenal), but manager Andy Maher remained steady at the controls.
With the summer 2029 transfer window slammed shut and the new-look teams having played a few matches, we run the rule over the teams in the 2029-2030 Premier League. Up today, the south coast side Exeter City, the only fan-owned team in the Premier League. With the Supporter's Trust helping contribute to financial operations and the canny Julian Tagg still directing the football side of things, Exeter look to consolidate their precarious position and craft a long-term place in the top flight.
Exeter finished their season in a commendable 13th place, with an impressive attacking line that was able, sometimes, to overcome the worst defense outside of the relegation zone. Known usually for a solid backline, Exeter's players were generally exposed by the pace and attacking verve of the Premier League. Only Sonny Cox and the rest of the attack, who posted the league's 8th best scoring record, kept Exeter afloat.

Cox, in partnership with assists co-leader Idrissa Camara, led the Premier League with a stunning 27 goal tally in 38 appearances, topping Chelsea's Nkunku by 3 goals.
As Exeter turn to the new season, we ask three pressing questions of the team and examine the answers to find out if Exeter can repeat the trick, or if their security in the top flight is merely an illusion.
Question 1: Will the defense improve?
Whether down to tactics or formation, or players themselves, Exeter's defense in the 2028-29 season was lacklustre at best. Many point to the relatively thrifty spend in 2028-29, with only Jordan Storey and Etienne Kinkoue coming through the door to bolster the ranks last season.
This season looks already off to a different start. While Exeter continue to parsimoniously clutch the purse strings, they sold some excess players and finally made a significant, record-smashing, splash in the transfer pool, this time bolstering the backline.
Exeter splashed £22.5m to sign Czech Republic international star Martin Vitik away from Salernita, who escaped relegation by just a few points in Serie A. Able to offer improved wages and a competitive environment, Exeter had clearly committed to improving the defense here.

"We saw a number of transfers out early in this window, where players had not quite fit in, or even where we decided, as much as we wanted to keep the man, we needed to fund improvements across the squad," said Tagg. "Last year we saw a net spend for the first time ever, and while we are very far from the spending limits imposed by the EFL, we need to make sure we balance the books. So this was a very involved, drawn out, patient process that we were only able to conclude in late August."
In keeping with Exeter's thrifty ways, they added another option to the midfield as well. With Kowalczyk now roving the middle of the pitch, Exeter truly have competition at the central midfield position, and have the flexibility to move some of their talented pieces around the board. "Mateusz really freed up and gave us some interesting lineup choices, and you saw that in some of these early matches where we came out and surprised people," said Maher.
The new look for Exeter's base 4-2-3-1 looks like this, with Kowalczyk pushing forward into a CAM role, while Camara plays just slightly forward of Watson, who remains in a true defensive midfielder role. Hlynsson moves wide to the left, while Clark has the right touchline to himself. The new partnership of Storey and Vitik protects the center, while young starlet Maguire has impressed at right back, and former Exeter Academy man Ben Chrisene slots into the left wingback position.
Time will tell, but early results are promising. A rocky 3-2 win over Brighton was followed with a much more competent series of performances. Pundits are optimistic that Exeter can improve last season's defensive performance, and fans can only hope that the starting line avoids serious injury.
Question 2: Can Exeter keep their stars?
A smashing season from Cox, the silky smooth midfielder Camara, wide man Bobby Clark, the revelation of young fullback Rory Maguire-- these are the main men around whom Exeter has built its team. With Cox and Camara both having played with the squad since their League One days, there's an intuitive chemistry and connection built over hundred and thousands of hours on the training ground. Meanwhile. Clark has impressed on the wing, as the former central midfielder enjoys the space to threaten opposing fullbacks with his craft.
"We had one major bid for Sonny [Cox]," revealed Tagg recently, "but it was miles still from our valuation, and this is about more than just money anyway; Sonny has told us he will stay with us as long as he can, as long as our trajectory for success matches his. We go where Sonny takes us." The bid, which remains undisclosed, was regarded by some as an attempt to pry away a future world-class leader, at a cut-rate price. One indignant fan noted, "Just because we're Exeter and a small club doesn't mean they can offer rubbish fees." With goal scoring on par with elite teams like Chelsea, some were surprised by the rumors of the fee offer. Still, a handful of commentators, looking at Exeter's profit margins and football operations, noted that Exeter take a risk in declining a major fee--even a low offer. "£40, 50, 60 million? That would be huge for Exeter to take in, and then to reinvest across multiple positions of the squad," one said.
"What good is that reinvestment if you can't score in the Prem," replied Gibbons in her analysis of Exeter's roster. "Cox proved last season he could score here, that's invaluable to the team. We've seen too many failed major purchases-- even Exeter signed a player who was a bust at this level."
Exeter did lose a handful of significant players in the transfer window. Published estimates from football bloggers show that Exeter currently enjoy a small profit on sales, although this is subject to official confirmation.
Much of Exeter's reputed profit came from three sales. Moving on from failed striker Erik Botheim, Exeter unload the player and his contract to Bristol City for £9.9m. Kinkoue, who never really broke through into the first team with any consistency, accepted terms with Middlesbrough.
But the shock move was relegated Crystal Palace, desperate to shore up its bid for immediate promotion, buying Ngoma for £17.1m. The promising American winger showed great potential last season and was 2nd in assists for Exeter. His touch and crossing acumen helped Exeter through a challenging spring season and some thing that his departure is a significant dent in Exeter's futures.

Ultimately, Exeter made few moves to bring in players, counting on a smaller number of hopefully shrewd choices to lead the way. As Gibbons notes, "There was some roster bloat last season; even with many players out on loan, Exeter carried more players than they could really find time for. This was a smart offseason to make a profit on academy graduates, while still identifying the core players who will help the team.
The season looks promising, with star man Cox already notching 4 goals in 6 appearances, while Camara and Clark both have tallied 2 goals and 1 assist each.
Gyokeres hasn't lost much of step, with 2 assists and a goal to his name.
Meanwhile, young star in the making Rory Maguire continues his run of excellent form. The young fullback had a bad day at the Carabao Cup, but has put in stellar shifts in the Premier League, and is quickly becoming one of Exeter's top choices in the back line. With his work, Exeter already have two clean sheets in the league.

A new star is rising in the defense also, with another academy product impressing in duty. Sebastian Benson, another 20-year-old defender, has been earning minutes in the starting XI and as one of the first off the bench. The centre-back is explosive in short areas and a dominating aerial talent to win headers away from even the fiercest attackers.

Question 3: What tactics will Exeter adopt to maximize their players?
With Gyokeres and Cox both on the field, Exeter found themselves in a surprising bind: The two forwards would either force Exeter into something like a 4-4-2, and thus push either defensive midfielder Medon Berisha or attacking midfielder Kristian Hlynsson to the substitute's bench, OR, Exeter could drop into a 5-man back line, and sacrifice the talented winger Bobby Clark to the exigencies of the formation.
Exeter usually chose the 4-4-2, and the gamble SOMETIMES worked in Exeter's favor. Analyst Beth Gibbons explains: "When Gyokeres is on the pitch with Cox, this is a dangerous and pacey attack. Gyokeres has proven adept at both holdup play where he links Cox to the midfield, and at running onto balls from the wings or from Camara, who's incredibly talented as a passer. But if Camara and [midfielder David] Watson get forward, there's nothing in front of that back four to protect against the counter, and Exeter were exposed frequently there.
But if Watson stays back to shield that line, or if Maguire doesn't track forward, Exeter were too one-dimensional, and really strong defenses absolutely stymied the attack.
Exeter have adopted a more flexible approach this year, including a surprise 5-4-1 that absolutely gobsmacked Manchester City in the early running this season.
Gibbons on the new look: "This was a real surprise, as it put Camara deeper than usual. But it was incredibly effective as it provided two defenders to cover Haaland, and freed the wing backs to come inside to help against the centre-mids, or to cover those wide wingers. Maguire's work against Foden was absolutely stellar, as he stymied the England international all match."
The lineup for the shock win over Man City
Exeter put on a defensive clinic against the champions, winning 2-0 in style, with a Cox brace to lead the team. Camara was incisive as usual, but the real hero was Watson in the middle to cut off the Manchester transition, and Maguire wide, who posted 6 successful tackles against Foden and won almost every battle on that side.
Exeter shifted onto the attack for its match against Brighton and revealed a swashbuckling 4-3-3 with a fascinating double-pivot in the midfield. "The one defensive midfielder was often over-run," said Maher in a podcast interview after the match. "So we took the usual midfield triangle and inverted it, giving us two men to break up attacks. Idrissa's so good at launching after an interception or a tackle, so we let him sit deep and orchestrate, but he has free roam of that side of the pitch, to work into space more or push forward. So he and Matty [Kowalczyk] act almost like 2 attacking mids when we had the ball, but then he comes back to defense really quickly."
Wide, Gyokeres and Clark pushed up field and menaced the fullbacks. Brighton struggled with this positioning and gave up goals to both of the wide men, while Cox facilitated with an assist and a number of key passes.
The positional flexibility has been impressive from the Grecians, and Exeter now sit 5th in the table after six matches. The most impressive stretch has come in September, with matches against Manchester City, Tottenham, and Arsenal. Most fans would have been ecstatic to come away with one draw in those 3 matches, and maybe add one point to the total from those three. Instead, Exeter took points in every one of the matches, including the clean sheets against Manchester City and Arsenal.
Recent Results
"If you told us, draws against two teams there, any fan would have taken it, right?" said Maher in the post-game press conference after the Arsenal match. "A clean sheet against Arsenal? Absolutely, you take that. But the fans have been excellent in their support, and the lads stepped up and executed against Manchester, and all of a sudden, they have this confidence to go out like they did. We fell behind against Tottenham but got the 82nd-minute equalizer because they never quit, they feel like they can go against any team."
With the 5-game unbeaten streak, Exeter have laid down a marker that they wager they'll improve on last season's finish, and they're a danger to take points from any of the usual Big Six. "We're not scared," said Idrissa Camara. "We're hungry. Everyone else should be scared."
The Verdict:
Exeter look to have improved the defense and kept the most important cogs in the attack, although there are rumors that some elite Champions League sides are eying up winger Clark. The lineups will be a man-management challenge for the coaching staff, as there are simply a few too many great midfielders to balance out--someone has to drop to the substitute's bench. If Maher and the staff can manage playing time and player expectations, this will be an exciting team to watch this season. Our prediction: 10th place.

Finances are paramount for a small club. The first season in the Prem, we operated with a net spend in the transfer window, to bring in important players that bolster the squad. Last season was the first season (out of 6) to see this spending. Maybe I'll do a finances post soon because I find that stuff fascinating.
Randomizer for transfers; transfer targets are limited to +1 over position average, with 1 player per year allowed to be significantly beyond that. This season, we targeted a CB to improve the defense and lucked into the signing of Vitik. He was actually our 3rd choice-- there was a top-notch free agent but we lost him to Chelsea and thus we had to wait for some player sales before we could afford a move.
For transferring players at or below the team average, I use a very simple weighted randomizer that's built into my google sheets. For the players that are +2 or more beyond the team average, I use https://5ungc6-joseph-boyd.shinyapps.io/FifaDiceRoll/ crafted by another excellent member of this subreddit. It changes the probability of signings depending on how far above the average your intended signing is.

2024.05.14 02:41 Kagros Guide to Infinite Rank with Tribunal Over the Past Four Seasons

I've been playing Tribunal for the past few months and I've used it to hit week 1 Infinite every month. It's basically a guaranteed Infinite as long as you know how to identify bots. Because Tribunal always has low power on the earlier turns, the bots will always Snap and you can collect your free 8 cubes. Decklist at the end.
TL;DR: Abuse bots with Tribunal and get easy cubes. Against human players, retreat liberally since you only need a 25% win rate to eventually reach Infinite.
Deck
Metas change, but Tribunal is forever. It's kind of like how Shuri Sauron used to be ol' reliable, before the power creep kicked in. To give an idea how just how steady this deck is, I've only changed it once over the past few months, which was when Zabu got nerfed (swapped it out for Sera). The Shang-Chi nerf at the end of last year made classic Tribunal playable, followed by the Omega Red buff in February really put the deck together. If Tribunal stops working due to the numbers not being good enough, I'd be very concerned with the state of the game.
Right now, with the Patriot meta, running Tribunal might be a bit dangerous since Enchantress is back, but that's nothing our Cosmo can't handle. Always use protection.
I see that the Negative version of Tribunal is running around a lot, but I don't find it as strong. It's great to hide the last turn play, but in my opinion is not consistent enough. Negative may have a higher ceiling, but you are just as likely to miss Iron Man and Mystique and zap down Onslaught and TLT. You also lose Iron Lad, which could come in clutch on Turn 7.
As mentioned in the TL;DR, the strength in the deck is winning 8 cubes from bots. Because we don't put out much power turns 1-4, it's very easy to be losing two lanes, which will lead to the bot snapping on turn 5. You can easily snap back if you have the combo and generally, even if you don't have Magik, you can win games just off of a Iron + Tribunal stack without Onslaught.

How To Play + Notes

Standard line is Magik turn 3 or 4, and then Iron Man turn 5, Onslaught turn 6, and Tribunal turn 7 all in the same lane. The three cards in the same lane gives you 22 power across all three lanes if Magik is in another lane, otherwise it's 24 if you have all three in the same lane. As a result, you absolutely need to make sure you have enough turns to play your combo. If you can't, just hit that retreat button. There are ways around it which I give some examples below, but it's all about managing your energy to set up your combo. Without any shenanigans, you usually average around 28-30 power per lane which will win against most decks.
If you fail to draw Iron Man before turn 5, Sera turn 5, Onslaught turn 6 on the same lane can let you play out Iron Man + Tribunal turn 7.
Ravonna on T2 lets you play Jubilee on T3 and sets up a T4 Iron Man, so you can follow up with a T5 Mystique as a substitute for Onslaught in case you don't find Magik so you can T6 Tribunal.
Cosmo, though, is the secret sauce to the deck. We are obviously weak to cards like Enchantress and cards that can zap Limbo out. While Cosmo will lose you a few games because you are locked out of Jubilee or Iron Lad, it will win you more cubes overall because you won't have to worry about a surprise tech card that loses you 8 cubes. You can always Iron Lad or Jubilee Tribunal on the last turn in a separate lane if it's still in your deck too.
Cosmo will also hose some decks too like Destroy or Wong, so you can pick up those free wins with it.
Super-Skrull is important for the mirror and also helps against all of the Ongoing decks. If I'm up against an ongoing deck, the right play is Super-Skrull + Mystique Turn 7 in separate lanes, one of which has Onslaught on it. Super-Skrull however does make you weak to Loki, though if you see Loki, you best bet is the retreat. Same with if you think it's stolen by Cable. However, just remember that if you have Iron-Man + Onslaught out, their Skrull will not double the Iron-Man effect, so it can still be winnable.
Omega Red is an interesting card and might take some practice because timing matters for Omega Red. If you are winning the lane Omega is played in when you drop Tribunal, it becomes much more harder to disrupt because the boost Omega gives you will also be applied to that lane. I usually like to play Omega Red not on my Iron Man + Onslaught stack because the +3 power can be multiplied through that stack while not taking up a spot on that location. You can play Omega on the stack if you'd don't other cards to fill the stack, but I like to think of it as a fifth card on the stack than have it take up space.
As for cards to watch out for, anything that changes locations is bad. Retreat if you are up against Thanos and they have reality stone. Snowguard Hawk and Legion are even more dangerous, because Cosmo will not be able to stop these unless timed precisely.
Enchantress, Rogue, and Red Guardian are all dangerous. Cosmo protects against these though.
Magneto could hose you if it plugs up your Iron Man lane before you play Onslaught.
Locations don't matter too much since we start our game plan after turn 3. I like to spread out my early plays just in case. If you ever see Mojoworld, make sure it's filled. If your opponent doesn't fill it for whatever reason, you win just by playing Tribunal. Locations that give cards additional power should be played on. Magik away any restrictive locations.
As for substitutions, you can always swap out Skrull for another tech card, especially if you are afraid of it being used against you. Everything else I think has a role in the deck.
Overall, I find this deck to be very solid for climbing. Give it a try; it's basically Solitaire imo. Happy to answer any questions on piloting the deck.

Like 99% of games I’ve played especially open world games have some type of ruins/ abandoned buildings that are super common throughout the map. Anyone else realise this. Obviously they exist in real life too but not as all as often especially actual ruins.

I wanna think GTA V had a terrific immersive online experience, I thought it was at first, but then it got outta hand. So...I haven't played online since the Heist update back in 2014-2015, so I dunno what else has changed since. All I know is that it has gotten bigger and bigger with...stuff...crazy stuff, like hoverbikes, subs, railguns, whatever.
First of all there's no custom free roam sessions, that means:

Your always visible all the time, have to call Lester to hide yourself on the map for ONE MINUTE.
Online from the start went from 16 to now 32 players in a lobby, creating more chaos.
You can't turn off Auto-Aim for everyone and you have to spam the roll button if you wanna counter.
You'll spawn somewhere close to the action, always!

If you turn Auto-Aim off nobody can target you or you target them, period.
When you spawn you'll be spawn inside the nearest "safezone" (where player's can't attack: like Strip clubs, Night clubs, Ammunation, Hospitals, Hideouts, Yachts, Etc.) and will have a transitioning animation from an activity your doing. If you die near your spawn location, you'll spawn to another near location.
Instead of just a blip you have a "search radius", shooting will cause your radius to shrink to a blip. Being in a crew will show your crew's blips.
Ducking should hide your gamertag completely.
Instead of a Passive Mode lets have an Anonymous mode. In Anonymous mode your gamertag and radius, including everyone else, are invisible from the map indefinitely, but you are not invincible. If you happen to attack a player who is considered "unstable" or "wanted" during Anonymous mode you'll still remain active. Anonymous mode will be locked if:

Your Mental State reaches "Unstable" and beyond.
You have a wanted star.
Your part of a crew.
Your doing a Random Event.

Anyway, that's my two cents on the matter, I just want a more immersive and grounded GTA for once and nothing arcadi. I wanna see in the comments what other improvements / features you want to see.

I do not play many multi-player games at all these days, especially the popular stuff, I end up spending my play sessions in single-player environments. So if you are on PS5 we can sharescreen while you do your own thing or if you're not we can just voice chat on discord.
That brings us to voice chat. That is very important, and I'd want it from the start. Texting is dry, doesn't tell me anything about you nor does it make me feel like the conversation is even close to being "real", it makes me lose interest.
No, I'm not going to sit here and pretend you have to be super high energy and interesting/cool, I'm not that. You just have to be "normal", which I define as not having anything nsfw or weird intentions. Or anything politics related, I don't want that brainrot.

Based on my (limited) research I've decided that Ally has a good HYSA option. I see it (and wealthfront) recommended all the time here.
For those who use Ally i was wondering: Are there any fees involved? Do I have to keep money in for a set time? Is it an online bank only? Is it FDIC insured? Can someone explain compounding interest to me?
Also, off topic from the original question, but I figured I'd ask: What is a CD and do you recommend them? From what I've gathered you "buy" them for a set amount of time and can't access that money during that time. Do these have higher interests rates than HYSA, and are they FDIC insured/safe to "buy"?
Sorry if these questions are dumb. I am 28, never went to college, and just got my first "real" job that's a career.
Extra info: I have 4k sitting in a vystar account with like .2% interest and want to change that. My average bills/total cost to live averages 650$/month. (I'm a trucker and live in my truck 95% of my time- when I do come home my dad let's me live in his spare bedroom rent free for the 2 or 3 days im home a month.) -Its too dayum difficult to get an American Express credit card. If I share my personal experience after providing them with my bank statement, my past three month salary slips, my ITR fillings they still asked for two more proofs of income. Its too big a hassle for a card half of India wont accept. I get it you get referrals and gifts and all. But honestly its like luring kids into Omni with toffee.
AmEx is like the Amway of credit card world. Its better to opt for other cards than this. For SmartEarn the minimum income is 4.5 LPA. I was 20 my first salary was 14k and HDFC offered me Moneyback with 40k limit still grateful for that. Amex has one thing and one thing only. Its name.
-Cred is fine. People need to stop dissing on it. I know people who have won free TV sets via Cred. Yesterday I made two bill payments got like Rs. 12 sometimes I get 1. The whole point of credit cards was to make life easier and rewarding. People need to chill out. Pay your bills and relax not every aspect of our being shall earn us rewards. Those with credit cards are already getting better offers and deals that should be enough.
The main motive with Cred should always be easy bill payments. Fast and reliable. Thats its. Also to those who shall come up with Cheq or Mobikwik or HDFC RBL Cards. Its simple not worth it. Not everyone has an account in HDFC I personally got it closed. Pay through your cards and relax with the bills.
-People make a big deal of conversion ratios, partner points. Booking Accor hotels, flights. The prices for those are already ramped up. So no big deal, if you try booking through a good travel agent you would get a better deal. Im surprised all these credit card enthusiasts never talk about. Also I always wonder how these people go on vacation this much. I dont get the time to simply do it maybe my bad.
I personally have seen that HDFC SmartBuy and Axis Grabdeals sometimes offer higher rates for stuff than others. So it really isnt worth the extra points if the prices have gone high. Tried this with Myntra. You could see for yourself and you shall see the difference.
-No one bank or credit card issuer sucks. Everyone make mistakes. Happens . Move on. You do what best gets you started. No need to follow on in others footsteps or get influenced by others.
-Simple cards are the best. Straightforward rewards no siyapa.
-Swipe, tap, enjoy. Its a tool to make life manageable and easy. Not a game we have to play on repeat.
-MoneyBack sucks but it was a good start for many.
-Comparing what you have to be and give to het Infinia it doesn’t matter. It’s a super premium card for the elites. It doesn’t matter how good it is when most of us cant get it.

Hello! I have never used Reddit before, and I wasn't quite sure what to title this post, or what subreddit to put it in.
I have a half sister, and recently it has been bothering me that I do not know anything about her at all. She in is pictures from when I was little, playing with me and my brother, however I do not remember her much but from photos she often played with us. If I had to guess, she was a teenager or in her 20s when I was a toddleyoung child (and now I am in my late teens). My parents have zero contact with her due to an unfortunate situation in which she had stolen from them and other members of my family (I think she was a little bit troubled growing up with a strange environment on her mother's side - she is my Dad's daughter - and it resulted in her doing bad things. I don't think I can fully blame her for much that happened for them to fall out as there are probably two sides to every story, but I know it was very upsetting for my Dad and apparently she was quite nasty to him). Additionally, I know that after everything happened my Dad tried to contact her / keep in contact with her which resulted in very little, and that her mother often tried to manipulate her against him or would not make her aware of his reaching out.
This is honestly all I know of the situation and it troubles me deeply that I know so little. I haven't asked my parents much about it as I know it upsets them (mainly my Dad, I truly cannot remember a time he has every mentioned her name) and that I haven't really cared at all about the fact I have a sister until the past couple of years. It didn't really hit me until around 2021/2022 that I should have a sister and I don't due to things that happened when I was too little to understand, now all I have of her are old photos and the knowledge that we would play hide and seek a lot.
I decided to search from her online a bit after I turned 18, sparked by a boy I knew who's own Dad reached out to tell him on his 18th birthday that he actually had a half brother which made me wonder for some reason why my sister has never reached out to me. When I turned 18 I felt a little as if someone owed it to me, as if she should message me since I'm an adult now. I found her Facebook and Instagram, but she was private on both / had no posts. I only knew it was definitely her as the accounts had the same profile picture and a few of my family members also followed her Instagram account. It shocked me seeing her face, I thought she was beautiful and looked nothing like me (except maybe the eyes) and it felt like there was this whole person that I deserved to know, apart from some photographs, that is now a grown woman. It hit me quite hard after that, like I finally understood she was a real person.
For some clarification, some of my Dad's side of the family are still in contact with her (I am assuming). I didn't know this until I was maybe 15, and my parents didn't exactly know it either. I don't think my Dad was upset his family were in contact and seeing her, more that he was not involved in the process (his family isn't the nicest/it's a weird situation that is too much too unpack here). It happened when we were at a cousin's birthday party and suddenly my parents were extremely uncomfortable, and after an hour or two we got my brother (who was it the other room) and left. Turns out, my Dad's side of the family had invited her to this party without telling him, and she was there in the other room. Sat next to my brother and my Nan, whilst my brother was completely unaware. He had no idea who she was, and none of our family had decided to tell him? That is a specific part I cannot get over.
Anyways. I've just found her LinkedIn profile, and I am honestly desperate to know anything about her as there isn't anything online at all other than her name and a few photos (most of which from the 2010's). The whole situation just upsets me deeply. Why hasn't she reached out at all? I get why she would have reserves, maybe she doesn't want to, but it still hurts me that I have zero connection with her, know nothing about her but her name, because I should have a sister!!! It also makes me angry, because she is a grown woman now and was so much older than me at the time and why would she not want to make me aware of her, and I now constantly find myself dwelling on if she even thinks about me at all.
I know I should ask my parents (probably my Mum) about the whole thing, maybe explain my upset about it, however I am currently at University and I feel like it is more of a face to face conversation. I also do not get to see my Dad's side of the family much at all, and I would really never go to one of them about it as it would feel like a betrayal to my parents instead of just asking them. There is also the fear at the back of my mind that I will somehow run into members of my Dad's side of the family and that they are with her, and I will be totally unprepared for it.
I don't know. I don't want to reach out myself. I don't even know if I am posting this in the right place. Just a bit of a vent (my friends vaguely know I have a half sister but I've never gotten into it much and don't want to drop the conversation on them), as well as asking for some advice or if anyone has ever had a similar situation. Was replying to someone who’s looking for a first bike and my response was getting long so figured I’d post it for all for others looking to get in to pit biking. After almost 20 years and countless pit bikes bough, ridden and sold, here’s some highlights…
If you want a good bike that’s reliable I suggest you buy one of the Japanese trusted brands. These random Chinese bikes break too often and while there’s some that are better than others, it’s still generally not worth it. Especially if you’re not used to working on bikes. You don’t wanna buy one you’re gonna have to be fixing right after getting it.
The bike you get depends on your size but I think the best all around regardless is a 110. There’s CRF, KLX , Ttr, I don’t think they make the DRZ 110 anymore, but if you’re going to buy used that one’s cool too. As long as you get to test the bike/someone trustworthy tests it and takes a good look, there’s no reason not to save some bucks and buy used for a first bike. Unless money is no concern then by all means cop new. I’ve always bought mine used and I’ve had about 10 different pitbikes. I’d say you can probably find a decent functional bike for as low as $1200 then up from there. More likely $1800/2k tho. Used low priced bikes might be some years old and have some dings but if one of the tried and true brands it’ll still be solid enough to ride and not worry about.
Depending on where you are, there are several factors to consider when getting your first bike. The real big consideration is: where could you ride? Do you have land or is there land you’re able to ride close to you? or an OHv area near you? Where I live in the bay area CA and there’s nowhere for many miles from me. You’d have to drive like an hour to get somewhere you can legally ride then another hour or two to the next ohv area, so unless you have land, this is far from the best place to ride / have a dirt bike.
My solution was to get a plate and some lights to get my bike Street Legal, so if you’re in a place that has a lack of places to ride, consider going Street Legal route. People often assume they can just cruise around on pitbikes no problem, but I’ll tell you in my area you just 100% can’t. There’s plenty of rural areas where no one cares at all, but in major cities and suburbs cops will pursue, write you a big ticket, take your bike and impound sometimes and get super pissed. However if you’re in a really big city, there are some with no chase policies in place. If that’s the case, when cops try to stop you, and you run from them, They did not chase you because it would be more dangerous than it’s worth. You don’t really wanna have to do that, but it’s a thing. Some cities seem to have given up on policing dirt bikes, which is a win if you have one. The cops just have bigger problems in some cities, so in my area it seems that the suburbs are the ones that really get screwed and you can get away pretty Scott free if you’re in the city. It complicates the matter because if you are in one of those cities where it’s a gray area, and the cops don’t seem to chase, but you don’t want to run the risk of having to deal with them chasing you for no reason, getting a plate could be a solution, but then if you’re riding around doing wheelies and riding with groups and they do decide to come after you guys, you’re just wearing a name tag (plate) and they can identify you anywhere, so it’s kind of better to keep the anonymity in some scenarios. Then again If you’re in a position to have to flee from the cops While riding dirty and by yourself it can be a sketchy situation situation.
TLDR- avoid the offbrand, Chinese, knock off etc. and go with the namebrand Japanese bike for longevity and reliability. If you’re trying not to break the bank, buying used is fine (craigslist or similar etc.) 110 is a myth suggestion for an all around fun, safe, reliable pit bike. If new to riding, you should put in plenty of thought as to where you will ride and what to be prepared for depending on your area regarding legalities and policy’s.

But when she knew I cheated on him , she felt disgusted I think . Our sister bind kind of broke too that night . My life was dull , I missed him every second , I missed talking to him , I missed his smell , everything . I just focused on work , two months went by with no contact . I saw him near IT park at our spot one day, he looked like he was sick , he lost weight , his eyes are dry , he looked so pale . I saw him from a distance and I couldn’t believe my eyes , my baby looked so weak and sick , he was having a coffe and smoking a cig alone at the place we used to sit . I stood there seeing him leave ,but I didn’t give up , I started texting and snapping so much and somehow I made him talk to me normally , but his eyes has lost its color, he looks like he is tired of everything . After few days we both got drunk and alone , I kissed him as soon as I got the chance , he kissed me back too , usually when he kisses , he hold me ears , looks me in the eyes and kiss me , he did the same out of the habit , as soon as our eyes locked , he bursted out in tears , I truly felt how much this man loved me and how much I hurt him , he wanted to do more but he stopped himself , when he burst into tears, my heart completely broke , I hate myself so much , I hate my friends for fucking up my mind , I hate that guy . My man is gettting punished for giving everything to me , its been a year , he changed , he looks lean , unhealthy , I even think his hair is falling , almost like a zombie . I would glady kill myself for him , I just want him to be happy , I destroyed the only person I love , I see how devastating this can get for him, he looks so weak , I can’r accept it . I should’ve defended him when they joked about him . Its all my fault , its been a year and I still can;t go back to him , I can’t imagine another guy to raise my kids , I want him . Help me .

2024.05.14 02:23 Mrhood714 Terminator: Resistance Is... not good

I have been hearing the constant praise of this game and the plot lines on this subreddit for months now. I don't understand how anyone can recommend this game. The pacing is super slow, the gameplay flow is generic, and all the mechanics are so terribly developed, the crafting and collecting, the nonsensical story legit makes no sense - it all started with this Annihilation Line of T800's and then you're just free roaming around Los Angeles and the Annihilation Line just disappears? Replaced with dumb robots that just walk back and fourth on a preset line and happen to all hang out right next to giant bombs of fuel - I think the humans would have won the war a long time ago and would present no threat if this was even canon. I used the plasma sniper rifle and was taking shots from afar and the T800 just stands there most of the time. Why is there terminals with screens and other bs in the Skynet outposts? If they are all connected and receiving information there wouldn't be some human-like terminal setup to hack.
It's seriously a disappointing game and it took me MONTHS to finish and I had to just suck it up and get through the slog of gameplay because I was hoping the plot or the details would expand some part of the story line but it provided zero additional context or value to the lore.
What exactly about the game are people referring to when they say good? I've played the PS2 game but this is just as bad as the other Terminator games. The ending scenario was lame too you don't even get to see inside of Skynet. Not to mention the TDE that doesn't have some cool particle effects or anything you just get shown a power point of slides.
I would NOT recommend this game. I would also rate this game an easy 2/5, 4/10. I give it some merit for trying to do something in the universe and the bigger set pieces can be interesting but overall hardly worth the experiences.

2024.05.14 02:22 CapNo3885 I (31M) ended things with my first ever girlfriend (36F), did I make a mistake?

we've been together just over 10 months. Over that time some odd things have happened which made me question my trust in her and I like her but have been slightly wary of her since. I've been staying with her at her apartment for the past couple months or so and lately nothing too weird has happened and she seemed to be much better overall. But she recently asked if I wanted to move in and I just felt like I wasn't ready for that kind of commitment at this point as I was still trying to regain her trust and wasn't fully over some of the stuff that happened, and so I ended things. She is completely heartbroken, says she's in love with me and wants me in her life. And I question whether I made the right choice and whether I overreacted to some of the stuff the has happened.
I wanted to write out all the situations but the post got way too long too quick. But one of the bigger incidents was once (before I was staying there consistently) we were texting throughout the day and then suddenly she stopped replying, And I didn't hear from her for the rest of the day. I tried again the next morning and then finally she replied that afternoon but it was a very short response that's very unlike her. Then that night she texted saying a guy had gotten stabbed outside of her apartment while trying to help her with something. So she brought him up to her apt and tended to his wounds and had him stay the night there (she says he stayed out on the couch). I didn't know what was going on and was a little bit angry as well and then she called me. She acted like it was no big deal but she could tell in my voice I was not in a good mood (I was trying to figure out what was happening) and she said I was being rude and hung up on me, and also said the guy had left.
She called again moments later (or I did I can't remember) and there was some guy talking in the background who I thought was one of her roommates but she said it was the guy. I said "I thought he left," she said "he came back." I didn't know what to say and then she's like "ooooh you got real quiet" in a mocking type way. The guy is super drunk and she's pretty drunk too I think. They were both being a little disrespectful to me and he mentioned how they played cards together the night before (something that was a thing her and I had started doing together recently which I really enjoyed) and they mentioned they were going to play a game this night too. He was telling jokes and in one of them mentioned the town and street I live on which was really weird. Also mentioned at one point that his son or sons came over as well (I think to check on him but also it sounded like they hung out for a bit too).
It seemed like he was going to stay the night again. I didn't know what to do but my instincts were going wild and while it was late and I had to go to work early and it's like a 35 min drive to where she lives, I said I was coming. We also facetimed and the dude was chilling laying back on her bed. I stayed on the phone the whole way there. Once I said I was coming she got a little quiet and the guy started acting nervous and at one point said "you didn't mention you had a boyfriend" (she says she did mention it) and "at least we didn't have sex". He kept saying he's got to go but she said stay and meet my boyfriend. I get there and they're in her room with beer cans and tobacco everywhere and then he leaves. She said to him "you can stay but we are taking the bed," (she may have said "room" but I'm pretty sure she said bed) which shouldn't that go unmentioned?? Once he was gone she's like "are you breaking up with me?" I wanted to in that moment but I pictured her just calling up that guy and having him come back if I did right then plus I was still in shock as to what just happened so said "no."
We talked a little about it in the following days and she knew I was not happy with what happened but we didn't have any huge in-depth discussion about it. Since that day she makes random comments here and there like "you're the only guy I want in my room," or "you're the only guy who would be anywhere near my bed" little comments like that in conversation.
There was a point where she was trying to get off of a certain medication, without a doctors help and was struggling with it big time and acting extra crazy due to it and I can't remember if this was during that time or not, but either way it's a bit messed up right? And even though she's been way better lately, I can't help but still be disgusted by this.
There are a few more incidents in the past I'd like to share but this one's probably the worst. And it's too bad because she seems to have changed for the better lately now that she's getting proper medication and whatnot from a doctor but not enough time has passed to where I have regained my trust on her and not think of incidents like this.

2024.05.14 02:21 AdFinal9046 What were your G-Rank expeditions experiences?

I've just replayed and finished MH4U for the first time in 3-4 years over a month, and boy, it was an experience. The game has more mainline story than I thought, I'm getting a better grasp with the weapons (save gunner weapons, Sword and Shield and Lance are my mains), the characters are feel lively, fun, and some of the dialogue is relatable in this game and in real live. I felt truly happy when I cleared Shagaru Magala and Rusted Kushala Doara arc and reached G rank, too. I'm upset I that I can't play online with fellow friends or hunters anymore since the server shutdown...
Then I went to G rank expeditions, and accidentally saw 3 Deviljho (two were savage and one were regular). There were two savage in the same map after I took out R. Basarios. I decided to hunt a Savage and a hit can one shot or get you nearly killed. I'm surprised I took out one of them, but I weakned the other savage and got away. After enduring four carts and making one savage flee with dungs. Then a vanilla Jho just spawned and a Blue Kut-Ku appered, too. And seeing this made me flee to the end of the cart, with fear, constant thinking and doubt within me. I'm still satsifed leaving with 7k CP.
Does anyone think G rank expeditions is harder compared to G rank Quests if you don't have the right stuff? Am I just unlucky? I'm still enjoying and learning various, but this game is still the hardest MH up to date to me. Feel free to chat along and share me your heart-stopping experiences!
TLTR; Replayed MH4U and it was fun, only for the game to make it harder by sending and making me fight three Deviljho in a G-rank expedition. Does anyone else have unpredicable expeditions like that or something entirely different?
