I have my first colonoscopy on Wednesday (31F) and am super anxious both about the procedure (I have never been sedated) and the results.
I am specifically worried an IBD diagnosis as I've had a number of concerning symptoms post pregnancy including bleeding, mucus, diarrhea, and a questionable skin tag. My blood and stool work all came back normal but since symptoms have not resolved doctors advised to continue with the colonoscopy.
Would love any words of advice or positive stories!! I have been so stressed about this and cannot wait for it to be over.

I did some reading here this weekend about permanently disabling the Telematic Control Unit (TCU) in my 2021 Mazda 3 and wanted to share my experience for others interested in doing the same.
Yesterday, 05/12/2024, I unenrolled my vehicle from Connected Services and deleted my profile via the app.
Today, 05/13/2024, I called Mazda customer service after reading the following paragraph on Mazda's privacy policy website here:
"IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DISABLE OUR COLLECTION OF DEFAULT DATA FROM YOUR CONNECTED VEHICLE REGARDLESS OF MODEL YEAR, PLEASE CONTACT OUR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE CENTER AT 1-800-222-5500."
The customer service representative I spoke with was extremely unhelpful. When I asked about permanently disabling the TCU, he questioned me several times as to why I would want to do so in the first place, stating it was used for diagnostics, to track my car if it was stolen, helps Mazda with R&D, etc etc. When I made it known I was aware of what disabling the TCU does and wished to proceed, he attempted to walk me through unenrolling from Connected Services. I informed him I'd already done so and asked for confirmation that this was what permanently disabled the TCU and he said it was. I knew better, but was at work at the time and couldn't go back and forth anymore. Even with Connected Services unenrolled, the vehicle is still collecting the following data:
“Driving Data”: driving behavior data, which includes the acceleration and speed at which your Connected Vehicle is driven and use of the steering and braking functions in your Connected Vehicle (Driving Data is collected for each driving trip and transmitted at each Ignition Off); and
I called back later and spoke to another representative who attempted to have them permanently disable the TCU again. The representative I spoke to was very nice, but didn't know what I was even asking for and had to "look it up." She gave me the same speal mentioned earlier, but finally agreed to go through with the process. Unfortunately, she instructed me to delete the vehicle from Connected Services and when asked several times if that disabled the TCU affirmed that it was.
This, again, didn't seem right, however I took her at her word and hung up. An hour later, I thought it would be wise to get it in writing that the TCU was disabled so I called back again. The third rep I spoke to was far more knowledgeable and confirmed my suspicion that my second call was unsuccessful. She, however, did know how to complete the process and said she would have to escalate to another representative who will call me back in 24-48 hours and will actually send the "kill" command to permanently disable the TCU once and for all.
It's baffling how many hoops I had to jump through to have this done. The fact I got three different answers, or maybe I'll say 2.5 since the second representative did try to help me, is slightly ridiculous. After what I read here and on other forums, however, I should've expected as much.
I hope this helps anyone else interested in disabling their vehicle's TCU. I read that dealers may be able to do it too, but since I only spoke to Mazda directly I can't confirm that.

Hello lovely mamas!
I’m just about 8 weeks pp and currently producing anywhere from 60-64 oz per day. My LO only eats about 24 oz. I have a chest freezer and am gladly creating a stash, but honestly, I’m terrified of having to maintain this oversupply and anxious about potential clogs that come with managing an oversupply.
I know regulating happens anywhere from 8-12 weeks so I’m hoping to get some input before I regulate. Currently pump 8x a day every 3 hrs. I was pumping for 30 mins because that was what emptied me, but I have started gradually pumping for less time (currently pumping 24 mins and planning to get down to 20 mins) to attempt to reduce my supply a bit. I haven’t noticed any decrease in my supply thus far but hoping I will see some decrease…
I guess my questions are:
-should I try to decrease my supply? I definitely plan to drop pumps later after I regulate to make life and pumping more manageable. So should I just deal with the oversupply bc my supply may drop as I drop pumps/encounter stressors/get my period?
-has anyone successfully decreased their oversupply and how did you do it? Should I continue to decrease my time pumping or drop a session altogether? Or both? I am currently reducing the length of time I pump and if my supply does decrease do I continue to pump at the reduced time or make sure I pump till empty once my output is manageable?
I hope to feed my LO breastmilk for at least their first year so I’m really nervous about making the right decision for both of us (being able to provide bm exclusively while avoiding clogs, mastitis, pain).
Thanks for any input/advice as I know y’all already have your hands full with babies and pump supplies! Just a scared FTM over here trying to navigate EPing so I appreciate you all so very much!
*Also, I realize I am extremely blessed to be able to make more than enough milk for my babe and am beyond grateful for what my body has been able to achieve. But the fear of clogs and mastitis is real!

I have finished basebuilding for 8 weeks (5 weeks SE/ 3 weeks Strength) and it has been rough, but I am definitely seeing progress in SE and fat loss. I am 5'9" and 180lbs and would like to get down to 165lbs, so I am in a slight calorie deficit. . Being 62, I no longer have gaining much muscle mass as a goal. I am focused on muscular endurance with 1 set max goals of: high rep push-ups - goal is 80. Currently 29 max. Pull-ups -goal is 15. Currently 0, but 2 chin ups. Lol Sit-ups- goal is 80. Currently 35. and Pistols (for leg strength. Due to scoliosis, I do not do weighted squats). Goal is 10. Currently 1 poorly executed rep due to balance. I may substitute high-rep Hindu Squats to build more endurance.
My question to members is, are there others who have repeated Basebuilding cycles for longer periods to focus more on endurance, rather than strength and mass?

I've been reading that IG hasn't been working on any desktops for a decent bit now, and I'm just sooo curious as to how the hell it's still an issue with IG being as big as they are??? Do they not care to fix it, is it down on purpose? Did they disclose the purpose or when it would be back up?? like so many ?s and it seems like such an easy fix to when the issue is hella inconvenient not to mention, could potentially decrease popularity within IG in the future i.e. if TikTok really does get banned. IG could briefly or maybe even longer who tf knows with todays world, be the next best thing for all content n such until something else is out. Background: 29 years old, former Big 4 audit and licensed CPA, graduated from top 3 university in California. Currently, I am coming up on 3 years of experience working land acquisition for one of the largest homebuilders/developers in the nation. I am the lead underwriter doing the pro formas, writing all memo submittals, and presenting to Board for approval. There is an average deal flow of up to 1-2 acquisitions a month on. Deals range from $10M to $55M in land. I also cover over 6 states, so I get some decent exposure.
My question is that I have always wanted to get into commercial real estate acquisitions, thinking it is more prestigious and lucrative. Not to sound pretentious, but not many of my coworkers across the company went to prestigious/well known schools nor had any Big 4 experience. However, I have friends in commercial saying that my deal flow and experiences this early on are a lot better than what I would be experiencing in commercial right now? I suspect I may have ADHD— whenever I read diagnostic criteria, I always get so confused about how often I show the symptoms. Like I know I generally have a variety of the symptoms multiple times a day, every day, in all areas of my life; but for specific questions like “How often do you forget assignments?” I struggle to accurately put a label on it, because I’m like “well I can think of several examples, but maybe it’s not happening as often as I perceive it is… but maybe I need more reminders than I realize… so… often? sometimes? I was talking to a few friends of mine, and one of them mentioned how she thinks it’s weird if the woman is the darker-skinned one in a relationship. All of my friends agreed and said it’s the norm and they preferred their men to be darker than them. One even said she views lighter skinned men as effeminate and wouldn’t go for one no matter how attractive she found him. There's a coworker who i feel like I've become friends with, but at the same time I'm questioning whether or not we are friends. First thing that made me question it was the staff christmas dinner party. I went along to it only for this friend & i told her i was only going for her. We met up & walked inside & sat down & she then decided 10 minutes later she'd move to another table. I was then on my own throughout the whole night. Now she did offer me a seat & i wish i had of taken it, but i didn't want the people on my table to think i was being rude by moving. The seat that was offered to me then got taken. I now know in the future if I'm at a socail gathering & someone moves away who i plan on spending the night with I'm to follow. This friend seen me on my own throughout the night with no one to talk to & i would've thought she would've come back to the table. Another thing that's got me thinking is the way she always talks about her best friend to me. She always tells me how they are hanging out & doing all these things together & maybe I'm jealous because i don't really have any friends since moving to this town. I'm not sure if she's saying it all to rub it in though. What are your thoughts on this?

 | Made a post a few weeks back detailing my plans for my first drone. Not shown here are equipment (soldering iron, flux, mobula7, better padding for v2, prob something else) Table of Purchased items (for this drone, also bought some equipment and mobula7 + analog module for V2 goggles)
Start of frame + motors. Not much to note here, easiest part by a mile. Soldering + feeling out the layout I want. Removed the cover for the XT60 plug and soldered capacitor to there as I was strapped for space. Close up (fuck off, I don't care how bad it is I spent like 3 hours + $50 on stuff to try and make it easier but it didn't help) Taped the arms, added reciever (wrapped in electrical tape on front of stack). Most importantly, tested continuity and everything passed. Also passed the smoke stopper check with a battery. At this point I found out the TBS V5 frame isn't compatible with the O3 camera (camera is too wide) so I had some down time while I found someone to 3d print parts. Spent most of it figuring out Betaflight and playing with the mobula7. Final Product! 3d printed parts came in (antenna mount, camera mount). My ground lead on the ESC broke off (fuck u in advance) so I re-soldered that in a better position to prevent prop interference (sticking out side now. I could have cut the leads short and flip the battery 180, but i cba to solder battery leads again) Betaflight took me awhile to get sorted (I can go into detail if it helps anyone). Ran into a few roadblocks that I managed to troubleshoot my way through. Had to reflash it a few times and still probably don't have all the settings right, but it flies and the goggles work. Gonna get it more finalized this week in prep for the weekend. Flew it around the house and it felt great. Very happy with my progress. Spent the past month of so super obsessed to getting everything right. Thanks for everyone who helped. Made a couple posts here and people were very helpful. Happy to answer any questions. |

3112 for throat cancer has vaulted into a prime position. Phase 3 is coming. And it’s a developed world health issue, hence the North American and European focus. Again, excellent news.
dMABs is starting to make some serious noise. Despite the uninformed gibberish some will try to tell you, Covid always was (and still is) an actual thing. That’s why Novavax scored a billion plus from Sanofi. (And why 4800 still matters).
Notably missing today was 5401. We were promised news by end of 2Q. Anxiously awaiting update on this one.
A flurry of activity in the next week. Three more conferences plus the shareholders meeting.
Oh, and in the most fortuitous of Inovio timing is the market backdrop: the long anticipated Short Comeuppance.
They’re about to all get smoked.

2024.05.14 03:27 bfpa40 MKR Zero and CAN Shield Assist
I bought a MKR Zero and a MKR CAN Shield and would like to make a stand alone CAN Bus Data Logger. I have a few questions regarding this. First my plan is to power the MKR Zero from the ODB2 Port 12vdc using a 12vdc to 5v buck converter fed into the battery connector on the MKR Zero is this doable? Next Ive read the documents for each device (MKR Zero and MKR CAN Shield) and i think i have a good grasp on what I need to do aside from one thing, when I have the MKR CAN Shield collecting the data is there a good article somewhere to set it up to have it put the data out on 1 pin for the MKR Zero to log and save onto the Micro SD Card? Ive used Arduinos in the past but am not an expert but with some assistance i think i can get this to work. Basically i neeed the portion of the sketch that will set the CAN Shield up to output data on say pin A0. Again any recommendation on where to go to further enlighten myself on doing this? If someone already has a sketch built for doing this i would love to see it.

2024.05.14 03:27 DisasterSpinach After meditating laying down for 20-30 minutes, I feel much better. As soon as I get up for 15 or so minutes, I feel worse again. And also after sleeping, I usually feel worse.
I have a variety of chronic health problems and the only time I feel sort-of-normal is after laying down and meditating for at least 20 minutes.
But as soon as I get up, most or all of the symptoms return. And strangely sleeping doesn't provide relief in the way meditation does.
I don't really know what questions to be asking other than wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and might have some tips.
The health stuff is chronic fatigue (ME/CFS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUrPFqGONM8), muscle tightness, nerve and muscle pain, reflux, GI discomfort, epigastric pressure, temperature sensitivity, environmental sensitivities (e.g. foods, air quality, types of clothing, soaps, etc), noise and light sensitivity, sometimes depression, rarely anxiety.
I don't have the stamina to do most of the basic, gentle qigong exercises recommended. For some reason moving my right shoulder usually makes all my symptoms worse.

This is a question that doesn’t seek out to answer some game issue but what’s a multi class you think would be incredibly fun to do thematically, but it just doesn’t work at all in the game without you hindering your character severally?
For me is Paladin/Barbarian. The idea sounds really cool and would make for a really fun character to play as but mechanically wise you just shoot yourself in the foot as is a struggle to get a good balance, since the stats are constantly trying to fight for priority.
Anyone else found a similar situation?

Let me start with an easier perspective. To a first-dimensional being, a second dimension is made up of an infinite number of first-dimensional objects. In short, a second dimension adds a direction – width. [When we go from the second dimension to the third dimension, we add another dimension – height.]()
Judging from the earlier dimensions, a fourth dimension simply means a fourth direction. You may also have heard the length, width, and height of an object called dimensions. Now, you know why. This fourth dimension cannot be processed by our three-dimensional minds, just like a second dimensional being cannot process a three-dimensional world, as it only sees in one dimension.
[This brings us to my next point – We only actually see in two dimensions.]() In the book Flatland, the main character, A Square, is brought into the third dimension and looks at Flatland from above, seeing everything from inside prison cells to the Flatlanders’ insides. Using this logic, four-dimensional beings will see a complete three-dimensional world and will look at the third dimension just like us looking at the second dimension; they will be able to see everything.
It is also worthwhile to note that an intersection between two-dimensional objects would not be intersected in the third dimension, as with that of the Klein bottle. The Klein bottle is intersected in its three-dimensional interpretation but is a four-dimensional object not intersected onto itself.

I also realized that since every dimension has a dimensional plane, and that by definition, a dimensional plane is infinite, a zero-dimensional plane is not possible. However, there also must be a plane for a zero-dimensional dot to exist on. I have done some research on this zero-dimensional geometry, and it is quite interesting. It is also called a nil-dimensional space. There are even theories that the universe is a zero-dimensional matrix full of zero-dimensional energy.

Title is the simplified version of my simple question, but I’ll elaborate a little. I am very busy for s 15 year old and i barely have time for mental health, much less games, so when i do i usually only play for a little. Over a long while ive gotten to a somewhat decent level (151) and i have not been on a single expedition. Ive heard others talk about how good they are for ammo and shit, but i wanna hear it directly.
Are expeditions good, and are they profitable even if i can only play a little?

Hi there! Hope y’all are doing well. 17 yo class ii male patient here.
This is my very first post into the -askdentists subreddit, which I came across with some hours ago while looking out information on how to read the results for some evaluations I took yesterday (Ricketts and Steiner, specifically) due to problems caused by my lower wisdom teeth.
I must first clarify however that there are other reasons for which i’m seeking help here. (For the record, i never drink nor actively smoke, however the air is pretty much polluted where i live in so might be equivalent to being a passive smoker aswell. this is also kind of a rant btw lol)
You see, it’s been 4 years since I first identified problems with my jaw, regarding bite malposition and overall crowding of teeth. I continuously told both my parents and health professional about these concerns but they kept telling me not to make a big deal out of it.
Over time consequences arrived and I was left not only deeply insecure about my physical appearance, but also worried that if left without treatment this could bring repercusions to my quality of life in a not-so distant future (propension towards allergies and other respiratory issues which i also had before, for example). I went on as my facial structure changed, accentuated some unwanted traits and these unattended issues kept progressing for the worse. The radiographs shown here expose a clearer picture of all that’s been going on.
Now that my overjet+crooked smile have become inevitably noticeable for everyone around they’re finally offering me apparently appropriate treatment, which in general terms implies the extraction of some teeth and orthodontics for jaw and maxillar incisor accomodation, but I’m still not very confident if that will be enough to solve the problem. In fact, the results haven’t been sent to me directly and i don’t understand how to take the radiographs as a reference, neither have i had any explanation of which could be the precursors that led to these issues. Hell, i haven’t even been told where the problem specifically is. So..for now I’m trying to trace back lines with my early medical history to see if my past traumatologic injuries had anything to do with this, wondering if my jaw presents any signs of underdevelopment, or if it is more related to mouth breathing habits during childhood, etc.
I’m looking forward to making an appointment with maxillofacial+orthodontic experts to get answers to these questions and guidance through the whole process, but i’d like to read whatever y’all have to tell to me about this first. Any advice, answers, suggestions, comments are welcome. I’d really appreciate them a lot.
