The Bottom Line (Rtings): "The Samsung DU8000 is an entry-level model in Samsung's 2024 lineup and replaces the Samsung CU8000. It sits above the Samsung DU7000 and below Samsung's QLED lineup. It uses Samsung's AirSlim design, which is meant to provide a slim design that blends into your wall, and this TV comes with Samsung's proprietary Tizen OS, which has been updated to version 8.0 in 2024. The TV has a 20W 2.0 channel speaker system built-in and is available in a wide variety of sizes: anything from a small 43-inch model to a large 85-inch model. It's a basic TV"
"The Samsung DU8000 is okay for mixed usage. It's best suited for watching movies or playing games in a dark room since it doesn't get bright enough to overcome glare in a bright room. HDR content lacks impact due to the TV's unremarkable contrast and inadequate HDR brightness, so blacks aren't deep at all when bright highlights are on screen, and highlights don't stand out the way they should. It also has a narrow viewing angle, so it's not a good option for watching shows or sports as a group, as anyone sitting to the side sees a degraded image."

Its uniformity is decent, but there's some noticeable dirty screen effect when watching sports with large areas of uniform color, like hockey or soccer. The DU8000 is the replacement for the incredibly poor CU8000. Check /TVRepair, /4kTV, & /SamsungTV for the # of issues this tv had. We cannot in good conscious recommend the replacement of the CU8000.
It has a slow processor, horrible motion handling, & poor upscaling.

• Build Quality

"The height of the feet is adjustable, and you can set them to two different positions. The lower position, which you can see in the photo, puts the screen close to the table. The other position is high enough that most soundbars fit below the screen. The height of the lower position is 2.1", and the higher one is 3.07"."
"The back of the TV is identical to the Samsung CU8000. It's made entirely out of plastic and has etched horizontal lines. There are two ports that directly face the back and a cutout where you'll find the rest of the inputs, so these can be hard to reach if you have the TV wall mounted. "
"The Samsung DU8000 has mediocre build quality. It's made entirely of plastic, and there's some wobble from front to back, but the TV recovers quickly. There's also some flex on the back of the TV that increases near the VESA mounting points, but this doesn't cause any issues. Note the person I’m talking about below is the one I wish to marry and there was a point in time, not so distant, when she wanted to - please help me out.
Me (29M) and my partner (29F) broke up a month ago after a 9y relationship. We have known each other for about 20years in total and said we’ll stick to some sort of friendship, as there was no aggression, abuse or cheating in the years we have been together. She said to me after we broke up that she feels the safest with me and it’s such an amazing feeling.
Long story short, she said to me the classic: I love you but I’m not in love with you anymore.
We spoke everyday, doing videocalls (we lived together for the majority of our time together, but a few months back she went back to our home town to work in the family business - I will also move back there in aprox 2 months) and still sharing our everyday stuff with each other - pretty much nothing changed except for the intimacy part, but that was a bit rocky too during past months, so all in all not a massive difference after the breakup.
Note I do want her back, but not in the sense that I wish to jump back into what was, but to start again.
About a week ago, after nights when I couldn’t sleep at all, when I cried like a fucking child, I woke up and wrote a plan, step by step, on how to be the man I always wanted to be, to truly transition to a high status individual. That plan is gold and it literally gave me a world of confidence - not only do I feel I can get her back, but I feel I can live life in a very satisfying way and get what I want, not just from a romantic perspective, but also socially and financially.
Now, here comes the stuff I need help with.
When I started writing up the plan, I said to myself: I’m not going to chase her 1 second longer. So I stopped initiating any kind of contact. I would still reply if she texted or answer the phone if she called, but I’d cut it very short quickly and only communicate the absolute minimum.
She FaceTimed me 3 days ago to say she finally managed to rent a small flat and she can now move out from her parent’s house. Original plan was to rent a flat together in 2 months time when I’ll be there as well, but things changed, but she wanted so desperately to move out and so she managed to find this place. I said: Good for you, I hope you’ll enjoy living there. We then chatted 2 more minutes and that was it.
She rings me again the next day, being very “upset” with me over something I said very recently, which wasn’t true, but only wrongly interpreted. I laughed it off and she calmed down. In the past she would have managed to go under my skin with stuff like that but this time I was really cool about it and super secure. The “anger” was over in a few short minutes.
Today, she rings again. “You never reach out anymore. I always reach out to you. What’s the deal?” - she says Me: I’ve just been super busy, that’s all. Her: You’re doing this on purpose Me: You know I’m super invested in my PhD research and crypto, not to mention the gym and my actual day to day job.
Then I told her about a cool crypto project I started investing in. She was genuinely interested and she doesn’t give a shit about crypto in general.
She knows I’m flying home in 3 days time. She knows I haven’t seen my parents in months. And she asked me to stay with her a couple nights.
She wants me to stay with her for the first 2 nights I’m in the city. She wants to cook me steak. She was like: I found this beef fillet and I think you’d love it.
She also wants me to help her with some small stuff in the new house - like turn on the boiler. I also think she’s a bit afraid to be sleeping alone (but she’s hot, she could have found another man to be there if she really wanted to). This new flat of hers is literally 1 minute away (walking) from my parent’s house in which I grew up, house she slept in probably hundreds of times.
I kept on joking about how I’ll need to check my agenda to see if I can accommodate these nights with her as I’m quite engaged in other night activities. Then she said, still in a playful way, jokingly - Right, then I should check my agenda too, If you don’t have time to spend on activities with me.
WHAT DO I DO GUYS? I’D OBVIOUSLY ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO SPEND ALL MY NIGHTS WITH HER. How do I play this so that I increase attraction? What the heck should I do?
How do I play this right?

I (35 F) have been dating my boyfriend (36 M) for about six months. About six weeks into the relationship he confronted me about my drinking habits. He was supportive and kind, and frankly, he was not wrong about his observations. I was drinking 2-4 nights a week with varying levels of inebriation (sometimes I'd only have a few; other times I would overdo it). He made it clear that was not the partner he wanted in his life. I agreed with him and made a commitment to cut way back because I wanted the same things he did and a partner who was serious about building a life together. I cut back and I'm much happier for it.
A few months later, we had a couple of drinks at a bar, ordered takeout to bring home, and left for my place. We get to my place and before we walk inside he hands the takeout bag over and says, "I'm done, I don't see this working out and going any further," gets back in his car and leaves. I was stunned and speechless. I texted him saying I deserved an explanation and that I was confused since we seemed to have a good time that evening and I didn't want to be left wondering what went wrong.
He did come back over and talked through a laundry list of issues he was having with the relationship, none of which was drinking because as I said, I had cut way back. I explained what I could in regards to his problems and it really boiled down to him not communicating questions he had about me and us. At the end he indicated he wanted to get back together but I told him to go home and take some time to really think about it. The next afternoon he returned with a sincere apology and said he would be more open.
Now, here's where I'm beginning to wonder if I'm being manipulated or if I have in fact broken his boundaries and am in the wrong.
Yesterday was my friend's birthday, she had planned a bar crawl in another city. He was working but he knew all about this plan (weeks in advance) and we texted a couple times throughout the evening. This morning I woke up very early and quite groggy and texted him that I had puked in the car (in a bag) on the ride home. I thought it was silly. I went back to sleep and when I woke up later I texted that I was feeling fine but a little tired.
I didn't hear from him all day. Later in the afternoon I asked him if he wanted to go on a walk before he had to go into work that night. He said "I'm all set." So now I can he's mad so I called him to no answer. I texted asking if he was upset with me. After an hour of no reply to that I sent him another message saying I suspected he was made about the puking comment and while I did go a little harder than I have since our talk, I puked mostly because of getting car sick and the variety of drinks upset my stomach. I then said, if he was upset he needed to tell me because his silence was making me worried.
I got a reply to that which said he set boundaries a while back and needs to figure out if this is something he wants long term.
This is now the third time a breakup has loomed threateningly over my head without any effort to discuss the problem. I like to talk things through and would never threaten a breakup. I acknowledge that I drank a little more than usual and said as much to him, but I'm not sure if I broke a boundary. I thought the boundary was reducing drinking and being more responsible about it.
So, did I break a boundary, or is he using breakup threats to manipulate me? Manipulate me how? I don't know, but I don't want to be in a relationship where I'm always nervous I'm going to get dumped at every bump in the road. Or is it both?
TLDR: I drank more than usual at a friend's birthday and my boyfriend feels like his boundary was crossed and for the third time is threatening breakup before even having a discussion with me.

I (25F) recently reconnected with my ex-fwb (28M) just a few weeks ago (we haven't even kissed/did anything physical, we got dinner a couple times so we literally just sat and talked at the restaurant). I'm fine with just being platonic and it seemed like he was cool with that too initially, but he's been sorta weird these past several days. We talked on the phone 5 nights ago and he made a few dirty jokes here and there (like when I asked him if he could bring me some chocolate next time, he said 'If I put it somewhere else, you'll lick it off'). And then even several days before the phone call, he texted something like "I wonder how much the neighbors probably heard" (like when we used to do sexual stuff).
After the phone call 5 days ago, I called him the next night and he said he was on video call with someone and I asked if I can call later and he said he was knocking out. I hearted his messages and politely let it be, I assumed he didn't wanna talk much anymore or something. 2 days go by, the both of us are silent and then he texts me yesterday morning at like 7:40 a.m. and all it says is "Fortnite?" (we used to occasionally game together LOL) and I replied back later saying just "Sure". He didn't reply to this for hours so at night, I text him again and all I say is "I'm ready". He gets back to me 20 mins later and texts that he raged and ended up deleting the game. I called him almost immediately after to ask what's up and he declines my call and I text him saying "You're being weird". It's the next afternoon now and he still hasn't replied back.
Isn't he being weird?? I can't tell if he's even being honest or what he wants. If he doesn't wanna engage with me in any sort of way anymore, platonic or not, then damn just leave me alone. What was the point of even texting me yesterday morning asking about Fortnite??

The point of this post is for me to understand some of what I believe to be "common" behaviors, and to see if anyone has had similar experiences. Sorry if this is long, I typed it out and didn't realize it would be haha. I guess this turned into a bit of a vent.
Background: We are both 35, Me (m) her (F), we both have a child from previous relationships. We met in Oct of 2019, we had gone to HS together but never talked or hung out then. We met up through mutual friends, and began hanging out often right out of the gate. This were whirlwind, we slept together on the first date, which she told me "She never does". Told me she slept better in my presence than any other time in her life. I was the hero, and all was well. (Same old story lol) and by Jan we were talking about living together. The onset of Covid rushed this, as lockdowns began, we grabbed up a rental and moved in together. We wanted to at least be together as a family if Lockdowns were coming. Thigs were still good for months, and we both handwaved the speed at which thing moved, happily blaming it on covid. We went on an amazing vacation in June of that year (road trip, the roads were empty, again, because Covid.) We got a puppy on this trip and surprised our kids when we got back. By this time there had been a few arguments, but nothing I saw (at the time) as any red flags. She brought her ex up somewhat often in the beginning, and we laughed at some of his antics together. He isnt the brightest bulb, but I didnt see this as a red flag at the time. However, as the summer waned, the arguments kicked up in frequency and intensity. by September, she was telling me things like "you should find someone better" "Im not worth it" etc. I was heartbroken, but now I see this as a "soft exit" she was attempting. I didn't bite, I loved her and was devoted. The arguments got worse, and her "soft exit" turned hard, fast. By late Nov, she was a miserable, stressed angry person who was never happy with anything. Then she kicked me out (and my son, who was 7 at the time). I was on the lease, and didnt actually have to leave, but I did because I wanted to be amicable and I was still so in love with her. Kicked out last week of Nov. She had a new BF by Christmas, and spent the next few months in NC. Come Feb 2021, she started reaching out occasionally. Initially about something benign, like mail. then they just kept going. I was asking to see her, etc, she kept telling me "me talking to you makes NEWBF uncomfortable, we shouldn't" etc etc. I said I didnt care if he was uncomfortable, HER AND I were meant to be etc etc. This back and forth continued through that summer, and in Aug she broke up with him, and I moved back in that Sept. Whirlwind # 2, which as you all my have guessed, didn't last as long. By Jan-March of 2022, we were arguing a lot again, and things were starting to feel awful again between us. My SIL was helping her get a new much more lucrative job, and it "wasn't happening fast enough" and she was all kinds of touchy, angry all the time. Eventually she DID end up getting the job and working from home, and was much happier. Looking back however, I believe this changed effect her view of my "value", as she was now making more than I was. She started complaining a lot about me not pulling my weight, but our budget and exepenses hadnt changed, nor had the amount I was contributing to these things. Seasons effect her mood quite a lot, and by Spring we had gotten a 2nd puppy, and things were again pretty happy most of the time. We planned a 2nd vacation, for the same week in June as the first one, and this time we took our kids. Amazing vacation, best week of my life. During this vacation, i bought a ring at a local mom and pop jewler, and with the help of the kids, popped the question during the high point of our vacation. She was thrilled, kids were thrilled. We head home, 2 weeks of happy, excited wedding brainstorming. Then she went cold. The romance died off very quickly. She started going to a new Gym, and would talk to me about people (guys) she had met there, and brought them up often, talking about how cool they were. I eventually told her these felt like comparisons and I wasnt a big fan, but was glad she was enjoying a new sport. Then my annual "Summers end" camping trip with friends was a drama fest, where she drank too much, and was very flirty (just BARELY mild enough to be able to brush it off when asked about it) with one of my best friends. He was even offput by it, which he and I discussed after the fact. The last few weeks of summer were pretty awful. She caused a big scene at my brothers house, and cried, smearing her makeup, and came out looking a mess. My SIL told her to go back in, as to not worry the kids and she said "they should see this, they should see how me makes me FEEL!" So by late Sept. she was telling me to leave again, I was trying to fix things. One morining right after I put the kids on the bus, she blew up at me over my angry response to two weeks of passive agressive comments about a stupid water jug. She told me she wanted me gone then and there. My son got on the bus, and never got to come home. Never said goodbye to his step sister, his dogs, his house (which he LOVED), his classmates or anything else. I had to pull him from that school, a week into 2nd grade, so Myexwife and I could enroll him in the town she lives in. I had nowhere to go. I had stayed 9 months at a friends house the first breakup, but that wasnt an option this time. I ended up having to stay in a camper for 6 months, which STRONGLY jeopardized my 50/50 custody. Because kids shouldnt sleep in campers through the winter. OBVIOUSLY. 2 months after kicking me out, she told me she found out she had been pregnant since July, and hadn't known. She said she was scheduling a last min termination. We hadn't talked in weeks at that point. She went and did that, and we went back to NC. She stared dating a new guy, from the gym. That didn't last, and she was hitting me up for hookups by January (which had to be secret, I was blocked on SOcial Media). I lapped it up like the eager doormat I was. She went cold on me again in Feb, started dating another new guy, which lasted another few months. Recycle for a month in July, and was very upfront and cold about it being purely physical. I told her that was really hard as i obviously still loved her. She told me she was "figuring herself out, and was blissfully unattached". I missed her, our home, our dogs, our family. She knew it. She slow faded me through August, and I stopped reaching out. October of last year rolled around, and I shot her a message, I was curious, still hurt, and lonely. She told me she met someone new, he made her SO HAPPY, and that i shouldn't reach out anymore. I said Okay, and didn't. I sent a very business-like, typed, letter in early Nov, asking for the last of my belongings back. That was all that was in the letter. Her new BF texted me and was a vulgar, crass machismo tough guy. Couldn't articulate a full sentence, but was basically telling me to "leave them alone, give up, stop bothering them" I was confused and told him I hadn't reached out since Oct and Wasnt planning to, especially after that awful conversation. Months of peace and healing began. Then, as I was living my life, back in Jan, I got more angry texts from him, this time about some mail that had shown up with my name on it (i had no idea). Again i was accused of reaching out, being a stalker, all sorts of nonsense. I again told him I didn't care, and that if he reached out like this again I would take needed steps, blocked him, and went on with life. Then, it happened AGAIN about 2 weeks ago. I got a call from her number, which I didn't answer, then a stream of angry texts, inviting me to go fight him, him threatining me, accusing me of having been abusive of her (she said the same thing to me about her ex) him telling me how much of a "B***h and a P***Y, and a loser" he has be told I am. He bragged that he "put a ring on it". I had to laugh at that one, (good luck dude) again I said, last straw, if i hear from you again, Im calling the cops. I dont care, go away etc. I haven't heard anything since. However she did reach out to my SIL the day after, about something totally random, and they hadnt spoken in ages, but had been very close when we were together. So odd.
Here are the points I want to address. 1. Serial Monogamy. - Can they ever be alone? like, EVER?

1. Cognitive Dissonance - It took me SO LONG to realize that the person I fell in love with, and STAYED in love with way too long was simply a smokescreen. Then during the breakups, I feel sooooo "less than" to be replaced by obvious downgrades. However, only recently, I've truly come to understand that All of the "In love" versions of her are equally fake, and uniquely cultivated for each new man. The person I loved was never real, i think it just felt "realer" to me, because were together longer, and we were what felt like, a perfect match. The argumentative, manipulative, callous and unscrupulous person i knew at the end of relationships was the real her. I thought that was the broken, backside of her perfect shining coin all along. Nope. Other way around.
   
2. Serial Recycles - She doesn't do this with every guy, so why did she do it with me? (although, I think I've seen the last of the recycle attempts, and I wouldn't participate in them at this point either.
   
3. Patterns - Has anyone else had a partner that is very sensitive to things like changing seasons, seasonal depression, or even erratic behavior near the full moon? All of these things applied to her, and one could almost set a calendar to her flighty moods and outbursts.
   
4. Projection, Smear campaign, and re-writing history - All the awful things she told Newguy, (whom i dont know and have never met) to make him hate me so much, but I fell victim to the same mind games about her ex before me. I can't understand what they see as profit for triangulation though. That part has always confused me greatly. What is to be gained by doing this? What's more is that I think she actually ends up believing these smear lies she makes up to crap on her ex, in order to praise the newguy. Then there are all the arguments that were entirely my fault, despite being very conveniently timed for her, and very manufactured feeling.
   

So again, sorry for length. Have any of you had similar experiences? Are these like, default BPD behaviors? Everyday I look back, and am equally amazed that I remained blind for so long, that I let this be done to me, and scariest of all, the "boiling frog" circumstances under which it happened, and progressed without my noticing it.
I can even now, say, knowing all I do, that she is very smart, charismatic, and so convincing. I've heard her brag about how she can manipulate co-workers and subordinates, friends and family. The flags were there all along, but would'nt you know? red flags are hard to see while wearing rose colored glasses.

Okay so i(18F) committed to college 2 months ago. It’s my dream school and I’m so happy about it.
A little over a month ago a girl dm’d me after seeing my picture on the decisions page asking to room together. Our college has a thing where you like fill out a bunch of info about yourself and they match you so that was my plan but I was cool with finding someone this way too.
She seemed a little odd just from insta but nice when I was texting her so I didn’t think much of it. She filled out the paperwork saying we were going to room together like 2 weeks ago, I still haven’t done it but we won’t room together if I don’t do it as well.
But we were talking about what we were getting for the room and she asked if I would split the cost of a Kuerig. I just responded I wouldn’t use it because I hate hot coffee so I assumed that pretty clearly meant no. We were also going to split the cost of a fan for the room. I also said that we should wait to buy anything until like august but then 2 days ago she Venmo requested me for $30 more than half of the fan.
I asked what fan she got that cost that much and she replied “oh I got the fan and the Kuerig.” I was still trying to be nice and said “I’m not paying for half the Kuerig bc I don’t plan on using it.” And she kept telling me stuff like you never know, you probably will need it for like studying and stuff.
I kept trying to just like joke around about it and was like “no I survive on energy drinks I’ll be okay” but she was adamant that I had to split it with her. I said it was a lot of money for something I would never use and she said, “oh I didn’t buy them yet so I could try to find something cheaper.”
I assumed them was referring to the Kuerig and the fan. She still wouldn’t let up so I ghosted her for a few hours while I was with friends and then texted her later Friday night to say “I don’t think we will work as roommates if we bicker this much about something so small. Im still so excited to get to know you when we get there. Have a good one!”
She has been spamming me ever since saying the paperwork is irreversible(which is def not true) and that I need to at least pay her half for the fan. I responded, replying to the message where she said she didn’t buy “them” and she claimed that wasn’t true and she already bought the fan. I don’t believe her because that doesn’t make much sense.
I’ve been ghosting her and started talking to a different girl who dm’d me from the insta post. I feel kinda bad bc she did already fill out the stuff and I am not gonna pay her half of a fan that I won’t use and told her not to buy. Ig I like feel guilty but I kee rationalizing it to myself and everyone irl keeps telling me I did the right thing I guess I just need confirmation from a totally outside source.

i’m not sure if this is an OCD thing, because i have other disorders, but i often have intrusive thoughts about other people.
let’s call this human Kanye. so, kanye is a mutual friend of mine. i don’t really know Kanye that well, but i know what he looks like and stuff. whenever im doing mundane tasks like folding laundry for example my brain goes “hmm i bet kanye does that. isn’t kanye so cool? you should go text him.”

Hey All,
We are in the process of closing on a new home. We had a general inspector out earlier this week, and he reported that the existing AC unit was improperly wired as it was using a #14 Cu wire on a 20 Amp circuit breaker. He stated it needed to be retired with at least a #12 to be compliant with code and safe.
We had also scheduled a HVAC tech to service the unit this weekend. He was out yesterday and I relayed what the General Inspector reported about the wiring. The HVAC Tech reviewed the AC unit nameplate and said that the existing wiring was correct based on the minimum circuit amps. He said that AC units and motocondenser driven circuits can vary from what General Inspectors are used to seeing, but this was wired unit was connected correctly and up to code.
See attached for photos of the General Inspection report/panel and the AC unit nameplate. Is the HVAC tech correct or should I have an Electrician come out and review?

hey, trying to keep a long story short. i moved out last year in march into my own little place (thank god) and that’s been the best step of my life so far. she’s receiving children’s money (idk what to call it) from the state, as all families do, 250 eur, or about 270 usd. now that i’m moved out i’m entitled to it myself, but she still gets it sent to her account. she has mostly managed to send it to me on time every month, but there are 3 payments missing in total, which i’ve explained to her very clearly and in a neutral tone.
she first denied 2 of those payments altogether and claims they had never been sent to her (without any proof of course), because she is never at fault for anything, then tried to spin it into saying that i am the one lying, dismissed the facts at hand, claims i was lazy and should’ve managed all of that on my own much earlier (just months ago she told me she wanted me NOT involve the state to try and get rid of her as a middleman) and is now throwing a fit claiming she’s going to send any future payments back to the state. ended it all in a long sob story text about how she’s always tried her best to please me i’m just ungrateful and poor her, she has bigger issues to care about, list goes on. i’m just so fucking tired of her. does she not feel embarrassed?
mainly looking for support. i just wanted to go NC entirely but when it comes to that and student aid i’m still reliant on her for some form or another… i’ll probably find a way to receive the remaining payments, but this is so much added unnecessary stress. does it ever get better? 😢

I just wanted to get this off my chest.
I have an internet friend that I 'met' years ago through an online original character tournament. We both clicked with each other and were invested in the other's characters so we stayed in touch even after it ended.
Both of us suffer from depression, theirs being a bit worse and combined with PTSD. They are very much open and loud with their condition to the point where they tend to lash out at others. I on the other hand have been far more quiet about my condition. My empathy with others pain causes me to keep my own problems to myself for fear that they will burden others.
I also try my best to be there for others and try and support them or just hear them out if they need it. Granted there's only so much one can do for an internet friend from a different country.
I try to be very understanding towards triggers and will be very mindful about doing or saying things to those I know it will upset. I have the mindset that just because something doesn't seem like a big deal to me doesn't mean its not a big deal to someone else, and I never want to make someones feelings seem stupid or invalid.
In the past I have had to change jobs frequently because of my mental health and it's put me in many difficult situations. Only about last year have I been fortunate enough to find a medication that works. My mental health did a 180 and I got a job I like and feel confident in. My friend hasn't been that lucky, and their condition has only gotten worse.
With all that out of the way, here's where things go down...
My friend asked if I wanted to start a role play with them using our favorite OCs. I happily agreed and we started making up stories and scenarios for our characters to play out together. And it was fun. At first.
Eventually my friend started lashing out at me and pointing out things that were triggering them, things that I hadn't realized were bothering them for well over a year. The main example was the flight response that my characters had to a lot of the traumatic scenarios we put them in. (Running away as they put it) I apologized numerous times and told them if I had known they were so bothered by it I would have tried having my characters react in less triggering ways for them and I would be more mindful in the future. After all, we were doing this for fun and it wouldn't be hard because my characters were already developed out of that response before they even brought any of this up.
I thought that would be that, but as they started realizing how open and accepting I was to try and understand and work with them, they seemed to start taking advantage of it.
They started pointing out more mundane and minor things, like spelling errors or things that maybe I had forgotten in the two years we were doing the story. It was fine at first and I shrugged it off, but then they started making passive aggressive comments about my characters, and then got offended when I tried to offer my perspective or an explanation as to why they would react a certain way.
They would make jabs at my use of conveying body language (Point out I was having a character look down to convey thought "too often") or they would get annoyed by me using certain words too much (mulled as an example) They would get triggered at me conveying my characters reacting realistically to things, but then confused and critical if I tried the opposite approach and have them react in a funny matter in an attempt to make it less triggering.
I also started noticing that it seemed to be ok for their characters to portray toxic behaviors (such as telling one of my characters to go kill themselves) Usually my characters would try and work things out and forgive them, but if mine did anything to defend against this or did anything 'out of line' but tried to apologize and make up for it, they were left to feel guilty and distraught and raked over the coals.
My friend would lash out at me over things that had been ok for a long time but suddenly now bothered them, and their blow ups would always come out of left field for me. They even admitted that things that they were lashing out at me for were things that had been fine at the time they happened. They would always say they felt bad afterwards and hadn't said anything because they didn't want to come off as dramatic or a brat. I assured them on multiple occasions that I would have much rather temporarily and fleetingly thought that that realize later that I was hurting them without even realizing it. (One of the things that they would be fine with one moment and then triggered by the next due to their past experiences was happy family themes, which we both used frequently)
They would then ask if we could take a break for a while which was always fine and then delete those conversations so they wouldn't get re-triggered whenever they would go back to reread parts of the roleplay later and I was always ok with that.
I always tried to be mindful, and they always seemed to appreciate my efforts, but soon it seemed to devolve into them just constantly pointing out mistakes and nit picking any spelling error I made or minor detail I forgot, or pointing out things I would have had no way of possibly knowing.
There were also times where I would try to share say a meme or something with them that would remind me of their characters and thought they would find funny, but all they would do was point out the 'problems' with how well the joke fit. (ie I would send a meme around people texting and they would just point out that it falls flat because one of their characters doesn't have a phone.)
They would then get annoyed and a bit demeaning if any of their jokes fell flat with me, like why do they bother trying to be funny or lighthearted if it only causes confusion or doesn't necessarily make me laugh.
I was starting to feel like I was constantly walking on eggshells around them to the point where I finally asked them to tone down on the constant criticism. They agreed and I thought that would be that.
But it didn't stop.
If anything it got worse. Anything I made a mistake on or minor details I forgot were continuously shoved in my face, and my anxiety was starting to come back. The more anxious I got around making mistakes, the more mistakes I would make and the more it would get shoved in my face.
On a particularly bad night I finally had enough and asked if we could stop for the rest of the night so I could cool off. When they asked why I told them it was because I was tired of the constant nit picking and just needed a night away from it to cool down.
And they just went completely off the rails.
They accused me of accusing them things they didn't do and started going off on how they were just trying to help me and that I was being dramatic and making a mountain out of a mole hill, but no one ever saw the good in them and only ever viewed them as a monster.
And before I could type any kind of response or even process what was going on they started expressing that they were going to commit suicide and that they had been fantasizing about it for a long time anyways.
I panicked.
I didn't know if I had minutes or seconds or if any of my messages would even be seen in time. I started begging them not to go through with it. They pushed back asking why it would matter if they did and I snapped asking why they thought I would just be ok with my best friend killing themselves, and feeling like I pushed them to do it just because I got upset over something stupid.
Eventually it deescalated and they seemed to have snapped out of it, but I was left hysterical and unable to get any rest. My depression came back full swing and I basically turned back into a walking zombie. But despite all that, I still wanted to forgive them.
A couple days later they chewed me out for how I talked them out of it. They said they felt guilted out of it, and that their feelings weren't valid, and that it seemed like they had no right to feel that way. And if I hadn't apologized to them they were going to tell me a month later that we weren't friends anymore. They didn't think I acted professionally despite being a complete emotional mess and that I was being selfish.
I just... felt so hurt and angry and betrayed. All the things I had tried to do to be considerate towards them. All the times they had hurt me and I had forgiven them. All the things I had done to try and help and support them were almost made completely meaningless by one heat of the moment outburst.
I was made to feel stupid.
I was made to feel disposable.
I was made to feel like the bad guy.
And I don't feel like I could ever be open or honest with them again.
But at the same time... I'm just terrified that if I express any of this when they do come back that they'll just spiral again... And I'm not sure what to do. Ive forgiven them but... Im not sure if I can consider them a friend anymore... Or even tell them I feel that way...

7 month relationship. Not long, but I gotta say he was probably one of my greatest loves. I’d say it was mutual but at the same time he struggled with honesty around his party lifestyle. We broke up two weeks ago so it’s of course super fresh. I had him blocked briefly because I’d tried to end it a couple times before actually pulling the plug and he would blow up my phone and I’d cave. After almost 2 weeks I thought the storm would have calmed and decided to unblock him, thinking if he reached out I would be able to neutralize the breakup instead of leaving it heated like I did.
The day after unblocking, I see a missed call from him. I texted him the next day saying i saw the missed call but wasn’t sure if it was an accident. he said “yes i called”. i asked what was up and he acted like I was now bothering him. Still, he told me how he got a new job and i was able to tell him i was happy for him. He left me on read but that felt better than before.
Yesterday (5 days later) I saw he was calling again. I was having a really hard day and decided whatever, I’m just gonna call him back. So I did maybe 10 mins later and he said “that was an accident. i meant to call someone else.” I mean, fine if that’s the case but I know he’s on the phone a lot so i doubt his last call to me was anywhere at the top of his list. And if i accidentally called him or anyone else, I would text to say “sorry, accident”. He just… waited?
I just feel like he’s messing with me but I also don’t get the point. It’s not like he uses these opportunities to talk well. was hoping we could be neutral and not hate each other… Naive?
Anyway, what’s with his calls?

i (23f) have been worried about my (42f) mother. my parents have been together on & off for 24 years, honestly growing up was fine, i didn’t see any problems at the time but i was way too young to notice. until around i was in 3rd grade, my parents hosted a party & i vividly remember my parents were going back & forth, while my dad was leaving the front door, literally not even a second later he closed the door my mom threw a wine glass at the door, could’ve easily hit him.
from then on, it progressively got worse throughout the years, especially teen to now. i was 13 - 14, my parents would buy a case of 24 cools light, modelo, vodka, scotch, and just watch movies and hangout, my dad he’s a daily drinker, but what i’ve noticed between both my mom/dad is my dad can drink at a responsible rate and can stop himself any time, doesn’t get plastered pretty much. mom on the other hand cannot, she will drink & drink, play music out loud, very loud, many times were they would argue about something & it escalates fast, it was extremely hard at the time watching my dad dragged my mom from their room to the living room by her feet, and she would be screaming out for me “CALL THE POLICE! YOUR DAD IS HURTING ME! CALL THEM NOW” with my younger brother next to me hugging me, crying that he’s so scared. i felt so awful. my mom would end up calling and when police come they leave, not really sure what my parents said but they left so i guess the rest of the night eased. it would be like this almost every other week. one night i woke up, was thirsty & went to the kitchen, when i turned the corner i saw my mom in the dark just holding a knife, she told me how she was trying to cut, but she couldn’t. i honestly didn’t even know what to say at the time i was so afraid. fast forward from 2014-2017/18 was just awful. my dad had an affair with a coworker, how i know this? my mom woke me up at 4am on a school night to show me the messages between my dad & the woman, she logged into his messenger pretty much. telling me “look! look what your dad is doing!!” and i would just lay there, scroll through the texts, all i could say was im really sorry.. she would sit in our room for a while and leave eventually continuing drinking. my dad moved out of our home for a few months but those months felt like years. i hardly ever saw him, he would come visit at night while my brother & i are asleep. the times he didn’t visit during the day, my mom was drinking, for hours she wouldn’t stop, the loud music everyday. especially on school nights id barely get any rest. my parents got back together around 2019 it’s so sad, being 23 now & still seeing my mom not change, she’s promised so much to me she’d stop, go to groups, seek help, but the next week she’ll do it all again.. the times i’ve caught her passed out on the bathroom floor with a knife next to her, frightens me extremely.. my brother & i tell my dad to stop buying alcohol for a while, all he says is “i know” idk if he’s enabling it, but it’s annoying that they still argue and fight about if he’s cheating on her again. mom saying she doesn’t care, she “doesn’t give a fuck” about what anyone says, doesn’t matter how much i tell her it hurts me seeing her like this, i don’t want to lose her.. i love her, i just don’t know what to do anymore, it makes me angry that she lied to her job that she broke her hip and needed to go out of state for surgery, lied to my dad about how she’s not getting hours. she’s been in and out so many jobs.. i’ve noticed as soon she gets her first check she spends it all on alcohol, and quits her job due to not showing up..im not ok. i miss my mom. i cried to her a couple weeks ago, hugged her tight just sobbing i don’t want to lose you please don’t go.. she kept reassuring me that it’s going to be ok.. will it ever be okay?.

So 10 days ago I purchased a 2020 hyuandai kona ev with a bumper to bumper warranty. After I got home with the car I was looking over the documents that the dealer sent me and I was looking over the warranty documents. What I found alarmed me as when I looked through the warranty fine print I noticed that there is nothing in there about electric vehicles. Two days ago I went back to the dealership and notified them of this, at which point they upgraded me from the gold tier of the warranty to the platinum tier.
I just got the updated warranty documents from the dealer and I am still concerned because it is the exact same warranty contract just with a checkbox on platinum instead of gold. The platinum coverage is better obviously but still there is nothing in the warranty docs about electric vehicles or electric vehicle specific components. Is the statement below for platinum coverage enough to guarantee that the EV specific parts are covered?

Ok, friends. This will be a tough one as it doesnt even come up on Google Crawls or the MMORPG cancelled list (dispite being a cancelled MMORPG that was published briefly i think 1 or 2 months before shut down after our beta was over and the game was set to launch, which did not happen in a sustainable way, apparently - because it doesn't exist on the Atlus Wikipedia. I think the disambiguation that needs to be made is that ANOTHER company made the (JP or KR) games that were then localized by "Atlus Online NA" even though I remember us having a lot of BR players or Portuguese speaking individuals. FTR did not bother me at all as I learned a few fun words that way :D
Atlus published/localized 3 games on it's NA or Western company i'm speaking of for I want to say a two maybe three year period.
The first release was a game called Neo Steam: Shattered Continent, which was fun and did relatively well at first. The second released localization was some sort of "Dancing/Social/Music" "social/casual" game that was not at all interesting. Their final game (THE ONE IM DESPERATELY TRYING TO REMEMBER AND THAT EXISTS NOWHERE) even though Neosteam is referenced on Youtube/Google/MMO sites that keep the library of dead games.
The game to which I cannot remember a name Was a 3D J or K MMORPG that was extremely difficult (almost unforgiving) with anime stylized graphics and was well optimized. Atlus did not make this game but just (attempted) to localize it. "Jack Frost" I.P. was present on the website news, launch screens - but again this was the only element of the game where Atlus was "incorporating" their own IP
New players in (unknown) start in an insanely difficult area at level 1 with no real equipment. You basically can only progress thru the game by choosing to walk through a relatively large map filled with creatures that were many times more powerful, and the incentive/reason it was like this was so that players of either faction who were leveled/geared enough would assist new players (usually their friends) and usheliterally carry us to their respective faction (there were two factions) IMO this was really cool and a throwback to the days of Ultima etc. but it was and by today's standards would be cancel worthy. They were trying to foster a sense of "identifying" with the individuals who went out of their way to help you navigate from the original spawn to your respective capitol over a good 10 to 20m journey of dodging monsters and snaking your way to town where you could then safely logon and teleport. I am only describing this gimmick as I think its one of the few bizarre and unique things that might help another person remember trying or playing this game.
If someone was not patient or reading the guide (that tried to acquint you with world chat option so that a person could traverse and help induct you into either faction) the game would obviously feel/seem very troll or just completely broken. there's no way it would fly with your standard gamer nowadays (or apparently back then) The few hundred of us that played likened the game to Priston Tale in terms of aesthetic but it was not either of the PT games or developers. others likened it to dark-souls/ultima in terms of just being very difficult learning curve and that you could get easily killed by a large mob that would pass thru areas meant for very low level players, meaning you could not solo and would always need at least two or three others to venture out.
the main grind area I specifically remember involved killing snakes in the first grindy area and this required an individual to go invisible and lay traps, a person to aggro/bait the enemy over those traps, a healther to keep topping the individual pulling the mobs (almost always one at a time bc they scored crits/insta kills very eaSY) and of course some people to jump in and whack the mob with whatever range ormelle weapons they had to finish the already debuffed and partially chiseled away health, resulting in a huge success and experience boost, or most dying. This made it so that two independent 5-6m parties would have to work in groups of 12 taking turns pulling to their respective sides of the spawn area, bc otherwise the 2nd or 3rd snake that another party did not rotate pulling in tandem would assuredly kill the single party of 6. It was ideal to have 3 separate parties all pulling mobs from the same area - in order to protect the others from being overwhelmed and their own party quickly becoming the victim as these monsters were too strong to fend off in groups.
Sooo...... the game went on i think 3-4 months in beta, it launched and did horribly (i think it was going to be a monthly sub model with extra premium shop model the way NeoSteam was) and I think maybe lasted several months out of beta before being shutdown because the company had managed all 3 of their localizations very poorly and got no traction bc they did not exert any effort in advertising recruiting or retaining player base. You could probably blame this on funding or lack of communication from the original dev to the NA/West Atlus subsidary which is why Neosteam TSC and whatever goofy rhythm game they launched and the entire company dissolved.

I used to be a pretty avid card collector, but I gave it up when the whole industry got out of hand with chase cards, overprinted sets, etc. But I was intrigued by the Parkside set. I always thought a racing set could be really cool, and these seemed to have some promise. So I ponied up for a box, which was around $100. Here are all the variations of cards:

• Driver and Driver's Car, Teams (these obviously make sense)
• IndyNxt (only 10)
• Drivers at: racetracks, races, Indy qualifying row, "Marquee Moments" (not sure if these are chase cards, but they seem to be part of the base) 72 of those, BTW, race events, Pit pass
• Helmet hardware, iconic images, podiums

I believe these are the chase cards:

• Signatures
• Exclusive signatures (limited to 10)
• Americana (Palou)
• Relics (3) - oversized card
• Redemptions (4) for real-life items.

There are "parallels" of the Signatures and NXT cards (colored variations)
The Good

• It's always fun opening up packs
• The signature cards are easily the best part of the set. I pulled a Herta and an Ericsson.
• The "Americana" Palou minicard (which I also got) is kind of neat. It's a shame there's only the one driver.

The Bad

• There are way too many cards and card variations. Part of the joy of collecting is assembling a set - not just for the sake of completion, but for the satisfaction of having a well-designed, intriguing set that sparks joy. I'm just dismayed at how much junk is in this set -- so much feels like filler. It's not that a 300+ set is unheard of, but unlike the big 4, there aren't as many athletes, so Parkside tried to come up with various ways to add cards. There are just too many cards I don't care about or that seem stupid. I'm surprised we don't have team owners, strategists, etc. I would have rather had a smaller, high quality set like the early Upper Deck sets.
• The printing quality is sub-par. It may be hard to tell from the photos, but these cards look and feel cheap. When you see them online, you are probably seeing exports of the digital files. Between that and the printing, something was lost.
• The "foil" cards are the worst. They are hard to see and dull. Some of them are almost too dark to see any detail at all.
• Some of the chosen photography - especially on the cars - is terrible. Blurred or out-of-focus images or just bad shots. Part of this might be the printing, but it's also on the card design and the photos chosen. If you are going to give me a card with one of the cars, the car need to be BIG in the frame to make it work. Some of them are, but too many are not.
• The pit pass cards are some kind of an attempt at fun, but they are kind of meh.
• To get full stats on a driver, you have to scan the code on the back and go digital. Just feels weird. The point of sports cards is to consume the info on the card, not online.

Obviously these are personal reactions by me and opinions may vary. I had originally thought I would buy a few boxes and try to assemble a set. But I'm honestly so put off, I think I'm going to sell the signature/Americana cards to try and recoup my investment and call it a day.
I'd be interested to hear what others who bought cards think. Maybe my expectations were too high.
