Creative ways to give tickets

I’m posting to hear opinions of couples who are happy with their MC and can honestly say it helped them to navigate the R after infidelity. BH experience is most welcome but if you’re a BW or Wayward, go right ahead too.

We’ve been going to this particular MC for over a month now (5-ish sessions) and the therapist seems nice and definitely has the tools to help marriages, I’m just not sure she’s equipped to deal with infidelity.
Today we’ve had a particularly difficult session. I was explaining how I’m trying to improve as a husband and partner but dealing with what my trauma eats up eats a lot of the daily energy quota. And that at some point, my wife needs to be patient and caring with me, not distant – because acting distant out of her fear makes my journey longer and more painful.
Towards the end of the session I was met with a sentence that kind of shook me… therapist said that I might be focusing too much on my trauma – that the relationship is here and now, and trauma is in the past. That my quote of 2-5 years of getting out of trauma might be looking in the wrong direction.

Note: DD1 was in August where I found her affair. DD2 was 2.5 months ago – this was the final admission by my WW with all the details and past affairs (yes, plural). I’m thinking this is way too early to expect me to be in complete control over trauma, no?

We’ve had issues as a couple for many years, then the main A happened, then more information about WW surfaced, and now we have a fraction of original issues as a couple + new ones + lots of appreciation and love for each other. I think it’s easy to be caught in the immediate emotional reaction to a statement like the one above. But can this be actually true?
I personally think MC is kind of… easy (?) if you don’t have infidelity trauma – there are books just out there with so many tools and exercises just ready to be read and implemented.
What makes our situation hard is that I see all the fucking wisdom and knowledge in those books and would love to just apply it to my relationship but my trauma and lack of trust makes it this whole other level of painful and difficult. I think that’s the challenge in MC – we’re not a typical "husband and wife seeking counseling" situation, am I getting this right?
Should I expect MC to not pretend those sessions are just about the communication, the respect and trust, and tackle the issue of infidelity trauma and its effect on our relationship? How would this work, can you give me examples of the difference between normal MC and the one where therapist doesn’t lessen Betrayed’s trauma?
I’m not even mad, I’m just curious if this forum, the books and their USA-centric roots made me too optimistic that MC in Europe can behave in a similar fashion. Am I expecting too much?

I've noticed a lot of posts about the 32 EDH / commander deck challenge recently, so I thought I would give some advice for those starting or are already on their journey from someone who has completed it.
I recently posted in my LGS's discord for someone who asked a similar question, so I thought I would share it here.
For context, I have been playing magic consistently since about M12 (2011) and playing commander since about Dark Ascension (2012).

1. Developing your land bases is an important step based on your budget. If you know you're going to make one of every colour, your colour fixing will be very similar for all of them. It's also the most expensive part depending; and now is a good time. After MH3, all 10 fetches will be the cheapest in a while, shocks have had recent reprints, etc. During my process over the years making them, I've changed deck themes so often, so it helps to have ready to go.
   • This can include having a stack of cheaper staples like Sol Rings and Arcane Signets.
2. As for deck choices, I found picking a challenge is a creative and fun way then just make XYZ good stuff. For instance using companion for the restriction, no rares, style of art/theme, intentionally bad commander, pet card tribal, etc.
3. Wait a while (two sets or so) for a popular commander to leave the zeitgeist so it's staples don't hold the inflated price from hype. You don't have to be the first person to have a new Obeka deck at FNM for it to function the same months later.
4. Try sticking to only have one colour combo at a time. It's cool to have a style you jive with, but branching out of the same same is also a process for this. You have to like what you play, and remember that colours are more diverse than ever. Hate counter spells and control? Blue has artifacts galore. Hate artifacts too? Try merfolk or illusion or kraken tribal.
   • This is much easier if you have a land base developed.
5. Diversify. Having seven artifact decks gets old fast (trust me). Not all your decks can be your favourite, but variety is the spice of life. It allows for more options on any given day. It also lets other people try out different strategies when lending them your decks.
6. To help with the previous point it's super easy to add a colour or two to an existing deck in order to keep the spirit of another one. I.e. I love a new Dimir (UB) commander, but I can't bare to break up my artifact deck, so I'll add white and make it Esper (WUB). Knock down another colour combo AND get your new hottness. Get two birds stoned at once. Decks evolve as time goes on and more cool cards are added to the pool, so shifting colours is normal.
7. Work with what you have. It's a cost effective, fun, and creative way rather than net-decking the best EDHrec version of a deck. I find this also gets at the spirit of casual magic.
8. If you don't have a base collection to work with; precons are a great start for newer players and buy only the singles you need.
   • Cracking packs is fun and all that, and if you must, limit yourself to limited environments (drafts, pack wars or sealed with a friend, etc.).
9. Don't rush. Enjoy the journey. There will always be new cards if you don't love your current options for a specific colour combination.

I hope these few pieces of advice help people on their journeys to completing your decks!

Me and my husband got back a week or so ago from a 5 night sailing on the Apex and I wanted to give a review of our experiences and time. First off staring at boarding we were on the ship in about 15 mins with no real waiting, we had a boarding time of 1:30 but arrived at 12:30 and we brought right on. We were worried they were going to have us wait. It was smooth and quick we were shocked. Next our room, we were on deck 12 and had a infinite view veranda, there was so much room to store our stuff and we were super happy with how modern and well designed the room was. We knew some people hated this room but we loved having that window open all the time it made the room feel huge. We were shocked with how nice and how often our state room attendant came it made us feel very attended to. The one bad thing was the "snack/appetizer" they gave us each night it was never offensive but we never really ate it as it was often sad. Now on to the food, every meal was great we loved Normandy it was by far our favorite, the food, the service and the drink pairings were always on point, the buffet was always stocked with great foods and we got to try so many fun and new things. Next the drinks we did get the premium drinks package and would recommend it as we got did not have to worry about single drink on the trip from fancy waters to martinis, it was the highlight of the trip! Next the ship, the ship was amazing there were so many great places to lounge around read a book or just enjoy some sun. We did find our self's at the back of the ship at the sunset bar all the time as it was never super busy but had the best view next to Eden, which was a very close second favorite, there was so much room and cool spaces to sit. I cannot recommend the Edge class enough it was only my first cruise and don't know how im going to go on another. The final thing i want to talk about is the one bad part of the whole trip and that was the people. Our neighbors were getting married and had a party in there room every night from 1 am to 4am and woke us up every night, and I mean every night. The second part of this was the buffet as we were cut in line every day by lets say a older crowd, more so on shrimp day and they were very rude about it. Lastly the pool hogs every day almost all the pool deck seat were taken all day, but i can look past this as we ended up day drinking all day by the sunset bar as it was way easier to get drinks. Over all this was a 8 out 10 for us. So much good and the only real bad parts weren't even the cruise lines fault but individuals. Its going to be very tough for us to go on a lesser cruise.

Well, Clefable's votes were unsurprising. The vast majority of voters voted for Gen 6 OU, where Clefable first achieved Peak Clefable - although there were some people noting that it was arguably even more dominant in pre-home Gen 8 OU, where the limited metagame was incredibly kind to it. Clefable has joined Landorus-T in the Forever OU Gang...although, we thought Tyranitar and Garchomp belonged there too, and look how that went.

Moving along, though, we move to Ninetales, the elegant fire fox, which in most cases is a superior browser to Chrome. Aside its design, in most of its early history it was a fairly unremarkable Fire-type special attacker in a universe with many, many, many of those. In Generation 5, however, things began to change for it...

So let's get to it. The metagames in question:

Gen 1 UU: You'd think that Ninetales is solidly outclassed by Moltres in a tier that includes Moltres, with no abilities existing to help Ninetales along, and it seems that for a while, this was considered to be the case. However, the current VR tells a different story, with Moltres having fallen off an absolute cliff to the point where it's now tiered in NU, while Ninetales sits much more comfortably as a lead. The reason? Articuno. In Generation 1, Fire doesn't resist Ice, so Moltres (and Charizard)'s weakness to Ice makes their matchups with Articuno awful - and Moltres is the same speed as Articuno, too, making it even worse. Ninetales is faster than Articuno, threatens it with powerful Fire Blasts that have a solid chance to Burn and cripple physical attackers like Dragonite, and can use Body Slam to fish for paralysis on switch-ins. Dodrio moving up also helps, as it CANNOT switch into Ninetales at all. It's got a solid place in the lead metagame due to its truly bad matchup, Tentacruel, being a way too valuable mon to use as a lead (especially when Kadabra exists) and, even though it still has flaws, it really has enough going for it for the VR to place Ninetales in B- rank.

Gen 2 NU: I don't know why Game Freak decided to look at Ninetales and thought 'this thing needs to be nerfed', bringing its Special Attack down from 100 to 80, but they did, and Ninetales is forever cursing the day this happened, dropping it into GSC NU. However, it's a decent mon there. Its high special bulk lets it take on Xatu, Magmar, and Weezing very well while threatening Weezing especially back with Flamethrower (preferred over Fire Blast due to Ninetales's more defensive role), and access to Sunny Day allows it to gain some power back despite the nerf. It also gets Roar to take advantage of Pineco's Spikes, and its defensive profile with limited coverage gives it solid case as a RestTalker. There's just one problem - one of the best Pokemon in the tier is Water-type Octillery, and Dewgong is a solid threat too. Ninetales can't make any real progress against Octillery, and being so hard countered by one of NU's best mons is tough for it. Still, the VR places Ninetales in B+ rank, a very respectable showing.

Gen 3 UU: And due to the addition of the new great Status-inducing Will-o-Wisp, Ninetales got moved back up to UU in ADV!! Where it's...kind of terrible. Unfortunately for Ninetales, in the most recent tier shift, Arcanine entered the tier. Arcanine completely outclasses Ninetales in almost every way, and has the great ability Intimidate, AND higher Special Attack! There is, quite honestly, literally no reason to use Ninetales in the current Gen 3 UU, unless you REALLY want a Fire-type Will-o-Wisp user. The current VR places Ninetales in C- rank, barely above completely useless. Gen 3 UU will be excluded from the poll.

Gen 4 NU: They decided to throw Ninetales a bit of a bone this generation, giving it access to an actual coverage move in Energy Ball and a powerful setup move in Nasty Plot. What's more, its ability in Flash Fire allows it to switch into expected Fire-type attacks from mons like Charizard and threaten them back with boosted moves - and DPP NU is a tier with a number of strong Fire-types! It can also effectively run Choice Specs, or Hypnosis to nail pokemon on the switch. That said, it's stuck using the mediocre Hidden Power Rock to hit opposing Fire-types, and other Flash Fire mons like Houndoom can exploit it quite well. Bulky Waters that don't take too much from Energy Ball, too, can deal with it, especially Mantine. Overall, it's solid, if not amazing, with the VR placing Ninetales in B rank.

Gen 5 OU: It's time for Ninetales's big moment in the sun (ha ha.). As the only non-legendary in Generation 5 with the ability Drought, Ninetales is absolutely essential on Sun teams. That sounds great, yes, but...First off, Sun's big tools against Rain and Sand used to be its powerful Grass-type Chlorophyll mons, specifically Venusaur. That's banned, now, and while Rain and Sand were able to get along without their Swift Swim and Sand Rush, Sun was absolutely crippled. As Ninetales is useless on non-Sun teams, its ability to work is shaky at best, and its weakness to Stealth Rock makes it even harder to use. Unfortunately for Ninetales, its big moment of the sun was before the weather speed abilities ban, and it's just not good enough anymore. The VR places Ninetales in C rank. As unfortunate as it is, I have to exclude Ninetales's sole OU placement from the VR.

Gen 6 PU: And to add insult to injury, Ninetales no longer has exclusive access to Drought, with Torkoal being considered a better Sun setter in most cases, forcing it to lower tiers. These lower tiers have Drought banned, forcing it to the inferior Flash Fire. Gen 6 saw Ninetales fall all the way down to PU, where it's, as is often the case for Ninetales, okay if nothing flashy. Its Nasty Plot and Fire Blast are as strong as ever, which in the era of power creep and Mega Evolution, lands it in a solid niche in a low, low tier. It's still decent (although earlier on in the gen it was considered the premier fire type of ORAS PU), with its ability to force out some mons, however there are just faster mons in lower tiers now, meaning there is plenty that revenges it, like Floatzel, Ursaring, and Simipour. That said, however, Ninetales can absolutely demolish Quagsire with its interesting coverage option in Energy Ball, allowing it to setup break stall without getting walled by Quagsire - a very powerful niche! While Ninetales might struggle against fast frail Water-types, against slower bulkier mons, Ninetales is very much in its element! The VR currently places Ninetales in B rank.

Gen 7 RU: In a nice turn of events, Ninetales is able to end up in a tier where it doesn't have to compete with Torkoal, but Sun is legal. Nasty Plot and Choice Specs remain solid options with its high power, and having the ability to actually use Solar Beam means that Water-types are no longer a huge issue for it, especially slow bulky ones. The addition of Z-crystals is a major positive for a setup mon like Ninetales, as +2 Inferno Overdrive in Sun will obliterate most things that aren't Snorlax or enemy Flash Fire users. What's more, Virizion and Metagross are two of the best mons in the metagame, and Ninetales loves that - even if Salazzle gives it a bit of pause. While it still has its issues of being a bit frail, and being weak to Stealth Rocks, and letting in certain walls like Goodra and Snorlax pretty easily, it's still a very good mon for aggressive or balanced teams when it can come in. The VR places Ninetales in A rank.

Gen 8 ZU: Unfortunately, Ninetales is dropped from the the Drought-legal tiers again, and forced back into its inferior ability. It still has some solid play here, with its ability as a Nasty Plot sweeper being especially threatening in such a low power tier, but it has competition in fellow Gen 1 fire type Rapidash, whose physical ability and Play Rough access to threaten Dragon-types like Altaria gives it purchase. It's still decent enough, but it's a bit of a matchup fish (in part because people tend to prepare more for Rapidash, sometimes ending up with teams that are weak to Ninetales, as they are very different counterplay despite both being faster Fire Types.). The VR currently places Ninetales in B- rank.

My story is a bit long so bare w me, I met a girl through a mutual friend at an event we talked and exchanged ig accounts, I honestly thought she was just being nice cause she’s too cute and way out of my league, I didnt give it much thought at the time, a few days later she hit me up and we talked for a little, I also didnt give it much thought, and she texted me again saying why I didnt text her, I told her I was busy (in reality i was still not sure) anyways we hit it off quite well and we talked almost daily for hours, but the thing is after that i was always texting her first and she would reply the next day really coldly, ik shes a busy person with her work and I tried to respect that and give her the space she needed, but that kept happening, naturally I assumed she lost interest (even though the last time we had an actual conversation she kept throwing hints abt how she wants a real commitment which i was ready for and actually responded positively to), anyways I left her for a few days but she texted me asking why I dont text her, I told her I was traveling (I really was) and that was it, then I changed my pfp, and after that by like an hour or so she sent me a message saying how I look gd in the photo etc.. (so ik shes either looking me up or opening her dms cause i dont post stories) Its been like 8 days since we last talked and honestly I lost interest in her, my question is that why did it happen? Was she just seeking attention? I genuinely can’t understand women.

He uses the disturbing imagery and sound/lyrics in a creative way but not an edgy and obnoxious way. They almost feel like horror movies in the form of an album. And I’m not sure if this is the right term but it almost feels “industrial” - I like that.
I like Cannibal Corpse (specifically Tomb of the Mutilated and The Bleeding) but I’m not looking for death metal. I bring this up to clarify that it doesn’t have to be super brutal and descriptive in its lyricism, just very off putting in the same way Marilyn Manson might be. Creepy, industrial rock, and sounds really good. That’s what I want.
Since I said horror movie adjacent, I should also clarify I have no interest in Ice Nine Kills. I’ve seen them live twice as opening acts and they’re okay. Not what I’m looking for though.
Looking for music like this must make me look extremely edgy. I promise I’m not.

Hi everyone!
👀 I had already written a post to share with you my long-term detox method. I've been applying it for 4 months now, and it's quite incredible. I'm writing this message to give you feedback. Yes, I "succumbed to temptation" a few times, for example, to quickly make bank transfers, or to reply to some messages while comfortably seated on my couch. But those times were few, and I quickly realized that they were exceptional, so I would quickly put the phone back in the hallway of my apartment afterward. It's like take off your shoes or coat before entering home. 📌 Most of the time, I stick to what I've set up, and the well-being that comes from it is beyond what I hoped for. I come home from work and I'm at home, without distractions. I've even gotten into the habit of not immediately turning on my computer. I clean, exercise, listen to a record, meditate, write, read, and as a last resort, I turn on the computer (which can happen, it's a tool after all, and I really do need it often to watch a movie, listen to music, or take care of administrative tasks, make purchases, etc.). ♾️ Yesterday, I came home and I was like "transported" by the silence. Knowing that my phone is out of reach calms me. My overall anxiety has greatly decreased. Knowing that no one can disturb me. I took my e-reader and read for an hour sitting on a chair with the sound of the rain outside, fully in the moment, instead of wasting time on YouTube videos or Instagram feeds that I don't care about. It was magical, a moment for myself, to settle down, to refocus, a real "90's feeling". I also do this a lot during solitary walks without my phone (or in airplane mode at the bottom of my bag). As it turns out, the solution exists, it's within reach. Disconnecting. I still have progress to make on YouTube videos and using my computer, but I already feel much better. More present, in reality. 👉 As a reminder, my phone is in grayscale, I have TouchID on most apps to slow myself down, Apple's screen time feature, and ScreenZen on top of that. I removed Instagram, I just have Tumblr and Pinterest on it, in terms of social networks, and Signal/Whatsapp.
Maybe it's because I work all day long on a computer at work, but unless it's for write or watching movies, I really feel that screens (and not only computers) are toxic in a lot of ways. They suck our energy, focus, desire. It's awful. I hope this message motivates some of you to try my method and above all, to free yourselves from this digital life that isn't worth it.

Hi all! My partner and I are looking at a potential trip to Tokyo in the summer of 2025. For me, as an avid theme park goer, one of the main reasons to travel so far (from Boston, US area) is to see Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, which look awesome! However, trying to price out the trip on the Tokyo Disney website seems to be somewhat problematic.
First, I looked at room/ticket packages, but it looks like you can only book 2 nights, when I liked to spend more time - maybe 3-4 nights. It also looks like they tell you how you need to divide your trip: Day 1 is Disneyland, Day 2 is Fantasy Springs, and Day 3 is DisneySea. Ideally, I would want two days at Disneyland Park.
I also looked at hotel-only reservations, but couldn’t get a good idea of summer pricing because everything was sold out already for 2024. It also looks like you can only buy single day park tickets without a package.
So, some questions for y’all:

1. Is there any way to book a trip, staying at a Disney hotel, that would last 3-4 nights with 4 days of theme park tickets? I feel like I need at least two days in Disneyland. I’s also want guaranteed entry to Fantasy Springs, if possible.
   
2. What sort of budget would you estimate for such a trip? Only including hotel and park tickets. I’d appreciate any figures from those who have been to Disney recently. Thanks so much!

Hi legaladvice. I'm in a bit of a pickle here, and there's absolutely no way I can afford a lawyer. In 2016 I got a ticket for DWLS. I paid part of the fine but never ended up paying the whole thing. Fast forward 8 years later and I've forgotten all about it. My license is valid, and I've never received any letters since the incident. A couple of weeks ago my car broke down. I called the non emergency line to have an officer come direct traffic until my tow truck arrived. When the cop arrived, he ran my license and informed me I have a warrant from 2016 for the DWLS. He informed me my license is valid and not suspended, so I won't be receiving a ticket that day but that he does need to bring me in.
Long story short, I went to jail, got booked, and was out on bail after waiting 6 hours for a sergeant to release me. I received court date, which is today. As far as I know, my bond amount was also the fine amount. What are the odds I'm going to jail today for this? I know if it had been taken care of 8 years ago it would be no big deal but I'm nervous that it's been so long. 8 years ago I was a kid only worried about where the next place was to get fucked up. Now I have a wife and a kid who depend on me and a good job that I can't lose. Any advice is greatly appreciated

Hey, all!
We have a 1.5 years-old boy who we started potty training very early, as soon as he was able to sit comfortably, he was around 6 months-old. We sort of guessed when he would go, right after sleep, after eating and so on. The first couple of months successes were pure luck and anticipation on our side, rather than him actually knowing what's going on. But by the time he was a 1 year-old he did his thing almost every time we put him on the potty, either number 1 or number 2, but rarely left an empty potty. At about 1 year, 3 months-old he started to tap his chest well he wants to go potty - there were actually full days with 0 accidents in the diaper! We were so close! That period was about 2 months.
Fast-forward to the past month. We have changed absolutely nothing about the routine we followed, but he simply doesn't say he wants to go anymore. He only informs us (the same way, with a tap on his chest) when he already did in the diaper. We would put him on the potty, sit with him for upwards of 30minutes, he would play, stand, come back, most of the times pee as well, but no pooping. Right after we put his diaper on and dress him up, he bloody poops himself! I haven't seen a poop in the potty for nearly 2 weeks and he used to go there at least twice a day religiously.
So, is this a phase? Are we doing something wrong? Will it pass or we should change something? I'm sure you'll think he's too young to understand what's going on, but I assure you this is not the case. He perfectly understands it, and as far as I can tell is doing it on purpose.
We're certainly not giving up or slowing down with the potty training, but every bit of advice would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. I forgot to mention that accidents only happen when we're at home. He hasn't pooped in the diaper while we're outside in forever, I think it last happened 6 months ago, because we were outside for too long. So he definitely knows how to contain himself.

I regret choosing him so much, but of course, they suck you in with the shpiel.
He is rude and dismissive, and because I am a young women selling, it comes across as misogynistic. I truly do not think he would communicate with a dad selling his family home in the same way. Or any other man.

I know it’s not misinterpretation of tone on email as when I’ve spoken to him on the phone he’s also been a total condescending dick. I think he believes me to be naive which I find so offensive as a fully grown adult with a good job and property experience.

I am on the verge of cancelling the whole sale out of spite - or contacting our buyer and apologising to them directly that he is making it so difficult. However, I had very little traction on the property (something I blame him for anyway) and am really desperate for the sale to go through.

As a chapter it is better than the previous one, there isn't that whole part with the multinational managed badly and in a rather childish way, just as there isn't the classic generic human villain. However, Wingard confirms that he does not have the slightest sense of the epic, he does not know how to give a mythology, a strength to the kaiju and the lore he creates. This is due to the timing that the director proves he really doesn't have, there's no breathing space, everything is fast, even the introduction of the Kaiju, including the new ones, has no emphasis, there's no intensity and in general there's a certain lack of eye, knowing how to construct iconic shots. Even when he tries, when he uses long shots showing the whole, the totality of the scenario or the moment from a glance, the final result is never memorable and not even Wingard himself seems to believe it as these moments are hyper fleeting. So the staging is standard, it's a film if the Russos or Col-Serra had directed it I don't think there would have been any differences and that's a bad thing. Skar King's entrance on the scene is too flat especially because we are talking about the main villain, I repeat, there is no visual power, just as there is no drama in the human section either. Jia's pivotal moment, for example, has no awareness, it has no narrative arc, he simply makes the gesture without the direction even building an expressive moment around it. The Iwi tribe is the same, you don't stop to understand how the tribe works, to explore it, to have some characters interact, everything is always fast. Personally I love the Showa era films so of course a Godzilla film doesn't have to be as serious as the recent Minus One, it plays a whole different league to Wingard's film, but the Showa films were the triumph of craftsmanship, Godzilla , the kaiju were deliberately funny, ironic, they were films for children, teenagers, who also gave worthy teachings, they had messages. The problem therefore is not Godzilla and Kong doing wrestling moves or Big G sleeping on the Colosseum, these things are fine and are fun moments of the film in Showa era style, the problem is that it is a bunch of CGI with a scene without actually visual flashes, clearly there are some better shots but overall it travels on the standard, with dynamics that then also deliberately go on the tamarro, which personally I always find it difficult to digest. For example, Mechagodzilla from '74 had a crazy plot and gimmicks, just like other films of the Showa era, where however the awakening of King Ceaser had its intensity, the direction took its time but like the other films of the it was Showa, the films were actually funny, here instead Wingard instills too much of the sensations of a super tamarra pumped up with CGI. Even in the Heisei era, there was still craftsmanship, but in addition to this, when it focused on emotions the films succeeded, Godzilla vs Biollante or Godzilla vs Destoroyah, they managed to trigger emotions, an aspect that Wingard instead always manages in a hasty and without actually even building it up too much. So a big toy all in CGI, without epic, without emphasis, without even who knows what visual and staging flashes, tastes too much like Marvel, and that's a bad thing. I love Godzilla very much, seeing him in films always makes me happy, seeing the clashes between the kaiju I always like but I really don't like Wingard's style. The references to the Showa era are fine, some moments are funny, but the film has that slightly tacky aftertaste, stuffed with CGI which clashes a bit with the spirit of the films Wingard wants to refer to

Our google ads have been the primary inbound for the past 3-4 years of running. We've always made little tweaks or had periods where the ads break.. Ive watched a few youtube videos and make a few changes and we go back to normal.
Since the beginning of March/April things have just died! ill give you an over-run of what campaings we're running:
1 Campain which has 4 ad groups Each ad-group setup around various phrase match and exact match keyphrases pointing to adverts with that exact terminology which then push the user to a landing page with that exact word. With 4 different keyphrases (maybe around 10 per adgroup) Compiled from our highest converting key phrases over the past 24 months with the highest bid, most of the time we're top of the page according to auction insights! (which contradicts the below!)
We have a second campaign which is our main one we have used for months setup the exact same way above, here are some points.
Campaign type - Search Campaign budget (across both ) - £60-£80 per day. Bid Type - Enhanced CPC (Manual set to qualify for the minimum bid) Tried conversions but got 0 impressions for some unknown reason ? Audience - Set to Professional Services Target only Schedule - We reduce it by 50% on a daily basis to keep the bids on the keywords down.
The prices of the clicks for some of the keywords which were around £5-6 a month ago are now £15-£20 which simply isn't viable for us but if this is why we arent getting the conversions then we'll have to see!
The problem we've always had is targeting B2B customers as we could get a domestic customer wanting to recycle a TV filling in our form, live chat or giving us a call and it costing us £25 for the enquiry. Currently we're getting around 20 clicks a day and maxing out budget with 0 leads or enquiries.

22F. So I used to have severely disordered eating (I was never fully underweight but was restricting food intake heavily and not eating for days/ lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time) this lasted from November 2022-July 2023 until my family noticed and got involved. I started eating more but still restricting to make 1/2-2/3 of how much I should’ve been eating. I finally let myself eat whatever I wanted, however much I wanted, etc in this past february/march.
Basically I’m hungry all the time for things I restricted before. Especially sweets. I’ll have like 15 chips ahoy cookies at a time and still want more. I’ll eat a whole pint of ice cream at a time. I am trying to not add up add calories but of course mentally I can’t help it and I can feel myself slowly putting on weight. I’m scared about this. Am I just giving myself an excuse to eat whatever I want? Was I ever eating in a disordered way ? Is this normal?
I’m trying to love myself but it’s hard and it’s hard to honor my cravings when I feel like everyone is judging me for eating a lot of sweet or like I’m bad for not restricting.
I am in therapy and working through it but it’s a slow process.

If I use a M14 12.9 bolt with a class 10 nut and torque it to the spec specified for 10.9 (201nm), will the 12.9 bolt give any disadvantages? (Assuming the application requires 10.9 torque spec of course.)
I figure it could maybe stretch differently than the 10.9 since it's not torqued properly (which would be 235nm) and result in a different clamping force. But maybe it's insignificant.
I know issues of hydrogen embrittlement, these are untreated bolts either way that I will have to protect with wax so that doesn't matter.
The reason I can't use correct grade stuff is because the specific bolt I need only comes in 12.9 and I can only get the right nut in class 10.

I have secretly been in a relationship for two years, but now my family is forcing me to study abroad. I'm not entirely against the idea of studying psychology in Canada since I have always dream of becoming a therapist and psychology field in Vietnam is just not as developed as Canada.
Here is the thing, I have to complete two - year course of nursing before I can start learning psychology since my family isn't financially stable enough to get me straight into learning it.
I'm trying my best to figure out a way to fininish my study as early as possible, I'm planning to get back to Vietnam, which is where my girlfriend is currently living and start working and studying for doctoral's degree there at the same time after finishing my master's degree in Canada.
Even so, that progress will still take up at least 8 years, could anyone give me some advice on how to finish psychology degrees in Canada faster? Or generally, what should I do?

Hello! I wanted to share my analysis on how Cloud & Aerith represent the Ancient Greek legend of Orpheus & Eurydice, one of the most well known tragic love stories. There have been many different variations of this story from Hadestown to Moulin Rouge. I will reference the broadway show Hadestown a lot, because I’m a huge fan of the show and it represents Orpheus & Eurydice’s story very well. With this analysis, I’m going in with the belief that Hollow and No Promises to Keep are Cloud and Aerith’s songs that are about each other, who those songs are about is a whole different argument, but to ME, it’s obvious who they’re about and I’m using them to push this analysis further.
In the Greek legend, Orpheus & Eurydice fell in love, and one day Eurydice died from the bite of a viper. Orpheus was so ruined by grief that he traveled to the underworld itself to find Eurydice and bring her back. Orpheus sang about his love for Eurydice to Hades and Persephone, who were so moved by it that Hades gave him the opportunity to bring Eurydice out of the underworld, he just has to take the long walk out of the underworld with Eurydice behind him, and he cannot look back at her the entire walk until they are out of the underworld, or else she will be sent back down. Towards the end of their walk, Orpheus is worried that Hades had tricked him because he could not hear Eurydice behind him. He loves her so much that he is driven mad by the fear and doubt that enter his mind. So much so that he ends up looking back at her, and she is sent back to the underworld.
Now for the comparison to Cloud and Aerith. Obviously, we see their relationship become a precious and cherished thing, until Aerith is suddenly killed.
Now Cloud is not a singer or a poet, but he does have a song in the Remake. This song is heavily theorized to be about Aerith, and makes the most sense to be about her. It describes how lost and hollow he feels without her, which is so unbelievably Orpheus of him. In the lines;
“Bloody and bruised Brought to my knees When beaten down When broken up You would appear, Reach out to me, Heal every wound, And make me whole”
It makes me think of a scene in Hadestown, where Orpheus gets beaten up while in the underworld trying to get Eurydice back. Persephone is inspired by Orpheus’ determination to get Eurydice back, she keeps him going even when he’s beaten down.
Throughout Hollow, he says a lot of words like “Guide me to you” “I’ll never let you go”. He still wants to find her somehow after feeling so empty from her death. Again, very Orpheus.
Let’s look at the lyrics for Wait for me that Orpheus sings in Hadestown;
“Wait for me, I’m coming Wait, I’m coming with you Wait for me, I’m coming too I’m coming too”
Before Aerith even dies, she is kidnapped by Shinra, and Cloud makes it his personal mission to go get her back. After she is kidnapped in Remake, he has a vision of her, where he tells her, “I’m coming for you” In Rebirth, after she “dies” he tells her “I’ve got this” in English, but in the Japanese version, guess what he really says?
“Wait for me”
There’s also the Loveless play in Rebirth, where Cloud and Aerith play Alphreid and Rosa, whose story is very reminiscent of their real story. (I’m aware of how Rosa’s part can also be played by Tifa and Yuffie, but the story of this play fits Cloud and Aerith the most, as well as Rosa’s character fits Aerith the most. I could go into more evidence as to why the whole gold saucer section and Loveless play is very Aerith-leaning even while its player-choice but that is besides the point)
There is a line that Alphreid tells Rosa;
“You needn’t promise that you’ll wait. For I know that I will find you here”
Key words: Wait and Find
In Hadestown, Eurydice sings a song called Flowers. And guess who in FF7 is a flower girl? Aerith. The song ups about how Eurydice regrets becoming a worker for Hades (in this version she is very poor and hungry, and Hades convinced her to sell her soul for the safety of it all) but she misses the world above and remembers Orpheus and her happiness with him in the fields of flowers. Aside from the obvious flower connection, this almost makes me think of how while Aerith had a responsibility in dying and saving the world, she may have regrets since all she wants is to be happy with Cloud (we see her wishes on her dream date with him, spending time with him is how she wishes her life would be without the burden) and in the Advent Children script, when Cloud rides his motorcycle by a field of flowers where her ghost is standing and watching over him, it describes her feeling lonely.
Another thing to note, in Hadestown, a flower is used a symbol for the whole show. Most notably for this analysis, Orpheus uses it as a reminder of her as he travels to the underworld and tries to give it back when they REUNITE. And guess what happens when Cloud and Aerith meet? She gives him a flower that represent REUNION of lovers.
In Aerith’s song, No Promises to Keep, Aerith describes this burden while also saying lines like,
“Till the day that we meet again Where or when? I wish I could say But believe know that you'll find me“
Also:
“Take my hand And believe We can be Together evermore”
And don’t forget:
“Still I hope someday you'll come and find me“
This just screams Eurydice waiting for Orpheus in the underworld, knowing he’ll come find her. Shes saying, come and find me, while he’s saying, guide me to you. Pair that with how Cloud keeps saying Orpheus lines like “Wait for me” and “I’m coming for you”
In the original FF7, Cloud gets a glimpse of Aerith after the final battle, and that’s when he says:
“the Promised Land... I think I can meet her...there.”
Now we don’t have a clear answer as to what exactly the Promised Land is. Since Aerith is dead at this point when Cloud says this, it makes you wonder if it’s related to where you go when you die, or maybe just where Aerith goes since she is a Cetra. Regardless, she is still dead and Cloud still wants to find her, much like Orpheus when Eurydice dies.
In the Advent Children film that takes place two years after Aerith dies, Cloud himself is dying from geostigma, and sadly enough, is pushing away his friends, accepting death rather than fighting it, seemingly searching for Aerith amongst it all with how he sleeps in her church. Orpheus was known to have never been the same after Eurydice died, completely swallowed up with grief until he had the idea to see her again in the underworld.
Another interesting detail in AC, when he has visions of her, Cloud cannot look at Aerith because of his guilt until the very end where he decides to keep living on.
In the FF7 Remake, it takes a little different approach than the original FF7 did. There are multiversal aspects that have made people question if Aerith’s fate is final this time. Since we don’t know how Part 3 of the trilogy will play out, some of this is theorizing. But what I believe is that there was a new timeline where Cloud saved Aerith, it’s not the current timeline that Cloud and the rest of the party are in, but Cloud knows of this other timeline where Aerith is alive because he is the only one that can see into that timeline.
No Promises to Keep plays when they part at the very end of the game, the same song that talks about how she wants him to come and find her, just like he did when she was kidnapped by Shinra. This makes me wonder if maybe he will try to cross between different worlds (much like Orpheus with the underworld) to try and get her back. If this will be successful or not, we will see, he is Orpheus after all.
I am one that does not mind either way if Aerith lives or dies by the end of this new trilogy. Simply because the tragedy of their romance was already great, it would be emphasized even more with this hope that maybe we can get her back. Getting that hope then getting the same result is very reminiscent of Orpheus and Eurydice. But I will say I am hopeful that Cloud can defy fate and get his Eurydice back, I would love to see them happy together by the end.
And that is the end of my analysis, Cloud and Aerith’s romance were always my favorite not just because of their great dynamic but their story represents a beautiful ancient Greek Tragedy that shows how much a man can love a woman.
