Best job fit for my skills? (Spain/Management)

2024.05.14 08:56 AbiesHalva7 Best job fit for my skills? (Spain/Management)

I’ve accidentally entered the world of SAP consulting. Now I wonder with everything that I have what is the best payed and most flexible job I could get with this?
Here’s what I have:
*I assure you I didn’t grow so fast because I’m a mega talented consultant, I got super lucky.
I have quite decent management skills and consulting is a decent job but very intense.
Someone recently told me that I could do risk management (banking) easily (learn on the road) and have much more tranquility for the same or bigger salary.
QUESTION What career options do I have? Which industries ? What path would you recommend me that might be, ideally better payed and less stressful / dynamic?
Thx 🙏🏻

2024.05.14 08:53 That_annoying_git Swimming lessons behaviour problems

A foreword, were on a waiting list for an assessment and have been for a year. Either autism or ADHD or both. There are suitable signs like food aversion, sensory overload, hyperfocus special interests.
So, I started swimming lessons with him when he was around 2, parent and toddler classes. It was a nightmare. he'd cling, would fight the planned lessons activities and be more interested in his own thing and refuse to get his head wet. And meltdowns were common. When he turned 4 I gave, even though the tutor was nice, all his friends were moving up to the next group when the parents stay out of the water but we couldn't trust him to not run off and to her follow instructions.
I gave it a year. He's in school, aged 5 1/2 (UK) and has been for the best part of a year now. So I was kinda hoping that the normalisation of other adult authority figure would be more commonplace for him.
So I rebooked him for lessons as it's an important life skill. This is a small group lesson of 4 kids with 2 teachers. The first lesson was rocky as he's scared of water getting in his eyes but the goggles I got with the foam strap did the trick and he adjusted and ended up liking it. I THOUGHT I'd cracked it! Comfy goggles check, no emotional support mummy in the water to distract check!!
But the next 2 lessons have turned into all round frustrating failures. He. won't. Listen. He's not scared now, cool, but he won't stay put, tries to play with the other floaties, the LOUDEST child there, can't keep still when he waits to get in. He's stimming like his at a preschool rave!! Jumping, smacking his head, gibbering, giggling. He's excited, he's said so himself but then he unreachable, so wrapped up in the excitement and the stimming that both me and the teachers are calling him and to calm down but he doesn't hear (not a hearing issue, more of an in his own world issue) one of the teachers has to stay with him at all times I feel bad as it's effecting the other children's lessons.
On top of that, when the teacher tells him what to do and he does respond, he normally says "I don't know how" even when shown. That part I think it anxiety and overthinking (been there myself)
So this is more of a question to parents of neurodivigent children. HOW do you deal with these stimming lockouts?
I spoke to my husband to cancel the lessons as I don't think he's ready, it's not fair on the other kids or the teachers. My son wants to keep going, as parroted back at me it's an important life skill and my husband wants to give him one more chance, I said he can do it then as I've had enough (and I can see how that going to go, badly)
My son's behaviour, before and after was great. But the moment we passed the threshold of the pool room is was hyperactive stimming hell. My husband thinks it's sound and lighting, same as supermarkets as he can get like this there too.
Any advise would be grand to help deal with the behaviour, as for the solution for swimming I truly believe cancelling is the right thing to do but would 1 to 1 be any better? Or do I wait another year?

2024.05.14 08:49 thebunker424 Can I take the online written test beforehand, then take the driving test at the same day of applying for a Real ID driver license(California)?

Same question as the title. I plan to take my written test online, since I am currently out of state. Then schedule two appointment back-to-back, one for applying for a Real ID driver license, the other one for the driver test. In a sense, getting my learn permit and getting a driver test hours later. For your information, I know how to drive a car, I have been behind the wheels for about 10 years, just not in the US or the state of california.

2024.05.14 08:48 feastupontherich What happens next? I asked ChatGPT

When in doubt, ask ChatGPT right? Hope this is enlightening. Took me a while to ask the right questions.
1. What's up with LEAPS and put options expiring? Could this affect anything?
  1. Grasping Short Selling and LEAPS:
    • Short selling involves betting against a stock's price by borrowing shares, selling them, and aiming to repurchase them at a lower price later.
    • Long-Term Equity Anticipation Securities (LEAPS) offer extended-term trading opportunities with options contracts featuring longer expiration dates.
  2. Short Selling with LEAPS:
    • Utilizing LEAPS, particularly put options, enables investors to short a stock by gaining the right to sell the underlying stock at a predetermined price (strike price) within the LEAPS contract's timeframe.
    • If the stock price falls below the strike price, put options become profitable, allowing investors to benefit from the stock's decline.
  3. Scenario: 3-Year Put Expiry:
    • Imagine a scenario where investors engage in a coordinated short attack using LEAPS with a strike price of $1.00.
    • Despite concerted efforts, the stock price remains resilient at $15 after three years, rendering the put options worthless and foiling the short-selling endeavor.
  4. Unchecked Short Selling Tactics:
    • In a hypothetical scenario of regulatory capture with no oversight, short sellers could resort to more aggressive and illegal tactics to drive a stock's price down to pennies.
    • These tactics might include:
      • Spreading False Information
      • Naked Short Selling
      • Spoofing and Layering
      • Pump and Dump Schemes
      • Coordinated Market Manipulation
    • These tactics, if unchecked, could severely disrupt market integrity, erode investor confidence, and lead to significant harm for unsuspecting market participants.
  5. Additional Consideration: Massive Put Options Expiry:
    • It's worth considering the impact of a massive number of put options expiring simultaneously after three years. While a substantial volume of put options expiring could indicate bearish sentiment, it alone wouldn't cause a sudden doubling of a stock's price overnight.
    • The expiration of put options typically doesn't directly influence stock prices. Instead, stock prices are determined by supply and demand dynamics, company fundamentals, economic factors, and investor sentiment.
    • However, if there were unusual circumstances or market manipulation involved, such as a massive short squeeze or sudden buying pressure overwhelming the market, it's theoretically possible for a stock price to experience extreme volatility or rapid movements.
2. What else could cause the price of a stock to double up in a single day?
Thank you for the clarification. Given that retail investor buying pressure is internalized into dark pools and does not directly impact the lit market, let's reconsider the factors contributing to a 110% stock price increase and a volume of 2x the total shares issued trading in a single day, focusing on other potential drivers:
  1. Short Squeeze Overwhelms Market Makers: A short squeeze occurs when short sellers are forced to buy back shares to cover their positions, driving the stock price higher. If the short interest is high and market makers are unable to meet the demand for shares, this could lead to a rapid increase in the stock price.
  2. Speculative Trading: Speculative traders, hedge funds, or institutional investors may enter into large buying positions, anticipating a potential price increase. This speculative buying can drive up demand and contribute to a surge in trading volume and price appreciation.
  3. Algorithmic Trading Strategies: Automated trading algorithms may detect price momentum and volume spikes, triggering buy orders to capitalize on the upward movement. These algorithmic trading strategies can amplify price fluctuations and contribute to increased trading activity.
  4. Market Dislocations or Technical Factors: Market dislocations, caused by sudden shifts in supply and demand dynamics or technical factors such as breakout patterns or price gaps, can lead to exaggerated price movements and trading volume.
  5. Short-Term Catalysts or News: Positive news announcements, such as earnings surprises, regulatory approvals, or takeover rumors, can attract buying interest from investors and drive the stock price higher. Such short-term catalysts can trigger a surge in trading volume as investors react to the news.
  6. Lack of Liquidity and Market Depth: Limited liquidity or market depth can exacerbate price volatility, especially when a large volume of buying orders overwhelms available sellers. This imbalance in supply and demand can result in exaggerated price movements as buyers compete for available shares.
  7. Institutional Buying or Block Trades: Large institutional investors or hedge funds executing block trades may contribute to significant price movements and trading volume. These institutional trades can influence market sentiment and trigger follow-on buying or selling activity.
  8. Market Manipulation or Pump-and-Dump Schemes: While retail investor buying pressure may be internalized into dark pools, the possibility of market manipulation or coordinated buying efforts cannot be entirely ruled out. Pump-and-dump schemes, where investors artificially inflate the stock price before selling their shares at a profit, can lead to short-term price spikes and increased trading volume.
  9. Event-Driven Trading Strategies: Event-driven trading strategies, such as merger arbitrage or special situation investing, may prompt investors to buy or sell shares based on specific corporate events or developments. These trading strategies can lead to heightened volatility and trading activity in the affected stock.
  10. Global Macro Factors or Systemic Risks: External factors such as changes in macroeconomic conditions, geopolitical events, or systemic risks can impact investor sentiment and market dynamics, leading to sudden and significant price movements in individual stocks.

2024.05.14 08:44 Pokevege Advice needed

Hi, I am a new player and just started my account a week ago. My main angel currently is Gaia at 4 star awakening and level 180. I also have SSR+ angels Loki, Hera and Chaos.
I read up on the angel tierlist and realised that I should get a main SSR+ DPS angel to focus on in order to build my team and climb up the ranks. None of the 3 I have currently are optimal as the 1st SSR+ angel.
Based on what I see, Ares, Freyja, Ember dragon and Chang er would be top picks. However, currently from the summon pools I would only be able to get Ares from wish and Chang er from the limited summons. I currently have 193 Blue scrolls and 100 red scrolls.
I also saw people recommending to wait till the anniversary event to use the blue and red scrolls for better returns. However it is a month away.
Question is should I try to get an Ares or Chang er first to build as my main angel instead of waiting? If I wait I would not have a SSR+ to build for the time being. Also are there any other SSR+ angels good for the DPS main besides the ones mentioned? I am not sure which of the 4 would be better as well to be picked as the 1st angel.
Any advice would be appreciated please!

2024.05.14 08:29 White_Cakes_2000 Where does the money paid to MRSS go?

In Singapore, all public venues playing music are mandated to pay music copyright fees if they play background music, regardless of the platform. These are license fees known as the Reproduction of Sound Recording license. According to the website:
(1) Your license fee goes back to the music labels and artists as royalties. MRSS is authorized by the recording companies (see the list on our website) to collect the fees on their behalf, which are then distributed back to them as royalties. However, the fees are first paid to the members of MRSS as stated here: (2) License fees collected are distributed back to MRSS members after deduction of operation costs. In this way, the rights of copyright owners are safeguarded, and fair business practices in the music industry are upheld.
More about MRSS
The fees are $600 annually per restaurant, hotel, gym, retail store, or medical clinic, and $3000 annually per club.
Let’s say Singapore has about 5,400 restaurants, 430 hotels, and 22,000 retail stores, totaling 27,830 venues. Assuming 70% of these venues pay the license because the majority do play background music, that's 19,481 outlets. The annual fee of $600 multiplied by 19,481 outlets, divided by 12 months, equals $974,050.
MRSS's revenue potentially exceeds a million dollars a month. That’s insane!?
There are 36 record labels listed on the website. How do they determine how much money each record label receives and how much MRSS retains for itself? It’s mentioned that MRSS is a non-profit organization.
Does anyone know how this process works? It seems like no one questions it. I’ve asked many friends in the music industry, and not a single person knows or questions it. Everyone pays because it’s illegal not to. I understand the importance of paying copyrights but how do they determine how the money is distributed back to the Artists fairly?

2024.05.14 08:27 inkrediblewhit Being Sued by Debt Collection Attorneys

I am currently being sued in California for an unpaid credit card from 2022. Facts follow: 1. I do owe the debt of approximately $6,000. I don't dispute that. I fell behind after moving for a new job and let my payments fall behind in October 2022. 2. Bank of America has charged off the debt as of May 2023. This is on my credit report, but I did not receive a 1099-C for the cancelation of debt.. 3. The firm that is suing me is Nelson and Kennard. They claim on paperwork to be representing Bank of America, and that's the listed plaintiff on the court documents.
I've reached out to a local firm that offered to negotiate the debt for me, but that will be an extra $900 that I really don't have. I reached out to Nelson and Kennard in an attempt to negotiate payment of what I owe, but they were quite rude and unwilling to work with me. I originally offered that I could pay $300/ month, but they insisted that their "client" wouldn't take less than $600/month, plus stated that they would have to add back any fees they incurred for the lawsuit which "could" start at $215, but didn't provide me with an actual number. I called again after figuring what I could cut from my budget and offered $500/month, but they still refused to budge.
My questions are: 1. Is this lawsuit genuinely on behalf of Bank of America? Or is this firm a debt buyer that is being shady somehow? The reviews against them online are very concerning and they seem to not be upfront with their practices. 2. Has anyone dealt with this firm and can provide advice as to my best options for dealing with them? 3. Would it be advisable for me to reach out to Bank of America directly to try to resolve the debt?
I'm a single mother (my daughter graduates next month) with a professional license so I DO want to get this taken care of, but I don't want to go in blind or get taken advantage of. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

2024.05.14 08:26 ForKobeBean Need advice/help to pick my next motorcycle

Bikers malaysians, I’m in need of your advice in picking my next motorcycle.
For context, I am a 170cm 78kg Male that will be commuting to work daily for a total of 38km per day. I need a motorcycle for obvious reasons, because I really don’t want wanna be stuck in traffic and I wanna avoid paying for parking and tolls daily.
I also have a B2 license ever since I was 16 but funnily enough I’ve never owned a bike ever in my life 😂 But since I’m about to start a new job, and it’s an area where traffic is crazy and the parking is nearly impossible to find, I’m opting to get a bike instead.
I’ve been eyeing the Honda Vario 150cc so I just want to know whether it’s a viable option for me considering my daily journey. And to add more context, I’m really a car person so my knowledge towards motorcycles are not that good, which also bags the question whether is it convenient for a noob like me to handle the maintenance of a scoot or should I just get something like a Yamaha Lagenda or a Honda Dash?
Preferably I’d want an AT bike, but my friend tells me that the maintenance of an AT bike is a bit more complex than the later. So what do you guys think that I should opt for?
Thanks everyone!
p/s: my budget is no higher than RM7500

2024.05.14 08:26 realenjoyer Job offer in Dubai, Visa states Sharjah?

So I am changing jobs for the first time, and I got my visa cancelled for them to issue the new visa. It's somewhat of a high paying job.
The offer was sent across and it states that I am - "Entitled to 1 rest day weekly on Sundays" (It was mentioned I would get Saturday+Sunday off)
Some of my questions regarding these:
  1. I have a car that will be transferred to my name soon, so will I be forced to do that transition to a Sharjah License Plate?
  2. Employer will probably give me the weekend off as agreed, but legally binding I cant do much if they say work saturdays, correct?
  3. What are the pros and cons/or little things to note if the emirate/visa is Sharjah over a Dubai Emirate visa? I currently have my rental and everything still in place under my old visa. Not sure how this will affect everything, but I assume all stays the same?

2024.05.14 08:13 GWBrooks A framework for thinking about AI in PR

Snipped from a Hacker News comment related to Open AI's new release: "We’re moving toward a world where every job will be modeled, and you’ll either be an AI owner, a model architect, an agent/hardware engineer, a technician, or just.. training data."
I know many folks think big swaths of PR are -- and will remain -- immune to AI. But as a thought exercise, I can see the industry getting a piece of every one of these roles:
AI owner: Highly technical or specific domains will absolutely require custom-trained models; a smart domain-focused PR shop could train those models and build a business (or at least a profitable line item on the invoices) out of renting it to clients. Probably makes less sense right now because the rate of iteration is too fast to easily keep up.
Model architect: People are modeling the work of PR professionals into a tailored AI -- I don't have to guess at that; I know folks doing it. The more interesting question: Why aren't PR people/shops modeling the behavior of journalists and influencers into AIs? Decades ago, we needed a hit in the NYT for a certain level of shock-and-awe coverage. Today? The right model and API framework could launch 20 niche Substacks, cross-pollinate them, promote them via earned and paid channels on social, and likely get the same impact or more. And we could do it with a higher degree of data-driven certainty about our process and results. Ethical? Not everyone will think so. Is that gonna stop the train? Nope.
Agent/hardware engineer and/or technician: This seems to be where a lot of individuals and shops are experimenting right now, futzing around with how to make AI work for specific clients and highly individualized/quirky workflows. It's a start... but I don't think it's a way to build a business with a moat around it.
Training data: This is the one I never hear people talking about. The world is *awash* in new AI models, many of them open source. How long before some PR person figures out they can impact the output of those models by flooding the zone with biased training data? As with the model-architect issue, it's something many folks would find unethical. But the sheer amplification it would offer is too tempting a target to think someone won't do it.
Anyway, that's what I'm thinking about while stuck in an airport waiting for a delayed red-eye. What does everyone else think?

2024.05.14 08:13 cringeygrace Who owned Fazbears Fright: The Horror Attraction?

Alright, so I will preface this by saying that I largely stopped following FNAF after UCN for a variety of reasons. However, I wouldn't say I lost interest in the franchise. I was just temporarily burnt on spending hours at a time combing every detail of every pixel while following one theory update after another. And then after a year or two, it just seemed too much so I put off getting back into it while focusing on life problems. Plus, this was around the time the "soft reboot" was first proposed and at the time I felt it was a copout. What I'm trying to say is, I might be unclear about a lot of details, so don't crucify me 😂
For the sake of discussion, please don't hit me with "the games never happened" theory. I'm aware it's entirely possible that the first three games were pure meta fiction allowing Scott to retcon as needed. But it's also possible that they did happen. For the sake of this discussion, I'm assuming the ladder.
I recently watched MatPats Ultimate Timeline Theory from last year. Which is probably now only half valid because Help Wanted 2 is now out, into the pit is on the way, etc. Not that his theories are gospel. There's always possible differing theories and alternative explanations. But he does do a good job of explaining things, so whether you believe his theories or not, it was a good starting point for me to get back into the franchise.
Anywho, this has me wondering. If Henry Emily was indeed still alive, as suggested by his involvement in FNAF 6/FFPS, then who owned Fazbears Fright: The Horror Attraction? I know the attraction itself was owned by an amusement park, but I mean who owned the rights? At the time, it was theorized that the new owners of the franchise simply wanted to cash in on the reputation. This was also at the time it was commonly believed that the original founders sold the restaurants to Fazbear entertainment.
But we now know there was no new owner. One of the 2 founders of Fredbears Family Diner (and later Fazbear Entertainment), Henry Emily, continued to own it up until it's ultimate dissolution following the burning of Freddy Fazbears Pizza Place in FNAF 6. At least, until it was reincorporated by whoever resurrected it to build the Pizzaplex. Let's not talk about who the new CEO is, that's a whole other discussion.
NOTE: I know it's also possible that Afton owned Fredbears Family Diner independently before partnering with Henry to form Fazbear entertainment. This isnt the focus of the discussion so please don't zone in on this detail. The key point is that Henry has been around since the beginning of Fazbear Entertainment, and still owned it when the horror attraction was launched.
So this begs the question, if Henry Emily owned Fazbear Entertainment the whole time, why the hell did he license a horror attraction? Actually, as I type this, I came up with a possible answer. Perhaps Henry Emily is the one who burnt down Fazbears Fright? We know he did this with the final restaurant, and that the final restaurant was created for this sole purpose. With this in mind it stands to reason that perhaps Fazbears Fright was an early attempt at burning it all to the ground.
Golden Freddy and the Puppet are present. Which means, Charlotte and Cassidy are present. As is Afton/Spring Trap. Baby/Elizabeth isn't there, but it's also possible Henry simply didn't know about her yet. There was quite the gap between Fazbears Fright, and Freddy Fazbears Pizza Place, and like Michael, Henry was likely tracking the animatronics following the failed burn attempt. It could stand to reason that he learned about Baby and Molten Freddy during this time period.
Henry doesn't seem to be the type who would make light of the tragedy to make a quick buck, but he's the only person who could possibly have licensed the name, and gave permission to excavate the restaurant that served as Williams tomb. But, if he had an ulterior motive, such as ending it once and for all, he wouldn't be above using the amusement park as a tool to make it happen. He originally intended for the franchisee of Pizza Place to be a random person, so he clearly didn't care who got caught in the crossfire.
But this begs the question, why not just burn the damn restaurant down while Williams corpse was sealed in the safe room? Why risk releasing him into the world??? Was there some reason why it couldn't have been the restaurant that burned?

2024.05.14 08:11 dancingqueen200 29 no license, ready to change

I’m 29, almost 30 in September. I went through drivers Ed at 15, completed the program, tried to take the driving test a few years later, freaked out, and failed. Over the years I’ve taken a couple of driving lessons here and there, and have to retake my written test and get new permits every few years. The last time I took lessons they went horribly, I started having a panic attack and the instructor had to drive us back. All of these years, I have relied on others for rides, walked, or taken Ubers or the bus if I’m downtown. Even my closest friends don’t know that I don’t have a license as I have so much shame about it. I lie to people and tell them I don’t have a car, I’m car pooling, I don’t like driving, I’m afraid of driving. Those are all true but they aren’t the whole truth.
I feel like I’m at a crossroads. I’m just about to graduate from a masters program and I applied to a job that it looks like I might get. It’s about an hour and a half away, which will require me to move. I could get an apartment in that town and take the bus to work but I really want to not have to worry about that. I want to be able to meet up with friends on the weekend or come home to visit my family or drive myself 20 minutes to Trader Joe’s. I also have this sense that I’m about to be asked out by someone very special and I don’t want this to be a barrier in us getting to know each other.
I have avoided any lessons since before 2020 but I just made an appointment! I’m done with doing this.

2024.05.14 08:01 tasknautica Bad experiences, asking for advice and detailed recomendations for next gaming laptop - thermals and performance

Hello there,
I purchased an MSI pulse 17, RTX 4070, i7 13700H last year, which i had many issues with. Primarily thermals and overheating. The technician at the store acknowledged it was faulty but I still had to go through an extremely lengthy legal process to finally get a partial refund (sadly, only store credit)
This time around, I have been looking around for a good gaming laptop with high performance but primarily good thermals. I do, however, want to make sure I get as best performance as I can out of the laptop, and not just 'undervolt it and youre fine'. So preferably a laptop with which I can use Intel's turbo boost (auto max frequency) with.
Some questions id like to know about are: -- I have heard that Lenovo's have good cooling but a lot of reviews I see have said that it reaches 100c, is this true? -- how about asus? -- how well does your recomendation perform with turbo boost? -- do cooling pads, like the one i have (iets gt500) improve thermals on yours? --in general, whats the laptop like, its pros and cons?
I know gaming laptops have bad cooling in general and that its impossible to fully overclock and expect good thermals so I'm really just looking for an overall best.
Id appreciate everyones opinions, thank you very much!

2024.05.14 07:55 NovaCynical Did I just get lucky and what am I in for? (New IT Technician Job)

So I'll start off by saying I have made consistently poor decisions the entire time I have been in college. I started off in IT, then switched to Computer Science, and finally (after wasting 3 semesters at this point) landed on Game Programming as my college major...big mistake, but it was a dream job and still is, but its a very unrealistic dream. I've only more recently become interested in finding an IT job and after a year of applying to hundreds of jobs, only getting 7 interviews, and only once (last week) being offered a job, I happily accepted the position, without negotiating pay, just because I was shocked to even get offered the position so quickly. The job title is "IT Technician", but during the interview, I was told that the position covers on-site installations/repairs/replacements for security and POS systems, as well as a 24/7 help desk, and on top of that, they program all of the software used in the POS systems that they install. Lastly, they also maintain all servers and networks for their clients...
So, I will say again that my college major is game programming and I have never once had a class that covered anything outside of video games. Any programming language I learned, I only learned the basics of it before being thrown into the next language. So I would not say I am confident in my programming abilities if they think I am able to program on day 1 or even month 1. I have 4 years of customer service experience so that is the only thing I would say I'd be good at without a lot of training. But considering that I still have a year of college left to get my Bachelor's, no certifications, no past IT experience, and no portfolio, I honestly have no idea how I got offered this job when there were over 100 other applicants on Indeed (according to Indeed).
I'm just so confused as to how I got this job, what they were even looking for in their candidates, what skills they think I have, and more importantly, what I'm in for. I will also add that the interviewer said that there would be a second "technical" interview if they decided to continue with me, which I never had because they just offered me the job 4 days later. Its a salary position (45k) that is significantly more than what I make working in retail(14$/hr), but looking online for salary information, I see people making anywhere from 30-55k just to be a help desk technician. Assuming the guy that interviewed me was being dead serious, I would be working with hardware, software, help desk, and even networking? That seems like 4 job positions combined into a low-ball salary.
I am not complaining, I feel very blessed with this opportunity and I will put in 100% and then some, but my question is...did I just get lucky being picked? Is 45k reasonable for all of that, assuming I am actually going to be involved with all of it? If not, is it at least worth the experience I'll have on my resume later? Should I expect to work 8-5 five days a week like the job description states, or should I expect to be working 50+ hours a week just because I'm salary? I am willing to accept lower pay, mainly because I understand that I have 0 experience, no degree, not certs, and the fact that I would (hopefully) be learning a lot. However, I don't want the be completely taken advantage of, so what do you guys think?
Sorry for the length by the way, but thank you to those who took the time to read, and thanks again for any responses I may get.

2024.05.14 07:53 ZealousidealAbroad52 is my (18f) boyfriend (19m) a hypocrite or am i just sensitive?

so for context, i (18f) am bisexual and definitely have a preference for women and my boyfriend (19m) is 100% aware of this and respects it. this will make sense later i swear; so let's call my boyfriend bob to make this easier. bob has only ever been in one serious relationship before this one, they apparently were quite "toxic" and were on and off for 3ish years.
me and bob have been dating for just over a year and it's been great. besides him getting mad over me and multiple female friends getting in our male friends car to get from point A-B or to simply go for a drive since we live in a pretty small town. mind you, these aren't just random male friends -they're 2 people we have known way before i knew my boyfriend existed and we have never flirted or had any romantic connection in any way. i never thought anything was wrong with this until bob said it made him uncomfortable that other men were driving me around (he also didn't have a license at the time)
as he's always treated me well and i respect him, i stopped going out for rides with these guys and continued with going out on the weekends with the girls. but almost every time he would pick a guy or two that went to the function and ask me a million questions about them and act as if i was interested or if the guy was around me. what really annoys me about this is that he knows i am pretty easily 'off-put' by most men and my preference for women. the amount of men he has told me to remove as followers etc… even my plug😭
he has NEVER raised even the slightest suspicion about girls im around or new female friends i make, but any new male he gets super uptight about. i have never cheated on him let alone anyone and I've actually been cheated on in the past, so i know the pain and i could never do that to someone which bob is also aware of.
i don't use snapchat, i barely post on socials, this is actually my first post here (yay??) and id let him sift through my phone if he asked. despite this, he looked through my phone one night after i was knocked out from a 10 hour shift and all he found was personal messages from my two (17f, 18f) best friends. i was super upset about this but let it go eventually. now, i felt really bad for doing this; a few (maybe 3) months later i couldn't sleep and was watching netflix on my laptop and his phone charging next to me started ringing about 2 calls before i picked up and it was just bobs (19m) best friend wanting something from bob. i let the best friend know he was asleep and that i'd get bob to call in the morning.
instead of switching his phone off, i started looking through the almost 300 friends he had added on facebook. i found his ex, PLENTY (mostly) females and got so upset. since he still had his ex added i got suspicious and looked through his notes where he has a list made WHEN DATING ME with a code of the nsfw activities he's done and with who. it was disgusting and my name was of course in there.
then, recently he "didn't plan" to run into these two females with his mate who has a crush on one. apparently the 4 of them sat in a park together and "talked" and when telling me about it said "don't be mad" when these are random girls he barely knows and i've cut off males i've been friends with since middle school.

2024.05.14 07:52 NovaCynical What Should My Next Certification Be?

I am asking this question here because for some reason, it was removed from ITCareerQuestions ?
Anyways, I just passed my CompTIA A+ core 2 exam, and ironically, just got my first job offer a week ago. So in a week, I start my new job as an IT Technician, I am still finishing college and have maybe 4 months to go, but with the full time position, I may end up cutting down to part time classes.
I am aware that CompTIA offers the Network+ as a follow up to the A+. However, considering that the network+ automatically renews the A+, I figure that I have about 3 years to get my Network+, and honestly, that seems like the best option, since I will have some professional experience by then, which CompTIA recommends anyway. And for the sake of efficiency, it makes sense to wait till as close to the A+ expiration date, then doing the same with the Network+ with the Security+ so that you end up with 9 years without having to retake the same exam to re-certify.
I may be thinking too deep into this, but indulge me for a minute. So considering I take 6-8 months to prepare for the Network+ exam 2 years and 4 months from now, and hypothetically I try to take on as much college as I can to finish as soon as possible, and finish within the next 8 months, that still leaves a year and 8 months that aren't being utilized here. We can't have that, so assuming I keep up the grind, what certification(s) outside of CompTIA would be good to get (preferably still entry level). I would like to throw, possibly two more certifications on my resume before my A+ expires and can renew it with the Network+. So end goal here is to have 4 certifications and a degree, 3 years from today.
But what certs would honestly help me the most or look the best on a resume from a recruiter's perspective?

2024.05.14 07:47 saoiray Questions on budget for locksport

I guess let me cut to the chase, then can explain a bit of why I'm asking below:
  1. Around how much would you say you spent in total to get all tools? (Not just starter kits, but saying everything...)
  2. Around how long do tools like picks and all last before needing to be replaced?
  3. Approximately how much do you spend each year on getting locks?
Quick story on me is I'm disabled and on a limited budget. While looking for things to do, I decided to pool together money and got the FNG kit and Learn Lockpicking bundle from Covert Instruments (which was $95.14), a very big spend for someone like me living off of $1,236/mo . Unfortunately I've mastered those locks in a short period of time. I'm definitely on the hunt for locks and will gradually get things together.
That said, I'm walking into this completely blind overall. I spent some time going through FAQ provided for this group and I have a lot more research to do. But right now I'm just working on trying to get a realistic understanding of what investments I may need to plan for here in the future. I know it will be a small grind over many years and I'm not rushing. I'm also aware numbers will vary greatly from person to person. But if you can help by sharing a bit on ballpark costs, it might help me on trying to be realistic on what I'll need to work toward and possibly what to add to wish lists for holidays and all.
NOTE:
As I'm posting this, I want to make things abundantly clear that I only have explained my situation (perhaps too much info, but I'm weird that way) so all of you might better understand the purpose of my questions and what information I'm seeking. I'm just looking for information. I am not seeking nor will I accept anything from anyone here except for any advice you might have. Thanks!
