Looking for a travel laptop to carry around in my backpack and use mainly in airports/planes/hotels to remote desktop into my home PC and some light internet use. Ok build quality to stand up to rigors of travel, performance depends (see later question), battery should last a few hours but doesn't need to be super long since I mostly intend to use it while plugged in.

This is where the decision I'm looking for opinions on comes in. At base, no, it's basically for internet and streaming my home desktop, but I'm considering a stronger laptop that can also play some games if that wouldn't be a huge increase in price.

Factorio, League of Legends, maybe the occasional other light game around that level of resource need or lower. Medium or even low settings is fine, 60 fps.

This is a bit of a fun question. To clarify myself in case the question was a bit confusing, what is the most demanding game you've managed to run for at least an hour straight, on your passively cooled phone? I'm asking because I'd like to see something, take it as a bit of a survey.
I have a Xiaomi Poco F5 with a midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor. The "midrange" keyword is important, because it's not particularly powerful at its peak, nor is it efficient enough (performance per watt wise) as a flagship 8 Gen 2, which has MORE peak power AND has a better efficiency curve (better performance per watt).
And because I have a midrange chip, I cannot run heavyweight games like Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at full speed AT ALL. The limit for my midrange processor is "middleweight" games, more specifically light 3D games, such as Risk of Rain 2 and Tunic.
With all that information in mind, and to answer my own question, light 3D games like Tunic is the MOST I can do on my phone, and I've managed to run this game at full speed on my phone for ONE HOUR straight without throttling, *almost miraculously I'd say". Obviously if I play even lighter games, I could run them for even longer, but as far as the most demanding one I can run for at least an hour goes, Tunic takes the crown. The performance miraculously didn't actually throttle, it remained at 30 FPS throughout, BUT the device did get heated up a lot. 😹
(I know it's not good for my battery health, but I frankly don't care, I don't like this phone very much.)

I saw someone ask why we never got a $B x Lil Peep collab in the comments of another post, so i figured i would share some lesser known info about why that never happened, and why it took 8 years for us to get another $B x Ghostemane track.
At one point in time Lil Peep & Ghostemane were in a group called Schemaposse, headed by J. Grxxn. Schema & G59 were tight, and they made multiple songs together. ($eppuku, Avant Garde II, Grayscale, Vices)
At this point, 2015, Peep & Ghoste were much less known than they are now, and were lesser known than even $B was then. Peep had been making music for maybe a year and a half at this point. Therefore $B kind of looked at him as a fan and a rookie, and felt like he wasnt ready for a collab yet.
At this time Peep got absolutely zero respect from the underground rap scene as a whole, because he was viewed as an emo sadboy and his sound was very new so it was pretty unpopular. (The same applies to ghostemane at the time, sans being ‘emo’) Peep still isnt widely respected in hip hop today, but most among the ‘underground’ can agree he’s a legend & pioneer.
So, fast forward to early 2016. The Boy$ made their first full length interview appearance on No Jumper, $outh $ide $uicide released and started to really catch on in the underground and on social media. Paris, Dead Batteries, and FTP were all on their way to multi-millions of views on Youtube.
Scrim had a conversation with Peep & Ghoste around this time, where he gave them the advice that J Grxxn was holding them back musically and they’d see more growth as individuals instead of a collective.
This caused a rift to form between scrim & J Grxxn because he felt as though scrim was trying to go behind his back, and snake him by destroying the group he built and getting into the ears of his artists, basically telling them that he’s dead weight and they’d be better off without him. (Which turned out to be true)
Ghoste & Peep, not wanting to be disloyal to the person who gave them their career, sided with J Grxxn at first, at one point causing ghoste to beef with g59.
Eventually, they both took $crim’s advice, and they went their seperate ways. Peep went hard into the collective GothBoiClique, and Ghoste went hard in his solo music, causing them to both start seeing success and a big spurt in popularity.
But the bad blood was still there, and we would never see a $B x Peep collab, and it would take another 8 years for $B & Ghostemane to collab on the Ying Yang Tapes, after their song $eppuku in 2015.
I believe that if Peep was still alive, we may have saw them collab. But at the time, i think there was still bad blood between all involved, and everyone was more focused on their own growth and careers.
Peep was always vocal about how much of an $B fan he was though. There’s an IG live somewhere out there where Scrim talks about this.
The last time scrim spoke on it, it sounded as though he had no issue with J. Grxxn, and that all of their problems were largely one sided.
As an aside: OmenXIII and the song ‘As the bridges Burn’ fit into this puzzle somewhere. But i couldnt find a good spot to insert that into the story, so maybe i’ll add a comment about that below.

I miss my poco x3 pro. Not gonna lie. It was the best phone I've ever had even though it was just a midrange phone. The snapdragon 860 in 2022 and 2023 was more than enough to put a smile on my face every time i played games (mostly play genshin impact, mobile legend and pubg mobile), or just scrolled through social media. The cameras that can record in 1080p60fps with stabilisation are also good. Some people even complement the phone i was using because the recording was smooth and very clear. My poco at the time was stuck in miui 12 or 13, i don't really remember but it didn't bother me enough even though it bugs or crashes.
Unfortunately, in November of last year (2023). The phone slip out of my pocket as i was riding my motorcycle, it wasn't a long ride, about 1 km or so. When i arrive home i couldn't find my phone anywhere, so the only thing in my mind was trying to find it on the road hoping that it would still be there somewhere. But luck was not on my side, it was nowhere to be found. At that day it was quite sad even though it was just a phone, but it has so many memories and it just vanished just like that.
But now, i just switched to Samsung S21+ (for a couple of weeks now) with the exynos 2100, not the snapdragon 888. I know, some people might be saying that exynos chips aren't as good as snapdragon chips. But so far there is no problem with phone except for its battery. I don't know why, but this 4800mah battery kinda drain pretty fast to be honest. Other than that, the ui (oneui 6.0), the gaming experience, cameras and others are great!

All who gain power are afraid to lose it. - Even the Jedi. - The Jedi use their power for good. Good is a point of view, Anakin. The Sith and the Jedi are similar in almost every way... including their quest for greater power. The Sith rely on their passion for their strength. They think inwards- only about themselves. And the Jedi don't? The Jedi are selfless. They only care about others. Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a dark lord of the Sith... Darth Plagueis was a dark lord of the Sith... so powerful and so wise... he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians... to create... life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side... he could even keep the ones he cared about... from dying. He could actually... save people from death? The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities... some consider to be unnatural. What happened to him? He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was... Iosing his power. Which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew. Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. It's ironic. He could save others from death... but not himself. Is it possible to learn this power? Not from a Jedi. All Red units, over here! Palpatine thinks General Grievous is on Utapau? A partial message was intercepted... in a diplomatic packet from the chairman of Utapau. Act on this we must. The capture of General Grievous will end this war. Hi everyone! I'm a 25M working in tech as a Data Scientist, I wanted to find someone with similar interests or hobbies.
I'm primarily interested in all things related to tech, I game a lot as well (I love Sekiro and Lies of P, along with other FPS games like Apex Legends and Destiny2 - I did download FFXIV too) and also watch anime (a LOT)
Office commute usually drains me of all my energy so I don't have enough social battery to socialize IRL and I don't want to involve my IRL work connections with my personal life so I'm hoping to meet people over here instead.
