Quick backstory: Just finished my first book, at the editor now. Will use local printer, and selling only on my own website. I'm going to use youtube channels to promote the book by giving the creators a promo code.
What I can't figure out is the numbers. It's going to cost me $3.50 to print. I'm selling for $20 (plus $9.95 S&H). If I give a content creator a 50% sales commission (for example), are they getting $10 and I'm getting $10-$3.50? In other words, does their commission come out of my gross or my net?
Also, normally promo codes are discounts. If it's a 25% off discount code, now the book is selling for $15. Are we splitting that? Or are they still getting their cut from the original price?
I realize that the most common answers will be "You can do whatever you want". I guess what I'm asking is what others have done, or perhaps what the "industry standard" might be, if in fact there is one.

I honestly don’t know anymore. I feel like I made a bad decision going to college for cybersecurity. I got my degree but I don’t know anything about cybersecurity. I don’t know what I ultimately want to do in the IT field. I only chose this as I was kinda interested in tech and I was looking for a field that was always in demand and paid well.
Everything I research sounds boring or even if it is interesting I suck at math and I don’t know how to code. In a sense my current position is desktop support. (Still haven’t been promoted and no raise despite my company telling me I would get it).
I can barely understand how to do desktop support. My trouble shooting skills suck and yes, I know practice practice but I feel drained out in this position. I do my best everyday with tickets. I tell internal users idk so often and I hate saying that. Even if I try my best to solve it.
I feel like I will have no life if all I do in my spare time (minus being with my gf and sometimes friends is study). I try to use the downtime at work to look into things I’m interested in or study more about desktop support but I’m like ready to fall asleep even if I find it to be interesting.
I am 30 and sick of making no money with horrible pay raises. This is the hardest I have ever worked in my life. I get desktop support is at the bottom but I really thought I’d get pretty good money. I don’t want to start over again in another field. I know people say certificates help but I suck at tests due to my learning disability’s and I really want to be done with education after finishing my degree and don’t want to pay money unless I’m sure I’ll pass or some job will pay for it.
Not sure if this is for another subreddit but hypothetically if I had to change carriers again I don’t know what interests me that pays actually well and gives good promotions. STAR CITIZEN & SQUADRON 42 EXPLAINED
There are two components to Cloud Imperium Games' (CIG) project. Star Citizen is the MMO component, a first-person experience in a simulated 30th-century universe. • Cryptocurrency (BTC/BCH) requests exceeding $9,500 will be sent incrementally every 3 days until you are fully paid out.
• Should you lose or misplace your check, a STOP PAYMENT fee of $40 may be charged before the funds are returned your account. Deposit your check as soon as possible as it may become non-cashable after a period of time. The STOP PAYMENT option is unavailable on checks older than 6 months.
• Withdrawals via Bitcoin will not be processed until all deposit transactions have been confirmed.

When will I receive my withdrawal?
