CF 126234 DJ36 Silver VR3235
Been on the fence about this watch for a while now, finally moving forward.
  1. Dealer name: Eric (Geektime)
  2. Factory name: Clean
  3. Model name DJ36 126234 silver (V?)
  4. Price Paid: $488
  5. Album Links: https://geektimeqc.x.yupoo.com/albums/166293373?uid=1
  6. Index alignment: angle isn’t perfect, looks good to me
  7. Dial Printing: Swiss made seems a little funky
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: no issues
  9. Hand Alignment: great
  10. Bezel: sharp
  11. Solid End Links (SELS): good
  12. Timegrapher numbers: 0/274/0.0 - good enough for me
  13. Anything else you notice: this is where I seek help. I’m great at overlooking things. The cyclops looks ever so slightly tilted. But I could be wrong. More eyes on alignment couldn’t hurt. Thanks!

Court Cases (Drake ft Travis Scott and Rihanna)
So I found this website called case mine. I don't know how legit this is but you can look up Drake's name and find a whole lot of cases. Here's 2 I thought were worth sharing. Btw, both pics are separate cases.
Someone let me know if this stuff is actually legit please.

2024.06.09 20:11 ojct123 Red flags or overthinking?

I (30M) just moved to a new city and moved into a place with 1 roommate (31M). The listing was on FB marketplace, I came to view, the place was really nice and he seemed like a nice guy so I registered my interest and moved in last week.
I work a 9-5 and he works nights, leaving the house about 10pm and getting home about 9am. Because of his hours we don't see too much of each other, he sleeps in the day and is up for a couple of hours before work so I may see him for a brief period in the evening.
Amber flag 1 Day 3 – He had a night off so we sat chatting for a bit, and then I went to bed, he said he wanted to stay on the same schedule so was going to stay up. The following day I got home from work and put the tv on and he had typed into the search bar of a streaming service "just relax and let my mind turn to mush" which felt a bit eerie to me.
Red flag 1 Day 4 – I was at the gym post work, he messaged me saying had a friend round and asked if I wanted to join for a drink and wanted anything, I said a beer but he said I got back to him too late (response time 2 mins) but I could have a selzter he bought. This felt a bit off for me so I went and got a beer myself on the way home. We're sitting round chatting and his friend said he thinks he's already met me more than the previous roommate to which my roommate responds "yeah there was no last roommate, not after I got done with her!". Very awkward laughter ensues. He then says "good job you didn't drink that seltzer hey!". They decided to go out but I had work early so stayed in and also felt uncomfortable after that interaction.
Amber flag 2 Day 7 – The next few days he's at work so don't see him much. Yesterday he was asking what I was up to today and I said I was going running in the morning and then seeing a friend in the evening. He said I should go to this vintage market and specific vintage store nearby. He couldn't really remember the name and it came to him after a few seconds. It felt like he was trying to convince me to go and kept saying "I'm jealous I wish I could join you, you're gunna have a great time!" Even though I hadn't explicitly said I would go yet. Then I'm making dinner and his keys are on the kitchen table and I notice he has a keyring from this specific store with the name and address on. I found odd that he has this keyring, sees this everyday, yet couldn't really remember the name, then when he left for work he said again "you're gunna have a great time tomorrow jealous I can't come." This all felt a bit unusual to me, like he was trying to reverse psychology me into going, but he also could've just wanted me out the house in the day as he would be sleeping. Either way I had other plans so didn't go.
_
I've looked him up on FB/insta/Linkedin and everything supposedly checks out apart from the fact that his latest job which is the night shift is not anywhere which may be odd considering his Linkedin has everything up to that point. He has quite a 'bro' sense of humour so I don't know if it's a mix of that and maybe slight social awkwardness, but my gut is telling me something is off. What does the court of reddit think?

2024.06.09 19:55 ZenBooster block device driver: reading does not work

Kernel: 5.15.0-70-generic.
I used to (parameter is_remap=0) in a similar task, upon receiving an input request bio, I formed my request bioto a higher-level device, and everything worked. But slowly. The writing speed to the flash drive was ~460 kb/sec. Then I decided to forward the request bioto the upstream device directly ( is_remap=1). If you do not try to modify the data, then everything works, and the speed increases to 1.8 Mb/sec, i.e. ~ 4 times. But if you start modifying the data (and this is necessary), then only recording works. When reading, dd receives undecrypted data, and bioin stackbd_end_io_read_cloned(previously cloned using bio_clone_fastin stackbd_io_fn_remap) generally has a zero size. In this case, the size obiois non-zero. How does this even happen, and how to do it right?
It’s interesting that if stackbd_end_io_read_clonedyou change the data after the call bio_endio, then ddthe decrypted data arrives, but I feel that doing this is not correct. Which is confirmed by the fact that fsckafter that mkfsthe system crashes.
For example, I read the sector: user@linux:~/git/stackbd/module$ sudo dd if=/dev/stackbd0 count=1 hexdump -C 00000000 63 d0 18 e5 e3 ee fb a6 ee e9 fc 88 8a a8 a8 88 c............... 00000010 8a 88 88 88 88 70 88 88 98 88 8c 88 88 88 88 88 .....p.......... 00000020 88 48 26 8b 88 b3 88 88 88 88 88 88 8a 88 88 88 .H&............. 00000030 89 88 8e 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 ................ 00000040 08 88 a1 57 55 08 9b c6 c7 a8 c6 c9 c5 cd a8 a8 ...WU........... 00000050 a8 a8 ce c9 dc bb ba a8 a8 a8 86 97 36 ff f4 24 ............6..$ 00000060 aa 48 fc 83 de 3c 86 33 8f 88 45 98 d6 63 78 ba .H...<.3..E..cx. 00000070 6c 45 9e 45 91 63 76 dc e0 e1 fb a8 e1 fb a8 e6 lE.E.cv......... 00000080 e7 fc a8 e9 a8 ea e7 e7 fc e9 ea e4 ed a8 ec e1 ................ 00000090 fb e3 a6 a8 a8 d8 e4 ed e9 fb ed a8 e1 e6 fb ed ................ 000000a0 fa fc a8 e9 a8 ea e7 e7 fc e9 ea e4 ed a8 ee e4 ................ 000000b0 e7 f8 f8 f1 a8 e9 e6 ec 85 82 f8 fa ed fb fb a8 ................ 000000c0 e9 e6 f1 a8 e3 ed f1 a8 fc e7 a8 fc fa f1 a8 e9 ................ 000000d0 ef e9 e1 e6 a8 a6 a6 a6 a8 85 82 88 88 88 88 88 ................ 000000e0 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 ................ * 000001f0 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 88 dd 22 ..............." 1+0 records in 1+0 records out 512 bytes copied, 0,0063565 s, 80,5 kB/s 00000200 user@linux:~/git/stackbd/module$ And this is what I see in the log: kernel: stackbd [task=00000000c60564d5] stackbd_io_fn_remap: HIT.r.1 kernel: debugbd [task=00000000c60564d5] debugbd_submit_bio: debugbd: make request read block 0 #pages 0 total-size 16384 kernel: stackbd [task=00000000c60564d5] stackbd_io_fn_remap: HIT.r.2 kernel: stackbd [task=0000000089abc07d] stackbd_end_io_read_cloned: HIT.1 kernel: stackbd [task=0000000089abc07d] stackbd_end_io_read_cloned: HIT.2: obio.size=16384; bio.size=0 kernel: stackbd [task=0000000089abc07d] stackbd_end_io_read_cloned: HIT.3 kernel: stackbd [task=0000000089abc07d] stackbd_end_io_read_cloned: HIT.4 kernel: stackbd [task=00000000c60564d5] stackbd_io_fn_remap: HIT.r.1 kernel: debugbd [task=00000000c60564d5] debugbd_submit_bio: debugbd: make request read block 32 #pages 0 total-size 32768 kernel: stackbd [task=00000000c60564d5] stackbd_io_fn_remap: HIT.r.2 kernel: stackbd [task=0000000089abc07d] stackbd_end_io_read_cloned: HIT.1 kernel: stackbd [task=0000000089abc07d] stackbd_end_io_read_cloned: HIT.2: obio.size=32768; bio.size=0 kernel: stackbd [task=0000000089abc07d] stackbd_end_io_read_cloned: HIT.3 debugbd is the same driver, but displays information about requests for debugging.

2024.06.09 19:30 thesilverpoets96 Song of the Week: Losing Lisa

https://youtu.be/kbwSFOqzKMY?si=wPvkKCr_guICbJaJ
https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/benfolds/losinglisa.html
Hello everyone, I hope all is well. Today we are going to be taking a closer look/listen at the song “Losing Lisa” which is the seventh track from Ben’s first solo album Rockin’ the Suburbs.
There’s a couple of songs on this album, including this one, where I feel like they have hints of sounds from the 50’s/60’s despite them being written and released in the early 2000’s. The song starts with this harpsichord sounding keyboard playing a bright G major chord. This intro is cut off with a drum hit and then Ben switching to a normal piano and vocals.
Lyrically, this is song is about the unraveling of a relationship between the character Ben is singing from and his partner named Lisa. Ben sings “she's so sensitive, this shit just happens sometimes.” It seems like Ben is singing this song through the perspective of a typical male who’s blaming the ending of a relationship on the other person. He’s saying how she’s overly sensitive but then in the next line is saying how she’s his “everything” and how she’s his best friend. It’s maybe a little ironic how this song was the only song on that album cowritten by Ben’s at the time wife Frally Hynes.
During this first verse we get some other instruments gradually being added to the mix. First there’s some light percussion, some subtle acoustic guitars and some great bass fills which gives me Beach Boy vibes. And then lyrically, Ben does this smart move where he ends the verse with the lyric “we don't do anything we didn't do the day….” and then starts the pre chorus with the lyric “before you go, you ought to know.” This is great because the word “before” is used as a transitional word between the verse and pre chorus and it’s clever in a way you might not notice on a first listen.
The pre chorus is a nice way to slow things down before we get to the chorus. The move from the E minor chord to E flat chord is smooth and lyrically we have Ben’s character pleading to Lisa that he didn’t mean to hurt her which is a human cliche as old as time. As we move into the chorus we get the drums and piano ramping up in energy on the D major chord to give us the push we need for the chorus.
For me, the chorus is the hook of this song. It’s all fairly simple but it’s so goddamn catchy no matter how many times I hear it. The chorus has such a breezy flow to it as Ben’s singing about heartache with the lyric “black tears are falling down her face and I am wrong.” I’ve always interpreted the black tears being mascara running down Lisa’s face as she is crying. And even though this character understands he’s in the wrong, he’s still complaining that Lisa won’t tell him what he did that was wrong. Maybe the most devastating line is when Ben sings “she’s sitting here beside me then she is gone.” Even though she physically there with him, mentally she’s already checked out. The chorus ends with Ben’s catchy harmonies as he sings “black tears are falling, falling.”
The second verse begins with full instrumentation which adds nice dynamics to the song. This time around, Ben’s character is reminiscing of a time where things were simpler with Lisa and himself. He speaks of loving times when they were laughing and things were simpler. But now she’s no longer happy and he no longer feels anything. And in the pre chorus, instead of the male character listening to what his partner is saying, he’s fixated on her face instead. “I am mesmerized, by tiny lines. I'm watching as the shapes are drawing slowly from her eyes.”
We get another chorus which sounds just as great as the first one. Another reason I love the pre chorus is the movement of the chords after each lyric. Ben plays a B flat, C and a D minor chord which he walks up and then back down again. It’s one element of the chorus that makes the whole song so catchy. That and some of Ben’s vocal melodies really remind me of the Beach Boys, especially the runs that move down in pitch.
After the second chorus the song brings it down in volume as we enter into the bridge. The piano and drums are more delicate as Ben sings the title of the song three times. It’s almost as if he’s finally realizing that he’s lost Lisa and he admits that “there’s nothing I can do.” And it’s right during this realization where the instruments start building up in energy to bring us to the instrumental section. I wouldn’t call it a solo necessarily as none of the instruments really play a full on solo (although Ben does play some tasty licks). Instead we actually get a lot of space where the instruments can breathe. My favorite parts is when you can hear the electric guitars play a couple of old timey strums.
Then the song ends on an outro which a different variation of chords than the chorus. Ben sings “black tears are falling, falling” as he also provides his own backing vocals singing “ahh.” It’s a great little jam section that eventually ends on a B flat/F chord and some tambourine action.
When it comes to this album, this is one of my favorite underrated songs from it. It’s not as flashy as the title track, nor does it have the beauty of a song like “Carrying Cathy.” But it’s just one of those songs that flows effortless and can stuck in your head in a non annoying way. It’s fun to single along to and easy to follow; it’s basically a song where a relationship falls apart because one person is not only ignorant to the signs, but also does nothing to solve any of the problems. It’s a song that was played live on most nights on Ben’s What Matters Most tour. I was ecstatic to hear it and I think Ben’s backing band plus Talk Heights made this song better than it would have been with just Ben and his piano.
But what do you think about this song? Is it an underrated song from Rockin’ the Suburbs? What do you think the song is about? Favorite lyrical or musical moments? And did you ever catch it live?

2024.06.09 19:30 thesilverpoets96 Song of the Week: Escape is at Hand for the Travellin’ Man

https://youtu.be/TK6XQ1_L6To?si=ZGfN8fEZOeSnPShi
https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/tragicallyhip/escapeisathandforthetravellinman.html
Hello everyone, I hope all is well. Today we are going to be taking a closer listen/look at the penultimate track from Phantom Power titled “Escape is at Hand for the Travellin’ Man.”
“Escape…” is a fan favorite song from the band. It was voted to be included on the band’s Yer Favorites album, it was also voted as the song fans wanted to hear live the most in 2004 and it was the first song that the band practiced before their final tour in 2016. And the song itself has a pretty rich history.
The song was written for Jim Ellison, the lead singer and guitarist for the Chicago, Illinois band Material Issue. Unfortunately, on June 20th, 1996, Jim committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning. This song lyrically, as we will break down, describes the short relationship that Gord had with Jim as well as how Gord grieved over his loss.
But before we dive into the lyrics, we have to talk about the music of this track because the music plays for a full minute before Gord’s vocals come in. Imagine if the outro jam for “The Last of the Unplucked Gems” went on for almost six minutes. That’s close to what we get with this song. Johnny’s drum beat is slightly faster than the Road Apples closing track, not super fast but enough to get your head nodding along. You also have the star of the show (in my opinion) Mr. Gord Sinclair with his phenomenal bass playing. He’s playing these chords in a picking pattern very high up on the neck of his bass. He plays it in a very hypnotic way and does a ton of variations like slides as well and moving all around the fret board. To me, it’s what drives the song and recently he made a short video describing how he came up with the bassline. You can check it out here:
https://youtube.com/shorts/vnMabjQTRtA?si=lOexR5kZarikBcHs
So while you have this extremely tight groove between Sinclair and Johnny, Paul is playing these counter melodies/riffs to the song’s grooving bassline. And then you have Rob who’s playing one of his most interesting guitar parts. Throughout most of the song, Rob is playing these little atmospheric guitar parts that include slides, hammer ons, pull offs and harmonics. But to make this sound even more interesting he set up a delay unit for his guitar with different speeds. This creates different sound with the different speeds every three seconds or so. It’s how his guitar sounds so dreamy on this song.
Once Gord starts singing, the first thing I notice is his vocal delivery. He sings this song in a typical Gord way that is just unique enough that it takes a couple of listens to be able to sing along with him on the verses. He starts off the song with the lyric “it was our third time in New York, it was your fourth time in New York. We were fifth and sixth on the bill.” Although I couldn’t find the exact history, we are to assume that this lyric dives into the history of the Hip playing a show/festival with Jim and his band Material Issue. This may have even been the first time that each band had met each other. It would make sense that the Hip would be fifth or sixth on the bill since they never broke out in the states. I also want to point out the clever way that Gord counts up with the lyrics “third, fourth, fifth, sixth.”
Gord sings about talking to Jim about each other bands as well as their “future plans.” But then he makes it a point that they are not “best” friends. They’ve only met briefly during some sort of music festival and it’s hard to be someone’s best friend in that short amount of time. And right before the band transitions into the chorus, you can barely hear Gord say “why, what did we do?”
The band transitions until the chorus which still keeps that somewhat laid back sound, this time with different chords and Paul being a bit more deliberate with his picking. Gord sings “that number scheme comes back to me. In times beyond our heartbeat.” I think the “number scheme” could be that “third, fourth, fifth, sixth” lyrics that he sings throughout the first verse. And the heartbeat lyric is something he’ll return to later on that we’ll talk about then. Vocally, Gord sings the chorus in a more straightforward way and it’s extremely catchy with Paul’s backing harmonies.
The band goes back into the vibe heavy verse jam with those atmospheric guitar notes from Rob still playing. In this verse, Gord sings about hanging around to the last band performing at this festival and this band happens to be called Escape Is At Hand For The Travelling Man. Of course it’s a fake band name Gord came up with, but oh man is it so good. He also makes up different songs that this band plays such as “Lonely From Rock And Roll”, “They Checked Out An Hour Ago” and “They Checked Out An Hour Ago.” All fantastic names and the last name could have a double meaning behind someone choosing to end their live.
In the second chorus we get Gord singing “those melodies come back to me. At times beyond our heartbeat.” I love this lyric because as I get older, I’ll hear a song and even a specific melody, and it’ll transport me to the first time I ever heard it. Music is the closest thing we have to a time machine right now.
After the second chorus get into the bridge section which sees the guitar take a more typical approach by strumming chords. This gives this section a bit more intensity than the rest of the song and makes it soar instead of drone (in a good way). Gord’s vocals become a bit more lively and passionate as he sings “I guess I'm too slow” which to me is him acknowledging that he was too slow to reconnect with Jim while he had the chance. He sings “you said any time of the day was fine. You said any time of the night was also fine” which is probably what Jim told him when they first met and exchanged numbers. With Paul’s backing vocals this bridge is extremely emotional and hits hard when you understand the context.
In the third verse Gord sings about trying to reach Jim but getting no answer on the seventh floor of the hotel. Gord does a phenomenal job at painting pictures, like of pigeons weighing down a telephone wire or the elevator giving out a low moan which adds to the bitterness of this song. He even sings about a chambermaid singing along to the fake song “They Checked Out An Hour Ago.” At the end of the verse he sings “I kind of chucked” in a similar way that he sung/talked the last line of the first verse.
After a final chorus and additional bridge, the band goes back into the intro/verse jam. But as Gord continues to sing “our heartbeat” (which to me could be about how fragile human life is) we can hear Johnny’s drumming becoming heavier and starts driving the song even more than the bass is. This leads to a euphoric vocal delivery from Gord with the amazing lyric “long conversation or idle chit chat. Maybe dive in or maybe hang back.” It doesn’t matter if it’s a deep conversation or if it’s just casual talk, it’s important to talk and connect to the people you love while you have the chance. And the way Gord sings this lyric really seals the deal. After the building of that last lyric the band quietly but quickly dissolves to end the song in a fitting way.
This song means a lot to a lot of people because of its rich lyrics, its emotional depth and its stunning music. It’s no wonder why it’s a fan favorite and was the band’s 20th most played song live. Before we close out this discussion I would like to post a story that a fan had of this song when it came to a particular live performance;
“Gord said during a live performance of this song on May 11, 2007, that Material Issue had driven through the night in their van to get to this concert in NY. After the show, one of the guys in the band was too sick to sleep in their van, and they had no accommodations. Gord said he and Paul offered the guy their hotel room, he accepted, and that was the last time they ever saw any of them. Material Issue checked out the next morning before saying goodbye to The Hip.”
But what do you think of this fan favorite? Is it one of the band’s best songs? What does the song mean to you? What are your favorite lyrical or musical moments? And did you ever catch it live?

2024.06.09 19:17 yessism [Long Post - Career Advice] Full Time In House Mid Tier Company or Rotational Program With Big Companies?

Hi everyone,
I (international student living in Canada), just graduated with a bachelor in Marketing last May, and now in a very tough decision between 2 career opportunities that I’d like to listen to your inputs.
A bit about me: Right after graduating from Marketing major, I started working as a Performance marketer (Google/FB) in a small local marketing agency (< 10 head counts). My clients are also small local businesses. So I learn a lot about performance marketing (Self-learning honestly) and small agency operation from my current work. After a year of working here (and got a raised from $50 to $60k), I feel the need to explore further career opportunities, maybe learning from bigger and more established organizations. I like the creative sides of marketing, but I am actually better and tend to enjoy looking at the data and numbers a bit more. My ultimate career goal though, is to build some sort of business (Agency, B2C, B2B etc) for my own.
First opportunity: After 4 months of applying (Feb till May), I finally got an offer. It’s a marketing coordinator position (But the title is marketing specialist) for a B2C E-learning company with $70k/year salary.
Since it’s still a new job opportunity, I decided to take the job right away. NOW HERE'S THE CURVE BALL
🤯 One day right after I signed the contract, a (somewhat) new opportunity arises.
Second opportunity: In February 2024, I applied for a rotational marketing program and got in. The program stated that the start date is July 1st. However, after that congratulations email in Feb, from Feb till May, even though I reached out via email 2-3 times, they did not respond back to me regarding the program next steps or any details. Hence, I decided to continue my life as if the opportunity didn’t exist.
Righttttt after I signed the contract with the first opportunity, guess what, the rotational program got back to me last Friday, Jun 7, stating that the program will start on July 1st.
About this program: The program will allow me to work as intern (even though the title is “specialist”) at 3 different companies in 1 year (Each company I will work for 4 months).
Overall, the second opportunity is a great opportunity if it had not been for the timing now. I am really contemplating between the 2 opportunities, and I would love to listen to your thoughts!
Thank you so much in advance

2024.06.09 19:04 _difficult_lemon_ Pain Shopping

Until my (35f) breakup with my partner (39m) of 5 years and some odd months I’d only ever been on Reddit when Google kicked me over here. Since the breakup (March 31st of this year) and since our last contact (a very short phone call that ended with me hanging up on April 8th) I’ve been on here pretty much every day. I wouldn’t call it “lurking” per se, more like desperately searching for a post that could be my ex writing under a different username than the one I know about. I am aware of how fucking insane that sounds and all I have to say about it is that it is what it is and grief manifests itself in all kinds of crazy ways. I try not to judge people based off whatever they felt they needed to do in that moment to survive whatever it was they were going through. Regardless, I’ve seen the phrase “pain shopping” or “shopping for pain” being thrown around here and there in reference to checking an ex’s social media and I liked it. Probably because I do it frequently. I don’t know if I am a masochist or if I just hate myself or what but I am apparently always in desperate need of some kind of fodder to make myself feel even worse. I should mention the breakup was not good, it was pretty fucking terrible. I don’t know if he still loved me in the end but to this day I still love him. But he was right when he said we weren’t good for each other, that this wasn’t going to work. I can’t forgive him for some of the things he did, mostly because they are unforgivable and not because I don’t want to forgive him. And while I do not speak for other people as a rule of thumb, I would guess that it’s the same for him about me. Plus the repercussions of the break up had real world consequences for me in regards to housing, relocation, finances, etc. But back to the point, I went pain shopping and I fucking found the mother load. He has an online dating profile. There is no picture, no location, just his name and his age and a username that was a dead giveaway it’s him (it’s his oldest daughters nickname which is kinda weird for a couple different reasons one of them being that she doesn’t speak to him, hasn’t for years and has no desire to). I found it because he started following the dating sites IG account so he clearly wasn’t trying to hide it. Funny thing is that his Fb still says “in a relationship” with our anniversary date and he still has a TikTok of us that we made last summer up on his page. Both of our families know that we broke up just because of how the breakup went down and the aftermath of it so idk why he hasn’t changed that shit but thinks it’s ok to go make a dating profile. Idk. I’m just pissed and upset and I only had myself to blame and I have no one to really talk to about it so I thought i’d talk to strangers on the internet. I am sure that this will also end well for me (haha). Sorry for the long post, was just trying to provide enough vague context.

2024.06.09 19:03 Expensive-Ad-2760 Thoughts on this seller

Hi! Would like to ask if this seller is a scam or legit. Offering iPhone installments and asking me for a down payment online. Provided me with a picture and video with my name on it with the unit that I was eyeing. Was asking her if I can personally pick up the unit but she insisted that they only offer door to door delivery because they cannot accomodate pick up from her house because their “store” is still under renovation and they don’t allow pick ups during sale. She also provided me a DTI certificate and even gave me her ID but when I searched for the store name at the DTI site, no results came up.
Here’s the store fb link: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555833090484&mibextid=LQQJ4d
Thanks for the help!

2024.06.09 19:01 ExpertAverage1911 Who do you personally believe she will copy next?

I suspect that once both Wicked films have released, Ariana is going to go from "frail eudite white woman" back to her "light skinned baddie" bullshit. She saw some of her greatest success and popularity at this time (because a lot of people have no idea she's white and playing stereotypes and BIPOC artists were writing her singles from behind the scenes).
I think she is going to ripoff a new artist named Tyla. She's everything Ariana covets - both cute and sexy, charismatic, vocally skilled and an incredible dancer. Tyla sings live over backing tracks, no lip synching. She has a lot of writing credits on her first full length album.
Tyla is also very feminine without forcing it and she wears a lot of 90s/early 2000s style while making it her own. I recommend her songs Water and ART if you'd like to support an extremely talented young artist.
Who do you feel AG will be gunning for next?

2024.06.09 18:56 ojct123 Red flags or overthinking?

I found odd that he has this keyring, sees this everyday, yet couldn't really remember the name, then when he left for work he said again "you're gunna have a great time tomorrow jealous I can't come." This all felt a bit unusual to me, like he was trying to reverse psychology me into going, either way I had other plans so didn't go.

2024.06.09 18:43 almasalvaje Can you keep our Facebook and/or Instagram profile if you delete all posts and photos?

Hi all, Due to Meta's recent AI bs, I have decided to move over to Pixelfed and MeWe and leave the frigging Metaverse. The whole decision has given me immense joy. I hate Facebook, Instagram and Messenger. I haven't used FB actively since 2018 and IG since 2019 (maybe a post a year until 2022).
I was planning on deleting the profiles alltogether, and use a single dummy account (That I already have, no posts, no profile photo) for group notifications.
But my main Facebook has 10 years of international travel friends on it. Many of which I have no other contact info for, other than FB and IG. So I wondered if an alternative could be to just delete every photo and photo album from Facebook and Instagram, (Instagram feeds can be exported to Pixelfed) and leave them to die, but with the option for people to at least find my new profiles (links to MeWe etc. in bios). Or deactivate the profiles without photos/posts, but leave Messenger, or deactivate Messenger but leave a dead Facebook profile (if that's even possible).
But I don't know what the implications of that would be privacy wise vs deleting completely?
I could have the apps on a separate old smartphone that just stays at home (that's what I already do for main FB, IG and SnapChat.) Or just log in from Tor every other year.
Grateful for any thoughts or ideas:)

2024.06.09 18:16 Kekktye A Sourced History of My Chemical Romance's Lost Songs Rediscovered Nine Volt Heart Info

This is a repost with new info, corrections and better formatting. Thanks for previous contributions! <3
I've seen quite a few "All lost My Chemical Romance songs" and "My Chemical Romance rarities" posts, but they mostly all either:
A: Conflate "Lost" with "Rare" or "Not studio-produced" B: Aren't Sourced C: Incomplete D: Have disinfo E: Mistakenly include working titles for later released tracks as "lost"
So, here we go! I've gotten most of my info from a few archives and long-time fans in the community but I would love to hear any additions you have to add! The more eyes the better!
For clarity: Bullets = I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love Revenge = Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge LOTMS = Life on the Murder Scene TBP = The Black Parade TBPID = The Black Parade Is Dead! DD = Danger Days CW = Conventional Weapons TPK = The Paper Kingdom MDNSY = May Death Never Stop You
Tracks are listed in supposed creation order, then by discovery or release Nine Volt Heart aka Android [..?] - Song title found in now-lost Flash player elements of My Chemical Romance's official site going back to at least 5/25/2002. According to a 2011 text interview by Cassie The Venomous with Gerard and Mikey, the song was played once live at NJ's Loop Lounge to bad reactions from the band and poor fanfare and as a result shelved from future releases. Later possibly reworked into an unreleased song named "'Android...' something?". Though according to a 2004 post by SpaceyRaygun, a long-time friend of the band, Nine Volt Heart was instead reworked onto a Revenge track. Fandom rumors going back to at least 5/3/2006 claim Nine Volt Heart was a cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' song Bodies albeit with slightly different lyrics. Although the poster's source songmeanings.net has since taken down the potentially false lyrics page.
The Attic Demos aka Dreams \of/about]) Stabbing and/or Being Stabbed - A CD Distributed at early shows and among the band's circle. Later partially released on 2014's MDNSY, though these demos circulated the fandom pre-2014 from these promotional CDs.
Wish You Away aka Drowning Lessons Rough Mix - If community sources are to be believed (1) (2) (3) (4)) (5) a variant of The Attic Demos distributed among friends and family of the band contains recordings of 'Vampires Will Never Hurt You' titled "Stabbing" and 'Drowning Lessons' titled "Wish You Away" (Pre-release titles corroborated by the early instances of My Chemical Romance's website).
Stabbing aka Vampires Will Never Hurt You Demo - Found as of July 23rd, 2022. Demo released via Instagram from for Bullet's 20th anniversary. This CD was given to Nada Recording in 2002 prior to their recording of Bullets. Clip is partially cut off and downloaded through Instagram API.
Early Sunsets Over Monroeville Demo - An Attic Demo found by SpaceyRaygun with an Early Sunsets Over Monroeville recording not included on MDNSY. Included in notable bootlegs such as Self-titled MP3 Collection released 2010. ~Fake demo debunked by (Friend of Matt Pelissier) and SpaceyRaygun (The track's original source).
Sister to Sleep - One of the earliest songs written for Revenge, revealed in a 2003 interview as conceptualized for The Freddy vs. Jason Soundtrack before licensing fell through. It was re-conceptualized around The Sandman series of comics, where sleep is anthropomorphized as the titular Sandman, and his sister as Death. In its released form, the lyrics explore sleep as an analogy for death and themes of insomnia and institutionalization. Ultimately, the track was cut from release by producer Howard Benson. Two live recordings (1) (2) of this song have circulated the fandom for a number of years, with one found more recently all from the same show played in NYC's the Knitting Factory on 6/26/2003. On 10/17/2022, it was played once more in Inglewood during the RETURN Tour, albeit slightly different lyrics. Later, Frank spoke on a 2023 interview about using live footage for practice, likely explaining the difference in lyrics. In 2013 the band had stated in an interview potentially none of the members still possessed a copy of Sister to Sleep's demo recording (A claim still supported by Frank in a 2022 interview) except possibly for a soundcheck library recording Mikey was given from the Knitting Factory show. With renewed interest in the song, Matt Pelissier was asked via Twitter about the track. If community sources \1]) \2]) are to be believed, a Twitter user "Martin" asked Gerard the whereabouts and existing number of these demos, Gerard would share that they lost the only existing copy moving from coast to coast a number of years ago. Martin then asked Matt about the demos to corroborate Gerard's story, which prompted Matt to reveal more info. Matt claimed he was given an additional copy of Sister to Sleep, as were all of the band members, their studio and their label. Fans supposedly questioned his demo's legitimacy. (1) (2) (3) Matt then posted three 15 second clips of the track to his Instagram. These clips were DMCA claimed by Warner and Matt was threatened with potential legal action if he continued copyright violations. However, fans downloaded these clips before they were taken down. (1) (2) Afterwards, Matt was asked via text conversations by his Revenir bandmate u/dansplayslol11 after hearing the track if he still intended on leaking it. Matt explained that he didn't intend on releasing them being content as the apparent sole owner of the demo.
Manhattan Demos aka A-Demos - In 2013 the band had stated in an interview Sister to Sleep's studio recording existed on the "Manhattan Demos" or "A-Demos" as Ray called them that also contained demo material later released on LOTMS. Screenshots of other production tracklists around this time have also been leaked and released by several sources including Revenge producer Howard Benson. (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6)
I'm Not Okay (I Promise) Demo - A 1 minute 4 second Clip of an I'm Not Okay demo uploaded by the YouTube channel AJ Serna in 2012 which contains the line "And never mind the drugs you took" instead of Revenge's release version "The photographs your boyfriend took" with notably worse recording quality. This lyric was likely remnants from when the song served as the conclusion to the album with a spoken word outro by Daryl Palumbo \Of Glassjaw, Head Automatica] and is more in-line with) early production takes of the song.
Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Instrumentals - Instrumental versions of all 13 original Revenge tracks can be heard as backing tracks for the duration of LOTMS. Never released as a stand-alone instrumental promotional album unlike TBP.
Someone Out There Loves You - Released as a live performance on the official TBPID DVD as Track 30 with a live video. Unofficially titled 'Stay' by fans before its official title was revealed by Gerard on Twitter. Frank revealed in an interview with The Music that the song had a studio demo but "lyrical reservations" prevented its release.
MCRBlog 09' Demos - Throughout 2009, the band would post an occasional series titled 'Practice Cam' where they'd take photos and videos of whiteboards containing song titles. Fans like Cassie the Venomous were able to decipher some of these titles, and later corroborate them with at-the-time newly released live performances. (What was initially titled 'Siren Song' as a live performance eventually released as 'AMBULANCE', ect.) However, some of these teased titles never received accompanying live material. These include:
"Still Alive" \Also detailed in) this interview.\) "Teenage Girl" "Pretty [..?]" "Monster Jam" \This could be in reference to the video game 'Monster Jam: Masters of Mayhem' of which 'I'm Not Ok)' appeared as an in-game track).\)
Hell Hath No Fury - This track was apparently credited to My Chemical Romance (1) (2) for 2012's The Man With The Iron Fists but never appeared on the movie's soundtrack. It's theorized this track midway through the film is a snippet of the track.
The Paper Kingdom - Proceeding DD's touring cycle, the My Chemical Romance began work on their 5th studio record before scrapping the album due to burnout, depression and unhealthy habits. (1) (2) Some of this material was likely posted by a user named Excalibur and sold for $10k+ on the leaked music website Leaked.cx in late September 2022. Snippets of these tracks with added auditory watermarks were provided by the leaker for legitimacy from tracks with the filenames "Dark Cloud", "Witch" and "Wake Up!". However, these clips were taken down by Warner both on leaked.cx and on other sites' reposts, likely validating the leak's legitimacy. One track recognized by Warner's automatic content ID system was entitled "Paper Swords" by My Chemical Romance.
The Foundations of Decay Sessions - According to comments by Excalibur made under leaked.cxs TPK leak, they also possessed demo sessions for the My Chemical Romance's 2022 release The Foundations of Decay. It was unclear whether these sessions were also purchased and vaulted alongside TPK's leak by the same or another buyer.
... These aren't exactly "lost", only \notable]) live performances with no evidence of official or studio variants: FYI, any of these songs can be heard with a simple YouTube or Internet Archive search \if I don't already link a primary or secondary source here.)
Everybody Tie Your Shoe - Stage banter on TBP's 2007 tour. Released on the 'Fans of Compilations' bootleg album in 2008.
The Drugs - A scrapped song played live sometime during 2009 during the Summer Sonic Festival. Later never released alongside the other CW-era singles or later DD material. Released as a live track on 'Still Chemical Dependency' bootleg album in 2009.
Everybody Hates the Eagles aka Kill Em' All aka DD Jam Session - A DD-era Jam Session repurposed for the My Chemical Romance's 2022-2023 tour and given lyrics with a variety of concluding lines rhyming or spinning on the phrase "Everybody Hates the Eagles". (1) (2) (3) (4)
... These aren't in any sense "lost". Some just aren't on streaming services, just obscure or with no official release: FYI, any of these songs can be heard with a simple YouTube or Internet Archive search \if I don't already link a primary or secondary source here.)
Jack the Ripper (cover) - Live cover of Morrissey's song released on the EP Like Phantoms, Forever in 2002 including live banter, then later released as a cut-down version on the Thank You for the Venom 7" in 2004. Give Em' Hell, Kid Alt. Version - An alternate version of Give Em' Hell, Kid from iTunes.
Under Pressure (cover) - Cover of Queen and David Bowie's song as a collaboration with The Used made for release as a single and a bonus track for The Used's 2004 release 'In Love and Death'.

Zero Percent - Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys Japanese bonus track.
Sing Single - Radio edit and instrumental single of Sing released in 2010.
The Mad Gear and Missile Kid EP - Collection of songs written during DD's production (Black Dragon Fighting Society being written before DD), intended to be My Chemical Romance's in-universe proxy. Released with DD's 2010 box set and released digitally for the first time in 2022.

Planetary (GO!) Remixes - Planetary (GO!) single remixes by Lags Gallows & Vasquez/Gorman released in 2011.
Common People (cover) - Cover of Pulp's song for BBC Radio 1, Released on the 2011 The Only Hope For Me Is You EP.
Every Snowflake is Different (Just Like You) - A track made for the show Yo' Gabba Gabba in 2011. Made alongside a music video featured on the show. Notably similar to S/C/A/E/C/O/W and preformed live by My Chemical Romance on tour the same year.

Fake Your Death - The first track on May Death Never Stop You and released as a single. Theorized as originally made for TPK. Aside: I hear his VERY widely talked about as a fact, butthe main article citedis mistakenly referencing Gerard's solo work. As likely as this rumor is, there is no evidence.
Black Parade / Living with Ghosts - Black Parade's 10-year anniversary release including a variety of TBP demos both scrapped and reworked onto the 2006 release.
Welcome to the Black Parade (Steve Aoki 10th Anniversary Remix) - Remix of Welcome to the Black Parade by Steve Aoki for TBP's 10th Anniversary.
... Specific thanks to u/mj2000p, u/Tongara, u/danplayslol11, SpaceyRaygun and Party in the affiliated My Chemical Romance Discord for previous edits. To see the edits check out my original post.
Please do not harass or beg band members or those affiliated with the band for unreleased material. Archival efforts are important but many of these songs fall under copyright and/or hold great personal value. Be respectful in reaching out to potential leads.
If anyone has better sources, anything else to correct or add I'd love to add to what I have and will credit.
Thanks for all the help! <3 Happy 20 years to Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge! :3

2024.06.09 18:13 HorrorBrother713 "Conspirators," from a concept album

Yes, for about twenty years, I've been messing with this thing, Operation Valkyrie, about the 20July plot to assassinate Hitler. Long time? Hell, yeah, a long time. The demo of the album was written on paper (all riffs and lyrics written on a month-long road trip) and recorded on CakeWalk Home Studio 2002. Some time later, once I got a little money, I bought ProTools 7 LE, it was my goal to make this thing sound GOOD. So. Enough preamble, yeah?
This is CONSPIRATORS
LYRICS:
Developing plans to topple a man Who misled a people and betrayed a land Conspiracy men wait for a when A moment to strike the wolf inside his den
They need something bold, a mind that is cold They welcome the Soldier into the fold He plots out his game driven by shame So all of the future will not curse his name
Here is the plan I promised you It's called Valkyrie Combats insurgents and rebellion Shows them all our strength, you see If anything should happen in a Land we've occupied If we should lose communications, What if all your leaders died? We set Valkyrie in motion should the SS fall It will work in any country Any country at all
