I am talking about the initial repentance when you first become a Christian.
Jesus commanded everyone to repent, Mark 1:

15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

If people cannot repent, Jesus would not have commanded everyone to repent.
Acts 17:

30b [God] commands all people everywhere to repent.

God wants everyone to repent, 2 Peter 3:

9b he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

1 Timothy 2:

4 [God] desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

However, people choose not to repent, Revelation 2:

Do we choose to repent?
Yes, we choose to repent and not to repent. If we can only choose not to repent, then it is not a choice.
Now, there is a spiritual warfare going on, 2 Timothy 2:

25b God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

There is a bit of controversy about this, but I see the original Greek as a potential subjunctive: God may or may not grant them repentance.

Does God choose to grant repentance?
Yes, God grants repentance to some and not to others.
Yes, people choose to repent or not to repent.

In conclusion, this honestly all seems really scammy and predatory. A friend told me they are promising visa’s and college credit to foreign workers/ students, I don’t know if they are actually going through with it, but if they aren’t it is extremely messed up and all of these people should be black listed.
As an aside i found this comment in another post about radicalx and thought it was good advice to keep this in mind

I had an appointment today and I went out like I normally do. Capri’s, a band tee, hair down. I’m only 6mo on HRT and though there are changes, they aren’t that big. I know it takes time.
Well, I go to check in and the lady behind the desk doesn’t really look up as she puts me in.
She turns around to ask her co-worker where they moved some button and said, “I need to get /he billing info…”.
I was shocked and in the middle of processing that I was gendered correctly for the very first time in public, she looked up at me and it was immediate. Her eyes widened and she started to apologize over and over.
All I could do was say, “It’s okay hun.” But I’m kind of being hit by the realization that, sure, I’m a lot more fem than I was. But I’m still not recognized as a woman.
I know my own self view is the most important, but it still hurts so much.
I’ve tried to brush it off since then but when I walked past my bathroom mirror and glanced at myself, I broke. Just kind of been crying a lot and I wanna dress up and doll myself up as much as I can but that’s a terrible way to cope.
I don’t even really want to post because I don’t wanna bring anyone down, but I really need to get it out.

In August 2023 I agreed to be primary on a car loan for my boyfriend of 3 years because his car broke down and he needed a vehicle for work, and his credit wasn't good enough to qualify on his own.
On the vehicle purchasing paperwork it says we both own the car. I am the primary borrower, he is the co-borrower.
We have since broken up, and it was messy. I will provide context as I don't know if we would be considered common law in Colorado and whether that affects things. We were together for 4 years. He cheated on me, and she was his gf a week later. I had stopped working full time 6 months prior to help care for his son and 2 godchildren, who we had temp custody of. I wasn't able to move out right away and he seemed okay with me saving money for a few months to move out... until he wasn't. He became more verbally aggressive, blocked access to the internet so I couldn't work, cancelled my car insurance even though I was halfway into a 2 week driving test to qualify for new car insurance, cancelled my phone line. He threatened to evict me (he couldn't do this because it was his parents house) multiple times because he felt like I wasn't trying hard enough to find another job. I eventually was able to save up enough to move out.
Last month, he was arrested for domestic violence against his new gf, he tried to kill himself that same night. It turns out he was heavily abusing his ADHD medication and alcohol, as well as other drugs like cocaine and hiding it from everyone for over a year, at least. He admitted to me that he stole ADHD medication from me. I had medication go missing in 2022 and 2023 but I could not confirm it was him. I even messaged his therapist and she was unable to give him a UA because he was also on ADHD medication and so the drug test wouldn't prove he was taking my medication. I plan on filing a police report, but I want to get the car loan situation sorted out because I'm worried about retaliation on his end. The police told me I don't need to file the report right away and that I can wait.
I continue to get notifications when he is late with his payments. He also has an EZ Pass and if he doesn't make the payments on those, the letters get sent to me in my name because I am primary. I called EZ Pass and they said if it doesn't get paid then it could prevent car registration.
When I email him and ask him where he is at on requesting the loan be taken out of my name and put into his, he says he's working on it but won't give me any other information or any sort of timeline. My credit score went down 50 points with the vehicle loan. I was luckily able to move into a private residence that did not require me to do a credit check, but I might need to move again and I will likely struggle to find an apartment with my current credit score.
The last email I sent, I told him if we can't figure it out we can get a mediator but it would be at his expense. He hasn't responded.
The current loan is approximately $30k. Payments are around $600/mo.
Questions
Are there ways I can get off of the loan that do not require him to have good enough credit to qualify?
Can I repo the car? What does that look like?
Does he have to be in agreement with my decisions?
I don't even know if I'm asking the right questions. I am lost in this situation but really need to buck up and get educated on what I can and can't do. He is someone who makes threats and I think what he did to me after we broke up would be considered emotional and financial abuse. I am definitely concerned about retaliation, and so I need to understand what am able to do so I can make the best decision.

So as the title states I am from India. What comes to your mind about an Indian student? Extremely smart, High iq but boring right? I was the smartest guy in my zone(similar to tri-state area) and was also one of the most popular guys. I have a tested IQ of 156, I have more medals than the total students in my class, and more merit certificates than arguably any other student on the planet. Sports, Oration, Quizzes, debates, singing you name it.
But, tragedy stuck and I started having back t back problems. Asthma, inflated appednix, Fracture, testicular torsion and even a slight cancer scare. As expected my studies dipped. Now, one thing I never really did was enjoy my life. I never go out with friends(barely have any) and my spare time is spent on video games.
Now that my studies have dipped, I have to take admission in a private college that is famous for being too strict with students.Guess what my parents say? Tough it up and go study, no need to enjoy life. They have planned an entire life for me. Studies till 24, marriage by 25. If I resist, I will be the taint on the family name. I have no will to live, my parents vision includes huge success in my life and money, but, surprise surprise, no happiness. Will the pain ever end?

We stayed in a property named A Home In The Centre Of Athens, in Athens last weekend and made two bookings 1 night & 2 nights for the same trip. We checked in and spent the 1st night there. I’m the morning we found faeces and a huge wee stain on the carpet and it looked a few days old. We immediately took photos and evacuated the property and contacted the owner. They denied it and told us they had inspected the apartment before we arrived and they do not allow dogs. They asked for the photos but it’s impossible to upload photos onto the message platform so we contacted booking.com to ask for a refund. Booking.com rejected the refund as the owner says they do not allow dogs and didn’t see any faeces before we checked in. I spent almost 4 hours and 4 phone calls with different call centre customer service employees and only received unhelpful replies. They cannot refund because the case is now closed. The owner says there can’t be faeces in the flat and doesn’t allow pets. I kept saying we have the photos to prove it and we cannot upload them anywhere so please send us an email to send them to booking.com. It took over 3 days to finally get an email address to send the photos to. I assume they have seen the photos now and we have been offered £25 into our account to keep us happy. The booking totalled to £135 for 3 nights. We left on morning 1. I have now left a very descriptive review and uploaded the photos on the review. What else can I do to help booking.com understand that this is worthy of a full refund. Or am I asking too much of them?

A genie appears to you and says it’s always wanted to make a blockbuster film. It’s made a separate bargain with a studio guaranteeing distribution and marketing, has a famous director locked in, a composer to do the score, and all the production crew and equipment lined up. But it needs a subject.
You have to pick a specific person, living or dead, and a specific two hours from that person’s life.
The genie’s magic cameras and mics can capture anything that person could have seen or heard during the two hours, so if they’re standing somewhere the cameras can capture a full 360° view around them, including them in the shot or not as desired, but your film subject won’t be aware of any equipment and nothing will interfere with the events that occurred. I just used the Bank of England's inflation calculator. The job I had in 2017 was earning me £22,500, if that job had kept up with inflation I'd be earning £28,958.57 in manufacturing. That's a pretty good wage, nice! I obviously don't work there anymore, but I have a mate who works there still and they're earning a whopping £23,500! 7 years later as of May 2024. I myself am only earning around £24,000 in a different place but similar job.
Then I got a bit more curious. I went and looked at our median household income per year and it shocked me to see wages have barely shifted over the past 20 years
Gave me a bit of insight to say the least. But learning that in order to keep up with inflation this year according to this, I would need to have a £920 pay rise or a £1379 pay rise in order to keep up with inflation and the average current pay growth. But considering the last time I recieved a pay rise was 2021 where I managed to got a whole 20p per hour pay rise, I doubt that's gonna happen.
Got me thinking maybe other people have it better than me and my friends. Maybe I can find out where to go to get treated like a human being. Or maybe you're all suffering the same. I'm struggling to find the statistics per industry per year so I figured I'd ask.

I am a PTA with 10 years of experience. I work at a military hospital. I have a co-worker who is an unlicensed tech. In the military they can do tx's. This tech has a pt who had an ACL repair. I belive he is about 6 weeks out. Anyway, this pt is struggling a little with his ROM. Our tech cranks on this guys knee until the point he is screaming in pain and begging him to stop. I overheard this pt today tell the tech not to touch him and he did it anyway. I understand some pts need pushed but I feel like as soon as a patient says don't touch me then you have to respect that. At the end of the day it's his knee. Would you all just ignore it or should I say something? I don't know that I have ever seen someone put in so much pain during a tx. To add the cherry on top the tech kinda belittles this guy. I feel bad for him. It's a military setting so I think sometimes pur soldiers just think that they have no recourse.

I am excited about wuthering waves...been waiting for two years but one thing that is bothering me is the timing of everything...like server launch around the globe is at one time...so the asian or eu people will most probably be sleeping or something like that.
I wish they would try to accommodate the launch timings according to the different timezones and not just the NA timezone. Rn other regions are kinda being neglected. Same problem with the co-op server in pgr where it opens in the middle of the night for the most of us. Well it's just a rant...I am genuinely excited about the game...I guess I can say that watching the tech test of this game was my introduction to arpg gacha games and I can't wait to play it...that's why I am worried about being asleep when the game launches lol😭

I have a friend who I've known since my early elementary school days. They have always had a unique character to them and as a child I thought they were eccentric and wild. We had different homerooms for a few years so we drifted apart until our early teens. At that stage, they revealed to me that they self harmed and they were suicidal. As teenagers, I supported them in as many ways that I knew I could and they told teachers and saw counsellors and got diagnosis after diagnosis. Not only were they reluctant to stay consistent with therapy and medication but they also had a strained relationship with their parents. Towards the latter years of high school and the early years of college, things seemed to be ok. They moved away for college and had a circle of friends and were on regular doses of medication and sought out mental health services semi-regularly, they had an independent education plan that accommodated them in school. Despite things running on track in their life, they still struggled quite a bit socially and had a lot of needs that roommates and friends could not meet. They often got triggered in conversation and struggled to pick up everyday life skills like cooking and cleaning after themselves. It all went downhill when the college circle of friends left for their own sake. My friends and I (the high school friends) lived in a different city but we often kept in touch with them through a group chat. At one point, I brought up the possibility of them having undiagnosed autism because it might help them understand their needs especially if they get overwhelmed easily. I highly encouraged getting a diagnosis to be sure but it seemed to have sent them into a TikTok self-diagnosis spiral and from there they insisted they get overstimulated by everything and that we (their family and friends) need to accomodate them for that. It was difficult to navigate the middle ground of setting your own boundaries of bearing their weight but being sympathetic to their difficulty of getting by day to day. I put myself in therapy to cope with it all and my therapist helped a lot with setting my own boundaries.
The last straw for me was last summer; they decided to cut the use of weed cold turkey and we were surprised but proud of this stride for self-improvement. However, within a few weeks, things started to get really weird. They were mumbling to themselves and recalling strange memories, they revealed to us they no longer felt suicidal and wanted to better themselves and said they think they identify as trans. We did our best to listen and respect their new revelations by changing our language to their new pronouns. But the "memory recall" was getting weirder, some memories were one I shared with them and I can factually say that they are not the same ones I have (for example, we went our for ice cream and I remember having a calm conversation with them on a bench and then I departed towards the subway and they remember having ice cream and their old college friends coming to assault us). It seemed like these memories also had a lot to do with their trans identity, they recalled high school teachers knowing about their trans identity (even though this was not apparent to anyone let alone themselves in high school) and abusing them for it, they worried that we (their friends) were going to be harmed by family and co-workers by association with a trans person. We tried to reason with them, that they maybe projecting their fears onto the memories they seem to recall, that there are picture proofs of some memories that don't line up with what they recall but they were insistent. My friends and I have began to distance ourselves because it really began to affect us. Eventually, they got so paranoid they decided to turn themselves into the police insisting they were guilty of something. The police asked some questions and concluded they did nothing wrong and brought them to a hospital where they were kept their for observation for only 2 weeks before letting them go. I don't keep in contact with them directly but I check in through another friend who is more stable and well equiped to keep in touch and through their parents. Supposedly, they were working with a case worker after being released from the hospital but in a recent conversation with their parents it seems like they don't speak to anyone including the parents or leave the house.
They've tried therapy, medication, multiple mental health hotlines, in-patient care and possibly more that I can no longer recall. I'm at my wits end and their parents are struggling to even take care of them while they themselves are aging. It seems like no one has the capacity to help them and it feels so hopeless to hear they're slowly withering away. Where do you even go from here?

Lamar County has a population of roughly 65,000. Only about 3,000 people turned up to vote on this issue, and it very narrowly did not pass. VERY narrowly did not pass. People did not know about it!
They tried to bilk the taxpayers for million of dollars, primarily homeowners who pay property taxes. What for? To build new schools, they say. But good luck trying to find information about this. Our local failures of media outlets provided extremely vague and minimal coverage of this.
Do you think it is fair to propose a vote on millions of dollars of tax payer money being spent on schools (they claim) and to host that vote in the school gymnasiums? Doesn't that seem like a biased location to you? And does that seem like an easily accessible location for all people living in Lamar County to travel to to cast a vote? Something STINKS!

My workplace offers a few different HSA-eligible plans, but I am concerned since I would be 100% responsible for my healthcare visits until I hit a $3,500 deductible. Which I am likely not to hit assuming no medical emergencies befall me this year. Out of pocket max for this plan is $6,500. (which I read is actually under the amount indicated necessary for HSA, but it says it's eligible ¯\_🗿_/¯). After I hit deductible, I would be responsible for 10% of my services until MOP.
Anywho, I am concerned about this being too much of a burden financially - but also am not offered a 401K so I need to start thinking about retirement savings. I'm 34 years old, individual, with no major health issues, but potential needs for things like breast/colon cancer screenings, orthopedic maintenance from past surgeries, etc.
It's hard to reason with paying full price for my health services and also be paying for health insurance (??) but also seems to be the "cost" of starting an HSA. Curious what the community thinks on this! My enrollment deadline is tomorrow, and my elections currently are with the co-pay/EPO plan, but getting cold feet thinking I should maybe switch over? Whats the lesser of two evils!? Send hlep!

Wondering what an appropriate co-parenting divorced relationship should look like between my boyfriend and his ex wife who has untreated BPD. They share an adult daughter in college. Him and I have been together almost two years and she and him have a history of over 25 years.
Without getting into it too much, I feel as though he assumes a caregiver role for his ex because she's so dysfunctional and he’s become a caregiver to her through the years of trauma. They've been separated 5 years and just started the process of a divorce. (It’s taken so long to start because they wanted to wait until their daughter was out of the house and away from the drama)
He says he keeps things so amicable with her because she makes him look bad to his daughter if she doesn't get everything she wants beck and call and he's also scared she'll make the divorce nasty if he doesn't keep her happy. Does he even have control over this? I feel like she’s manipulating him and will drag out the divorce even longer.
The caretaking I see includes dropping everything to take care of their dog if she needs, paying all bills without her ever having to look at anything, arranging all travel plans for the family when they go on trips or even when she goes on a solo trip with their daughter, dealing with medical invoices since they share health insurance still, just pretty much doing everything for her that I believe she is perfectly capable of doing herself-just doesn't want to because she's used to having him do everything.
Their relationship also makes me uncomfortable in that she feels abandoned and ignored by him if he doesn’t see her for dinner every couple weeks, gets upset if he doesn’t immidiately respond or pick up the phone etc. She sends him memes on instagram and sends him links to clothings brands and says “you should buy all your clothes here”. It just makes me uncomfortable and upset and he has no backbone and just has so keep her happy so she doesn’t split and I’m tired of him being a spineless caretaker to his ex!
Is there anyway I can get through to him to realize this? Will he ever accept and be able to realize this?
I'm just wondering: What I can fairly ask him to set boundaries with her on considering they had a 20 year marriage and share a child together? I don't expect him to hate her or cut her out of his life since they do share a child.

I have a quick question in regards to summer visits. We are co-parenting my stepson and his mom, who lives out of state, is supposed to have him for the majority of summer. She finally gave us the dates, June 25th to August 16th, but hasn't gotten plane tickets yet and is waiting on her taxes she says. (Note about two months ago she said the IRS mailed her a letter about her taxes and said it'd take 60 days; no idea what it's about, she won't tell us). My question is when is the appropriate time to tell her if she doesn't have tickets by this date then she needs to better plan for next time? Last time she did this was Thanksgiving and her current partner's parents bought the tickets less than a week before, which at that point we kept asking her if she had gotten the tickets and she completely ignored our texts and calls until they got the tickets, so we thought stepson wasn't going.
I know we need to get a lawyer involved, which fiance plans to after summer, he wants to see how summer goes; he's been afraid of loosing custody since the state she lives in is a mom state and has been trying to place nice with her. The only reason we have him now is because she was homeless for a bit couch surfing, and it still took a lot to get him; she turned off stepson's phone for two months. There's also more but we've been trying to obtain legal documents and have everything in place before we serve her.
