It may be sort of situational, but I think it’s useful in more maps than people give it credit for. Even just getting it near the entrance to a map can make it pretty good
Overrated: Middle path tack shooter
I’m not too sure if people actually like this thing, but I think they do?? Anyway I’ve always just found it annoying to use and not very good, though it is very cheap so I guess there’s that

Underrated: Middle path mortar
It’s super effective even if you hate microing (which I do), works incredibly well on loops. I may be biased because I’m working on glacial trail chimps though lmao
Overrated: middle path sub
Every time I’ve used it the missile just feels like it doesn’t do much idk
Magic
Underrated: Top path Druid
Tier 5 is very expensive, but the ball lightning is super powerful, and even freezes bloons
Overrated: Bottom path Druid
It just never feels like it affects the Druid much, even with 5

Underrated: middle path farm
Apparently people don’t like this?? It makes more money than a marketplace in the long-term, requires minimal microing, and is extremely good with Benjamin’s bank hack. I only go up to tier 3 though

I like using it, but I find that I’m often disappointed by it’s performance, unless it’s tier 5, but that’s often way too expensive

Wanted to share my top 5 recommendation list. Having lived here for about 30 years, here are the best spots to visit, whether you're traveling or a local. I've included a range of options from cheap eats to fine dining.
  1. Chef Tally's - I've binge eaten at least 50+ jamaican restaurants, and while this isn't your typical traditional jamaican spot, this is hands down one of my favorite places in south Florida. I dream about the chicken here. It's always a candidate for my "what should I eat this weekend" thoughts.
  2. Mila Sunday Brunch - $95 for all you can eat cinco jota jamon iberico, black caviar, and a ton of other creatively prepared dishes. I've had a few of the other brunchs in south florida, like edge, novikov, etc. but this one gets the thumbs up because they actually have more unique spreads and appetizers. Pro tip, they have a cheese wheel pasta and mojito station outside. Did I mention the price includes unlimited champagne and rose?
  3. Palacio de los Jugos - this is a staple of south florida cuisine. I might get some flack for having this on my list, but amongst all the cuban and latin spots I've been to across Hialeah and Miami, I always find myself back here grabbing a meal for like $7 and juice for $3!
  4. Stubborn Seed - I haven't gone since they've gotten their Michelin Star, but I used to frequent this place. What sets the tasting menu at stubborn seed apart in my opinion is the almagamation of dish pacing, food sourcing/creativity, and lineup of ingredients. I don't think there's a singular dish that really sets this restaurant apart from the rest of the modern fine dining options, but more so a extremely well presented and curated dining experience.
  5. Anita Gelato. This spot recently opened in Aventura coming from NYC. It's not a super traditional italian/argentiniam gelato, but the flavor combinations are the best I've ever had. And it's not too sweet. My favorite ice cream/froyo/gelato spot amongst the hundreds I've been to in SoFlo.
Honorable mention goes to Kaeru Sushi for bringing great quality japanese food for an affordable price.* A little extra. South Florida has EXCELLENT latin american food(peruvian, argentinian, columbian, etc.), mediterranean, israeli/jewish delis, italian, caribbean, and much more. I highly recommend checking out any of the above cuisines. DM me if you'd like any specific recommendations.

I finally replaced the catch on my OG Wooden Wardrobe!!!!!!!!!
This is the catch from Lowe's. One side has a screw in it, the left side is just super glued to the top of the wardrobe.
This is the Our Generation Wooden Wardrobe. I love mine, I recommend this alllll the time to people, I think it's fantastic. However, as it is Our Generation, some parts of the wardrobe are a bit cheap. The wardrobe uses plastic catch and release "hardware", and the other catches on my wardrobe are fine. However, this catch for the door went out a while ago, so the door would never stay fully closed, always poking out a little, or swinging wide open if you had to carry or move the cabinet around. It was incredibly annoying.
So, about 3 or 4 years ago, I resolved that I would buy a catch at the hardware store and replace it. Then many years passed, until a few weeks ago when I moved into an apartment and started regularly visiting the hardware store for other things. I looked at the magnetic catches they had and decided to get one and try to replace the plastic catch. These magnetic catches aren't super expensive if you're just getting one, I think this one was 2 or 3 dollars, however if you were going to replace every catch in the cabinet it would start to get expensive. I looked for smaller catches but I couldn't find any in the hardware store, they may have smaller ones online.
While installing this catch, I decided not to drill any new holes. Not like I couldn't, I own a drill and maybe I would have figured out what size of drill bit to use and such. However 1) The wood is so thin that I fear the second you drill you'll just pop right out on the other side. Not always what you want. 2) Again, finding the right drill bit to make a hole that the Our Generation screws can go into was going to be incredibly difficult.
So, the first step I did was to remove the plastic catch inside the unit and screw the new one in. I used all the same screws from this cabinet. I also took out the table tray that is held with ribbon and hinges a while ago, so that gave me some extra screws to work with as well, in addition to the ones that held the old catch. Photo 2 is how everything turned out. I put the screw on the right side of the catch, into the same hole that had just held the plastic catch. That tightened nicely, then I had to decide what to do for the other side. I thought about drilling or trying to make some kind of screw hole, but in the end I just super glued it. Not the most formal solution but the rest of it had gone so well, so I compromised.
For the door, the metal piece that came with the hatch had a hole that fit perfectly over existing holes from the plastic catch hardware, however when I lined the holes up the metal came up above the door about 1/8", so I asked my dad to help me cut the hardware. We clamped the piece in a vice and the metal was very soft, so we were able to just use a hack saw and cut right through it. Some filing is required at the end to make sure it isn't super sharp. If I wasn't able to do that, I probably would have gone back to the hardware store to try and find something similar to suit and just not used the plate from the catch.
This is the plate that came with the catch. I had my dad cut it down with a hack saw, the metal was very soft and it was a super quick process.
Fully closed and NOT going to swing open randomly!!!
Once the super glue dried, this is how it turned out! The inside catch ended up a little farther back than I wanted it, so technically it's not super flush, you can see the shadows over that part of the door from it if you look closely, but it stays fully closed all the time now!
I currently don't plan to replace any more of the catches right now, but if they do go out I know exactly what I'll do!

I like hearing about how people got into programming. Let's go down the memory lane and share our stories. I'll go first.
I don't think I've spent a day without looking at a monitor since I was 8. I was always fascinated with computers and I was constantly sick when I was a kid. I'd get frequent shots and I was terrified of needles (as all kids are). And my dad found a way to make me less grumpy about that, we didn't have internet back then and my dad would buy me a PC game everytime I got a shot.
When I was 11 or so, I discovered visual basic 6, it was all the hype back then, all the cool kids were making silly little apps with it. I made some simple calculators and stuff, and when I was like 13 I made a phishing app for a game I played. I was more interested in seeing how many people I can fool with it, rather than the accounts I steal. I made it look super genuine with my Photoshop skills and posted it on a forum. Within a month or so I had 1500 accounts in my email. I logged in and looked around but never stole anything or change any passwords, as I said, I was more interested in the process rather than the result.
After that I got into hacking, I ran some google dorks and defaced some vulnerable websites. Actually it was more like leaving a warning note on the homepage rather than defacement, I'd say something like "your website is vulnerable, fix it asap" and stuff.
Thankfully that phase didn't last very long and I finally realized I like building websites more than breaking them and found an amazing (for its time) PHP tutorial. Then came html and css, along with some interest in photoshop and logo design. Fast forward 10 years and I'm still making websites and still loving every minute of it.

To preface one thing - this is in Singapore, I am half singaporean and half thai, I have no close friends or family members around here, but I study here.
So after many years of dating and many quite one sided and manipulative relationships with guys and after 3 months of being single I finally got into relationship with my GF. First time trying lesbian dynamic. I felt it would be very different, she would understand me more and was less demanding of me and of course less physical and simply more harmonious, since, you know it's a fellow woman.
I was also taking it slow and we had like dozen dates before getting entangled officially couple months ago. She is quite lovely and well educated, slightly older than me, somewhat exotic looking around here and it felt we are becming good friends.
When we finally hooked up she had to guide me a lot because it's indeed quite different dynamic than with a guy but that was fine, I guess and she seemed to even enjoyed and would joke about how I was lesbian virgin and she can shape me to be suited for her. Which I thought at the time was cute.
Long story short I recently finally moved in with her and that was a mistake. I've been at her place most of the time we would hang out because my place was really tiny. Right after I moved in I was just in a span of week introduced to basically a laundry list of chores I should do and at the time I thought alright we pull this together right, but we didn't. After next couple weeks I realised (for the first time ever) that I am doing the same chores I would be doing for my former boyfriends and I started to feel, yet again, more as a maid with benefits. This time I had courage to voice that to my GF and she would apologise and be all sweet about how she didn't realise and that would coo me for another week, but no changes would actually happen. Only now I think it's been manipulative.
Since I am a university student and a "gym bunny" I have less free time than one would expect and suddenly it was filled mostly by coming home doing chores before going to gym and then coming from gym and my GF would be still up and then she would be demanding for attention, mostly in bedroom. This is when I've also noticed that while guiding me in bedroom she never seemed eager to pleasure me in return unless I would specifically ask and so for days I tried not to ask and suddenly it was super one sided bedroom stuff and she seemed perfectly fine with that. That stung because it immedaitelly reminded me of my last 3 boyfriends where it was the same.
I held a lot of this in, trying to keep being disciplined and do all she'd like me to do and chores and everything more and better in hopes of her seeing more value in me. But it simply didn't happen, not over course of two plus weeks.
Well this weekend I was using her ipad, where she always logged off out of all social and communication apps when she wasn't using. I always thought it's a like... internet safety thing in case the device gets hacked or something. But this time her whatsapp and wechat was logged in and I simply discovered that while I am at school and she's "working" from home she's hooking up at least once a week with guys. Or at least mostly with guys I wasn't in the mood to read into too much detail, seeing texts of your presumeably loved sending very intimite and heartfelt texts to guys and reacting to their D pics and sending stuff back... I felt betrayed but so far I haven't said anything and the routine contiues to my own detrement.
From doing gymnastics on higher level for 10+ years I'm used to some discipline and manners that would now be probably consider abuse, but what I learnt from that was to be quiet a lot not to cause conflict and please people. Despite my previous relationships with guys being basically abusive it was eventually always them to dump me, I never had the guts to do it yet (not counting middle school lol). This time I recognize the problem and I would like to end things but at the same time I moved too soon (in hindsight) and have nowhere to go at the moment.
And so for weeks I felt like maid and for 4-5 days now I feel more like bang maid who's also stupid and naive and I couldn't contemplate a good .. like escape plan, that's why I am making this post. In the meanwhile I continue the same old routine unable to almost meet my GF's eyes, yet she seem strangely not noticing any change and looking quite happy. On top of that you probably can guess how I feel being at school, knowing there's a decent change she's out hooking up. It just all crushing my selfesteem yet I feel stuck in the routine and my head.
TLDR: GF is cheating, doesn't know I know, because I am scared to confront her since I have nowhere to go if I'd move out.

Although it will soon be 16 years since its publication, the story of Final Crisis: Superman Beyond continues to be a source of misinformation and controversy. Whether due to Grant Morrison's particular way of telling stories, whether due to his strongly metaphorical writing or simply poor reading comprehension (something that seems to abound among comic book readers), there are many elements that are still a matter of debate about the same.
For these reasons, I decided to make this article, where I will try to resolve the most frequently asked questions about this story, and above all, clarify the power of the Thought Robot.
Without further ado, let's start by explaining the context and then what interests everyone.
1) WHAT HAPPENS IN FINAL CRISIS: SUPERMAN BEYOND?:
Superman Beyond is, above all, a story about the concept of stories and the role of superheroes in them in the DC universe. For those who haven't read it, I'm going to do a super quick summary: during the Final Crisis, Lois falls seriously ill and is admitted to the Metropolis hospital. Then Superman is visited by Zillo Valla, one of the monitors, who offers him the chance to save her wife in exchange for helping her save the multiverse.
Zillo has also recruited other Supermans from different universes with similar promises, including Overman, Captain Adam, Shazam from Earth-4, and Ultraman from the antimatter universe. Zillo's ship is attacked and ends up crashing into Limbo. There, Superman and Shazam find an infinite book that reveals the origin story of the monitors and about the enemy they face, known as Mandrakk, the dark monitor.
When Mandrakk's forces attack Limbo, Captain Adam manages to contact the Monitor-Mind, and uses that knowledge to merge the consciousnesses of Superman and Ultraman, which ascend to a higher dimension (the sphere of the monitors) and activate the Thought Robot, a weapon created to combat Mandrakk. There, Superman is greeted by Monitor Weeja Dell, and the Monitors' true nature is revealed as parasites that feed on the Bleed.
Mandrakk was banished for forcing them to confront this fact. Finally, Mandrakk appears and kills Zillo Valla, but Superman manages to defeat him by expelling him into the Overvoid. Superman carves words into a tomb and takes a vial of refined Bleed with him before returning to Limbo, where he and the other Supermans destroy Mandrakk's army. Lois is saved from her when Superman transfers the Bleed extract to her with a kiss.
Ultimately, Ultraman is turned into a vampire by Rox Ogama, Mandrakk's disciple, who swears revenge, and it is revealed that the words Superman carved into the tomb were "To be continued...", in reference to the cyclical nature of Ultraman's history. superhero comics.
2) ABOUT THE NAME "COSMIC ARMOR":
Before continuing with the explanations, it is important that we clarify that, contrary to popular belief, the robot used to fight Mandrakk is not called "Cosmic Armor". "Cosmic Armor" is an adjective that Mandrakk uses to refer as a mockery to this robot in two moments of the fight (which are actually the same, only one is a flashforward), but this is not a real title, nor much less is it called that.

And the truth is that the name of the machine is... well it has no official name. At no point in the comic is he assigned a specific name. The closest is when, on two occasions, two characters refer to it as a "Thought Robot" or a "Thought Robot": once by Captain Adam and once by Weeja Dell.

And that's basically what it is: a living weapon with a body of pure thought, created to combat the ultimate enemy. So the most correct name to refer to the entity is Thought Robot, and not "Cosmic Armor", since it is not even armor.

3) THE BOOK OF INFINITE PAGES:
One of the most controversial moments in the comic occurs when Superman and Shazam hold a book with infinite pages, and said book is later lifted by Ultraman, who claims to have read the last page. This makes many wonder if it is a legitimate feat, since it implies that Superman and Shazam have infinite strength and that Ultraman is stronger than both of them combined. The reality of the feat is much more complex.

The context behind the book is that this is a literal plot device that, symbolizing the infinite monkey theorem (Merryman makes the reference), retroactively contains every possible book in the DC universe. The infinite pages of the book occupy the same physical space (so the mass is ambiguous), due to which Superman and Shazam could not read it and tried to take it to Zillo Valla's ship.

They fail, and instead, the book reveals the existence of the Monitor-Mind and the history of the Monitors, causing Shazam to have a premonition with the key to defeating Mandrakk. Which means that, of the infinite stories in the book, Superman and Shazam only access one, the original story about the same story concept. Now, many say that the book cannot be infinite because Ultraman moves it and claims that it has an end. This is wrong.

Ultraman can see the end of the book and move it because the book is, as we have already said, a literal representation of all the DC stories, and Mandrakk was destroying those same stories and moving towards the multiverse. That's why Ultraman says that "evil wins in the end." The meaning behind this symbolism is that superhero stories are infinitely cyclical and these can only end if evil defeats good, which would make the book stop being infinite as there are no more stories.

In short, the feat is legitimate, but only because the book was no longer infinite as Mandrakk destroyed the stories he tells. We'll talk about Mandrakk's plot manipulation below. Breathe easy Superman nerfers, you no longer need to continue inventing far-fetched excuses to nerf the character you hate.
4) HOW BIG IS THE THOUGHT ROBOT?:
This issue has been highly debated over the years due to the lack of reading comprehension of many readers, ranging from people who claim that it is only 6 meters tall because it is a little bigger than the monitors to those who say it is bigger than the entire omniverse (?). To understand the reality about the size of the Thought Robot, it is essential to first know its history.
The Monitor-Mind sent a probe to examine a"glitch" (which was, in fact, the stories concept) within itself, and said probe would eventually split into two halves, one of which would become a Thought Robot, at the same time the fault was sealed behind it with divine metals, giving rise to the orrery of worlds. The sphere and civilization of the monitors was formed around said structure.

In this place we can see how this Thought Robot has a size similar to that of the planetarium (and in passing "billions of worlds" are mentioned, denying that there are only 52 universes), which is consistent with that shown in the flashbacks. The famous scene that many believe is the Though Robot "lifting" a galaxy with a fingernail (it's not actually lifting anything) is, in fact, Limbo, which looks this small when viewed from this sphere.

Zillo Valla herself explains that mere nanomachines of the monitors are already gigantic war machines from the perspective of the realms below their sphere, including the sphere of the gods. So yes, the robot is bigger than universes and multiverses... simply because in the sphere of the monitors, everything that is on a human scale is already bigger than universes and multiverses.
5) HOW POWERFUL IS THE THOUGHT ROBOT?:
With the above, one could make the mistake of thinking that Mandrakk and the Thought Robot are only powerful because of their size relative to the planes lower than these, but nothing could be further from the truth. A casual attack from Mandrakk was enough to instantly kill Zillo Valla in the monitor sphere, and the Thought Robot withstood many attacks like that.

He also shook the entire sphere of monitors with his mere activation, which surrounds and is larger than the sphere of the gods, the planetarium of worlds and all the multiverses of these plus his bleedspace combined. He also devastated Nil in her clash against Mandrakk, city of the monitors, and cornerstone of the multiverse or even "a multiverse of multiverses", which also occupies an appreciable part of the sphere. (If you know a little about DC cosmology, I think there is no need on my part to explain his power level with the above.)

6) WHAT ARE THE SKILLS OF THE THOUGHT ROBOT?:
One of the great ironies of the Superman Beyond story is that Mandrakk is unaware that he is Dax Novu and Thought Robot one of his original halves until the end of himself. For this reason, they both possess similar powers and abilities. On the part of the Thought Robot, it showed a very powerful reactive evolution that allows it to instantly adapt to any threat, so that the stronger Mandrakk became, the stronger he also became.

He also demonstrated the ability to break the fourth wall, extending his hand to directly touch the reader (the original comic included 3D glasses to do the effect), denoting a certain superiority with respect to conventional DC narrative. He also possesses transdualism, being activated by the contradictory essences of Superman and Ultraman (Captain Adam himself states that there are no dualities, only symmetries).

By the words of Captain Adam himself, Superman now shares (or even surpasses) his understanding of reality, which implies a high level of cosmic senses that translate into what was already mentioned above. Grant Morrison also considers that both this being and Mandrakk possess conceptual manipulation, respectively embodying various contradictory concepts such as good and evil, black and white, is and is not, etc.

It is also well served with resistance: it is a body of pure thought, so the manipulation of matter, soul or reality would be ineffective against it. A very common confusion that I regularly see is seeing people confuse Dax Novu with Rox Ogama. I don't blame them, since they both call themselves "Mandrakk" and are physically very similar. The problem with this confusion is that it leads many people to draw wrong conclusions about the character's power level and spread misinformation under the well-worn pretext of consistency. However, they are not the same character.
The first thing to know is that "Mandrakk" is the title by which the dark monitor is known, but it is not the real name of either of the two. The Mandrakk we talk about in this article is Dax Novu, who was the first monitor to assume the title; The Mandrakk who appears at the end of Superman Beyond and Final Crisis is Rox Ogama, who assumes the title after Dax Novu's apparent death following his battle with the Thought Robot.

Technically this is not a "version" of Superman, as the events of Superman Beyond occur within the main Post Crisis continuity. Rather than a version, it would be more appropriate to classify this being as a "mecha".
All those technicalities aside, yes, this is by far the most powerful Superman. By Captain Adam's indirect admission, he cannot even compare to this being, and Captain Adam is already one of the most powerful Supermans in the multiverse. Strange Visitor at most scales above Mister Mxyzptlk, and Prime-Superman (often incorrectly called "One Million") showed nothing remotely similar.

2024.05.15 10:42 Late-Let-4221 My (21F) GF (28F) is cheating on me but I am stuck living at her place. What would be a right course of action?

To preface one thing - this is in Singapore, I am half singaporean and half thai, I have no close friends or family members around here, but I study here.
So after many years of dating and many quite one sided and manipulative relationships with guys and after 3 months of being single I finally got into relationship with my GF. First time trying lesbian dynamic. I felt it would be very different, she would understand me more and was less demanding of me and of course less physical and simply more harmonious, since, you know it's a fellow woman.
I was also taking it slow and we had like dozen dates before getting entangled officially couple months ago. She is quite lovely and well educated, slightly older than me, somewhat exotic looking around here and it felt we are becming good friends.
When we finally hooked up she had to guide me a lot because it's indeed quite different dynamic than with a guy but that was fine, I guess and she seemed to even enjoyed and would joke about how I was lesbian virgin and she can shape me to be suited for her. Which I thought at the time was cute.
Long story short I recently finally moved in with her and that was a mistake. I've been at her place most of the time we would hang out because my place was really tiny. Right after I moved in I was just in a span of week introduced to basically a laundry list of chores I should do and at the time I thought alright we pull this together right, but we didn't. After next couple weeks I realised (for the first time ever) that I am doing the same chores I would be doing for my former boyfriends and I started to feel, yet again, more as a maid with benefits. This time I had courage to voice that to my GF and she would apologise and be all sweet about how she didn't realise and that would coo me for another week, but no changes would actually happen. Only now I think it's been manipulative.
Since I am a university student and a "gym bunny" I have less free time than one would expect and suddenly it was filled mostly by coming home doing chores before going to gym and then coming from gym and my GF would be still up and then she would be demanding for attention, mostly in bedroom. This is when I've also noticed that while guiding me in bedroom she never seemed eager to pleasure me in return unless I would specifically ask and so for days I tried not to ask and suddenly it was super one sided bedroom stuff and she seemed perfectly fine with that. That stung because it immedaitelly reminded me of my last 3 boyfriends where it was the same.
I held a lot of this in, trying to keep being disciplined and do all she'd like me to do and chores and everything more and better in hopes of her seeing more value in me. But it simply didn't happen, not over course of two plus weeks.
Well this weekend I was using her ipad, where she always logged off out of all social and communication apps when she wasn't using. I always thought it's a like... internet safety thing in case the device gets hacked or something. But this time her whatsapp and wechat was logged in and I simply discovered that while I am at school and she's "working" from home she's hooking up at least once a week with guys. Or at least mostly with guys I wasn't in the mood to read into too much detail, seeing texts of your presumeably loved sending very intimite and heartfelt texts to guys and reacting to their D pics and sending stuff back... I felt betrayed but so far I haven't said anything and the routine contiues to my own detrement.
From doing gymnastics on higher level for 10+ years I'm used to some discipline and manners that would now be probably consider abuse, but what I learnt from that was to be quiet a lot not to cause conflict and please people. Despite my previous relationships with guys being basically abusive it was eventually always them to dump me, I never had the guts to do it yet (not counting middle school lol). This time I recognize the problem and I would like to end things but at the same time I moved too soon (in hindsight) and have nowhere to go at the moment.
And so for weeks I felt like maid and for 4-5 days now I feel more like bang maid who's also stupid and naive and I couldn't contemplate a good .. like escape plan, that's why I am making this post. In the meanwhile I continue the same old routine unable to almost meet my GF's eyes, yet she seem strangely not noticing any change and looking quite happy. On top of that you probably can guess how I feel being at school, knowing there's a decent change she's out hooking up. It just all crushing my selfesteem yet I feel stuck in the routine and my head.
TLDR: GF is cheating, doesn't know I know, because I am scared to confront her since I have nowhere to go if I'd move out.

2024.05.15 10:17 data-bender108 USB heat pads - or any warming tips for winter?

I have stage 4 endo, this is generally managed at home with a hot water bottle and pain meds. Sometimes also when I'm out, but I'm looking at longer term options. I also feel the cold super easily due to weight loss, not enough calories in per day (working on this!!) and need to keep my feet and womb warm all the time to not suffer inflammation.
I'm looking into warmer housing options, including setting up a diesel heater in my van as a last resort - I have friends I can stay with, and can house sit, but my current house was too cold with a bathroom needing renovation. Just wondering if anyone has any hacks, beyond hot water bottles.
I had a friend get a USB warmed motorcycle jacket vest but it was too many amps to run from his power bank. There's some cheap womb warmers on AliExpress (I am in NZ, no Amazon) but don't want to spend money if it ends up like my friend's vest - only useful when plugged into AC or higher amp source.
I have used a smallish tens machine but find it negligible compared to heat - especially moxa stick but that's not always ideal especially in winter. Deep water aqua fit classes help for mobility, as does spa and sauna for heat. But struggling to heat myself up at other times.

2024.05.15 09:11 SirKairon My issues with the last shadow

SPOILERS FOR THE LAST SHADOW AND BASICALLY ALL OF ENDERVERSE TECHNICALLY
So i just finished TLS and I don't know how to feel. On the one hand I'm very emotional that Enderverse has ended and the stories come to an end but definitely not in this way. I'd like to preface by saying definitely not as bad as some comments I've seen but not good either.
Firstly the plot was ass, I'm sorry but the entire descolada stuff and the way it ended was poorly done imo. This kinda extends to Children of the Mind as well (definitely the weakest of the speaker series). Nest was just a whole lot of yapping with the story not going anywhere and seemed to just fill pages but these are just small qualms regarding the finale plot that i expected but did not get it fully and seemed dragged. Thought a planet was the source, find pretty early on its not, talk to birds for half the novel, get their ass whooped by humans who don't want them there, and ahhh the virus is just a bug that happened for us otherwise it's super safe idk how we missed that before which didn't even come from this planet btw and we may never know. Oh and also we have 3 new species btw how do we explain existing colonies to collaborate and share space? We don't that happens automatically just cuz Jane said so
Secondly and more importantly, had too many characters which led to problems. Speaker series and Shadows in flight left us with a lot of characters and then now OSC added 7 more grandchildren. When you have these many characters all you get is vague mentions to some of them and only a couple become main characters. I loved shadows in flight so so much and loved bean's children and their unity at the end. Sergeant being a dick first seemed fine by the end and then again he proceeds to be a dick again reaching adulthood. Character didn't seem consistent. Ender was AWOL like my god bro being damn near the shadows in flight mc and being a god at genetics takes a back seat in a big genetics problem. Then when we are introduced to the kid leguminids and only 2 are given priority and even them 2 seem to do shit on their own not working together with their cousins. Twins getting the most linear character out there. Card forgot about Ender's kids. They're still leguminids and are supposed to be smart as hell. Quara, Ela, Miro getting some lines here and there but apart from research they don't do anything. Peter and Wang-Mu were good I liked.
Lastly the detouring, inside outside bullshit. Like I get it and tolerated it during COTM but cmon it's getting too much. Very conveniently it becomes cheat code hacking and Jane is just god. If not Jane then the hive queen. But also at the same time, Outside can make a new bloody body for Miro, split ender into 3 people, CURE THE BLOODY VIRUS by just thinking about it, but cannot make a cure for Thulium. They didn't even try their very own creative mode. Wants to end detouring with this generation and then teaches it to everyone damn near and eventually they'll learn on their own.
Anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk. Liked some elements of it tho OSC does know his emotion writing but overall I considered Shadows in flight a more apt ending to it all and also to some extent COTM

Hello all and with the addition of the self selected heroes and finally being able to read their skills and test them all (besides Eren but based on his Kit I still gave him a fair rating imho) I figured what better time to put together an actual tier list for new and existing players to reference!! I will put explanations below for each hero based on tier:
Ichigo/Naruto: There are no better DPS units that also have self sustainability at this stage in the games cycle (luffy could also go in this tier although I personally don’t find his damage output as high which is what landed him in S Tier)
“S-Tier” Gojo Saturo: Crit aura buff + Self sustainable with a great exclusive weapon making him easily the best Support class unit in the game
Kokushibo: Similar to Gojo he offers a crit buff but his is permanent making him the only unit with such a passive right now! The catch is he does have to die and come back to be viable so be mindful of this. Plus his buffs get reset every wave in stages so you have to bring a healer with him if using him there.
Monkey D. Luffy: Luffy could arguably be on the main focus tier with Ichigo/Naruto and I wouldn’t blame you for putting him there! He has a 100% self heal but his damage (imo) leave a bit to be desired but not so much you drop him down as much as some other units in this list (see Sukuna in “A Tier”), reckless eligible
Son Goku: Amazing AOE damage healer with a passive self cleanse due to his super saiyan passive at 8 ⭐️ plus the damage buff from his base passive place alongside his “reckless” meta eligiblity place him firmly in S tier!
Vegito: Reckless Meta eligible, stacks single target damage buff, plus a cool crit conversion passive, can also do “fatal” damage which blocks unyielding and revive effects! great single target nuker
Shanks: Single target silencer, great damage output and exclusive weapon, increases combo rate when 16 ⭐️
Zoro: Does increased damage to Low HP targets, decreases enemy energy, great single target nuker, reckless eligible
Aizen: Blocks debuffs for entire ally team, fear inducing attacks at 8 ⭐️, AOE attacker, solid support
“A-Tier” Athena: Best pure healer, blessing + damage reduction effects, usable in all content
Jiraiya: Unuielding effect, good back row support, reckless eligible so great alongside z Zamasu, arguably best tank for early/mid game
Itachi Uchia: Great for reckless hero support with or without zamasu, pincer attack passive (for reckless units) , solid single target damage but not on the level of anyone in S tier or even some A tier damage dealers
Majin Buu: Good unit to focus biggest damage threat on enemy team due to passive (Taunt), armor breaker, reduces energy enemy by 100%
Kaidou: Healing Reduction, Stunner, Self reviver (23% only, 8 ⭐️+ only), good back line support due to high Defense
Beerus: Focus fire passive, Reckless eligible, crit buff based on either side death, great single damage dealer
Arthas: Grants revive when there are no revive hero’s, Damage reduction, high defense good back line
Eren Jaeger: Great damage output, self stacking crit buff similar to Vegito but AOE attacker, cannot recieve buffs in exchange for his 15% damage bonus is why he dropped a bit
Ryomen Sukuna: Fear and Vulnerable eligible skills, reckless eligible, HIGHLY reliant on RNG. If his passive had a higher activation rate he would’ve easily been S tier and on the higher end of it. Still a great single damage dealer for a Support type unit
“B-Tier” Sasuke Uchia: Dot Meta, great pairing for Vegeta, decent but not great single target damage when not in the right comp but high potential when used correctly!
Vegeta: Extremely similar to Sasuke with an added self cleanse due to his Super Saiyan passive (only at full rampage stacks)
Boa Hancock: Neutralizes back row and increases ally output, damage reduction, crit buff at 16 ⭐️
“C-Tier” Pain: Skill damage increases over time, healing reduction, vulnerable effect attacks
Zamasu: Zamasu is arguably the most “unique” unit in the game considering you can’t even trigger the second effect of his active skill until he’s 8 ⭐️ and even then you need 2+ reckless type hero’s to make him enter the divine state. If he wasn’t so damn conditional he could’ve easily been a B tier unit (imo)

2024.05.15 07:39 Baccalover69 This is more of a rant than anything

IMO the next COD (if it even actually happens) does not need a battleroyal. Leave the BR for MW3 and just have multiplayer and zombies (maybe a new gamemode but IDK). but the battle royal concept has gone way over stale. especially with resurge. Resurge (ranked most of the time) make me want to rip the skin off of my body. I play super aggressively with tonfas (only started yesterday bc people where just blistering me and tonfaing me) no one dies and everyone just camps and holds hands. I play slow and methodical and I get full rushed by 2-3 teams at once. I think my best placement tonight was 7th bc no one was dying all game. I have a duo but no third so we get stuck with the most god-awful teammates 90% of the time. I'll also have like 2000 damage and 2 kills or 5k damage and like 4 kills. its insane. I just dont understand. I have been on a steady drop for about 2 weeks and it all started once I got almost to diamond 2. like is the entire lobby Smurf accounts/ boosters. is there any way cod could ban people paying for those services? Im like almost 200 kills away from the ranked camo this season too. went from playing for 3-4 hours and droping 50-70 kills and assists to play for 3-hours and barely dropping 20. This isn't even mentioning the dude in my warm up matchs that killed be an by duo in 5 bullets a piece with a striker 9. that isnt even possible. no joke I died in like .2 seconds which is crazy. I spectated till death and watched him 2 hit crack a dude with the same striker. I just dont understand any more. some sort of damage increasing hack???? Skill based damage??? I just dont understand.

2024.05.15 07:35 Shaderu I’m so mad at myself

Tldr: I messed up my Honor Mode run super deep into act 2, and even though I didn’t die I couldn’t go on and deleted the save. I feel stupid and incompetent. Advice welcome, but I also just needed to rant. Apologies in advance. Also apologies if this is the wrong flair, wasn’t sure what else to use.
So I’m trying to complete my first honor mode run, and after 6 or 7 attempts where something or other went wrong in act 1 (usually accidentally agro-ing allies, missing magic items, or messing up a strategy that I should’ve done better with) , I made it extremely far into act 2. Beat all the Thorms except Ketheric, did the He-Who-Was quest, explored almost everything, started on the Gauntlet of Shar. Only, I remembered I still had to do the Thaniel quest. “Not a problem,” I thought. “I can do this before my long rest, don’t wanna waste any supplies after all.” Only, I couldn’t do it. Poor planning led to the portal being destroyed and losing Halsin forever. While the run technically was still alive, something about hearing my main character go “welp, he’s dead, guess the land is fucked now shrugs” pissed me off to no end, and I deleted the run.
I just feel like such an incompetent dummy. I’ve consistently sucked at preparation all throughout this game, barely making it out of fights sometimes because Shadowheart was able to cast Sanctuary and flee. I have so much trouble just keeping track of what my builds are supposed to even do (seriously, I can’t keep Arcane Acuity and Reverberation straight in my head for the life of me), let alone what spells I have and if they might help me going forward. I had to make a damn spreadsheet just to make sure I wouldn’t miss more important items. I feel like I can’t do anything right in this game unless someone drops a guide to explain it for me because I can’t come up with a strategy myself. Even my builds were lifted from the internet, because sometimes it feels like all I can think to do is “monkey brain like to roll damage.”
Don’t get me wrong, it’s been fun when I succeed but failing just feels so awful mentally, and my dumb pride won’t let me stop trying over and over. Anyone have any advice for a situation like this? How I can improve my strategy and balance everything without literally needing a walkthrough every step of the way? Much appreciated.
For reference, party was:
7/2 Dark Urge Half-orc Swords Bard-Vengeance Paladin. Used Boots of Stormy Clamour and Luminous Armor to deal big damage, had good control spells when I remembered to use them. Intimidation carried me outside combat.
8/1 Eldritch Knight Fighter-Warlock dip (for Hex). Again, big damage, good mobility, tanked really well.
6/3 Spore Druid/Life Cleric. Healing, tanking, Moonbeam-Sanctuary cheese. Multiple modes in combat, good utility outside.
9 Divination Wizard. Tried to collect as many spells as possible. Damage in combat was low and spell save DC wasn’t great but really started powering up mid-act 2. Had great summon spells

2024.05.15 05:45 proohetmeme [PS2] [2007?] Game where you’d run around in a bubble or hamster ball

2007 is a rough estimation, but I’ve been searching for this game for years. From what I remember you could selected different characters and it was some sort of platformer. You would walk around in either this bubble or hamster ball type contraption. I can remember there was some sort of halloween or night time level, I don’t believe it was super monkey ball. It was a kids game too.

2024.05.15 05:33 Upstairs_Music_1672 Shock tower class:primary (or military I just like the idea of it being primary.)

(this is a remake of a post I made in the past) so, the tower I will suggest is my original idea that I made so I will tell about this idea that I had made so, here I go. Please note ninja kiwi that I have remodeled it to some extent for top path so it may change this also includes the other paths. Shock tower bio: Dr monkey's invention has helped this tower use the shocks it uses to fight. Can pop purple bloons
Top path: 1-0-0 stronger shock: pops a additional layer with a +4 pierce 2-0-0 electovison:grants camo detection (3-0-0 anti-camo tek:grants camo detection to towers in range of tower. 4-0-0 super sonar:camo Bloons detected in radius will lose camo for 5 seconds until popping after that. 5-0-0 camo-be-gone:the camo Bloons will be unmatched with permanent camo removal (grants all shock towers with a permanent camo removal (when it is granted any other paths will have a camo Bloon temporarily lose it's camo when hit) .
Middle path 0-1-0 static charge:a static charge strengthens adding extra pierce . 0-2-0 static cling:every 30 seconds Bloons cling together for 3 seconds and the camo is removed;grants camo detection. 0-3-0 static cloud: static cloud appears granting shock tower a speed boost and a powerful cling that makes Bloons up to m.o.a.b stick together for 5 seconds. 0-4-0 static storm: ability static storm: the cloud splits into two strong clouds that pop Bloons and makes Bloons up to d.d.t cling together for 15 seconds. 0-5-0 bloontonium storm: the Storm gets stronger letting zomg's cling together for 10 seconds and b.a.d's clinging together for 5 seconds. Grants damage to all Bloon types.and a permanent +5 speed boost.
Bottom path: 0-0-1 greater reach: increases range by 4 0-0-2 even stronger reach: buffs attack and increases range. 0-0-3 volt whip:adds a tentacle attachment for increased attack. 0-0-4 volt assist:gives a increased range to towers in range and gives shock towers a increased attack. 0-0-5. Volt defense:elite defense grants this tower a permanent speed boost and pierce buff to all towers for elite defense for any lives lost (boosted in c.h.i.m.p.s)
