For context, I have 6 chickens (7 counting the rooster) and I hate them more than I’ve ever hated anything in my entire life. I never knew I could hate something so much but I guess I can, in all honesty, it scares me how much I despise chickens, their coop is right beside my window/room, so every morning I have to deal with them screaming for hours on stop, and on the days when they can’t go out I have to deal with their screaming for an entire day, the rooster also starts crowing at 4:00 am, and that sometimes wakes me up, and by the time I’m ready to sleep again the chickens are screaming and I’m sobbing in my bed because it’s too much for me to handle, I’ve tried talking to dad about it, but he says it’s “no big deal” because him and his gf don’t hear the chickens (it was her idea to get the chickens) they promised to move the coop to another area, but I found out the other day, that they’re putting a greenhouse at the spot they said they’d move the coop too. I’ve tried expressing my discomfort to my dad, but he always shrugs it off, the only person who sympathises with me is my stepsister because her room is also right beside the coop, and the rooster also annoys her, im just tired of crying, and literally screaming until my vocal chords hurt because I’m so overwhelmed. I’m tired of losing my voice for days on end because of this, I’m tired of being miserable everyday because of this. I’ve honestly thought of playing the same thing over and over while my dad is around so he can get a taste of what I’m going through, but I don’t wanna hurt him. Also I refuse to eat the eggs they lay, my stepmom handles the eggs and doesn’t wash them, she boils them while they have chicken poo piled on them, which is basically boiling them in poo water, she also doesn’t wash them at all, I can open the egg containers (we have about 7+ 18 count egg cartons) and they’re all filled with poopy chicken eggs, she also doesn’t check which eggs are fertilized since we got the rooster and that’s not something I wanna accidentally eat, this whole situation has deterred me from eggs and chicken entirely.

I feel like I’m losing it. My “best friend” stopped talking to me not long after I became pregnant for reasons I will never actually know. I have no other friends. I have a great support system through family but I still feel so lonely. My boyfriend and I have some good times and do love each other but have mostly spent the entire pregnancy arguing and I’ve become depressed and I cry just about every day. Neither of us feel loved by the other anymore but are staying together to try and work it out for our baby because we do want a family. We don’t have sex anymore. Hi all, Today is Wednesday. Did my first injection on Saturday evening. I’ve had little to no appetite at all since starting but these last two days I’ve literally had to FORCE myself to eat anything. The thought of all food makes me gag. I’m nauseous and gagging a lot throughout the day. Any tips to make sure I still eat and can anyone tell me if this gets better? I usually love food and enjoy food and I haven’t enjoyed a meal since Sunday.

So basically everything was good and one day i started to like having these i have a boner then i dont mid sex and i got confused well i didnt think anything about it but then it started to be like hard to like get hard when im with my partner i love her and i like her alot but idk what happened with my pp like is it all in my head or is it a real issue and how do i know?

I'm 44 F going through some skin changes (dryness and increased breakouts incl. cystic). I had struggled with acne and oily skin since I was a teen. I was using Differin for a few months recently. At first it was great, my skin never looked better. But after a couple months my skin reacted very badly to all of the skincare I was using on top of the Differin (scrubs, etc - I know, BAD). Also I believe the Differin was causing my skin to be thinner and was actually destroying my nails! I tested this by wearing gloves to apply it (and using less often), and sure enough my nails grew back and my fingertips healed. Also my lips oddly looked thinner and less plump, the skin on my eyelids was extremely dry, and my eyebrows were thinning while using Differin despite me avoiding those areas and using eye cream/lip balm. All of this horrified me so I never went back to using it. Since quitting, all of these areas have healed.
I went through a period of letting my skin heal - using minimal gentle products and no actives. At first my skin looked incredible, clear, plump, and moisturized. Then my pores started to get congested, especially on my nose. Then bad breakouts started happening. And then I went to youtube and came here looking for answers and found a lot of interesting advice. I experimented with gentle cleansers, Korean brands, etc. After lots of trial and error, here is the routine that finally is working for me.
Disclaimer: I know everyone's skin is different and tolerates different things. Mine happens to love a particular brand which seems to get a lot of criticism here - Mario Badescu. I've been a long time fan, and regret straying from them. I know they are scented, and that may cause irritation for some, but my skin loves their formulas.

THANK YOU to this community for suggesting Curology. I did not want to go to a dermatologist again (they've been hit or miss for me). It's definitely working. But to note, I was previously using some Korean skincare products along with Curology during the first month that were NOT helping. Once I cut those out and started this routine, skin completely cleared up.
Products that I believe were breaking me out/not working (I subbed all of these with the MB products):

Personal tips:
- Hormonal birth control can help minimize acne.
- Quit consuming dairy.
- Use a dedicated towel to dry your face, and change it at least once a week.
- Don't touch your face throughout the day. For me, wearing makeup actually helps this because I don't want to mess up my makeup. :)
- Don't lean your chin/jaw on your hand if you're sitting at a desk. A good dermatologist clued me in on this one, and it's definitely a bad habit for me which can cause cysts along the jawline. Any kind of pressure combined with germs can cause breakouts.
- My skin doesn't shed on its own very well, and pores get congested easily. Cleaning with a gentle SA cleanser twice a day is KEY for me. Once daily was not enough. LRP Effaclar was life-changing for me after years of using Neutrogena Acne Wash (recommended by a derm) which stripped my skin.

For the first couple of years of knowing each other, I have noticed here and there that Jennifer has been quite flirty with stevie on calls and was always pretty close with her. Stevie has known for a while that jennifer has had a crush on her and wanted to date her but has a boyfriend already so didn't want to date until she left Joe.

I was shocked about that but then she also told me that she was also thinking about "dating" me for the exact same reason so she could get me to pay for her things. I was very hurt when she told me this as I didn't think my own friend would be like that and would just use me for money.
Well a couple months go by and she didn't date me or Tom which was fine because I don't want that for me or him. Jennifer got on a call with me as Stevie got upset by Joe. She wouldn't tell me anything other than Joe isn't exactly the best boyfriend in the world as I tried to ask her why, she just wouldn't tell me. I just left it as I didn't want to pry too much into it.
A couple days later, I got on a call with stevie who told me that she doesn't really think she romantically likes men and prefers woman and I try to help her calm down as she is upset. She's really scared since she lives with him and since he's from another country, she thinks he'll have nowhere to go if she leaves. I'm more of a listener myself as I'm never really good with advice on relationships as I have only been in one and that ended pretty badly, so I just listened to her to help her feel heard and make sure she's alright, she managed to calm down.
Fast forward to about a year and slowly, I start seeing Jennifer call stevie wife and her partner online. We are artists and they draw for each other and would call eachother love/ wife/partner, just small little things like that. I just thought it was them just giving each other silly little nicknames until one day, Stevie had drawn Joe and posted it saying "here's my friend" and that moment, I clicked and thought wait a minute. Are they dating? I didn't really want to ask as I saw that stevie was still with Joe and would talk to each other and play games together still.
Well, in the next couple of months, Jennifer goes to see stevie at her house for a couple weeks to spend time together. I didn't think too much of it until they sent pictures of them hugging and being very close together, which again, I can't really say anything about as friends can be really cuddly but was a little suspicious. About a month or two passed after they saw each other and I got on a call with stevie by herself.
I worked up my courage to ask if they were dating each other, and she said wasn't it obvious? She said that they had been dating for a couple months prior to her coming over and apparently they aren't together anymore as she feels like shes more of a mom to Jennifer than a partner (like Jennifer would call her mama and stuff like that and would act a little childish) I was stunned to say the least, she even told me that she would kiss like a fish, which did make me laugh a little but at the same time, I was so concerned for Joe, since they live together?? And wasn't they together? I asked about Joe and she said oh, he doesn't really know at all and doesn't need to know since he's been logged out of the relationship awhile.
Anyway, I kept my mouth shut as I didn't wanna lose my friends (I only really have them to talk to as I'm pretty bad at making friends) and didn't speak about it to Joe (me and Joe don't really talk, it's only memes we send eachother every once in a while) I saw them keep posting art and Jennifer would still keep calling her wife and other things, so I did get in contact again with stevie to ask are they still together and she's said no, but Jennifer wants to keep up the wifey talk and still wants to be called her partner. Which made me a bit suspicious.
Now we're coming up to last year, Ive been saving up my money and stevie asked if I would like to go see stevie for once with jennifer. So me and stevie started to just make a little silly plan to and to see if Jennifer wanted to go and see stevie together, but as soon as we bought this up to Jennifer, she went extremely quiet. She started to talk and said "well I wanted to see stevie in the winter time on my own" since she didn't wanna travel twice since that's quite expensive, which I fully understand.
I messaged stevie quietly saying she hates the idea and maybe we should just forget about it and stevie said no, I want you to come along since I haven't seen you yet and Jennifer has come to see me before a couple times. So we kept slowly trying to see if she would turn her mind around and in the end she did.
We visited each other and had a wonderful time. Jennifer even gave out gifts to stevies family and even Joe (she gives him birthday gifts each year which also makes me feel bad that he doesnt know shes been dating his girlfriend).
So now we are coming up to more recently. I have noticed that stevie and Jennifer have been quite distant with me. I will always be the one reaching out to them, they'd be playing games without me a lot more and calling eachother instead of the group chat. Like we'd play games together and talk to each other a lot. Don't get me wrong, I understand that they'll probably just want to hang out together by themselves and that's completely fine, it's just so strange that we even went a whole week without talking until I reached out to them.
We started talking to each other again and stevie was talking about us all meeting up together again this year which made Jennifer, yet again really quiet and hesitant to go with me.
As we don't talk that often recently, I started asking whenever we were online about when shall we plan to see each other, but they would say they're too tired to search it up and plan.
Until one day, they started being really secretive around me about meeting up together. They planned to just see each other this year and I kinda felt a little annoyed that they had to hide it from me. Like if they wanted to meet up with just them two, that's great and I'm happy that they'll get to see each other but to just blatantly forget about the plans that we were supposed to make just kinda made me feel like I was in their way and that they really just don't wanna meet up with me again.
It does sometimes feel like Jennifer seems really annoyed that I'm hanging around them both and she just wants stevie all to herself. She always seems a little annoyed when Joe comes over on the call to give to love to stevie and kisses. But at the same time, she buys Joe gifts on his birthdays so I'm just so confused.
I just feel like Jennifer is possibly slowly trying to get rid of me and Joe to keep stevie all to herself and it makes me so angry and hurt that she would try to do this
Stevie also doesn't like cheating but still I feel so horrible knowing that she might still be seeing Jennifer behind his back, even though she pretty much cheated on him anyway.
How do I get around to telling Joe about this? I'm so nervous of the outcome and what will happen.

Hi Reddit, I (21M) and my partner (22F) have been together for about a year and a half. We had our fair share of fights over that time, but we also had many perfect memories. Maybe I should preface this also with the fact that my girlfriend recently told me that she believes she has BPD and has a history of mental health struggles.
Over our relationship, there have been many times where she's gotten extremely upset and even broken up with me over trust-related issues. We met a few summers ago and went on a couple of dates during the summer. She ultimately told me before she left to go back to school in Washington (from California) that "it's okay if we were just friends," so we continued texting super often. So, after college started, I started trying to meet other people through dating apps and whatnot, and she seemed to be having tons of fun in school, too. Anyway, she came to visit once, and we fell in love that one day, and we spent the whole day together. It was the best, so we started long-distance until she finished the semester. (this is kind of all preface for later issues) Well, the whole time we've dated, it has been very drastic swings in whether she wants to be with me. There have been many times when, within a day, it went from you're my favorite person in the whole world to her literally saying she wishes she never dated me. However, after a few days of talking, these would resolve, and it's like nothing had happened. One of the biggest things was that after she had gone back to school during the summer before we started actually dating, I had gotten back on Tinder (because, in my mind, she had very clearly said we were just friends), and I hooked up with people off there and whatnot and also met one of my best friends who even though it was off Tinder it was always highly platonic between us. After my partner and I had been dating, she would randomly start to get very upset about trust-related things like when I told her I was thinking of going to see that friend on a trip during the summer, she was at first calm and then got extremely upset and said I clearly just wanted to go date her, etc etc. this eventually led to me cutting off that friendship to help her feel more secure. This didn't really feel fair because she also is friends with someone whom she actually went on a few dates with and had planned to stay with his family on a trip over the summer too (they seem very platonic, and I wasn't at all worried but it feels hypocritical) well other stuff like that has continued to happen over time consistently, for example, she has looked through my insta and got extremely mad that I'm following girls who have posted pictures in bikinis and whatnot (one that she sent me was literally my cousin) most are just people I had met from school and I don't really know but I told her I was sorry and I can understand that it could be hurtful even though I don't really get this and so I deleted Instagram. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and randomly she texted me saying I should go date X, Y, and Z and I have no clue who shes even talking about. She said they're girls I'm following on insta (I did'nt even have insta at this time) and am "clearly cheating on her with" two I have never even talked to and had just gone to my same college, but one I had met at the beginning of college and we had texted a little through insta about getting ready for college and stuff, and I showed her all of our texts(these were also before we had started dating. Well, she said that because I still like her pictures, and I never really like many people's pictures. I'm clearly in love with her. There are lots of these types of things that happen, and as I said, after I tell her that, I understand she's hurt and apologized and stuff, it like flips a switch, and we seem good again until the moment we're not.
I really don't know what to do. I love her so insanely much, and we have the best time ever when we're together, but idk if I can handle my partner, just never being able to trust me.
Tldr; my partner often thinks im cheating on her with other girls and has broken up with me multiple times about it before the relationship goes back to normal.

When i was child and had my first computer, i was fascinated with that machine. few days later one of my friends brought gta san andreas in a pen drive and installed it on my pc. AND I PLAYED THE HELL OUT OF IT. i didnt know the control nor how to check them or change them, randomly pressing buttons to figure out how to play. fascinated by this game, i played it for hours and played the story, fascinated by cutscenes, not understanding a word i played and completed the story. i probably played it for thousands of hours. i wanted more and more games and in search of them, in downloading them i learned about the smallest intricacies of a computer, i learned of the components and hardware and i loved it. i installed and played every game that could run on my potato pc. i played games on 20 fps on lower resolutions, 800x600 was normal almost, but not complaining once, just enjoying and having fun. now i have a gaming laptop, money to buy games on steam, yet i cant enjoy games. i keep buying games, games i dreamt of playing now don't even spark a will to play in me. i have a lot of games in my library, i just quit. i still love video games and i want to play them and appreciate them. i see people play beautiful games and when i try them i just cant enjoy them for some reason. i try to appreciate but just get brain dead. if you gave what i had now to my 11 year old self, he would have rejoiced and cried for hours out of happiness and would have quit sleeping so he can play games. and its sad i want to play games and i have no will. tired of watching youtube videos all day, I'm not even watching them, they are just playing in the background while i sit dead. i feel like a spoiled child who doesn't deserve a laptop he cant appreciate. i want to enjoy and appreciate these beautiful games made through blood and sweat by people who are incredibly creative to make these games. if you have felt this before and resolved this issue then please help me. if you know of games that would change this then recommend. this state sort of changed with Witcher 3. i installed it 3 times and i was overwhelmed and each time i thought that this games wasn't for me and it was trash. i tried it again 4th time and i gave it time, ITS THE BEST GAME OR ONE OF THE BEST GAME EVER MADE, i have enjoyed that games and have hundreds of hours on it.

I started accordion this month, and I'm loving it. But, like many instruments, the body has to adjust, strengthen, and find its best position. Those or you starting out and who remember starting out, what places tended to hurt after practicing and how did things get better for you?
I've been working on the Palmer-Hughes beginner book, practice between 10-60 mins. almost every day. I try to sit on the front edge of the chair, and my chair (adjustable) is at the lowest position so that my feet are flat and my legs are 90 deg. I typically move my left leg up and down so that I can get the bellows to move the way I want. I find pushing the bellows to be tricky more often than not.
On my right side, the keyboard feels ok, but I find my shoulder rising up at times and my elbow gets cramped feeling.
Does this sound typical? I'll be talking to my teacher, too, but curious to hear from others. TIA.

TD;DR Newer relationship. Military boyfriend with a pattern of having a dog shit attitude but doesn't think he has a bad attitude. It's become exhausting trying to comfort him and calm him down when he doesn't want to help himself. Gets defensive when I try to shut down his shit talking spiral of negativity. I don't want to be the overly critical nagging girlfriend, so I want to leave while I still don't resent him. He's away for school and I want to wait until he gets back in a couple weeks. We've already talked about this issue a bunch. How to stay kind and compassionate while I wait for him to get back.
I've been with my boyfriend for only 7 months. Overall, it's pretty decent. We treat each other well, laugh a lot, have similar views on children and marriage, he's supportive, the sex is satisfying, and have had some pretty fun times together. It's been pretty drama free. He's active duty military. I am a veteran but have gone on to get my pilots license, work in aviation for a couple years, and now I'm a full time student studying software engineering. With the help of long term therapy, hobbies, and good friends, I would say I'm pretty happy in life right now. In the past though, I've suffered from not being able to regulate my emotions and having severe episodes of depression. Unfortunately, my boyfriend is not very happy in life. I try very hard to be validating, supportive, loving, and try to model healthy coping mechanisms but it's wearing on me. He has no friends. No hobbies. He hates his job. He talks poorly about other people. Everyone suck except for him. Everyone is a pussy except for him. Everything is stupid. The negativity spiral is a constant presence. And I don't like speaking poorly about other people how he does. I've gently encouraged seeking professional help because he has admitted that he might be depressed because his reactions to thing are disproportionate to whatever is triggering him. He has access to both medical and non medical mental health care. I'm exhausted from constantly validating him and trying to calm him down from the far reaching things he will start saying. He's very sensitive to criticism and gets defensive easily. I have to be very gentle with how I phrase things and avoid accusatory statements. It's really the only issue I have with him.
I did a lot of thinking and talk with my therapist and have decided that the negativity is a deal breaker for me. This negativity is exclusively work related. He doesn't treat me poorly, but I am baring the burden of his loneliness by myself. We live close to each other but He's away for a school right now.
First, I communicated that the negativity has become a constant presence, it dominates our conversations, and it's affecting my mood. I suggested that we try to find some balance together. He was cool about it.
A few days later, after he started talking poorly about other people, I set a boundary. I said that I would shut down the conversation once the it reached a certain intensity of negativity or once he started talking needlessly ill about other people. I said that if this seems like it's going to be a recurring thing, I'm going to have to assess if the relationship is healthy for me. He was cool about it.
Next, he talks about how he may have to a take a couple college classes (paid for by the military) to reach a certain goal he has. and then starts saying, "I HATE SCHOOL I HATE SCHOOL I HATE SCHOOL. IM NEVER GOING TO USE COLLEGE ALGEBRA". I said that if he goes into classes with that idea it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. We do stuff we don't want to do to reach the goal we want. I said that he is capable, and even though general education courses aren't the most fun, it's still an opportunity to learn and develop new skills. He got defensive and said that I don't need to lecture him and that he doesn't have a shit attitude just because he said "college algebra isn't useful". The selective hearing is a recurring issue.
There's been a couple other times where he was able to self correct or apologized for getting upset with me when I would ask to change the subject. Most recently, he started calling a group of people cowards and that they shouldn't be in the Army. I tried to shut down the conversation twice but he kept going. I ended up playing into it more and shared my opinion and said that what he is saying is hypocritical because he may also be a part of the group hes talking about. He didn't see what he said as talking shit about other people. I said, "You can have that opinion. Im asking you to not voice it to me anymore". He got very defensive, saying that he isn't allowed to say anything with out having the opposite opinion. That we must disagree on everything.
I explained that I actually do agree with him a lot of the time, I just don't let the shit talking spiral out od control. He went to bed without FaceTiming me that night or saying goodnight. He did say good morning to me today.
I don't want to see myself turn into the overly critical, nagging girlfriend. I realize I am trying to change him. I am trying to fix him and that's not my job. I thought If I modeled better behavior and helped me breathe and relax when he got worked up, I could love him into being a more positive person. I can't. It's exhausting. I may just have to accept that we have different outlooks on the world. As much as I love him, this completely overwhelms his positive qualities. I can't see myself problem solving or raising children with this type of person (he already has one daughter that hes missed out on raising because of the military. He's basically just a fun uncle even though he tries to go home often to see her several time a year.) Sadly, he has no one else except me here and often tells me that he loves spending time with me and I make him so happy.
How can I practice being kind and compassionate towards him while still protecting my own mental well being while I wait for him to get back so I can end the relationship? I don't think he would be responsive to me saying that im thinking of ending the relationship.

I'm looking for a sanity check - as I may have gone insane. I picked up my ADHD meds on 4/17/2024. It was a 30-day supply. My pharmacy has a 29th day early refill policy on CII medications. I believe today, May 15th is the 29th day (at least when I count each day on the calendar). However, my pharmacy has told me that today is the 28th day and that tomorrow, May 16th will be the 29th day.
Am I being a giant idiot here. Am I not understanding the policy correctly, or do I not know how to count correctly?
Note: I do not have any extra medication accumulation from early pickups (for those wondering).

Hey everybody!! The last time I posted I think I was down to 167ish and now I’m at 145!! SW: 199.9 CW: 145.0 I’m very happy with the effects overall and I’ve been having little to no nausea recently - my issue is for the past few days I’ve been having the WORST heartburn like my whole chest hurts and I’m 6 months into using Zepbound and having really experienced this before.
Wondering if something I did set this off? I know I haven’t been amazing with water recently and I did have one really carb-y meal on Mother’s Day which I’m thinking maybe set it off. Would love to hear if anyone else is experiencing something similar and what they recommend.
Also I’m hoping to get a little advice. I’ve been tracking my weight on a VeSync scale that records a bunch of data on my body etc etc and it seems like on top of losing body fat I have been losing a little muscle as well. I’m still in the “excellent” range for muscle mass but I am a bit worried about this — it’s hard for me to eat a lot of general anymore and I think I’ve already been focusing on proteins (I thought), any advice ?
Also just because I’m here already — it’s SO weird buying clothes now I have to try on every size - going from an XL to a M/S was unexpected even though I obviously knew that I was losing weight

I'm 27 and my husband is 29, and we're expecting our first baby the end of September! We've been together for a year and a half. I came from a devout Christian family, and there were quite a few of us. Sacrifice was always expected for the good of everyone, but it seemed like my dad was never involved in that (but also, i couldnt recognize the sacrifice of going to work everyday to support a community), and that my mom suffered alone. My dad was also violent for a time in my life and I've probably seen him do the dishes less than 11 times. My husband is super appreciative of the work I do in the house, and always says it, but lately, it seems like that list of requests is getting longer, and I'm giving more than I'm receiving. I know, that as a Christian, I'm called to love without counting the cost, but I'm just so scared of being in a marriage where we're isolated in our roles and there is no bridging the gap. I want things to be fair, but i dont know what that looks like for a christian marriage. I get so fearful, I forget to be appreciative of his work and little gestures of love, even if they're small.

So recently I set off to get dreamy theatre to work on my (modded) ps3 and psp. This is much harder than it sounds, especially since I couldn't get the fan made mod to work, but after a LOT of troubleshooting I finally managed to get it all set up and since I don't think there's any compiled guides out there on how to do this I figured I should write it all up for anyone else looking to try this out!
I've already clarified this in the doc, but unfortunately you will need at least a modded psp (adrenaline may work but I am assuming it wouldn't here, you'd need a modded ps vita anyway).
^^ There is an incredibly roundabout way to download the connection app legitimately if you have a ps vita (you could get it through the ps vita store, and then download it onto your psp from there but I can't even guarantee that would work and the psp doesn't work with most wifi unless you downgrade the security level on it.. it's all really complicated) but apart from that you will need to mod your psp. This is incredibly easy nowadays (https://www.pspunk.com/psp-cfw/) so don't worry about damaging your console because it's borderline impossible. The connection app is already freeware so if your concern is about legal repercussions from "piracy", this doesn't count so you can go ahead! Just covering all my bases
This guide is confirmed to be working on dreamy theatre, but I haven't tested 2nd or extend yet. Please feel free to give them both a shot so I can update the doc with compatibility notices
Hopefully it all isn't too hard to understand, I tried to phrase it as easily as I could for beginners but let me know if you have any concerns, a mistake I missed or just generally wanted to add something to the guide.
