Hi all - I was diagnosed with PCOS after going off birth control and realizing my periods were fairly irregular (30-60 days). I have no other symptoms outside of irregular periods and cysts confirmed via ultrasound and my labs have been fairly normal (normal testosterone, normal insulin, normal glucose). BMI of 21 so I am technically in the “lean PCOS” category and have been athletic/eat healthy most of my life. I also have hypothyroidism and have been taking levothyroxine to keep my TSH levels within the normal range also, my RE says the irregular periods are most likely only caused by PCOS and that the hypothyroidism is a nonfactor since my TS has been consistent.
I am not currently TTC but am planning to soon and have been wanting to understand all potential options to regulate my periods prior to trying. My RE recommended 2000 mg myo-inositol daily and 600mg n-acetylcysteine daily as a potential supplement to regulate periods, but that I would most likely need some sort of ovulation stimulant like clomid/letrozole when we are actually TTC. I wanted to ask the PCOS community if anyone has had success with these supplements? Recommended brands? These seem branded as a diabetes medication - How does this supplement actually support ovulation in women with lean PCOS?
My RE said that I most likely am not ovulating if my cycles are long especially up to 60 days, and that if we did start trying now that there is a potential that I could be ovulating but that the long cycles could mean a reduction in egg quality… more risk of miscarriage etc… I interpreted this as “wait to start trying until your cycles are closer to 30 days”… any ideas on this?

We were victims of a retaliatory eviction in Aug of 2021 after I complained to the authorities and housing is key about being harassed by my landlord for being enrolled in the covid rental relief program and paying only 25% of the rent until my lease was up. The following month of Sept 2021, the data breach gave criminals the ability to abuse my digital accounts which caused the closure of my bank accounts, and led to my vehicles, remaining assets and my business to be unmanageable and taken from me in various ways. My disabled mom and my son lived with me. My son has been with his mom fulltime since Aug 2021 and my disabled mom and I have been homeless since Aug 2021. I have not been able to recover since my family and I were attacked. Now I am stuck in a mercy house shelter that does not allow me to leave which prohibits me from being able to recover. The security at mercy house also stole a vehicle that was donated to me. My disabled mom and I have been homeless for three years. I have been in the mercy house shelter and not able to leave for two years. My disabled mother has suffered multiple life threatening injuries since we were attacked, including being vulnerable to attack from having an asthma attack and beat almost to death by a predator And being on life support and hospitalized for over a month. I have also suffered multiple life threatening injuries including four fractured ribs and skin infections from sleeping outside in the rain. My sons mother, Sylvia, At a moments notice when I was attacked, disenfranchised and no longer able to share custody of our son due to the threat of him being in danger by unknown assailants and no home for him to reside with me, Sylvia was able to immediately care for our son fulltime with no help from me, while managing her career and a new fiance since the attacks began in Aug 2021. My son is suffering psychologically considering I have worked from home since he was born and was never separated from him until the attacks when he was 9 years old. Stage breakdown

With tomorrow’s stage, the peloton will keep travelling northwards towards the Alps; unlike yesterday, however, they won’t stick to the seaside, but they will venture inland. They’re not going to be too far from the coastline- the stage will never reach 300 m above the sea level- and yet it’s not going to be an easy day! The riders will have to tackle a number of muri, short but insidiously punchy climbs. The stage will nearly entirely develop within Marche; only the first 3 kms take place in Abruzzo.
The first 50 kms will feel like a stage 11 deja-vù, as they will take place along the coastal highway. Once the race reaches Civitanova Marche, however, the course will head towards the hills and the course will get pretty rolling as the succession of muri will begin. The first couple of them are not categorized, while the third one- leading to Recanati, the beautiful hilltop town where poet Giacomo Leopardi lived- will have an intermediate sprint at the top rather than a KOM.
The riders will pass through Castelfidardo, a town known worldwide for the manufacturing of accordions… and in cycling, for an amazing 2021 Tirreno-Adriatico stage which saw Van der Poel going up 1v1 against Pogačar. The first KOM of the day, in Osimo, follows soon after; an uncategorized muro follows, and then there will be a short relief for the riders before the course picks up again, with the Monsano, Ostra and La Croce walls- the three remaining KOMs for today- coming in quick succession. Along the latter, the riders will also find the Intergiro sprint in Ripe.
The penultimate wall leading to Mondolfo ends with the remaining intermediate sprint of the day, whereas the very last climb- Monte Giove summits with 9 kms to go. The last 7 kms are flat, and the finale takes part on urban roads, with a 90° bend coming with 500 m to go.
Much of today’s stage takes place on Michele Scarponi’s training roads, and riders and commentators will undoubtedly pay homage to him. The (retroactively awarded) 2011 Giro winner, a peloton jester and a priceless domestique, beloved by fellow riders, fans and even parrots, Scarponi died when he was struck by a distracted driver whilst training on April 22, 2017.
With all this in mind, here are our predictions for tomorrow's stage:

Rider discussion

Tomorrow's stage looks like perfect terrain for a breakaway. It's a day that shouldn't have major GC implications, so the peloton might approach the stage with a relaxed attitude, but the rolling course should encourage a strong break to go clear.
Some of the names we brainstormed for the break: of course we've got Jhonatan Narváez and Maximilian Schachmann, who have been brilliant on short punchy climbs in this Giro so far; the course should also play to Julian Alaphilippe's strengths, but he's been a bit underwhelming this Giro so far. EF has plenty of riders who might have a say on a course like this (Michael Valgren, Andrea Piccolo, Georg Steinhauser), and past Brabantse Pijl winner Magnus Sheffield might enjoy this kind of course too. With Uijtdebroeks now gone, Visma riders such as Attila Valter and Jan Tratnik could also try to go on the attack tomorrow. Last but not least, young Italian climber Giulio Pellizzari hasn't quite had the breakthrough race so far, but he deserves a mention as he's local to this area so he might find himself at ease on this kind of course. If the early break is not too strong, we can see things regrouping; in that case, many of the riders above can also win from a later attack or from a reduced peloton.
We doubt that tomorrow we will have a race so hard that we'll be left with only the GC guys, but should it come to that the main favourite is yet again Tadej Pogačar, who could either power away on a climb and stay at large or win from a reduced bunch sprint. Daniel Felipe Martínez also has the potential to do well, but he'll be closely marked by his rivals. Romain Bardet should enjoy tomorrow's short, punchy climbs, but it's hard to picture him winning.
Last but not least, we're also naming Caleb Ewan as a potential winner. He doesn't really stand a chance but we wanted to honor this comment about our bad take from yesterday :p

Hi friends, I’m back with the daily dose of anxiety and pestering you guys with my questions!
I’m 35, AMH 0.86, AFC 7, in my first stim cycle. I went in for my monitoring appointment this morning (stim day 10, have completed 9 days of Follistim and 5 days of Ganirelix, also took Clomid).
Here is my progression. These are my follicles and measurements in millimeters:
•Today, stim day 10, right: 24, 18, 14, 14, 11, 11, 10
•Today, stim day 10, left: 16, 11
•Monday, stim day 8, right: 19, 15, 11, 11, 9, 8
•Monday, stim day 8, left: 13, 9
•Friday, stim day 5, right: 13, 11, 8, 7
•Friday, stim day 5, left: 9
They’re expecting the 24mm on the right to not be present once it’s showtime. They’ll let me know later what the plan is, but my nurse is guesstimating that I’ll trigger tomorrow night and retrieve Saturday (today is Wednesday).
Does anyone else have any success stories with these types of numbers? I know the nurse was trying to curb my expectations, but she said she was thinking I’d probably only have 4-5 eggs to retrieve, even with these numbers.

I (19M) grew up in a big family (I was the second oldest of seven). I had an identical twin brother who died when I was young. The rest of my family passed in a house fire a few weeks later whilst I was on a school trip, and I was left in care of my godfather.
My dad was known in our community as a great person. He'd make sure his kids (us seven) followed in his footsteps and succeeded in everything we did. My brothers were good at sports, my sisters too. They were all academically successful too. I was as well, more academically than sport related. I just excelled in different things than my siblings (I played baseball rather than football and basketball, and I was great at science and theory but everyone else was good at English and maths). It was like I was always the odd one out. There was never really any sort of disagreement and argument between us at all and we were all treated fairly equally.
That was about thirteen years ago when they passed. I was recently contacted by the university that my dad used to guest lecture at in his free time. They had an old interview in 2011 (a week or so before he passed) of my dad which he opted to participate in as some students needed it for their assignment.
I watched the video, thinking it was going to be heartwarming and such. But it was the complete opposite. During the video, he was asked if he was proud of his children's achievements. He said he was, but in terms of me, he wasn't. He was disappointed and expected so much more. He said that I should do more than what I 'enjoyed' because it wasn't good enough and it gave him a bad name. He also said that he wished it was Billy (my twin brother) who survived that day not me because he would have been so much more successful. During the interview time, I would have been six.
I just don't really know how to feel or how I'm supposed to feel. When I was younger, I knew I wasn't the same as my siblings but that didn't mean I was failing at anything. In the things I did do, I'd argue I was fairly successful. But hearing that from your own father, about you when you were merely six years old hurts a lot more than ever expected.
I just don't understand how I'm supposed to get past this. I guess it's even harder now that I can't even have a conversation with him as he's no longer around. What can I do to ease the pain I'm feeling from his words? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

1993: The Thief and the Cobbler, an epic animated film by Warner Bros. Pictures, is released. The Thief and the Cobbler was compared to the likes of Beauty and the Beast for being one of the animation world’s modern classic films, as well as being hailed by some critic as being one of the greatest animated films of all time.
Siskel & Ebert’s review made many audiences agree, as Ebert put it best: “The Thief and the Cobbler is to Warner Bros. as Beauty and the Beast is to Disney. Never in my life have I seen an animated film so brimming with complexity, comedy, and a sense of true, honest life. This is easily one of the 1990s’ best films.”
It would win the Annie Award for Best Animated Feature (ironically beating out Aladdin), the BAFTA Award for Best Visual Special Effects, the LA Film Critics Association Award for Best Animated Feature and the Saturn Award for Best Fantasy Film.
1994: At the 66th Academy Awards, The Thief and the Cobbler wins the award for Best Visual Effects, beating out Jurassic Park.
2003: The Online Film Critics Society named The Thief and the Cobbler the 21st greatest animated film of all time.
2011: The Thief and the Cobbler is selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant", becoming the first non-Disney animated feature to be inducted.

Can I just rant for a minute! This Is My First Post! LOL!
I have been trying to be a SMBC for 2 years and have had 3 Fertility Clinics turn me away and 1 OB office turn me away, because I want to be a SMBC. I want to scream! I found a clinic that will take a SMBC and offer MINI IVF, but they quoted me $30,000-$40,000 for ONE CYCLE! I feel SOOO upset. But of course the clinic that quoted me $10,000-$15,000 wont take SMBC. What is this!!! I want to scream forever.
I had bought 7 vials of donor sperm from CCB back when their prices were $1,200 a vial and used them ALL for home insemination. Sadly, that didn't work. I called them back to buy more vials only to find out their vials are now $2,200 and they are raising their prices soon. WHAT!!!! I cant afford $2,200 a vial. To make matters worst my donor is limited stock, only 6 vials left! So it is a now or never situation. I have cried over loosing my perfect donor!
I was recommend to use ICI (International Cryogentics Sperm Bank) by my OB and so I called and the women who answer the phone are SOOO RUDE! There are three of them and each one does not want to answer my questions. I ask what the family limit is and one lady said “25” and another says “20”! WHAT! I asked to speak with the lab supervisor as she is the “women in charge” and she was nice to release some back up vials to me, since the donor I wanted only had a few IUI vials left and they normally don't release them to the public. But what a pain!
Then my OB who I did 5 IUI with, totally lied to me about success rate, saying that IUI have a 30-35% success rate! I later found out by a real fertility specialist that IUI only has a 10-15% success rate. My OB was rude and talked down to me and made me feel like I was dumb. I drove an hour and a half each way to my appointments. My OB didn't offer ultrasounds on Thursday or the weekends and so your cycle had to line up with his office hours and if your cycle didn't his words were “to bad so sad, I have an OB office not an RE office”. One cycle he mismanaged my medication and I overestimated to the point I was almost in the ER from CLOMID!!!! I had a left over cyst the following month and my OB convinced me to still do that cycle, I was later told by someone else that I should have skipped that cycle. All my IUI failed because of this MAN!!! He never waited for my follicles to grow and he would have me trigger at 10-14mm. WHAT!!! I didn't know at the time that my follicles were immature. He said over and over again that frozen sperm was just like fresh and would live 72 hours. I knew this one was a lie because BOTH of my banks told me 12-24 hours. When I called him out he said “I have been an OB for 13 years and I know what I am doin.” I called the bank in tears after my last failed attempt because my lovely new bank made you call and report if your cycle didn't work. I begged the women to tell me how many pregnancy had been reported by my OB office. She said “4” “In the 10 years we have worked with him” What only 4!!! In 10 years!!! Why was I not told this when i was first asked months ago? The women even went on to say “we have never had a bad complaint from this OB and we have seen HUNDREDS of clinics use samples there.” WHAT!!!
My vent needs to continue but I have stuff I have to do!!!

I am 28 years old and I have had 2 miscarriages in the last year. I just got a recurrent loss blood panel done - waiting 2 weeks for the results. I have PCOS so was getting ready to start clomid before I got pregnant the second time. Both loses were around 6-7 weeks. My doctor told me to wait to start trying until we receive the blood test results. Although she said there is only a 50% chance that we will figure out why I can't hold a pregnancy. I am wanting to start trying as soon as I get my cycle back so we can get to the bottom of this and not waste time. Any advice or success stories? Struggling to stay positive.

Hi all, hoping to get some advice on applying to a Masters program with a truly terrible GPA, and what I hope are some mitigating circumstances. I graduated with a BS in Computer Science in 2011 with a stunning 2.73 GPA. I wanted to go to grad school right off the bat, but my advisor said it wasn't a good idea with my academic performance (rightly so, my final two semesters were my worst). Instead I bounced around for a few years before starting an IT career. That's mitigating circumstance #1: I've had a lot of success in my 10 year professional career with a steady string of promotions and increased responsibilities, and I have a few collogues who are willing to serve as reference.
Mitigating circumstance #2: two years ago, I was diagnosed with ADHD. In retrospect I have no idea how I wasn't diagnosed as a child, and I would say it has had a significant impact on my academic career. Now that I'm medicated, I've found independent learning not only easier but enjoyable; I've completed two online professional certification courses and I'm halfway through a third. I have no doubt that as things stand now, I would be much more successful in an academic setting.
The program I'm looking at doesn't require a GRE score, but I'll take it if it will help my odds of getting accepted. So, what would you say is my outlook? Any advice you would offer?

I've hit that wall where iPad apps like Youtube and Spotify don't work well or refuse to download the latest versions which have features I need. Other apps are affected too.
The iPad itself is mainly used for flights, keeping a baby entertained. Occasionally Keynote presentations.
Apple wants me to buy a new iPad (it wont allow me to update as of maybe 2 years ago)
I need to either:

1. find a back route to upgrade past iOS 12.5.7 to 16 or 17 if possible, or
2. buy a new iPad (boo)

I believe the hardware is fine so loathed to buy a new one.
I've also had success moving an old 2011 iMac to OSX 12 - to 2021 OSX Monterey (when it should be stuck in 2017's OSX 10 High Sierra) so I am able to get a few more years of life from that for Emails, Microsoft Word, Excel, watching youtube info.
Can I do similar with a iPad Air 1 (2013 model MD789/B) with A7 processor?
