My car was involved an accident and the right headlamps got damaged. The repair shop is saying that 2024 headlamps have not been released yet in the United States and will probably be released around July mid.

I’ve been craving a good enemies to lovers roleplay for awhile now and what’s a better enemies to lovers roleplay than something revolving around the mafia?
Plot idea #1: Your character has recently taken over the family business. My character is a college student on a study abroad trip that happens to see something they weren’t supposed to. Y/C’s men that were handling the deal take her back to the main ‘headquarters’ and keep her locked up, leaving Y/C to deal with her.
Plot idea #2: Your character is in a small gang that is tasked with kidnapping the naive daughter of a mob boss that stole money from another. Basic idea, can be fleshed out more together.
Plot idea #3: your character would be a police officer that’s gone undercover with some small local gangs to bust a couple of drug dealers and whatnot. Having done such a great job there, he is offered a bigger mission and if he takes it, when he returns to his actual station, he will get a bigger raise, new car, K-9 unit, some sort of special thing that he’s been working towards. This bigger mission would be infiltrating a bigger mafia family that seems to be running all these smaller ones. Thanks to some forged documents, lies spread around, and some of the actual dirty work he has done over the last six months, the head of the family invites him to a nightclub to chat. The chat leads to the offering of a position within the family, a personal bodyguard for the mob bosses daughter after the situation that happened with her last one. It’s his first break through and they’re welcoming him with open arms. Does he accept?

I wanted to share my detailed experience with the Kia EV9, which I purchased on January 3rd. I had eagerly anticipated this vehicle for years, and it topped my list due to my admiration for the Kia Telluride, even though I never owned one. I appreciate the direction Kia has taken over the past decade, and I was excited to support a company other than Tesla. I previously owned a Ford Mustang Mach-E, which I traded for the EV9, primarily for its larger size and superior features compared to the EV6, which I still own. Although the EV6's interior felt cheaper than the Mustang, it excelled in nearly every other way.
For some context, I purchased the very first EV9 in Vermont, making me the only owner in the state at the beginning of the year.
Here’s a detailed look at my service history with the EV9:

1. Climate Control Screen Issue:
   • Problem: The climate control screen intermittently failed to display anything. Disconnecting the 12-volt battery did not resolve the issue.
   • Solution: The dealership replaced the entire screen unit, a process that revealed the cost of this part to be about $4,000, though it was covered under warranty. 2. Back-Right of Driver's Seat Movement:
   • Problem: I felt movement in the back-right of the driver's seat during left turns, which was difficult to isolate.
   • Solution: The first dealership couldn't find the issue, but the second one did. It took about two months to receive and install the seat-track assembly, which resolved the problem.
3. TPMS System Warning Light:
   • Problem: A warning light indicating that the TPMS system needed to be checked kept appearing. Initially, the TPMS sensors were communicating correctly, but the issue persisted.
   • Service Visits:
     • First Visit: The dealership verified that the TPMS sensors were properly communicating and ruled them out as the issue.
     • Second Visit: They removed the negative and positive terminals from the battery, connected the leads to each other (thereby removing the battery from the loop), and created a complete 12-volt circuit to discharge any stored power in the car’s capacitors. They left it this way for 20 minutes, which caused the error to go away temporarily.
     • Follow-Up: I avoided a third visit by speaking with the technicians over the phone. They submitted a follow-up case to Kia TechLine, which recommended replacing the Body Dynamics Module (BDM). However, Kia placed a freeze on shipments of this part due to a known defect. This means it could be weeks or months before a replacement is available as the part needs to be potentially redesigned and shipped from Korea to the United States. Despite these issues, I absolutely love the EV9. The climate control switches, infotainment system, phone integration, seats, and seven-seater layout are all fantastic. It's frustrating to see a warning light on the instrument cluster of a car I've desired for so long, but I'm hopeful for a permanent fix soon.
For context, my experience with the EV6 was very similar. It had a bunch of issues during the first few months of ownership, but since those were resolved, it has had no problems.
I find these issues completely unacceptable in a brand-new vehicle. However, at this point, Kia has put in around $6,000 to $10,000 of work into this one car. They have really worked through things quickly. I suspect most EV9s out there have at least one of these problems, if not all three. So getting it replaced and going with a lemon law situation isn't really in my best interest, since I would just purchase another one of these vehicles anyway, and then that one might have these problems. The dealership, and particularly the service center, said that I was a real early adopter, to which I responded that I was just dumb for buying two EVs, well, three if you include the Mustang, very, very early in their release cycle—realistically, only a month after they'd been released. So the next time I buy a car, I'm probably going to wait. Although, I will probably buy another EV9 when I turn in the four-year lease on this one. By then, I suspect they may even have a refreshed, facelifted version.
Long story short, I love this car. I wish it didn't have these initial problems. But alas, it is literally the perfect car for me, and I want it to be perfect. And it will be. Plus, Kia Customer Service plans to compensate me generously for my troubles, as they did for my EV6.

AITA for being upset over a mattress?
I (48F) have a sister named Jamie (52F) and a brother named Chad (46M). Our parents recently passed and we inherited all of their belongings.
Our parents purchased a brand new mattress for their guest room about 6 months before they passed. It was a nice mattress that cost about $1000 and by the time we inherited it, it was barely used. I really wanted it but Jamie said her son needed it for his new apartment so I let them have it. Chad drove 3 hours away to Jamie’s house and delivered the mattress to her.
About a year later, Jamie’s son got a new job so he relocated to another state and didn’t want to bring the mattress with him. Therefore, he brought it back to Jamie’s house. Jamie stored it in her dining room until she could figure out what else to do with it.
Jamie called me to tell me that I could have the mattress now. My car wasn’t big enough for the mattress so Chad agreed to drive back up there (3 hours away) whenever he had the time & room in his truck. We never told Jamie a specific time or date as to when we’d pick it up.
Chad was unable to retrieve the mattress for about 3 months due to some medical issues and managing his company. I did not push him during this time as the mattress was no longer the priority & I figured we’d retrieve the mattress once everything was settled. I kept Jamie updated to let her know that and she was ok with that.
Once everything had settled about 3 months later, Chad called and said he could get it in about a week. I told Jamie and she said that was okay. However, Jamie called me 2-3 days later and said that she was no longer willing to keep the mattress any longer & was giving it away to her neighbor.
This upset me because Jamie knew the entire situation and had said she’d been fine with keeping it at her house up until this point. Also, she never told me she was going to ask someone else if they could have the mattress, if I didn’t get it within a certain time frame. I told her how I felt and Jamie responded by saying “you should be glad that I didn’t charge you rent for keeping the mattress at my home for this long” even though she was the one who originally wanted the mattress in the first place.
I dropped the conversation, told Chad to not go get the mattress, & she ended up giving the mattress to the neighbor.
It’s been a while since this occurred but Chad and I make jokes at times about this situation. We just don’t mention it to her cause she gets angry whenever we bring up “the mattress situation”…

My wife’s car stereo. It’s a 2015 Scion tC OEM upgrade, Pioneer head unit. There is no audio on the radio; but audio works fine on Bluetooth. She said the audio cut in and out for a bit; and now it is totally gone. Am I right in thinking the antenna wiring is loose somewhere down the line?

I ask this because i’ve seen multiple videos on tiktok in the last week of individuals in the army and navy bragging about randomly going AWOL not showing up for weeks and some saying over a year, and suffering little to no consequences. Others saying their pay was slightly docked for a few months. Some even returning back after a few months and supposedly stating nobody even noticed they were gone. I am a 29 year old single mother of two boys ages 5 and 7. I have been divorced for about 5 years. my ex-husband and I split amicably and he is still very active in their lives but lives in a different state.
Last year I moved to a Bible Belt state for work with a bad public school systems so I sent my boys to a private Christian School where they also go to after school care. Our family is not Christian but I wanted my boys to have the best possible education they could so I sent them there.
There have been a couple father-son events hosted by the school and after-school program that I have attended with the boys so that they did not feel left out. As a result of this two twin boys age 7 took a special interest in my boys. After these two twin boys realized that I was a single mother over the course of the school year they started relentlessly bullying my boys. They started calling them names and saying that divorce is a sin and made fun of them for not having a dad. Everyday on the car ride home from after school care they would cry and tell me all the mean things that these two twin boys would say to them.
My breaking point came when I got an incident slip from the after-school program that stated that one of the twins had pushed down my 5-year-old and called him a bastard. I was absolutely Furious. I was so mad I did not know how to respond I felt helpless and guilty. I was up late thinking about the situation.
Using the incident slip that I got from the after-school program I found the mother's Facebook. After going through her pictures she had tagged her husband, so I went on his profile. I saw the pages that he liked and the groups that he was a part of . I noticed that he was a member of a local running club. I joined this running club and started showing up in the sluttiest functional workout outfits that I owned. It was not long before he started talking to me and we started running together. After running together a couple times I got his phone number. He started texting me Non-Stop, talking shit about his wife telling me about how attractive he thought that I was and even sent me naked pictures. I was not really attracted to him and I was swinging way below my weight class but I invited him over to my house during my lunch break and I had sex with him. After we had sex and I got proof that we had sex then I blocked his phone number. Shortly after got the twins mother's phone number and sent her screenshots of all of our text messages. I sent her all of the naked pictures he had sent me and the proof that we had had sex from a disposable cell phone.
Nobody knows that it was me that had sex with her husband not even her but I heard it through the schools mommy gossip channels that she has filed for divorce. I broke up these twin boys home because they were bullying my children about having a single mother and now their mother is a single mother. I told my closest best friend who lives in another state and she says that I went too far and Im an asshole for destroying their home. now I feel guilty. Am I the asshole.

If this is in the wrong place, let me know and Ill remove it.
I was hoping some people here might be able to shine some light on my options here since I'm a relatively new renter and not sure what to do in this situation.
I currently rent with a roommate in a downstairs 'apartment' of a house that was crudely turned into a Duplex;

• The house is split in half with pieces of ply wood separating our unit and the one upstairs.
  
• We have our own entrance to the house
  
• We do not have separate meters/hook ups, the utilities are shared with the tenants in the upstairs unit.
  

He has been renting this place to us as a 2 bedroom unit although my room for the lack of a better term would probably be considered a 'storage room' more then an actual bedroom;
Ive looked into what would legally be considered a bedroom. I have a door, the space is probably fine in terms of size, up until very recently it didnt have a ceiling (which we will get into), and there is no windows in the room at all. Not sure if this information matters, but I want to be as thorough as possible.
Here is where the story begins;
The tenants upstairs have been complaining almost weekly very recently about issues with the water pressure upstairs. We have been living here with them for close to 3 years and it hasnt been a problem until around the beginning of 2024.
Our landlord had sent in atleast 5 different contractors/plumbers/etc... to come take a look but none have given a definitive answer or solution. After a few more conversations, they want to expand the pipe coming to the house to see if that can solve the issues for water pressure and that they would be in contact about the work soon. That line runs right through my room so I would need to pull everything out.
A couple weeks goes by, we hear nothing...
Suddenly, the landord emails me and my roommate on Sunday March 28th, 2024 around 5pm that he has scheduled for work to start on Monday March 29th, 2024 in the morning (no forewarning at all). When we asked about timelines he told us he will be putting a ceiling in my room after the other work is done for the pipe and the work would be 3-4days.
So when I get home that evening, I pull all my things out of my room and into the living room. Only things left in my room are things that cant really be moved anywhere else or cant fit through the door. (Dresser, desk, and I put the bed frame up on its side and out of the way.)
They dont show up Monday or Tuesday at all. They finally show up Wednesday May 1st, 2024 to start the work. They are pretty much done work, just waiting on an electrician now (so he says) and I've been keeping track of things as they had been working and this is the sum up of events;

• I'm still in the living room currently if they arent done by tomorrow, that would make is 3 weeks I havent had any access to my bedroom even though we were told 3-4days.
  
• They damaged my property. My dresser is damaged, it looks like they stood on my desk at some point and caused damage to it, theyve been using our dinner table chairs to stand on, they even damaged the floor in multiple places.
  
• There is plaster + plaster dust all over the house, all over counters and the floors to and from the room and all over our kitchen aswell. (This honestly is the least of my problems, Im going to clean it anyways and it wouldnt be that big of a deal if there wasnt so many other problems here)
  
• We asked a few times to see if it was possible to put a window in that room for fire escape and was denied for it.
  
• They built a new bathroom for the guys upstairs on the main floor instead of on the second floor so they could get better water pressure... Right above my where my bed would have to be. We were not told about this until about 2 days ago after they already finished building it
  

As you could probably guess, I'm not too happy about a lot of this so I decided to message my landlord yesterday evening and let him know some of my frustrations. Providing pictures and reasoning behind my concerns and offering to make myself available to speak about this either in person or over the phone, which ever is preferred.
He comes back and messages my roommate (not me directly) and says he will not be contacting me and said that my message was a 'threat' AND he is going to be charging us $150 starting in July because of the new house 'improvements'.
Honestly, I could get into alot of different things. Like the mould thats been all over the bathroom and part of the house since we moved in... or even the state of the house when we did initially move in was absolutely unacceptable. But that is a story for a different time and too much to get into here.

So I am confused on what my plan of actions should be here. He didnt 'improve' anything in ours unit, he put a ceiling in my room and thats about it. There is still water pressure issues and only the guys upstairs got a new bathroom. I dont even think my room is a 'legal' bedroom but I'm not confident.
Do my messages seem threatening? I tried to be very articulate and firm about what my concerns are and that I am willing to speak about it. Does he have the right to just increase our rent like that? Does anyone have any suggestions? is this even worth pursuing?

Trying to figure out what this may be from. Just noticed this yesterday, have had the car for less than a month. Originally thought it looked like it was from a sticker or something but it doesn’t seem like there is any residue on the car… seems more like it might be under the top layer? Wondering if anyone has experienced this before.

Last year I purchased a used 2014 FIAT 500L with less than 60,000 miles on it. In the year I’ve owned it, I’ve experienced the following failures that have needed repair:
· Turbo failure
· Headliner sag / adhesive failure
· Exterior paint clear-coat failure
· Neutral safety switch Failure
· Rear hatch latch failure
· Alarm system programming failure
· Tire pressure monitoring system module failure
· Multi-air brick failure
· Driver sun visor failure (stalk became brittle, snapped)
· Passenger sun visor tension failure
· Rear license plate light assembly failure
· Coolant system component failure
The last of the latter listed failures (I’m sitting here thinking there HAS TO BE at least one other thing I’ve missed on that long distinguished list) required radiator replacement as well as upper and lower radiator hose replacement. Unfortunately, the upper radiator hose, part number 68261751AA, is on indefinite backorder as it has been for months. My car has likewise been undriveable for months as it requires said part to be operational again.
It’s one thing to make vehicles that are of low-quality, such low quality that the cost of repairing this vehicle far exceeds the (roughly) $10,000 I paid for it in only a year’s time. But, it’s another thing to manufacture vehicles…of any quality standard…but particularly those of FIAT standards where it’s well-known that replacement parts WILL BE NEEDED and OFTEN…..and NOT STOCK REPLACEMENT PARTS SUCH THAT DEALERSHRIPS MAY AVAIL THEMSELVES TO SAID PARTS WHEN THEY ARE NEEDED.
Are you surprised you sold a total of 602 new FIAT vehicles in the United States during the entirety of 2023? That’s a far cry from the 46, 999 units you sold in 2012. People thought back in 2012 they could trust FIAT again; surely they were not the same build quality as they were in the 1980s when you withdrew from the United States entirely, right? But, apparently, as stupid as the average consumer is, even they understood how bad FIAT quality still was and it showed by 2017 when sales began dropping to a tune of 26,492 units. When I talk to FIAT dealers, few and far between as they are in the United States, I see no new cars being offered. The sales reps say they are by special order only because the demand isn’t there. The truth of the matter is that not only consumers don’t want them but the mechanics at FIAT dealerships cringe whenever anyone brings a FIAT in for service and repair because even the factory authorized dealers have a hard time figuring out what’s wrong with these things. Places like Jiffy Lube won’t even touch a FIAT, not even for a simple oil change! Some extended warranty companies won’t even sell a policy covering these vehicles; is it a wonder why?
I had to go out and buy a second car while still continuing to may payments on this 2014 FIAT 500L, thus mandating I make two car payments in lieu of one that I can barely afford (thus why I bought the car in the first place, as valuation on used FIATs are understandably depressed as compared to other makes here) just so the 500L can sit for God knows how long in the dealer’s satellite lot and rot away under a tree while it futility awaits FIAT to ship a radiator hose. You’d think one would be able to use a generic radiator hose but no: that hose was made to be specific for that car such that I cannot even substitute a generic because of a fitting specific to the model! You have to be kidding me!
You all should be ashamed of yourselves, first of all. Second of all, I hope you pull out of the United States market altogether. Why stay here in the States if you are not wanting to put forward effort in stocking even the simplest of parts for the cars you do offer here? Even the parts that were available in the long list of those that failed that I previously enumerated only numbered less than a handful in availability, such as there having been one sole neutral safety switch that the dealer was able to see available in national inventory when that failed. As the dealership’s service manager put it: “It’s almost like they want these things off of the road”. I don’t think you all want these things off the road. In fact, I don’t think the cars you sell to U.S motorists even cross your mind after they drive off of the sales floor. FIAT simply does not care about FIAT owners and the cars they are attempting to maintain!

I remember four years ago, around this time, the whole town of New Braunfels had Trump shit everywhere. We had the Trump TRAAAAAAAAIIIIN! (choo choo). Just about every other house, some adjoining properties, had Trump 2020 signs in their front yards. Lot of cars and trucks had Trump bumper sticker shit on them.
Hell, there were even Trump flags outside on the flagpoles, especially at the entrance of River Chase Community.
Now...nothing.
Soooooo...what happened? What changed your minds? Did you wake up and realize it's all bullshit? That Trump threw you under the bus during January 6, 2021?
Are you going to apologize for your stupid behaviors? Are you going to accept and admit you were wrong?
