2024.05.29 06:41 sellmysole NACA & House Hacking

To my understanding NACA places a $25,000 lien on your title for the life of the mortgage to ensure buyer’s occupancy. Now I’ve read two different scenarios for this lien:
Scenario 1: $5k is reduced off the lien each year as long you occupy the property. After 5 years NACA says they can then remove the lien only for a refinance or sell. If you attempt to refinance, sell or move out and rent out the property with in your first 5 years the balance of the lien is due. This is the most frequent scenario I’ve been coming across with someone who says they confirmed this at a recent workshop they attended a little less than a year ago.
Scenario 2: 25k lien for entire life of mortgage with no reduction
My burning question is how are people house hacking using a NACA loan? And which scenario is absolutely correct?
People on YouTube/online all claiming they used NACA for first home which eventually they move on to a 2nd home after they filled all units with tenants and waited the 5 year term.
A second question would be how is your NACA home handle in the event the home owner passes and would need to pass on to a spouse/child given the lien on the house?
My ultimate plan if I go the NACA route is to get a multi family house and have my mortgage covered by my tenants and hopefully profit to supplement my 2nd home or might just do something similar with the 2nd home as I did with the NACA home (I know easier said than done but my entire family are home owners and land lords which a lot of resources will be inherited).
Are people just paying off the lien amount and moving on to 2nd house? Even if no lien balance doesn’t NACA reserve the right to foreclose?
Also what doesn’t sit right with me from my research I’ve seen people say there is no mechanism in your contract with NACA that the lien can be lifted upon request and pretty much leaving it to good faith.
I’ve never attended a workshop. All my understanding is coming from a few days worth of research so please forgive me for my ignorance but I can’t really find anything concrete on this topic.

2024.05.29 06:23 BadAtStuf [1M] long term erythromycin use

1 year old, Male 19.1lbs, 27.1in Removed at 39wks, giant omphalocele (liver, bowels, partial stomach) J tube fed 1000mLs over 20hrs 1.5mL erythromycin 3 x's a day for motility. 3mL omeprazole 2 x’s a day for GERD.
He's been on erythromycin since he was around 3-4 months old and no end in sight. Due to a rash he got when trying Reglan they've listed it as an allergy and are sticking with erythromycin, just upping the dose as he grows. Is this small amount concerning for long term use? I'm thinking about if he needs to fight something like strep or staph because he has been sick every single month since he was born with everything, staph, RSV, flu, Covid, pink eye... it's always something and he’s had vancomycin for infections previously. He still vomits quite a bit even with the erythromycin AND J tube feeds and I want to make sure the erythromycin is not just hurting his immune system in some way, especially if it isn't proving to be the most helpful with vomiting/motility anymore. The Gl doc he sees doesn't seem to think it's a concern and just keeps him on it, but I just have that feeling about it and would love some more opinions on it. I feel like I pester his doctors enough with all my little questions and concerns.

AUS Mount from Reptilia, for 30mm diameter magnified optics, is a beautifully crafted piece of machinery. This product is the result of a 2-year development program and it truly shows in its design and functionality. The finish, an Anodized Flat Dark Earth, gives it a sleek look that blends well with various M1913 Picatinny rails it can be attached to.
This AUS Mount stands out due to the custom bolt mounting system with an anti-snag, spring-loaded, nitrided steel clamp. The clamp can be tightened using either a 5/32 hex or a flat blade driver for a low-profile, streamline design. The single piece of billet 7075-T6 aluminum, which it is made from, is further enhanced with the MIL-STD Type III Class 2 hard anodize coating.
The AUS Mount is compatible with all of Reptilia's existing 30mm ROF line and will also work with several new ROF products launching soon. Despite its robust build and advanced tech, it is surprisingly lightweight and compatible with different optic configurations.
While there is no denying the AUS Mount's capabilities and aesthetic appeal, users might still find the price a bit steep. Overall, this product is worth the price tag for those who prioritize high precision, durability, and a stylish touch in their magnified optics.

With its adjustable incline arms, it's become a breeze to store those hard-to-reach items off the ground. The 30-inch arm length fits perfectly in my limited space, and the steel frame construction gives me the durability that I need.

🔗Integy CF Steering Servo Mount for Crawler Axles

https://preview.redd.it/chbcxl3ska3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=179724fff62b98569ef99603d23041e731245374

One of the features that stood out to me is the cantilever mount, which provides a secure and precise connection between the steering servo and the crawler axle. This not only ensures smooth and efficient movement, but also adds a touch of elegance to the overall setup.
However, I did notice that the installation process could be a bit more streamlined. 🔗High-Quality 30MM Cantilever Mount for Marine Accessories

https://preview.redd.it/7gj87ngska3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa2077dc278f008035816326b410ecf3bdbbadbc
As a sailor, the importance of having a reliable and secure autopilot system cannot be overstated. So when it came time to replace the mounting socket for my autopilot, I decided to give the Raymarine Cantilever Mounting Socket a try. The high-grade design stood out to me and, after a few weeks of using it, I can confidently say that it delivered on its promise of extended lifespan.
One of the things that impressed me most during my first installation was how easy it was to fit on my autopilot. The 30mm cantilever hole was perfect, and with a simple cut and a few twists, the socket was securely in place. I also appreciated the sturdy design, which gave me the confidence that my autopilot would hold up during even the roughest sea conditions.
However, there were a few minor drawbacks as well. After my first use, I had a bit of trouble with the mounting system. Even though the included epoxy was effective in securing the cap, I faced some difficulty getting rid of captured air. Eventually, I found a workaround that involved leaving some of the glue-free while inserting the cap, but I wouldn't say it was ideal.
Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase of the Raymarine Cantilever Mounting Socket. It's a well-engineered product that delivers a rock-solid performance, and while it's priced a bit higher than some alternatives, it's worth it for the peace of mind it provides.

🔗Heavy-Duty Cantilever Rack for Efficient Material Handling

In my line of work, I often find myself dealing with heavy and bulky materials that need to be properly stowed away in the warehouse. That's why when I heard about the Vestil HSA-C-30 Cantilever Rack, I knew it was right up my alley.
The first thing that caught my eye was its adjustable design, which provided me with the added flexibility I needed. Whether I had a single piece or a full load, this rack made it easy for me to align the arms perfectly. The pre-drilled holes and included hardware made the process even more streamlined, ensuring that my materials were safe and secure.
One of the features that really stood out was the lips on the rack, which prevented any products from falling off. This little detail made a big difference in ensuring that my materials stayed in place, even under heavy loads.
Of course, no product is without its drawbacks. For me, the one downside was the color, which was a bit loud for my taste. However, this is a minor detail that didn't affect the functionality or durability of the rack.
Overall, the Vestil HSA-C-30 Cantilever Rack has been a lifesaver in my warehouse. Its versatility, durability, and customizable options have made it the go-to product for handling long, heavy materials. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to keep their workplace organized and efficient.

I recently had the chance to use the Shimano Altus CT91 Rear Cantilever Brake with Link Wire during a grueling mountain bike ride. After struggling with my previous brakes, these new ones made a world of difference. The adjustable brake toe and spring tension provided me with peace of mind when braking, especially during those high-speed descents.
One of the things that stood out to me was the straddle wire inclusion. I found myself adjusting it frequently during my ride, which allowed me to fine-tune the brake tension to my liking. The Shimano Reference Number, BR-CT91, also showed me that this was a quality product that would last.
Despite the overall positive experience, I did face a few minor issues. The installation process was a bit longer than I would've liked, and the straddle wire needed some fine-tuning to prevent any unwanted noises or vibrations. However, these issues were easily overcome, and the product's sturdiness and stopping power truly shone through.
In conclusion, the Shimano Altus CT91 Rear Cantilever Brake with Link Wire proved to be an excellent choice for my mountain bike. Its adjustability, durability, and ease of installation made it a win for me, despite those minor hiccups during setup.

As a reviewer, I've been using the InstallerCCTV Universal Cantilever Wall Mount for my TV for quite some time now, and my experience with it has been nothing short of satisfying. Made of heavy-duty aluminum and steel, this mount is incredibly sturdy, providing reliable strength to hold up to 45 pounds, no matter the type of television I use.

The full-motion design allows for easy manual adjustments, enabling me to find the perfect angle for an optimal viewing experience. The package comes with everything I need, including a user manual and hardware pack, making it a hassle-free setup process.
However, one area where it falls short is the bubble level. It doesn't come included with the mount, so users might need to purchase it separately or rely on their own tools for ensuring a perfectly balanced positioning. Nonetheless, this minor inconvenience hasn't detracted from my overall positive experience with the InstallerCCTV Universal Cantilever Wall Mount. It truly is a reliable and user-friendly choice for any TV enthusiast.

2024.05.29 06:20 Only-Complex-7041 I feel like I keep restarting

I feel like I have to start from the beginning....again
Trigger Warning mention about suicide. Self harm and ideation. Domestic and emotional abuse.
Long post alert
I'm sorry if this isn't isn't right sub for this. But I've been watching vids on YouTube about surviving the abuse. And it's been triggering? Even though I thought I was over this. But I keep getting flashbacks AGAIN lately.
For some back story,
I'm 29F got together with this man not long after highschool. Turning 19. He was 7 years older than me. Looking back I feel he may have preyed on me since I was friends with his brother in highschool. I have complex ptsd and major depressive disorder. Generalized anxiety disorder.
Its been a little less than 2 years since i left. He technically broke up first with me but i was like well if you feel that way than imma go. I was miserable and over his shit by that point. Felt trapped. So i took that as my sign as im free. Cause he can't be upset with me if he ends it, right? I saw the opportunity and ran with it.
Didnt say a damn thing while I packed. Sulked on the bed instead. I even talked with his daughter who was 15 at the time, had the talk with her how me and her dad weren't gonna work out. Reassured her that it was not her fault and i would love to still remain in her life. She was the only daughter i ever had. Was involved in her life for 4 years. He didnt wanna join the discussion so i did what needed to be done for his daughters sake. I sadly passed her each time going out the door to put my things in the car. She was in the living room. So upward I go to my mom's, I called her and she had no hesitation when I asked to come home.
Once I get to my parents, he starts blowing me up. Spam messaging and calling and I told him I needed time to think. "We'd been together almost 9 years and your gone all day and send me a long breakup text after you finally get home and I'm in the shower. This is literally what you asked for, and youre broken up about it? How do you think i feel" Were my thoughts
I came back the next day cause he threatened suicide and i was genuinely scared. Called police. Told him i think well be ok if you get some help and stayed for a month or so when he just got worse. I didnt know at the time he relapsed. His emotional abuse and trying to control me grew errily intense from what i was used to. Was saying I was starting an argument anytime I was trying ti communicate because he would just not.
Throughout our time together, at least living together, He'd go from saying and doing things like
"These are the conversations that are gonna make me put a bullet in my head" Getting angry at something so miniscule and breaking things like he always did, it had just extremely escalated to him trashing the apartment. Timing how long I'd be out at the store or at a work meeting. Didn't work and took full advantage of the stimulus checks and 600 unemployment every week during covid, which he spent on everything but rent. Which later down the road is why our landlords sued us.
I almost got 2 jobs. I nickled and dimed every mf thing to make ends meet. Living paycheck to paycheck. While he's gloating about what he just ordered. Than stressing about how he has no money for rent the next week. He ran my PayPal into debt and almost fucked my credit up. With his spending and the fact that we were being sued. I had to pay for everything. I saved his ass so many times. For almost a fkn decade. I kept saying if I help him he'll be caught up right? But than he'd run his debt in again. He sucked every pen y put of ALMOST all my inheritance money. Talking thousands.
He'd constantly complain about the car I bought him in full. We couldn't drive my car around because it was embarrassing for a women to drive her man around. I always had to be with him when he was doing whatever. Couldn't have any me time. He'd get upset at me gaming and streaming for 2 hours while he'd be at the gym for 4 hours.
Always put me down. Disencouraged any self care routines I'd try cause they'd take too long. Genuinely got pissed at me if I was falling asleep before he did. Give me a hard time if I didn't get the right brand items at the store or even groceries.
Nothing I did was right or enough. Over 100k wasn't enough money. No amount of hours I worked were enough to escape his rath. Nothing I did was fast enough. I used to tell him my life wasn't the drivethru timing at my old job. At some point I just gave up fighting him on it.
He sucked the life outta me. My optimism I'd always have and encouraged him with was gone. This was the life I was meant to live I'd think. I was planning a suicide and self harming shortly after my return back to him. Which was about a month later. I was convinced everyoned wanted me dead. I was just a tool. Only good for money, errands, chores, and BJs. I was just an object to him. Nothing more and much less.
I left again end of october 2022 when i thought he was cheating. He hid my stuff in the closet when a girl came over. Always said he was lusting over other women. Always showed me pics of men and women and would ask me if id fuck them. Said it was ok to find people attractive.
Got to the last straw, left, and didnt look back. Not until i got to my parents did i realize he was emotionally abusive. I stayed ferm on my boundaries. He commited suicide less than 2 months after i left. Blamed me in his note, which was a rewritten version of another he left at the house after the first time i left.
Blaming me and giving me one last fuck you was more important to him to stay in his daughters life. He abandoned his siblings. I felt such a fucked up irony at the time cause it was alnost me. Now i dont feel guilty cause I know it's not my fault. saddly if he was still alive id be in such fear of my life. I was debating filing a restraining order the morning we found him.
The beginning of our relationship was extremely hard to handle. Probably the most difficult before we moved in together. I may have even dissociatrd through most of it? Im not sure how i survived while trying to take care of him. He was also homeless . He was occastionally physical like pushing. He threatened to kill me after hitting me once. But at thr time it happened i blamed myself cause he held everything over my head and i thought i deserved it. I blamed it on his drug use and drinking. I also hit him forst for saying harsh diragitory things to me. He was arrested the next day for breaking into a cops house. That night didnt exist to him and was denied anytime I brought it up(except the day after he broke down and apologized) he was always the victim.
Those early years before we moved in together are still hard to resinate with.
Why are his words in my voice in my head still? After all this time and therapy since his death. Its almost like im controlling myself thr way hed control me? I thougt ive come to terms with the emotional abuse and his death. Multiple times already. I even spread his ashes for fucks sake. And yet his energy still lingers. Not as bad as before granted. But my god man go tf away!
Maybe i repressed the physical occasions? And thr financial abuse? Again I was with him for 9 years. Lived with him for about 5-6 give or take.
Idk Why all this still haunts me? Idk How long it'll take until I find myself again, I thought I already have! Hes just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my trauma and i keep feeling like im back at square one.
I don't feel anxious or depressed even typing this. I just feel so lost. In the wrong world. Like im not cut out for life cause i have too much trauma. Too much baggage. Its too much too vent often to the people in my life now as i go through IOP. I don't wanna be in survival mode forever. Thanks for reading. Any advice is appreciated

2024.05.29 06:13 hotdiggydog Serious CPU Max Efficiency Fluctuations (100% to 10%) causing 3-7 seconds of stutters in OS. AC Adapter?

Hello! I've got a Lenovo Legion 5 that I bought 3 years ago and has been running well until some months ago when it started stuttering while gaming. And I don't mean tiny stutters, I'm talking a few seconds where it goes to 10FPS. I didn't think much of it because I thought maybe it was a matter of rolling back drivers. However, I noticed it's been happening a lot more frequently recently.
I also make YouTube videos and after a long break I wanted to get back into it but it's happening every few seconds, making it impossible to record on OBS.
I spent the last 2 days backing up files, changing windows settings, then reverting back to Windows 10, until I suddenly noticed that... These fluctuations stop when the laptop is in battery mode! It runs smoothly on battery mode, doesn't hang, and doesn't cause stuttering in OBS, although I guess for Power Management reasons it's running at a pretty constant 70% max efficiency in Resource Monitor.
Here is Resource Monitor while plugged in: https://imgur.com/a/RCHqk8f
And here it is while on battery: https://imgur.com/a/uhc56Ey
Now, it might be important to note that my charger has been wrapped in electrical tape recently because the wire was beginning to be exposed. The charger works fine in terms of charging. Still, chargers are quite expensive where I live and I would love to hear some advice. I would say it's not a PSU issue because it's handling battery power so well, but I'm not sure if these are two separate components: the one dealing with electricity from the AC Adapter and the other dealing with it from the battery.
What do you think? Could this most likely be caused by the AC Adapter wires not giving enough feed and just needing a new AC Adapter OR could this be an internal issue with my laptop related to PSU?
Thank yoouu!!!

2024.05.29 06:07 kurashu A Video Remix using 3 different Music teachers to create a song

Hi,
I'm looking for a video remix that uses 3 distinct instrument instructional videos (Drum, Bass and Guitar) and together form a unique remix using all 3 to form one music video.
These Instructional videos are clearly from VHS, though the video did pop up around the late 2000s. The video uses only the source material. It moves the 3 videos around, intercuts them (following their own beats) and shows all of them when all "instruments" are playing. There's not other visual other than the source themselves. It was more a work of mixing the 3 sources together and using their own dialogue to form the new song.
As for the sources:
For the Drums, the source is this video from Louis "Louie Bellson"! Drum Course For Beginners (1980s) VHS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THhMrlsKFmk The intro of the remix uses the same intro as this video for a couple of seconds, then the remix being already mixing in the 3 videos!
The GuitaBass was a younger lady, long black hair and for the GuitaBass it was a 20-30s man with long hair (Rock & Roll type). The sources look to be from around 80s/early 90s max.
I remember it being originally on Vimeo but I did find versions/copies of it on YouTube. I thought I bookmarked or downloaded but I can't seem to find via Google or on Vimeo/YouTube, as adding any of the keywords (instructional, lesson, teacher etc.) return "How to" videos or current videos/remixes.
Much appreciated with the help ! Ask me anything that could help!
Thank you!

Lost
Any advice??? All input is greatly appreciated!
My skin is significantly worse IRL, like extremely red and whatnot, my camera doesn't do it justice. Also, sorry this is so long,,,, I just wanted to give as much info as possible for the best advice. Pics were taken last night.
I've(F23) had this issue since last year in May(2023) and it has gotten significantly worse as time goes on. It is only on the left side of my face, my right side is completely clear. Every time I get home from work, including when id get home from school as a teen, my entire face gets extremely red and super hot and it hurts/burns, not sure if this is relevant but figured id mention it. Sometimes it also itches, but not always, I do everything possible to avoid touching and scratching and picking. Anyways, I was on the pill for a year prior to May(2023) but switched to depo because I was just simply too forgetful. I assumed it was depo doing this to me and just kind of ignored it until it got really bad around August and started asking my dr what was going on with my face. I haven't had a dose of depo since November 16th or the 17th as well. While I was in Oregon(lived there for 2 years, moved back to Texas in January this year 2024) I had health insurance, and my dr had given me several treatments of ketoconazole(I think I spelled that right) and it did nothing. I also dont have insurance anymore because, well, its Texas and healthcare is fucking ridiculous here. My dr in Oregon also constantly refused to let me see/get a referral for a dermatologist. It did not clear it up, calm it or anything of the sort. I even took yeast tablets that I had been prescribed. Nothing. I've tried I don't know how many face washes, creams, serums, natural remedies and so much more that I've tried. You name it, there's a good possibility i have done it. I have lost count at this point on what i have tried. And yes I give each product at minimum 14 days of use just in case something works because I know things don't work overnight, not usually. The only thing that seems to kind of be helping is the Elf moisturizer "Holy Hydration!" Its the blue tube. It makes my face not nearly as red, still red tho, and it doesn't burn or itch when I use it so I have stuck with that since November but that's about it. Everything else is just ass pretty much. It's still hell unfortunately though. I don't know what to do at this point. I feel ugly as all hell. I haven't taken a photo of myself since February as well because I'm just so embarrassed. So many always ask, "what's wrong with your face?" Like gee thanks. So i stopped taking pics, posting myself, etc. (Rule #1 that i was taught as a kid: if you can't fix it in 5 seconds, like something in your teeth, you say nothing.) I would love a skincare routine, too. I used to have one because i had always wanted one, but since all this started, I don't anymore because my skin just isn't letting me. It's pure chaos out here. I'm willing to try anything at this point, even if it's a natural remedy or whatever. TIA! ♡

2024.05.29 05:50 its_me_pg_99 3 FINRA and 2 NASAA Tests taken down in 5 months. You can do it too!

Hi everyone,
I'm a brand-new brokeinvestment adviser rep just starting out, and having gone through multiple exams and passing them all on the first try, I thought I'd give my 2 cents on how you can pass them, hopefully in a quicker time than me! I'll go through each test and my personal experience, then I'll explain the methods I actually used and how you can customize them to your needs.
SIE - I literally had zero experience in the securities industry when I started studying. I wasn't sure what to think after the first lesson, but I found it interesting! It took me a little over 2 months to prepare (I used Kaplan for all my tests). I studied for about 2.5 to 3 hours each day, and made sure to take plenty of notes. I found the real test was actually easier than the Final and Mastery Exams. Lots of questions of options, the primary/secondary markets, investment companies and the Acts; overall a good mix.
Series 6 - Immediately started prepping the day after passing the SIE; passed it about a month later. Suitability was the key point of emphasis; I memorized the suitability chart that they gave in the textbook and that helped a ton. Real test had a lot more scenario based questions asking you to pick the right type of investment for a customer. Tbh I was feeling a little nervous for this one since I had failed the second Mastery Exam, and this was three days before my test date. The key difference between this one and the SIE was that the latter had a broad amount of material, while the 6 asked you how products actually worked. I'd say this was the second hardest for me.
Series 63 - Again, started prepping the day after passing the 6. I'm being 100% honest here, it was almost pure memorization. I memorized the exempt transactions/securities, as well as the exemptions and exclusions for broker-dealers, agents, investment advisers, and investment adviser reps by writing them down over and over again (on my laptop to save trees lol). Also, knowing the legal terms was key, because this was a state law exam by NASAA (so don't confuse their rules with FINRA's). The Mastery Exams were a breeze, and the real test was definitely the easiest out of the bunch for me.
Series 26 - Here's where things start to get tougher. The info that I'd learned from the SIE and 6 (they're prerequisites for this one) came back to me, and I had to remember that it was important to look at it from a supervisor's POV, because a lot of questions were going to be based on this (i.e. "A rep commits X, what should the principal do to handle this situation?") The material itself was stuff that had already been drilled into me, but being a 110-question test, I had to time myself to keep pace on the practice tests. On the actual test, I was able to answer all the questions within 2 hours, and that gave me enough time to do a second-run through. Not too bad all in all; for me it was a tad bit easier than the SIE.
Series 65 - Oh boy. Let me tell you guys something that'll save you a ton of headaches later on: DO. NOT. TAKE. THIS. TEST. LIGHTLY. I just passed it last week, and if it hadn't been for the countless hours of studying I'd put in, I most likely would've failed. This literally had all of the material from the previous tests, including the entirety of the 63. On top of that, it also had federal laws that needed to be recognized from the state-level ones. The Kaplan course had 24 units to cover all the material, and a little over 4200 QBank questions. A huge mistake I made was not using all of them up. After taking the 2nd Mastery and all of the practice tests, I had answered around 3000 questions. After some debating on whether I should study some more or schedule, although I was still shaky in a few areas, I decided to go for it. The real test started out easy, and by questions 30-40, I was feeling like I might fail. But I stayed calm and focused on doing my best. I was super grateful for knowing those formulas, as a couple of questions didn't ask for calculations, but simply what they were. The ones that did ask to calculate tripped me up a bit, but I made my best picks/guesses. After answering all the questions with about 50 minutes left, I changed 2 answers; one because I didn't read the question properly and the other because I found another question that helped to answer. As you can imagine, this test was easily the toughest out of them all. I was more than thankful to see that "Pass" appear after clicking "Submit".
So there's my story! Sorry for the long paragraph on the 65; I actually cut out some more sentences to try and shorten it as much as possible. To cap everything off, I'll go through the main strategies I used, and how you can customize them to your will (Although I used Kaplan, they can probably work for other programs as well).
1) Do many practice tests. After each practice test, read the explanations throughly. Understand why you got the question right or wrong. The real test will almost certainly have different wording than the prep course you're using, so understanding the concept allows you to answer correctly regardless of how the question is asked. When I was using the QBank questions, I made sure to set the custom quiz to pull unused questions from the pool, so I didn't know what would appear next.
2) Make acronyms/phrases. They can be about absolutely anything (a movie, a life experience, etc). Anything that you can connect a group of bullet points or a concept to make it easier to remember is a good thing. For instance, I was having trouble with SEP IRAs, and it kept mentioning that only the employer contributes to this type of IRA. So to help me remember, I made the phrase "Solely Employer Puts In" (the first letter of each word makes SEP and I for IRA). Any silly way to hammer that point in means you won't forget come test time.
3) Record yourself saying concepts and phrases, and put it on loop. I started doing this a bit for the 26, and a LOT for the 65. Try to say what you want to say in a minute or less (absolute max of 1min30s). Once you put your recording on loop, you can listen to it over and over again, and this actually forces the info into your brain without you having to think or work too much. After listening to each recording however many times you like, try to write down what you heard. If you can't remember, just keep playing the recording until you've got it memorized.
4) Watch YouTube videos. Please be careful with this one, and make sure you use videos that are up to date (some videos were created years ago and thus pieces of info may not be current). Series7Guru with Dean and PassMasters with Suzy Rhoades are two excellent channels to look into. You never know, these videos may just help you snag an easy point or two on your real test ;)
If you're still here after getting through this humongous post, I wish you best of luck in not just your tests, but your future careers! Take care!

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix Speedring Crossbow Scope: Improved Targeting for Hunting

Using the Killer Instinct MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope has been quite an experience. The scope has made hunting much more enjoyable for me, thanks to its amazing abilities to lock onto and track moving targets from vast distances.
One of the features that really stood out is the durability of the metal case. This thing has a real tank-like feel to it, resisting impacts and harsh weather as if it was made for it. The spring-loaded covers on the lenses also proved to be quite reliable, keeping the lenses safe and scratchless until I was ready to hunt.
The built-in Speed Ring is another aspect of the scope that has impressed me. Making adjustments for my crossbow's speed has been a breeze, and the illuminated reticle is a big help when it comes to sighting in low-light conditions. I particularly appreciate the contrast the red/blue illumination provides.
However, there was one downside that I found a little disturbing. The scope came in a condition that made it apparent that someone had used it before. I was not happy with this fact, especially considering I had paid for a brand new product.
Overall, the MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope is a product that I would recommend, even with its minor fault. It certainly helped me become a better hunter, and it would do the same for anyone looking to enhance their hunting experience.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. This black 1021 model was a great addition to my hunting gear, providing exceptional clarity thanks to its multicoated optics and 1-inch mono tube construction. The fast focus eyepiece is a game-changer, allowing me to quickly adjust my sight even when on the move.
One feature that stood out was the illuminated cross-hair reticle, which came in both blue and red. It was perfect for low-light situations, making it easier for me to spot my target. I appreciated the adjustment click value of 0.5 inches at 100 yards, as it gave me accurate and consistent shot adjustments.
However, there were a few downsides to this otherwise great scope. The exit pupil was smaller than I would have liked, making it a bit more challenging to see the cross-hair reticle at times. Additionally, the scope's weight was lighter than expected, which might not have been ideal for everyone.
Overall, I'm happy with my experience using the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. It's a quality product with some small drawbacks, but its pros certainly outweigh the cons. If you're in the market for a reliable crossbow scope, this one is definitely worth considering.

In my pursuit of a new spotting scope that could enhance my wildlife viewing and target shooting experiences, I stumbled upon the SVBONY SV28 Spotting Scopes. From the moment I opened the package, I was impressed by its sleek exterior and sturdy construction.
One feature that stood out to me was its range of magnification capabilities - the SV28 allowed me to adjust the magnification according to my target distance, providing crystal clear image quality. The lens was exceptionally sharp, making it perfect for both target shooting and observing nature. Another aspect I appreciated was the ease of focus adjustment, ensuring that every detail was visible no matter the distance.
However, I have to say that the tripod that came with the unit seemed a bit lackluster compared to my usual tripod. I ended up using my own sturdier tripod, but it was still nice to have the option included in the package. Additionally, while the phone adapter was a nice addition, I felt it could have been more user-friendly.
Overall, the SVBONY SV28 Spotting Scopes exceeded my expectations, offering outstanding clarity and exceptional value for its price. Though there were a few minor quibbles, I would definitely recommend it to others in search of a reliable, affordable spotting scope for their outdoor adventures.

Buyer's Guide

The 22 Scope is a popular choice for shooters, hunters, and target enthusiasts due to its accuracy, reliability, and versatility. Before making a purchase, it's essential to consider various factors, such as caliber, barrel length, and cost. This buyer's guide will help you make an informed decision and get the most out of your 22 Scope.

Caliber

https://preview.redd.it/n7ccc48yea3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=937243e0940e3e26c4fea42099a615b67042b9c9
The most common caliber for 22 Scope is the. 22 Long Rifle (LR). However, there are other options like the. 22 Magnum (Maj) and. 22 WMR (Winchester Rimfire). When choosing a caliber, consider factors such as recoil, velocity, and bullet type. The. 22 LR has the least recoil and is suitable for beginners or those who prefer a more gentle firing experience. The. 22 Magnum offers greater velocity and energy, making it ideal for hunting or long-range shooting.

Barrel Length

The 22 Scope barrel length can range from 16 inches to 26 inches. The shorter barrels offer more maneuverability, especially in tight spaces or for use in a defensive setting. Longer barrels provide increased accuracy and velocity. For hunting or target shooting, a 20-22 inches barrel is generally recommended, providing a good balance between accuracy, velocity, and maneuverability.

Action

The action of a 22 Scope can be bolt-action, semi-automatic, or pump-action. Bolt-action rifles offer a reliable, easy-to-use mechanism and are suitable for hunting or target shooting. Semi-automatic rifles provide faster follow-up shots, making them a popular choice for competitive shooting or hunting where a rapid shot sequence is desired. Pump-action rifles are also known for their reliability and quick follow-up shots, often preferred for self-defense purposes.

Other Features to Consider

  • Stock material and design
  • Sight options (such as iron sights, open sights, or scopes)
  • Trigger pull weight
  • Safety features
  • Finish and overall build quality

Maintenance and Storage

Regularly maintaining and storing your 22 Scope can extend its lifespan and ensure reliable performance. After each shooting session, clean the rifle thoroughly, checking for any damage or wear. Store the rifle in a secure, dry place away from extreme temperature or humidity fluctuations. Regular cleaning and proper storage help maintain accuracy and prevent corrosion.
The 22 Scope is a versatile and reliable choice for various shooting activities. By considering factors such as caliber, barrel length, and action, you can select the best 22 Scope for your specific needs. Always prioritize safety and accuracy, and with proper maintenance, your 22 Scope will provide reliable and enjoyable shooting experiences for years to come.

2024.05.29 05:37 Rivvyb513 How to play movies

I'm a long term sub and have had the same class all year. Every now and then I'd play something like a tv show on youtube for the last 15 minutes but there are so many blocks that I can't play movies. We have smart boards in our room, no TVs, our own computers are censored so I can't play much on there either but today I tried to play a movie from YouTube which was shared from my computer and it showed a black screen with only the sound. My computer played it just fine but the smart board wouldn't show it. Other teachers have DVD players but I can't afford to buy a DVD player and dvds for just the last week of school. I did try to find another movie but it seems a lot of them are broken up into small pieces and stop all together before they're done and those seem to be the only ones that will play. I considered trying to just bring my firestick and then using my phone as a hot spot for the fire stick but I'm afraid the screen will still black it out. How are teachers doing movie days without a DVD player? I'm just desperate for something to keep my students occupied while I'm working with my small groups. If anyone has even a link to a full movie that their smart board isn't blocking, that would be great.

2024.05.29 05:36 Piotr_Barcz Cutting piano rolls from midi files - Chase Laser Piano Roll Perforator

Spencer Chase, over the course of a few months, has designed the first fully documented, single head, single roll, piano roll perforator.
The design is based around modifying an existing laser engraver and the build an be done by anyone who has moderate experience in modifying machines like this. It uses Gcode files (CNC machine format) to cut rolls.
Gcode files can be produced from PunchMIDI master files through M2G, Spencer's converter that produces Gcode roll masters to the specifications of a (relatively) simple config file. Configs can be made for just about any piano roll type I believe, so long as you know the format and what happens when you tweak certain numbers in the file.
PunchMIDIs are created using Julian Dyer's Perforation Editor software. This program can be used to make piano roll master of virtually any piece of music recorded as a midi file. For recutting existing rolls, the process can be used to make perfect copies of rolls when importing a ScanImageMIDI into Perforation Editor. The resulting punch master is a 1 to 1 perfect replica of the original roll.
New midi files can also be converted, even keeping tempo changes in the finished roll master.
I have made videos of the processes for mastering new rolls and mastering old rolls, they're on my YouTube channel under my name.
To inquire about the documentation of the perforator design, contact Spencer, his website is https://www.spencerserolls.com/ Due to the current lack of interest Spencer has not been as enthusiastic about the project lately so if you are interested in building this machine then please make yourself known to him so that all development of the project doesn't stop due to no good reason to continue!'
This perforator design itself is very cheap, the unit can be built for under 1000 dollars and roll materials from QRS are cheap enough where you can make rolls for under 5 dollars a piece in material costs!

2024.05.29 05:25 CletusThaFetus69 I just want to know if I am correct in labeling my parents narcissists or not

I just want confirmation my parents are narcissist.
So... my mom has never really been loving. My dad had/had PTSD. It is his way or the highway. My mom will straight up tell people "I learned to ignore him", "I never wanted another kid, I should've got my tubes tied after the first one, his dad is the only reason I didn't get an abortion". She will buy me things, and then when i'm telling her she is acting horribly yelling at me for something minimal (not writing a note in the cashapp for example) and then say "I wasn't treating you horribly when I bought you this thing earlier!!"
I don't remember the last time I got a hug from either one of my parents.
My parents never actually helped me get my license, they claim they "Tried to teach me!!" but got about 20 driving hours for me, refused to fill out the time sheets, and would yell and freak out at every mistake I made on the road. They bought me a barely driveable $900 grandam @ 18 after I was told i'd get a new car when I graduated (I am 22 and graduated in 2020) I was expecting like a decent condition 2007-2008 car that would reliably get me from point a to point b but was bought a 2002 wrecked grandam with hood latches due to deer wreck damage and struts so bad that the back end would slide out from under it on minimal potholes and tires that I had the fill back up daily to keep it off the ground. $900 car that required $2000 worth of repairs. I had to eventually buy my own car (they never helped me fix it depaite my dad being a literal jet mechanic) and drive it back and forth from work illegally until I got good enough at driving to get my license, because it was apparently easier for my mom to continue driving me to work on her lunch break and picking me up from work at 7 then to spend a few weekends and hours after work some days with me preparing for a drivers test. They then sold the car randomly and were planning on pocketing the money until I told them hell no that was my 18th birthday gift and that was my money.
Both my mother and my dad would get physically aggressive and spank pretty excessively but not to the point where I was like "this is abuse". As I grew older and grew to be a bigger teenager it turned into them moreso actually trying to physically fight me, me running as to avoid a fight as they yelled things like "I'M GOING TO RIP YOUR F***ING HEAD OFF" and locking myself in my room or running around outside until they were no longer violently angry.
One time I got a full blown blender thrown at my shoulder as a kid because I didn't help my dad find his shoes when he was late to meet some of his work friends, he also in that instance chased me a quarter way down our street (thankfully I was like 16 5'10 and fast) before going home and cooling down.
One time he also threw a tape measure at my shin and I still have a mark in my shin bone from that.
Lots of promises that were never kept and were forgot about. "If you help me with this massive months long hard process I will buy you shing expensive thing" helps and never gets said thing but gets yelled at the whole time for not doing things "the right way"
My mom also called me ugly as a kid, told people in front of me (and I quote) "Yeah I was pissed when he came out with red hair, i don't like red heads!"
She would tell people I was a little bastard and would tell them the amount of adhd medication I was on and how it was enough for like 2 adults (i already started questioning why the hell I was on that amount of adhd medication in the first place, i was basically m37hed out on adderall and vyvanse and concerts as a 7-14 year okd kid)
One time she bought me a pokeball as a kid at walmart, and our way home I did something she didn't like and she grabbed the pokeball and chucked it out the window and bragged to people about it
One year my brother got a laptop and an ipod and some other stuff and ya boy got some action figures
My mom thrrows a fit that I don't "contribute in the house" or clean when I stick to my area of the house, don't use the kitchen or dishes (i have my own dishes I use and I eat out mainly so i don't have to deal with them) and don't created that messes that need to be cleaned up and I keep my areas of the house clean. I could probably go count 7 wrappers and 6 pop cans and 3 plates down on our kitchen bar right now and I do not spend any time in the kitchen but I am apparently supposed to clean that stuff up as well as do the dishes that I don't use.
My dad will say "Here i'll tell you what you need to do" and if I do anything other than agree with him he will say "well then you're f***int stupid"
My dad would get violently angry at you if there was a tiny piece of lettuce in his taco or anything but meat and cheese on his burger and if you laugh at him for how ridiculous he is reacting he redirects that anger and amplifies it towards you
My parents and brother would kinda gang up and do things that would "trigger" me and laugh and yell at me when I reacted badly.
I just want confirmation that this is narccisism. I've been looking for what to call my experience with my parents for a while and I think this is it.

2024.05.29 05:22 Objective_Cry_6318 Bro this shit is getting tiring so I’m gonna just cut to the chase

Blah blah blah I heard tension rising in the air and it’s full entirety or at least half of its full entirety in between 2009 and 2011 it’s not about ghost or Halloween themed it’s not military themed but to a certain extent, it does focus on machinery I think it might’ve been a commercial or show it wasn’t a transformer rip off and at one point in 2008. It was on YouTube. Can’t tell you from who but I just know for a fact it was. Later in the lyrics if we ever do find it, you’ll hear whiplash, shaking really fast running from the past something like that that running from the past might be a stretch, but whiplash and shaking really fast was definitely in It It was hard for me to try to get some attention because I’ve been saying this for about 2 1/2 years and I first discovered the wazsdatsong post sometime around 2013 being nosy as fuck how I remember hearing this song is because when I was younger, I used to watch a lot of 80s shows on a channel I don’t remember much about it all I know is that the right after it was channel 93 channel 94 or channel 95 and those would be PBS Kids. My grandma was old-fashioned so she had an old late 90s early 2000s box tv so there was no cable other than that that’s all I can tell you hopefully this can help in the long run. I’m not trying to say I have definitive pieces I’m just saying that I recognize the song.

2024.05.29 05:16 CurvyKitty_ Can I just stop taking levothyroxine after 2 weeks of being on it?

Two years ago, I had my fallopian tubes removed prior to that. I was on birth control for 16 years. I have not had my period since it’s been a little over two years now. Over the past year I’ve been working with my OB/GYN and now an endocrinologist. I’ve had all types of bloodwork and an ultrasound. No PCOS bloodwork shows really high levels of prolactin on multiple occasions testing multiple different prolactin labs. My TSH and T4 came back showing I have hypothyroid. My doctor wanted me to go on levothyroxine for 7 to 10 days then get blood work and see my results again. She says I have not enough symptoms to get an MRI of my pituitary gland, although I have tons of symptoms, I started the levothyroxine and my hair is falling out like crazy. I have super thick beautiful long hair and it’s really only confident thing I have on my body so this is giving me a lot of insecurity. I had my blood work today and I’m waiting on the results but honestly, I think I’m going to stop the medication immediately, I think my doctors around the bush and I really need an MRI of my pituitary gland, kind of a vent kind of a .. will I die if I stop taking this after two weeks of taking it 🤣

2024.05.29 05:13 Kakashi_ninja Help find this song

It's a pop rock song I seen in Youtube in 2017 I think. A band singing in a beach or near a waterbody, there's white tube lights placed in the shape of 'V' or 'W'. I don't remember much of the song. It's an all male band. I've been looking for it for long but not able to get it coz I don't remember one word from It's lyrics.

2024.05.29 04:48 Redditin-in-the-dark Please help motivate me. I hate RDR2

So… I bought this game the year after it came out. I have attempted to play through the story four times since then, but I just can’t get into it, so I always give up and start playing and replaying other games I enjoy. This is my fifth time trying, and I’m determined to finish the story. I have stayed away from forums and YouTube videos about it all these years (I just joined this sub now so I can post this), so I have no idea what happens that’s so incredible. I don’t want to know anything until I get to it in the game. If I can get to the end.
But… I just hate Arthur as the MC; I don’t care for any of the other characters and stories, I’m not enjoying the long horse rides, and all the horse care and personal care I have to keep doing every 5 minutes or so… and the missions so far seem so pointless and dull (I just got through saving Mary Linton’s brother from the little cult btw - yawn).
I’m so tempted to just give up on this game, even though so many people say it’s amazing. The weird thing is, I really, really enjoyed the first RDR.
Anything you guys can say to encourage me - without spoiling anything from the story - is appreciated. I just can’t see what the big deal is, and playing through this game feels like a chore, not fun at all.
*** PLEASE, NO SPOILERS. ***

2024.05.29 04:45 hearteyeddoll I’m 26, my mom just had a car accident recently and I’m unemployed indefinitely following this… I don’t know what to do anymore

It's been ... 9 months since my mom got into life altering car accident . And we all lost our only car forever. I have no means of reliable public transportation near me anymore as I used to (I live in Puerto Rico) and getting a job near me is nearly impossible to do. My neighborhood is not walkable and most of the hiring places are near the metropolitan areas far far away from where I currently live in. Applying to remote jobs is also a dead end. I don't wanna be in anymore debt with school so I'm trying to avoid studying another things that I hate so I don't feel the need to pressure myself to like it. I just wanna have a car to move around and get a job and move out of my abusive grandmothers house for once. I'm sick and tired of living like this. I also stopped talking to my fp due to him being flaky and unwilling to let me go since he didn't want anything to do with me romantically anymore but sometimes we'd both still be sexually attracted to one another. I can't just be friends with someone who doesn't love me anymore, I told him this a thousand times and he didn't want to listen to me and leave me alone until another huge argument about an offensive racist joke he made just because I sent him a song to listen to and it was made by a South Korean dj on YouTube and I just split on him again. And even tho my anger was justified I still feel like crap. I still love him. I know he doesn't deserve me. But I feel like I'm not an easy person to love either. I don't know what to do. I feel like I keep trying to have friends and new love interests but I'm not made for casual ones nowadays. I'm intense. I love love and I love caring about others and helping people and being of service to anybody because if I don't feel like I'm helping anyone I feel I have no purpose in my life and I hate that because I know I'm just as important to look after myself but I wanna be part of caring community for once in my life, I want it to be permanent. I'm tired of temporary people and things. I have a big mouth. I don't just stay quiet and pretty for everyone to look at only. I'm not just a doll everyone can use and abuse. I'm a real person. I have feelings. I have every given right to live my life as unapologetically me. But I'm so tired of being alone and misunderstood unprovoked. I have no close friends anymore and the only person I had considered close revealed they were a pedo preying on a child years ago. I feel so angry cuz it doesn't matter how much time I spent with people they will somehow always disappoint me and boy do I have such simple boundaries with friendships (such as not being an awful person to me and others) which is incredibly hard for many to do. I can't stand living on my own anymore. Just the other day my mom and brother ganged up verbally on me and I just had a brief flashback on how they did the same when my moms ex did that to me with him putting my own family against me. All because he hated me standing up for myself against his racist behavior. I've had enough of this. I'm trying and trying to find a job a solution to get myself out of this and to make sure my family are safe and healthy. But when everyone and everythings against me it's when I don't even feel safe in my own room. There's always something. Don't even get me started with the state of the world right now. I'm already depressed as is due to COVID/Birdflu/etccxx spreading around and about Palestine, Sudan, DRC and many other nations are in a crisis right now and we're just supposed to keep living like this forever? I don't WANT THIS ANYMORE. Why do any of us have to deal with this? Jesus Christ I just wanna live normally. I don't ask for much and yet that's apparently a lot to ask for. I'm tired. I'm restless. Everyday !!!! ITS EVERYDAY!!!!! I don't feel safe in my own home, neighborhood, town, island or anywhere actually!!!! I don't wanna be a doomer. I want good things. I want a good life, and I want to be happy. But there's so much misery. I'm trying so hard to look at the bigger picture but I cannot ignore myself and others dismay over everything that's been happening over the last 5 years. How do I even do this without losing myself and my love for life? I've done everything and yet I'm still horrified I may not be able to live long enough to enjoy the seeds I've planted and have plans to plant more. This is unfair.
I’m deleting this soon but for now I feel way better letting this out of my system after a culmination of 5+ years of this ruminating in me.

2024.05.29 04:44 higurashi0793 As a 9, how do you deal with online toxicity?

Right now, I perceive the internet as a very hostile place. Specially social media like Twitter or TikTok. I stopped using TikTok because every time, no matter how hard I try to curate my FYP, it'd show me ragebaits and constant political arguments, and I noticed it started to affect my mood and I'd be angry and irritable all the time. It's been a long time since I stopped using Twitter, but from what I hear, it gets worse by the day.
I was watching a video essay on YouTube about people like Pearl Davis, "influencers" who make rage content, and the sole concept of making yourself be hated on purpose just to get attention (or money) was so wild to me. How are people so desperate for attention that they'd do and say all kinds of nasty things just for clicks and views? Even going so far as to commit crimes or be a public nuisance.
And the constant political arguments and infighting. I swear I couldn't go a day without seeing two or more people argue about something, anything, and try to make the other person sound like they committed a war crime or something.
It's not that it's bad to have opinions or discuss a cause or political ideology. I discuss my opinions too, and I disagree with people sometimes. It's just the way that it looks like almost everyone nowadays wants to have something to be angry about, to have an excuse to lash out at someone, or bully someone without feeling bad about it, so they use social justice as an excuse.
I almost found myself falling into that same mindset of being angry about anything, and I had to step back and think things through. I was starting to focus too much on the negatives and unable to see the good side of things. I don't want to be angry all the time and judge everyone under unreasonably high standards, or picking something they say and interpret it in the worst way possible. I want to be able to see the best in people, even when they might be flawed.
Nowadays, I try to keep myself busy with things like videogames, books or cooking, and I only watch YouTube video essays. I feel myself getting better, slowly, but I'm feeling less angry and I'm not so focused on negative things anymore. But I also feel kind of disconnected from everything too.
How do you feel about all the anger and hostility on social media? Does it get to you sometimes? If so, how do you cope with it? Other types are welcome to comment too!

2024.05.29 04:44 CletusThaFetus69 I just want confirmation my parents are narcissist

So... my mom has never really been loving.
My mom just told me yesterday that i'm a violent asshole and does my girlfriend know that she's going to have to clean up after me and help with the kids and dogs (she's projecting) and that we wouldn't last
I just want confirmation that this is narccisism. I've been looking for what to call my experience with my parents for a while and I think this is it.
