Whaddup folks,
Getting all 4 removed on Friday. 33yo. Top 2 erupted normally but got cavities on the hard to reach side for toothbrushes. Bottom two are slightly impacted and require "partial bony extraction" per the billing document I got. Put this off for years. Because of anxiety and potential combativeness I am opting for "deep sedation" which I assume means a step above twilight sedation?
In 2015 and 2018 I attempted (and failed) suicide twice via overdose, the first time using migraine meds and Vicodin and the second time using a novel dissociative called deschloroketamine. While I'm in a leagues better place these days, you don't just attempt suicide and forget about it. The 2018 attempt resulted in my breathing stopping and I became totally unresponsive. I came to in a hospital triage room that, in my initial stupor and confusion, thought was a version of limbo - and in no way am I a spiritual person. The dimensions of the triage room did not make geometric sense and there were other silent, still bodies in other beds.
When I was back towards 70% cognizance or so and recovering in hospital, it hit me what the experience in between overdosing and coming to in the hospital was. Nothingness. There's nothing for you, or me, or any of us there. You can't ascribe qualities to it because it's nothingness you are not aware off - Death in a deputized form. An experience you can only talk about because you woke up.
I have been having daily panic attacks in anticipation of treading back into that territory - lost time and nothingness you aren't aware of; coming to in an unfamiliar room with medical staff. I am resorting to writing a few things on my arm as reminders for when I wake up that this isn't the same as the suicide attempt, to not freak out. During the consult, I let my surgeon-to-be know all this and was not impressed with his reaction - granted I don't know how many people like myself he's encountered.
While there's a lot of advice, experiences, encouragement, and hesitation on this subreddit, I've never seen anyone else chime in as a suicide survivor and the unique things that sedation may represent. Just remember that maybe the IV drip and whoosh into a silent, amnesic sleep for one person here might be the trauma of someone else.
I'm keeping these damn teeth when they're done btw.

Okay I've had my whoop for almost a year. In that year I've moved it to my other wrist occasionally and taken it off to try to clean the underside of the band a few times. It's almost always on my lef wrist but it was on my right for a couple weeks up until maybe 3 weeks ago? And yesterday something was bothering me I thought just an itch and as I moved my whoop I saw I had a sore right underneath where the electronic stuff happens. Has anyone had this? What is it doing to my body? I'm freaked out. And side note it gave me totally off readings the whole time it was on my other wrist but I guess that's for a different post.

I got awakening for christmas almost 10 years ago and I instantly got hooked into the world and characters. Even to this day i can basically remember every character from the top of my head, but playing it again I can see some things that can be aproved on. So (outside graphics and full voice acting throught the game of course) what would you like to see if they remade awakening for the switch or the next nintendo system? What would you like them to change about the story, characters or gameplay?
Anything below here will contain spoilers to awakening, so be warned.
For me, 1) improve the villians. The villians in awakening are pretty bland especially coming from 3h. I think to improve the 4 main villians (Gangrel, Walhart, Validar and Grima) they should make them more memerable somehow. Starting with Gangrel they should make him more of a tragic villian. Have him start off seeming like a one note villian just wanting a war, but the deeper into his arc they start to show how hes gone crazy due to chroms father killing his family when he was child. Maybe, in one of the chapters (after Emeryn dies) have him monologue to chrom saying something like "what did you feel chrom when you saw your sisters dead body? Did it hurt? Did you feel anger, sadness, regret? Most it feel weird to lose someone you care about right infront of you. That pain, that regret, that anger you felt when she died is what I feel every day since i was a child. I was scared when your father burst into our city, I felt anger when he paraded my father and brothers across the city like pigs to the slaughter. I felt anger not when he had his men do what they wanted to my mother and sisters. I felt so helpless as they slit my families throats. You know, I only survived because my brother convinced a soldier I was just a slave. How could I be the only survivor of that monster? Ive asked that question every day. Everyday, my family calls to me to avenge them. Night and day they call to me, and now, finally, I killed one. Now, I just have 2 more then I shall have peace." I think doing this will help flesh out gangrel more.
For Walhart IDK exactly how to make him better except for making him more of an unmovable object kinda thing. Maybe have us play a one-off chapter as Basilo and in a that suicide march against Walhart rather then it being a cutscene. Also, make sure the player knows hes trying to unite the whole world under one banner so humanity can be united before grima is awakened.
For Validar I think they need to make him delusional and smarter. I think they should change awakenings prologue or whatever to show Validar, Robin, and Robins mothers past. Maybe have it so they show Robins mother fleeing Plegia with Robin as a baby to Ylisstol which will eventually lead to her death by Validar and the grimleal followers,which, in turn, will eventual lead to chroms father starting the war with Plegia. Validar justifies all the killing he does to the fact that he believes the lie that grima will bring peace to the world and bring the living to the dead. So he really wants to resurrect Grima to bring his dead wife back to life. Also, I think he should be the main reason most of awakenings plot happens in the remake without being totally stupid like he is in the original.
With grima, have him be more of a threat throughout the story.
2) Have each arc be more connected. Gangrels, Walharts and Grimmas arks are all kinda just thrown together so connecting each of them would be cool. Maybe have it where Gangrel starts the war with ylisse but seeing that hes losing, Aversa suggets aid from the mighty king on Valm, Walhart, who'll help in their aid if he gives walhart the fire emblem, Gangrel agrees but obviously hes killed before walhart can arrive. For walhart to grimas arc, I think Excellus (the purple haired tactician of walhart) should be a spy for the grimleal and would steal the fire emblem from chrom and book it out of there. Now having the fire emblem, all the gems validar can start the awakening ceramony.
3) have there be open 3d spaces to run around in, like a camp like in FE engage, where you can go there to spend more time with characters and stuff but not be needed like in 3h. Maybe have optinal dungeons that can unlock world building, powerful loot and characters.
4) Just have more lore in general and have some side characters be more important to the story outside their intro chapters.
5) have there be choices that affect the ending. If robin makes too many evil choices and doesnt have a lvl B or higher support rank with chrom and a few other characters, have him kill chrom and turn into grima. If he turns, let us play as grima and kill the remaining shepards, but if he doesnt turn, have the story continue as normal. I think this will help strengthen the story about bonds.
6) Explain grima more. I dont fully understand how grima works. Why does grima need a human body? How is robin grimma? Is grima the human or the dragon? I kinda have it as head canon the grima is like a titan in attack on titan where the human body is grimas actual body but the dragon is just kinda like a mech that is controled by his human form.

Sorry, it’s a long read. I have an update to a boomer being a fool story to share that happened today! I wrote about it a couple months back on a different sub, in case this story seems familiar. But then I deleted it, as I shared a lot of info in the comments and I don’t know if the boomer has Reddit.
Anyway, so I have owned my own home for 5 years and the boomer has owned his home since the 1990’s. The way mailboxes work where I live is the post lady only delivers to one side of the road. It makes her route twice as efficient as I understand it. Everyone who lives on the opposite side of the street has two choices. Dig a hole and place the post in the ground on the opposite side of the road or place a post in a 5 gallon bucket on the opposite side of the road.
There are four mailboxes on the side of my property, as my property is an acre (my box and three more boxes that belong to people living across the street). For the last five years, not a single issue, everyone’s box was either in a bucket or in the ground on a pole.
For reasons I don’t understand, while I was outside, I see boomer across the street messing with his mailbox in my yard. I didn’t have my glasses on, and I can’t see very far without them. So he’s looking at me, but doesn’t say anything. I go on with my day, forgetting all about it. The next time I go outside, I notice that what he was doing was attaching his mailbox to a 75 foot tree on my property. Mailbox was on a pole, that was in a 5 gallon bucket and some cement keeping the bucket firmly standing upright. He put that entire thing in my yard by about 12 feet, attached it to my enormous tree with two tightly attached bungie cords at the top and the bottom. So he could have asked my permission first, but chose not to. I don’t know the guy, but we would cordially wave to each other in the past.
And in addition to this, I notice all the trees in that area (all on my property) have green x’s spray painted on them. Like six trees total. I looked up and noticed the main electrical line for the entire neighborhood goes right through all those trees, including the one he’s attached his mailbox on. The spray painted x’s mean that the electric company has those trees slated to be cut down. This is because I live in a high fire zone and so the electric company is going around cutting down all the trees that could be a danger. I can’t see if the tree he’s attached his mailbox to has an X or not, since he’s tightly got the entire thing covered.
So, I call the post master and file a complaint to have his post office box removed from my property, as in the United States, it’s against the law to tamper with other mailboxes, regardless of where they are located. Post master calls me back and explains that they’re no longer delivering his mail due to the box being located on my property. He tells me that if the post lady gets injured trying to deliver his mail, I would be liable for her medical bills because she was hurt on my property. The post master said when the boomer comes in bitching at the post office that he’s no longer receiving mail, he’ll be told that he must remove it from my property. The post master tells me not to touch the box, but says the sheriff can remove it if I call them.
So I wait a while, to see if it’ll resolve itself without escalating it. Weeks pass, he’s not receiving mail anymore, but doesn’t seem to care or notice. I finally decide to call the sheriff as the electric company had come out to remove all the trees with x’s on them, but left without doing any of it, which made me realize he possibly has his box connected to a tree that also needs to be removed.
So the sheriff comes out and she says she won’t remove the box, but that I’m allowed to remove it from my property while she watches (which I also recorded for my own documentation). The entire transaction is like 2-3 minutes. When I move it, I realize his entire setup stands on its own just fine, without being attached to the tree in my yard. So sheriff tells me she’s going to try and find the guy’s phone number so at least he’ll know why he’s not receiving mail anymore. I had actually tried to find his number too, before calling the sheriff, as I don’t feel comfortable going up to his door as a single woman. The tax assessor gave me his info, including his address, which is listed as a P.O. Box three miles away! Meaning he’s not even using his mailbox, which is likely why he hasn’t noticed no mail being delivered. Anyway, I leave a voicemail politely asking him to remove his box from my property before calling the sheriff, but I have no idea if it was actually his number.
So I thank the Sheriff for her help and go back inside. Then I see on cam, as soon as I went inside, he went running out to speak with the Sheriff. I can’t hear their conversation, but can see it perfectly and his arms are flaring as he’s losing his damn mind over having his box moved. He stands there yelling at the sheriff for exactly 12 minutes. She’s just politely nodding her head the whole time. And then as soon as she leaves, he goes over to another neighbor’s house and arms flaring with very angry body language and lots of pointing at the mailbox, he talks to that neighbor for another 20 minutes. Then he leaves, which I’m assuming was to go yell at the post office 3 miles away.
Oh, also wanted to mention that when I removed the mailbox from my tree, sure enough, he intentionally covered up the green spray painted X on the tree with his mailbox!
So that should have been the end of it. Instead, today I look outside my window and I see this idiot boomer reattaching his mailbox to my property again. This is all so ridiculous and annoying to me, that I just snapped at that point and so I opened my window and yelled out “get off my property, you and your mailbox, you’re trespassing.” And he starts yelling something with flailing arms again, but I can’t hear him from that far away…so I go, “I can’t hear you way up there, I don’t want to discuss it, just remove you property from my property right fucking now or I’ll call the police and file a trespassing report.” So then, I can see him on camera, he takes his mailbox on the pole back across to his side of the street, he digs a hole and places his mailbox at least 12 feet into his own yard. Meaning, they won’t deliver it there either of course, as now it’s on the wrong side of the road and it’s in the grass 12 feet inward on his property when it must be on the side of the road to be in compliance.
For the last five years, it was just fine in the bucket on a pole, on my side of the road, not on my property. And every other house does it properly, which he can see as well! And he’s lived here since the 90’s, knowing how things work. This is just so insane to me! All this drama over what?!? Like he’s so entitled that he gets to just use my property, without asking my permission, even with the post master telling him no? Even with the Sheriff involved? Guy is nearly 80, has to be long retired. Did he just get bored or what? I don’t understand boomers at all.
TLDR: Without asking me first, boomer (who lives across the street from me) decides to attach his mailbox to a tree on my property.

0. High level summary

I propose that fault lines may play a significant and under documented role in what is happening with UFOs and specifically the impact of fault lines on some number of UFO related crashes. I suspect energetic effects from fault lines and gravity effects from mass variances in fault lines (especially while active) impact UFO/NHI navigational systems. They may do things like routing around, or via, fault lines.

1. A new leaker: Dijkstra's algorithm and Diablo Canyon.

On May 13th, 2024, a claimed leaker on UFO/NHI related programs posted on /Aliens with details on their history with the "Program".

It's a huge volume of data but one very particular passage instantly stuck out to me:

"The craft use a system that originally befuddled generations of researchers, but it's essentially a 3D dijkstra algorithm. It finds points around the craft, and chooses the most efficient possible route through space time to get to that point. Some of the parameters it uses to gauge efficiency are totally unknown to us and are a serious point of contention. It's not autonomy, but rather obstacle avoidance not unlike what you would see in a self-driving car. But, the self driving car could go through air, space and water without worrying about what medium its in. Additionally, the algo accounts for the crafts place in time."

And then this surprising sentence shortly after:

"Although the algo is extremely effective, Nuclear explosions and experiments somehow interfere with this navigation. Craft particularly avoid Diablo Canyon, even if we put something they really want there."

So, this Dijkstra's algorithm and Diablo Canyon.
I can find not one single prior reference to this anywhere, ever, in all of Ufology prior to that Reddit post.
I think this is entirely new, or new to the Internet for UFO topics.

So, we have the introduction of a known means of navigation, that does 4D (by inclusion of a temporal parameter) mapping in this model.
Then we have the inclusion of Diablo Canyon -- but there are six of these in North America. Three of these are very close to government sites.

Which could the leaker be talking about? And why is it interesting in the context of UFOs?
Why would a UFO avoid a canyon?

2. Energy fields, UFO navigation and "fault lines" in gravity.

There are numerous reports and stories of things like claimed lasers, directed energy weapons/fields, and even allegedly things like RADAR having some manner of detecable impact on navigational capabilities of UFOs/NHI craft. The lore is full of this topic over time, and it aligns substantially with the scientific backgrounds of people known to be involved, like Sean M. Kirkpatrick.
This caught my eye as I've been doing a lot of reading on certain much lesser-known effects of fault lines, after I learned that the home and neighborhood I lived in as a child, where a group of us saw a "saucer", was literally sat atop a small land mass completely encircled like an island by fault lines. This is not unique--there are others. But this was a wild surprise to me, and especially when the flight path of the ship we saw... once I saw the fault lines path/heading...
It was the same route. The thing we saw, once I saw the fault line maps... it was like looking at a snippet of a Google Maps route that the UFO took, for the duration of our experience seeing it. I did not know this for decades.
For the curious, the bread crumb that led down this path was not this whistleblower, fault lines, or my own experience. It was studying Lagrange Points.
What's a Lagrange point?
Positions in space where the gravitational forces of two large bodies, like Earth and the Moon, balance out the centripetal force felt by a smaller object, allowing it to remain in a stable position relative to the two larger bodies. Think of it like the mid-way point between any two bodies with mass that impact gravity. Earth/Jupiter. JupiteSun. Earth moon/Neptune. You/your cat. It's not a 50/50 thing; if you are and your cat are 10 feet away, it's not 5-foot between you. It's also impacted by gravity from other bodies within range (and range is infinite because gravity is, no matter how infinitesimal at long distances).
There is even conceptually such a place, even if it's trivial in variation, between galaxies.
Keep in mind: there are specifically named 3D mapped always-moving (as Earth/moon for example) always-in-motion Lagrange points for the Earth and Moon. Five total--but those are just the optimal ones. There would be a relative band of space where overall the gravity between bodies is more balanced.
Almost like a fault line in gravity, huh?
That, the fault line discovery related to my experience, and my (then) unrelated fault line research which was pure curiosity unrelated to UFOs... at first.

3. Piezoelectrics, Electrokinetics, and Gravitational anomalies.

So we have a new claimed 4D mapping/navigational tool by NHI UFOs, and that they go out of their way to avoid some "Diablo canyon" no matter what we do. We know definitively there are places where gravity can have relative weak spots, due to the balancing of gravitational waves/forces/mass between bodies. All bodies with mass produce gravity... including tectonic plates.
But that's not all they produce in terms of energy.
Fault lines can generate three different distinct effects beyond seismic (shaking/motion) impacts on the world.
They are:
Stress-induced Piezoelectric Effects
Stress-induced piezoelectric effects refer to the generation of electrical charges in certain crystalline materials, such as quartz, when mechanical stress is applied. These effects are caused by tectonic stress and strain in the Earth's crust, which deforms the crystalline structures, generating electric fields. At the surface, these effects can disrupt local power grids, cause voltage fluctuations, and affect sensitive electronic equipment. In the atmosphere, piezoelectric effects can lead to changes in the ionosphere, affecting radio signal propagation and GPS accuracy up to altitudes of around 600 km. In space, the impacts are typically observed as changes in ionospheric electron density, detected by satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO), such as those at altitudes up to 1,200 km.

B) Electrokinetic Effects

• High-altitude Observations: Electrokinetic effects primarily affect subsurface and near-surface fluid dynamics. There is no significant evidence of direct electrokinetic phenomena being observed at high altitudes. However, related atmospheric effects, such as changes in humidity or ionization, can indirectly influence atmospheric layers.

C) Gravity Anomalies

• High-altitude Observations: Gravity anomalies have been detected at high altitudes, including by aircraft and satellites. Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellites, for example, operate at altitudes of approximately 500 km and have provided detailed maps of gravity anomalies across the Earth.

5. Why would UFOs avoid "Diablo Canyon"?

We need to know which one it is. The most likely based on the intersection of fault lines; fault lines with impacts; and near proximity to notable UFO-related locations--Vandenburg and Los Alamos--leaves us with New Mexico and the nuclear power planet.
Here are all nearby relevant fault lines for each.
This section took a substantial amount of digging/cross referencing over weeks. I had begun this for a fiction/story idea that didn't pan out, and did not save the litany of sources I read. This is a summary.

A) Diablo Canyon Power Plant, California

• Hosgri Fault Zone

  • Location: Offshore, running parallel to the coast near the power plant.
  • Stress-induced Piezoelectric Effects
    • Specific Locations: Documented near Avila Beach and Montaña de Oro State Park.
    • Relative Strength: Moderate compared to other equivalent faults in California, such as the San Andreas Fault. The presence of quartz in the fault gouge enhances the piezoelectric effect, making it comparable to effects observed in the Garlock Fault.
  • Electrokinetic Effects
    • Specific Locations: Recorded near Diablo Canyon Power Plant and Morro Bay.
    • Relative Strength: Comparable to electrokinetic effects seen in the Hayward Fault in California due to similar fluid movement dynamics.
  • Gravity Anomalies
    • Specific Locations: Detected offshore near Point Buchon and Diablo Canyon Power Plant.

Hi all! Was diagnosed with angiosarcoma, stage 3 at 19 years old at the beginning of the year. The initial plan was to have surgery and radiation first, then chemo since it’s an aggressive type of tumor. Suddenly they decided to put everything in reverse and put me on 5 rounds of chemo first due to the concern of the cancer possibly metastasizing while planning everything out with radiation and surgery.
So far i’ve finished 5/7 rounds of chemo, completed ~24(?) rounds of proton radiation last month and now have a mastectomy scheduled for tomorrow. The plan is to get a skin graph done 4 weeks post surgery.
The surgeon will preform a total mastectomy on my left breast and left axillary sentinel lymph node biopsy. Possible left axillary lymph node dissection.
The plastic surgeon will be present to use Kerecis for wound closure and placement of wound VAC
Has anyone else had Kerecis for their skin substitute? Did your body reject it?
Unfortunately I was told to wait a year until reconstruction (or to get my other breast removed due to personal preference.) I was curious if anyone else had to wait so long for reconstruction? First I was quoted ~6 months if I wanted the other side removed and suddenly it jumped to a year. So i’m feeling a little discouraged.

Hey guys, so I noticed that I often lose myself in positive, yet egoic thoughts like reminiscing old memories. For example a great day I had with friends or partying at the lake. I noticed that whenever this happens, I lose Presence and totally enjoy my thought processes. So much so, that I don’t even want to be present and it’d feel like a chore to feel the Inner Body because the movie in my head is so positive. Can anyone relate/offer help?
Oh and while typing this I noticed that my mind often tells me things like „Eckhart is enlightened, so should you be“ and „you’re wasting your Life if you’re not meditating“. Is there a way to remedy this type of thinking? I mean, I laugh about it but part of me thinks it’s true.

I have been practicing focus 10 for about a month now and I am beginning to become more and more confident in my ability to reach focus 10.
I’d say I have a 50% success rate. The other times I “click out” or fall asleep
Since I’ve been practicing, there are a couple of markers that I know when I hit I’m in focus 10.
Before F10:

1. I am totally present with my body and I am controlling my breath to dictate the tools Resonate Tuning, REBAL, Relaxing Releasing and resting my body parts.

After reaching F10:

1. My breathing slowing becomes more automatic as if my autonomic system takes over.
2. My breath seems to fade away or completely disappears. (Sometimes it feels like I’m not breathing at all)

By this time I’m very confident by body is asleep.
Tips that have helped me reach focus ten

1. Allow more time - 20 minutes or more.

(The very first time I had a confident F10 was when I used the expand app for 35 minutes. I felt confident I can remember the tools after practicing “advanced F10” like 6 times or so.)

1. Relax my eyes as if I’m falling asleep.

(While holding the intention I will keep my “mind awake” and let my “body sleep”)

Ryo had already reached a state of full awareness after waking up, and yet he hadn't moved an inch, immersed in his inner world as he thought about what he and Elysira had done at night.
And what a wild night it was.
The way that she had skipped the journey to go straight for the finishing line had caught him unprepared. Still, with the mystery of their physical compatibility out of the way from the get-go, Ryo had been left with a lot of time to explore the other hiccups and perks of this interspecies endeavor.
From the occasional accident with her claws to the new possibilities her tail brought to the table, Ryo had enjoyed everything.
There was not an ounce of regret in him, but the memory of their last act lingered incessantly in his thoughts—a vivid Recollection of Elysira’s tail wrapping around his leg and letting silence prevail as his arm shyly enveloped her, allowing them to fall asleep side by side.
The one memory that held him in place, fearing their next interaction when the slightest of his movements would inevitably wake her up, mirroring what had happened all in the previous mornings.
What would she say?
Would she think that they are in a relationship now?
What would he do if the concept of casual hook ups didn't exist for the Irisians?

Elysira’s head tilted away from the light as eyelids fluttered, but the only other thing she did before stopping moving was strengthening her grip on his leg quite a bit, making him realize that her tail had not let go of him the whole night.
Upon noticing how numb his leg felt, Ryo propelled his body upwards, intending to uncoil her tail from his leg and start his day. Hopefully, Elysira wouldn't mention what they did, and he too would be able to pretend it never happened.
However, the moment his upper body lifted from the ground and he got a full view of her body, he was unable to remove her tail from his leg, captivated by a simple but powerful sight.
With her hands inside the pockets, Elysira had used his jeans to restrain her claws, putting herself in a very uncomfortable position, likely afraid of hurting him during her sleep.
His eyes widened, dispersing his previous train of thought from existence. The hand that was supposed to be dealing with her tail moved toward Elysira's exposed neck instead, aiming to wake her up with a gentle touch.
And as if he had just perturbed the stillness of a calm lake with a stone, a barely perceptible ripple of yellow spread on her skin from the contact with his fingertips. It traveled through her neck, reaching the soft lines of her face, and even traveled down her long hair strands.
At the same time that it felt wrong to be able to take a peek at her emotions so easily, Ryo couldn't help but wonder—which other colors had the darkness stolen from him? While immersed in this question, Ryo kept caressing her neck until her eyes opened slowly, resetting all the back spots of her body at once as consciousness took control over instinct.
Elysira’s grip on his leg loosened when she realized she was overdoing it. Her gaze started scanning every inch of him, starting from the accidental scratches of her own making and unashamedly stopping at places she had not seen before.
Unbothered by her curiosity, he even removed some of the loose strands in front of her eyes and threw them behind her long ears to make her job easier, feeling some apprehension only when she lost interest and sought eye contact.
Traces of purple appeared around her black spots as she spoke. "What do you humans do after... what we did?"
Ryo winced, but his tone was gentle. "Silly girl!" He felt deep regret for how he had skipped the part of Irisian relationships in favor of politics when she was teaching him about her species. "It could be everything or nothing."
He expected some intense reaction from Elysira, but there wasn't a lot of emotion showing. As he searched her skin, he also realized he was unable to look at her the same way as before.
From seeing her small breasts, which he now knew for a fact fit on his hands, to the very memory of all evenness that he now was able to associate with the sheen her skin exhibited from certain angles, Ryo realized he had lost the ability to gauge her emotions without feeling a hint desire.
She noticed how long he was staring at her and a hint of yellow appeared. "I don't need everything, but nothing is not enough!"
How did Ryo fail to see that this conversation would inevitably happen when they were having fun at night?
"Oh!" He was unable to keep his mouth shut, which resulted in red and purple manifesting on her skin as he felt the pressure for a quick reply.
He had heard the Irisians speaking terms such as chosen, mate, and family, but Ryo didn't know much about this, and now was not looking like a good time for asking for clarification.
The translator would do its job in conveying his intention. But what would he say? Friends with benefits maybe? He gave up that one on the spot; he didn't consider their previous relationship a friendship, and somehow, he felt a dangerous desire to want more than that from her.
Under the pressure of his previous mistake, he told her the highest relationship he was willing to have without a care in the world for consulting his superiors. "Is girlfriend good for you?"
Elysira’s eyes widened as her skin maintained the same tones. But it lasted only a second before a golden hue took over, leaving little room for her black spots. "Wait, are you serious? I never thought you would consider anything more than being my exclusive pair."
"I am serious, but what's the difference?" Ryo instantly felt he could have gotten away with being just friends with benefits.
"Two differences." She took her clawed hands from the pockets of his jeans and pressed them against his neck in a fast but controlled movement. "One is implied trust." Her head approached him slower as if she would kiss him, but instead, her lips diverted toward his ears where she whispered, "And the other is a promise for the future."

As he said that, Elysira had already started taking little bites on his earlobe, her other hand joining around his neck while her tail was sneakily pushing the rest of her body on top of him.

Ryo was about to give up the time they had for breakfast, when a powerful explosion shook the ground, causing the whole tent to vibrate.
Elysira’s pointy ears began to twitch and her body receded, trying to get of clue of what happened as she displayed purple. "I hear nothing."
"This was not far from here; I don't think it was a landslide." Ryo summoned a window with all the cameras outside and found nothing unusual, even with the infrared inspection.
Elysira could see what he was doing since they had never left the shared augmented space.
"Can we see what Amara is doing? She might know more than us."
He still was incapable of referring to her as his girlfriend even in his thoughts, but he still felt a hint of pride for her quick thinking. "Let's see."
He quickly summoned a live feed and promptly instructed the AI to go through the recordings of the whole night. "Nathan and that princess are still inside the tent. Time to go there."
Ryo wasted no time explaining, quickly standing up to begin the search for his underwear. The floor was still littered with paper sheets, and there were even some opened water bottles around, but he still found what he was looking for before pulling his jeans from under Elysira’s butt and getting dressed with haste.
He wore his shoes but didn't bother with his shirt and jacket, just taking his already loaded gun from the holster and getting some spare ammunition before heading outside cautiously.
"I'm going with you." She got out of the tent almost at the same time as him, proving that not needing clothes had its advantages.
"Stay close." He activated the infrared view mode and scanned the surroundings just to be sure, then hasted his steps towards Nathan's tent which was about forty meters ahead.
There was little he expected would go wrong on such a short journey, but Elysira’s ears began to twitch halfway through, prompting him to stop advancing. "Hear someone?"
"Something." She then used her tail to point uphill, in the direction where the rest of the group had set camp on the previous day. "I think it's a drone."
"Fuck, I hope you are wrong." He raised his 3D-printed revolver and felt like cursing more at the fact he didn't even have a proper pistol, pulling back the harmer and getting himself in front of Elysira.
Thanks to her acute hearing, when he heard the buzzing of the drone, his gun was already pointing in the right direction. Upon getting the first glimpse of the flying object and noticing how fast it was moving, he didn't hesitate to do a partial activation of combat mode.
The world slowed down for a moment, allowing him to see the device flying among the very few beams of blue light that made their way through the canopies. He didn't wait a single second and corrected his aim slightly to the left before pulling the trigger.

The drone was torn to pieces and many parts fell about twenty-five meters away from them, at a distance that any explosives wouldn't hurt himself or Elysira.
When his eyes found her behind him, there was yellow and purple on her skin as she asked, "What if it was friendly?"
"The owner can send the bill up the chain for all I care." Ryo lowered the gun and did a full scan all around once more, only to find nothing again.
Her tail wrapped around his arm as all purple on her body disappeared, leaving only a hint of yellow. "Amara won't be happy if it was hers."
Just as Elysira spoke, a circular door opened on Nathan's tent, and Amara took a step outside with red filling her body.
Ryo pictured a scene of a princess complaining about her lost drone, but things only got more complicated instead.
Nathan emerged after her, and the pair began to argue loudly about what to do now that a war had broken out; Amara wanted to march uphill to join her guards, but Nathan held her by the tail when she was about to leave and prevented her for moving, saying it would be too dangerous.
Their argument turned into a messy mixture of the present situation with Amara sulking about a wasted night, which led Ryo to exchange a look of surprise with Elysira.
But their surprise only lasted a moment and Ryo decided he couldn't let those fools keep wasting valuable time.

He had their attention now. "Please don't tell me you're mad because the plant lover couldn't get it up."
Under normal circumstances, Ryo had no doubt his assholish behavior would only instill shame and improve their cooperation.
However, he forgot to account that he was not wearing a shirt, leaving all his scratches exposed while Elysira was disheveled by his side, which caused Nathan's jaws to drop followed by Amara throwing an indignant gaze at Elysira and then at Nathan, who gave Ryo the feeling he might snap at any time.
"Why are you here?" Nathan's calm voice didn't match his clenched fist and rigid posture.
"Information. I want her to tell me what she knows about this war." Ryo had learned about the war by overhearing their previous argument.
Surprisingly, Amara was cooperative. "My brother's army found our position. They were not aware I was here with Nathan and ambushed the rest of my people and Zara; you destroyed their drone but if they saw us they might have a good reason to come here."
"Fuck!" He turned to Elysira and ordered. "Go back and gather my things. Take the essentials first, we are leaving."
Elysira used her tail to squeeze his arm in acknowledgment and rushed back. But when she had barely taken a few steps, she stopped as her ears moved. "More drones are coming!"
After alerting him, she ran to accomplish her task, leaving Ryo in the company of just Nathan and Amara.
"Isn't that great?" He grumbled to himself, but his voice carried loudly, obtaining the pair's attention as he raised his revolver again.
Knowing that the enemy was probably aware of their position, Ryo used infrared view mode to ensure they weren't using the drones as a distraction to pull off an ambush.
And that didn't seem to be the case when the first machine appeared, flying downwards in zigzag from the concentration of trees uphill.
Again Ryo used a partial activation of combat mode and aimed at the drone, yet this time more of them appeared, leaving the cover of the woods in groups of three until there were nine of them in total. But they didn't even try to get close this time, choosing to hover next to the canopies more than two hundred meters away from him, and assuming something akin to a structured formation.
This was extremely weird and enough of a reason for him to retreat a little, getting closer to his tent and taking cover behind a tree.
Nathan and Amara moved too, the botanist getting inside and returning with his gun while Amara's colors blended with his tent becoming hard to spot.
Assessing the new situation in an instant, Ryo concluded it would be better not to engage and retreat considering that those drones would be hard to take down at such distance. But things changed again quickly when the AI triggered a pop-up window, showing that several of the cameras he had set up in strategic places were capturing movement.
And what he was seeing now were several armed groups of Irisians heading towards their position, confirming Amara's supposition that the rebels were coming for them.
With the situation getting grimmer with every passing moment, Ryo thought of a possibility for what the drones might be doing, but his mind was still refusing to believe that the rebels could be as organized as his worst-case scenarios were giving them credit for.
To test this, he immediately tried to contact the space station through radio transmission, and since being found by the enemy was no longer an issue, he set the transmitter to maximum potency to validate his test.

He frowned even though that was not totally unexpected.
With only a few minutes at best before this place was filled with enemies, they would have to leave fast or they would be at the mercy of the enemy.
But first, there was something he wanted to say to Nathan, who now was using his tent for cover together with Amara. "Listen up, those fuckers are jamming our comms and they will be here at any time. Take the MLBCS and find a clearing to use it, I doubt they can interfere with the laser. Just don't forget that your immediate safety comes first or else you might not be among the living when the pod arrives."
Ryo and Nathan were technically enemies, but the last casualty in the war between Earth and Mars had happened several years in the past, ensuring that he had no reason to wish any harm for the botanist even though he didn't like him.
As for Amara, it was a little different. He hurried back to his tent without saying anything to her. And he did that not because he wished her harm, but simply because he didn't understand what she had at her disposal to offer any useful advice.
"Wait, what are you gonna do?" Nathan shouted from a distance.
With the adrenalin of seeing how many Irisians were coming helping his sincerity, he shouted back. "I'm not leaving the planet unless mission control finds a way to save Ely too."
After that, Nathan and Amara disappeared from his mind as he took cover behind his tent, slamming his hand against the foldable fabric many times to get Elysira's attention. "Hurry up, we can't stay here any longer."
She left immediately after, struggling to maintain balance as she used a hand plus her tail to carry his backpack, while her gun threatened to tumble from her gasp in her other hand.
And besides, one thing that Ryo’s eyes were immediately drawn towards was the clothes she was wearing—his clothes. While her legs were still exposed, his jacket still covered a bit more than her hips, loosely engulfing her slender frame like a billowing sail.

He might have allowed her to keep the jacket if not for it being an inconvenience to her, so he just took it, making the first time he saw her wearing clothes a very short experience.
"No time for that, it won't fold with all the paper you left on the ground." He said as he swiftly slipped his arms into the sleeves of the jacket and zipped it up in one smooth movement.
Ryo was already considering which path they would take to flee when he noticed something terrible—Elysira’s skin had just been filled with gray as tiny black spots began to appear and disappear as if rain on the sand of a desert.
"What's it now?" He asked, trying to hide how unprepared he was to deal with this.
"Nothing has changed." Elysira averted her eyes. "I'm a burden to you just as I was to Amara. If I had-"
"Oh, shut up and quit the self-pity!" Ryo realized he was being too harsh, but still went on to finish it. "The paper is our mistake and I'm staying because I like you. This simple. Now get your gun and use your goddam camouflage, just like that princess is doing."
Ryo felt awful after saying this, and Elysira seemed quite taken about as she stared at him with wide eyes.
A moment later, however, she bent over and took the gun from the ground, her exterior blending quite well with the surroundings.
Ryo felt bad for her, but now there was no time to talk. "We run now, let's go."
The sound of his own steps was all he heard as they were putting some distance from the tent, making it so that he had to check on Elysira every couple of steps he took to ensure she was following him.
It was only when he heard some gunshots from far behind that he felt her claws tugging at his jacket from behind. "I hope Nathan is like you."

Over on the cryonet emailing list on groups io, Lou gerstner published a post that I think is very important for cryo in general and I'm going to repost some of it here along with my responses to his post (Lou contacted several funeral homes and talk to them about whether they could ship his body to cry on The Institute after his death, and his post is the results of his research) : My response : Well thank you very much for posting this, for doing this research, Lou . This is a very good point, Lou . And something that is incredibly important if we need to if we want to establish cryo as a mainstream movement. Because we can't go mainstream unless we can get the price down to around the same cost as a funeral for the entry level option, which is going to be Oregon brain preservation plus a funeral home.. and this is exactly what I suspected: that there would be spiritual / religious / philosophical objections to cryonics from funeral homes, and that they would be very strong objections..
but this is why I have been doing Bible research that will justify the practice of cryonics Through the Bible
I think and I hope, Lou, that you will recognize that if you had been able to justify cryo using Bible verses, then maybe you could have overcome some of the funeral home objections to cryo and maybe you could even get someone to do your Funeral Home work for you a bit easier .
Over the years, I have put all these Bible justifications out in various videos and many posts throughout the years, but of course Matthew 10:8 is the best one.. where Jesus simply tells his followers to raise the Dead.
You can just tell the funeral home people "this is my religious belief and I base it on the Bible verse of Matthew 10:8, where Jesus tells us to raise the dead.. and I'm trying to raise myself from the dead just like Jesus wants us to do."
As an atheist You may find it silly, but then again we're talking about religion and spirituality which operates almost totally beyond the realm of logic and rationality..
Now here's the most important part in your post that you left out: How much is it going to cost for someone living in the eastern half of America, which is where most Americans live, to have the funeral home get the body and ship it to Oregon cryo/brain preservation foundation ? Or more importantly, how much would it cost for the funeral home to take out the brain, put it in a box of dry ice and ship it to Oregon brain preservation and then donate the body to science?

It started when I was driving down a backroad and I see blue lights behind me. I immediately panic and gas it to over 100 mph, throwing shit out the window, rigs, a half Oz, scales, everything. The blue lights are gaining on me so I hit a dirt road, going insane speeds down this bumpy ass road, eventually, I realize I've rode the back tires off of the vehicle, so I jump out and hit the woods. I see the lights approaching and see flashlights coming into the woods, mind you it's pitch black and it's in a marshy, real rugged terrain, I'm running full speed doing flips and shot over hills and running into shot and the flash lights are coming up on me, and they're getting closer and closer and I am thinking fuck I am about to go to jail. They come up on me and everything goes black.
I wake up not knowing how long I've been laying there and I feel like I've been shot in the chest with a shotgun, I can't move my body and I think I'm dieing. I see a star in the sky that I was fixated pm, and I'm thinking that's where I want to be. Eventually it feels like I die, my body is making weird ticking noises and I feel like I just lose my body, I come out of my body and have these giant angel wings and I start flying up to the star, when I'm about halfway there my wings turned to bone and I fall back to the earth, then several times over, I grow angel wings again and fly away again, only to have the same thing happen again, it felt like I was being taunted that I could never make it to heaven. I eventually snap back to my body again, and wake up another unknown time later.
I managed to stand up, and in my mind I was on this earth all alone, like in some type of purgatory. My body is so weak I can barely move, but I managed to stand up. The bottom half of my vision is solid black and the top half I can see the tops of trees, I eventually see this figure, totally black and tall with a cowboy hat on. It's just standing about 5 foot away and laughing at me. I try to pick up a big stick that was near me but my body was too weak to swing it at it. Every time I took a step forward , it just took a step back and laughed.
There is a fuzzy period here, but fast forward about 2 days later of being completely out of my mind in these woods, I stumble upon and oilfield location that had a little trailer where the workers could stay and it had a jeep parked out front. The doors were unlocked and I went inside trying to get some water out of the faucet, I didn't notice the guy asleep on the couch. No water came out, so I went into this guy's jeep, thinking totally that it was mine, got a crowbar and a wrench and went to the water main and broke into it and turned the water on. I go back inside and start ravenous drinking water out of the faucet.
The guy wakes up and at first thinks I'm a worker. He asked me if I just got hired. I told him yeah and he asked what I drove there and I told him the jeep outside. He looked at me confused and then says that's his jeep. I argued with him and told him that's my friends jeep and I'm borrowing it. He realizes something is fucked up and eventually runs me off while having the phone to his ears, undoubtedly calling the cops.
Three more days go by and im completely out of my mind, everything is like the scariest thing you can imagine and i dont know whats real of fake. Im malnourished, dieing, and freaking the fuck out. eventually I think the cops are after me, and I remembered storing some dope in my boot like two years before, I had on big rubber duck hunting boots, and for some reason I feel like I need to cut the boots up into tiny pieces and bury it. I do this and then run for another day from imaginary police.
I come across this area of trees cut down and there is a guy like 500 yards away on the other side that I'm trying to sign language to that I need help. My tongue was so dry I couldn't yell. The guy wasn't even real and eventually waved at me and drove off. I find a few berries to eat to wet my tongue and eventually collapse in thick thorn bushes staring up at the sky with big sharp thorns in my back thinking, "this wouldn't be so bad of a place to die" I pass out and get up an unknown time later.
I finally found some sort of road and I decide to try to walk down it, but when I do, like 20 world War two bombers fly over and drop these little silver cubes, hundreds of them, these cubes hatch and there's all these miniature snipers in the woods aiming at me. I freak out and start running down this road, and in My mind I'm thinking "okay they're all trying to kill me and I'm unarmed, all I can do to make them think i have a gun is to take my sock off and put it on my hand like a pistol with my fingers" so I do this while running frantically down this road, crazy as a mother fucker.
I finally run across this house and I beat on the door like the police for like 30 seconds and eventually this 80 year old man answers, and sees this crazy fucking site, I'm shirtless, shoes less, with one sock on my hand with cuts and shit all over my body and face, eyes like saucers and looking like the wolf man or some shit. I look dead in this man's eyes and while waving my sock pistol around I tell him "look, if they told you I'm here to kill you, I'm not. I just want to use your phone. " he looks very confused and shut the screen door while calling the police.
I eventually figure fuck it this man isn't going to help me so I run off and break into his back yard. I find the faucet and turn it on and I'm up under it with my mouth open, drinking in water so desperately and fast that I'm throwing up while drinking it. A cop eventually walks up to me and asks me to come with him. He tells me he has water in the cooler in his ride and I can drink that. I am so out of my mind and thirsty and dieing that I didn't believe him and he had to pry me away from the faucet.
He was able to tell after talking to me that I was very much out of my mind and takes me to the hospital. They tell me I have a 78% chance of dieing that I had ketoacidosis and my kidneys were failing. I lived, and after 8 or 9 days of being in these woods with no food or water, out of my fucking mind, with delusions so bad I didn't know what was real or fake, I finally got released and then sent to a mental hospital for two weeks.
This was by far the worst and scariest experience of my life and I would not wish it on anyone. Stay woke friends, and never go into meth induced psychosis.

This is a half venting/half advice-seeking post. I'm 18 months out from my total thyroidectomy, facing my first East Coast summer without a thyroid, and man oh man am I struggling.
I feel like since my TT I'm completely incapable of regulating my own body temperature. I start sweating when there's the slightest hint of humidity, and I find anything over ~74 degrees fahrenheit to be unbearably hot.
Any other sweaty, thyroid-less pals out there who might have tips, tricks, or general empathy? (Or deodorant recommendations. As much as I love my aluminum-free lifestyle, it's clearly not gonna cut it in July)

First of all lets state the obvious. He needs a rollcatcher but I am not going to go in depth with this change, because this would require new animation and Im not that creative.

• Enhanced neutral lights

With this change Conq will not be solely dependant on his mediocre foward bash to start his mixup.

• Chain heavies

Speed them up to 700ms from 800ms.
As it is, his chain heavies are simply reactable and do low dmg compared to other heros. Sure we can increase the dmg, but problem of reactivity would remain and it would still not land very often.

• Chain bash

Now guarantees a chain heavy for 22 dmg.
His bash is 800ms and feintable, but unlike other simmilar bashes like that of Jorm, Tiandi and HL, it only gets him 13 dmg. Jorm gets 26, Tiandi 20 and HL has even faster bash (700ms) and gets 26 dmg.

• Charged heavies.

Add hyper armor at 400ms.
Other then being a bait for his full block or dodge attack, I dont really see value in this move. With this change there would be another valid option, let it fly and trade. This would also improve his team fights a little bit.

• Seperate bash attacks and full block ones.

Conq suffers from very low full block punishes but we cannot just make them do more dmg, because they are the same attacks he preforms after a bash, thats why they need to be serapated.

• Flail Uppercut (full block) dmg change to 15 from 13, gains undodgeable effect
  
• Scutage Collection (full block) dmg change to 14 from 13. Gains hyper at 100ms.
  
• Same Side Chain Lights
  

FH is way past the point where light spam can be called a "valid strategy". Its purely up to someone to open training mode and train. Same side chain lights should be speed up to 500ms and dmg lowered to 13.

• Zone

Lower the dmg to 14 from 15 and make it undodgeable.
At the current speed zone is only useful on prediction to counter GBs or as heavy parry punish. This will give it some much needed utility. Other way would be to speed it up 500ms and lover the dmg 13, but game is full a zones like that, so Imo this makes it a bit more interesting.

• Superior block on dodge

As it is, its kinda useless. My idea would be to add direct 3 dmg to the bash after sucessfully superior blocking.
This may seem as low, but Conq would still get SB followup for 13 dmg for a total of 16, which is still higher then his heavy max punish and full block punish.
With Shield Basher feat total dmg would be 22.

• Feat changes

Our devs would rather jump off a clif then make new feats, so those changes will be purely numerical and some feats will be replaced.
- Tier 1
Conqueror - Capturing control zones is now 25% faster (was 15).
Body Count - Replaced by Deadly.
Those changes will improve his team fights and rotation. Body Count is a good feat, just not for Conq, his mid clean is mediocre at best.
-Tier 3
Punch Through - Replaced by Tough as Nails
Punch Through is useless on Conq because of his chain heavies being UB. Tough as Nails will help him stall fo longer, as heavies should
- Tier 4
Uninterruptible - Now Gains 50% dmg reduction. Cooldown increased to 180 seconds
Essentially replaced by longer Juggernaut without debuff. It may seem busted, but its a T4 after all. There isnt a good T4 that is not at least a little bit busted. Longer cooldown to tune it down a bit.

Hi! I am currently trying to sell my personal vehicle to a private buyer in the state of Missouri. My car was deemed a “total loss” by insurance, however the insurance agent and DMV employees both informed me that my title does not need to be declared “salvage” because the car is older than seven years. I am planning on telling potential buyers that the car has a clean title but I do not know if it will pass a highway inspection. The car has extensive body damage so the buyer will definitely know it was involved in an accident. I guess my question is, how can I protect myself when selling a “total loss” vehicle? I am already having trouble understanding why the title will not be “salvage”. I am worried someone will purchase the vehicle and try to register it in my closely-bordering state, or even in Missouri, and there will be an issue. I sent an email to my insurance agent asking him to confirm that the title will remain “clean” after my claim is wrapped up, what more can I do to protect myself in this situation?
