Hey yall,
I recently lost a very close friend of mine to testicular cancer. He was only 23.
For awhile, I didn’t know how to move on. It felt like everything I would do, whether it be working or doing things I enjoy, I would always carry around this baggage with me that made me feel guilty about whatever i was doing. As if my life was worth less than his. I would constantly ask myself “Why him and not me?” I wouldn’t eat at restaurants we used to eat at, play games we used to play together, etc etc
It wasn’t healthy. This last weekend, I loaded up a FNV save i had been working on before he passed, and decided to give dead money another go, as I hadn’t played it properly in years. It’s now and far and away my favorite dlc of the franchise. The central idea of learning when to let go, and to end unhealthy obsessions before they consume you, really resonated with me for obvious reasons. It may seem impossible or even worse, disingenuous, to finally reach “Acceptance”, to let go of whatever grief or obsession is ruining you, and to move on from the grieving process. Yet it’s a massive, important step and helps remind us of our humanity and love.
Still, despite all this, I locked Elijah in the vault and walked out of the BoS bunker over encumbered with gold, with the gun runners as my final destination. It’s what my buddy would’ve wanted.
Just wanted to share this short story as a testament to how timeless FNV is.

My friend and I became friends at the beginning of the school year- I am very shy so it was a big thing for me to reach out and actively try to be friends with this person. We were like a duo and had very similar senses of humor and similar interests. Recently, He started dating one of our other friends, and I reacted awfully. I tried to remain mature and tell him honestly that it made me uncomfortable, that I knew that was a me problem, and that I wanted some distance. Then we were okay again for a little bit, and I thought that being honest with him about my feelings of jealousy would help, but it made things worse. Him and his boyfriend tried to stage an intervention with me about my behavior, but since it was unexpected and in front of other people I basically ended up having a meltdown/panic attack and uncontrollably crying. I kept on repeating the mantra that I didn't deserve friends and I had the idea in my head that the best thing was to just cut them off for their betterment. I laid low for about a week but the tension was just unbearable, and I was extremely depressed. I gave my friend and his boyfriend both apologies and acknowledged my actions, and my friend said he needed some time to think. Then this morning he texted me asking for space and to not talk about him, and confided in me that my actions really hurt him. I guess I just don't know what to do- I don't want to be the villain in this story but now I can see what my self sabotaging behavior has done to me. I've ruined a friendship, and I feel helpless right now. I need advice on how to improve or come back from this/get over my feelings of jealousy/apologize more then I already have?

Hi! Just looking for some advice on how to tell my friends I’m detransing. I know they won’t be bothered by it but the idea of doing it is very intimidating. I think my course of action would be to send a quick message in our group chat but I’m nervous since we usually don’t have like serious(?) convos in our gc. But I think that’d be the easiest thing to do. How did you guys do it?

I've bene trying to troubleshoot BSOD errors for a friend and I've been trying to isolate the issue from the minidump files using WinDbg. The motherboard had already been replaced through warranty due to similar networking issues, however the NETIO BSOD has returned.
Previously to the new motherboard I had done numerous things including a Reset then USB reinstall of Windows.
Troubleshooting thus far post-new motherboard:
SFC /Scannow
System Restore
As indicated by Research- uninstalled AVG VPN, Auto Driver Updater
Programs in use:
AVG, Zone Alarm
As it has returned it would seem to indicate that a security program is at fault or, perhaps, there is some 'toe stepping' on memory access. Most recent research as also indicated a uninstall reinstall of NIC drivers. I don't often go Dmp diving. I hope someone with more experience in this area can assist in locating the culprit for the NETIO. I hope its something glaring that I'm just missing. If possible could the reading for the solution be explained so I have a better idea of how to procced in the future in these instances. Thank you for your time and efforts.

It's been so many years since I've had a real friend group, and I finally, finally had found one again--one that was really understanding, when this happened. Also, this is my. first post here, so I'm sorry if it's not exactly appropriate? just. have to get this out because i'm still. shaken over it.
I've been recovering for a while now, from all of my trauma and all of the abuse: I know I'm not really there yet, and I don't really know if I ever will be, but as this friend and I were arguing, they mentioned the idea that 'my actions weren't matching with my words lately,'. Which, that struck me very deeply, because, yes, I was a little bit uncomfortable around this person lately. We'd had an argument a couple weeks ago, and the confrontation blew up, and I retreated into myself, and I was definitely being avoidant (and I tried to explain that in the past, I just need time to process these things, to heal after a blow-up like that), but they'd interpreted that to mean I was being passive aggressive (but they were also barely ever around? and I was having issues being around the rest of the group too, at this point, after the argument and in the midst of adjusting to therapy again?? I don't know, I just feel like it has to be my fault). I've spent so much time trying to be kind and considerate of others, and I know I'll fail sometimes in trying to be that, but I do want to be better.
It just reminded me so much of the things that my abusers used to say to me, that I'm not a good person and deserve the treatment they give, that I 'make other people take care of me', that I'm manipulative--I don't know, on some level, maybe I am. I do feel like the bad guy in all of this, because my actions did lead to it, even if indirectly, but. I just don't know what to think.
Keep going back to the idea that, if I was coming off as passive aggressive, then why didn't they say something to me? I didn't want to hurt their feelings, I was just. scared. I guess. I'm scared now that I'll lose this friend group, too, even though I tried really hard to explain this to them immediately after it happened: none of them have spoken to me since. I'm searching around for another rules-medium (or rules heavy) RPG to try, but, I'm a bit lost. Ideally, the RPG should have the following traits.
- Tactical. I like positioning my characters to get the most enemies clogged in an AoE.
- Narrative. There should be dedicated subsystems to conflicts that aren't combat.
- Simulationist. To a degree. Some problems encountered in an RP come from logistics, so things like carry capacity and transport speed are nice.
- Customizable Characters. Multi-classing with easy homebrewing or point buy are nice.
- A Compendium of Pre-built Stuff. Useful to see if I've built stuff properly before I get my engineering brain out.
- DnD 5e. Very first game I played when I got introduced to TTRPGs. While it is easy to tell what the designers intended, it's also easy for players to throw balance out the window quickly. Which is kind of sad because I like some of the homebrew out there.
- Godbound. I loved the process of picking out Words, Gifts, and Facts, but the way the game plays (especially in combat) felt... off? That's the best way I can put it. Lexicon of the Throne didn't provide as much guidance as hoped for making DIY Words.
- Mutands and Masterminds 3e. Fantastic for power building! Enemies can be prepared on the back of a napkin. It's much easier to eyeball how difficult a fight is. It also has support for the narrative stuff as nicely as the simulationist stuff with the Complication system.
At the same time, I've... encountered problems with players ignoring how important Complications are or self-declaring that their Complications give themselves Victory Points? It didn't feel right, but, the game's balance also depends on deliberately bringing those to the forefront.
I do like the idea of gating certain powers behind Victory Points expenditure with Flaws, though. Just the refresh rate can be a pain to figure out.
- HERO 6e. I've built a character in this, but haven't played it yet. Does someone have play experience w/Hero to compare with the games I've played? I do remember reading that HERO 6e takes a different approach to their Drawbacks (point discounts that largely stay in the background). Does have a big library of prebuilt stuff.
- Wild Talents. I've also built powers in this, but haven't played it yet. It's significantly more gritty, but, it is fun to build powers in there. I remember making a body plan where all the brain boxes were in different places. But I'm a bit confused at how to scale things at the cosmic level (which I'm sure needs more than 10d or several Boosters).
- Fabula Ultima. Narrative tools seem a lot more focused than with Mutants and Masterminds 3e. I also like the villain system too since that makes it easier to protect conflict stirrers without as much handwavium. Doesn't have as much simulationist components, but, maybe that can be handled by another system's mechanics.
- PtbA Games. These are a very good case study for how to emulate a specific genre (or a specific kind of story within that genre). It's a bit hard to plug in characters for a more sandboxy environment, though. I think Calypso (a solo PtbA hack) and City of Mist (and sister games) meet the import whatever requirements.
- FATE Games. I like how there's setting books to collect. I like Fudge Dice as a tool since it makes it easy to bell curve positive to negative modifiers. But I don't quite grok Fate Compels?
- xWN Books. Stars Without Number, Worlds Without Number, etc. I like the free extensive GM tools they provide.
- Cypher. I haven't opened the one setting book I got for Cypher in a while. But I noticed I was doing much of the same math Cypher would do when running other d20 games on my own (including some solo friendly games I play currently). Dynamically calculate the DC, then check how many d20's passed the check. Maybe I should give this system a try?

I have seen many people draw speculations about a potential cage match for the past few weeks, but now that we have confirmed dates for the biggest PPV Sunday of the year, thanks to Vince Inkigayo, I thought it would be worth doing a tactical breakdown and preview of the bout.
I think the most significant macro matchup is between Yunah and Hyein. Statistically, the pendulum will swing for who of the two can deliver the most chokeslams across the match. I will give a slight edge here to Yunah as she is starting to touch the hag years and thus has more ajumma strength.
The matchup between Minju and Minji is pretty even, and I believe it will be a dogged brawl to determine the better Minj ("U-Uu-Uu-Uu-you like it's magnetic" vs "Ii-Ii-I-I know what you like boy")
I believe Haerin will be deployed as defence against Wonhee. Wonhee is the master of spitting game, of launching a verbal tirade that obfuscates and befuddles even the most hardened fighter, but you know what is the most effective counter to this? That's right, a furball.
ILLIT however do hold a unique X-factor, or rather the J-factor, in the form of Moka and Iroha. I have no doubt they will be given additional 일본 training by their company sunbaenims, the experienced queen of the ring Cherry Miyawaki as well the fittest former rookie of the year in Lightning McSwan (Kazuha!). I bet they will employ Banzai Drops liberally and will be a threatening physical force in the added verticality that the cage provides.
NewJeans are not without their own advantage though, and that is the massive survivability of the Aussie duo, Hanni and Danielle. They're a hardy bunch, the aussies, and the two of them would already be accustomed to boxing Kangaroos, outrunning Dingos and wrestling with giant arachnids on their way to school.
Of the two, Hanni additionally brings the guerilla fighting tactics of her forefathers to bear, a diminutive danger that ILLIT cannot let fly under their radar.
Which bring us to Danielle, who I believe will ultimate be the one who decides the fate of the match. Why you may or may not ask? Well, everybody knows Dani as the sunshine, the happiest, bubbliest, loveliest kid on the block, bringing the light of life to everyone around her. One would think her entirely innocent and pure of heart. But she has not fooled me. Nobody can possibly be that happy, it is not physically possible. This only points to one thing chingeese.
Danielle is actually the most dangerous one. This is why she can afford to be so carefree. She carries the biggest stick, or the biggest knife as it were, a real knife. I believe on June 2 we will see an entirely different side of Dani. The bright sun will turn red, and just like her fictional namesake who burned down entire cities and armies on the back of dragons for her conquest, we will witness an incineration, some evisceration and ultimately, annihilation. This is what the shaman friend has predicted.
P.S. I got laid off last week and the thought of working class (and also recently unemployed) queen Min Heejin spanking Bang PD (the corporate ruling class) gives me great solace and catharsis.

2024.05.13 22:40 aristhought PSA: Is this a crow in need of help, or is it just a fledgling?
It’s crow nesting and fledging season! A fledgling is a young bird that has just left the nest, and is not yet a fully grown adult.
I’ve seen several posts in this subreddit recently showing concern over a fledgling crow and wondering if it’s injured or how to help it, thinking it might be an adult crow in trouble. All very well meaning, and can’t blame anyone for wanting to help! However, fledglings are usually doing just fine and do not need human intervention, even if they look a little silly and clumsy.
Here’s how to recognize a crow fledgling (non conclusive list, and sometimes they don’t have all of these features but it’s a great place to start):
The general rule of thumb is, if you see a fledgling, leave it alone. It is being cared for and watched by adults - even if you can’t see the adults yourself - and is in an important stage of its development into a full grown adult. It is not recommended to directly feed a fledgling as they’re still very young and may have different tolerances to certain food; adult crows will feed it and hydrate it appropriately.
If it is a particularly hot day, it might be nice to leave a dish of water out. (However there is no need to try and directly hydrate the fledgling, it will either drink it itself or the adults will use it to soak food to feed to it).
The caveat to putting out water is to check if bird flu is spreading in your area. If that’s the case, it may be risky to do this, and definitely follow your local guidelines (some places will recommend against birdfeeders and water dishes).
If you do put out water, you need to very frequently wash the dish with soap and change the water. (Probably a good idea to do this regardless of if bird flu is an issue, as standing water can spread disease between animals fairly easily).
When is it OK to intervene?
Occasionally, a fledgling IS in need of help.
A fledgling outside the nest is normal, a nestling outside is not. Nestlings look far more like what we see in our heads when we think of baby birds - they’ll look quite naked (fledglings on the other hand have full bodies of fluff/new feathers) and quite a bit smaller. If you see a nestling out of the nest, it may have fallen. If it doesn’t look visibly injured (blood/broken bones), try and find the nest nearby and put it back. The myth about birds abandoning their babies if a human touches it is false.
Occasionally, crows (and other birds) will deliberately push a nestling out of the nest. This seems cruel on the surface, but sometimes they do this if they sense the nestling is very sick or something about it might compromise the wellbeing of the rest of the babies. This is pretty rare though, so unless you see a nestling that is visibly sick or injured, definitely go the route of trying to put it back.
If you can’t seem to find the nest, a good bet (if you have the time) is to stay nearby but out of the way of the area. Adult crows will fly in and out of their nests periodically as they take turns taking care of the babies and going out to find food or to keep watch. You can probably spot the nest by keeping an eye out for an adult coming back and maybe disappearing into tree foliage.
Next steps
In the chance that you: - find a nestling that’s either injured/sick, or you absolutely cannot find the nest it fell from - find a fledgling that’s obviously injured or abandoned
Call a wildlife rehabilitation centre ASAP. Do NOT try to feed it or give it anything, nestlings in particular are very vulnerable and they can easily choke on food/water. Only adult crows and trained professionals should be feeding nestlings, and even though fledglings are older, it’s best not to do it yourself as well. It may very well do more harm.
Adult crows might get very mad and divebomb you if you approach/touch a nestling or a fledgling. It’s not personal, they’re just protective of their young and even in cases when their young need help, they have no idea that you’re trying to help it.
Try and wear a hat or hold an umbrella if they’re swooping at you. In the future, to prevent crow grudges, just offer the adults unsalted peanuts or something healthy for crows to regain their trust. (This may take a few tries, but crows do learn and adjust their opinions on people).
Keep an eye on the nestling/fledgling that needs help, and if appropriate, very gently pick it up and keep it in a quiet, dark space (like a well ventilated cardboard box). I’ve seen several posts in this subreddit recently showing concern over a fledgling crow and wondering if it’s injured or how to help it, thinking it might be an adult crow in trouble. All very well meaning, and can’t blame anyone for wanting to help! However, fledglings are usually doing just fine and do not need human intervention, even if they look a little silly and clumsy.
Here’s how to recognize a crow fledgling (non conclusive list, and sometimes they don’t have all of these features but it’s a great place to start):
- Pink around their beaks/pinkish mouths
- Paleish blue eyes
- Fluffy feathers
- Pin feathers on the underside of their wings where their flight feathers are growing in (they look like long white tubes and can be seen sometimes if they’re flapping their wings)
- Caws/noises that are more frantic and high pitched than adult crows
- “Please feed me, mom!” behaviour, where they open their beaks, lean back, and frantically flap their wings and caw loudly
The general rule of thumb is, if you see a fledgling, leave it alone. It is being cared for and watched by adults - even if you can’t see the adults yourself - and is in an important stage of its development into a full grown adult. It is not recommended to directly feed a fledgling as they’re still very young and may have different tolerances to certain food; adult crows will feed it and hydrate it appropriately.
If it is a particularly hot day, it might be nice to leave a dish of water out. (However there is no need to try and directly hydrate the fledgling, it will either drink it itself or the adults will use it to soak food to feed to it).
The caveat to putting out water is to check if bird flu is spreading in your area. If that’s the case, it may be risky to do this, and definitely follow your local guidelines (some places will recommend against birdfeeders and water dishes).
If you do put out water, you need to very frequently wash the dish with soap and change the water. (Probably a good idea to do this regardless of if bird flu is an issue, as standing water can spread disease between animals fairly easily).
When is it OK to intervene?
Occasionally, a fledgling IS in need of help.
- If it is in a particularly busy or high risk area (by the road, near where there are outdoor cats, etc), you can very gently move it to somewhere safer nearby. Do not move it very far because the parents will be looking for it.
- If it is obviously injured (bleeding, broken/twisted wing, if you saw it be attacked), keep an eye on it and call a wildlife rehabilitation centre asap. More info near the end of this post about next steps in this case.
- If it seems abandoned (if no adults return for a LONG time - many hours or a full day or night), I would also call a rehab centre first and keep an eye on it. Keep in mind that it is normal for adults to leave fledglings alone in a spot for some time during its maturation, and just because you don’t see an adult doesn’t mean it’s abandoned. Furthermore, adult birds sometimes don’t approach their fledglings if there’s a human nearby, so give it some space and observe from a good distance if necessary.
A fledgling outside the nest is normal, a nestling outside is not. Nestlings look far more like what we see in our heads when we think of baby birds - they’ll look quite naked (fledglings on the other hand have full bodies of fluff/new feathers) and quite a bit smaller. If you see a nestling out of the nest, it may have fallen. If it doesn’t look visibly injured (blood/broken bones), try and find the nest nearby and put it back. The myth about birds abandoning their babies if a human touches it is false.
Occasionally, crows (and other birds) will deliberately push a nestling out of the nest. This seems cruel on the surface, but sometimes they do this if they sense the nestling is very sick or something about it might compromise the wellbeing of the rest of the babies. This is pretty rare though, so unless you see a nestling that is visibly sick or injured, definitely go the route of trying to put it back.
If you can’t seem to find the nest, a good bet (if you have the time) is to stay nearby but out of the way of the area. Adult crows will fly in and out of their nests periodically as they take turns taking care of the babies and going out to find food or to keep watch. You can probably spot the nest by keeping an eye out for an adult coming back and maybe disappearing into tree foliage.
Next steps
In the chance that you: - find a nestling that’s either injured/sick, or you absolutely cannot find the nest it fell from - find a fledgling that’s obviously injured or abandoned
Call a wildlife rehabilitation centre ASAP. Do NOT try to feed it or give it anything, nestlings in particular are very vulnerable and they can easily choke on food/water. Only adult crows and trained professionals should be feeding nestlings, and even though fledglings are older, it’s best not to do it yourself as well. It may very well do more harm.
Adult crows might get very mad and divebomb you if you approach/touch a nestling or a fledgling. It’s not personal, they’re just protective of their young and even in cases when their young need help, they have no idea that you’re trying to help it.
Try and wear a hat or hold an umbrella if they’re swooping at you. In the future, to prevent crow grudges, just offer the adults unsalted peanuts or something healthy for crows to regain their trust. (This may take a few tries, but crows do learn and adjust their opinions on people).
Keep an eye on the nestling/fledgling that needs help, and if appropriate, very gently pick it up and keep it in a quiet, dark space (like a well ventilated cardboard box). Try not to touch it or interact with it very much, because it’s very stressful for young birds to be handled by humans, even with the best intentions, and it’s easy to accidentally injure them further. And one of their parents (the second rude one) called my parents and almost begged and apologized for whatever their son spoke and asked for us to meet in person, which my parents denied. Other parent was not involved. Among the two guys that rejected me, one ghosted while I was genuinely interested and without any idea that he did not like me for my appearance, I was texting him and waiting for response. I felt pathetic about it. Another guy did not tell me anything either but his parents called my parents and informed that they think I am too short for their son and might not be compatible.
Now with the guy that I have been talking with also came to us through the same process as above but families are not at all involved. My parents are anxious that the guy's parents are not ready to get to know us or meet me (because the guy is not exclusive and I am and always been) so it doesn't sit right with my parents and family. The guy is reluctant to involve our families even now because he still hasn't decided upon anything. We are talking like two friends and not like 2 adults wanting to get married (mostly because he isn't) and my parents hate both of us for this. Hi :) Im 18(f), still in school and this guy and I have been on and off friends but hints of interest for about 4 years now and i have heard some rumours about him being a cheater and just all together a bad influence but as I talk to him more and get on calls with him for the past 2 weeks , I do enjoy his company. I have never been in a relationship too so thats what makes me nervous and scared because I am scared to get cheated on or played. My friends often say that it would not be a good idea to go for him but I genuinely think he is a nice person but I dont know if I am being fooled or not because some part of me genuinely has an interest and him and the reason why I did not pursue it was because I have heard so much and also my fears on top of everything just make me feel more scared. Hi all! I'm not an active poster, but an avid reader here. I'm truly at a loss when it comes to my narcisisstic sister-law, and seeking some advice or guidance on how to move forward.
There is a lot of back story here but I've been with my fiance for 10+ years, getting married later this year. My fiance's brother has been married to his wife for a few years now. They have 2 bio children together, and she has 1 from a previous relationship. Her oldest was accepted into the family with open arms, and my in-laws have shown up for him as grandparents since they first met him years ago. My future SIL is a bit older than my BIL and has always been vocally insecure about this (among many things), despite nobody in the family being bothered by it. She's an incredibly insecure person (as narcs typically are) and has always been very vocal about this, but it initially seemed harmless and that she just had self-depricating humor. Her and I formed a "friendship" when my fiance and I first moved to the area, and she seemed funny, kind, and easy to talk to. Things began to take a turn when all she wanted to discuss with me was how "awful" our MIL is, and just generally complaining about other family members constantly. My fiance and I encouraged her to try to address her issues with MIL and others, and tried to be supportive of them and their kids. It eventually got to the point when I realized that this is not just an insecure person that doesn't know her place in the family yet; her true colors began to show and I decided to take a step back and stop reaching out, making any sort of effort to hang out, etc. Since then, things have gone downhill severely with no end in sight. Her and my future BIL live in "crisis mode", as we call it, and there's always some dire situation happening in their lives that requires the rest of the family to drop everything and help them. There's been mental health crises, rehoming their family pets, mysterious allergies popping up, threats of divorce, etc. to name a few. She uses her children as pawns to get what she wants, constantly lies, and is just overall an incredibly manipulative person. This has created major resentment within the family, particularly with our other BIL and SIL. My future in-laws constantly defend their chaotic behavior and try to keep the peace within the family, which ultimately has ended up creating more resentment and issues with everyone.
My fiance had the idea to try to get everyone to begin seeing a family counselor to try to assist with some of the conflict. Everyone began attending about 6 months ago, first as just couples and eventually adding his parents into the mix, etc. To make a long story short, it's been 6 months with little to no change. If anything, things have gotten worse and now N-SIL is essentially refusing to be in the same room as myself and my other SIL. Her and I have never had any issues that I'm aware of, aside from me just keeping my distance from her. Her and other SIL have had some confrontations, so I'm not sure if I'm just guilty by association because we are close friends? MIL has implied that myself and other SIL are to blame for the issues, and she thinks we need to put everything behind us and be the "bigger people". The counselor has discouraged me from reaching out to her directly to hash things out, saying that she "can't handle it" and it will be used against me later. I've asked her directly how to handle someone like this and she simply says to "create boundaries", which I believe I already have done with her.
It feels like my back is against the wall. I can't keep living my life this way with constant conflict and unspoken issues. I'm not a confrontational person by any means, but this feels like we're simply just prolonging the issue and creating more animosity the longer she refuses to see or speak with us. I'm fully prepared to be respectful and cordial with her in the future; we simply will never be friends, and I think I have every right to draw that line.
Has anyone experienced something similar and can offer some insight? Do I continue to attend counseling despite it lack of effectiveness? I'm at a loss!

I live in this perpetual state of self-hatred and disgust. A purgatory of pain. It appears there is no remedy nor motivation within me. I often get motivated by projects or ideas, for a moment it can get exciting, then, once I grasp the reason for this motivation, the underlying, unconscious truth, all motivation ceases to exist and I return to purgatory.
I cannot continue to wrestle with all I know, all I’ve experienced and all I am ashamed of. This pain is unbearable.
I reach out to loved ones, reach out to friends in order to alleviate the friction in my mind. Whilst hidden behind a veil of normalcy. I might appear happy, confident, articulate… perhaps even charismatic. All because I am behind the veil.
I am alone.
I am alone even in confessions of my pain. Because I have learnt that my pain is an eternal suffering shared by many. To communicate this pain is to breathe the virus of my suffering into another. Wrongly so.
Nothing will change the fact that I hate who I am.
People consider me happy, articulate, intelligent, funny, charismatic and confident.
All artificial attempts to display someone that isn’t dying. Someone who is okay. Why? Because I’ve learnt that my pain is an eternal suffering that has plagued many. To talk to a loved one and share my pain, is to breathe the virus of my suffering into another.
I often wonder whether nihilism is the cause. However I feel that it’s your circumstances that alter your perspective of nihilism. I believe if I hadn’t such a traumatising past or at least didn’t completely hate my disproportionate appearance then perhaps I too could laugh into the face of the abyss.
Money means nothing to me, neither status nor clout. The only thing that I would want to pursue is that. Something worth pursuit. But what I want, doesn’t seem to exist.
Currently been bulking for 5 months. Always lived in pain. Very traumatic past. PTSD induced BPD. No psychiatric support. The only thing comforting me is listening to soviet chanson and fantasising about my suicide. I have no intention on killing myself. But damn is the allure bright.
Today I walked out of my gym session for the first time ever.
Right now nihilism is winning. I think if my circumstances weren’t so unbearable then maybe I could laugh in the face of the void

His family refuse to support him, so he's asked me if I can buy him the train ticket (£45 i don't have unfortunately). He has a job lined up in London from this week, but no friends with enough dollar to support him getting here. Does anyone have any wise ideas that don't involve jumping trains?

He gets left out of everything they do, they can invite a dozen people to an event and my boyfriend won't hear about it until after. Everytime he tries to plan something with them they're to busy or 'not interested in said idea', he'll then get ignored if asking what they want to do or asking when they're free.
But when asked about why or pulled up on their actions? They claim they don't do the planning for other things or he's not invited because a girl who used to constantly interfere with his life will be there (she is their friend which isn't an issue, while he was harsh to her about it, he's only asked that she leaves him alone). The way I see it if any of that was true they'd still arrange to do something with him, he's fine planning it.
We even invited them to a holiday park with us, accommodation for free. I earn the most out of everyone who was invited to I was happy to suggest they just pay for travel and food. I (F/ 16) and my friends are going on a trip together and i dont know whether i'm overreacting. (ima going to use alias names) me, allie and nora have been best friends for three years-- it used to be 4 (so there was a pair and a pair) but we stopped being friends with her. so now we are working as a "trio" but deep down i know its a duo + me. they've been hanging out with james and liam a lot recently (me and liam have a past together so it’s kinda awk between us) and become a little group. i dont mind that they are friends at all, because i wouldn't want to be in their little group because of liam. but due to them getting closer i kinda feel like they are on the fence about me. almost like they are on the verge of dropping me, but i can't tell. they invite me to stuff sometimes when it's a bigger group, but's the type of thing if there only 5 seats in the car i'd probably wouldn't be "able" to go. if u get what i mean. but they still talk to me everyday and I still hang out with them on a regular basis also nora is the type of person who gets really defensive/angry when you bring up any type of problem to her, and allie will just follow whatever nora does.
on this trip there are tons of rooms, with king beds and everything. allie and nora said that they get the master (king bed) bc they put the whole trip together and it was their idea. which i didn't really mind at first, because i was going to share beds with lexi. however lexi backed out last minute so that leaves me wondering where i'm going to sleep. there are four other girls going on this trip, sofia, olivia, emma and isabella. sofia and isabella both have boyfriends so they are going to be sharing with them, so that leaves me olivia and emma. nora is friends with emma, and has been for around a half a year so she is way closer to her than any of us. (nora's kind of a floater friend so she has a lot of friends if other groups). i figured why not nora and emma share a bed together since i dont really know her and then me and allie can just share. but no. nora wants her and allie to be in the master bedroom (which is huge btw). not to mention, allie's mom and her brother are also going on the trip, since her mom is our "chaperone". but they aren't getting the master, they're getting another room with just a regular bed. personally i think that allie's mom and her brother should get the master bed because it has its own bathroom too so they wouldn't have to keep leaving their room, and they can jus kind of stay in their own space. i brought up to nora that she's going to have to fit another person in the king bed with her and allie, because that's just so much space for two people when we are trying to fit 19 people in here. i assumed since me allie and nora have been friends forever that i would go in there with them, and i asked allie about it and she said it was good. later i texted nora abt what me and allie agreed on but she was like "no i already promised it to emma she'll get so pissed". so you can't piss off emma but your not concerned about my feelings? so i was like "oh alr who would i sleep with" she goes "emma". so i was like "isn't emma sleeping with you" "no you two would share and if we need to add someone in the bed with me and allie it would be emma". so im jus like uhhh ok?? she laid out the sleeping arrangements and a general overview of who is sleeping where, and let me jus break it down. room 1 (master): allie and nora = king bed. room 2: 8 guys = 2 queen beds + sofa bed. room 3: isabella (nora's cousin) + her bf = queen. room 4: sofia + her bf. room 5: allie's mom + allie's brother. room 6: me, emma, oliva = full bunk beds w/ pull out. I just feel like the best rooms are getting reserved for allie and nora and their fam and literslly gave us the worst room. allie's mom didn't pay nor her brother. and nobody paid more/less for betteworse rooms. so why do they get the best rooms? like jeez even the 8 boys got better rooms than us. and the boys arent even going to be able to fit in that one room bc they are trying to keep a king to just 2 people.
I just feel like they're not looking out for me at all because they text the guys more than me and have more connections in general., but I don't know how to confront them (or if I even should) about it because if I do, I feel like Nora is just going to start getting really angry and defensive, and allie just gonna go along with whatever she says. Not only that but I don't wanna get dropped by them because I really value our friendships but they're treating me like shit and I know that I just don't know how to stop it or whether they care enough. My name is Michael the Alien, and this is my story. It makes no sense, but that’s the nature of a fiction story. Nothing has to make sense on the Internet. sometimes, it can be alien to you. I grew up in a small town on Mars, and I got married. Later in the marriage, everyone was fighting to get me away from my best friend because she was different, and her personality was foreign to them. She was told that she had something called Mars Madness, but another person later said differently. One day, a Mars Marshall was called because of an incident. I told the Marshall that she was declared to have Mars madness, but the assumption was later reversed. He left the second half of that out of his notes. She is mad at me to this day because she is only going off the Notes, but I wish she would watch the Marshall’s video. I recommended a records request light years ago, but maybe those don’t stick around too long because they float away in Mars. One day, we had a fight,and I left the house to cool my head with a friend for a few hours. Mars has a ton of water, so I walked to my friend’s boat. The fish were dangerous, but I accidentally left my solar sword in its lockbox. When I climbed on my friend’s boat, he took me to get space ice cream, and my parent came for the ride. I plugged my communication device in to charge, and it was soon gone. “My dream came true,” someone told me on my friend’s phone. “You’re out of there.” I was then taken to a space station that was away from where normal space traffic would pass through. I had no communication device. After demanding my device for two weeks, I finally got it back with restrictions. “If you don’t stay away from that toxic fish-infested house, you will end up in a different universe,” a deep voice boomed as I got my phone. A fellow Alien read and responded to my messages on my behalf, until one of the friends, who I used to be with, asked to speak to me over the phone. I was allowed to do so as I was thoroughly coached on what to say. Boy, was cooling my head a bad idea… Meanwhile, I learned that a day after my new life began, my best friend called a Mars Marshall to my parent’s house. The Marshall was told where I was, but everyone told him to only tell her that I was fine. I had also learned that on the day I went to clear my head, my friend texted my phone with a farewell message to my best friend, then copied and pasted it to her with my device. I sent screen shots of that to my old girlfriend. Somewhere along the way, I was taken to a building to sign a few moon-lit documents as they tried to float away from me. Before we ever did that, my friend was feverishly typing on his space computer. I later learned that it was on my behalf for the papers that said, “I pushed you away in space, now stay in motion away from me.” A Mars Marshall delivered the writing to my best friend. At least I didn’t end up in a black hole somewhere.
