For some reason it’s become a pretty standard take to repeat that “POCs invented punk music”, when anyone with more than a surface level understanding of the genre can easily verify that it isn’t true. It’s understandable to say that there were important black punk bands that didn’t get enough recognition in their time, but even the ones people cite as the “true originators” (Pure Hell and Death) came a number of years after the stooges, the mc5, white light/white heat, etc., all of which had a significantly more identifiable influence on what became punk. I just saw a video where a woman claimed that “a black woman invented grunge” because there was one Seattle punk band (among many) fronted by a black woman. Ahead of her time and under appreciated, sure, but it’s insane to suggest that one person “invented” a genre with a pretty nebulous definition in the first place, especially when her music didn’t sound all that much like grunge. Black musicians were definitely exploited and undercompensated for their massive contributions to American culture, but it’s frustrating to see just how much basic history people can ignore in order to feel ideologically validated.

Hey all, I figured folks here might have insight, since the general stance is one of skepticism. Now to the point... How do you engage with or define what you consider to be spiritual?
About 20 years ago I abandoned faith in Christianity. My reasons related to unsatisfied questions about the morality of God's plan, as well as the dubious nature of my "spiritual" experiences at camps and worship services. After a certain point I came to realize that music and emotional priming were manipulating the emotions of attendees at these services, and being attributed to a moving of the Holy Spirit or evidence for a relationship with God.
Since that time, I've been unable to fully trust feelings like that. First, I find that such emotional states are fleeting and inconsistent. With that being the case, I have difficulty in deriving a consistent meaning from such experiences. Furthermore, I don't want to feel like I'm deluding myself by attributing meaning to something that likely has none.
How might I be able to reframe the ways I think about spirituality, that won't leave me feeling deceived by a system or by myself?

Someone in this subreddit asked "What are you supposed to do after big priced movement caused by reports and news?" They deleted the original post while I was writing this comment but I figured someone may find my response useful.
The way news releases impacts the rest of the day's price action varies significantly. Often enough we see some chop after the RTH open and then a slow but relentless grind in one direction. Maybe a late day reversal back to a key level on the volume profile, especially if a double distribution is printed. But I prefer to use the movement caused by news in a different way.
I trade NQ but the same concept holds for any equity index futures. Think of these large price moves like trading a gap. The rule is that all gaps fill. We don't know why they fill or when they will fill, but the parabolic move printed from the release of the news will someday be retraded during an RTH session. I want to stress that it MUST happen during an RTH session, again, just like a gap must be filled during an RTH session.
The first way I use news releases: I recommend marking the price action from the news release on your chart for future reference and consider using it as a target for a trade. Consider aiming for the 50% level or aim for a key price level that was broken due to the parabolic move. Or better yet, if you have access to footprint / historical level II volume data look at the imbalances, absorptions and potentially lack of auction within the price action for evidence of resting orders waiting to be filled, especially if they line up with key levels broken during the move (for example, breaks of prior RTH high/low, breaks of prior ETH high/low, breaks of trend lines, etc). Notice how yesterday's downward parabolic move was not retraced during an RTH session. That will be a target for a future short trade.
This is the second way I use news releases: Often enough, when gaps are filled we find resting orders and price reverses after the fill. Same concept here, when the parabolic move is retraced, you may find traders looking to enter. Also, just like a gap, when the price action from the news release starts getting filled, we don't know if it's going to fill all at once or in segments over multiple trading sessions. It's worth repeating that as the move is getting retraced, you may find buyers/sellers waiting to enter near key levels, especially breaks of prior RTH high/low, breaks of prior ETH high/low, and breaks of trend lines. Nearby those breaks of key levels you will find price levels that lacked sufficient auction, strong imbalances, absorptions, low volume zones, etc etc, these sorts of things you can find in the level II volumetric or footprint candles. As always, look for your trade entry criteria to present itself prior to entering the trade. Personally, I look for an RBR or DBD on a 2584 or 4181 NQ tick chart after arrival to the level. I generally enter on the break of the basing (second) candle.

They’re like family to me. I love them so much. The connection, no matter what, was always there for the both of us. Me and the other person was and still are very emotionally connected to each other. But sometimes they’re a little too much for me. They drain my energy at times and is pretty much negative. I see the good parts in this person, but it’s hard when it’s just too much. I also feel like i’m walking on eggshells with them. If i bring something up that has been bothering me, then they will make it all about them and be furious. But at the end, they will apologize to me. I can tell they have done some thinking because the apology seem sincere. I don’t know if this person will change because i cut them off after this and didn’t give them a second chance. Deep down, i have a feeling that they will never change, or i think i will be the one getting urt even more trying to force or make things works with them.
What should i do?

I have two music libraries; one is my primary library, the other is my 'extended' library which includes various singles, albums I've not yet listened to etc.
If an album is deemed worthy, it moves to my main library. In doing so, does moving that file in my folder structure mean it retains its play-count, its rating, etc. or is that lost? I want to be able to shuffles songs between libraries without that data being lost.

Ok so due to mental illness, was pushed through High school and dropped out of college after multiple attempts. I worked at two jobs my whole life both for under 6 months. And one i got fired from. I have been working on intensive therapy for the last 7 years and have not worked. My symptoms have gotten a lot better, but I am afraid to drive, I'm terrified of strangers, to leave my house unescorted, and to be out in public without someone I trust. I contact Delaware Vocational Rehabilitation to help me find a job. I had a phone call with a lady that I thought went well, but apparently, i interrupted a lot and was disrespectful somehow, DVR won't give me the details and shuts me down when I try and bring it up. They send me for a Psych Eval. The guy reports back that I am unstable. DVR is reluctant to work with me now. Tell them I need a stay-at-home job that is not a phone job. They tell me there are no stay-at-home jobs and one person has been on a waiting list for over a year looking for one. They strongly encourage me to find another path. I say I will try and get disability.

I have no sellable skills, I can't dance, draw, craft things, or sing/play music.
During a psychotic episode that lasted a while, I tanked my credit score. I can't get a loan.
I live with my Mother she supports me and takes care of me financially. But her finances are strained and she can not loan or give me money any more than she already is.
I cannot afford to take classes, even if I could take them all remotely.
I need (at least) a semi-reliable paycheck.
I am also Transgender and want bottom surgery and even with insurance, I am a long way away from being able to afford it. I also want to help my mother financially.
Now I'm not sure what to do next. Honestly, it feels like my best option is to sell pictures of myself. Which I don't feel bothered about doing but I am afraid of hurting future prospects. But also like what future prospects am i protecting really?

Slovak PM Robert Fico, a pro-Putin populist, has been shot multiple times while visiting small Slowakian town Handlová. Politico reported he was hit in the head and chest. Aktuality.sk reports he was shot once in the stomach and twice in the arm. A 71-year-old former security guard has been arrested. Fico was transported to a hospital in Banská Bystrica. There was a planned rally in the town to protest the controversial overhaul of Slovakia's radio and TV services. That rally has now been canceled.

Why is all this relevant?
Slovakia used to be part of Czechoslovakia. Hitler occupied the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia in 1938 after France and the U.K. ceded control. After WWII, Czechoslovakia became a communist state under defacto Soviet tyranny via the Warsaw Pact. Four Warsaw Pact countries invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968 in response to the Prague Spring. In 1989, when the USSR started collapsing, the Velvet Revolution restored democracy. Czechoslovakia dissolved in 1992 into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The capital of the Czech Republic is Prague (which I visited and regard as the most beautiful city I've ever seen) and the capital of Slovakia is Bratislava. Slovakia borders Ukraine directly and is geostrategically important.
Robert Fico is a highly controversial pro-Putin populist attempting to mimic Viktor Orbán's takeover and de-democratization of neighboring Hungary to the South. Quoting from a Politico article from March this year:

Fico is “trying to create a mafia state … where the primary goal is to keep the pyramid of power functioning,” Michal Vašečka, a political analyst at the Bratislava Policy Institute said.

My fiancé (M) and I (F) are getting married at the end of the summer. We have been engaged for a little over a year and picked our wedding date and venue around one month after getting engaged.
My fiancé’s brother and his significant other got engaged almost 2 years ago and decided to get married at the beginning of this summer. They decided on our wedding date a few months after getting engaged. Our weddings are a little over two months apart.
My fiancé (M) and I (F) struggled with picking a wedding date because of multiple family conflicts as well as we didn’t want to wait two years from getting engaged to get married.
The issue I’m having is that before picking our wedding date we confirmed with my fiancé’s brother and his future wife (my future in-laws) that this two month time period was not an issue for them. So since they told us that there was no problem, we decided to pick our wedding date two months after theirs.
Since we’ve picked our wedding date, my fiancé‘s brother’s future wife has completely ignored my entire existence. She has not talked to me, she has not looked at me, she has deliberately gone out of her way to pretend I don’t exist. This drastic change was very hard for me as we were extremely close before we picked our wedding date. I have even heard from other family members on my fiancé’s side that she is has stated that the only goal of her wedding is to make ours look bad.
This has been really hard on my fiancé and I to the point where other family members (on his side) have noticed this change in the family dynamic and have been asking us how we are doing and feeling empathetic to our situation.
It has now been over one year since this has started and really just wanna know if I’m the asshole in this situation.

Hi all! I'm new to n8n, I'm self hosting and have no issues with setup/authentication, but I kind of have no idea what I'm doing. Please help or point me to any guides which might help me to figure this out.
I'm trying to create an automation which fetches a monthly archive of chess game data from a public API endpoint set up by chess.com, parses it and enters it game by game into a database on Notion, triggered by a click, intended as a one-time import.
As an example of the API endpoint I'm working with, (apologies to Kamryn I'd just rather stay anonymous so using her games as the ex.), https://api.chess.com/pub/playesmalltowngoose/games/2024/05
The properties in my Notion database are Url, PGN and timeclass, which are also properties delivered by the API call, which is handy, and I'm happy for these to be copied word for word. I'd also like to snip and extract some information based on logical operators: for each game where the white>username is e.g.smalltowngoose, i'd like to display the white>result in an additional property in my Notion database named Result, and otherwise display the black>result. You can see what I'm getting at, if the username is my target username, I want to display the result for the colour of pieces they played the game with in a Result property. I also want to identify the Opening played via the PGN, remove the dashes between the words, and display that in an Opening property in Notion.
I'm also then trying to create a secondary automation which simply updates the target Notion database with any new entries added to the monthly archive API (reflecting further games played during the month), without affecting or duplicating the existing entries.
I've set up an HTTP request node which successfully fetches all the data here. But I can't seem to figure out how to use the HTML extraction node to get the data I need, parsed for game by game. I seem to only be able to drag extraction values for single games, rather than the value as applied to any and all games. If I can figure that out, then although I'm pretty sure I could set up my first automation which transfers the data, I don't know how to configure nodes to achieve my second automation.
Honestly help with any part of this would be helpful, I've been scouring the web for solutions and youtube but half of it goes over my head and the other half is useful information which I can't figure out how to apply.

Since I dont go to the gymnasium, the high school where you can more likely study after school, but to the 'lowest' high school, which only hast 3 years of school and i'm at my 2nd one, I have to know what iob i'm doing after school. (Sorry, this is going to be a longish read)
Arkane were one of my favorite developers out there. Dishonored 1 and 2 are among the best games I´ve ever played and Prey: Mooncrash is an amazingly brilliant little game.
I was looking forward to Redfall the moment I heard of it. Sure, making a multiplayer looter shooter seemed a little odd for Arkane Austin, but I figured innovation and experimentation lies in trying out weird new stuff, and while also not initially sold on the concepts that tie Mooncrash together, after trying it, I have to say it´s mechanically probably the best game they´ve put out so far (despite preferring the art, music and setting of the Dishonored series). So, despite already owning a PS5, I decided to purchase a Series X: I would get all the Dishonored games "for free" on GamePass, plus get to play Arkane´s future exclusives.
When Redfall came out and saw the whole debacle and read the reviews, I was bummed out. I tried the game for 5 minutes, saw it was janky and messy, and figured I wouldn´t ruin it for myself nor ask for a refund. I´ll wait it out: they´ll have to come around and fix it, and once that is done, it still won´t be Arkane´s greatest game, but I´ll try it as a finished product and evaluate it on its own merit. After all, if No Man´s Sky, a game made by 17 people at a tiny company could redeem itself and churn out an at least decent product then surely Arkane, backed by the might and wealth of Microsoft, could at least fix the game... I swore to not touch the game until they fixed it.
And so I waited... for over a year I waited, only to find out there will never be a finished product. They would never deliver on the things they promised. Hell, there would never be an Arkane Austin again... All those brilliant artists and game designers, fired...
So, seeing that finished product would never come, I decided to sit down and play Redfall as it currently stands. To at least see what parts of that Arkane DNA shined through a problematic product. This is my experience with it:
I boot it up, create a new character and start a new game. My first thought is that they seem to have fixed or tweaked the default camera movement. It still doesn´t seem perfect, it still seems a little too fast, but it seems better. Second thought is: wow, the Arkane character design and environmental art is like a cup of hot chocolate. This may be a messy, unfinished, janky game, but it still looks beautiful and the world looks somewhere between cartoon and realistic and brimming with magic and mystery.
I leave the ferry and make my way up towards the fire station. I evade some cultist goons. The stealth seems simplified and a bit silly but I don´t care, I´m enjoying myself. I get to the fire station, shoot up some goons outside. Again, the shooting is pretty simple, not brilliant, but I love the lighting and evironments, I love the little notes I find scattered around. This is nowhere near the MONUMENT that Dishonored 2 is, but it still feel´s like mommma´s cooking. I feel right at home.
I enter the fire station, clear up the various rooms and I´m told there is a vampire down in the basement. I get down there and I can see its shadow projected onto the floor as it devours its prey in an exaggerated fashion as it speaks in a "spooky", campy voice. Lol, so silly, I approach it from behind and fire my shotgun into it. Suddenly it zips to my left, then to my right, I´m searching for it with my flashlight, I realize that even though the game is campy and silly my heart is racing and I´m loving it. The vampire is upon me and I fire several shots into it, hitting a few and missing a few, and then I finally impale it and exhale a sigh of relief.
THIS IS BRILLIANT! I´m gonna tell my friends to download this. I love playing coop and this game may be unfinished and janky but it´s still gonna be a lot of fun!
I take on my first mission and leave the fire station. I think to myself: I need to save! Wait... What?!? I can´t save?!? Oh, right! This is one of those ALWAYS ONLINE games... Arkane Austin was days away from releasing a much requested offline mode but now they never will... Damn...
Ok, so the game will save itself at certain checkpoints... Well, that sucks but let´s roll with it. Let´s try to find those crashed helicopters.
I make my way down the spooky street, past broken-down ambulances and corpes strewn about and then all of a sudden...
I lose connection to the server and I´m back at the main menu...
Shit... I was having so much fun... This broke my immersion big time but I was having so much fun... Let´s get back inside.
I´m back in the fire station basement. Head upstairs, out onto the street, make my way down the spooky street, past broken-down ambulances and corpes strewn about. I reach a strange pillar and find a group of cultists around it. I easily put them down but a vampire is drawn to the gunfire. It drains my blood and almost kills me, but I manage to back away and heal. Now it´s coming towards me at full speed, I shoot it as it comes towards me and then... I lose connection to the server and I´m back at the main menu...
This time I´m slightly less enthusiastic to rejoin the game...
I´m back in the basement of the fire station, I head upstairs, out onto the street, make my way down the spooky street, past broken-down ambulances and corpes strewn about. I kill the goons and a vampire, I keep walking down towards a group of dimly lit houses only barely illuminated by a TV set emanating the speech of some monstrosity. It´s all very atmospheric and nice. And then I lose connection with the server again...
Fuck this game. I tried to enjoy it on its own limited terms, but even there it failed me.
And above all: FUCK MICROSOFT. I bought an Xbox when I heard they were purchasing Bethesda, the owners of Arkane, the best company for my favorite genre out there: immersive sims. Microsoft has all the money in the world, I want to see what comes out of this! Turns out they only bought the company to downsize? Should have never purchased Bethesda in the first place then. Fuck MS and fuck Xbox, crappy greedy company run by incompetent idiots lacking a clear vision for how to stand out in the videogaming market.

Tldr;I wasn't a religious person for a while and never pray or attend church for some time. Then i met a girl who bring me closer to God. God shows several signs that she is the one, but I broke up with her a few weeks ago.
I had a gf and we have been together for some time and somehow with her presence she brings me closer to God, even though she is not religious herself or go to the church at all, she is a christian but never practiced it, but sometimes she knows couple of verse and soothe me using that verse to calm me down when I'm stressed out, she is also kind and loves me.
Every night after a good night call with her, I always got the urge to pray, and in my prayer I express happiness to met her and to finally get back to Jesus Christ, I ask signs if she is "the one" for me from the Lord
And He always deliver, after several months my relationship with my gf sours because of a personal issue that I'm not comfortable sharing here.
It causes several arguments where I get hurt everytime, I pray to the Lord and He keeps showing the sign that she is the one, however I think I'm too impatient and i already hurt so bad because of the arguments and insults, so I decided to break up with her.
When I broke up with her my parents is quitr happy because they don't like my gf.
Few days later my gf calls me and want to apologize, she then ask to be close again because she still loves me and misscme so much, but for now she want us to start over from friend for now, which infruriates me even further so I block her.
Today I unblock her and want to apologize but she says that she hates me.
Now I'm very confused if this sign is correct or not?

So I've always enjoyed electronic music, from Daft Punk to Air to Kruder & Dorfmeister to Orbital to Underworld to Sasha & John Digweed. The latter has been a huge source of inspiration from attending their shows and feeling the pure MAGIC from the primal tribal dancing, to the immaculate inclusive vibes, to the DJs looking like alien brain surgeons that are laser focused on crafting a progressive journey with so many swirling sub genres together, their sets always feel like a love letter to the decades long history of dance music.
I need creative expression, I need a hobby that isn't video games or hiking.
The passion for learning how to DJ hasn't really ever left me, and I'm someone who's interests can fluctuate a lot, that's an unwavering cue to give it an honest effort and see where it leads, if anything, to rule it out or just to experience novel joy.
What would be the most minimalist/accessible way to start learning and practicing DJing, from a hardware perspective, maybe an All in one setup? Also in terms of the easiest/least technically cumbersome DAW and music library storage software
I'm looking for bare bones simplicity, focusing on fun and ease of organization.
I can get easily overwhelmed with the learning curve of music hardware/software, all the different buttons, so user friendliness & intuitiveness is important

I know it may take some time for this post to get responses which is ok with me. I just wanted to describe myself, talk about my experiences, and hopefully gain different perspectives and ideas about how my identity is interpreted.
I have typed myself for a very long time, and is generally a type I return back to, as an ENFP sx/so 7w6 749, but I am also open to different perspectives of how my personality presents itself and how it is interpereted by the world. I often don’t feel like I perfectly match the description of this type. I’ve been open to different types (ENTP 7w6, ENFJ, INFJ, ISFP, INFP) but I feel like the enneagram associations and subtypes don’t match me well enough to be my main type. I feel that although I currently identify myself as an ENFP, I’m not the stereotypical version of one who is presented as wild, carefree, intrepid, insolent, rebellious. I used to be this type of person to an extreme extent, and still carry many of these qualities with me, but through maturation and observing the patterns of my own behavior which have been considered unflattering to others, I’ve learned that I was projecting an unfavorable image of myself in the past. My Ne was too strong with caused me to be at odds with my environment, and generate many unnecessary conflicts. I want to be as honest as I can in this post, and hopefully somebody here will be able to resonate with what I’m saying and feel understood.
So I’d like to describe my key characteristics, qualities, identifiers:

• I consider myself to be someone with a sx/so instinct. This is because I am a very artistic, sensual, passionate, and creative person who sees a lot of potential/possibility in everything. I am in my head a lot imagining things which aren’t tangible to the world. I imagine things which are abstract and of a separate dimension, because it helps me make art and extract all the beauty from the world which I can. This aspect of my personality also makes me very sexual, both physically and mentally, as I crave deep intimidate connections before anything else. I like presenting myself in ways which project sensuality, desire, and passion outward toward the world. I don’t mean dressing in a sexual way, but I mean utilizing my appearance to create an internal romantic image of myself. I like to dress in dark, sensual colors, florals, style my hair so it’s perfectly curly and romantic, perfect every aspect of external projections (my room, my appearance, my personality, and my art) to the degree of matching the emotions I feel and the intensity of my fantasy. I’m aware that this is a very 7 type narcissistic activity to engage in, because it assumes the role of inflating how the self is interpreted and is fraudulent in its presentation. It makes the self seem more significant and worthy of esteem than it actually is, but I also have some other traits which oppose my instincts.
• I want to experience my emotions deeply, completely, and fully throughout my whole body. I also want to be seen as a calm person who is worthy of respect. I don’t share my insecurities, my losses, or my misfortunes anymore. I’ve made the mistake of revealing my weaknesses in the past and I have made a vow to myself to never do that again. I also want to be calm internally, since falling into a victim role has been a behavior which I have identified with in the past, and I’ve realized it wasn’t going to help me in the social or economic world. I always want to be able to be strong in the world. I want to overcome my setbacks and remain optimistic, resilient, and strong-willed no matter what. I want to be able to handle the worst kinds of situations and not bat an eye, although it goes against my inherent instinct of Fi, since throughout my life I’ve gravitated towards intensity and feelings my emotions deeply. Whenever I was insulted, I would try to figure out every angle of the intent of the person, the future implications it has on me, and attempt to defend myself against any possibility of injury it could have towards my state of being.
• I am quite a social person around people who don’t like being as social, but I tend to be less out there when I’m around people who I know I am hesitant to trust. I love engaging with the world and learning about new people. I love people. I love excitement and energy. I also like figuring people out, their underlying motives and intentions, or just how they interpret the data from the world around them. I’ve been described as lowkey though, not really too quiet but not loud either. I find myself gravitated towards all things sexual and intense in nature, and I find myself tied to the physical world often. I like really physical and worldly music. I like expressing sensuality, energy, artistic depth, and beauty through my art.
• I am a physical person with an off the charts libido. This is why I hesitated to type myself as an INFP in the past, since the highest correlations of enneagram subtypes attached to this type are so4 and sp6. I feel like I am too grounded to the physical and intuitive to be either of these types. I am aware of what my body needs, but I don’t feel the desire to secure what my body wants first. I feel like engaging in some other activity which can accommodate the instinct of my racing mind.
• I have been very wild and crazy in the past and was the first to speak, first to act, first to initiate something, first to assume leadership. I have had to tone down my instincts because of the problems they were causing me in my every day life.
• I am organized, efficient, and methodical when it comes to something which appeals to my aesthetic tastes and sensibilities. I want to perfect something which is beautiful. This has helped to motivate me to move against my instinct and organize myself more.

This isn’t all there is, but I hope that hopefully somebody can relate and figure out alternative types. I feel like I fit within 7 enneagram as a broad description, but most things in life have nuance. Maybe I could fall within an alternative type which I haven’t researched enough about yet?

Hi all, looking for some friendly advise! I’ve just completed my last core subject (pending a pass in CP1) and want to do one SP in September. I am going to do SP5 and SA7 together in April but I am very torn on what I want to do in September.
My role isn’t a typical actuarial role so it’s not easy to pick based on relevance to that. I’ve narrowed it down to SP2 or SP9 for two reasons:

1. Doing SP2 and SP5 mean I see the asset and liability side of the balance sheet
2. SP9 seems interesting to me and may be more applicable to other industries should I ever want to move to banking etc

For anyone who has done both SP2 and SP9 which would you recommend and why? Especially in terms of enjoyment, time to complete course notes, difficulty levels, satisfaction with the course / exam. Part of me wants to pick whichever will be the easiest to get a pass in rather than the one I’ll enjoy most so any advice is welcome!!
