Hi!
I have an old ASP.NET MVC app with .NET Framework 4.8 hosted on IIS and I am trying to add some logic in C# with WASM in .net 8. I already have a big logic written in C# and would like to reuse it.
I can easily run said C# code in the browser following stuff like "Run .NET from JavaScript Microsoft Learn". I have a "XCOPY" command to copy the "_framework" and "main.js" to a directory served by the ASP.NET MVC app.
The problem is that I can't manage to debug it. Starting the ASP.NET app in VS with "IIS Express" opens up the app properly, my C# code is loaded and runs properly in the browser but I can't put any breakpoint. I have also tried to "attach" to the browser directly, which worked but still no luck with the breakpoints.
I have tried to debug it in the browser directly as a compromise but even that, all the stuff I find says to do "alt+shift+D" in the browser, which doesn't do anything and I can't find any doc about it online.
Anyone has an idea?

So Far I only attempted to play Ground Zero. This is the map along with streets that I barely know, but I have been away from the game for a long time and the initial missions instead of customs map seem to force me to do Ground Zero. So I learned it, I even managed to extract once as a Scav. Went in a few times as a PMC but I keep crashing at random intervals CTD and it's some kinda vague Net Framework error it seems. I can't really catch the log or anything so not much I can tell.
Was wondering if any of you folks have any suggestions? Maybe remove some particular mods?

I've been grappling with a persistent issue for the past six days, spending many hours each day trying to resolve it, but to no avail. The problem involves the Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) settings getting disabled in response to various system events. I have G602 and G13.
I plan to install an older Windows version (1909) suspecting that this could be related to some lock-out features introduced by Microsoft, although I am not certain which version introduced these features.
Has anyone experienced something similar, or do you have insights into how display rendering and communication between drivers and services in Windows operate?

Here's a detailed breakdown of the issue:
Before installing an nvidia 2070, I was using an AMD APU where the problem rarely occurred, Triger - mostly just causing issues with the OCR integrated into PowerToys. Symptoms - included severe mouse lag, cursor stuttering, and sometimes a complete cursor freeze or a black screen. Fix- Restarting the graphic drivers using keyboard shortcuts would fix. Additionally, another issue with PotPlayer during fullscreen video playback; videos stuttered, but exiting fullscreen resolved the problem. Videos streamed from HBO/Netflix or YT did not encounter this issue.
After installing the 2070, the problem worsened and now additional triggers cause the bug.
Triger: - taking a screenshot causes a system hiccup after about 5 seconds; - launching Discord results in a bug about 10 seconds after the app runs smoothly.
Symptoms: If I move the cursor during this time, it temporarily freezes and makes several jumps before returning to normal function but now without LGS settings, appearing as if LGS is deactivated and the mouse reverts to the 'on-board memory' profile settings. LGS stops working altogether, including my G13 keyboard, which becomes inactive.
Fix To restore proper function, I no longer need to reset the graphic drivers. Now, in most cases, simply giving focus to LGS, like switching to it using Alt+Tab to the 'customize pointer settings' tab where you adjust the mouse speed and DPI, reactivates the correct profile. However, LGS must be open on this specific tab.
The error seems to be triggered by:

1. Severe stuttering, already present with the AMD APU, continues in applications taking control in fullscreen, such as the previously mentioned OCR tool and now also with partial screen captures using ShareX.
2. The error is also triggered by launching or shifting focus to various programs, such as starting Discord, activating a screensaver, or occasionally while watching YouTube in fullscreen or switching to Firefox. Some applications always trigger this bug, like Discord, while others like Firefox only sometimes do.

It seems like an error occurs that temporarily halts and restarts, possibly the drivers or a service, leading to a loss of communication with LGS. Although LGS is still running without internal issues, the pathway connecting the mouse with the cursor bypasses LGS until it is refocused, seemingly restoring the control path. The Windows event log does not show any errors or warnings related to this.
What has been tested:
these things have been enabled and disabled or changed to check if they affect the error:

1. Running as administrator
2. HDR
3. Display scaling in Nvidia panel
4. Refresh rate in Nvidia panel
5. In the video section: Telecine
6. Video content changed to use Nvidia settings
7. Refresh rate
8. Precise color mode
9. HDCP off, by modifying the registry and it is indeed disabled, as informed by the Nvidia panel
10. Scaling disabled, scaling mode set by games and programs turned off
11. G-sync
12. Nvidia overlay
13. Drivers for creators
14. In the system, disabling the display of protected content etc. DRM, despite the introduction of these three changes below, Windows still blocks protected content e.g., blocking screenshots in KeePass. Done: bcdedit /set nx AlwaysOff
15. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Kernel\ -DisableStackProtection
16. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System -EnableSecureContent
17. Uninstalling all drivers using DDU from Guru3D
18. Installing a new system and only installing drivers and LGS
19. Installing the oldest drivers for this card, version 456.71

Despite these adjustments, the issue, though less frequent, still persists.

The tablets/phones might need to play a video on a remote cue, or play a slideshow that slide advances on a tap of the device to imitate the actors typing a text message or interacting with a fake app. I'd like to be able to remotely reset the slideshow to any slide at any time, so go to slide 57 for instance and then play from there. Ideally you can also lock the device so tapping doesn't affect the screen at all if needed.
We'd like to be able to update the content over WiFi to the tablets/phones, loading new videos/slideshows onto them and cueing them when needed from a host machine. Mixture of Android and potentially Apple iPhone/iPad.
I'd rather something that is playing media locally on the tablet/phone device rather than streams as there could be lots of devices. And then the tapping interaction is important, the screen needs to be lockable with the content fullscreen so it appears native, and then also the ability to tap to slide advance as well so the actors can fake interact with it.
I've found Scenica for iOS which does some of this, you can send media to devices over wifi and cue them remotely to play, and it does screen locking. But it doesn't also do tap to slide advance and is also quite expensive.
I've been on set before with another company who did have it for Android, tap to screen advance, that could be remotely reset and remotely updated with new media or remotely cue'd for video.
Is there a software package that will let me do this, a host machine cue software and then an app that runs on each tablet/phone that plays the media, native fullscreen, on request?

I had a mercor AI interview thrice. and just to be sure i was not being shat on, i used the exact same words for all the interviews and steered the interviews in the same direction.
For the first 2, i got the response along the lines of "due to low quality of the interview, we won't be able to share your profile with our clients. schedule another interview". After the third interview, i got the confirmation that i had been "added to the 99-th percentile pre-vetted pool" (whatever the f-word that is supposed to mean). In addition to the name of the interviewer "John Sharma" (they might aswell have used Wolf Gupta, the prodigy), it was outright a red flag due to the following reasons: - Being the exact same interview, how did i get selected on the third attempt? was it my camera angle? was it my mic? was it my lighting? i am pretty confident all of them were good enough in all the "interviews". - When this happened, I was barely with 9 months of full-time experience. How can i even fall in the 99-th percentile of developers, that too globally?
I was still very skeptical until they gave me an interview with a YC startup. The interview went well, except that the interviewer ghosted me afterwards. Now my questions went deeper. I am working in a startup as Software Developer from 1.5 years now. The environment the office used to be chill and work. But recently the owners of company are trying to make things toxic. Hello there! I think I'm at a crossroads in my IT career and I'm not sure what the best way forward would be from where I currently am.
Here's the rundown:
-I have four years of IT experience with a public school as a computer technician/assistant IT director. One year of prior schooling, but no prior experience.
-I've obtained my A+ and Network+ certifications of my own volition during these four years.
-I plan on earning my Security+ certification next month.
-I've shadowed my tech director and have learned some valuable skills such as:
-How VLANs work -How AD works - How Google Admin works -How DHCP works -How to allow access through our SSID for our staff through RADIUS login -How to configure, site map, and hang up network APs for multiple buildings -How to onboard and offboard staff members with various levels of authorization -How to manage SSO software -How to remove malware -How to fix hardware on chromebooks and Dell laptops
My goal is to eventually move on and work exclusively with networking to eventually become a network architect, but a lot of the networking knowledge I've learned at my job is still mostly theoretical. I plan on earning some more certifications and knowledge to help me advance, such as: -Server+ -Azure Fundamentals -Cloud+ -AWS (CCP and Certified Advanced Networking) -Powershell -Python -CCNA -CCNP
So here are my questions: Do I have enough knowledge to move on from my current job to one that is more closely related to networking, and, if so, what job would that be? Where would be a good place to go from here to further my career towards network architect?
If I DON'T currently have enough knowledge and skills to advance, should I consider going back to school, or would continuing to gain experience and certifications (like what I've currently been doing) be enough eventually?

I've used emudeck for a bit now. I have over a hundred games on my steam machine but now new games add won't show up. Its a bit more than that. I put the games into the folder where the rest are and go into the Steam Rom Manager. I click the PS2 emulator to add them, press parse and let it load. It load from 30 seconds to 20 minutes. Then when its done it shows a blank dark gray screen. I've done what I've seen others do and I reset the config but it didn't change anything. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the PS2 emulator with no help. Any help would be appreciated.

I apologize for the long text but I need to describe the situation properly.
34M, graduated in law (never became a lawyer cause after 2 years in a law firm I lost every interest in law and I don't regret my choice).
I've been at my current job for 1 year now (business consultant for a small IT consultancy firm). Before that I was unemployed for 1y and a half (i quit my previous job as bank teller because of toxic environment, constant overwork and understaffed office) .
I got this job after many rejections and it looked promising since it was almost full remote, it was a consultancy job and it involved software licenses/IT asset management and sounded like something I could do well (I'm a bit nerd, use Linux, assemble my own PCs, I learned some basics of coding and IT jargon at the law firm where I used to work cause we worked with software licenses).
My boss is good, I got a ton of training (hell, basically I did just that for a whole year, with training on the job, self-teaching, etc.), i work from home, the company culture is not great but it's definitely not toxic.
The point is, a few days ago I completed my first year here and I really HATE this job and I'm still really incompetent at it.
I partially blame myself because, finding it super boring, I have no motivation to get better at doing it. But I also blame this company because I think they didn't give me a correct representation of the real job during my interview.
I'm a consultant, that's true. I prepare a few PowerPoint presentations and have some calls with clients. But the truth is that I am a TECHNICAL consultant cause my job involves a lot o technical skills in order to be done properly (e.g. knowing how data centers are designed and managed, what hypervisors are, virtualization, SQL skills for databases, advanced Excel, data analysis skills). All things I never did before and that never appealed me and that I still can0t do properly. Long story short, this job is 90% working on spreadsheets with huge amount of data, performing data analysis and trying to match all that data with vendors licensing "terms and conditions".
In addition to that, since I was hired I did very little other than receiving training on the job (basically reading stuff on my own, joining online meeting where my colleagues talk or staring at a screen for 4-6h watching them performing data analysis on SQL or Excel). A lot of training on the job, but really boring and ineffective. The few times they assign me a task is very stressful cause I can't do it properly and so every time is a pain.
Now, I tried to bring that up with my boss after the first 4 months (I had already spent a whole month doing nothing at the time). He said that they understand my situation and that I shouldn't worry since they knew I didn't have an IT background. Now a year passed and I'm still pretty much in the same situation. I'm tired of being paid to do nothing and I can't understand if my boss is just waiting for me to resign cause he finally understood that I 'm not a good fit for this job. I do the bare minimum and I'm just fallowing a couple of small projects. Every time I have meetings with my boss he's very polite and doesn't show any sign of frustration.
I tried to find a another job but without success. Working again as IT asset management consultant is not an option, of course.
I spent the last 4 weeks doing almost nothing (it's not an exaggeration) and 2 months ago I started attending a 10-month Web Development course at a local school. I already studied web design/development on my own in the past, and I've decided to give it a real shot since I enjoy it and I think I'm pretty decent at it. I spend my days doing the exercises they give us and learning web development, which I'm grateful for.
What are your thoughts about my situation? I think I'm living in a bubble now and I don't think I can evaluate it properly from the inside.

We were prepping for New Teams to be deployed and the testing was going well - we had a fix to register the AppX package and from our testing it seemed to work fine. We didn't make any changes to the image/infrastructure other than that.
Come the day we push it out and I try and create a new FSLogix profile... we get nothing in the OS, but the VHD is created in the share. FSLogix Profile Status says "Inactive - Cannot Load user's profile"
Thankfully our users profile still seems to load and they can write to it but when my colleagues and I create a new FSLogix profile we just get errors.
FSLogix Errors:

Error ID 26: LoadProfile Failed. Version 2.9.8784.63912 [user SID] SessionId: 1. FrxStatus:5 (Element not found.)
Information ID 25: Profile load: Status: 16 Reason 5: Error 1168
Error ID 26: WaitForVolumeMount failed (Element not found).

We're worried that this will start affecting existing users or at the least new starters.
We tried putting the previous snap onto a test pool we had and it still doesn't work - it seems to be a complete coincidence that it occured when we pushed out the new snap.
After a bit of troubleshooting - we realised we had a pool without AppVolumes on that was working with FSLogix so we removed it from our main master image and it resolved it there as well (we've not pushed this to production as some of our users require AppVolumes).
If we then log into the production pool (where we first noticed the issue), the FSLogix profile fails to load (so we're not sure why the users haven't experienced any issues yet). Logging back into our test with AppVolumes removed loads the profile correctly again.
We've had FSLogix and AppVolumes in production together for close on a year.
We've tried combinations of the following software: Horizon: 2206 (planned to upgrade to 2312 next month) AppVolumes: 4.10 (production), 2312 (test - planned to be moved to next month) FSLogix: 2.9.8228.50276, 2.9.8440.42104, 2.9.8612.60056, 2.9.8784.63912

I have two nucs both running proxmox. I have a pi 3b just running the qdevice software to allow proxmox to run in a HA mode, and finally I have a really old qnap thats great for storage, but probably too old to be much help (can't really run vms, and the most recent db it can run is from 2016). Currently on proxmox I have about 4 lxc containers all running docker for varius services, but I really want to learn kuberntes and I suspect most of this work load would work well.
Ideally I want to run in a ha mode. I think I have two options - either have an odd number of hosts, or use a db. My instinct was because I only have two nucs I should probably go the db route, but I could possibly use the pi has a third node. What I could then do is put a server node on each nuc, and the pi (and don't allow them to move to other servers), then several agents on the nucs, and they can run as HA (an fail over).
Does this make sense, or am I missunderstanding something?

Hello. I have had this laptop for what is 4 years now. I bough it for 600 euros and was branded as a failry good laptop. It definelly wasnt good but it was able to play most games at 60 fps medium graphics no problem. I runned a test on userbenchmarks and got 40% gaming a 99% desktop and a 68% workstation. But this isnt what i am talking about. 1 year ago things got bad. My laptops cpu and gpu started overheating massively reaching 110 degrees Celcious from the normal 70 degrees. My laptops fan also started to turn off and on all slow down massivelly. My Cpu, a AMD Ryzen 7 3700u, clock speed started crashing every 5 seconds from a 2.8GHZ to a 0.4 GHz. My Gpu, an AMD Radeon Vega 10, is an integrated graphics card and its clock speed fell to 200 MHz from my normal 700 MHz. My Ram, 8gb 2400 MHz DDR4 only has 6gb available and 3 of them are used in i dont know where, so only 3 gb. My Gpu Memory clock speed is going crazy some times and some times not.
In general my fps went from 60, medium graphics, in World of Warships to 30 in lowest graphics. My fps went from 60 maximum graphics in Roblox, to 20 in lowest. My fps went from 60 medium in trackmania to 30 in low. From 260 in TMNF to 70. My fps went from 60 in hearts of iron to 15 while the game speed slowed by 3 times at its minimum. After that happened i started to search for any solution, trying to figure out whats wrong but even 2 months of searching every single word related to laptops and issues i found nothing anywhere near represending my case. It was about 1 month after that that my laptop fan started making weird cranky noises from time to time and generally every time i opened my laptop. after that my laptop started to shut off many times because of my cpu getting way to overheated. One day my cpu reached 115 degree mark where it normally shut off but it was going 0.1 GHz that the emergency turn off didnt even work until it reached 148 degrees. I was using AMD Radeon Software by the way. I spend another hundet of hours searching for anything that could help me but there was nothing. I did everything suggested to me by alot of people. 5 months ago is the time now and my laptop has gotten even worse. Every time i press restart my laptop simply closes and doesnt open. The turn off button doesnt work most times because my laptop crashed on the turn off screen. I get the blue screen and i cant get out. I am forced to do repairs which dont work. In the words of the repair screen "Repair has failed, try again" (It didnt say that but thats the short version). So i had to do a factory reset again. Thankfully the restart and turn off button work fine. 4 months go by with my laptop overheating problem having cooled down. Some games dont load, Power point crashes every time which is very importand for my homework. Word doesnt work either so i cant do my homework. At that point i got frustrated beyond believe because now it isnt only my gaming life getting effected but my school grades. I scout for any answers.. Nothing again. 2 weeks ago i did a Userbenchmark and my scores were: 4% Gaming, 43% desktop, 27% workspace. 1 week ago my laptop started getting very big and sometimes long stutters when my laptop completly froze. I have QuickCpu for monetaring my cpu and the result of that stutter was a straight line with the same stats and time not moving. My laptop has crashed many times, ALT f4 hasnt worken many times because of how slow my laptop is moving but despite it QuickCpu has always kept working. For it to display a straight line were time apparently doesnt move.. something aint right. And now we reach today. Most games load now. Powerpoint, word and the rest dont work still. I did the Userbenchmark again and got the same results. Stutters are getting longer every time i get one. I got another blue screen. Everything is starting to lag and i am noticing a time delay between me pressing buttons in the keyboard and actually typing it. The same with my mouse. The weird cranky noise from my fan still goes on till this day. Fps has gotten worse. From my 60 fps in medium in War thunder i now get 20 in the old videocard setting with lowest. every other game has lost fps too but on this scale. I was getting 60 fps in medium settings when i had the issue not before. And before anyone points out drivers, all of them are the latest. And no getting a new laptop isnt an option, Neither is getting a pc. The only thing working fine at this moment of time is windows updates.
Hope anyones has any information, any tips, anything that can help me i am glad to hear it. Like just throw out random ideas for me to try.

I am not a old school fan of the homeworld series. When it came out I was pooping myself. I grew up in the era of starcraft 2 not 1. For me I find myself enjoying this game immensely. The pacing is nice, slow but quick enough that I'm not falling asleep waiting for my fleets to move across the big empty map like the OGs. The U.I. has been modernized and for a newer player like me feels familiar to other games I've played and much less clunky. Strategy matters alot now I feel. Everyone talks about low time to kill and how your fleet feels squishy which to me just translates to more strategy and micro management not less than originals to be successful. (Spoiler) but when I lost the waveriders due to the ambush on mission 3 or 4 I has kept almost all my original battle damaged units alive until that point and their "sacrifice" really felt real and pushed me to want revenge. Also notes on the Actual maps now. We have MAPS. not just big empty expanses with different backround imagery but maps with choke points, structure to hide units while you flank and areas to set traps for unsuspecting strike craft to trounce into. I've had my most fun with this campaign as well not nearly as many missions that make me wanna KMS like the million or so radiation missions in the OGs. Replabilty is the highest out of all the entry's and instead if just loading up a round of death match against an A.i. I've got access to an entire rogue-like to kill time when I feel like. Graphics are a given, sound design is a given, it just feels and looks great. I've noticed many complaints from the "waited 20+ years for this and it's not everything I dreamed of" crowd but for me in the "discovered 3 years ago crowd" really really enjoys this game.

Hello. I have a Synology NAS share that I can browse the files from Dolphin. The problem I can't play back any video using any video software like VLC, Dragon Player mpv Media Player.
I did manage to play the videos using the same way when I was using Debian 12 KDE but I cant seem to do the save with Fedora KDE. Am I missing something?

So I screwed up. Several years ago I managed to load some version of Linux OS on an old Acer C720 Chromebook with the sole intention of running Artisan. I recall it was a royal pain in the butt but I finally made it work so I took a couple written notes regarding how to start the OS from a CROSH terminal line and didn't look back. It worked great with my DIY flour sifteheat gun roaster and then with my DIY KKTO roaster.
Well, I just moved for the second time since then and managed to lose those written notes. So I couldn't get back into that OS and Artisan. I spent the better part of yesterday starting over completely by finally installing GalliumOS v3.1 to the old Acer. After that marathon session I thought installing Artisan 2.10.4 would be a downhill slide....NOPE!!! I couldn't get it to launch in Gallium. I think my issue is that Gallium stopped being updated/supported in late 2019 while Artisan has continued to roll out updates that play nice with newer versions of Linux distros.
My question...does anyone know/have a version of Artisan that will work with GalliumOS? I tried to find an archived .deb file on Github for v2.1.1, as that release best matches that last Gallium release, but I can't find the artisan-linux-2.1.1.deb file I think I need. I really don't want to regress to just a timer as my sole data source for roasts. Thanks a ton in advance!!!!
