It’s based off the season 2 finale and as the rift to the other universe closes, when Lucifer goes to throw the sword in, his mother grabs him and he falls onto the other universe as well. He becomes ill in the other universe and starts searching for the key to the flaming sword on the beach. Eventually he is rescued but Chloe ends up being his hot water bottle as he’s so cold. I have some family history of CAD and found out I was a 9p21 homozygote and apoe 3/4. I do regular lab work because I've been on TRT for a few years because my levels were low (300ng/dl) in my mid-late 20s. The cause seemed to be idiopathic secondary. Looked at thyroid/prolactin/cortisol/etc. I feel better than I did with low T.
I've read more about heart health lately and am terrified to be honest. My grandpa had a quadruple bypass at 60 and is alive along with all of my other grandparents today in their 80s. His side had some early deaths though and my aunt with high lp(a) had a heart attack in her 50s and is alive. Mom tested for low lp(a) luckily.
I scheduled a vascular screening that my local hospital does in a few months. They do a few things. I'm not sure if the carotid ultrasound is duplex or CIMT, but am hoping for the latter. I've read the Beat The Heart Attack Gene book and have gotten some of the tests from that as well as Peter.
Blood pressure typically runs 120-125 over 70-75 when I relax for 10 min so that seems like something to lower maybe.
I'm really freaking out over this LP PLA2 result though. My other labs seem solid so I was shocked that it came back high. I have seen that maybe it doesn't have a lot of clinical significance and establishment, but I'm not sure. Does it mean I already have plaque in the arteries?

The lore behind the book's creation pegs it to HL Menken who had a reputation of losing his cool anytime a young blonde showed up. This was the spark for his friend Loos to write the satire, and she wrote him into the book by name acting like an ass when Lorelai comes around. He loved it and helped her find a publisher.

Apologies for the millionth "what should I do with my career" post, but I would be very appreciative of some guidance.
After having a little experience under my belt from my Big4 private tax advisory job, and a lot of free time, I've been doing a lot of soul searching. And I've came to the conclusion that tax isn't going to be for me. I've been reflecting on what I've been enjoyed in the past as well as what i've been good at and bad at.
Uni Background:

• BSc Physics (Top UK uni , not oxbridge, 2.2 because of severe family issues)
• really enjoy working with numbers & high numeracy skills - stats, calculus, ect...
• Although not proficient enough for most finance jobs, I believe I have the foundations in programming/excel which I can build on, as well as willingness to learn other data tools.
• Good at and enjoyed labs - the process of creating a strategy to best use tools to convert qualitive/quantitative analysis into a report/presentation was always rewarding.
• Highlights were:
  • A consulting/RnD experience I had with a bioscience company, focused on increasing efficiency within their business through designing refrigeration and reheating process.
  • Consulting-based internship I had with an energy company. predicting and capitalising on changes in the wider market.

Upsides of job:

• I enjoy working in a team, and I find I can bond with and get along with people easily.
• I've enjoyed the advisory aspect more then the compliance aspect.
• Studying from CA with ICAS. Lots of free time to study/pursue extracurriculars (compared to other service lines, I get home by 5PM most days lol).
• I've found the restructuring engagements somewhat interesting and highlights were:
  • Sitting in on a initial meeting with the head of M&A for an emerging sports brand.
  • Doing initial research into local companies, to help client proposals.
• For the previous two I find it's the element of analysis, critical thinking and strategy (atleast more so then reading through tax manuals) that has kept me engaged.

Big Downside of job:

• The legislative aspect of tax, I find super boring. Although I've not done a whole lot yet (mostly admin), I can see in the future being burnt out by reading through tax manuals and the lack of numbers/analysis.

Loose ideas from whats around me:

• valuations - Audit seems monotonous, but the CF teams I've worked alongside seam to have some of the aspects i've listed. However it seems everyone wants this, and Idk if theres a valid reason/experience that sets myself apart.
• move to consulting arm within big4, dont know much about each sub service line.
• Quant masters - have the funding, but I think a 2.2 is a nail in the coffin for target unis.

Was anyone in a similar position that managed to figure out what they wanted? I would like to talk to my counsellor about this, but it feels too early and I would want some ideas in mind when talking to them.

The Aldmeri Dominion are fixated with hunting down Redguard insurgents in the land of Hammerfell... giving them time to loosely organise a strong, but little force of Blades, who have been scattered across Tamriel, in an effort to secretly serve the Empire as efficiently as they can. It would seem the Third Empire appeared so crippled and stunted, that even the cunning Thalmor underestimated them. Ever since we were little, we had made plans to go to Paris. I don't remember why, but our dream destination was Paris. We talked about it on sleepovers, and gave each other excited looks everytime a character spoke French on TV.

She married as soon as she graduated. Her husband was her long time boyfriend, and the best person ever for her. They had their first kid soon after, and life was so good with them all.
When her kid was 6 months old, they got into a brutal accident. My friend and her husband were killed on impact, but the baby survived with minor injuries.

I got to know that I was listed by them as the baby's legal guardian. Her family only consists of her parents, who were ageing, and did not have the capacity to support a child anymore. They agreed with their child's decision.
Apart from the occasional babysitting I did for them, I had no clue how to take care of the baby, but I did not want her to end up in an orphanage either and so I took her in.
The first few months were hell. The baby did not understand her parents were gone, but she did feel their loss. Her cries and tantrums kept me up at night, it affected my work, my energy, and my health. I was in no way ready to be a caregiver, all while grieving the person I knew since kindergarten.

Here I would like to include a tip, many times people are worried that what if the backlink that they have created doesn't get indexed. In the initial phase we work really hard when it comes to what we call as maturing our backlinks as this is the major factor for ranking on low difficulty keywords. So basically what we do is, we make backlinks of our web 2.0 backlinks itself which helps the primary backlink in getting indexed which ultimately helps with our website DA.
Also many people have been asking us in our previous posts how we structure our blog since I talk a lot about content quality, see it's not as hard and it doesn't involve a lot of research at least in the initial phase when you just have to rank on low difficulty keywords. In this phase usually what we do is study the top 5 ranking blogs on the particular keyword and make sure that we include more content and more subheadings then them. Also we try to find opportunities to include tables or charts wherever possible, we include good quality images(original if possible) and at this stage internal linking is very very important so we focus on that as well. In later stages although the basic strategy for framing the blogs remains same, overall content strategy varies a lot from business to business and requires a lot of strategizing depending on the brand positioning goals.
So after we were able to rank for low difficulty informational keywords and our Website DA reached a decent level due to our backlinking efforts, we started writing content around the fashion advice and common problems which people face related to hair in general. But as discussed earlier, we wanted to keep our brand positioning fashion centric, so even while writing about common problems we applied a positive and solution centric approach. We strategically placed internal links to our product pages in the content and tested popups with offers as well. Apart from this, we started guest posting as well at this stage. For finding websites for guest posting we used SEMrush’s backlink gap analysis tool and created a segregated list of blogs that we can reach out to based on their content quality and DA. By this time the store started generating decent revenue from ads and SEO so the client was completely onboard with reaching out to blogs for guest posting. Guest posting and overall strategic SEO application started generating a good amount of traffic for us and in 3-4 months the revenue generated due to SEO surpassed our Ads revenue as well.
Advantages of Combining SEO and Paid Ads
While Facebook Ads played a crucial role in launching the brand and driving initial traffic, SEO has emerged as the primary driver of sustainable growth. This approach allowed us to:

• Reduce Reliance on Paid Advertising: As our SEO efforts matured, we were able to gradually decrease our Facebook ad spend, resulting in cost savings and improved return on investment.
• Build Brand Authority: Our SEO strategy has positioned our website as a trusted authority in the hair extensions industry. This fosters brand recognition and trust, leading to organic customer acquisition.
• Scale Traffic and Revenue: Organic traffic growth has been exponential, leading to a significant and sustainable increase in website revenue generated through SEO.

SEO efforts are always ongoing but we are really satisfied with the base that we have built and we are really looking forward to working with keywords with higher KD and generating more revenue with SEO In the upcoming months. Although we will keep running ads in future as well mostly for awareness purposes but the major revenue will be generated from our SEO efforts. Apart from this, as we mentioned earlier, we are looking to actively start the Social Media efforts as well from the next month itself. We will be looking to target Instagram and Tiktok in the initial phase and we believe in 2-3 months social media will contribute towards 25% of our revenue which will grow rapidly.

Does anyone else's face break out terribly after using a sauna? After my work out at the gym I like to use the sauna for a little bit but I find afterwards my face is all blotchy and red. How do I prevent that from happening? Is it even possible? I think I'll try the hot tub instead but gym hot tubs just seem gross, I may have to forgo this altogether

Now admittedly, this is partially opinion-based. Also, since I know people will ask: the main reason Elise isn't higher is the fact she actually has cooking talent (unlike majority of contestants higher than her). Some of these choices were difficult, like the bottom 4 arguably aren't THAT bad, but comparable to other contestants in the season they were my most logical choice.
As for my top 3...

• Jen = Needs no explanation really. Every scene she's in she's either a snob, cocky, toxic, whatever word you want. From the moment of her introduction in Season 4, I'll let this quote sum up her personality in a nutshell... "There's a difference between constructive criticism, and someone just being a butthead. I think Chef Ramsay might need to read a couple of books. He has absolutely no idea what he's talking about, and he has absolutely no idea who he's talking to!" - Completely and utterly unbearable for me, and she only got worse when she returned during Season 18. During the 3rd episode she has an absolute mental breakdown towards Gordon after he calls her out for a short portion of garnish. She claims he was hiding it under the pass, presumably for forced drama? Absolutely absurd, I'm surprised even Lady Gaga works with her - I certainly wouldn't wanna be within a 5 mile radius.
  
• Scott = Season 7 was the first season I ever watched back in 2015. He is easily the most ARROGANT chef to ever set foot on the show. Every scene seemingly gets worse and worse, especially once he moves to the red team. Even Gordon had enough of his sh*t during his elimination plea, in which Scott unironically said - "I'm a hard-worker - obviously you know that - I just bust ass every day. I have a calmness about me during service no matter what the stresses bring. By no means, I'm not the worst cook in this team by far, I'm the best cook in this team, the best leader in this team." To which Gordon replies with "I can't take it anymore". So yeah even if you haven't seen the season, you know exactly why I rank him up here.
  
• Anton (I know Jen is technically 3rd again, but it'd be silly to explain her twice) = On top of the permanently annoying smoker voice, the guy was just a straight up dick to majority of contestants, incredibly sexist, and pushed the passive Sous Chef Andi so far to her screaming her lungs out at him (one of my favourite scenes, because he 100% deserves it). Admittedly, he was half-decent before he moved over to the red kitchen, but even then he was nothing to write home about. Very little redeeming qualities, glad they didn't prolong his elimination for content.

Hold on: What’s a rate?
About once a month, this subreddit holds games called “rates” where a host selects a collection of songs and people score each song on a scale of 1-10 (with a single 11 & a 0 available as well). Ballots of these scores are submitted, and then over “reveal” weekend, the host takes the averages of the songs and eliminates them from worst to best, giving one song out of all the albums the top spot, the crown, & bragging rights forever.

Os Mutantes - Os Mutantes (1968)
Os Mutantes was made up of Rita Lee, and the brothers Arnaldo Baptista and Sérgio Dias. In 1968 Os Mutantes released their debut album, were featured on the Tropicália Ou Panis Et Circenses compilation, and performed as the backing band for Gilberto Gil's self-titled second album. The Tropicália movement embraced taking international ideas and re-interpreting them, combining them to create something Brazilian. Os Mutantes will likely be a favorite for those who love psychedelic rock.

Gal Costa - Gal Costa (1969)
Another featured artist from the Tropicália Ou Panis Et Circenses compilation, Gal Costa released her debut album in 1967, and her follow-up self titled album in 1969. Gal Costa was close friends with both Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso as well as their spouses, and Gal Costa's bossa nova debut Domingo was a close collaboration with Veloso. By the release of Gal Costa we hear more of the impact of Tropicália and psychedelia on her sound. This self titled album features more songs from writers besides Veloso, including songs written by Gilberto Gil, Rosil Cavalcanti, Tom Zé, Roberto Carlos, Erasmo Carlos, Jorge Ben, and Torquato Neto.

Clube Da Esquina - Clube Da Esquina (1972)
The Clube Da Esquina name (Corner Club) refers to a corner of the street where Lô Borges used to live, and Borges and Milton Nascimento played for fun in the 1960s.
“I hope our young people don’t allow themselves to be swept up in this dictatorship business, because they don’t understand what it was like,” said [Milton Nascimento] who was stalked by agents from the notorious department of political and social order as his career took off in the 1960s. “Whenever we were going to release a song we had to send it to them for them to censor.” Eventually, Nascimento’s manager rented an isolated beach house where the musicians were free to compose the record of their lives. “It was wonderful … just us and the waves rolling up to our front door,” said Borges. “We weren’t thinking about selling millions of records or being the next big summer hit. We just wanted to make art.” Nascimento smiled as he recalled how that legendary album was conceived half a century ago, far from the prying eyes of the dictatorship. “It was a record made just by friends … We’d spend all day composing, from the moment we awoke with the fishermen bringing in their nets to the moment we went to bed.”

Novos Baianos - Acabou Chorare (1972)
By popular demand, Novos Baianos has been added to the rate mix! As suggested by their name, Novos Baianos were founded in the state of Bahia in 1969. During the making of Acabou Chorare, they were mentored by the "Father of Bossa Nova", João Gilberto. The album's title (translated as No More Crying) also came from a story about Gilberto's daughter.
Note: the album has two versions of Preta Pretinha, track 2 which is the full version and track 10 which seems to have been a radio edit. We are only rating the full version of the song.

Jorge Ben Jor is the first recorded artist of the five here, but A Tábua De Esmeralda is chronologically our latest recorded album of the rate. This one is arguably a concept album; influenced by the Hermetic text "The Emerald Tablet" as well as Jorge's interest in alchemy, and features songs focused on Afro-Brazilian identity such as "Zumbi".

I'm a long time lurker here, first time poster!
I'm 28 and I've been with my partner for over a decade, we live together and we're both happy in our relationship. I've never taken a solo vacation but I'm really starting to feel this want to take a short trip (4/5 days) somewhere abroad for a break this year. I typically go on vacation with my partner so I'm kinda nervous to approach him about the subject and how he will feel.
He's going away for a few weekends this year for a couple of stag parties and a wedding and has expressed he doesn't want to spend money on a vacation this year with all the expenses he's already paying for. Totally fair, but I don't want that to limit me going somewhere abroad.
I have thought about asking a friend to join me, but honestly, I really want to do this myself and have total control over where I go, what I do, what I eat etc. This honestly won't be a lot as I want to go somewhere hot, lie in the sun, read books and drink cocktails lol.
I'm just curious as to whether this sounds like a reasonable request and how I'd go about approaching the subject with my partner? Full disclosure, I'm totally comfortable in my own company and we both have a lot of independence and trust in our relationship. I just worry as this is new territory for us and not something I've done before.
