If there was a single piece of wisdom I could instill into Kansas City metro drivers - Just one little adjustment I could make to our collective mentality, it would be this:
IT'S NOT WORTH IT. Go past, take the next exit, and double back.
DON'T swoop across 4 lanes of traffic and barely clear the center divider while you force some poor old sap off into the shoulder!
DON'T risk spinning out and sailing over the embankment into the ditch! Please, please, please, just take the 2 damn extra minutes and get off safely at the next exit, and either get back on the opposite direction to reach your exit or just circle back around the back way.
I have clear bias, because I regularly have to drive through the Grandview Triangle (and 99% of the time, that's 435W <-> 470E). And that stupid fucking right hand exit to I-49S/Red Bridge is the source of my complaint, every fucking day somebody flies across that verge from the far-left lane because they want to head towards Belton. I'm so sick of it.
There are plenty of other places where this general concept applies - I could even extend it to taking highly dangerous/obstructive left turns in places where the driver should just go a block down and come back. But I'll settle for the exits. Good god, the exits. Please. Stop with the insane behavior.
Miss the exit. Double back. Especially if you're in the middle of the Triangle on the wrong side. It's okay. Try it. Please.

After I leave my first year of uni (I’ll be in halls year one), my long term boyfriend and I plan to begin renting a studio flat together, probably in West London around Shepherds Bush or Ladbroke Grove as he has family links to the area. He works full time and is not a student, and earns slightly more than minimum wage annually. I would be a full time student on the maximum maintenance loan and with a part time job. We’ve been looking around already, and of course prices can fluctuate, but with his monthly earnings and my full maintenance loan+part time employment we would have enough money to live and afford our bills, council tax etc.
My questions are: would it be hard for us to obtain a joint tenancy agreement since one of us is a student and one of us is not? if we could get a tenancy but a guarantor would be required, would it matter that my mom is on minimum wage and lives and works in the north or would the simple fact of having a guarantor be enough reassurance to the landlord or renters? would it be possible to begin renting from the septembeOctober of my second year or would we have to begin in the summer? just thinking about the time of my maintenance loan payments. thanks in advance for the help!
