outside of these issues I’m about to discuss, I really felt I had found my person. He’s a decent father he works hard, he loves animals and kids, he’s generous when he can be, we have a lot in common, but he has a dark side and anger issues that can be scary. We have been married 2 years in October. So still supposed to be in what I thought was a honeymoon era. Don’t get me wrong, In the beginning it was literally a fairytale. I have two kids from a previous relationship (10&7) and one baby with my now husband. One and 1/2 years into our marriage husband starts staying out late, no calls, barely cognitive text messages, usually around payday. So after asking nicely a few times for him to just come clean and I would forgive him.( I suspected gambling) I was right & he finally admitted to it. I forgave him. Until it happened again, and again. As of last week it’s happened 12 times in a little over a year where I couldnt account for his whereabouts for 5+ hours. the last two times he called with a fake emergency (nobody has that many emergencies) he has got me a couple times but later would find out he was gambling via family or friend. Now he’s angry. I have asked him to get help, I have even offered to find and pay for treatment plus therapy for us. Because I really love him so much. He does NOT WANT IT. I will bring up my disappointment in the lies and the insults asking him to just be nicer to me (I have anxiety depression) in the moment even. but that makes him more angry and anger escalates to screaming insults in my face, so punching walls and now we are worse than where we started. The combination of these things plus I am and have been the sole provider for most of our marriage, shut out emotionally. I express wanting to work on it, and that I really need his help during my mental crisis moments. It’s like he doesn’t even hear me. I have asked numerous times what I could do to improve or just be better for him. I still don’t have an answer he will just laugh as if I’m missing the joke. I’m trying to hang on to my last bit of self esteem to figure out what to do next. none of this aligns with his great speech on Saturday night about hating himself for how much pain he has caused me and that he loves me so much & wants to do better. How 90% of his insults are him deflecting to me. Fast forward to Sunday night him telling me I’m delusional and I make it hard for any man to be nice to me. (Mother’s Day of all days). Mentioned also “this isn’t working” so today I did ask him for a trial separation and he responded 👍🏽 and said that “i was probably so excited because I love conflict” 🤦🏽‍♀️😪 “end of discussion” what am I supposed to do next? Idk how this works & I am so heartbroken 💔

A very popular idea I see from Spiderverse fans is that Miles sacrificed wanting to pursue a career in art to studying dimensions for his friends.
Where in the story does that indicate that at all?
1) We still see Miles have a strong passion for art. That does not disappear.
2) The movies never revealed what Miles wanted to do other than study dimensions.
3) Miles is still a kid exploring his options in career paths. There was no sacrifice since it can still be changed.
I see a lot of people trying to use this 'headcanon' as fact to make what PeteGwen did worse. Sure a big reason that Miles wanted to do this career was to see them but he is not stupid. The story even lets Miles see how big of a hurdle this will do.
It seems like people refuse to accept that Miles can have other passions than just art.

• I am using a TEW 2016 data converted to TEW 2020, it has a lot of issues mainly around personality attributes, everyone - even the most godly person seems to have a hard drug issue or cause issues. This really impacted the moral (0%) and therefore hurt my initial shows. I'm not a fan of playing around with data during a save but it was required to make it playable.
  
• Despite slashing the wage bill with $700k in terminations, and signing replacements on per show deals my basic wage has not changed dramatically, only about $100k.
  
• One unintended consequence of slashing the wage bill has been a massive reduction in Merchandise. I'm making $750k less than my first month. While my live event merchandise sales have increased, I'm $775k down on worker sales.
  
• As one of the few that did watch WCW in 2000, I am surprised you start as small (made even harder by being based South West). Also Hogan was still under contract with WCW until 2002 (just sitting at home), on this data he starts unemployed. Having said that, if he was on your wage bill the challenge would be even harder.
  

I got my AS in respiratory therapy back in 2010. The program I went to was one of the toughest, today places in top 10%. There were times I remember thinking I would get booted out because it was so rough. I had to study twice as hard as most, and placed about in the middle of test scores.
I wound up only working for a year before having kids and becoming a SAHM. Long story short, hopped back to work a couple years ago- but I let my respiratory license expire and forgot everything after 10 years. I got the course material and studied 8hrs a day for about 2 months/passed/re-instated my license.
I developed some pretty bad health anxiety (perfect for my degree eh?) and went back to work with insurance. I worked up the ladder a bit, and am working in our local hospital system with providers/insurance work. In order to get any farther, i see job openings requiring a BS in health or business needed. I love what I do now, and want to advance in my new career.
I can take a test with multiple choice, but I haven’t written a paper since high school, everything I have done is science based and no projects. I don’t think I’m dumb, but I’m not that smart. I finish last on tests, and score about in the middle. I’m wondering if I can do this, and in 2 terms if possible. Are there enough resources to help with classes etc?

Paying bills on time, managing my health, staying in touch with my friends and family, working on my passions and personal goals- all of this feels easy compared to the real hard part of adulting, navigating loss.
I recently had to end my relationship of 2.5 years with my bf who I was deeply in love with. He just could not work with me to resolve conflict, reciprocate my effort, show up for me as a partner and team member no matter how much I asked. I feel so disillusioned by this experience, and kind of hopeless. As a woman in my late 20s im wondering if I’ll be able to find someone I love and trust enough to have kids. I wanted that so badly to be my ex. I still love him and feel like it will take me forever to get over him. I tried working on our relationship issues for a year and communicated my issues clearly to him, but he dismissed me time after time and could not show up for me in fixing our issues.
I am now dealing with the loss of my grandma who was my main deep tie to my cultural heritage. I’m deeply sad to lose her storytelling and direct tie to her home country. Simultaneously processing this while processing that I am running out of time to build a positive family unit of my own has me in a deep depression. I don’t feel like doing anything I love anymore. everyday I wake up with the heaviest feeling of sadness in my chest. The hardest part of adulting is letting go. I feel like that’s one thing I may never get a hang of.

Let me start by saying that my mum and I are not that close. We don't have anything in common, we are very different personalities but she would like people to think we are practically best friends. I am an only child.
Growing up, my mum always wanted me to be a ballerina, she put me in dancing 4 nights a week and 2 classes on weekends. I was good but as soon as I could quit I was out of there so fast. My real passion was horses, and I understood that mum was not ever interested in horses and we probably couldn't afford one on her single parent income (up until I was 11). That never bothered me, I just hung out on fences watching them or rode neighbors horses any chance I got.
Fast forward to now, I have my own horse that I am very proud of, and we were finally entered in our first competition. This was terrifying for me as I still get PTSD from stage fright from dancing. I asked if mum would come to watch.... know I'm a grown adult but the important thing here is that I found out I was pregnant right before it, and I was super excited to do my competition- the first, and last for a while- and then I would announce the pregnancy to her.
I had told her months prior that I would be doing the comp and she agreed to come. The week prior she told me that coming for both days wouldn't be possible due to the drive (that's fine, at least if she came for the second day she would see 2/3 events).
She arrived 5 mins before my showjumping, which was a HUGE accomplishment.. and as I got off my horse she said 'I'm leaving now.'
I was shocked. It meant so much that she would be there and my husband knew it meant alot to me too. I said "that's fine. See ya" and walked away as my husband grabbed my shoulders while I was crying.
I really thought it was going to be a 'healing my inner child's moment where she finally showed an interest in my passion, but she couldnt have stayed for the extra hour? She was only there for 30mins and it was an hour drive.
I messaged her to let her know I was hurt and she ignored me.
I wrote a lengthier message to detail why I felt hurt, how much it meant to me that she would be there and that I was honestly quite upset with her now giving me the silent treatment. I wrote that it is important that she acknowledged that I was hurt and that I won't be chasing her for contact.
She said 'I respect your choice'.
The last message I sent was "I need to clarify that you've heard I feel hurt, and you don't see any reason to apologise?" And she blocked me.
As a kid, when she'd give me a silent treatment I would apologies even if I thought I was in the right. I didn't like being ignored.
It has been 4 and a half weeks and I haven't heard a word from her.
I want to announce my pregnancy, and I also don't want her to think she can hurt me and get away with it.
Would I be the asshole for announcing it without her?
I know it will hurt her, and that's not my intention, but I don't like the way she digs her heels in to prove her point that she is never in the wrong. I want to prove my point- she hurt me.

My almost-3.5 year old has been in montessori for 2 years now. He just moved up to a 3-5 year old class 3 months ago and has not been doing well since then. I find that he lost his interest or curiosity in things. I'm not sure if this is part of growing up. I let this go until last month when I found that he is being pushed by another kid every 2 days. I escalated this and found their response very disappointing. They keep telling us that they are talking to the kids and letting them know that pushing/beating is not okay.
Anyway I decided to move my kid to another daycare. When I enrolled my kid in this daycare, I really liked their concept of independent and free thinking. Maybe I didn't/don't understand it very well.
My kid has always loved learning and was always curious. He used to be very observant and pickup things very quickly. He is also a "shy" kid who likes people giving him extra attention and showing him things. His daycare now expects him to approach the teachers and ask them for help. I was a shy kid too - So I don't really like the expectation.
I'm not sure if it is this school or his age (toddler-hood) that has "changed" him. I visited 2 non-montessori preschools who talk about structure and math/english academics. I want my kid to have fun. But I have heard of kids acting out if they do not feel engaged.
My question is this - do structure/academically-focused preschools teach kids better behavior?

I am writing this because I need to make it known my love for this girl. And there needs to be something in the world that shows my love. All the hours of sleep I have lost for this girl, who I will call Eve, were for naught and I need there to be something tangible of what we had. This is my story of her.
I first met Eve at a volunteer event for an see organization we both went to, 4 days of 5 hours of volunteering. I thought she was beautiful and I wanted to ask her out. As we were leaving on the very last day I asked. I told her I enjoyed talking to her and thought she was cool, I asked if she would want to hang out sometime. I was elated. I thought she had given me her number romantically. I was so happy that day, I had never felt such joy. I was potentially going to be in a relationship with this amazing and beautiful woman. I texted her that night, and we talked some. The next day I asked her on a date, if she wanted to go to a local aquarium with me. She told me that she had a boyfriend. My soul was crushed, I felt myself die a bit. I physically felt my joy leave, everything was gray again. I had fallen in love with her over the simple act of her giving me her phone number. I have longed for female connection and affection for so long that even a slight show of something that could be considered as romance made me adore her. And that shows how fucked up I am. I made some more small talk, nothing much. I tried to play it off as “oh yea that’s cool”, perhaps I could salvage a friendship for now, and wait until she did not have a boyfriend. I asked her if she wanted to do paintball for my Birthday, she couldn’t because her sister got injured as a kid from it. For the next 3 months I mourned. I was sad, I had fallen in love with this beautiful girl, but could not even attempt to be with her. Then in November I saw her at another event, I was so scared. I was too afraid to make contact with her. I saw her and was terrified, of scorn, of disgust. I was embarrassed. She walked past me once and I said hi, as a friend, but no response, perhaps she did not hear me. I avoided her for the next few hours. Eventually during a raffle at the end we made eye contact. It was very brief, barely a second. I looked away so fast. She was so breathtaking. Now I knew that she knew I was there, and she knew I knew she was there. I went home without any more contact. The next months were the same, sadness. Mourning the relationship I (thought I) almost had. Every day I thought about her. Every single day. Not 3 hours could pass without her crossing my mind. At night I would look at her on Instagram. Look at her pictures, it was nothing creepy, I just admired her beauty and longed for her. I saw her boyfriend, he was ugly and fat. I do not mean to be rude or hate, but she could do better. I am ugly, but I take care of myself, I was jealous of him. One day she posted her Junior prom pics with him, she was so beautiful. One day when I went to admire her pictures, I noticed something. She had taken his name from her bio, and deleted all her posts. They had broken up. I was elated, perhaps I had a chance. I needed to see her again, establish connection. I went to an event where she was going, I saw her, I tried to find a chance to say hello but we were all so busy and split into different groups, I didn’t get a chance. As the event ended it was late. It was dark and in a not desirable area of town, Eve was leaving and my mom was going to accompany her to her car and called me over to accompany her. I walked out and was with them, Eve was so beautiful, her smile made me melt inside. We made some small talk between the three of us as we walked for a minute or two, and then she got in her car and left. I was angry at myself and my situation, I should have talked to her more, put myself out there. I was beating myself up for it the rest of my time there and the ride home. But when I got home I was overjoyed, while I drove Eve had texted me. She said it was nice to see me at an event again, with a smiley face. We talked for a bit, texting back and forth. I was so happy to be talking to her again, and SHE initiated it. Mind you this is on the 8th of February. For the next week or so we texted, not a ton. She was busy, however I have noticed she uses that as an excuse to not reply, more on that later. Come Valentine’s Day it was nearing Junior Prom at my school, I had dreams of bringing her to it. I was hoping to try and do something in person with her and some friends over the weekend, where I could ask in person. However, on Valentine’s Day she posted on her Instagram story a gift she had received from a secret admirer. I was scared I would lose my opportunity, now I had competition. This rushed me. I called her that evening, I told her I wanted to ask in person but saw her story and felt rushed, i asked if she wanted to go to our Junior prom with me. She said that she wasn’t sure, and wanted a few days to get back to me. A few days later she responded, she could not go. She said that she was talking to someone else pretty seriously and didn’t want to go for that reason. I accepted this with grace, I respect her decision. Exactly one month later I ran into her at an event. We talked a bit, we worked by each other this time. She mentioned when we talked with some others as a group that she was going on a spring break trip to California. After the event ended and we had gone home I texted her later that evening. I said it was nice seeing her, and I hoped she enjoyed her break. She responded, I was scared she wouldn’t. Throughout all of this I have held an underlying belief she is weirded out by me, or wants me to screw off, I had asked her out twice, maybe I am just a creep to her. But she did respond. We talked for the next few days, she still took a long time to respond, over 12 hours usually. I get you’re busy, but let’s be honest, everyone checks their phone in that time. On the morning of break when my family was driving off for ours I got a text from her. She sent me sunrise pics from her trip she was on, and said she would send some more. We texted back and forth a bit then, and she said I should send her pics of my trip. I was so happy, she had sent me pictures and asked I send some. While they weren’t pictures of HER, they were still beautiful sunrise pics, and SHE sent them to me first. Over the course of spring break we talked, there was a large time difference so most of it was sending picture, asking or telling something, and responding to previous texts. But one day we were both sat down and we texted back and forth for a straight hour. She was giving me her time and attention, I felt as if she enjoyed talking to me. When break ended however it changed. She took more and more time to respond, hours to days. She said she was busy, but I knew the truth, you can check your phone over the course of 2-3 days and respond. I felt hurt and confused. She has given me so much time and we had talked so much over break but now I was being ghosted. I couldn’t take it anymore. I wrote her a long text, telling her how I felt about her and what we had going on. How she was the most beautiful woman in the world and how I love talking to her, and also how I was getting mixed signals for her. She responded and told me that at first she was texting for friendliness but began to like me as we talked, she said she would text me before her friends and that must mean something subconsciously. She was flattered and admired my persistence in asking her out, now she was open to going out with me to test the waters. I was overjoyed. However I am moving overseas, about 3 months from when this happened, and I told her that. Very unfortunate that when I get my chance it is cut short. We talked more, and planned a date. She never did tell me why she didn’t respond. It was wonderful, we talked a lot. Of course it was awkward at times, but it got better as it went. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her. She was breathtaking, she had makeup on, but she looks even prettier without it. We talked about all sorts of things, and it all made me like her more. Same passion we wanted to go to college for, both love animals, both believe the same stuff. When the date ended, we went our separate ways. That has since been the last time I have seen her. When I got home she texted me she had a good time, I was so incredibly happy to see that. I hadn’t weirded her out, she hadn’t found me too unattractive to date. One day I posted a pic of me after winning a sports championship along with some others of my team on my story. I have never posted a pic of myself because I am self conscious, this was the first. She viewed my stories, and the only one she gave a like was of me. That made me feel so special, she liked the picture of ME. I was happy, we were still texting, she still took a while to reply, usually a day, but I was happy because I was going on dates with her. During the midst of planning a second, she stopped replying for a few days. When I was touring a college I got the message. She had felt nothing romantic on our date, only platonic. She enjoyed it she said, but felt no feelings for me. She wanted to go out again to solidify these feelings, and give me another chance but because I was moving she didn’t want to potentially start a relationship we would end in 2 months. She said she didn’t want to lead me on. I was heartbroken. I love her. This was the final nail in the coffin, it was over. We would not work out. I replied to her, said thank you for the honesty and wished her luck with life. I have been left on read. I don’t expect anything else, but a reply, a thank you for understanding, anything would be nice. I don’t want it to end. Any connection I can have with her I wanted. I don’t understand, I thought she liked me? While she did say she thought she had feelings, I understand that she may have changed how she felt after going out, but why would she do what she did? Why would she tell me she had a good time it she didn’t think it would work? I feel as if that just got my hopes up. It put me under the impression she liked me too. And why would she like my picture if she did not LIKE me? I am confused m, and I am sad. My situationship with her is done, and any contact is as well. I miss her, I want to be with her. I don’t understand what to do now. For the past year she has been my purpose. I have improved myself for her, cried for her, tried at life for her. Now I have nothing, no purpose. How can I go on when I have no purpose. She was my driving factor for all I did. I am empty now. I write this because I need people to know. I cannot let all I felt for her go unknown. I just want to unload a bit.
I 41f have two sons that are 14 and 16. They are good kids; a bit lazy and selfish but what teenager isn’t? My ex and I split when the boys were 2 and 4. Over the years his involvement has diminished in their lives and he barely sees them. Things have happened between the boys and his current wife that have also strained the relationship.
I’ve had to cancel and change plans countless times over the years because he cancels his parenting time at the last minute; but he’s never willing to step up when I’ve needed him to take the boys when I’m sick or have to take a work trip. I’ve had to pick up a second job due to increased cost of living and the fact that their dad has gotten behind on support.
My oldest has never been the affectionate type with me; which I understand because I’m also not much of an outwardly affectionate person. I’m just feeling so invisible to him though and this weekend really solidified that feeling. It’s like I’m just an ATM and chauffeur.
He knows there are some things I’ve wanted to get done around the house; as in all three of us, and had planned on doing that on Saturday and then spending Sunday at my parents. He asks to go out with friends on Saturday to a mall and to borrow money for the excursion. Feeling mom guilt because he never really does anything socially I allow it and give him money that I really can’t afford to part with. He also informs me he wants to spend Sunday with his girlfriend. I remind him it is Mother’s Day and that she probably needs to spend it with her family. The argument begins; her mom lives out of state and she doesn’t have that kind of relationship with step mom. Then I point out that we are going out with my parents. Well he thinks he should be able to go to gf’s and his brother and I go to my parents. I finally had to point out that I would like to spend time with my children on Mother’s Day.
So he goes out with friends Saturday and begrudgingly does lunch with us on Sunday. He never even tells me Happy Mother’s Day. Also, he apparently had some kind of epiphany and wants to reconnect with his dad and asks me to take him to see his dad after we get back from lunch; on Mother’s Day.
We don’t argue or have a bad relationship. I honestly feel like he’s just gotten so used to me always being there that takes that for granted.

I’ve posted and deleted on here before about the very few questionable things I remember happening as a kid that I just don’t dig too much into or bring up. For context my mother was a prostitute drug user criminal. And my sperm donor was her pimp of some sorts. I was raised by my grandmother but I was around my mom a lot during my younger years.
questionable events:
1) humping toys as a kid 2) seeing my mother receive what I believed to be oral sex on the floor by the door of the room I was in. 3) remembering my mom making out with some random dude while I was on the bed playing frogger. I specifically remember this because I was maybe 5/6 and I remember feeling like a little annoyed by it? Like I remember saying to them that it sounds like they’re eating a popsicle almost in a passive aggressive manner so like they knew that I knew that I didn’t want to be there. 4) in general having odd encounters with kids. touching each others on the bus, I remember making out with my cousin of the same age and other small stuff.
the only thing though that gives me some relief that it’s all in my head maybe is that I was for the most part still unaware of sexual organs in 5th grade especially in relation to my body.
I’m thinking maybe I was just exposed to so much and I almost just fantasized about it? I don’t know. I just feel like the and sex have a weird relationship in my head. But I have no issues having sex with other people. At my worse I was hyper sexual when I was in my early 20s.

When my mom got out of jail. When I was like 13, one of her first nights back we were laying together in bed and I had the desire to DRY HUMP her. Like really mildly but I did. WHYY?? Why did this happen??! Ugh I feel so confused and gross and like I’m just overthinking. but I genuinely never want to ask her because what if I look crazy? Idk.

TL;DR need advice on how to go about contacting or how to find more contact info for my landlord that I just found out is different than who I believed. Apologies in advance for the long-windedness. Questions are at the end So I asked a question in this sub a bit ago about trying to avoid having to pay rent if I broke my lease because I knew they wouldn’t rent my apartment because they plan to flip it. Most people told me to just ask to see if they would be amenable to ending the lease early. So I did that last week only to be told I would need to talk to the owner. I had been on the phone with the maintenance dept of the management company because of an ongoing issue they have still not resolved, so I thought they meant I just had to talk to someone else so I asked to be transferred. They said they couldn’t do that. So I asked if they had a direct line so I wouldn’t have to go through the automated prompts again. They said no. So I asked if calling the office or using the text line would be better. He said, “no, that’s all for the management company. We are hired by the owner. You would have to talk to the owner directly if you had a question about the lease.” I was a bit dumbfounded by this because I had never been given any other information. My former landlord sold my building at the end of February and just told us that we would be contacted by [first name last name] realty on how to pay rent for March. The next day I had a letter from [3 letters] management with an intro and how to pay my rent. We were given a phone number to call and a different one to text. Around that time I got a text from the text number who identified himself as same [first name last name] from [3 letters] management. So at this point, I assumed he was my landlord. I did ask the maintenance guy if he could just tell me the name of the owner and he said he knew it but couldn’t give out that information. I was kind of at a loss at this point and venting to my friend and he told me I could look up the property records online. The owner is an LLC that was created about a month before buying my building. I only have a PO Box address in a city 2+ hours from my apt. I really don’t want to mail a letter asking for them to contact me about mutually ending the lease early. I had been hesitant just to ask the management company when I thought they were the landlord just because of how difficult they have made this. I have to imagine a landlord that hasn’t made themselves known and is also kicking out of everyone from the building to flip it is not going to be helpful. I tried googling and the AI overview states that a landlord must notify tenants who the new owner is but when I click into the articles, nothing I have found explicitly states this. So my questions are: Was someone supposed to tell me who my actual landlord was and how to contact them? Are there other resources I can use to find out how to contact my landlord other than the P.O. Box? Is it worth talking to a different person at the management company to see if they would be willing to give me more info? Should I try to ask my old landlord for this info? Has anyone else gone through something like this and what did you do? TIA

Trying to type this out without sound like a hoarder. Basically I move every few years and tired of extra baggage. I have tub boxes that have stuff in it that I never see because I move so much but then again I question do even need it and eventually tell myself just hold onto it. For example, a red dot for my pistol, do I need to keep the pelican box for it or items that I think I'll eventually showcase but I move every 3 years that I just leave it in the box.

I really don't know what to flair this as. My mom did weird things to us/made us eat weird things because she was a "health nut." For a time we had juice in our cereal instead of milk. It was disgusting. I'm sure I tried to eat it dry but I wasn't allowed. I have tons of sensory issues with food now. Go figure.
My mom would give me and my sisters enemas. I have one memory of it when I was four but I know it happened multiple times. I remember my sisters and I protesting but my mom wasn't afraid to use physical violence to control someone. The "rule" was that if you didn't go #2 at school, you get an enema that day. I wonder how many times my mom did that to me as a little four year old and older. To my sisters. They were older so they got the idea to lie and say they had gone that day at school. I got left behind in that regard. I wasn't smart enough to lie and I'm not sure how much of this happened when I was stuck at home and out of school.
I feel weird and totally detached thinking about it. It came up and I was like...that was...seriously fucked up. Who penetrates their kid over and over like that. A part of me is saying I was assaulted. Another part says that's invalidating to victims of sexual assault. Idk how to feel. When I was institutionalized a lady kept pulling me aside and asking me if I'd been rxped. I told her no. Because I haven't. But it made me realize how shut down I was by 7th grade. But how do you explain this? It's not rxpe. But it's the non consensual penetration of a child over and over. I'm not sure what physical violence was involved then. All I know is that when I fought back violence happened. I can only really remember things clearly after I was 6/7. I'm not sure how long it went on for. I'd ask my sisters but I'd rather not bring it up.
One part of me feels like this offensive to share. The other is alone and desperate for help. I've never spoken about this with anyone but my sisters. The last time it was brought up (idk when, long ago) they kind of laughed it off. Probably because they found ways to escape. Or it's to cope. Idk. I've never been able to laugh it off.
Is there a name for this kind of abuse? Ive heard of covert incest but idk if that fills that category. Idt there was anything sexual behind it but I could be wrong.

So I was watching the original Footloose with my wife over the weekend and saw something interesting at the end of the movie. During the scene were the kids are awkwardly waiting around before the dance there are 2 boys and a girls standing next to some stairs (1:35:18 on Prime Video). You see the guy in the grey suit on the right with his hand through the stairs and a guy in a brow suit on the left with a girl between them. The guy in the brown suit is also resting his arm on the stairs. The guy in the grey suit move his hand and it looks like they're holding hands. It's blocked by the girl, but I don't see how they guys aren't holding hands. This is either a blooper or very subtle messaging.

I’m currently on day 2 of a week long vacation with my wife, wife’s mom and dad, sister, sister’s husband and their two kids.
My wife and I are going through a bit of a rough patch financially, so we’ve been trying to be smart about our spending on this trip, and we’ve been doing a good job too. But everyone else in the family has or had very high paying jobs, and our jobs just don’t pay as well. They have, at every possible chance, thrown it in our faces that we didn’t pay for the house we’re staying in.
We got back from the beach today, and my wife and I wanted to go drive the golf cart around town a bit. We get about 5 minutes down the road, and her dad calls her telling her we need to come back because her sister wanted to go to town now that the kids were down for a nap. She was like “we told you guys we were leaving, they should have told us to wait for them.” Of course that set her sister off. She started bitching about how we didn’t pay for the house so we shouldn’t have control over the golf cart.
So we stop at one store, get a drink and head back to the house. When we get there, no one was ready to go anywhere, they were in the pool. So my wife makes a joke about how her and I are going to go rent bikes so we don’t have to hear anyone bitch about us anymore. Her mom FREAKED out on her. “You two aren’t paying for anything this week so I don’t want to hear anything else about it.” Then she said “you’re just a bitch.” To my wife.
So she stormed off, I followed her, and we both just kind of sat inside for a while occasionally being like wtf is wrong this these assholes?
FOURTY FIVE minutes later, her sister comes in and asks if we wanted to go to town with them. We both laughed at her and said no, obviously. So her and her husband left. They came back in ten fucking minutes.
There are so many other issues too. My mother in law and sister in law are the biggest assholes I’ve literally ever met. The way they both talk to their husbands like they’re the stupidest people on the planet makes my blood boil. And you know what? They just let them. They don’t say anything back to them except complying to whatever ridiculous demand they have at the moment.
We went to dinner with her mom and dad, and her mom dropped the cherry from her cocktail on her dress. She made a big scene about it, and then yelled at my father in law to stop sitting there and go get her a napkin. So of course he gets up immediately and goes to look for one. He was gone a while, and she muttered “how long does it take to get a fucking napkin.” Then said I’m just going to go to the bathroom. Like that couldn’t have been her first move instead of making a fucking scene? Then when the check came they wouldn’t let us pay for ourselves, so I can’t wait to have that held over my head tomorrow.
I’ve told my wife if she ever speaks to me like they do to their husbands I will walk out of her life immediately without a second thought. I don’t put up with that shit, and she knows it.
Why don’t these men have a spine and stand up for themselves? It’s not hard to tell your significant other they are crossing a line.
We’re going on a trip with my family later this year, and you know what I’m not going to hear? A single word about how poor we are. They’re going to be happy that we are able to be there and spend time with them instead of bitching at us because of our situation.
I’m never going on a trip with these assholes again. They’ll be lucky if I ever even go to their house anymore.
I’m so lucky I grew up in a family that knows what actual love is, and I’m glad my wife has an example of what a good mother is instead of the crazy witch she’s had to put up with.
I just really needed to vent to someone and I don’t want to burden my mother with it because she would be worried about me. Lol.

Egret has often been asked what it feels like to be in a jet while it crashes. She has never been able to answer that question until now. There was definitely panic, but also a lot of anger. One of her claws was desperately trying to keep her eagle jet level, the other was battling with the jammed eject throttle. She looked back at her jet to assess the damage. “By Cavora!” She cursed under her breath seeing that two-thirds of her wing had been sheared off. Her earpiece crackled to life as Eswald screamed. “Egret! EJECT! EGRET EJECT NOW!” The fear in his voice caused Egret’s own panic to rise exponentially. Her silvery feathers were all sticking up as the adrenaline and epinephrine levels in her small body rose.
“I CAN’T IT IS STUCK!!” Egret shouted back over the earpiece as she let go of the yoke entirely to tug on the eject throttle, but it wouldn't budge at all. She screamed in horror as the panic rose within her. “EGRE—” Her earpiece cut out. Both claws went back to the yoke as her jet started to do uncontrollable aileron rolls. She put all her strength into trying to regain control as alarms started to blare.
Her face lit up as the wind sheer, overspeed, bank angle, stall, engine fire, and GPWS blared their warnings and lit up all over the cockpit control boards. “I KNOW! I KNOW! I KNOW!” She cried, tears starting to form in her eyes as she desperately battled to level out her jet.
Her efforts did not prove fruitless as she managed to pull the plain into a hard but controlled dive. Her altitude warning started to go off, warning her that she was. “600 meters”
Her adrenaline levels were now off the charts, all the blaring and stimulation faded into the background as she stared at the now rapidly approaching body of water that she was hurtling towards at almost 2,000 kilometers per hour. “500” the soulless robotic voice informed Egret.
Not wanting to give up, Egret continued to pull up on the yoke, cursing under her breath. “400… 300… 200… ALTITUDE! PULL UP!” The warning screamed at her as she dropped beneath 100 meters to the ocean beneath her.
Her voice got very squeaky and high pitched, like that of a new hatchling as she launched into a quick prayer, her words slurring together. “Oh great eagle beast, please provide me with protection. May the lifeblood of chi sustain me in my time of need. And may the sky above give my soul freedom in the event of my death.”
“30.. 20.. 15… PULL UP! TOO LOW! PULL UP! WARNING OVERSPEED! WARNING OVERSPEED! WINDSHEER! STALL STALL!” All the alarms screamed at her as she let go of the yoke one last time and braced for impact. All the sounds and panic left her as she processed the water rising to meet her jet.
She expected to die on impact, but instead everything slowed down to an almost complete stop as she felt her jet bounce off the water's surface. She felt her body be thrown against her restraints and the speed of the jet start to spin vertically up. Anything not bolted down was floating in the air around her as the jet’s cockpit started to roll up towards the sky.
She was thrown sideways and forwards when the jet started another spin, she felt her left arm slide out of her socket as she slammed against her chair. She was jerked hard to the left as the jet’s other wing hit the water forcing a sideways roll. Her head collided hard with the hard metal sides and she immediately lost all conscious thought.
Egret coughed up a lot of blood and some fleshy chunks. In a panic she inhales and gets a lungful of water. Now hacking that up, with more blood, she started to panic. She fiddled with her still strapped harness and got it undone. She could feel the fear of death building in her as tears started to form in her eyes.
The jet groaned as it continued to sink down. Egret grabbed the hatch release and pulled it as hard as she could and kicked at her shattered but still intact windshield. Her movements sluggish and uncoordinated, her ankle bent at a very unnatural angle every time it collided with the cockpit hatch.
She screamed, her will to live surged through her as she gave one last kick and the hatch popped open and shattered. Egret started to push her way to the surface, every movement caused enough pain for her to almost black out. Her lungs screamed for oxygen as she approached the surface. She broke it and took a breath of fresh air. Oxygen never tasted sweeter. She then started hacking out all of the seawater she had inhaled, causing the water around her to turn into an off-red from the mix of blood and bile in it.
“Thank the beasts.” She sighed as she saw the shore wasn’t far from her. She slowly but strongly made her way to the warm sands. All the adrenaline and energy leaving her. Her body collapsed and turned her head to the sky as she passed out from exhaustion and exertion.
