im gonna go into full explicit detail about everything that happened from a-z. and i want opinions
i met this guy at a social event and we clicked instantly (as friends because i had another bf at the time and hes gonna become relevant in the story). lets just call the guy at the event john and lets call my ex alex. me and alex broke up about 3 days after i met john and i started to develop feelings for john. me and alex ended up trying to “talk things out” even tho i was just attached and wanted the attachment to wear off. so we were “talking” but we werent exclusive and had no boundaries and i knew i was eventually going to cut alex off because i didnt see a future with him, i just was attached because we had memories and he was my first ever boyfriend
me and john liked each other, on october 7th we kissed. and about 4 days later i met up with alex and “hooked up” which i later found out he sexually assaulted me
i was avoiding john because the entire situation was hard on me and i was tired of having to choose because i was the first girl john ever liked and i felt bad about kissing him and i DIDNT want a relationship (at the time) slowly, john blocked me because he had enough and thats when i realized i didnt want alex anymore. i cut alex off for john. john asked me if i met up with alex after me and him kissed and i said no because my god forsaken self fucking forgot, as much as it sounds like an excuse, its not. i had no memory of seeing alex after me and john kissed. and so me and john started to become exclusive after we met up and talked things out. i told him i didnt see alex after me and john kissed.
we dated and we were so happy until we broke up for a few days because he wasnt ready for a relationship, we got back together and we were happy.
theres the part where i start to fuck up. and i wont deny a single thing i did
theres a guy named eric, or at least we will call him that. i used to “like” eric, not even like i just thought he was cute. nothing too deep. im friends with his girlfriend and she trusts me enough because she knows i feel nothing for him, but she trusts me to come to me whenever they have issues in the relationship because she KNOWS its nothing like that
theres another guy named timmy, timmy and eric go to the same school so theyre in the same class. timmy is spreading shit rumors about me and its no fucking rumor anyone could ignore. it was a rumor where i had a “sex tape”, have 3 bodies, and had sex with john even tho non of it is fucking true. it was getting so bad my friends were getting dms saying “your little friend had sex with her boyfriend and i have proof”. it was so fucking bad. not to mention, im a minor and i live in a small fucking country shit gets spread so fast here. and so i would go to eric as ask him about timmy because i was gonna take legal action against timmy because it was going so fucking far. and john didnt like that. because he knew i used to “like” eric. which i fucking didnt and i just thought the dude was good looking lol
and so i would only speak to eric to ask about timmy and i would let john know about. except this one god forsaken time where i didnt show a fucking continuation of a conversation and he got so mad he started threatening to break up with me
keep in mind, im an anxious attachment and im pretty sure john is avoidant even tho in the relationship he was surely an anxious so i dont know cause we havent spoken in a fucking month lmao
we both are borderline by the way.
so this is a part where i fuck up
the reason why i use the name eric is because eric is like someone who associates himself with eric cartmen from south park, he makes him his entire personality and its just a joke between him and everyone 😭 as immature as it sounds, i dressed up as eric cartmen for characters day in school and i showed eric the outfit because i thought it was funny and didnt think anything of it. i didnt show john but i didnt hide it from him either because i know john would go through my phone and i didnt see anything wrong with what i did, until he went through my phone and saw the chat, keep in mind, i do delete chats with my friends sometimes because i dont want john to see some things because of privacy, not out relationship, but between me and a specific few girls he doesnt like and doesnt want me to be friends with
and so he saw the message and got upset, and i took the hint that this guy just doesnt want me to interact w eric at all and i understood but i understood him way too fucking late and he broke up with me
which for some reason my dumbass was shocked even tho he made it clear that he didnt want me speaking to john so this is where i realized i fucked up
i took it as a lesson and learned to not do it again but i was too late
me and john break up and i wanted him back badly. an hour after the breakup i started posting on my story about a random guy that i made up and acted like i liked him to piss off john and make him jealous which was a bad fucking idea
to me, the more someone doesnt want me, the more i want them. thats how i thought it was
and he found out and got pissed off. he ended up texting alex and found out i met up with alex after me and john kissed. but no one was aware that i was actually sexually assaulted by alex and i found out later because my friend went through the same thing. me and john stayed talking to see if we could work it out and i fucked up by telling him to stop basing our relationship over something from the past that happened over 8 months ago. he got pissed and blocked me

during this time, my friend told me he would always consider going back to me and missed me and loved me so much. and john did love me. a LOT. he bought me flowers, a ring, everything. like he did everything for me and he did love me so deeply
and now we havent spoken over a month and its slowly killing me because my friend who was close with him said he was dead set with his decision n doesnt wanna get back with me. i dont know if this will change because right now he has new priorities like studies since hes graduating soon. but right now, he seems dead set with his decision even tho his biggest fear was losing me. i saw the way he would talk about me and we were so deeply in love.
but john thinks i cheated on him with what happened with alex. my friend told him he sexually assaulted me but it was very vague and he doesnt know the details.
i was johns first love. first EVERYTHING. we broke up march 18 and last spoke april 19 where he thought i was shit talking him and i proved i wasnt. he later said he was worried about me but right now he doesnt seem to care.

~ General Recommendations (All Consoles) For Anyone Who Can't Decide ~

First off, I won't recommend big or famous games like Final Fantasy or Persona, this is more for lesser know, hidden gems, or just games where it's hard to find someone talking about them.

[Valkyria Chronicles]

[Valkyria Chronicles 4]

This one is really hard to explain through words alone, but just in case, the VC series is a World War 2 military setting story, where you act as the lead of a squad and take mission to drive back the enemy. The story is drama heavy and the gameplay is tactical turn-based, but it's mixed with real-time third person shooter.
You can also make your own army by recruiting different types of solders, training them and upgrading their gear. From rifles to tanks, this is a game you have to experience to understand.

[Fuga: Melodies of Steel 1 & 2]

Great game, great art style, and really well made and balanced turn-based combat. That alone is enough to get the game. Then you add the time-management part of the game, where you spend time upgrading the different tank rooms, cooking, exploring ruins, spending time to bond with other characters, and so on. It's also great if you want a game that you can play for an hour or 2 and then put down for later. As the game is played through stages, and once you're done with a stage, you get an intermission to do what you want and come back to it later.
It's not a long game (compared to the usual JRPG), as you mentioned, it's about 20 hours. Story-wise I think it was a bit too short. Gameplay wise it was great fit, because it didn't outstay it's welcome, and it ends when you feel you have mastered the gameplay and want to face the final challenge.
The story is good, but isn't the focus. Gameplay is the main focus. In fact you'll feel that a lot of context isn't told in the story, but instead left for you to either read about in the in-game wiki or just figure out through obvious clues in the story.
There is a big mechanic that this meant to put a lot of pressure on your playthrough (don't worry about it being spoiled because it's literally explained in the first hour of the game). The thing is though, if you have experience in JRPGs or just play in a really well thought out and relaxed manner, then that mechanic might not be as big a deal as they make it seem to be. Yet it's still fun nonetheless.
Fuga 2 is even better. It fixes a lot of the minor issues the first game had, and what's really great, is it improved the "big pressure" mechanic I talked about, and now it actually is a big deal. Then add to that so much little new mechanics added that just makes for a much more fun and challenging game. The 2nd game also continues the same story.

[Ni no Kuni] Series

If you're looking for that great Isekai fantasy adventure feel, then these two games are where it's at. Fantastic visuals and great music, coupled with a great art style, a combo that is perfect for a chill and relaxed gaming experience. Especially when talking about the first game, with the help ofStudio Ghibli, they managed to make a truly whimsical world with that Studio Ghibli classic touch.

[Wrath of the White Witch]

For a the best fantasy adventure feel, while the combat is a hit or miss depending on your taste, don't let that stop you from actually diving into a true fairy tale world, this is the one with the better story in my opinion, so if you want more story than game, this is for you. Still it has a good share of gameplay, from raising and collecting Pokemon-like monsters, to learning and using different spells, not just in combat but for the overworld too.

[Ni no Kuni™ II: Revenant Kingdom]

This one focuses more on gameplay, with a Kingdom builder, Army battles, Heavy loot focus, and even character collector, this is the one to go with if you want more game than story. Still has the great music and he fantastical art style and setting. Add to that a lot of side activities like beating rare monsters, collecting cute creatures to help you in battle, and even going around the world to gather people to help you build your kingdom. You'll never be short on things to do.
Finally, both of them have beautifully draw world that is just a pleasure to walkthrough, made even better with the amazing orchestral soundtrack.

[Star Ocean The Second Story R]

The original PS1 game was already an amazing JRPG and a classic. But this remake takes it to go even further beyond SSJ3. It should be the standard on how to make a faithful remake on of a classic title.
I don't want to overhype it more than I already did. So to keep this short, this remake does so much:

• All major story events are now fully voice acted. This includes a lot of the private actions too.
  
• Fully redone and better translation of the game.
  
• New Character to recruit to the party.
  
• New Private Actions and 13 new Endings.
  
• New character portraits, not just for the main cast, but also for many other characters.
  
• A complete rework for the battle system to be up to modern standards.
  
• So many QoL features:
  
  • Auto-saving
  • Fast-forward cut-scenes or skip them.
  • Text log
  • All difficulties can be accessed from the start
  • Fast travel
  • 3 different voice dubbing options to choose from (New English, Original Japanese, New Japanese)
  • Your choice of different art styles
  • Choose between original OST and new rearranged OST.
  • No random battles anymore, as enemies can be seen and avoided

And believe me when I say I still haven't touched half of the amazing work that has gone into this remake.

[Sword and Fairy 7: Together Forever]

They did a great job with the presentation of the game. Great voice acting (Chinese), great graphics, amazing music, and an impressive attention to details of the world and it's lore, especially the engineering of the buildings and their decor. Then you have the really beautiful design of each piece of gear, and even just normal attire of each NPC and the disciples of each sect or soldiers of each of the different of each plane (gods, humans, demons).
Then we go to how great looking the monsters and local flora and fauna of each realm. You can feel the intense work that has gone into making and animating each of them. It really is a joy to watch them, as much as it is to watch each environment you see them in. There really isn't enough time to talk about how good the presentation is.
As for the story. First off, I am not an expert in Chinese novels mythology, but I am a big fan of Xianxia and Wuxia novels. So when I say that the story is...good but nothing great, I am saying this as more than just a JRPG fan, but also someone who is very into this type of world and Chinese martial arts fantasy setting. it's nothing that will stick in your mind, apart from the events that take place in some of the beautiful set pieces in the game, or the cut-scenes with beautiful action cheoragphy.
The gameplay is also about average. The side-quests are fun and are worth doing if nothing more than for learning more about the lore and the world. But the actual battles and action gameplay isn't as good as the best ones out there, but it's not bad. I have ran into some bugs, some small, some big, but that was when the game just came out, and it did receive a lot of patches since then. You can tell that they aimed to make a huge triple A production, but didn't have the time or manpower to test a game of this size. It's still fun to play and experience, but the level of gameplay is nowhere near the level of the presentation that the game gives the impression of having just from watching the gameplay or trailers.
If you enjoy walking through magical and fantastic looking JRPG worlds, or if you enjoy Xianxia/Wuxia fiction, then this is an easy choice. Hell even if you don't, it's still worth a go at this price.

[Blue Dragon] & [Lost Odyssey]

These two are classic titles that will probably won't be ported to or remade to modern consoles. That's why this might be the last way you'll ever get to experience 2 classic titles of the genre. Lost Odyssey has great story writing and unique character settings, and Blue Dragon has great exploration and a really fun character class customization system, and one hell of a boss theme.

[Monster Sanctuary]

This is a solid game, everything in is polished and balanced to make sure you are having fun collecting new monsters and customizing your team through evolution/skill trees/gear and making the best in-sync party you can. I only wish it was longer, it's not short by any means, but it's not long either. I would say depending on if you're trying to "catch them all" and explore everything and fight all bosses, this could easily be a 30+ hours game, but if you focus on the story, then it's about 20 to 30 hours. Now even longer with the 2 new free DLC expansion added.
Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining that it's short, but that I was having so much fun, that I wish it didn't end.

Story time. I'm playing a Garthimi Slave-City build. Based in a desert, rampaging across the countryside and taking slaves / property. I get to 2k citizens (Garthimi only) and 8k slaves before things completely flop on me since I have no Garthimi slaves on hand to emancipate in order to up the submission temporarily. So they finally start uprising right as I am in the middle of trying to up their quality of life so that they aren't AS mad at me.
Then the funny thing happens. This is the first uprising that has happened to me. They start gathering, presumably looting my supplies while they are at it, all along the central river on both sides. But they just keep gathering. And I guess some of them were low on clothes, and it may have been a hot day. Anyway. I have 1200 new corpses on my hands due to heat stroke. Still haven't uprisen. I suppose that might happen eventually, or they might all die first. Honestly not certain which at this point. I wish they'd dig the graves first though because I'm only equipped for 1800 corpses at the moment and I have concerns...

Hey All!
So these are not my stories, but they are from other teachers on my kindergarten team. I wanted to share to maybe get you to laugh, or maybe it will horrify you!
This first teacher I will call Ms. D. The other day, for our “ABC countdown from kindergarten” letter P was for picnic. Ms. D took her class outside for lunch and they sat on picnic blankets! Or kid, who I will call Mike. Was apparently VERY mad. Mike said he apologized to two girls and they won’t forgive him. Wanna know what Mike did? He spat in those two girls’ faces! And Ms. D said “yeah I wouldn’t accept your apology either!”
The other story is from Ms. M who is our lead teacher. She gets her class from lunch the other day and sees three of her students kicking around a “turd.” None of the students would admit to the turd being theirs. So, the AP had to go and watch the camera footage to see who was the poop producer. So, yeah!
We are almost there!

Just got done drying my eyes and trying to come down from the death Cassius. What a beautiful well written character. From douchebag to brother to scumbag to hero. His arc was truly astounding to me. The back and forth he had with Darrow was one of the best parts in this book for me. Like Cassius was legit funny to me, his quips and banter made a book that was just as bleak as dark age in some parts made it feel so much more digestible. Also I’m not gonna lie I really shipped him and Lyria, I got so giddy when she said she used to blush every time he saw her. Cassius was the true highlight of the book for me.
Darrow’s plight and quest to rediscover himself was refreshing. The mental battle that he had to wage was interesting to watch. Him having it out with Sevro was pretty cool moment too. Best friends sometimes fight and It nice to see them make up and Severo come back to fold.
The action in this book was awesome I know everyone likes Dark Age’s action scenes, but the fight with the Obsidian Fake King felt like a damn anime fight to me. CLANG CLANG CONFESS is such a cold hard line I loved every minute of it. The villains in this book were numerous and compelling. Lysander stole the show for me, watching his slow descent to evil was a treat. I haven’t hated a fictional character like I have hated him in a long time. I hated reading his chapters because this little shit head keeps winning. I want him to feel the stress and anxiety that Darrow feels constantly. Hoping Red God delivers that in some capacity.
Overall, this series is amazing. I haven’t felt this giddy about a book series since I read the Horus Hersey. The world Brown has built is so full and rich. Years of history and social constructs, brutality of war and hatred, love for your family and friends. This book series has it all. I remember reading the first RR book and thinking “huh so this is hunger games in space pft okay” boy I was so wrong. I can’t be believe how small the stakes were back then. Back when Darrow biggest issue was wishing he had some bread to go along with his meat in the institute. I heard some people complain that after Morning Star the reading isn’t as good. Idk what they were smoking because this shit is amazing.
My only question to you guys is what do you want out of Red God? I’m not sure if Brown is done after that but would you want prequels? Immediate sequels or ones set far in the future? Personally, some prequels about the fall of earth would be awesome. They refer to the American and Indian Empires final stands against Luna a lot in the series. I really want more nitty gritty details on that story. Anyways, thanks for reading my post. It was more of ramble but I just finished the book and I’m in shock kinda. Here’s to waiting for Red God!

TW - topic could be considered sacrilegious by some christians. So I'm currently writing a short story that takes Dante's interpretation of hell (found in "Inferno") and lovecraftian fiction, then mixes it with a bunch of cooking and some religious humor. My problem is that my cooking knowledge-and by extension my ability to create cooking jokes-is fairly basic, so I thought I would look to reddit for help in being funny (commonly advised against online).
The story follows two suburban, "grill" dads who find an old cook book called "The Necrocookicon". Looking for new ideas to bring to their neighborhood's annual summer cook off, they decide to try one of the recipes, Razing Caine's Fiery Chicken. When they try to eat the dish they are whisked away through a portal to tenth circle of the inferno, Hell's Kitchen. There, Satan offers them the secret recipe to his very own Diablo sauce if they can best the four sous chefs of the apocalypse in a cooking gameshow challenge.

So sometime last year I took my car to a shop just for an oil change, and they opted for me to get all these things fixed on my car. Me being the anxious nervous type I said yea whatever when I should’ve just said no. I told them I didn’t have the money to pay for all these fixes up front, and so they put me on to this loan company called Koalafi. Long story short I now owe Koalafi over 2k, and I haven’t taken my car back to that shop for any of the fixes I was scheduled for because I don’t trust that car shop either, and most of my fixes are probably past due. I feel I’m screwed all around. Is there any way I can get out of this with Koalafi with some type of debt relief company? Please help.

This isn't a book request per se, I'm more thinking out loud about how much I relate to MFCs who are open to romance and do want to get together with the MMC.
In HR, in alien romances, in paranormal stories, I'm all into the MFC who is ready to go for her arranged husband/fated mate/monster boyfriend.
This is just me but I don't enjoy "MMC woos/convinces/works to win the MFC "storylines (save for rejection/betrayal stories)*.
No need to convince me, pal, I'm already hot to trott. In fact, maybe I need to convince YOU so that you match my enthusiasm for this forced marriage/fated mating/monster match.
Some of my favourite stories have an open and emotionally forward MFC who shows interest without shame or fear and is excited by the prospect of a partner.
*Sidenote: I get quite anxious about (non-dark romance) storylines where the MFC repeatedly says "No" to the MMC's attentions and he continues with his "wooing". It reminds me of IRL pestering by people who were unwilling to understand a simple No or Not Interested and kept asking me out or trying to romance me. Nope.
I especially love an eager MFC in a sci-fi/paranormal storyline and I will probably DNF if the MFC keeps rejecting the MMC until the end. I get bored and exhausted by those storylines.

There's one thing I've felt and realised that no matter how many friends we surround ourselves with in real life, there are moments when loneliness can still creep in and take hold. I'm a 22 year old Indian guy who is currently pursuing his masters degree in Italy. And being in an entirely different country on my own sometimes takes me to that loneliness territory. I'm a 6'1" tall guy (if that matters to you) and I crave those funny & deep conversation that are something more than just being shallow. You know the conversation, where every text makes you more elevated, and you can't help but just cherish that wonderful moment. The conversation flows naturally, and you keep on talking to each other irrespective of the time that has passed.
Love is one of the most exquisite things in this world, and it can hold different meanings for different people. But love for me, is all about care and affection that you show to your partner, that rock-solid assurance that no matter what, you've always got their back. It's when you eagerly anticipate their texts and feel like the luckiest person once it pops on your screen, when their presence, whether online or in person, gives you the reason to start your day with a huge smile. And I've seen my own shares of ups and down in my love life, but that doesn't make me lose any hope, and hopefully I'll soon find my ONE.
A little more about me: I mostly spend my free time analyzing or studying the movies, shows or music. I appreciate this world of entertainment a lot because they are like my escape from this reality. I’m curious on what my options are here to prevent this from affecting my credit score. I just received a text message notice from a debt collector about a $24 debt that I never received an original bill for. Had I known I owed this I would have just paid. I’m not worried about paying the debt but I don’t want this to negatively affect my credit score. Can I dispute this? Or what is my best option in this case?

My city has a pretty nasty collections company that has a long history of trying to collect debts that people don't owe.
My first exchange with them they lied about being a debt collector. When they sued me I went to court with all my documents and they had to admit that some of the documents they had brought were made up a few days before the court date when my documents proved that they didn't exist before.
The case was thrown out.
FFwd a few years they tried to collect on a bill for me being admitted into the hospital. When I told them I had never been hospitalized in my life and that they needed to provide proof of debt ownership they stopped calling.
A few months back they got on my wife's case and she just ignored it. I found out when I got a notice that they were seeking garnishment of my wages. I was upset that she had not told me about it. I got on the phone and sent certified letters denying the debt and asking for proof of ownership. They stopped calling me. I
Today my wife gets a call explained to my wife that they weren't allowed to call us until they provided the proof of debt and if they called to just hang up or ask them to provide the location of the proof.
Today at work my wife calls me and says she got a call for them and set up a payment plan because we apparently owe 10k.... they never provided proof but by her acknowledging ownership of the debt they now have no legal requirements to and we are basically fucked.
She is a stay at home wife after begging me for months to be able to stay home. Which means she screwed us out of 10k that I will end up having to work for. She doesn't understand why I'm mad and that I should be proud of her for taking responsibility for her debt.
I am LIVID if we actually owed 10k I would pay it but this company is the definition of corruption and I'm 99% the debt is totally bogus as I'm very organized and make sure our bills are paid. Plus the fact they didn't contact us at all for 6 or 7 months after I requested proof of debt says everything you need to know about it.
My wife and I had many long conversations about how they needed to provide proof of the debt and that she should let me know if they called because any contact without that proof is a violation of law.
Instead she completely ignored everything I said.
Si am I the a hole for being so livid with her?

Recently, I have been receiving calls every weekday from various numbers, which I originally thought were the typical scam calls I receive on my phone from time to time. However, the other day I noticed that one of the numbers had a ‘verified by the carrier’ checkbox, and reverse looked them up with the lookup saying that number and other numbers are from “Midland Credit Management.” It looks like they have been calling my # every weekday since 5/1. They have never left any messages.
The things is, I don’t have any debt. My credit score is in 810s-830s range, so I’m confused as to why they would be calling me. I have moved several times over the past 3-10 years, so I suppose it is theoretically possible that there was some unknown closing fee for a various utility service, but my mail was being forwarded by USPS for 1 year after each move so I doubt this. I have not received anything in the mail, and my credit report (which I’ve read debt collectors can access) does have my current address since I have an active loan on the house I’m living in.
I plugged in my basic info into their site (which asked for last name, month/year of birth, and last 4 of SSN) with both my current and maiden last names, and it did not pull up any account. I also pulled up my credit reports and it shows no missed/late payments or collection account as of (5/11).
My significant other says I shouldn’t answer or give them any info about myself because they might try to pin whatever they are calling about on me, irrespective of whether it was a legitimate debt, or whether the debt was actually my debt. He reckons that if they have something legitimate which is attached to my name/identity, they should have enough of my personal information and I should receive a letter or other form of contact from them. It should also appear on my credit report if they have an open account on me.
I’ve had this cell # for 2 decades, so it’s unlikely to e someone’s previous number. However my first and previous last name are both very common names (there are many people with my name), so perhaps if they were looking for someone they got my number that way?
Should I answer their calls? Or is my husband correct? I’m definitely afraid to talk to them because when I research them they sound pretty scummy. What would happen if I continued to ignore the calls? Is he correct that if I were to ignore the calls I should receive other communication if it’s something legit and intended for me? I worry that if they did try to contact and it was something legit, what if they send it to a wrong address?!

To be clear, I am a woman in my early twenties, and I would say my parents were very involved in my life, cared a lot for my safety, and told me that they accept me for who I am. I am lucky for always being fed, clothed, and most of the time being supported. They have actually become a lot more stable in my adult years. But sometimes I get memories from childhood to very upsetting moments that make no sense. For example, I have this one particular memory of me being about 7 or 8 years old and going on a walk with my mom. I was looking at the cars driving by and she suddenly grabs my arm and yells at me and tells me never to look at cars because they are going to think I am a whore and kidnap me. my mom also did and still does this weird thing where she suspects I am flirting with any man in the vicinity. She used to be obsessed with this one boy who was my age and cut grass in the neighborhood, and she would always assume we were together even though I never spoke to him. She still does this even if we're out somewhere and a man makes small talk with me, she makes it really uncomfortable and sexual. I get the feeling that she thought I was whoring around my teens years even thought I am a closeted virgin lesbian who has never even kissed anyone(i have a fear of intimacy and severe social anxiety). I also remember her saying to me many times "I love you but I don't like you" when I did something to disappoint her. Or another story, when I was 8 my parents let me play with these older kids the girl being 12 and the guy 15, and we would be alone a lot of the time. So naturally the older kids showed me p***hub, chat roulette, omegle, anything and everything that was traumatizing. my young brain didn't know how to process what I kept being shown, so i would think it was funny and it peaked my curiousity. I learned a bunch of sexual terms, and even showed my other friend omegle (lets call her Lily). So one day Lily's mom checked her computer and found Omegle in the search history, and called my parents. My parents sat me down and berated me, insulted me, hysterically cried about how it's all my fault for being a disappointment, told me that other girls in my position would commit suicide, broke my computer in half (even though I never ever searched it up on my home computer) Then called every single member of my family and their friends and told them my business. I wasn't allowed to hang out anymore with any of my friends. It was humiliating. And I felt isolated for the first time. as a 20 year old who hopes to be a mom one day, I can see their reaction was incredibly traumatizing and immature, because they never ever once did take any responsibility for not paying enough attention. I was sexually abused online by a pedophile at that age as well and they ended up finding out and screamed at me for it as if it was my fault. I feel tears welling up in my eyes because I know as a parent I would have never handled the situation like this.

Last night, someone on here made a post asking us what Dropouts opinion are we would defend 1M vs. one. My answer was that no matter how great the podcast is now, nothing will top the dynamic of the original trio. That discussion gave me an idea.
For some who may be new to Dropouts, I figured I would take a dive into “the lore” (as the kids say these days) to help explain some nostalgic pieces of the podcast you may or may not been here for. The best way to do that is talk about original running gags. Some of these are more known than others, some you may have forgot about, and some you may not remember.
But as someone who has watched from the very beginning, here are my top 6 Dropouts running gags of all time.
#6 - Indiana’s “fake” accent
This gag was fueled by social media comments that always wondered about the inconsistency of Indiana’s Australian accent. But it eventually became one of the more iconic jokes of the podcast. It seems stupid but for whatever reason, we always thought it was pretty funny when Indiana was called out her accent dropping out or coming back. With Zach constantly mimicking her sometimes-thick Australian accent whenever there’s a noticeable difference in annunciation. It was quite simple but genius. Turning a common misconception into a deadpan gag that still leaves people wondering to this day. Is Indiana from Australia? Yes. Does her accent come and go making it very confusing for a majority of viewers? Also, yes.
#5 - Swag-daddies
Who remembers this VERY old one? This gag was part of what each of the trio would call their individual teams/fanbases. Swag-daddies was the original name for team Zach in the very beginning. No one really knew what it meant, why it worked, or where it came from. But it stuck for a while and somehow perfectly displayed the embodiment of Zach’s presence. Memeable, out of pocket, and backhandedly crass. If I had to guess, I would say it’s kind of an ironic-undertone to mock the “TikTok fuckboy” population that was pretty relevant at the time. Although Zach’s online persona can be very polarizing on the internet, the OG fans would jokingly justify his antics as “just being a swag-daddy.” A much simpler time when Zach’s verbal antics were publicly seen as satire and nothing else.
#4 - Team Whole Milk
Swag-daddies was Team Zach, but this team name was by far the best. Team Whole Milk was the original name for team Jared in the beginning. In early episodes, Jared would open up about struggles with his weight as a kid. Which Jared would refer to this chapter of his life as ‘F.J.’ or ‘Fat Jared’. He shortly after revealed that as a kid that he would drink multiple glasses of whole milk every single day, believing it was healthy. For those who don’t know, it’s exact opposite. Either way, team Whole Milk was born. Representing Jared fairly well. The happy-go-lucky underdog with a wholesome and positive energy.
#3 - The Ketchup Bottle
This one is a bit controversial because of the behind-the-camera details we know now, but it’s still an iconic part of the podcast that needs to be mentioned. For the new fans of the podcast, next time you’re watching, make sure to look for the Ketchup and Mustard bottles that are now catty-cornered in between Zach and Tara these days. The history of those two inanimate objects is a lot deeper than you might think. For those of you that don’t know about the first recording set, it was originally supposed be for a show called “Zach’s Diner”. Where Zach would have guests on in a Nickelodeon-metaverse feel of Jack Black’s “Between Two Ferns”. In original diner set, between to the shiny red booths, were subway-style themed Ketchup and Mustard bottles, that would eventually be part of the Dropouts set. And still are to this day. The originated gag went like this. Whenever Zach pissed off Indiana, she would pick up the Ketchup bottle, and throw it at Zach as hard as she could. Missing him 99.9% of the time. This bit/gag was harmlessly funny at the beginning until we found out there was more darker story to it. I’m just glad Indiana has grown so much since then and really took the time to learn from her actions. It sucks that this iconic gag was a falling out example of the original trio. But it’s still huge part of the Dropouts Podcast lore. And it shouldn’t be forgotten.
#2 - The Beach
What happened at the beach? I’m asking because we still… really… don’t know. In an early episode of Dropouts, the trio had a psychic on as a guest to give them all readings. Whether you believe in it or not, the psychic went on to ask Zach and Indiana: “what’s the deal with the beach?” Prompting Indiana and Jared to freak out and run off the set. The comments blew up after this and the speculation of what this was about caught fire. In the following episode, the trio took notice of the fans reactions. Then challenged them to give the video version of the episode 20K likes and they’ll tell the story of what happened at the beach. To this day, this episode only has around 11K likes on YouTube and the story has still not been told. Even though hints were dropped over later episodes, sidetrack jokes were made, no one on the internet ACTUALLY knows what happened at the beach. And with this episode being 4+ years old, we most likely will never know. As far as we’re concerned, it will be locked away in the Dropouts vault forever.
#1 - The Snickers wrapper story
I’m pretty sure everyone who watches the podcast now or started watching from the beginning knows this one. The Snickers wrapper story is not only the most bizarre story told on the podcast but also a running gag that will probably contest the will of time. The origin of this story goes like this. In an early Valentine’s themed episode, Indiana asks Zach and Jared what was the weirdest thing they ever used as a condom. After Zach’s quick-witted answer of “prayer” (which is btw one of Zach’s funniest jokes on the podcast to this day), Jared revealed that he once used a king sized Snickers wrapper as a condom. It’s pretty safe to say that Jared regrets telling this story as the references to it are still made 200+ episodes later. Just know that as funny or as bizarre this story is, it goes back multiple years of episodes. And I don’t think it will ever get old. Making it an easy decision for the #1 Dropouts running gag of all time.

My grandfather recently passed away, leaving his fully paid off home in Walnut Creek California, divided between myself (25year male), my older sister (29years) who is married and just had a son, and my mother, who is remarried and living in a different state. We each were left 33.33% equity.
On Redfin the estimate value of the property is about $950,000.
This past month.. I had saved the rent $ due to my landlord but lost it all. Long story short I gambled away this money online, and being faced with eviction, I decided to offer my sister 5% of my 33.33% equity in return for $2000 Zelle. ( I know ridiculous but it truly was the only viable option).
Before sending the $2000, my sister and her husband wanted to draft a document for us all to sign making it “official” that I was giving my 5% equity in return for $2000. But I needed to pay my rent to avoid eviction that same day, so my father came into the picture and sent me the $2000, with the promise of my sister sending him that money back straight to him. So really if I somehow came up with 2k and paid my dad back today, my sister has no right to be upset with me not gifting her 5% equity at such a LOW price. Not only is that equity worth much more than 2k, but I’d effectively be giving her and her husband full power over my mom & I with the majority % she would now have.
My questions: How much is 5% equity truly worth at this moment? And how much will it be worth down the road? Am I in the wrong to not sign the document when I gave them an offer and they accepted it? My sister when we spoke this morning was irritated I hadn’t signed the document yet, and was even insinuating how upset her and her husband would be if I didn’t proceed with our original verbal agreement. My father would not be happy if he didn’t receive the 2k as quickly as he thought but I’m fairly positive we could worth something out for me to repay him. My father has my back, I know this for a fact.
One last idea which I don’t hate, due to my current poor financial state, ( I have some credit card debt and student loans) Is to offer my sister 5.33 % for a significantly higher amount such as $6,000? This is still a steal of a deal for her.. but like I said I could really use the extra money.
Please refrain from comments about the gambling part of this story.. I know this is the critical mistake i made to land me in this situation.. but i have learned my lesson the hard way and will NOT go down that road again.

Through this post I wish to relay my interpretation of Clockie's adventures abroad The Compass. It is, as told by Pisce, a summary of all the adventures of Clockie. We all know by now that The Watchmaker: Mikhail Char Legwork, is the author of Clockie's adventures. And he wished throughout the series to relay his adventures with the Nameless to us, in a way that would stand the erosion of time...? Regardless, this is what I could make out of it: (If you have an inquiry as to why I took certain interpretations that aren't so obvious, please comment bellow, or contact me, and I'll do my best to explain it to you)
Greenhorn
Our story starts when the astral express embarked toward a new journey. Its hull was damaged, but thankfully Mikhail, the mechanic, managed to repair it in time, and saved everyone abroad the express. That’s when, as a reward, the astral express's navigator: Falcon Amundson gave him his pocket watch.
The astral express arrived at an unknown destination, ravaged by snowstorms, and the strong gust of wind blew the navigator’s hat away. Mikhail set off to retrieve it on his own and returned it to its rightful owner with a shivering smile. In this world where the sunlight grows dimmer every day, The Nameless’ trailblazing expedition led them to discover the truth behind the disaster: a swarm had engulfed the sun! Blocking the sunlight in their wake.
The people of the blizzard begged the Nameless to take them away through the astral express. Their resources were almost depleted in this frozen world. The trailblazers had to lie to the people about their incapability to rally them against the swam, which worked magnificently.
The people, rallied by the express crew, fought valiantly against the swarm disaster. But fighting them off was not enough, the Astral Express’s navigator had to lure the remaining monstrosities away somehow. He dragged the brim of his hat and set off toward the sun, -- probably after finding a True Sting Overlord like the one appearing in Argenti’s story quest -- luring the swarm away with him.
As the sun scorched their bodies, they exploded, destroying the entirety of the swarm. Such a feat, however, did not come without sacrifices. Despite the sun and heat returning to the people, that day marked the last day the express crew would see their beloved navigator.

Crème de la crème
The astral express continues its journey and finds itself at the Garden of Recollection’s domain. As we all know, they don’t welcome outsiders. The crew was stopped outside the palace, and Mikhail had no choice but to help the crew find a way out of this predicament. That’s when he made a certain discovery which would allow him to mimic the garden’s royalties, sending him to the heart of the imperial palace where he’ll be setting off on a new adventure!
As he strolled the palace’s halls at night, he bumped into a rather curious lady. She was Razalina, the “princess” of the palace of recollection, and she spoke to Mikhail about her vast knowledge of the garden’s technologies. She was most studious and knowledgeable, but she had never left the palace before... To reciprocate, Mikhail told her about the nameless, their explorations, and trailblazing expeditions throughout the cosmos. Their adventures were known far and wide, and it made Razalina yearn for such an adventurous life outside.
As time went on, Mikhail too started to miss the journey on the Astral Express. He decided to sneak his way back in, but he couldn’t get his newly formed connection with Razalina off of his mind. He wished to have her join them abroad the Express. Little to his knowledge, Razalina has already made her way abroad, and acquainted herself with the crew, who wholeheartedly accepted her arrival. They threw a feast in her name to welcome a new member to the path of the trailblaze. She then became the crew’s cartographer, charting out the cosmos, and allowing the Astral express to move farther and farther into the stellar sea.
Her exit from the realm of memo keepers was not granted, her father – the king – sent a large number of troops to hunt down the Astral Express, but due to their large ignorance of the realm outside the mirrors, they had to withdraw when the crew destroyed dozens of memoria-formed objects in a grand display of strength.
The crew then embarks on a new journey into a world which sought their help. The residents of said world beseeched the Astral Express crew to help them stop Tiernan from hurting their leader, claiming that he planned on “burning down” the village to do so.
Razalina and Mikhail took up the residents’ request, facing Tiernan in battle. But then, they learn the identity of “the real bad guy”. Tiernan explained that the leader planned to use the “fire” to back up the residents into a corner, selling off all their lands to the IPC.
When the crew reported back to the people about their leader’s ploys with the IPC, they took an odd stance to stand with their leader, thinking “It’s not that bad to work with the IPC”.
Following this event, Tiernan alongside the express crew, were promptly kicked out of this community. That’s when the crew relayed its wishes for Tiernan to join them. He gladly accepted the position abroad the Astral Express, quickly making friends with the other crewmates, and vowing to protect them as the new Guard of the Astral Express.
Mikhail, Razalina, and Tiernan quickly became inseparable. Despite their whimsical nature, which constantly put them into trouble, they showed a great display of wits whenever problems would arise.
They went on journeying the cosmic sea, finding hidden treasure inside a tomb, constantly helping to fight off the swarms, spending all their hard-earned cash on trips of leisure, and always flooding the Astral Express’ repositories, causing much trouble to the conductor.
One day, as they journeyed the stars, they received an invitation from the IPC to discover the secrets of a certain Stellaron disaster at what we now call “Penacony”. They couldn’t refuse the invitation due to previous debts they had with the IPC... That’s when Mikhail started helping Razalina with collecting information in a hurry to embark on this new journey. He discovered that this new region was actually a prison!
Eve of Departure
The night before arriving to “Penacony”, Mikhail had a strange dream about “a sea of fire”, “a swathe of darkness”, “a vast wasteland”, and “a glorious paradise”. It was a very long dream, spamming 1111 hours! (It is important to note that “The angel number 1111” is a symbol of “Leadership, New Beginnings, and Spirituality” etc...)
Truly, the symbolism here pretty much dictates all the happenings leading to modern day Penacony.

In a sticky situation. My grandfather recently passed away, leaving his fully paid off home in Walnut Creek California, divided between myself (25year male), my older sister (29years) who is married and just had a son, and my mother, who is remarried and living in a different state. We each were left 33.33% equity.
On Redfin the estimate value of the property is about $950,000.
This past month.. I had saved the rent $ due to my landlord but lost it all. Long story short I gambled away this money online, and being faced with eviction, I decided to offer my sister 5% of my 33.33% equity in return for $2000 Zelle. ( I know ridiculous but it truly was the only viable option).
Before sending the $2000, my sister and her husband wanted to draft a document for us all to sign making it “official” that I was giving my 5% equity in return for $2000. But I needed to pay my rent to avoid eviction that same day, so my father came into the picture and sent me the $2000, with the promise of my sister sending him that money back straight to him. So really if I somehow came up with 2k and paid my dad back today, my sister has no right to be upset with me not gifting her 5% equity at such a LOW price. Not only is that equity worth much more than 2k, but I’d effectively be giving her and her husband full power over my mom & I with the majority % she would now have.
My questions: How much is 5% equity truly worth at this moment? And how much will it be worth down the road? Am I in the wrong to not sign the document when I gave them an offer and they accepted it? My sister when we spoke this morning was irritated I hadn’t signed the document yet, and was even insinuating how upset her and her husband would be if I didn’t proceed with our original verbal agreement. My father would not be happy if he didn’t receive the 2k as quickly as he thought but I’m fairly positive we could worth something out for me to repay him. My father has my back, I know this for a fact.
One last idea which I don’t hate, due to my current poor financial state, ( I have some credit card debt and student loans) Is to offer my sister 5.33 % for a significantly higher amount such as $6,000? This is still a steal of a deal for her.. but like I said I could really use the extra money.
Please refrain from comments about the gambling part of this story.. I know this is the critical mistake i made to land me in this situation.. but i have learned my lesson the hard way and will NOT go down that road again.

Over the past 3 years, I've been touched and inspired by many of the hardship stories & comments people have shared on the GME subs. Often I've found myself in tears or close-to-tears, while I empathically bump my fist at my laptop screen and proclaim solidarity.
When my father passed a few years back, he had little more "wealth" than several thousand in dogshit-catshit mutual funds. They bounced up and down and all around, for a good 20 years. By the time we liquidated them, the paperwork alone, and transfer processes, made it barely worth it (and not really). He was not a financially smart man, but he tried; he tried as best he could with the limited financial knowledge he was able to glean from our "given choices". He also got blindsided by life numerous times, or maybe his choices could have been clearer. But he believed in his investments, because it was what was pushed on him by "smart" advisors/brokers with duplicitous smiles. (Picture the 2 mortgage broker guys in The Big Short) My disgust and contempt for these people -- even the lower levels dealing with the working class peasants -- deepens by the day. Now to the bigger fish...
These people that run the earth... this.... PARASITE CLASS... what a bunch of sick fucks. Out of touch, uncaring, entitled shits; when greed meets narcissism and psychopathy, and presents them with the gift of fiat-ponzi. Most are generational with their lackadaisical dismissal of the peasants: "To the manor born", as Agent Patrick Denham describes in thinly-veiled-disgust, in Wolf of Wall Street. Douchebags descended from douchebags, with no real desire to make the earth a better place, but only to satisfy their own distorted view of Maslow's Hierarchy, and what they may define as Self-Actualization or Transcendence. Hell, I'd be willing to bet most never make it that far, and are stuck somewhere in the "acceptance by others" part.

How would your life be if you:

• Woke up every morning with a sense of DREAD, instead of a sense of JOY. What does it do to a human?
• Didn't know how you would pay your upcoming bills, and had to juggle.
• Had your car's AC die in a place like Houston, Texas, and no money to fix it.
• Prayed every day that your car doesn't generally break down at any given moment.
• Knew that if it does break down, it could cost you your job.
• Saw the car repair bill would strain everything else, including that AC bill.
• Dared to introspect that in the lives of working-class people, even "minor" setbacks cause ripples.
• Actually considered that the CPI and inflation numbers are lies, and lived in constant anxiety.
• Needed to contemplate the uncertainty of being 1 emergency medical issue away from catastrophe.
• Were constantly told that "poor people should invest better", and then getting rug-pulled when you do.
• Watched for years, as your parents "give up on life", and accept mediocrity.
• Had aging parents you knew someday you'd have to take care of, but weren't sure you financially could.
• Were to forecast your own retirement, and knew the math didn't work.

There's more, but now I've got myself all riled-up again.
I'm done ranting for the moment. I'm angry as shit. I would have sold my 1-share $300 buy of 2021 for $1,000 (thanks TDAmeritrade for graying the buy-button and not letting me do it). Now I'm selling until I see people going to prison, bankers jumping from buildings (I wanna see cabbage/Chrisanova the savage), and a complete worldwide exposé of the naked-shorting racket, ALONG WITH the multi-generational, debt-based, fiat ponzi scheme that has been structured for everyone.
