Since I was a kid my mom blamed her health issues on me.
If her blood sugar crashed/went up she would spend hours screaming at me that I was the reason for it. She would not believe that it’s because of her eating habits or her changing the amount of units injected without consulting her doctor. To her, the reason she is a diabetic is because of either me or black magic.
If I tell her that she needs to change her diet somehow it’s my fault because I’m the one that’s supposed to change it for her, that I’m the one that has to get her to eat the food. When I do cook for her she will refuse to eat it and go back to unhealthy food.
When I was a teenager in order to get me to shut up or behave she would scream at me saying I’m causing her to have a stroke in her finger (according to her you can have a stroke there). Id stop what I’m doing and call 999. She’s snatch the phone away and tell me they don’t deal with stroke patients and that she will heal the “stroke” through god’s power. (She didn’t have a stroke).
If she stubbed her toe it would be my fault. If she got a papercut it would be my fault.
If I ask for help on something she would scream at me that she’s sick and that I’m killing her by asking for help. Everytime I need something she would say that. We’ll have a very good conversation for ten minutes (no talk about health issues) and the moment i ask for something she will start screaming that I am asking too much of her and that she will die. Last time I needed her to send me a paper (literally just take a picture and sms it) she spent three days screaming at me that I will be the cause of her death, that me asking for her to send it is causing her blood sugar to go up.
If I get sick and end up in hospital my mother would try to one-up me. She would say that my pain is nothing and that she’s the one that’s actually sick. One time I got sent to the ICU for an overdose and after I was discharged she told me that it was nothing, she has a greater pain than me.
She would blame everything on me, if she got a new wrinkle, somehow it’s my fault that she needs Botox. Not that she’s aging and not taking care of her skin.
It’s gotten to the point that now I don’t know if she’s feigning sick or not. When she says she’s sick I feel nothing. I feel annoyed. I don’t know why I’m like this now.

A month or so ago I busted my phone, and it was a huge pain in the ass. Aside from some lost data which was minor, the biggest PIA was resetting MFA, getting in touch with my US banks, and any other services that were tied to my phone. The experience also made me take a step back and realize I am pretty lax with security, and if someone had gotten hold of my phone and somehow god-forbid gotten the passcode, then I'd be fucked. They could do so much damage with unlimited access to my email + MFA SMS, even in just a few hours.
As a result, I kind of went down the ADHD rabbit hole hyper-fixating on how best to "optimize" my iPhone and iCloud configuration for two things:

1. If it breaks, the transition to a new device will be relatively painless. I won't have to spend several days stressing and trying to find the right international customer support number for a myriad of institutions and services to get into my accounts.
   
2. If it gets stolen and compromised, then there will be enough barriers such that the I'll have enough time to lock down the device and/or my accounts remotely before the thief can get key data or move funds.
   

So I put together this guide and checklist that I thought I'd share with others. I am a programmer but by no means a security guru, and so if any IT, DevOps, or SecOps folks want to chime-in with suggestions or improvements, please do.

Requirements

• an iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone SE (2nd generation), and iPhone 14 or newer for eSIM compatibility.
• a US-based carrier with eSIM support + a pay-as-you-go model for international travel (I use Verizon)
• iOS 17 or above (may not be strictly necessary, but I know my setup works with iOS 17.4.1)
• a password manager. I personally use 1Password because it works, is reliable, has cross-device support, and is easy and intuitive. It's also only $3/month.

Dual Sim Setup

I have been rocking an iPhone 12 for the past few years, and it's served me very well. I know the newer iPhones (14 and up) no longer offer physical SIM card support, but carriers in most developing countries are behind the curve. Even if they offer eSIM support, it's been my experience that it's a major headache to get setup, there is a lack of customer support in English, and they may even require a local ID to register the eSIM. It's way easier to just head to a shop and pay $5 for a SIM card, load some funds onto it, and then you're good to go.
The eSIM has been very helpful for maintaining a US phone number for which I can receive SMS texts from my banks and other financial services as well as continue to use iMessage with all my US contacts since hardly anybody is on Whatsapp.
Most, if not all, carriers in the US support eSIMs now, and so you should try to find a carrier that offers an international pay-as-you-go plan. Verizon offers two international plans - one is a "Travel Pass" where it's a flat fee of $10/day anywhere outside the US or Canada (even for just one text message). The other is "pay for what you use" which has a rate per text, minute, and mb. For my US plan, I only care about receiving SMS texts from my banks and the occasional phone call to a service that doesn't have an international, toll-free number. Data will always be cheaper outside the US, so I disable cellular data switching for my US line.
The last time I was in the US was for the holidays and I bought 2 used iPhone 12's for about $200 each. They have some scuffs, but they're perfectly serviceable. In LATAM, it also doesn't attract nearly as much unwanted attention in the street as an iPhone 14 or 15.
I brought these with me as extra devices. When my phone busted last month, thankfully I had a backup in iCloud and everything was loaded in a few minutes as normal. This was before I was using the eSIM, but if I had the eSIM I could just go to Verizon support online via chat and they could help me switch the line to the new device easily.

Basic Configurations

• Always use the latest version of firmware
• Require a passcode that's unique to that device.
• Use FaceID instead of passcode when possible (a thief can't snipe your passcode from a distance if you unlock your phone with FaceID)
• Set auto-lock to 30 seconds (lowest possible)
• Erase data upon excessive passcode failures note, this is complemented in a later step with daily backups. The odds of you putting in the wrong passcode 10 times is low, but in the event you do and you wipe the device by accident, you should be able to easily load in a back-up from the previous day)
• Turn off "Ask to Join Networks"
• Forget unused networks so that you don't rejoin automatically (airports, hotels, etc.)

Creating Backups

• Set iCloud backups to run automatically every night. This will allow you to load your entire phone as is (contacts, call history, iMessages, apps, even your wallpaper) onto another device during setup. The iCloud backup usually runs at 2am while I'm sleeping.
• You may need to pay for a higher tier in iCloud if you have too much stored on your phone. It's $3/month for 200gb of iCloud storage, and I find it worth it. Though I know some people with tens of thousands of photos for which 200gb might not be enough.

Password Policy

• For any accounts that may contain sensitive data (payments, PII, etc), always generate a unique password with 1Password. Don't reuse passwords. Same goes for PIN codes.
• For core accounts, create a strong but memorable password and then memorize it. The odds of getting locked out of 1Password are low if you're diligent, but for 2 or 3 core accounts (where you access money, your primary recovery email, your iCloud, 1Password), it's worth it to create strong, unique passwords for each core service and memorize them.
• I try not to reuse passwords in general, but I still sometimes am lazy and use one of my handful of typical passwords if there's no sensitive data collected by the service and it's a service I don't use often.

MFA

Set up MFA with everything. Add multiple options if possible. My preferred MFA options are as follows:

1. One-time code that renews every 30 seconds. This is device agnostic and can be stored in 1Password. You could also use Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Authy or similar, but there's just more overhead to now recover those accounts if your device becomes inaccessible.
2. One-time code to recovery email.
3. One-time code via SMS to my US phone number. On the pay-as-you-go Verizon plan, I only pay 5 cents per text message received. It's worth it to keep one consistent number.
4. List of recovery codes (stored in 1Password as an attached txt file for the given account)
5. Use another app for verification (Google does this a lot).

Lockdown your iCloud security

• Enable MFA.
• Create a strong, unique password.
• Remove any old or unused devices from the iCloud account (old phones, ipods, etc).
• Enable "Find My" for all of your devices.
• In Find My, configure all devices to send the last known location.
• In Find My, enable the configuration to remotely wipe a device.

In the event your phone is stolen, the idea is you could run back to any of your devices or even use a friend's device to log into iCloud on the web, go to Find My, and then in a single button click you can lock and wipe the stolen device. If the thief turned off the device or disabled wifi/cellular, then as soon as it comes back online it will be wiped.

Final Clean-Up

• Move any compromising photos to the "hidden" folder (which requires FaceID or passcode to unlock)
• Review the Files app for any documents containing sensitive info. If you need these documents to be accessible on mobile, then move them to 1Password and delete them from the Files app.
• Create a shortcut to trigger the lock screen (and thus require FaceID or passcode) when specific apps are opened (banking, email, photos, etc).
• Not sure if this is best practice, but I just keep everything in 1P and turn off apple keychain and the apple built-in password manager. I also don't save passwords in Chrome or Safari.

Extra tips

These aren't really iPhone tips but general tips. They are probably obvious to you if you aren't as scatterbrained as me, but I figured that I'd drop them here in case they help someone.

• Add thorough security measures to iCloud, primary email, and any banking or financial services. Review each account and make sure you have a strong, unique password as well as a unique PIN, MFA configured, login alerts, recovery codes, and an international, 24-hour toll-free phone number stored somewhere to contact the service in the event of a crisis. For banking services, add withdrawal limits, regional restrictions (if you bounce between the same few countries), and SMS notifications for charges over a certain threshold. Open up a second checking account with a separate debit card for trips to the ATM.
• Consolidate and close any unused bank accounts. I realized that on my phone I had Revolut, Venmo, Paypal, Nequi, plus 4 US banking institutions. I took this time to close my Discover account (which is pretty much useless outside the US anyway), close my Revolut account since I'm hardly ever in the UK/EU, and consolidate investment accounts from different institutions into just a handful that's easier to monitor.

Aparrently my account was been "hacked" or rather been used by someone else. I last played wot in Januari 2024 with holidays. After that i havent touched wot or updated my wot for 5 months until yesterday. Yesterday i wanted to check out some new stuff. And the moment i logged in the garage i was greeted by 3 or 4 tier X i never ever seen before nor play before. EBR, E4, obj 261, obj 268, tvp vtu, manticore? I lost alot of free xp and some gold (not that much bcs i think it had only like 1000 ish at that time). All of my friends were deleted, i left my clan and some battles were added on my account like 450 for the last 60 days. I checked on third party website but only showed for last 60 days (wot.gg). Didnt lost any real money bcs my credit card wasnt linked to WG (thank god). I think they used my account for clan wars maybe?
When i went to check my logged session on the wg site i noticed that my account was logged in couple of 20 times in region of Ukrain and Russia while i only play in Belgium.
I have recieved a clan invitation from a russian/ukrainian clan tho... Dont want a point a finger to them but it is suspicious....
I tried to change my password but i never recieved the sms with the code from WG. Tried 2 times already. Tried to put second authentication but also didnt recieve any sms code.
Can WG reversed all the progession to janaury 2024? I have contacted support already but takes agea for an answer. Someone else has experience this before? Can i see what purchased there has been with my account. How do i get my lost tanks back? Any other advise what to do?

My FPS literally is constantly hovering around 25-28 FPS no matter literally anything I try to do to fix it. I have disabled my ENB, I have disabled my lighting mods, I've tried every .ini fix under the sun, I've installed every engine optimization mod I can find people suggesting. Literally NOTHING I do changes my FPS. I have absolutely no clue WTF to try at this point. I'm completely lost. There has to be something wrong with my game.

6 Days since I was sextorted. I don’t know if they’ve given up or are continuing to pursue me but I’ve deactivated all Meta related apps and blocked them anywhere else. What I need to understand is how they work in hopes to protect myself in the future and how to avoid them from finding me. Below is my situation:

1. Matched Hinge, decent back and forth, I asked for socials - didn’t give insta but went to snap
   
2. Snapchat; talked back and forth a little here and there - 4 days later my idiot self made the dumb mistake of sending pics after “she” sent many before
   
3. I was then asked to meet up for a date and “call me let’s setup a date”. At this point I was not suspicious as it seemed genuine to follow-up. They asked for WhatsApp. I don’t have WhatsApp and don’t like it linked to my #. However, I made a google voice # just to be safe and registered with that (all on my phone fyi). I sent a message, tried calling, got disconnected and WhatsApp banned my account instantly.
   
4. This was suspicious and I told “her” that it didn’t go through and that I got banned, so then I got a SMS on my google voice #. And then instantly they sent me all the videos/photos that I had sent recorded on their end and began the sextortion. At this point I was freaking out, I immediately blocked them on Snap and Hinge. Uninstalled WhatsApp. And then I continued getting messages on my Google Voice SMS. I didn’t block them here, I didn’t respond at ALL on any platforms. I just kept it in case I needed proof and SMS is generally not interactive in any way.
   
5. After this, they made an instagram acct with one of my photos and posted some (thank god not all) photos and tagged some ppl from my friends list on instagram. I reported and blocked this acct. They made a second one, I reported and blocked. They made one on Facebook and started commenting on my recent posts as well as messaging ppl on my friends list trying to either befriend or share photos. I blocked the acct but I forgot to report it in the panic (idk if it’s up or not but I unblocked to see if I can get to their profile to report but I couldn’t so maybe gone?)
   
6. I also received a FB messenger notification saying the usual “you want me to stop? Just tell me” etc. I had my Instagram PRIVATE before this. I was dumb enough to have FB public. Since then I updated everything to private, and then deactivated. I’ve occasionally reactivated to check for any notifications/messages. Last time I checked was 3 days ago. No new msgs since the first 2 accounts on instagram and 1 on facebook.
   

Question 1: Massive embarrassment aside, would I be safe to think that they’ll stop pursuing me? I’ve also updated my instagram username. But they did send me screenshots of my friends list. So will they try to find them and still attempt sextortion?
Question 2: HOW the hell did they find my instagram and facebook? Aside from my first name (which is VERY common), the usernames on Snap and Meta apps aren’t even the same?? I never gave my real number, and I didn’t give my address? This is what’s confusing the hell out of me because there is NO way in hell they just “searched” me up because friends I WANT to add me have trouble finding me.
Question 3: Will changing my Instagram username and making FB private be sufficient to not have a repeat incident? Or is it better to remove accounts and restart from scratch?
My heart literally drops when I get unknown callers and crap now, ugh I hate this and I know it’s partially my fault for even sending them but just want to move past it and make the most out of this failure in maintaining privacy moving forward. My main goal is to make sure they can’t come back and restart.

It say it was under App Store purchases but I checked everywhere on her phone and she never bought anything from AppStore. Even in her Settings. I googled and it was some SMS scam thing(?) but I also checked her SMS and there was nothing about NextGen. I need help urgently before the next month because it’s so god damn expensive.

It's been 10 months since D-Day.
Here are some things I'm relieved to report:
Triggers: They don't happen as often or as intensely anymore. Maybe once every 2 weeks, if at all. My last trigger was last Saturday after an FB memory popped up on my timeline, it was a precious one of our firstborn at a carnival for the first time, and I recognize it as a day before he met with AP1 in 2019. We talked through it together, he held me close for 5 minutes, then went downstairs and made breakfast. 9 months ago, I'd have been crying the whole day and he'd have been in his head trying to comfort me but not knowing how.
Mind Movies/Nightmares: Gone. I sleep so well at night now (outside of a potty training toddler LOL). I know he fucked someone else. I know the specifics. Nothing is left to the imagination and IDGAF if there is.
Speaking of APs: Do I still feel the need to look at their SMs and obsess over what he saw in them that he didn't see in me? Not as much. I'd be lying if I said no completely because it bothered me that he was in NRE with AP2 (ONS from Adult Friend Finder) so I glance at her profile from time to time to see why, and also it's kind of entertaining seeing what a trainwreck AP1 is based on her Reddit. She's now chasing another guy who wants to date other women instead of commit to her (I mean she looks like Shamu, so I don't blame him LOL). I don't feel as bad when I see them anymore, and if anything, I feel a tad bit vindicated that they're lives are still in shambles because they can't date a guy traditionally, they had to resort to a married man.
WH: He lost his job in December, found a new one in February but a beloved relative passed away 3 weeks ago so he's taking the time for himself (not apart) to grieve. He willingly upped his IC from every other week back to every week to navigate this stressful period. With IC, he's feeling his feelings more clearly, it feels like he is seeing me in a different light. He goes out of his way to make me feel secure: Gives me his phone voluntarily, tells me when he's going out to lunch with colleagues, in between meetings would text me, "I'll be in and out of calls all day, but just know I love you and I'm thinking of you." When we get home, all he wants to do is watch TV with his arms around me and drink beer with me. Even now he's been a bit distant because of his grief, he makes sure I know it's because of missing his relative, not because he wants to cheat. It's also the first time he's been allowed to grieve someone because in the past he's always been the caretaker, so this emotion is entirely new to him and it's been hard to manage. Thankfully, he doesn't shut me out and allows me to be with him throughout this process.
My feelings for WH: In love. 85% Happy. No more hypervigilance or doubt if he truly ever loved me. I think there was a point when he equated being "in love" as the feeling of butterflies and excitement which he no longer had with me, but now he knows it can also be quiet, stable and at peace. He no longer seeks thrills and validation elsewhere, except with me. I do know even during the As, he loved me because he never planned on leaving me for the APs (AP1 was not his type and is eternally negative. Everything bad that happened to her is because of someone else's fault. AP2 is a wannabe travel influencer who lives the life of a homeless camper). Outside of kids and finances, I was the person he enjoyed being with. He was still planning date nights, vacations and trips for me. The compartmentalization is strong, he never allowed his affair persona bleed into our marriage or stop loving me. He was still planning on growing old with me. He asked me about doing a joint investing account so we can build our retirement fund together so it wasn't like he had an exit plan. His need for validation and sex elsewhere overtook his rationality. He'll forever regret having hurt me for pursuing that.
Trust: I want to say it's 60% there. I don't look at his phone or location anymore. I know where he is because he tells me. There's no weird app on his phone. I can do a deep dive into our phone records and know he's not texting anyone I don't know about. When he gets a text, sometimes he'll even angle it so it's within my sight but even then I already knew it's probably one of his buds, or work. The need to be vigilant at all times is gone. Why only 60% then? I can't fully guarantee he won't cheat again 2-20 years from now. He has to do the work to not succumb to those feelings and needs again, but I'm at peace knowing my worth is beyond the marriage, and that me and the kids will be OK if we break up because he did it again. That thought is empowering and allows me to be prepared for the possibility instead of be blindsided and heartbroken. I hope he proves me right though.
I enjoy being a wife again. I enjoy booking dates, buying him work clothes, steaming them, making sure he has lunch for the day... We've added sexting into the mix so that's been fun. It feels more like us again.
Sharing this progress for those who think they can't ever get past the abyss after D-day. This may not pertain to everyone, maybe not to those whose waywards are still in the fog or are not fully remorseful, but what I learned is that R is truly achievable if both parties work hard towards it. IC and MC are a must. Practicing the therapeutic intervention to handle the triggers and spirals is a must. COMMUNICATION IS A MUST. You can't achieve R if you're tip-toeing around each other's feelings or are still keeping secrets from one another... Be radically honest with each other.
Healing is separate. It comes from within and is a self-journey, not reliant on the spouse. IC has been a God-send because just talking to someone and learning meditation tools, acknowledging my own value to my family, my friends, my job, my community has helped me not be dependent on WH's love as a measurement of my worth. I've been more and more at peace with myself.

Generalno organizacija je jako loša, doktori rade preko one stvari(ne svi, ali velika vecina), upit npr za klinikci mozete dobiti za 6 meseci kod neurologa, imunologa itd... Za sve vam treba veze, morate naci nekog, ko zna nekog, da bi vas uopste i pogledali kad docekate da prodje tih 6 meseci, ako docekate. Kada dodjete na pregleda kažu da vam nije ništa, ili da ste prekasno došli, a izmedju nema ocigledno. Mene su npr slali od jednog do drugog specijaliste i to je baš izgledalo katastrofa. Došlo je do toga da me imunolog pošalje kod reumatologa(bave se slicnim stvarima), da bi me reumatolog opet vratio kod imunologa. Sve u svemu nekako mi deluju nezainteresovano. Šta god ima se kaže to nema veze i nije im jasno za vecinu ljudi što dolaze. Na izveštaju piše sve suprotno od onoga što su pricali(peru se za slucaj da pogreše🤦‍♀️). Zakazani pregledi se cekaju minamalno od 2-3 sata, jer njih 20 udje preko veze🙄. O kropciji da ne pricam. Rade u privatnim klinikama i onda kad dodjete u državnu salju vas u privatnu kod njih. Dosta bolnica nema uslove na odeljenjima i odeljenja izgledaju kako iz horor filma. Da ne tupim i ne dužim više to bi bilo to.

I (M22) met this girl (F22) on New Year's Eve on Bumble. I was in the middle of doing work on my final year project for college and I noticed that I got a text from this girl on the app. I didn't cop onto remembering when I liked her first or anything but my god ...she was beautiful, and we started talking and we had instant chemistry. We ended up talking all night, which turned into talking all week long ,and then she left, and at the time I was a bit apprehensive about anything because I was so busy with college but this girl just stayed in my mind the whole time she was gone ,I texted her just to see if she was OK, and I realised that I did like her. Not long after that, she came back and texted me ,gave me her snap and number which was great! We texted on SMS for a little bit before switching over to Snap which escalated things and made us bond more cuz she could send me voice notes and pictures and I could do the same.
That all happened with a month, so the next month that's where things got more serious with texting on Snap. She instantly asked me to go see a movie with her ,and I was down but a bit scared too cuz again I was kinda cautious to get into something with someone rn ,but at the same time I liked her so we tried to make something happen but at the time ,the movie was only showing in a cinema incredibly far away from us both ,and we both couldn't really make the commute so I said to wait a little bit until it came to the one in my hometown. So anyways ,we keep talking, every hour ,every day we learn more about each other ,the closer we become ,the more our feelings grow for each other. Our biggest thing that we did (and my favourite thing) was we'd stay up all night with each other and listen to music through Spotify's Jam feature, I can't explain to you how fun and good it felt to have those experiences with someone. We'd share music back and forward, until we both fell asleep to specific songs. We even began to associate specific songs to each other, I'd show her songs that reminded me of her ,and she'd do the same for me. That was the best of times..
I will admit I was still kind of apprehensive about taking this girl on a date so soon cuz of the demand college had on me ,plus trying to get back to the organisation I did an internship with, but I tried to be upfront about it ,and told her that if I could drop this all to be with her ,even for a coffee I would ,but I literally spent all day in the library cuz it was that intense, I go to college in the city and the public transport in her area is horrible so the possibility of her even coming up to the city just was a no-go. But one night, all of that fear went away.
It was very late at night, and we had gotten into our conversation about our traumas. I should note before continuing this part cuz it's vital to my post. She would regularly tell me about things and people from her past who have hurt her, or how her hometown has gone to shit, and I'd listen and I'd sympathise with her ,in my mind ,she was someone who knew her value and didn't have time for people who just were influenced by the environment around them, through drugs and toxic relationships and all that. Bear in mind, she is a huge weed smoker but tbh I didn't really care as long as she didn't try to push it on me which she didn't and we had a convo about that ,and I saw it as a way to just help her relax at night, and it's not up to me to tell someone how to decompress. But back to the night ,we had a conversation about our traumas ,it just kinda happened ,we both shared very intimate things about ourselves, she told me how people who should have taken care of her in the past used her and hurt her deeply ,which made me very upset and I cried reading through it ,cuz I still just don't understand how those things happen irl,and I told her about things from my past , the presence of suicide in my family and how I was bullied for most of my younger life ,and she sent me back a pic of her crying ,and it was almost through this ,that I had the moment I needed : I was ready, it was almost like we had established a bond ,through a shared endurance of incredible pain that neither of us deserved. This was leading into Valentines Day.
However, the next day wouldn't be as fruitful as you think. She had somewhat of a trauma response on the day because she was telling me how one of her friends had been hurt in a very horrible way before on that day by someone in their family and how it was the anniversary of him being murdered, which is a bit heavy to take in and I was kind of taken aback. So we moved on in the conversation. A few hours later after she's done her shift ,she begins to joke with me about how much she hates her boss ,that's fair he seemed like a prick. But she was actually looking up his address and joking about how she wanted to do bad things to him at his house. And I kinda told her about that not being a great idea ,but she said every girl does it. Every girl has their thing and hers is knowing the addresses of people who and could possibly hurt her (this is also someone who said that the group of guys she was friends with beat up someone she used to date before cuz he was a creep). I told her like that I was uncomfortable with the idea of her doing that with me and she had confidence in me that I wouldn't hurt her. This led to a larger discussion.
Wouldn't call it an argument, but I confronted her about it ,and told her that it was just a bit worrisome for her to do that. And she was taken aback by me saying it cuz no one ever had said that to her before ,they all just accepted it. However, I didn't wanna let my fears do the talking ,I still liked her but I wanted to tell her that this was wrong so we both explained our POVs and she justifiably said that she knows it wrong but the pain that she has gone through pushed her to that point ,which I understand, and my response to that was in relation to comments she made about me to me about how she felt about us and how I made her feel. Up until then ,she had told me that I was the blueprint of what mens behaviour should be ,and that I was respectful and kind ,and that the i treated her was all she's ever wanted ,she'd send me pics of her ,where id honestly nearly faint cuz of her beauty she was just something else. So I used that feeling of hers to explain to her that if I am so different from what she's had before ,then she can't use things from before ,I asked her to build something new with me. And she wanted to do that ,and she apologised for scaring me and told me that she didn't wanna go anywhere, she wanted this.
After this ,things were pretty OK, things intensified with me at college and she became a little busy but we still talked all day pretty much. And I finally made the plan to myself that I was gonna take her to that movie she wanted to go ,and get dinner after because I knew I was ready and I knew I wanted this, I wanted her. So I planned it and I was ask her on the Monday/Tuesday to go out. We hadn't talked much cuz she was at a friend's house having drinks ,she still sent me pics of her there getting drunk but she was quite hungover the next day so we'd talk in intervals, but It was also the first time I told her that I missed her ,which made her happy.
So Monday rolled around ,this was end of February ,and she had taken the day off work cus she wanted to chill at home and was still bad from the weekend so she chilled and I texted her and I was fairly busy but I was still good to go ahead with my plan. Fast forward to that night, and I'm finalising all the little details for the date that I'll ask her out to ,and I get a text from her. I open up and it's a screenshot. In the screenshot ,it's an article that is about someone from her past who did some horrible things and had been convicted (not saying for privacy reasons) but I know in that moment, that I can't ask her on a date if she's just after learning about something like that ,her demeanor immediately changes. I ask her if she wants some space for the night and she accepts which is totally cool ,and I understand cuz even I was fucked after reading it. The next morning, I wake up to a voice note from her ,where she just suddenly breaks down and almost retreats into a child-like state calling out for her mom and dad who are away for the night. I am home the next day ,and I consider going over to her but she has cameras in her house and I didn't think it was appropriate so I didn't offer but my priority was to try and calm her down cuz she was in a state, after a little bit of time ,I spoke to her some more and she settled down on the couch ,kept the fire lit and had some water and just watched TV ,while she texted me. She was somewhat calm now ,and I just tried to be there for moral support. Then she said she got her period (which is exasperated by a chronic illness she has). She just couldn't catch a break.
I texted her after she told me ,but an hour went by , a few hours went by ,I texted again to check in on her (she had a tendency to nap alot on her days off) , a day goes by ,two go by , a few go by nothing. By Sunday, I'm just missing her so badly. I send her another text a few days later bascially telling her that I wanna be here for she'll let me, that if she needed me ,I was here.
She opened the text I sent not long after that ,and a few days worth of texts were there and she instantly began typing ,and said something along the lines of "I won't lie ,I don't have the time or energy to read all of that ,sorry but idk there's still alot of things happening". I just said one more time that the only thing she needed to take from it was that I wanted to be there for her. And she left me on read. That crushed me. The news of the article affected her so much that it closed me out of her life. So I committed to giving her space ,until I remembered that she had exams coming up ,and now into March ,I texted her good luck for her exams one night. And the next morning I was in college and still hadn't seen her open it,and then looked again ,and saw she left that on read again. And I was kinds concerned....until I looked at her icon ,and saw that all the texts saved had gone...she removed me. Went to Tiktok she blocked me ,number blocked ,everything.
So it didn't hit me right then and there ,but all I did was remove from things on my end but I was gonna leave things untouched on like Bumble and stuff if she decided to reach out...she deleted that too. I was a wreck for about a week and was just fried from it ,I sent her a text that night telling her how I didn't want this ,and that idk why it happened. But I knew she probably wouldn't see it if she blocked me. So all I had left was the fact that I still had her on Spotify ,and no one checks their followers count on Spotify so I was just kinda like OK...we're connected through the music. ...until yesterday a month on ,where she removed me..and I thought OK that's probably the last straw until this morning. I hadn't been on Tinder in a while and I knew that she didn't have an account before we talked cuz I've never seen on it. So I go on it to just distract my brain a bit while I have some coffee ....and she's literally the first account I see.. and I can't express how gut-wrenching it is. Its just like someone who experienced as much pain as her in that time frame, a month and a bit later ,is back on a dating app ,after just leaving me in the dust after I tried to show her how much I care about her and how much I wanted to be there. Just nothing, I got nothing in the end. Idk why it happened ,thats not even important anymore but it's just like why end it without saying anything, especially after our convo about our traumas.
I guess I'm writing this to get some clearance of mind ,I know its over ,but she just made me feel so wanted and it was so real ,and out of everything that went on in my life ,she made everything and every day so much better. I don't think I deserve alot of things in life ,but I didn't deserve that. I don't know if her going on Tinder is a way to distract herself from healing or feeling since I've seen people say before that people do after breakups/leaving people to like distract themselves cuz there's no way she's processed everything. I don't wanna be told that she doesn't deserve me ,or her to be insulted cuz I don't hate her ,I just hate the things that made her into the person she is ,the trauma ,all the pain that's internalised in her ,that she isn't even consciously aware of.
This isn't a post asking how to get her back ,it's just a post of trying to get peoples perspectives on it. It was the first time ever where I largely felt like I did nothing to make someone stop liking me or like it was my fault ,like obviously I wasn't perfect and neither is she ,but she had what I wanted ,and she made me feel understood. I know I have to move on ,but just I'm kinda just desperate to get POVs and opinions on this.
