This is my first post on the sub and I'm fairly new to Gaylorism (was deep into Gaylor tiktok last year before taking a break and just found this sub within the last month or two!) so full disclosure, I don't in any sense have a comprehensive knowledge of Gaylor lore, nor do I know everything about TayloJoe Alwyn. Nonetheless, I think I found something interesting! (I'm really sorry if this post is too long and I point things out that are obvious; I'm autistic and this is how I communicate when I'm excited and care a lot!!)
Inspired by this post on the LWYMMD music video, I decided to rewatch a few other MVs and found something in Blank Space: three black dogs. Dobermans, actually! They appear during 0:48-0:58 and are being walked on leashes by Taylor and her "love interest." There is even a shot JUST of the dogs. I think it's common knowledge that Blank Space is a song about PR relationships and bearding contracts, so seeing these dogs seemed significant. They of course brought to mind the Doberman in the Fortnight MV and "The Black Dog", and I thought, what if all these black dogs are a bearding symbol?

Before diving into the explanation for that, some context on Dobermans provided by Wikipedia. The breed was created by a tax collector who wanted protection from thieves as he traveled and collected taxes. In other words, Dobermans were created to safeguard the collection of money. They are ranked the 5th most intelligent dog in the category of "obedience command training," are "tenaciously loyal," and are "kept as a guard dog and as a companion animal." More on why those traits tie into this theory later.
The appearance of the Dobermans in Blank Space isn't too noteworthy by itself. They can easily be written off as a status symbol, like the mansion and horses and "new money, suit and tie." But in connection with TTPD, they take on a new meaning.
In the Fortnight MV, we see a Doberman trot across screen while Taylor is strapped down, being experimented on (2:42). I always thought that was odd but shrugged it off as a casual nod to "The Black Dog" and didn't look for any deeper meaning for why it would be included in that particular scene -- until now.

During this scene, we see scientists examining Taylor's head and reading lyrics ("I love you, it's ruining my life") in her brainwaves. This scene screams exploitation even before the electroshock therapy begins. They begin shocking her, sparks are flying, scientists are ducking. At 3:06, we see all this but also the Doberman, standing in one of the doorways. While it takes a few steps forward, the dog is otherwise unaffected by this violence in that it isn't barking, rushing to Taylor's aid, or attacking the scientists who are causing this violence. Yet, its position at the doorway to the lab seems to imply it is a guard dog. It's just not Taylor's guard dog. It's not there to protect her. It's there to protect the experimentation and exploitation process, to ensure this process can continue taking place. It's Post Malone's character who ultimately saves her from it. Coming back to tie this up later.

Now, "The Black Dog." It may be my favorite song on TTPD and The Anthology. In preparing for this post, I searched the sub to see if my ideas were already shared somewhere, and I found this comment by u/Small-Expert-4020: "To me this is the only song that makes me think of joe- and it sounds way more like a friend breakup then being sad over an ex. The way she says 'i was someone you shared secrets and your location with' sounds so much like a confirmation that shes sad the bearding relationship ended on less than good terms" (Wanted to copy/paste rather than link to help explain my theory)
I totally agree with this interpretation that the song is about Joe and the loss of their relationship, not just the PR relationship but whatever personal relationship they may have had, because I don't think you share a PR relationship with someone for that long and not find a single facet of it that's genuine. I don't know if they were in love, but I do believe they were friends, confidants, and I believe Taylor loved him like a brother. I think the lyric "For a cruel fraternity I pledged / And I still mean it" says this directly. She pledged to a fraternity with him by loving him like a brother, and that was the part of them that was real. That's why it's painful and bewildering to lose, because she still loves him like that despite him being gone.
This isn't the only time she's referenced a familial love toward Joe. In CIWYW, she writes, "I'm laughin' with my lover, makin' forts under covers / Trust him like a brother, yeah, you know I did one thing right." Laughing with her lover -- maybe they're laughing because he isn't really her lover. Making forts under covers -- seems innocent and not sexual to me; making pillow forts with roof blankets is something friends and siblings do. She trusts him like a brother, and that shows her that she's picked one beard right. This one may be more meaningful than the others.
Back to "The Black Dog," I've read the posts about how it could refer to a Black Dog Tavern or a Black Cat Tavern, and it may, but I think the black dog is also Joe himself. Again, the song doesn't feel like losing a lover; it feels like losing a dear friend and confidant. And of course there is the line "'Cause tail between your legs, you're leaving." The subject of the song, Joe, is the dog, leaving with his tail between his legs.
Remember the info about Dobermans that they're both guard dogs and loyal companions. Joe could've been, and likely was, a PR relationship that offered Taylor safety as a closeted queer person, which her team enforced so as to assure her financial success, and a person she truly came to trust, love, and share her plans with.
Blank Space puts an irreverent spin on bearding, like it's a necessary evil she can at least have some fun with. I think with Joe, it became something meaningful, and I think he was part of her plans to come out in 2019. When her plans were ruined, she was heartbroken, but at least she still had him as a friend and confidant and someone who knew what she was feeling. But maybe he got tired of the bearding after so long, maybe he wanted to live more authentically and she wasn't yet ready to. If you read the lyrics, she's saying: It's hitting me that you're really gone. I don't understand why you left. We were dreaming together. We made those best laid plans. You said you'd be brave and play my man and now that I really need you, you're gone and it kills me. Do you hate me for not coming out? Old habits (closeting) die screaming.
I think the loss of Joe has made her feel more bitter than ever about bearding, which could add to why she's being so in-our-faces about the PR relationship with Travis. At least with Blank Space, there seemed to be an aspect of fun about it. But the performance she's giving now just seems painful and sad. Like she's determined to play it up as much as possible because it can't mean anything real to her again. I noted this past weekend (though haven't found a pic of it) one of the visuals during ICDIWABH is a marquee saying The Black Dog (Club?). This reference during that song also supports the idea that losing Joe did break her heart in a way, and now she's bearding with a broken heart by making it so visible and so ridiculous.
In conclusion, Taylor has seemed to learn a lesson that the beard/the black dog won't save her in the end. The black dog just perpetuates the pain of closeting. It's Post Malone's character in the Fortnight MV (whom I agree represents queer, closeted Taylor) that saves her from the exploitation of the scientists/her team. And I really, really hope she's going to save herself by coming out.

I have acquired a bunch of Vriendenloterij lottery tickets for free (maybe like 40 of them). Reading through reddit i understand they make you subscribe to their service and are quite persistent when you try to cancel. However these things say they “guarantee you win 20€” while the draw costs 15, and i have 40 of them, meaning i could make quite a nice ~200€ profit if this is actually the case. My thought is, sign up, run all these numbers, ?get the “guaranteed 20”?, immediately cancel. Does this make sense?
I don’t want to fuck myself over so I would love anyone’s advice on this specific situation, especially if you have experience with Vriendenloterij or if you are Dutch and can accurately “read the fine print”of this semi-obvious scam.

Soo I just finished my first year of uni yesterday, however my school never held a graduation for us…our school usually holds graduations during the month of October after most people start unis but this year they didn’t because of unrest in the area…unrelated but just for context. Now they’re holding a symbolic ceremony on Saturday..and I’m unsure how I should show up? I want to get the pretty pics without making it look like this means a lot to me and the school did something meaningful..you get me? I don’t want to show up like it’s a proper graduation but I’m unsure on how to dress..

Graphics/art style: 3D and neither realistic nor cartoony for the most part.
Notable characters: A pilot or pilots that resemble(s) a hamster and probably is/are (an) anthropomorphic ones. An anthropomorphic bear that is a commander for said pilot. Five bosses. The first one is a large geometrically shaped ship, and the second one is a giant spider-like monster. I can’t remember the designs of the third and fourth ones. The fifth one is multiple blue and purple fleshy alien ships.
Notable gameplay mechanics: You manually fire your main laser gun with your finger on the screen, move ships with finger swipes/dragging finger, shop to upgrade ship stats, enemies to fight in each level, bosses at the end of each level, and increasing enemy variety and types of objects when replaying levels.
Other details: The first level only had asteroids, and no actual enemies even on replays, with more explosive asteroids added on replays, with a boss at the end that kind of resembled an octagon or a boss from Astro Avenger 2. The rest of the levels had aliens and ships to fight. The second one featured a cyclops-spider-like boss at the end with destroyable parts, and I think the boss was an orange-to-brown color. I don't remember what the other two levels or their respective bosses looked like. The fifth level also had colored aliens as enemies. The final boss battle had identical flying bosses with the color scheme of the Resident Evil 6 “6” logo/symbol, being blue, bluish-purple, and purple.

I bought this pendant at a thrift store and initially thought it might be silver due to the weight and it not being magnetic but the only stamp I found was that symbol in the last Pic. Also, I know a lot of egyptian pendants spell out a name in hyroglyphs but I just can figure it out so if someone can tell me if it actually spells a name. It would be appreciated. So recently i have been looking into Takasugi's clothing/appearance and wanted to share what i found and what i think of it.
First I want to start with his kimono in the vol.12 cover.

I am fairly certain that the kimono he wears is based off of this one, the most noticeable feature is the palm tree leaves (the og also has chrysanthemum) . About his haori, The arabesque swirl is called "Karakusa" and it is of a plant/vine growing in a continuous pattern, the swirls are gold and the background is black.

I quite like this pattern for its meaning of growth and legacy because of Takasugi being a disciple of Shoyo and his development in the story.
Its rarely shown in the anime but you can see him wear it a lot in official art and manga (all the way till SS arc). I wished that they animated the pattern in the fight in SA arc, but they usually just animate his haori plain black.

Now i want to talk about the kimono that Takasugi most often wears, as shown above and he wears this floral pattern kimono.

I found that this was a screen tone so I bought it for drawing reasons on clipstudiopaint but i want to go over what's shown in the pattern from bottom to top since i have it in higher quality. Ik these things are small details but i found it fun researching about these Japanese patterns.
The first section shows Sakura and Sakura petals in what i believe is either a sea of waves or wind.

The second section took me a while to find but here are the flowers/leaves/fruit that are shown: more Sakura's, Botan (peony), maple leaves, Tachibana fruit, (on the top left corner next to the peony there's something that I'm unable to identify but if you can please leave a comment below). All of these being in the clouds.

I noticed that in the manga Sorachi only utilized the floral pattern for that kimono and not the butterflies, but I like that they did use the butterflies and mist in the anime and official art by Sorachi.

Although I like the floral design better, i also like the butterflies because it’s quite fitting for him because of its meaning

Sorachi colors this kimono three different ways red/crimson, blue, and purple. Red being the most common. (blue above)

When he wears this floral/butterfly kimono I'm pretty sure that It’s supposed to be the red color.
In a lot of the official art it’s often colored red, as a matter of fact he’s colored this crimson color in most art of him regardless of the kimono.
(excuse me if I use red and crimson interchangeably, they’re pretty close colors)

I think this color fits best because of its relation with love, anger, passion, revenge, and blood.
You don’t see this in the anime (until the final) but Takasugi has a much paler complexion compared to Gin.

Which I think is nice because it shows the contrast between them and also complements the red color.
I see that Sorachi colors his eyes either red or what I assume would be a very light green but it’s hard to tell (grey ??) ~~maybe the red eyes are when his sharingan is activated.~~

More on his kimono, I was looking into what kind/type of kimono he wears and I personally think that he wears a furisode specifically a Chu-furisode with it being medium length sleeves. Some Japanese fans think so too.

The outfit he wears in the joui era is called a jinbaori, i see many people confuse it with western attire but it is a traditional wear for samurai dating back to the 1500s.

The jinbaori he wears in the liberation army arc differs from the one in the joui era with it having sleeves , so yes he did grow out of it (or maybe he didn’t cuz if you scroll up a few pics you can see that in the limited vol cover it’s the same, so he just has different pairs(･_･;) .

The flowers on his haori are called Kikyo, which is very fitting because the flower is a symbol of honesty, and it shows with his speech with Matako and i suppose the flashbacks as a whole

A twitter artist had pointed out that Takasugi has 5 haori and 6 kimono designs in the manga, i talked about most of them here but some of the kimono's are just a solid color.

After years I've noticed that Sakuyamon has the Digital Hazard symbol on her gloves. I first realised when I saw pics of her on Danbooru tagged as Digital Hazard, and I thought it was some artistic license, but it's in fact on-model.
I find it curious because nowhere is Sakuyamon mentioned or implied to possess a Digital Hazard. It's not mentioned on her profile, and it's even more curious due to her debuting in the same series where a Digital Hazard was a plot point.
Could it simply the result of miscommunication between the designer and the lore writers? The symbol itself mostly looks like a triangle on most official arts, but the art on the latest cards show it clearly.

So I just woke up from this dream/nightmare and I felt like sharing it, suppose as a form of therapy lol. If anyone can interpret it that would be great, if not then at least I shared it with someone. Possible trigger warning for mentions of death and suicide thoughts.
The dream started with a group of 4 teenagers or young people around that age, who were driving a car. A police car with sirens, which tried to stop them for speeding and driving away, emerged from the left at nd tried to stop them, but failed and instead drove into a field where it caught on fire. The teens stopped and went to see it. In the dream I saw burned carcasses in the burning car. One of the teens snapped a picture and then they all drove off on bikes. The girl who snapped the pic was the narrator in this scene and she said something along the lines "I have fond memories to this day. It doesn't matter what happened, at least we were all together". I, who was watching this part in a tv as if I was watching a show or a film, made a snarky comment about how "When talking about being on a crime scene, you should never say you all were together". :
The next part I was actively one of the teens. We were in some kind of house, presumably doing cosplay of Disney princesses as they were in dresses and kept calling each other "Belle" or "Mulan". The Mulan girl was in her room finishing her look when her phone started to ring, so me and the Belle girl went to the living room to give her some privacy. I remember glancing to rooms that were pitch dark, one of them being the Mulan girl's room, and being really uneasy. Anyway, in the living room the Belle girl showed me pictures on her phone of the various cosplays they did, one that stuck to me was where one of the girl was tied to a chair and nervously smiling as another girl was standing behind the chair with only her head visible. Afterwards the Mulan girl came into the room crying and one of us asked her who it was on the phone. She said "It was Death. He said he misses me. But that's not true, you miss him! You, you, you!" she screamed while pointing at me.
Next I woke up, I swear I could still hear the 'you's in my ear for a second there. I was so scared even to open my eyes for a while. I like horror and usually laugh after realizing it was all just a nightmare, but this one really left me uneasy, even now as I'm writing it. I think a good chunk of why this made me so uneasy is that I struggled with suicide thoughts in the past, so that whole line really struck me as a lightning. But either way, I just felt like sharing it might bring me some eaze. And if there might be some symbolism or meaning that I missed I will gladly hear more about it.

Has anyone attempted to make a real formation from any of these cultivation novels?
I mean it looks possible with the golden ration as a starting point.
I my self have started to build a real one I have ideas. All my ideas will be using real world symbols based off nature.
For the base I've decided to go cheap ether aluminum and second one is going to be copper . This is going to be my formation eye. I was thinking of using a golden ratio design picked from leaves from plants for this one specifically the 5 point spiral. The I am making 5 pillars small. I still have to figure out what kind of symbols I want to reference from in nature to link the pillars to the eye. But I haven't started their yet. I am thinking this might be where the symble for flame or thunder come into play. Having one on a pillar then one in the eye of that same symble. I am hoping something like that will work like wireless receiver. I've only started making the formations eye tho . So has anyone else tried this yet ?.
Ok so even if nothing happens it's going to be awesome to have it set up in my garden as a display so I'll take pics when done . Um I am completely a noobie smither so please don't expect anything perfect XD. I shouldn't need perfect to die from an explosion tho if it works at all in any capacity lol.
What are all of everyone's thoughts. Am I just truly crazy or if since no one's tried it I guess everyone has to try something XD?

OK, here is some of the original yap! I am not an official hoyo design team member, nor do I know what happens in the story, so I won't say I know everything. This is just some of the stuff I found and my thoughts.
I'm not sure if I wanted to pull her yet, but her design has me thinking about its inspirations. So far, I've been looking at her animations and splash art, and it has some cool as hell ties to Catholic/Christian religious imagery.
So I'm just gonna ramble about what I think so far, i will say I'm not an official historian or anything. Just a person on the Internet with nothing better to do but ramble about a fictional character. If anyone wants to add anything in or correct me, please do!
Ok, first of all, let's look at her splash art. (Look at the pics on my first post, reddit hates me.)
So, on her splash art, we see her under a tree, the roots covered with some gold coins, pearl necklaces, and gems. We see her snake holding a red apple, and their mouth seems to dripping with a red liquid that could be from the apple itself or something else. Jade is holding her hand out, and there are what looks like contracts on clipboards floating around with one of them burning or being disintegrated by the red liquid. There is a person (looks like a male) on the floor reaching out from a low position.
What does this all mean? We are not sure, but there are a few things we can look at. The tree, the snake, the red apple, the contracts, the riches on the floor, and the person on the floor reaching out.
The tree, the snake, and the apple immediately make me think about the tree in the garden of eden. It's a well-known story and talks about the dangers of temptation. The riches on the floor don't help either as money is usually associated with greed and can also tempt you into committing sin. We don't know what is happening in the splash art, but it doesn't look like he's alive and well. That could be due to the burning/disintegrating contract that he might have signed.
Also, Jade is wearing purple, the same shades of purple as her snake. Purple is a sign of royalty, of opulence and riches. In the past, it was extremely hard to get purple and blue dyes, so they were seen as the colours worn by the upper class, especially purple, which was adopted as a royal colour. This could be a tie into Jade's role as a high-ranking ipc member, especially one with the rank of a stoneheart. With such a high title, she's obviously going to be rich as hell and have the ability to by whatever her heart desires. It could also tie into the idea of greed and money again and the fact that she's able to give it as long as you do as she asks. This is similar to the idea that if you give up your most important things or even your soul to the devil/a demon, you can get all the riches you want.
All in all the splash art is a great taste of some of the possible design elements ahead could be pulling from.
Now for the light cone!
We don't see her snake, but she's still wearing her iconic outfit, we see she's surrounded by two children, and the garden like area she's in is covered in white flowers. There are purple roses on the windows, positioned like they are creeping. The child at the front has similar hair to jade and has a purple rose on their head while also holding another red apple.
Now we don't know who the children are, for all we know the one at the front is baby jade or her daughter. So let's look at what we do know!
Purple Roses are another tie into the idea of royalty and opulence. Purple flowers themselves are tied to royalty and can represent dignity, pride, and success. These do fit into what we've seen from Jade so far. She's successful, has her own pride and dignity in the way she carries herself, and could be seen as royal like from her position.
Purple roses specifically are associated with royalty (again!), luxury, and opulence, exuding mystery and charm. This fits into her character as so far she's very mysterious and charming. In her splash art, the roots ar her feet are decorated with valuable items, and her outift seems very elegant.
I'm not sure which flower is in the picture, but white is a colour usually associated with innocence and purity. White flowers also represent things like purity, innocence, thoughtfulness, reverence, modesty, humility, honesty, fidelity, perfection, and elegance. Innocence and purity can tie into the children, and perfection and elegance could be a link to jade.
Not to mention, it could be a tie to her past. Maybe the purple roses are symbolism for her growing from innocence and naivety and into the jade we know today who is regal and opulent. She's fallen from innocence and into greed and wealth. Lucifer themes of falling from heaven are referenced a bit in her design and art.
Now for the red apple! In light cone art, we clearly see a red apple that spiritually is a symbol of love and desire. Its links to the story of Adam and Eve also tie it to temptation and sin. The fact a child is holding that, one that could be a mini jade, is interesting to think about, but we will ignore this since it's not confirmed to be her. However, a child is holding this symbol of temptation and sin. In a garden, slowly being overrun with purple roses does make me think.

So Jade's basic attack in the overworld and in battle is a whip it looks like a spine, which I'd pretty cool in my opinion. In the overworld, she just uses the whip, but in battle, we actually see that the whip is also her cane! The cane itself has a white, gold, and purple colour palette with a purple snake wrapped around on the top.
Now, the whip is interesting as whips are in the Catholic/ Christian religion used to punish the guilty and by demons to hurt evil doers in hell. Whips can also be used by priests to exorcise demons (doesn't happen anymore, but it was a practice), and monks used to practice Self-flagellation to temper themselves and drive away outside influences.
Not to mention the fact that whips in the past have been made with actual spines of animals and humans which is scary as hell, and some games like dnd include spine whips made from the spines of demons. There's not really much to speak about, but I thought it would be cool to include this little tidbit as well as a point to consider.
The snake is interesting as it is a symbol of treachery and the devil. It was the one who whispered in Eve's ear to eat the apple and is now used as a sign of the devil in religion and superstition. The fact that she has both the apple and the snake in her art is interesting. Also, her snake is the colour purple, which is also thought of as the colour of kings. Lucifer was the king of hell, so it would be on the nose that her snake, a symbol of the devil, is also the colour of a king.
Also, the contract in her ultimate that uses a stamp with a snake again is interesting as again we see that snake imagery, but it can also link to the idea of signing a contract with the devil. Those contracts never end well for the person and usually lead to their demise. Especially as they usually state that you're giving your soul away.
Finally, the devil or a demon in human disguise can be depicted in media as a distinguished looking guy. Middle-aged or younger and wears a suit and tie. A lawyer is the job most associated with him, and again, contracts are his main MO. He's attractive and uses that to his advantage to get people to sign. The devil or a demon can also be depicted in their actual form, weilding a whip and a snake on their arm/his shoulder.
OK, some other points that are missing but are actually important

Jade is wearing 3 pieces of jade jewellery, two jade circles, one on her hip, and one of her neck as well as a jade bracelet accented with gold. She also wears a lot of gold jewellery as well. Now jade is her stone as a member of the 10 stonehearts, but it's also known as the Jewel of heaven. In Eastern culture, it's tied to wealth, wisdom, success, immortality, and all there of her Jewerly reference heaven. jade accended with gold is thought to be a symbol of heaven, and a jade circle is said to be a symbol of celestial (heavenly) life and a gateway to eternal life. This links to her lucifer themes, too, as lucifer did reside in heaven.

They are also used to protect against evil and bad energy and break when they save you from something strong like a curse or bad karma. The fact that she's wearing something so blessed and heavenly while also having lucifer themes and ties to hell is interesting and contradictory. But we can not forget that lucifer was an angel of heaven too , so it would make sense for those elements to be in her design.

I went through each animation in her skills, and the screenshot were for each part i wanted to talk about but I can't be asked to run through that again, so the main points to consider are.

There is purple fire on the contract and in the space around her in her ultimate animation, which again fits the demon themes and how she's signing their soul away. The fact that the snake swallows the enemy after that fits the idea well.
She holds red lipstick in her hand when she signs the debt contract for her ally, which is a nod to her potentially being a femme fatale. Red lipstick is a signature of femme fatales in media, and her outfit is appealing to the male eye. Not to mention, it has ties to the demon idea again with succubus literally drain men of their energy and life for their own gain. You would call someone seductive and alluring a succubus.
Finally 3. The infinity symbol the snake makes on the symbol she stamps on with her shoe is interesting. It looks like an oroborus or a celtic knot, but its not either of them. Now , the English word “infinity” comes from the Latin word “infinitas”, or “unboundedness”. This Latin word itself originated from the Greek word “apeiros”, meaning “endless". Could this mean that the power she weilds is endless and unbound? But if so, then why would she use contracts and debts? Some ideas in media of demonic power do say that it's coruptive and hard to gain without equal exchange, which is why you must sign away something valuable for you to gain what you're asking for. For example, your humanity, your soul, your life, your body. Anything of value that could be enough to persuade the demon to give you what you ask for. It's also what people believe those that practice black magic or demon magic have done, sold their soul away for power in this life.
This idea isn't as concrete as my others, but it still gives thought to the idea that the powers jade wields are chaotic and unbound until something of value is brought to the table which allows for the scales to break even. At least until they lead to the person's demise.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this read! It's disappointing I can't get the original. I hope I still gave you all someone interesting to think about.
Edit: I want to add something from the comments as I have some info about the lore of the lightcone now! As well as some thoughts from 2.1 as I just rewatched it. I love penacony's story.
I couldn't find the lore description, so I didn't want to make any hard assumptions about what was happening. That does clear up the mini jade idea but doesn't take away from its Adam and Eve as well as the garden of eden imagery. In fact, it makes Jade take the role of lucifer with the symbolism of the purple roses surrounding the white flowers and taking root in them. The fact that the girl at the front is both holding the apple in her hand, has a purple rose in her hair and the roses at the very bottom of the light cone, only add to this. The girl at the front could also be Eve as she is holding the apple.
My initial thought was that Jade was playing both Eve and lucifer, with Eve being mini jade and our jade being lucifer. She was naive and innocent and then later fell into temptation and now has become the snake that whispers in the ears of future Eve's to take a bite.
Also, lilith is a point to consider, and i forgot to include her, too! She's a she demon who was thought to be the first wife of Adam and was cased away from heaven after she refused to be subservient to him. She has been depicted as the mother of demons, a demon of the night, and even a half serpent half human who curled around the tree of knowledge. It does link to Jade quite a bit, and while I'm not sure if she was an influence in her design, I do see the links. The fact that Jade is a stone that's tied to wisdom, that she has the snake herself and that she is under a tree in the splash art.
Finally, let's talk about 2.1's ending! In the ending scenes of 2.1, we see topaz talking to Jade. It's not clear what's she's doing exactly, but I think she's activating her stone. How will that help? we don't know, but she is aiming to harvest after all, and we know the ipc has plans for penacony.
What I'm interested in, though, is the lines she uses. Here they are!
Jade: "I come for an audience, I come to fill wine, and I come to claim." Jade: "I bestow poison in the guise of sweet dew. Come the toil of spring and yield of fall, I patiently wait for the branches to be heavy with withered fruits." Jade: "All for the ...Amber Lord."
These lines lean even more into the idea of jade's design as having some femme fatale elements as well as the demon/lucifer ties as well!
"I come to fill wine" and "I come to bestow poison in the guise of sweet dew" Draw my eyes as in media the femme fatale would slip wine into the drinks of the men they wish to kill. Some women in the old days would do this when their husbands would become abusive, and they were trapped in their marriage. Not to mention women who were widowed many times as their rich husbands would just suddenly drop dead and die.
Femme fatales can also be described in a similar way to what she says. They are the "sweet dew" to the men they take advantage of and even kill. They are really poison, but rather than looking like poison, they instead appear and speak in soft words, and when their victims are relaxed, they end up dead.
Lucifer is said to have a silver tongue and can lead you to sin with sweet words in your ear, much like "poison disguised as sweet dew."
We also see some Garden of eden referencing again, although it's not explicit.
"Come the toil of spring and yield of fall, I patiently wait for the branches to be heavy with withered fruits."
Now the fruits of the garden of eden are usually plump and beautiful and have been depicted as so in art and in the books. However, we also have to remember the apple and how, although it was beautiful on the outside, the fruit caused Eve and Adam to become mortal. You could describe it as withered, but 'disguised as sweet dew'? There are some arts depicting the bitten apple from the tree as withered and rotten. Not to mention Snow White and the Evil Queen! The apples she gave Snow White were poisoned and rotten, but with some magic, they looked beautiful and red.
These lines definitely lean into the idea of treachery and beguiling the senses. Which fit her overall design elements that we've spoken about so far. It really sells her as this silver tongued snake, able to beguile and bewitch her victims into a soft lul. Guiding them to their doom as the snake coils around them before BAM and they fall to their doom. Honestly, it's pretty cool, and I do hope I'm right and she seems like she's going to be a great character.
Edit 2: JUST READ THE LIGHT CONE LORE AND I FEEL SO VINDICATED AHHH.
OK, here is the light cone's lore:
"Lady Bonajade, if it weren't for your continuous supply of goods and donations, the orphanage would probably..." She gently stroked the children's heads, cutting off the director's words. "As long as I'm here, there's no need to worry about the days ahead... And there's no need to say these things to the children. It only adds to their worries."
The children looked up, chattering with her about recent happenings, their worries, and their dreams. "Lady Bonajade, when will you come next time?" "Don't overwork yourself, make sure to get enough rest..." "Lady Bonajade, when I grow up, I want to be someone like you!" She looked at the children's clear eyes and paused for a moment. "Someone like me..." The child handed her an apple, "Yes! Someone who brings light and hope to others!"
Poverty, demerits, sorrow, suffering... She walked among the galaxies, taking others' pledges and giving equivalent returns. Life exists because of desire, runs because of desire, and dies because of desire — this is an unrefutable law, as well as an inevitability of life. A philanthropist with a hidden agenda, a villain who mortgages souls... She was given various identities by the world, but only she understood the morality behind these actions.
Now, the ending part paragraph has caught my eye.
"Life exists because of desire, runs because of desire, and dies because of desire — this is an unrefutable law, as well as an inevitability of life." This hugely ties into all the demon influences I spoke about. Desire is a big thing with succubus as that's what they use to ensare and drain their prey. Also, priests and bishops are to stay away from lust and desire as it can lead to sin and ruin. Its why they are supposed to be celebate in the calthoic religion. Desire can lead you to the devil (lucifer) and take you away from God. It's also ties to the apple as it's a symbol of desire and the fact that she links to life existing because of desire could also be referencing the fact of the apple being eaten being the origin of us all. We wouldn't be here now without desire.
"a villain who mortgages souls." This was some heavy lucifer demon stuff as who deals with souls? Demons. Who would you mortgage your soul to for wealth, fame, and anything you desire? A demon or even the devil! Like I'm actually so excited at how well everything fits.

Karma, the lost album, is still very much debated, but I (and many others) think that it's real. There's a lot of evidence collected from u/1DMod in this post and more in comments, which also includes discussion of why people believe orange is the album colour. I don't think that Karma has ever been outright scrapped or that all of its songs made it into Reputation or other albums, I think it's still real and still exists and it's very gay. And I think she may be easter egging its arrival.
Karma is widely believed to be her failed coming out album, largely because it would have been released right after 1989 during a period when many of us believe she was trying to come out and then it was, we think, scrapped with the whole Kim/Kayne situation. The orange room in Lover is upside down, potentially the room to symbolise the lost album - but also her real, queer self. A recent post from u/rich_dimension_9254 here theorised that the Fortnight room in the music video is upside down, much like the Karma Lover house room, and I love their reading of this - the room itself is upside down, but in the MV she pretends to be right side up for her public image.
In Paris on the eras tour, Taylor wore this amazing bodysuit. Everyone has gone feral over it, naturally, because it's very very obviously in the lesbian flag colours.

Adding even more to the uproar around this outfit, a while back a fake and edited photo circulated from a Gaylor of the Lovers era outfit in lesbian colours. To be clear, Taylor has never worn this specific outfit. However, it is very very close to the above outfit revealed at the Paris show.

The reason I bring this outfit up and the fake outfit up is because we can see that she has almost exactly copied the fake Gaylor edited fit except for one thing: maximising the orange. I think it's incredibly interesting that she has chosen to make the bodysuit orange instead of pink, even though she kept most other details exactly the same. The boots, the shape and panelling of the bodysuit, and the fit of the bodysuit are all the same. She has only not included the tassels and she has made it orange. On top of that, the blazer for The Man is orange too. It's worth pointing out that The Man MV has one of the main giveaways Karma exists because of it being on the wall with all the albums, and it is in orange. I want to point out here that lots of people have theorised this is a clock and orange karma is at midnight. This is a huge part of what makes me (and I think others) believe Karma could be released as a coming out and it could be the next album in the countdown.

This has me clowning a bit, I won't lie. Nothing Taylor does is an accident. Her Paris show was absolutely stock full of queer flagging that I think it has made us all a little insane lmao, see this post from u/gravityalwayswins to see all the flagging - including the comments as there is so much! In the comments u/weirdrobotgrl also pointed out that during Bejeweled she had lesbian coloured lights, which ofcourse includes orange.
But something that really grabbed me is the daisy projected during the TTPD set up, pointed out by u/entomologically, the light is orange and the centre of the daisy is orange and the steps are orange. I find this interesting too because classically it would be yellow for a daisy, and you think that would fit given she wore the yellow dress.. but no. She sets up TTPD, which is basically B&W aka colourless, with orange. I find it really interesting because I feel like a lot of her orange themes get explained away because she uses the rainbow, and yet here she's introducing a mostly colourless era with orange.
This adds yet more fuel to the belief that TTPD is a grief album about her failed coming out. She is linking Karma the lost album, aka her failed coming out album, with TTPD. But, my hopeful self says a lot of TTPD demonstrates she is starting to feel very over hiding herself. I don't know about anyone else, but the way she is amping up her flagging really has me feeling like everyone must have before (I'm a later Swiftie/Gaylor sadly). I mean, the ME! marching band in Paris, the lesbian lights, the blue and pink shoes, the 1989 blue and pink outfit, the Lovers bodysuit, the rainbow colours over Bejeweled!
So what if, she is going to come out, and what if she wants a re-do, what if she wants to release Karma and she's easter egging it?
There's some other recent posts highlighting that both the idea she's about to come out again AND there's some Karma flagging been been amping up too. This is an AMAZING post from u/macandcheese358 showing us the clock counting down to Midnight, aka when she comes out, and it's linked to the Karma MV. In this also incredible post and theory, u/littlelulumcd theorises the 'hidden story' of Taylor's albums and what story you hear when you listen to Midnights and TTPD backwards, as the countdown of 3, 2, 1, with 1 being a coming out album or the Karma lost album with she/her pronouns. On an analysis of the Fortnight MV, u/18hundreds pointed out the colour coming from her typewriter is... orange!
Something else I recently found out.. Clara Bow, widely believed to either have been bisexual or lesbian, was in a lost film called Red Hair, and while the film is called Red Hair if you look it up and see one of the only pieces of surviving film her hair is a deep ginger, and it most definitely looks orange in a lot of promo pics.
In Orlando, one of Virginia Woolf's most famous and queerest books, orange symbolism is throughout. The main protagonist has a huge love of oranges. I can't find many sources to this other than this at the very end, but Virginia apparently once said or wrote "We may usefully consider, then, the value of oranges. They are, of course, one of the most universally enjoyed of fruits… but they have other qualities besides their natural succulence and delectability… They are a symbol of the sweetness and peace which follow upon bitterness and storm. The oranges… are the visible fruits of invisible graces.”. I point this out because of the many connections between TTPD and Virginia Woolf and u/AliceStanleyJr even theorised here that the end of Orlando could be Taylor's coming out date. u/AliceStanleyJr also pointed out there are LOADS of connections between Virginia Woolf and TTPD here and in the comments u/Ill_Gate1458 pointed out Woolf was prescribed her teeth being pulled out (I KNOW) to treat her mental illnesses and that an essay titled post mortem diagnoses of Virginia Woolf's 'madness' argued her breakdowns and suicide attempts were clearly a result of trying to conform to a heterosexual life. Virginia was also famed for wearing woollen orange stockings.
There is also, ofcourse, the orange confetti theory - it's about the fact Taylor keeps using orange confetti for the end of her show and fans have linked that to Karma, which was a theory that got so much attention the media picked it up.
Also, the vinyls. I don't know if this has been said before, and I'm sorry if it has. So, please correct me if I'm wrong but 1989 is the first time she released an orange vinyl and it was in a pale orange colour. 1989 is ofcourse the album that came right before Karma's apparently originally planned release and there is a running double album theory that there is a black 1989. She then released a limited edition deep orange vinyl for Reputation and blood orange vinyls for Midnights. On The Man MV wall, 1989 and Karma are the only albums repeated twice on the wall and the repeated and slightly unseen 1989 is right next to Karma. If the wall is a clock, maybe 1989's double / real / black album gets released right before Karma.
Added clowning, u/florible picked up these two polaroids from Karlie with the caption 'up to something' and they're in orange with an orange heart. Apparently Karlie was in Paris lol. And ofcourse, there's a lot to be said of the fact Taylor sang Paris and loml but that's for another post.
I am so sure there are more recent orange easter eggs but essentially my theory is that she intentionally chose orange for the jumpsuit, knowing choosing a real creation of a fake and edited Gaylor outfit would set us Gaylors off, is flagging she's a lesbian and at the same time, is easter egging Karma. I think Karma is absolutely crucial to her coming out, I'm sure of it.

EDITED TO ADD: I can’t believe I missed this out! But she sings BDILH in Paris with orange reddy lighting! In the first few parts of her singing her dress actually looks orange on the screen and the road itself looks lit up all orange throughout. A lot of it kind of looks like fire the way the lighting travels up the dancers and up Taylor, and it looks like the town behind her is on fire. ‘_I’d rather burn my whole life down_’ …

though it's hard to say, mostly due to the fact that the "highly interpretive nature" of from soft games often is the go to argument when the fans want to say "your wrong" in a nice way.
but also because I'm the type that likes to ramble rather than explain things coherently because my brain puts things together faster than my mouth can comply.
but, alot of people have been speculating that the dlc will be where Miquella's remains are, and only have done so, from my point of view, thanks to Vatti Vida.
in one of his video's, and many others like it by other analysts, speculation has centered around the lilly's of saint Trina, implying your not only in a dream, but also these lilly's and Trina herself are actually Miquella's doing, as not only Is that one of the many plot threads left untied, but heavily implies this will have to do with them...
no doubt by now you've figured that I disagree, with the Pic above, but outside of the fact it's called "the shadow" of the erdtree, shadows often in mythology implying an to be an inverse to something.
but also the fact that if you were to follow with that logic, knowing the lore of the game, then you'd also know that the erdtree is a symbol of longevity and ever lasting life, to the point that marika/radigon had the rune of death removed to effectively rule forever.
that being said, immortality, reincarnation, the blasphemy of the undead, the fact that the golden order is faith and elementally light based, or the fact that main factions with their zealots agree that anything outside of its order is formed wrongly, you'd see the running theme of people fighting for the light and life.
even Millena argues this before the grace at the gates of the three figures.
so if shadow was the inverse of all that, of life, then that would mean we'd be dealing with the things "that live in death", or more importantly, Godwyn the golden, "who lay dreaming" as I recall.
and this isn't unsubstantiated either since all fromsoft dlc's usually deal with the inciting incident causing the game itself, DS1, if manus is the pigmy, and was splitting the darksoul creating humanity, as kaathe explained, which is used to kindle the first flame as it was controled by gwyn, then if he were to die... that would naturally cause the hollowing, right?
or bloodborne, every great one loses their child and yearns for a surrogate, but the orphan of kos was killed shortly after being born, and yarhnam, after accepting the healing church, was cursed by the old blood, heavily implying that kos was the mate of the moon presence and it's curse as well as the nightmare, were a means of both avenging it's child and preserving it's life force from death.
so why not the same here? after all, not only after defeating radagon and his elden beast did we not stop the spreading of undead, but Godwin is still infecting the erdtree, which would have major ramifications down the road for any lord, even ranni.
and if speculation is correct from what I've seen from "zullie the witch", not only is the tree tilting, but if the tree binding it in the DLC is the cause, this idea that we'll be dealing with Godwyn's infection of the erdtree would make total sense, since it is what caused the shattering and IS the biggest threat to the lands between even after you beat radigon.
(though to avoid making this too long, I would like to wrap by saying fromsoft has confirmed there will be multiple entry points to the dlc, meaning the "shadow" of the erdtree could just be the multiple factions themselves, explored in this otherworld, as "shadow" could also imply what used to be, or something that resulted from the skewing of another's ideals... either way, just a thought that crossed my mind)

So, i can’t post a pic of the symbol, due to me being blind, but I’ll describe it.
It’s an upside down reversed F, not a lowercase f, with two slight lines jutting down from the ends of the arms,
I hope the description makes sense, but i heard from someone after i described it that it was a Nazi symbol, and i got the idea for it cause that was how a scar on my neck felt like, and i thought it would be a cool symbol to use for a tattoo for one of my characters.
I’m not sure if the Nazi symbolism is true, i can’t find anything online about the symbol, though that might be due to the fact I’m describing it badly. But should i keep it or not?
Edit, okay, im just gonna come out and say it, for a group all about writers, you guys clearly don’t read the whole thing, i i will admit that my using the lowercase f might not have helped, but when I corrected myself in the comments, and on here, you guys still somehow drew it to the swastica, and some of you decided to act like smart asses and jump on the blind bandwagon, I’m not condoning those who reached out and were genuine with blindness as a condition, but this entire clusterfuck isn’t cool from both sides, myself included.
