You can see from my profile I left the other forum years ago because it is toxic af. I found out I was adopted as an adult and it went from hell from there. Now that I can get this off my chest, I am tired of both birth moms and adoptive parents.
Birth moms are not selfless. Like wtf do people keep praising my birth mom for choosing life and being selfless? My birth mom is the most selfish person ever! She could not keep her legs close to her brother in law and got pregnant with me. She hid it and is very upper class conservative. These women can create babies but don't want to step up and raise them. When I see people praise birth moms for giving their babies up I am like wtf. Why are we praising this? I only feel for birth moms who did not have a choice and had their kids taken. The birth moms who choose this crap are awful, lazy, selfish human beings who hide being this marketing adoption crap. Sorry to say this but real moms step up and take care of their baby not give them away. My birth mom could've kept and took care of me, she was too lazy and chose not to. I am happy my adoption was closed because in my eyes why are we rewarding these women for wanting an open adoption and seeing their baby when they could not even step up to parent. It's like these birth moms want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to be fun mom and make excuses why they can't parent. I am not talking about the parents who truly try and cant parent but the ones who can and don't even try.
And adoptive parents.. Gosh they are just as bad. My adoptive parents are fucking awful. They lied to me and didn't tell me I was adopted. They said they made a promise with my birth mom for me to never find out. They adopted because they could not have their own bio kid. Like seriously, why do adoptive parents have the same damn story? Boo hoo you're infertile, who tf cares. I am sorry, but there are plenty of kids who you know want or need someone to adopt them. Why do these people always bypass them? Nobody needs a baby My adoptive parents are the most selfish entitled people ever! My adoption was shady af with a shady ass agency who only cared about money. My bio dad never knew about me. He died not knowing I exist. My birth mom and adoptive parents thought it was a good idea to keep this a secret and my adoptive parents actually said its better not to tell my bio dad. Why? Because he could come and take me away from them or fight for custody. WTF is this crap!! My adoptive parents were so desperate for a baby, any baby they would do this shit and keep it from me. They were happy my bio dad did not know. They were happy they did not tell me. They were mad at me for finding out I was adopted.
My adoptive parents paid a shit load of money to buy I mean adopt me. And no adoptive parents are not doing anything amazing. Raising a baby is not amazing. That's your damn job. They are not special.
All of this crap is ridiculous.
And the myth of these poor struggling birth moms who can't parent due to poverty is a lie along with amazing adoptive parents. Both sides are trash expect the birth moms who have no choice. Why can't birth moms rethink about having sex and own up to their crap and why can't infertile adoptive parents just not adopt or adopt kids in need? Why lie?

I am 19, eh I met this girl a year ago. We met my freshmen year of college and I met her from a video game online. I never experienced love or dated and I was 18 at the time so I said to myself I am ready to be open arms to the world. Things went well as a talking stage until last valentines , when I found out she was liking some other guy online. I was never really afraid to talk about it because it was online and my constant paranoia and her dishonesty led us to fall apart since I was always on edge when she spoke to me, always paranoid why she is speaking. Months after everything was sinking, she blocked me without question and I was constantly ghosted so I just took the sign this was short-lived and she never really wanted me, just the attention.
Months later, from another mutual friend online, they said she wanted to see me again multiple times. I wasn't taking it because I heard when my friend answered to her that I didn't want to see her, then she replied : "Ah well, I hope he cried well when I abandoned him". I then almost a month ago, I decided to contact her because I heard that not too long after she said that, she tried to see me two more times. And I contacted again to see if it was true, why still contact and we spoke again. She spoke about how she thought about me, how she miss me, I said the same back but she also started to ask if I was single or in a relationship because she said she is single.
Anyways, eh, she said she was scared of love and relationships so I said, ok that is fine with me, and I guess she wants to be my friend and contact with me still. And I didn't know until recently, but she is entertaining and in a talking stage with someone in real life. I found out myself by digging a bit and when I confronted her about it since she told me she is scared of love. She tells me that it's none of my business, how I need to leave her alone, how we never were close..
I am just stumped.. I came back to get my answers if she really liked me. How she is in life, and I feel like now since day 1 when I met them, I was used for attention.. I broke out an argument against text to keep asking why if she ever cared or loved me in the first place because how she used to speak to me about meeting and caring and our families. But she ended up saying give it up and sleeping.

What do I do? I have friends but I don't speak much so I don't have much around to speak to about it..
Some advice would be nice, what do I do.. she is still in my contact and she is giving me cold turkey after I call her out asking me about my relationship status yet when I ask, the tables are flipped on me and apparently I am crazy for caring to ask about their status in depth. I just wanted to know, because right now I am treated less than a friend. Like strictly on the video game friend, we don't have each others socials anymore either.. Just contact through a video game.
She keeps insisting I block her during the argument, if I don't believe what she says about her caring for me and scared of love. They're also unfurnished since I plan on furnishing the house when I move my sims into them. Like how it usually works in real life. As such, the only things here are things here are appliances and things that are typically built into the house. The first house is a 2 bed, 1.75 bath, u shaped house since I wanted to experiment with the unique shape. The second house is a 1 bed, 1 bath, L shaped house with a sizeable backyard. Both have u shaped kitchen triangles, a laundry closet, and a room for a home office/study. I'm working to fill this entire empty town starting with cheep houses and working my way up. The Og villainess/body who killed herself bc her family was horrible and neglectful of her, she wakes up when the new soul arives. She was forced to watch as her family, the ones who ignored her, who mistreated her and who hated her, fell completely inlove with this stranger because she's useful to them and because she is very resolutely NOT HER. They were kinder to "her" because of her 'close brush' with death, giving her more patience and kindness than they ever did when she was alive. Even though they think Og Villainess is still there, she isn't. She is/was dead, and they were never supposed to 'get her back' again, but instead they got to cheat fate and gain back their sistedaughtefiance again.
At one point a magic spell type thing happens (maybe a truth spell that forces the 'true' owner if the body to speak) ,and for a short time, the family is given back the real daughter they threw away. She knows now the 'truth' behind why they didn't love her before (all the stereotypical excuses) and unlike the new female lead, she doesn't forgive them. The entire time, back in her now unfamiliar body her family is so confused 'Why she's so different?' This pisses her off because SHE ISNT ACTING DIFFERENT! THIS IS THE REAL HER! THEY DIDNT NOTICE THE FACT A WHOLE. ASS. PERSON. TOOK OVER HER BODY BUT THEY NOTICE WHEN SHE GETS IT BACK???
She is furious but at the same time, so deeply insecure and depressed. She's thinking "She made herself successful, she gained all I couldn't. What right do I have to take that away from her?" Which is why she doesn't say anything yet. At one point, her brothers do the typical OI brother shtick only...she hates it. She finally boils over and says "You're both so worried about me getting hurt going out at night but neither of you gave a shit about me trying to kill myself three years ago
The neglectful family is forced to make amends and confront the consequences of their past actions, without the isekaied female leads sense of separation or sympathy.
I know in a lot of isekais they 'twist' is that it's actually a regression with a life in Korea or smth wedged between but it always bothered me because they definitely had completely different experiences. So maybe in that instance she just gets amnesia and remembers back to right before she 'died'

I'm 25 and have been living my life basically as manchild avoiding all sorts life progress such as fitness, social interaction, fixing my teeth, working full-time, and getting my driver's license, along with pursuing my own life goals of writing and illustration. My boyfriend ISTP 9w8 (22) and I ENFX 7w6 (26) started an online relationship turned real life which I met him in August, and the relationship was official 1/1.
However, when I got to know him (Let’s call him Trevor) summer leading to fall, it was mostly platonic, and a little flirting. However, he didn’t know of my age so I assumed I was too old for him for 4-5 years so I just engaged in the community online texting and not through Whatsapp.
However, starting in October, everything was smooth until he talked to this girl, let’s name her Lara. She is a “mean girl”, and she playfully flirts with everyone. He started to talk to her and banter with her meanly with a specific kind of humor, always flirt with her, talk about sexual topics with her and say things like “I’ll drop my EP a day early for you” and “Mad submissive”. It felt like he didn’t like her for her but flirts with her for god knows what reason!
The thing is, I liked him throughout the whole fall, so me and my friends seeing it they were always asking if they were together. She flirts with everyone, but he only bantered with her. So I concluded it to 3 reasonings of why: 1) he finds her the youthful option and he is pragmatic in choosing a mate 2) He wants her validation 3) he genuinely likes her.
Then came around 12/28 when we got closer and closer and I sort of told him how I felt through music and we talked everyday after. However on 12/30 he ignored me for a whole day to talk to her even saying things like bruised minge(?) which means vagina in slang. And voice notes her a lot with a jump in his voice.
After we got together on 1/1 which we grew really close we would call hours a day. The flirting mostly stopped but there were times on 1/30 and 2/5 and 2/18 where he would still have that jump in his voice and sends us the same memes and such. I confronted him on why he says he saw her as entertainment and felt empty so he flirts a lot and he said I made him stop liking mean girls? He said he likes chasing thrills and feeling something. And I always saw it as a validation thing because he never liked her just the idea of her as he didn’t know her that well as it was like that from the get go but it was always banter as he showed me his dms with her and he only has me on WhatsApp which we bonded over a companionship bond (calling every day for 2 hours, saying I love you, deepest darkest secret sharing, being there for eachother) and laughing a lot than a fire bond. We even visited each other and we held hands a lot and cuddled and slept with eachother. He told me his insecurities and darkest thoughts and we hanged out with eachother everyday for months just us alone on call and he even said he would be content with us me to talk to not the community at large
Still, it kind of hurt. Because we were together. And I liked him before. I asked him in a call one month later and asked if he thought she was cute, he said “of course she’s cute, she’s absolutely silly” which shocked and saddened me. I broke up with him.
Why do you think he did that, does he have a type, was he chasing validation and thrills, or he genuinely likes her?
Also did he emotionally cheat on me because it really hurt when he hyper fixated on her for banter.

2024.05.14 22:58 romic007 Ninja Kamui had so much potential

I just binged watched the series. Gotta say the first 6 episodes were great. However it really lost its momentum after that. I give it 7/10
I would've changed a few things that i think would've been better.
Ps this is just my opinion. This is more of a rant but i hope u enjoy.
These are the problems/potential solutions with the show in my opinion.
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
With the first episode and the first scene. I think showing the quick fight scene with one of the exiled Ninjas was kind of a waste of action that could've been used somewhere else. I also think they should've shown the face hologram reveal here. I think the face hologram kinda ruined it in a way since the best action was from Higan with that hologram on his face. We don't see his real face til the best action of the show is done. I think it would be cool if the audience sees his true face while the world he is in sees the hologram face. Maybe a scene at the grocery store while he looks in the window sees his reflection and its the hologram face while the audience sees his real face. My second gripe with Episode 1 is the best episode of the whole series. It is the episode that pulls you in and makes you watch the whole series. But as much as i loved the episode i feel like they should have stretched it out into 2 episodes. Like I said at the beginning with the unknown exiles ninja getting his very own fight scene yet Mari (Higan's wife) she barely showed any action throughout the whole show. I wish they just showed the ending of the exiled ninja where he is executed. Then shifts to Higan and his family living their best life while 1 by 1 exiled ninjas are killed. Then the night of the family's demise we see Mari show her skills as a ninja. Maybe a side by side shot of both of them fighting/killing. Maybe showing that just by the sheer numbers and the fact that she was protecting her son then going all out would lead to her downfall. I think stretching out that sequence with Mari showing her skills would've been better than showing a random exile showing off only to be killed off in a min. I think by the time Higan is in the hospital clutching his fist as he is in the hospital bed would be a great way to end episode 1. Then the hospital scene would be extended. Showing the fight scene where the fbi guy discovered the bodies. Then the whole scene for when Higan burns down his home and puts on the mask would be episode 2. I think extending episode 1 into 2 episodes would have been better.
For the side characters none of them really stuck out for me. Except for Emma and maybe Dilly. As for Morris he really wasn't necessary in the plot. I feel like Emma should have played a more prominent role over Morris given the backstory she has and her relationship with Mari (Higan's wife). She like many others had potential that was wasted. I think if she was the main side character the story would flow better. It felt like to me that Morris was just thrown in there for nothing. As well as the former chief of the ninja clan that Higan was apart of. He is portrayed as a healer that use to be with the clan but turns out he is the dead former head. He used some ninjutsu technique that kept his head alive. I feel like his presence should have played either a bigger role than it did or shouldn't have existed to begin with.
As for the villains i can say all of them were unfortunately disappointing. Especially Zai and Yamari who had the biggest potential. As for the other villains (afro guy, little pervert, Joseph, etc.) they felt like they were just added to the story to fill in the episodes. Joseph had too much screen time. I believe he should've been more of a subordinate than a "partner" with Yamari. Following his orders instead being a whiny annoying little shit. Yamari fell flat as well had a kool ninjutsu technique that he only used once. I was expecting a big show down between him and Higan but it didn't live up to the hype. Zai had the most upside former friend of Higan and Mari who was left behind when they fled to be a normal married couple while he stayed in the clan. Out of all the characters Zai had the most development. Solid backstory but his transition from big bad to anti hero/villain was sloppy.
For the mech and Ninjutsu stuff. This was could've been so good ninjutsu mixed with Mech could have been cool but how it was executed turned into mech beating the shit out of ninjutsu. I would have had the mech be used as like a booster to the ninja and his techniques making his/her ninjutsu techniques even more destructive/powerful. But instead we got ninjutsu getting demoralized by the new tech mech. I wished they explored the techniques more and if and how the mechs could boost the effects of said techniques.Which ultimately started the downfall of Ninja Kamui.
Now the main character Higan
I liked his true design not the hologram face. Especially his mask. I was disappointed that the mask was destroyed so soon. His character for the first couple episodes was good. But he went from this rage filled demon out for vengeance into a moody middle age man. His development was weird and not satisfying. His ending was disappointing as well.
What i would change with Higan would be that he didn't survive his death at the hands of the assassins. He used some ninjutsu technique that has allowed him to live a little longer. I think this would go well with the fast pace that we had the first few episodes. With each passing episode Higan gets more reckless and ruthless knowing his time is limited and running out. I think Higan should've died after completing his vengeance. I think he wouldn't want to live anymore especially without his wife and son. I also think a few episodes seeing his upbringing with Mari and Zai would have been better than the fights with the little pervert and Afro guy. I think it would have been cool for Zai to get redemption and live on for Higan and Mari.
Episode 1 would be stretched into 2 episodes
Episode 2-5 wouldn't change that much while episode 6-9 would be the backstory of Higan and the other seeing what drove them away in more detail. Episode 10-13 would be the Higan facing Zai, Emma death, final showdown between Higan and Yamari. With NO CGI FIGHTS
Again this is just my opinion i really did like the show but it definitely wasted a ton of potential everywhere

I realize I am not a good person. People make a lot of excuses for me and say Im good when I know I am not. I always want people to know the truth that I am bad and I have made bad life choices and I am not at the moment a stable person to keep in your life. Could be an OCD thing but who knows. I know my alters hold some very unhealthy behaviors and thought patterns. A lot of us do not like or trust each other. We slowly are building safety inside but its so hard
My toxicity leeches into my real life.
Im good in small doses basically. I never let myself get close to people in fear that I will hurt them. I am so mean and unhealthy. Im trying to heal by letting myself have acquaintances, slowly building loose friendships and reconnecting with family. but "bad alters" (not bad to me, but to others, yes) tell me I am dangerous and bad for them
I learned along the way I have what others may call selfish/bad/toxic dissociative alters and they run my life basically. Hypersexuality and Anger Issues rooted from trauma = Bad Time.......
I feel so much shame even slowly unraveling fhis to my therapist. She is well versed in IFS but i feel like my parts probably terrify her. I am admitting slowly my selfish actions. She seems compassionate and understanding but I get scared to tell her my alters are people I love but I consider them harmful people at the same time.
