2024.05.15 16:13 rolandassassin After 7 years Overwatch is losing its competitive feeling
Let me start that I love OW, I am playing since OW1 launch and there is still not better pvp game unfortunately. Hours played: Over 6 000.
But lately the decisions made me really worried. I survived all the crazy metas and wild decisions in 7 years. But now I am getting honestly scared for the future of the game.
- The soft start was giving same amount of comp points to everyone. Why not reward skilled players in competitive game? Why give everyone the same? Why did they even removed animated sprays for T500 which was great motivation to climb? That was a major red flag but still survivable.
- HP and Hitboxes - who asked for this? Literally? This was major damaging point for the game, where at least 5 players from my friend list left the game. Shooting nose and shooting 10 cm next to year no does same damage? In competitive fps game? Like what?
- Tank HS reduction - I am all for buffing tanks generally or giving them some new passives. But this was literally the worst type of buff they could ever do. Punishing skill yet again. Headshot must be rewarded, they could just play with HP and armor.
Maybe its new strategy to make OW family friendly game where everyone has impact, so they sell the most skins because people are delusional that they got better.
But OW is competitive FPS and all these changes are absolutely horrendous for that.
I am just sad how quickly (last few months were enough) they are now murdering my favorite game ever. Wondering if its Microsoft or what the hell happened?

2024.05.15 16:07 Joelemite79 Master is Garbage
| What kind of Master matchups are these!?! Been happening on the regular. I could fling a perfect game and this guy could crap the bed and I would still lose. Way to suck every ounce of fun out of it. I guess I'll have to revert to wasting 30 tickets on tanking games and move down a couple leagues. It should be skill verse skill, not whatever this garbage is! submitted by Joelemite79 to AngryBirds2 [link] [comments] |
2024.05.15 16:05 ellzilchowow [NA] [Sargeras] [A/H] - Recruiting for S4 Heroic Raiding / M+ - (Tues/Thurs 8-11pm CST)
Ancient Ones is a semi-casual guild on US-Sargeras of mostly Alliance players, but have no objections to Horde now that cross-faction is a thing. We aim to be inclusive and are made up of a group of older individuals, working adults, moms & dads, etc. that are looking for a place to call home and play the game how they would like to play while finding a way to accomplish their goals.
We are recruiting players to bolster our raid team for the Awakened season/raids with a side helping of Mythic+ and socials. We are an AotC focused guild with some members that are looking to push M+.
We do not offer much cross server support at this time and will not until The War Within releases with better options to provide there.
We are 7/8H AVotI (8/8N), 9/9H AAtSC (9/9N), 9/9H AAtDH (9/9N) and previously 9/9H Aberrus and 9/9H Amirdrassil. This is not a Mythic prog focused group.
Raid Times: Tuesday / Thursday 8pm CST - 11pm CST (9-12 EST).
Recruitment Needs (Raid Team)
DPS
HIGH: SPriest, Mage, Warlock, Rogue, Enh Shaman, DH, Augvoker, Devastation, Monk, Death Knight
MED: Warrior, Druid, Paladin, Hunter
Heals
Looking for heals comfortable with DPS offspecs as we will usually need to flex at least 1 healer to DPS depending on the night's attendence.
MED: Shaman, Evoker, Paladin, Monk
Low: Priest, Druid
Tanks
We are not currently looking for Raid tanks, but M+ Tanks and Tanks with Offspecs to DPS in Raid are welcome!
MED: Death Knight, Monk, Demon Hunter, Warrior
LOW: Paladin, Druid
Recruitment for Mythic+ and Socials
Open to all! We are really looking for additional tanks and healers to help form more groups and run more keys in guild, but DPS players are also very welcome and necessary!
For more information, please reach out to the following individuals:

2024.05.15 16:04 larknok1 Most light pen weapons should get more damage to compensate
The way armor and penetration works in the game is that every weapon (or damage source) and enemy part has an armor point (AP) value that ranges from 1-8.
AP1 represents having no armor / penetration.
AP2 is called light armor / penetration. This is by far the most common AP value for primary weapons.
AP3 is called medium armor / penetration. This is the highest AP value primary weapons can have.
(Although not tagged in the game, AP4 is called 'heavy' armor / penetration by the community. Just know that AP4 is far from the highest value. There are support weapons and enemies with AP values 5+.)
When you shoot an enemy part with a weapon, the game checks the AP value of your weapon against the AP value of the enemy part.
If weapon AP:
greater than enemy AP : You deal 100% damage, indicated by a red hitmarker.
equals enemy AP : You deal 50% damage, indicated by a white hitmarker.
less than enemy AP : Your bullet deflects, dealing 0% damage, indicated by the deflection icon.
So far, so good. The problem is that enemies with AP2 (light armor) and AP3 (medium armor) are extremely common, especially at difficulties 7-9.
Against bugs:
AP2 / light armor: The Brood Commander's head / torso, the Charger's butt
AP3 / medium armor: Hive Guard front, almost the entire body of Bile Spewers
Against bots:
AP2 / light armor: Devastator limbs, Hulk vents
AP3 / medium armor: Scout strider legs / base, Devastator torsos, Tank and Cannon Tower vents, Factory Strider mini-guns and spawner belly
What does all this mean?
Against all the AP2 targets listed above, light penetrating weapons deal half their damage, going from 100% -> 50% (while medium penetrating weapons deal 100% damage).
Against all the AP3 targets listed above (notably: bile spewers + almost everything difficult about the bots), light penetrating weapons completely bounce off, going from 50% -> 0% (while medium penetrating weapons deal 50% damage).
Against most of the difficulty-defining enemies, light pen weapons deal -50% damage relative to medium pen weapons.
-50% damage reduction is massive. To be sure, players can try to work this reduction (somewhat) by aiming for weak spots (Brood Commander legs and Devastator heads) and maneuvering around other enemies (like Hive Guards), but having to do so comes with its own costs, often requiring time and pinpoint accuracy helldivers can ill afford in the heat of battle.
When you average across all possible enemies, light pen weapons are losing somewhere from 20-40% of their damage potential (not to mention that they are useless against all AP3 targets) just because they are light pen.
Why does this matter?
Well, light pen weapons are not balanced around this fact. To compensate for the fact that having the 'light pen' tag effectively means -30% damage relative to a gun with the same damage with the 'medium pen' tag, light pen weapons need substantially more base damage to compensate.
The problem is that in many cases, the opposite is true, with medium pen weapons (mostly) getting higher base damage.
Compare:
Diligence (Light Pen, 125 damage) vs. Diligence CS (Med Pen, 140 damage)
Verdict (Light Pen, 125 damage) vs. Senator (Med Pen, 175 damage)
Liberator (Light Pen, 60 damage) vs. Adjudicator (Med Pen, 80 damage)
Starting out behind, against AP2 targets these guns fall way behind:
Diligence (62.5 damage) vs. Diligence CS (140 damage)
Verdict (62.5 damage) vs. Senator (175 damage)
Liberator (30 damage) vs. Adjudicator (80 damage)
Against AP3 targets (numerous), this of course becomes comparatively even worse for light pen:
Diligence (0 damage) vs. Diligence CS (70 damage)
Verdict (0 damage) vs. Senator (87.5 damage)
Liberator (0 damage) vs. Adjudicator (40 damage)
Unless the enemy spawning is going to fundamentally change to prioritize enemies with no armor, light pen weapons need significantly more damage to compensate for reliably losing -50% damage against the hardest enemies to fight against.

2024.05.15 16:02 NotFivesNope Some guides for those that are new...
Let me start off this post by saying that I'm posting this in the hopes that my guides and articles might help some struggling individual that is new to the game or unfamiliar with a few of the mechanics of Foxhole to get a foothold of understanding with them.
As a player with more than 1,500 hours sunk into the game and still being a measly Lt, I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience of the game. I'm a diehard Warden and I've always been a Warden ever since I started playing back in
War 60-something. That being said, I had the wonderful opportunity to make a review article of the game as well as some guides on how to use some vehicles and take advantage of some mechanisms in the game, and I'd like to share them with you guys!
Here's my review on the game at its current state. At the moment, I think the game is good to enjoy as a casual player. While I am not a big fan of the recent production changes and the, frankly, absurd levels of tanks in the game (I've been shot at by random tanks as an unarmed infantryman more times this war than in all of my other wars combined), I think the game still retains its charm despite how many veterans complain about it.
Ranking up is a problem, as per usual. I think a lot of players, both old and new, get confused with how their ranks are actually determined. Sure, we know that commends increase our ranks but at the current state of the rank system you are honestly just left with eyeballing how many commends you need to finally rank up. I wish the devs would add a tracker bar or something, so its easy for us to see how many commends we need to reach the next rank.
And then there's the vehicles. I've made guides on how to use
ambulances,
advanced construction vehicles, and
battle tanks.
I'd be happy to see some feedback on my articles if they're accurate or helpful in the slightest! Cheers.

2024.05.15 16:00 XX1Sav4ge 36[M4F] East Canada/Online - Epic Adventures or Lazy Cuddle Sessions, Apply Within
Ever tried building the Millennium Falcon out of Lego while simultaneously deadlifting and stealthily killing a bunch of guards on Assassins Creed? Me neither, but I'm always up for a challenge. 😂
Ok, so this is my first time doing this whole "putting myself out there" thing, so bear with me while I try not to spill my coffee on the keyboard from nervousness. 😅
Me:
- Amateur Nerd based in Canada (GTA)
- Passionate about photography (taking them, not being in them... still working on the selfie game), travel (who isn't?), tech (can fix your Wi-Fi, probably), Lego (master builder in training), working out (aspiring endorphin junkie), reading (anything from fantasy to non-fiction), and gaming (Xbox/PS5, but I'll dabble in Mario Kart if you twist my arm)
- Currently accepting applications for co-op partners in crime/travel/photo sessions/love/Lego building (short or long-term contracts available)
You:
- Amazing female human who doesn't mind a slightly awkward, but well-intentioned dude

2024.05.15 15:55 X_Joyam Old Facebook war game
Hey guys, I'm looking for an old Facebook war game.
It's an old Facebook game where you had this island you could expand (it's now
Empire & Allies, which was discontinued before this game).
In this game the same troops you had to deploy to battle, were scated around your island. You had to fight monsters basically (it's not Social Empires tho). These units you could make were very different in nature: there were land troops like infantry and tanks, but also a lot of airplanes (the red baron was a special flying unit), helicopters and some giant mechs (I do remember I used to have made a yellow one).
You were able to mine minerals—if I don't remember wrongly, they were gold and wood—and there were also turrets and walls to protect your little encampment from sporadic outer monsters raids.
It's not
Battlefront Heroes, but I do remember I used to play this game around the same time.
If it could help, the base was made by several islands, and you used to begin from the central main one and you could expand farther by purchasing plots of land and killing the monsters nearby.
Does anyone remember what's the game's name?

2024.05.15 15:47 RoamingRacoon I just can't beat Kaern - any tips ?
As the title says, I am totally stuck here since days. Haven't had any real issue with the game so far, and I also know how to play this genre.
Running a blood knight / soldier, am levelled up appropriately and deal great damage to everything else. Yes I know, I can tilt the platform myself.
This boss just seems broken to me. He tanks insane amounts of dps and I just can't get much health down until my feathers run out. His direct attacks sometimes start right when I jump or run towards him with no chance of avoiding getting hit (even dashing though hits me often, blocking animation also takes too long)
Is there any way to cheese this guy? I want to move on with the game ... 60 deaths in, I beat the other bosses so far in like 2-3 attempts. Something seems wrong, I dont know what.

2024.05.15 15:43 buntar1 Best super styles
It is a shame that the best super styles are the last ones. I've been around 35 lvl at the end of April. Now I am 144 lvl, thanks to this suberrddit for enlightening me about some maps and Lego afk, but I am drained because of this daily grind, I want to enjoy the game and at the same time I want these super styles. But, I guess, there is only one way out to be happy.

2024.05.15 15:37 ADeadMansName 14.10 early item/champ overview
Hi there,
With 14.10 just getting out I went through the super early data by hand and looked for item performances that stand out on the 1st item slot (for other item slots we mostly lack data). I also loocked through some champs and Classes to find out who improved and who didn't:
This is still very early and you will get more intel in my post about the overall impact this patch had in around 2 days. But I wanted to give people some help with their item choices when it comes to the item changes and which item to rush and what is OP right now and what to avoid.
Winners:
- Blackfire Torch (BFT) + Liandrys: Yep, they all look really strong with it, especially once it is stacked with Liandrys. Both items are similar in power with Blackfire taking a slight lead as a 1st item due to the build path, mana and the monster dmg. I think it is time to nerf Blackfire Torch immediately and Liandrys also a bit, to keep both good but Blackfire the 1st buy and Liandrys the 2nd or 3rd option. Brand/Malzahar mid but also Lillia and Karthus jungle are especially OP. Morgana is also a lot better with that item. While BFT is OP, Liandrys still keeps up with it, showing is how OP Liandrys actually was all of this year. And now that you can combine both it becomes insane.
- BorK buffed by ~+2% WR on all core users. Irelia, Kalista but also Sett and others can use the item a lot better. It even seems to overpower Stride on Sett again. It will likely see some nerfs getting it down by ~1% WR. I would expect the life steal to go back to 8% and the onhit part to go to 8%/5% as a first nerf.
- IE(/Collector) your 1st item for Crit: Right now now other crit item is as good to rush as IE is. Collector comes close and can be used on some champs like Samira most likely. For Samira with IE or with Shieldbow we need more data.
- Tanks (top): Nearly all tanks went from ~49-50% WR to 50-51% WR. This is likely due to LDR not giving Giant Slayer anymore making HP not an as bad stat on tanks. Sunfire and Radiant did not improve compared to Heartsteel, so I would say the change of -150 HP -> 10 AH is nearly even.
- Camille/Irelia/Renekton/Morde top: These 3 become a lot better most likely due to many bruisers losing some power (Jax, Darius, ....) while tanks gained a bit and these 3 are great into most tanks. Especially Morde is OP right now it seems. Irelia should go down with BorK nerfs and Camille has to be seen.
- Plated Steelcaps: %WR wise they were the worst boots in the game, even on tanks. Now they are close to Mercs and Ionian which makes them at least decent. Still not beating these 2 on AVG, but close to being even. Overall just slight winners but at least no bait anymore.
- Samira/Jhin/Jinx (Crit) but also Ashe (AS): All of these perform even better than last patch. Samira a ton better even, the others slightly better.
Losers:
- ER is just terrible. I would suggest -200g cost but only refunds 20 mana on hit down from 15 + 0.1 bAD. 12 mana on hit is already a lot and you mostly care about it early/mid and not late game, so the bAD scaling is mostly useless anyways. At 1 item you have close to 100 bAD so you got 25 before and now you only get 20. That is a nerf, but not a meaningful one compared to 200 lower gold cost. If this is not enough, give it +5 AD and/or +5 AH.
- Darius/Nasus: Both Ghost users and so both dropped below 50% WR (no filter, all ranked soloQ games).
- AD assassins: Not reallly losing a ton this patch, but there is no AD assassin above a 50% WR. The highest one is Naafiri with 50%. Some lost ~1% WR, others stayed mostly even.
- Smolder: He has no items to go anymore. Trinity could be his best, maybe IE or Navori.
- Kog: He suffers from the LT removal the most. -3% WR, but still above 50%. But also an item problem as people mostly go BoRK on him when I think Kraken or Rageblade is his best 1st item.
- Yuumi: Don't ask me why.
Special:
- Yasuo/Yone: Try out more items. I bet on IE, but PD and some other items seem to have potential, too.
- GP: has to be seen which item performs the best. Trinity, IE or Collector.
- Corki bot: His WR in bot is higher than in mid now, but it still has to be seen how good he really is in bot. Right now he doesn't perform too well but the item builds are just getting tested. Trinity, IE and Collector do look promising.

2024.05.15 15:35 pa5tacat MF's New Core and Alternative Items: A Comprehensive Chart
This isn't perfect, but I wanted to share some of my thoughts on what a core Press the Attack build on MF will look like in most games. This is a flexible build, so you can still choose any item if certain prerequisites are met.
Core Build
Name | Role | Notes | Build Order |
The Bloodthirster | Defensive, Offensive(Trading), Utility, Movement Speed(strut), MF ❤️'s the Damage Profile | The shield helps maintain your "W" strut passive. Core item. Great with enchanter supports. | 1-2 |
The Collector | Core, MF ❤️'s the Damage Profile | AD++, Lethality++, Crit+. Excellent all-around choice. | 1-2 |
Infinity Edge | Core, Damage Stick, MF ❤️'s the Damage Profile | AD+++, Crit+, Crit Damage++. Typically the 2nd or 3rd choice after The Collector. | 2-3, 5 |
Lord Dominik's Regards / Mortal Reminder | Core, Damage, Anti-ArmoAnti-Heal | AD++, Pen+++, Crit%. Opt for Mortal Reminder against heal-heavy champions (Vlad, Lillia, or Darius...). | 3-4 |
Yun Tal Wildarrows | Surprise Bleed, Core | AD++, AD passive++, CRIT++. Stacking bleed passive amplifies damage significantly after acquiring substantial AD. | 4-5, or never |
Berzerker -> Zephyr | Core (End Game), Attack Speed | Might be all the attack speed you ever need on MF. Transition to Zephyr at end game. | 2-3 -> 6 |
Alternative Items (Situational)
Name | Role | Notes | Build Order |
Edge of Night | Anti-Squishy, Defensive | HP + Spell Shield. Acts like a permanent Morgana spell shield. | 3-5 or never |
Yommu's Ghostblade / Opportunity | Anti-Squishy, Lane Dominance, Defensive | More damage with Opportunity; better utility with Ghostblade. | 1 or never |
Serpent's Fang | Anti-Shield | Essential against champs like Riven or teams with multiple shields. | - |
BORK | Anti-Tank, On-Hit | Crucial against teams with 2-3 tanks; synergizes with other on-hit items. | - |
Essence Reaver | Damage, Sustain, Crit | Used to give CDR, now helps with mana. Fun for builds, but not the top recommendation. | - |
GA | Defensive, Endgame Purchase, Good Against Assassins | Can be sold and repurchased as needed based on passive cooldown. | 4-5 or never |
Kraken Slayer | AD, AS, Damage Passive, ant-tank | Low Health Damage Passive. Losing the crit isn't ideal, but shines in specific game scenarios. on-hit passive can be good vs tanks that you can auto attack while staying safe | 1,2 or never |
Immortal Shieldbow | AD, Crit, Defensive | Shield Passive, Anti-Assassins. More AD and crit, less lifesteal. Alternative to Yun Tal Wild Arrows/Essence ReaveKraken Slayer. | 3-4 or never |
Other Mentions
Name | Role | Notes | Build Order |
Manamune / Muramana | Offensive, Sustain | AD++, great with Comet for early-game E poke strategy. Best when synergizing with a poke support against non-healing/shield opponents. Still great, but not as important anymore due to Blue Buff being a free passive after 20 minutes. | 1, 2, 3 |
Mercurial Scimitar | Defensive | High AD, excellent against pesky mages like Kassadin. | 3, 4, 5 |
Thanks and hope this chart is helpful.
Best.

2024.05.15 15:31 casefilesofVJ The Love Tunnel
-Jack
Every kid growing up in Gympie in the early 90- 2000s knew about the Love Tunnel.
The love tunnel was located over the hill from the skatepark on the Riverbank. It was a massive storm water drain filled with spray paint and lore unbound throughout the generations; the glowing dick, whose name is the furthest in, the people who live inside, the bull shark that lived under the bridge just outside, all that fun stuff.
It collapsed in the late 2000’s in a flood and was eventually rebuilt, but it was all fancy, modern, safe and not the same. Back in the day it had decades of graffiti, crumbling cement, jagged metal pole framing bent and jutting out from the sides. You know, real character.
I remember when I was just a kid at the skatepark and I spotted a bunch of other kids at the metal grating of a drain. I joined them and gazed down a few metres to some older teenagers, they had trekked through this “love tunnel” under the massive hill all this way. Badass I thought. LEGENDARY.
I talked about it at school, about this mysterious “love tunnel”. It was in view from the road when I crossed the bridge everyday on my daily commutes from the backseat of mums car.
I would gaze down at the weir and see the top of the love tunnel, sliightly hidden from view by a hill. It fascinated me.
I learned all these mysterious tales; this person slept with this person there, someone took a dump at the entrance and some other girl stood in it and now she had a nickname, someone found needles, another found a homeless woman and she screamed at them. I was pumped for the next weekend. I was going to go see it for myself.
I saw too much.
Early Saturday morning I was riding my push bike through town and toward destination adventure! I started out at the skatepark, met up with a few of the regulars, a mix of 5-19y/o everyone on the half pipes and ramps had a code of comrady that I've never found in a public place anywhere else and you always had someone to hang with.
My usual crew slowly arrived through the morning, a bunch of other 10/11 year old misfits like myself and we headed on our first place on our journey, Hungry Jacks. Now we never technically stole, we found a loophole…
One or two would order a stunner meal, then we'd take privilege of the free refills and fill up the empty plastic 4L juice jugs that we all had prepped in our backpacks. Coke and red Fanta for days.
So we got our supplies and headed behind HJ, past the volleyball courts and headed down a bush track down to the river.
We walked along the banks to loop back down to where the bridge was, we passed a few teenagers fishing and a couple other groups of kids swinging from rope swings into the water or huddled in groups smoking things they shouldn't.
We eventually arrived at the weir and the stormwater drain that I had been so intrigued by. The Love Tunnel.
Climbing up the hill and seeing it up close when you were just a tiny human. It was like staring into the dark abyss of hell.
There was a small stream of water flowing out of the big grey cylinder and it was covered in multicolored quotes and crude pictures that was very eye opening at the time.
Our voices echoed as one by one we climbed up the grassy, eroding clay edging that was the makeshift path into the mouth that probably changed each time it rained. Each of us had pulled out clumps of grass that we thought were handholds. If you fell, you fell down an embankment of slippery jagged rocks poking out from the fast flowing river.
So were inside and began to walk a couple of metres in then around us the light abruptly disappeared into complete darkness. And I remember the way the sounds traveled you could feel it through your chest it was mesmerizing.
I remember bravely stepping into the darkness and taking five or six steps in. That thick darkness was something else, I ran myself back to that entrance and light, heart pounding from the adrenaline.
This turned into a game of who could go in the furthest. This stopped when one of the boys screamed out from the darkness in pain.
He was back in the light teary eyed a few moments later wet on one side and feigning a laugh. He'd slipped down and cut open his knee, it was hilarious. We teased him saying he was going to get gangrene and leprosy and a myriad of other ailments we had no idea actually was.
We decided to bail, we forgot torches, we didn't plan that part out too well, and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon being little menaces.
We met the next day with a game plan, we had an array of various sized torches, from small ones that didn't do anything, one of those giant rectangle ones that was our main light source, a couple of handheld ones, one which flickered and the other stopped working before we even got into the tunnel.
We got in safely and tested out our torches and began walking into the unknown. It was pretty much the same as before, but there were strange things, old makeshift bongs, shopping bags, random shoes, a shopping trolley, a mattress that was all moldy and rotted. I still to this day do not understand how people managed to get that shit in there.
We passed a section where someone had thrown a can of red paint all over the walls, the amount of those ‘S’ symbols was more terrifying.
We saw light up ahead, we were passing our first grate. It was kind of daunting looking up towards it. Even getting on each other's shoulders we couldn't reach. There was an array of broken beer bottles and glass was everywhere, under the grate was a dead snake amongst some debris.
We had a debate whether to go further, we ended up going on at least until the next grate, we came to a fork, one seemed like a smaller offshoot so we stuck to the bigger side.
There were more offshoots and we came to a part where the big pipes split off into three under another grate. We gazed up hoping to get an identifier of our location, but all we could see was blue. We called out to see if we could get anyone's attention.
“Cooooweeee” we shouted in unison, the sound echoing in all directions.
We were laughing and having a grand time until something shouted back, something that still shakes me to my core to this day.
Some yobbo crackhead chick in her fifties with this ratty pink tank top that was all stretched half showing her saggy titties. “What the fuck you think you little cunts doing down here.” This chick screeched at us through her few teeth or something along the lines of that. She just exploded at us with a barrage of threats.
We were shocked silenced moving together to make one mass.
One of the boys screamed when a skinny guy emerged from the darkness. He was covered in tattoos with scraggly hair and a beard, he was all crazy eyed and pantless.
Someone yelled out to run and it was all the motivation we needed.
We could hear them screaming and the guy ran after us, we heard glass shattering behind us, they must have thrown a bottle. We were legging it.
We got split up in our running, I fell down, tripping over some rubbish, one mate stayed back to help me, this left us without a torch. We came across the same kid who slipped over yesterday, he had slipped down again cutting open his other knee. He wore those with badges of honor at school, but he was blubbering like a baby at this point.
He had the flickering torch and it disoriented us more than helped, as it turned on and off every time he took a step. I thought we were lost but we found the other grate, then eventually the entrance.
The others were already climbed down, we were soon by their side panting in the grass and wiping away our tears so the others couldn't see.
We ran back over to the skatepark and immediately told every kid we saw.
That was the wildest shit we had ever experienced. Sure we’d seen crazy up on the street but to have it jump out at you from the shadows in a storm water drain was next level.
By that night one of the other boys had spilled to his parents about our escapades and a couple of other mums got phone calls, three got in trouble, two of us didn't, including me.
I never stepped foot back in that tunnel, I swam at the weir more times than I could count afterwards though and never encountered anyone else too sketchy.
I think only a year or two later I saw on the news people dying in storm water drains somewhere else in Aus, we never realized how dangerous they could be back then. Lol.
Every party or get together afterwards it was a crowd favorite to bring up. It was a good conversation starter and joined the tales amongst my friends of the weird shit that happens in ‘Helltown’.
Growing up and looking back they were probably just homeless drug addicts freaked out from a bunch of children's voices yelling out coooweee from the underground where they thought they were alone. That would have scared the shit outta me if I was them.
Good times.
.VJ - in 2012 two women tragically passed away when they were exploring the tunnels and got swept away when a wild storm cell hit. Pictures of the upgraded version of the 'love tunnel' can be found in corresponding news articles.

2024.05.15 15:25 legsarebad Advice on which Tank to use on each map/game mode.
I’m a relatively new player and have been playing the majority of my time as Tank. I feel comfortable with Ramattra, Orisa and Ball, which seems like a good starting point. I was wondering if anyone could break down which maps would be more appropriate for each of those heroes. For example, I have great games with Ball on Ilios and Watchpoint: Gibraltar but seem to struggle with him on Lijiang Tower. Thanks!
