TLDR: Warriors and Experts should have Arts of their own for fun and profit, so that all Classes follow the same design paradigms, rather than these two being outliers to the multitude of Partial Mages.
If anyone has any ideas on implementing such a thing or has done so already, I'd love to hear about it!

A design feature of WWN that bugs me is the lack of Effort and Arts for non-Mage classes.
Arts are functionally mini-Foci and allow for both distinction and customization within a particular Class, while also reinforcing that Class's thematic function. Unfortunately, almost every Class with Arts is a (Partial-)Mage--excepting Bard and Mageslayer, even though they both function identically to Mages in this specific sense--while Warriors and Experts lack similarly interesting bits and bobs to tweak to taste. I think gameplay would be a lot more interesting if they did have such features though, tailored to their own archetypal styles.
I don't have any fully developed approach on how to implement such a thing wholesale, as I simply haven't had the time to invest in playing with it, just random musings. But some simpler brushstroke ideas, for example, would be something like the following, alongside removing Duelist and redistributing its Arts:
Warrior with Arts (rough sketch)

• Base Attack: As normal (Partial has reduced rate, as normal).
• Hit Points: As normal.
• Warrior Effort: Equal to choice of Punch, Stab, or Shoot plus STR Modifier or DEX Modifier.
• Arts: At Level 1, gain Veteran's Luck and Any One. Partial Warriors get less Arts total vs Full Warriors.
  • Berserker Rage: On Turn, Commit Effort for the Scene, gain bonus HP/Attack based on Stab, must act to kill targets during turn, end effect with a Mental Save. Maybe some kind of Strain interaction.
  • Veteran's Luck: As normal, but usage is Commit Effort for Day instead of 1x/Scene
  • Killing Blow: Passive, add +1/2 Level to Damage Rolls, rounded up.
  • Corpse Piler: Commit Effort for Day when attacking to target multiple foes with the same attack; one roll resolution, 1 Effort per additional target.
  • Forced Engagement: As Duelist Art

Expert Arts (super rough sketch)
Expert, by its very nature, is so broad that distinct Arts suitable for its many concepts are a tough task, but for something akin to the usual "Rogue", we could assimilate certain Duelist Arts.
Expert Effort: Equal to skill of choice + ATT Modifier of choice.
Arts: At Level 1, gain Masterful Expertise and Any One. Partial Experts get less Arts total vs Full Experts.

• Masterful Expertise: As normal, but usage is Commit Effort for Day instead of 1x/Scene
• Dodge Doom: As Duelist Art
• Unbindable: As Duelist Art
• Dauntless Step: As Duelist Art
• Other Ideas: Maybe Arts specific to crafting and other niches. I'm thinking several sets of ~2-5 Arts suitable to different spheres of Expert interest: crafting, social, subterfuge, etc. See Skillful Writs in Deluxe under Legates for something to tweak from.

Something like the above would unify the functional designs of all Classes, bringing Warriors and Experts onboard with what I believe is the most mechanically interesting feature of WWN: Arts and Effort. As it stands currently, these two Classes are the only Classes without either.

so for context, i (18f) am bisexual and definitely have a preference for women and my boyfriend (19m) is 100% aware of this and respects it. this will make sense later i swear; so let's call my boyfriend bob to make this easier. bob has only ever been in one serious relationship before this one, they apparently were quite "toxic" and were on and off for 3ish years.
me and bob have been dating for just over a year and it's been great. besides him getting mad over me and multiple female friends getting in our male friends car to get from point A-B or to simply go for a drive since we live in a pretty small town. mind you, these aren't just random male friends -they're 2 people we have known way before i knew my boyfriend existed and we have never flirted or had any romantic connection in any way. i never thought anything was wrong with this until bob said it made him uncomfortable that other men were driving me around (he also didn't have a license at the time)
as he's always treated me well and i respect him, i stopped going out for rides with these guys and continued with going out on the weekends with the girls. but almost every time he would pick a guy or two that went to the function and ask me a million questions about them and act as if i was interested or if the guy was around me. what really annoys me about this is that he knows i am pretty easily 'off-put' by most men and my preference for women. the amount of men he has told me to remove as followers etc… even my plug😭
he has NEVER raised even the slightest suspicion about girls im around or new female friends i make, but any new male he gets super uptight about. i have never cheated on him let alone anyone and I've actually been cheated on in the past, so i know the pain and i could never do that to someone which bob is also aware of.
i don't use snapchat, i barely post on socials, this is actually my first post here (yay??) and id let him sift through my phone if he asked. despite this, he looked through my phone one night after i was knocked out from a 10 hour shift and all he found was personal messages from my two (17f, 18f) best friends. i was super upset about this but let it go eventually. now, i felt really bad for doing this; a few (maybe 3) months later i couldn't sleep and was watching netflix on my laptop and his phone charging next to me started ringing about 2 calls before i picked up and it was just bobs (19m) best friend wanting something from bob. i let the best friend know he was asleep and that i'd get bob to call in the morning.
instead of switching his phone off, i started looking through the almost 300 friends he had added on facebook. i found his ex, PLENTY (mostly) females and got so upset. since he still had his ex added i got suspicious and looked through his notes where he has a list made WHEN DATING ME with a code of the nsfw activities he's done and with who. it was disgusting and my name was of course in there.
then, recently he "didn't plan" to run into these two females with his mate who has a crush on one. apparently the 4 of them sat in a park together and "talked" and when telling me about it said "don't be mad" when these are random girls he barely knows and i've cut off males i've been friends with since middle school.

I have made a post regarding ideas that fall on the ridiculous/silly side of the tone scale, and I have made a post regarding the exact side that has nothing but serious stories, so now, the compromise.
Basically, this just means that the AU idea is neither too serious nor too silly: it’s 50/50 on both, though yes, the story can tilt to the other side other time, which I highly advise looking up the term Cerberus Syndrome for.

Other than that, same as with the darkest and ridiculous AU ideas post, meaning just state the basic idea, and even give it a name if you want.
However, I will state this: there is a key difference between an AU and an alternate continuity, alternate timeline, and what-if scenario, that being scale of impact. In order, what-if scenarios are the most limited in their impact and don’t even get a place next to the podium, much less receive a medal, alternate timelines get the bronze medal, alternate continuities get the sliver medal, and alternate universes stand on the top of the podium at first place wearing the gold medal.
I’ll state my idea first to try and provide an example. My idea, currently named For Want Of A Nail, Mario, which I only recently started on regarding the planning phase because I actually have a decent liking for the idea, which is an alternate universe where the basic idea is that Mario’s character development from the Waluigi Arc and onwards sticks without him going back at all, with the same applying to other characters who underwent character development/growth. However, the elements of using fan fiction to fix things I don’t like is kept as minimal as possible, mostly just involving rerailing character personalities to having more than one-trait (example: Bob actually becomes humbler after the Rapper Bob arc) like they do now, removing episodes or post-Anime story arcs, and also just throwing whatever at the wall and seeing what stuck, which if anyone asks about what stuck? Er… you’ll see.

Hey guys so my friend and I are playing bobs and Angels factorio, we are currently at green potion. The thing is our power was running low at 65MW/74MW so I was thinking of making 16 fluid heat sources for a total of 216 MW. The map also has a shortage of "safe" coal. (I messed up and the bitters are overpowered)
So I can't burn crude oil since 1000% pollution I was thinking of making fuel oil from farming since its renewable. I need about 350 fuel oil but am going to make 600 just cause I can.
There are two recipes the first one is farming binafran converting it to beans then making nutrient pulp and from that fuel oil and glycerol. (Glycerol seems useless apart from explosives) The other one is farming eliandrome converting it to nuts then vegetable oil and then fuel oil and mineral oil.
At full capacity it produces 260 mineral oil a second and at use capacity (216 MW) it will produce 150 mineral oil. What exactly do I do with so much mineral oil. Also is it possible to burn it in a flare stack of there is too much excess?

At kilby block party yesterday and I had to run back to my hotel after GBV’s set and before LCD Soundsystem. Lo and behold, as I’m heading back to the party, I’m walking out of my hotel and I see a guy talking to the hotel’s valet…a guy with the unmistakable hair of one Bob Pollard. I’m not someone who approaches artists, I can count the number of times on half of one hand in multiple decades, but this seemed like an ok moment to shake the hand of the guy whose band has meant a ton to this son-of-Ohio over 25 years of my life. And so I did and he was the absolute kindest, most sincere guy a fan could ask for. I did ask for a selfie after telling him how much I loved his music and nervously blathered on about my time in Cleveland, Kent state, other Ohio things, and general gushing fan-like topics and he was sincerely cool about all of it. The whole experience absolutely made my weekend and I’ll be eternally grateful for it. And what’s also incredibly telling I feel is that after talking with Bob, I went and sat on the bench to wait for my Lyft back to the party and the valet, unprompted and with whom I never interacted as I did not have a car with the hotel, came over after seeing me talking with the frontman-extraordinaire and shared his own experience, essentially saying he’d seen a lot of celebrities come through his workplace and it wasn’t uncommon for them to be, let’s just say standoffish -which I am not not understanding of I want to say given the situation they’re often in - but not, “that guy…[Bob] stood out as being just a genuine nice dude.” Here here! Thanks for being a real one, Bob, and for crushing Kilby. Perhaps I’ll see you at the Grog Shop for my birthday like we discussed.

Does anyone think there is a chance that after Clark did those phone calls he instantly regretted it, maybe drowned himself in vodka (Clark water) and called Dan the next day apologizing and telling Dan he was “manipulated by Flexburger” to make the call. Idk something tells me Clarks addiction to Dan might be on par with his addiction to narcotics and booze.
