2024.05.14 23:53 Bassist_123 Hot "finished" crawl space

I purchased a house in suburban Houston last year and there is a large crawl space room through one of the upstairs closets. This storage room is directly above my bedroom and has sheet rock on the walls and ceiling, so no direct exposed roof.
My issue is that the sun heats up this room tremendously which also causes my bedroom to get warm and be much warmer than the rest of the house in the summer.
I am unsure if there is insulation behind the ceiling sheet rock, but there is none on the floor because this room is used for storage.
Basically I'm trying to see what the best options are. Should I install an attic fan through the finished ceiling? Pull down the Sheetrock and insulate if needed? Insulate the floor of the storage above my room? All 3?
It's seems like a strange design and this room must have been capturing heat and making the primary room warm for decades.

2024.05.14 23:49 ExpensiveLink5553 Transitions?

Hey guys I have an interesting situation here. My company was subbed out through a designer to install some wool carpet in a house. Typically no problem at all. This stuff however was not normal and around a quarter inch thick. It was an all natural fiber with zero backing, just stitch and latex. The customer was concerned with the height difference so I was told by my boss to turn and tack it. Not my favorite thing in the world and typically It will look fine but this stuff is so thin you can see everything even when you bury the staples.
Info: 5/8 hardwood on top of 1/4 luan=7/8" 3/8 fiber pad with 1/4 inch wool=5/8"
So the difference being a quarter inch. So I overlapped the carpet over the tack strip and had to staple down. The pictures make it look like its bulging more than it is...however I hate it.
What would you have done differently? I said that it needs (most likely) a custom wood transition because the carpet is so thin. Poor choice by the designer all around

2024.05.14 23:48 Mr-Chewy-Biteums Printing on Neckties?

Does anyone here have any experience printing on neckties? I am about to start doing so. I can just start experimenting, but I would love to hear any tips, tricks, stories etc.
I have been screen printing on a small scale for about 25 years, but I have never done so on the types of materials that neckties are typically made of. I do multi-color designs on paper, and small runs of one color T-shirt designs using water-based ink - for myself, to sell at shows & fairs and sometimes for local bands/clubs etc.
Some issues I wonder about:
Will the ink stick to the fabric? The ties I have are mostly polyester, but some silk and blends. Are there additives I may need?
I just use an iron for curing now. It's fine on cotton & blend T-shirts, but I am concerned about the ties since they are more delicate. How do I get the ink up to the ~320 degrees without damaging the fabric? (I did just acquire an old HIX heat press, but it is waiting on a replacement gas spring)
Do I even need to worry about curing? Neckties don't typically get washed.

Thank you

2024.05.14 23:39 MJMiner Weapon overhaul

As a veteran of HD1 and the first galactic war I am absolutely appalled at the state of the game’s current arsenal. There are some fun and unique weapons here and there but most of them just feel redundant or terrible. Nowhere is this more visible that the AR, SMG, and DMR lineup. Here is a rework I’m proposing to high command ti ensure we are given proper tools to ensure the safety and spread of managed democracy.
Gun Rebalance and additions ARs Class Role: Rifles are designed to put holes through targets, and they need to reflect this role better. All rifles with Light penetration have been upgraded to be Light armor defeating. This means that while weapons with Light AP will damage light armor, they won’t always fully damage it. While rifles with light armor defeating fully negate light armor and deal full damage to it.
Liberator, 65DMG, Excellent ergonomics, the best weapon for firing on the move, +1 mag Role: Extremely easy to control and ideal for new players or veterans looking for something reliable. Capable of 45/45/4.5/ delivering 45 rounds at 45 meters in 4.5 seconds on target with no effort. Lore: High command has started production on upgrade kits for our standard rifles to improve it’s handling. Liberators now come with a vertical foregrip and a new muzzle brake to better control the weapon.
AP Liberator, 70 DMG, +5 rounds, Slower reload, 23 recoil, bad ergonomics, Uses AR scope Role: This Frankenstein of a gun is not for new players, uncomfortable recoil, and unfriendly handling in exchange for uncompromising stopping power. Terrible when firing on the move, with significant muzzle climb. But it provides rapid armor-piercing fire to those who can control it. Lore: The Penetrator started its life as a converted liberator modified to better penetrate armor. However there was no standard for how this would be achieved, so the conversion differs from regiment to regiment. Typically it involved sawing off a diligence barrel and converting it into a squeeze bore to increase velocity at the cost of terminal ballistics without using new ammunition. High Command has now realized the potential usefulness of a standardized conversion for its service rifle. Fabricator schematics have been published for new components and manuals for a consistent conversion. As part of project Ironbreaker, an initiative to outfit soldiers with better AP weapons, Production has begun on a variety of new ammo for the weapon which is much more powerful. The new 5.77mm Talon round generates 3x more chamber pressure than the liberator. The weapon itself has a new chamber and a properly machined barrel, made from surplus diligence rifles. The new AP liberator is also outfitted with a standard rifle optic, Punisher pump grip for a vertical grip, 35 round magazine, and a grey and red color scheme to denote its new changes.
Adjudicator, 90-100 DMG, 720 RPM, 30 recoil, Burst fire, uses the DMR scope Role: Battle rifle, Ideal for long-range combat, Semi-auto for small targets or precise shooting, Burst fire for large targets or close combat. Sluggish ergonomics but surprisingly controllable. Lore: Designed to replace liberator rifles on specific fronts where armored enemies are more common, the adjudicator was met with mixed success. The weapon proved to be reliable, powerful, and accurate but failed to fully replace the liberator in an assault rifle capacity. However, the 17th Helldivers regiment came up with a brilliantly effective modification. The outfitted the weapon with a reciprocating barrel shroud and a burst fire mode to turn the rifle into a long-range killing machine. With a surplus of Adjucator parts piling up from the weapon’s failure, High command has made this modification the new factory standard for all Adjucator rifles. The added weight and complexity in exchange for what has been reported as a 50% increase in accuracy seemed to be a fair trade.
Tenderizer, 840RPM, 75-round drum, 12 recoil, 4 mags, Terrible reload, Okay moving accuracy Role: IAR, ideal for laying down sustained fire on targets, can mow down multiple targets quickly. Low magazine count and high RoF make this weapon prone to running out of ammo. Lore: A new development to supplant the more expensive and time-consuming liberator rifles for SEAF army troopers, the Tenderizer was an unwelcome addition. It was heavier, bulkier, and awkward to handle. However, the increased bulk made it easy to control during sustained fire and it was very reliable under this strain. Troops began jury rigging drum magazines to use it as light machine guns. With a sizeable surplus of the liberator’s 5.77mm ammo, High Command began testing a designated IAR (Infantry Automatic Rifle) variant for helldivers use. This variant was an instant success providing individual hell divers with team-level firepower in a rifle-sized package.
Blackout(New), 85DMG, 420RPM, 24 round mag, 8 mags, superb moving accuracy, Silenced Role: Ideal for stealthy missions, the blackout deals very high damage at close range, while enabling the user to remain undetected from nearby patrols. Not effective vs armor Lore: Developed for Blackguard operatives, the Blackout is an integrally suppressed rifle created in response to the rising automaton threat. Veterans of Maevelon Creek petitioned High command to develop a new rifle, able to quietly eliminate bots while still being effective against devestators.
Yari(New), 45DMG, 1400RPM burst, 900RPM salvo, 36 Round magazine, 10 mags, AP Role: Prototype rifle with lightweight Sabot ammunition, fires a 3-round hyperburst and a 6-round salvo. Exceptional ammo efficiency and power at range lacks close combat ability.
DMRs(Classwide rework) Role: DMRs are designed to put rounds where rounds need to go while also being able to be used alongside assault rifles in a firefight. In Helldivers DMRs take an unconventional role of being viable against light target while alos enabling the user to defeat larger enemies like devestators and bile spewers at long range. To start, DMRs have a new bonus, DMRs deal +75% extra weak point damage (Headshots) and deal 10% more damage per point of AP they have over the target region. So they do extra damage if they hit the soft unarmored bits as well as on headshots. They also receive 50% less recoil while prone to better provide accuracy at range. DMRs are for the methodical sharpshooter who prefers to pick off targets at a distance instead of charging in, rewarding careful positioning and shot placement with heaps of dead foes.
Diligence, 120-140 DMG, 22 Round mag, 30 recoil, 8 mags, Full auto mode, Silenced Role: Starter DMR that delivers high damage at long range while keeping the user concealed. Silencer isn’t as effective at close range, but great for staying hidden during firefights. Lore: High command has witnessed the substantial failures of their DMRs and has issued a complete recall of the weapon. A brand new receiver and chamber system has increased its muzzle velocity by 500 feet per second, greatly increasing lethality.
Diligence CS, 175-200DMG, 18-round mag, 6 mags, Staggers on full damage hit, Thermal optic Role: This more demanding variant of Diligence rewards more precise shooting with higher damage. It is better at stopping large targets but is less effective at picking off enemies. Lore: as part of the Ironbreaker initiative, many weapons are being issued new nitro ammunition. The diligence CS has undergone a more extensive upgrade. A new barrel and chamber designed to maximize lethality with the new ammo has greatly increased stopping power. The CS can stop devastators, bile spewers, berserkers, and similar targets with just a few hits. It has also been outfitted with a thermal sight to see through fog, sand, gas, and smoke.
Retribution(New), 275 DMG, 8 Round mag, Bolt action, Rounds reload, Silenced, AP Role: Longest range DMR, remarkably quiet and powerful, ideal for dropping large targets and protecting teammates from range.
Wyvern(New), 110DMG, 360 RPM, 26 Round magazine, 8 Mags, AP, Full Auto capable Role: Assault DMR, designed to be used aggressively at close range while permitting the user to provide long-range support.
SMGs (Classwide rework) Role: SMGs put holes in targets, not through them. SMGs have been largely replaced by Rifles in modern warfare, the same should apply to Helldivers. This shouldn’t make the useless, but instead good at different things. SMGs should be suited to personal defense and reliability under a wider variety of circumstances than rifles. SMGs have classwide damage nerf to reflect their lower caliber and have very noticeable damage falloff. However, they get a buff in every other area, with the most notable being that each SMG carries 12 mags instead of 8. SMGs are still capable of dropping larger targets with one mag, and with their lower recoil, they can reliably do so. But are now better suited to protecting the user from groups of weaker enemies.
Defender, 40 DMG, 720 RPM, 5 recoil, 12 Mags, Lightning fast reload Role: User-friendly and economical weapon, very easy to use. Less power than assault rifles but puts rounds where they need to be. Lore: The original Defender SMG was actually a failure, being prohibitively expensive to produce both the weapon and its ammo. Although it was a very popular weapon during peacetime, the demands of the war have made the defender a rare sight. To ensure that SEAF forces had a reliable weapon for CQC, the Defender A2 has been put into production. High command has changed its standard handgun cartridge from the .43 Hawk Tungsten core AP round to the cheaper 8mm FMJ round. The new defenders have an increased rate of fire and are more controllable but lacks the stopping power of the original.
Knight, 35 Damage, 900RPM Full auto, 1300rpm burst, 8 Recoil, 12 mags Role: PDW, Delivers a torrent of rounds quickly and accurately. Burst fire is ideal for mid-range enemies, full auto puts down groups of lightly armored enemies. Lore: The A4 knight variant features an electrically operated feed instead of a gas-operated one. This has enabled the weapon to fire at a more controllable rate in full auto while preserving medium-range accuracy with a 1300rpm hyperburst. It has also been outfitted with a less powerful round that is lighter and more economical, improving total ammo carried and recoil control at the cost of stopping power.
Shinobi(New) 50 DMG, 540RPM, 25 Round mag, Silenced Role: Spec-ops SMG for quietly dispatching groups of unarmored enemies. Less effective than other options in a firefight but perfect for sneaking around
Sweeper(New) 40 DMG, 800RPM, 80 Round drum, 8 mags, terrible ergonomics Role: Space Tommy gun, this weapon is designed to put as many rounds as possible down range as fast as possible, where said rounds land is irrelevant. Ammo hungry but very mobile.
I am aware these changes are extensive and won’t likely be implemented. I don’t believe that every weapon should be OP or god tier, but they should all have some niche where they really excel. Have a nice day and good luck Helldivers.

Chapter 2: A Tale of Historians
Memory transcript: Tyka, Farsul junior archivist
Date: August 2275 local [human time]
Time: 22:30 [time of late Meals and rest]
Tyka let out a disheartened sigh, the world below them, once vibrant and beautiful, even if its sole sapient species were predators, leaf-eating ones but still predators, made his heart sink to see it in such a grave state.
Tyka was never one who could understand how Exterminators could find any kind of joy in the purging of life, no matter how tainted it was.
“those poor beings….”
He placed a paw onto the viewer his shoulders slumping as he watched the Grey marble spinning in the inky black void
“Something wrong Young archivist”
An older feminine voice says making their way Into the observation bay of the large science and collection vessel, Tokana upon realizing who the voice belongs to jumped
“O-Officer Netly, I apologize if it seems I was...meandering, I just….”
He looks back over to the tumbling grey-blue marble
“Ah, Earth. I understand your apprehension, but there is no sentient life existing now, it's a barren dead wasteland, you know why we are here now”
She says arms behind her as she moves up beside the young pup
“I know officer Netly it's just….I've studied humans so much and despite the aggression they had they were also so….fascinating, the fact they developed so fast And even accepted in certain technologies despite being predators….”
He said marveling as Netly suddenly interjected
“Their accomplishment didn't stop them from destroying themselves in the end, nothing could have survived that kind of prolonged nuclear strike with their technological level”
Before Tyka could dejectedly admit that point there was a ship-wide broadcast to all archivists, scientists, and security onboard
Life has been found on earth
It was human life.
Memory transcript: Abigail Nelson
Date: August 21st 2277
Local Ship time 00:00 [time of early light]
Abigail stirred from her daze, what had happened, she could barely remember, the attendee, the crater, the light!
“Dogmeat!”
She screamed out jumping up as he cellmate grabbed her to stop her
“Woah woah easy, there not here you can calm down”
The female voice said, Abigail panted and started to tear up a bit
“N-no, dog meat…. his…he's my dog he was with me when we got….where are we?”
The hardened wasteland features on the woman who now held Abigail softened with pity at the young girl
“I don't know where your dog is, I haven't seen them with any kind of animal, besides us anyway, how are you feeling kiddo?”
she asked as Abigail tried to wipe her eyes and coughed
“Im…I'm fine, I just….ah cheese and crackers I'm sorry”
She says gingerly leaving the wasteland embrace
“I'm uh…Abby…Abigail Nelson”
She says as the waster seems a bit off and then notices her pip-boy
“You a vault dweller? How'd they scoop your blue-suited ass up?”
Abigail blinked a bit and looked at her device
“OH right, I was topside….my Dad left our vault to pursue Something he was working on, project purity?”
She says that made her cellmate's eyes widen in realization
“Your James kid?”
Abigail Was now the one to balk, she simply couldn't believe there was ANOTHER person who knew her father
“How do you know my dad? Are you brotherhood?”
She asked as the waster stepped back
“Well I am, but I didn't know him personally I was only an initiate when he was working on it, names Somah”
She was now the one who extended her hand which Abigail took
“So are a knight? Paladin?”
“Field scribe”
Somah said which made Abigail blink a bit
“Field scribe? I know scribes but I've never heard of a field scribe”
Abigail said as Somah chuckled
“That's because it's a position rowdy Scribes get to drain their energy and enthusiasm, typically scribes are supposed to grow out of it but I've been a field scribe for a good while now, trying to make Lyons make a new rank for me, elder field scribe”
She joked making Abigail Chuckle a bit
“Well, then miss scribe… where Are we?”
Somah sighed a bit, rubbing her neck before moving it over to her face and chin, pondering how to explain their predicament
“How to explain it…..I know we've been abducted but the tech is like something I haven't seen….the bars are steel but there is a photonic barrier more advanced than even the few bits of prewar examples I've gotten to fiddle with, plus that little levitation Trick they pulled on me when I was trying to hide from some muties out in the edge of dc….then my radio got this…weird signal”
She said as Abigail's eyes widened
“My pip-boy did the same, I got this weird signal which led me to an antenna In the ground…..wait…”
Abigail Pinched her nose and let out a sigh
“Did we get abducted by….by aliens?!”
Somah let out a humorless chuckle
“Seems like it, as unlikely as it is….I'm still trying to understand how that's even possible”
Somah said while tracing a finger against the seamless white material that made their cell
“While also marveling at real alien design and technology….its….all so much to process”
She says enraptured with it all as the two talked, a distinct sound of the force field barrier turning off as a tray of food was pushed through With a metal pole, and the wall of light reasserted itself
Abigail timidly picked up the meal…it looked like….vegetables, they smelled like them too, but not like wasteland veggies, what few she'd seen but actual clean veggies
“Alien greens, for some reason it's all they'll give us, probably to keep us weaker, easier to grab”
She says snagging an alien carrot off the tray as Abigail looks at her with a mix of confusion and worry
“Grab us?”
She asks as the whirling of machinery is heard suddenly Abigail looks up only now realizing the roof of their cell is open
“Hug the wall!”
Somah shouted as she pushed Abigail against it making her top the tray as the two hugged the lip, Abigail watching as what looked like a man in a Grey military uniform was carried across the roof with a giant metal claw or arm carrying him
“Okay where good for now….poor bastard”
Somah Sighed as Abigail blinked
“We have to get out of here”
She said as Somah put a finger to her lips
“Ssh they can hear shit like that, be quiet”
The scribe said as she looked around
“Look I have a plan already and I've been waiting for someone to be dropped in here with me….I've done this once before and it worked but we got caught after, so if we do this we have to be quick”

writing these is something im enjoying so far! as usual ask me whatever you want about it and ill try to respond, the next upload will be a mini chapter so stay tuned!

2024.05.14 23:27 wdd70 Most accurate way to assess risk vs reward within a trading system

I have a forex trading system that trades a basket of currency pairs. Each pair has a unique risk associated to it, based primarily on a ratio of profit / risk, where both values are expressed in dollars ($).
Not all trades taken by this system are equal. In general, higher risk equates to higher reward. Some trades experience relatively higher drawdowns than others, and typically these trades yield greater profit as a result. Some pairs, however, seem to yield less profit for the amount of risk assumed. And finally, some pairs experience large drawdowns more frequently than others.
Given this variability, I believe a simple ratio of total profit / total risk, applied on a pair by pair basis, can become more accurate by weighting it with either magnitude of risk on trades in excess of a given threshold (e.g. standard deviation from the mean), or frequency of trades taken by a pair that experience drawdowns in excess this threshold, or perhaps some combination thereof.
I'm a trader, not a mathematician, and am hopeful to gain feedback on these ideas from this community. Specifically, whether the notion of weighting a risk / reward ratio in the manner described makes sense and, if so, what you can suggest towards that end.
I have attached a Google Sheet in which I've started some of these calculations. I have shared it in the event that seeing the dataset helps clarify what I've described. I'm not looking for guidance on Google Sheet functions -- just want to include this caveat, given the focus of this group.
Column X has a figure labeled 'Risk Factor'. This ultimately is the weighted metric I seek to create. I do not think the current approach to generating this value is correct, but again share to help clarify my goal.
Thank you

2024.05.14 23:24 cue_the_strings Optimal inventory management with KiCad integration (Inventree, Ki-nTree, ...)

Hi everyone, I'd like to talk about a rather serious subject when integrating KiCad with inventory management tools like Inventree.
First, let me present the parts of the system.
One of such inventory tools is Inventree, there are other tools as well (Part-DB, PartKeepr). If you think some other tool works better, please suggest it. I'm not invested in Inventree, it just seeed like the most complete solution.
The point of such tools is to keep an inventory of components you're stocking, allowing you to add components to your stock when you buy them from the suppliers, and remove them when you build and sell your boards.
One of the functionalities is obviously exporting you BOMs from KiCad and importing them into Inventree (https://github.com/clj/kinventree-bom) as parts (which can be organized into larger parts, like whole products), so you can track how many you can build with the current stock, order new stock to build x parts, etc.
The rest of the process is, of course, obtaining schematic symbols and footprints (drawing or generating them as last resort), putting them into your local lib along with all the pre-requisite data that allows Inventree to identify them on BOM import, and allows you to actually draw the schematics and lay out the PCBs. I'm guessing everybody likes building their little library of components and reusing them in their designs if possible, and it also makes sense from the inventory standpoint.
Ki-nTree (which I contributed to) handles a part of that process, but not in a very optimal way for non-trivial (non-C/L) components. To obtain symbols and footprints of non-trivial parts (non-C/L), you can use SnapEDA, UltraLibrarian, with impartGui doing the actual library import.
Now, the issues
Not all kinds of parts are treated the same: there are jellybean parts, semi-jellybean parts and proprietary parts, and I treat each group differently (as do many other users). When using Ki-nTree for import, it gives custom generated names for all of them, but that's not optimal:
Now, Inventree does support the distinction: Part (100n 5% 10VDC X7R cap in 0603) can have multiple Manufacturer parts (Kyocera 0603ZC104JAT4A, Vishay VJ0603Y104JXQCW1BC, ...), which can have multiple suppliers (LCSC, Mouser, ...). It then makes sense to call that part something like CAP-CER-100n-T5-10VDC-X7R-SMD0603, and use it like that in both KiCad, and in Inventree. The TL072 can be called IC-TL072-SO8, and can also have multiple manufacturer parts. STM32F405RG can be IC-STM32F405RG-LQFP64. I could create all of these things by myself in Inventree, then add them to KiCad in my own library, but it's so much work. Not to mention adding manufacturer parts from the suppliers, a nightmare. Something like Ki-nTree would work if it could support naming like this, but currently it really doesn't.
What's also important on the KiCad side is that the part needs some sort of Inventree-identification field (so that Inventree can import the BOM), and it needs its Datasheet field to be populated; a link to the Inventree part would be nice. It'd be awesome if Ki-nTree or Inventree could get the datasheet and save them into the parts as attachments, and then use that link instead of the online link for the KiCad part. Ki-nTree already gets images from the providers. I could start modifying Ki-nTree to do this all, or writing a from-scratch little CLI solution, but I'd love to know if someone else does this in some smarter and already existing way.
There's this inventree_kicad Inventree plugin which allows you to use the HTTP lib interface in KiCAD, but I'm not sure how that fits in w/ this whole model.
Questions
Are my assumptions here wrong? Is there a more sensible workflow?
If this workflow does make sense, are there tools facilitating it that I don't know of? How do you do it?
Another part that I didn't mention is updating the supplier pricing in Inventree: how do you update prices?

2024.05.14 23:22 lleeaa88 What size rear filters does this lens take?

Can someone please answer this or at least direct me to what to do.
I have this lens (AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED) and I've looked all over the internet to see what size the rear filter slot is and there is nothing, not even on Nikon's site. Is this just a standard Nikon F rear gel size? Or am I expected to cut my own to size from gel sheets?

I've gone through two laptops in my so far 3 years of college which is ridiculous. 1 was a HP 360x Spectre & another was an ASUS Zenbook. While the Zenbook had next to no problems & got the job done up until it died, I hated it's look, & the fact I could no longer game on it. I major in graphic design & I'd love recommendations for a slim powerful laptop with similar specs to the Spectre. I'm hesitant on getting another HP just cause my experience with it was so awful. I dont particularly like Apple products either, but I'm open to convincing, if it can actually last without extensive trouble. Any advice?

2024.05.14 23:19 DaxVox Isaac evolved a anti-Marker influence out of spite.

This is just my theory, having just played through all the games and the remake. I think that certain people, when exposed to the marker, develope an Anti-Marker influence that can spread to people around them. And I think this is shown repeatedly in the games.
They have to fulfill a certain set of criteria first, but I believe we can observe multiple characters that fulfill these requirements.
They have to be people chosen by the marker to create a new marker, they have to be mentally capable enough to combat the madness influenced by the markers (even if its short term and they recover elsewhere), they have to be distrusting in nature, and Im almost certain there is a DNA component to it as well.
So if a person chosen by the marker (to make more markers) is able to fight off the madness and escape a marker, they seem to build up a resistance to it. Not only that, but possibly through themselves spread a anti-marker influence psychically to others they retain close contact with. I think it might have to do with that initial person's responsiveness to things like addictions and trauma.
So in the story, case in point, we see Isaac go through the typical experience of someone chosen to be a marker maker. He is kept relatively sane, the symbols burned into his brain over time and repeat exposure to marker signals and necromorphs, while trying to recombine the marker with its pedestal in one. In that game, he is not special besides being chosen and having an outsider interfere with the markers plan (in the normal ending of the game, trying to get the secret ending in the remake now.) (By the way, for me it is obvious by the creators that they wanted to rewrite the story of 1 in the remake to be as lore accurate as possible to show the changes to Isaac over time.)
So after 1, Isaac has tried to help make a marker and fails, and escapes. Then he is picked up by earthgov and spends 3 years alternating between cryosleep and "therapy" to clean up his brain and get the marker design out of him. After that, in the game he practically speedruns therapy and the grieving process and is able to fight off the marker and destroy it, which I think is the final step towards becoming completely immune to the markers brainwashing.
And I believe this effect is transferable through a few means, (intimate partners, friendship, spit/blood exchange in living humans, possibly through pheromones or sweat touch), as it seems Ellie is completely immune to marker effects, and Carter gets more and more resistant to the markers while being in contact with Isaac.
Its quite possible that human DNA had anti-marker properties influenced by the aliens of 3's world, with this intention in mind, to create a species that could fight back against the Brethren Moons.
Theres also a clear escalation throughout the games that indicate that Isaac could possibly defeat the Brethren Moons. He defeats an aborted moon in 1, then destroys his own marker in 2, then defeats a quasi moon in 3, and with the ending of 3, he should be able to kill a full on brethren moon in the next installment, and possibly wipe out the entire hive mind through killing one.
I dunno, just a theory

Hi everyone, I'd like to talk about a rather serious subject when integrating KiCad with inventory management tools like Inventree.
First, let me present the parts of the system.

2024.05.14 23:16 S1eeper What are your Balance Druid Eclipse rework ideas?

Balance Druid's Eclipse mechanic feels boring and clunky. You have to hard-cast 2x Wrath and 2x Starfire to activate Lunar and Solar Eclipse respectively, which buff Starfire and Wrath by a lot, and Arcane and Nature spells by a little, for 15s. The Eclipse buff isn't dynamic, doesn't stack, and can't be extended or refreshed in any way. Every 15 seconds you have to 2x hard cast to restart it again.
What if it worked like this instead:
There are multiple options for Astral power generation in the Balance tree with different tradeoffs, so there should be some build diversity for this. This, or something like it, seems more natural and dynamic, since you're constantly thinking about maximizing the Eclipse buff, and getting into a flowstate around that objective, instead of just passively waiting to recast it every 15s.
I'm curious what other ideas people have for Balance. Overall it's a fun spec, but the current Eclipse implementation just feels so outdated and clunky. Surely there are better ways it could work in modern wow.

Knowing what a car tracking device looks like is good, but if you believe a hidden GPS is on your car or truck then you will need to inspect the exterior of the automobile or seek professional help to locate the GPS black box.
