First time poster, long time lurker.
Anyway, so I moved into a new apartment in March that is of course roach infested- there was no sightings of roaches for the first month or so we lived here, until we went out of town for a weekend (about 2 1/2 weeks ago) and came back to a dead roach on the counter with no other signs of them being in the apartment. A few days after the first sighting I saw another dead one on the ground- immediately after sightings I’ve deep cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom, everything is placed in airtight containers, and no food is left on the counters/crumbs on the floor. Pest control came to spray Wednesday of last week and was let known that there hasn’t been any signs of recent activity as seen in the cabinets and sticky traps we placed and that he would spray if we saw anymore he’d come back-
Anyway- sorry for the longish background story; here’s my question: Is this normal to not see any other than the two dead ones? Maybe stragglers from other apartments coming to check ours out? I’m doing everything I can to keep them uninterested in our unit.
I know when there is one, there’s a hundred more. It just is odd to me not to see more than the two I’ve found so far. 😐

First off don't do drugs. Definitely don't do addictive drugs. Nobody thinks they'll become an addict and be careful with alcohol. Don't smoke pot til college at least. Psychedelics can be useful but are often abused and should wait til college at least
The sober test was done a short time after I started smoking and drinking and to determine whether I needed resource education in HS. In 8th grade I elected to do resource education because I did it in 3rd grade but mostly because a couple girls I liked and a good friend were in the class. It was also fun. Because of the stigma associated with resource in HS I didn't wanna take it.

Recently in college I have become friends with a girl who has a boyfriend. Her boyfriend is not in the same college so he’s not around when I’m with her. I am completely mad about this girl she’s funny, attractive and a great human being.
I want to hear peoples opinions on if she likes me romantically. First of all I would never try anything and neither would she while she is still with her boyfriend. Getting that out of the way, I have noticed things she does/says to me that she doesn’t really do to her other male friends. She laughs at just about everything I say, she tells me I’m so funny and so smart and I always feel we have chemistry whenever we talk.
After an exam one day I was waiting outside for 2 guy friends, she comes out of the exam hall before them and we started chatting. Before you know it half an hour went by and it wasn’t awkward once. We literally were standing outside against a wall talking for ages. Time feels like it flys by when I’m with her.
On nights out I have noticed particular things as well. One night I was with her and our other guy friend and I went up to the bar to get drinks and when I come back she was using my jumper as a pillow. I do find on nights out if I leave my phone or wallet on the table she does always pick them up and go “at them” doing harmless things like sticking stuff on my phone case or taking a 100 selfies on my phone etc. Keep in mind she does none of this with our other friends.
She’s not a big into like physical touch, but I remember I hadn’t seen her in a while and she gave me a big drunkenly hug when I saw her and didn’t hug our other mutual guy friend.
Look maybe I’m looking too deep into this and hoping there’s something there that there isn’t. Maybe she just thinks I’m a great friend? I would like to hear your guys opinions.
Also I’m cool with her bf, we are friendly.

OK, here’s a quick review of the Boston show and what happened in case it’s helpful for the rest of you who were looking for live events
First, the doors were at 6:30 although the entire show didn’t start till about 7:40 because it took over an hour for the entire line to get into the venue. ( I’m not mad at the crew. )
Dan and Jordan were very much hemming it up for the first 15 to 20 minutes, which was really fun. The audience did its best to keep them from feeling nervous. And by the time they started the “real” episode, everyone was quite relaxed.
No spoilers on the content. (except I learned how to talk to tall girls in church, sort of.)
The podcast portion was about an hour.
The vast majority of the audience left pretty much after the podcast part, but about 50 of us stayed and got to meet Dan and Jordan individually. People brought things for them to sign, like a copy of Dune! (Shout out to the raptor princesses)
No one ate bugs or their neighbors’ behind. Five out of five stars would attend again

There are two types of people:

Let me explain this. What most of us do is to tell ourselves all day “ I won’t do it I won’t do it I won’t do it , fuck it I’ll do it” and this happens because of the insane nowadays easy access to p*rn. Literally 4k stuff with Ethernet or 5g , the hottest girls , hundreds of them within seconds. We all have a phone in our pocket or a personal computer, and this is literally like trying to quit smoking with a pack of cigarettes in our pocket the whole time. We are resisting the temptation here, we have TERRIBLE self control, and we will fail over and over again.
But if we completely get rid of the pack of cigarettes in our pocket , guess what. We don’t even have to resist the temptation. It’s all over ! We AVOID the temptation and it makes it way easier to not smoke during the day. Now apply this exact same thing with p*rn.
We can’t live without a PC or our phones, but what we can do is to block p*rn in these devices. I went bananas with this theory and applied it. It worked wonders. I applied a blocker to my pc called qusrodio and got rid of the password. I need an expensive must pay program to delete it. As for my iPhone I set it for blocking adult content and blocked the restrictions code forever , I found a way.
Now I’m afraid I can’t sell my iPhone or make a copy with iTunes, my pc seems fucked, but believe me , as far as the pmo thing goes , I have GREAT self control.
I do fap to imagination from time to time and it doesn’t even motivate me to do it 3 times a day. I am healing. I basically erradicated pron from my life. And I can barely feel that I can go as far as I have never imagined.

I want to put a decent but not over the board audio system in a GMT400 single cab I wanted to use a Rockville Kryptonite M3 amp and a 8” skar sub built into a center console with 2 6.5” apocalypse full range’s for the door speakers my question is I recently saw a video on Rockville for the M3 explaining how to set the crossover but I saw it was only a 2 channel and he was running 2 range speakers and 2 subs so I was wondering could I put 2 speakers on one input for the amp? Or how could I wire it?

Yesterday, a guy in his mid 70s comes in from the local NP center (a new local urgent care staffed solely by mid levels) for an "ankle fracture."
Shows up in a boot with films that show a very, very old medial mal fracture. No injury. No pain medially. All pain is mid substance Achilles. Did I mention no injury?
NP note had no exam and a 2 sentence HPI (4 weeks of spontaneous onset of ankle pain while out of town. Recently completed 5 day steroid burst).
She gave him 125mg of solumedrol in the urgent care and then 80mg of prednisone daily for 5 days. Guy was like -- "I felt great until I ran out of the meds!" No crap, it's called euphoria. Do your adrenals feel like raisins?
Today, another gentleman in his 70s is in for follow up of hip arthritis to see how he's doing with PRN diclofenac. States he saw an NP at the local urgent care who gave him motrin 800mg for his "belly pain." Says she started a workup for a possible hernia.
Low and behold, same NP. HPI is just as sorry as the last guy's. "One week of pain around the belly button." No abdominal exam. No med check. No ROS other than pre populated "No SOB. No headaches".... just a "here, throw 800mg TID on top of your BID diclofenac."

Hello, I am a graduating CS student this year from a university in Manila. I’ve wanted a Cricut for years, and my best friend's bachelorette trip to Montreal was the perfect excuse to finally make the plunge (plus a helpful redditor on this page who alerted me to a super sale on Explore 2 machines that Target had last month!). Since it's in Montreal, I tried to add French touches, with the overall theme being ribbons, pearls, bubbles, etc.
Used Cricut Explore 2 to make the projects in these pictures: Hangover recovery kit, wine charms on tags cut/drawn using Cricut, HTV for custom koozies, letter sign (will punch holes to hang from string), and shadow text monograms on permanent vinyl for personalized pool bags.
I learned a lot on this project through a TON of trial and error on each of these projects, so please feel free to AMA! Materials used below.

I'm looking to replace the grille on my '20 rex. I've had one in mind that I can't find anywhere. Inserted in the grille were 2 driving/fog lights. Any ideas where I might find that OR any other suggestions? I really don't want go the OEM route.

So I made this comment to another person's post recently about her feeling annoyed at the teachestudent relationship in Maxton Hall and that it wasn't being properly addressed as toxic. I agree. But that's hardly my only issue with the show. Because a lot of really young people are into these genres, I feel the need to address these points as someone who's actually lived the Ruby/James storyline, different ways and multiple times. A veteran, one might say. You can take my statements as a grain of salt, or whatever you like, but may those who have ears listen:
Spoilers throughout if someone hasn't finished the season:
This is the thing...I actually find the lead actors cute and super talented even despite this being a genre that I find deplorably predictable and drab. I actually only got invested to improve my German, sadly now I'm actually invested in the characters at this point despite me seeing everything that's going to happen a mile away, because a lot of these writers who may actually be creative but stifle it for the sake of hashing out another "proven to make money" storyline that has been recreated time and time again. Yes, the teachestudent situation is problematic not because they're both consenting individuals who or of age, but because apparently they knew each long before which hints that she would've most likely have been a minor when the relationship took form. Maybe people who have read the books can shed better light on the matter.
Beyond that, my biggest issue with these common bad boy meets good girl trope shows beyond how oversaturated the romance world is with these stories (damn, not even a reversal like good boy meets bad girl), is the very negative expectations they put on real girls out there. These stories fuel the idea that they "can fix him" and even those overly toxic traits he possesses should be downplayed in some way, and even the slightest redeemable qualities he shows should be made out as holy. This is one of the large reasons I hate this genre. For example, despite James's slight transition in S1 (and yes, I'm fully aware that he will most likely continue to change for the better in some ways), to say I think Ruby deserves better is an understatement. Women/girls keep fawning over the swimming pool scene where he saves Ruby, but I was honestly pissed at him for this whole catastrophic scenario and how it unfolded. Firstly, he invited her to this godforsaken hive of scum and villainy of a party despite him knowing full well this is not normally her scene, ignores Ruby's actualized fears of pupils teasing hedisliking her for being with James, and gives her an invitation into the lion's den thinking she'll come out unscathed? For someone who hints at himself having an impressive GPA, I'm not impressed by his lack of logical deduction. When viewed from this perspective, the blame of Ruby getting pushed into the pool and being triggered into a panic attack that nearly got her drowned largely rests on James's shoulders, especially as one of the sole people at that party claiming to "care" about her. Despite this, no open moment from James of reflection of responsibility for what took place there and nothing even remotely resembling an apology not even the following morning of the incident, but rather even gave off the impression that it wasn't even that big of a deal. He sent a text asking if she was doing better (not even the first text the following morning, mind you), and that was the end of that. Not a question or care more before a slew of flirting between the two. Of course, at that point Ruby is already infatuated with him, so it makes little difference. But to someone from the outside looking in, the selfishness and ambivalence is glaringly obvious.
It's an ongoing theme in S1 that apparently getting apologies out of James is like pulling teeth (another highly toxic masculinity trait that we need to stop treating with humor or something "enduring" when interest is involved). I believe I counted him saying it only twice in the last episodes and it was always backed by some sort of excuse "but I did it because I was embarrassed by my parents...sorry, but I can't...my father...etc." In reality he's been needing to give proper apologies since the show began, but the moment he finally formulates the words, it's always accompanied by some excuse? Immaturity. What was the topper on the cake for me and an ultimate red flag (yes, yes...it's fantasy, a show...but in real life, run for the hills), he continues to take decisions that should normally involve both of them, into his own hands and gravely gauging her whims wrongly in these situations. First with the poster of them, then again ending the relationship in order to "protect" her. He's very creative at finding solutions when it's getting back at Ruby for things in the beginning, but now he's just willing to throw in the towel anytime he has to fight for their relationship? Again questioning his logical capabilities and even his intentions at this point. Perhaps it's actually just rooted in him being afraid of commitment after a life of whoring himself out to hush people up or a slew of one night stands which has left him detached? If not, as I suspect it isn't, a form of self-sabotage due to his father's hold on him. I know it's most likely the latter, and as relatable and sad as that may be, this is catastrophic and needs therapy to get resolved. Rose-tinted romance isn't going to fix that (trust me, speaking from experience, girlies). And to make matters worse, I can read the handwriting on the wall from the last episode ending, that James is liable to take matters into his own hands again and hurt Ruby because he keeps trying to decide what HE thinks is best for HER life. I'm not a teen or in my early twenties watching this show, so I tend to view these from a mother hen type of perspective. If you see a guy like James Beaufort, it might be entertaining on TV or film, but in REAL life, run for the hills unless you have written proof he's attending therapy and counselling for his issues and start seeing a difference. My interest in the show is starting to wane after already guessing (like most things in this show and others of its genre) what's coming next season...such as James getting cold feet, taking executive control of their relationship again and bailing...very sure. I don't even need to read the books for that. I've lived this, girlies.
Hopefully, the writers exceed my expectations and do something unexpected. As I said in another post, it wouldn't be the most drastic of plot twists, but make the chauffeur the old flame James's mother was alluded to and have James secretly be his kid, which would give light on why he acts like a father figure (or at least the closest positive one James has) and his passionate defense of James. That would maybe keep me invested and one my toes knowing there are actually all these secrets being unraveled. Okay, anyway, that's my rant on this. That was waaay too long. Bye.

i have 2 pyr puppies, ones 40lbs and the other is 50lbs. We don't know exactly what to feed them. they aren't eating the most nutritious food bc like i said, we dont know whats good to feed them for their age. i dont even know if they should be eating raw meat at this age. so if you have any affordable suggestions, let me know!!

Recently, I was rejected from my top choice of university program. The program I was interested in is considered a "one-way ticket" to medical school (my country doesn't have traditional pre-med programs, but this program is the only one that consistently sends a large amount of students to medical school). I feel like the rejection has left me questioning my entire future and what Allah has planned for me. I try my best to keep faith in Him, but in moments like these, I can't help but feel hopeless. My entire life has been trying to become a doctor. I can't imagine myself in another field. So in being rejected, I don't know whether I should interpret this as a sign from Allah that becoming a doctor isn't for me, or that I will just need to work harder to become a doctor.
I find myself comparing myself to a friend I have. Masha'Allah, she is one of the smartest, most hardworking, and faithful girls I know, and I do not wish her any ill intent when I say this. But I look at her (she consistently is at the top of my class, she is Valedictorian, she is the only person I know who got accepted to my top program) and question if I am meant to be a doctor, because the amount of faith she has in Allah is beautiful and it seems that Allah has only ever pointed her in the direction of becoming a doctor. I obviously don't know her personal situation, but it has always seemed like she's been given clear guidance as to what she is supposed to do for her future. Whereas in my situation, especially after my rejection, I don't know whether that is the case. And what hurts even more is seeing someone get to live out the one thing you've prayed for your entire life.
To summarize, I guess I am just confused and a little frustrated. If being a doctor is not meant for me, why has Allah allowed me to dream about it, to yearn for it, as much as I have? Or am I being too dramatic in assuming that one rejection has dictated that I won't ever become a doctor. I've interpreted it that way because I've instilled it in myself that this university decision would be a major sign from Allah.
This was mostly to vent, but I suppose I'm not sure where I am sitting in regards to my faith or what my future is meant to be.

Anyone update their speakers to the latest FW and use 3rd party apps, specifically Sonophone and Sonospad? Any issues? Or Orto or Lyd for Apple Watch... though those last two already use the cloud API so I imagine they are OK. Sonophone/pad uses the older uPNP API.
Ive only updated one of my phones to 80.0.0.4, but until Queue Management is back I am using Sonophone... my IPad and wifes phone is still the older 16.1 version and until the new app is at feature parity with the old one, Im not updating them and told my wife to hold off as well.
That said I am getting a new FW update prompt on Mac desktop app and am wondering if its safe to update that. Im hesitant from reading in the 16.2 FW thread some people mentioned the new FW breaks compatibility with the old 16.1 app and I use that, and 3rd party apps that use a similar control scheme.
Just wondering whats actually broken on the new FW with the old app before I update. I would like to try Apple Music lossless support, but if its buggier I will hold off.

I fell in love with this player when I got it a few years ago, but I've been having a lot of issues with it recently. Whenever I try to watch a 4K disc, it begins to skip at the same spot each time, and I noticed that the only way I've been able to correct this issue is to turn my player off and on before inserting a 4K disc (and sometimes this doesn't even work). I'm also having a lot of issues with the region switching, given that whenever I hit the 2 button to change the region and put in a Regiom 2 disc, it still won't read the disc, and I have to spend five minutes flipping between regions in order to fix it.
I hope to upgrade to the Panasonic UB900 in the next few years and am curious if anyone here has had positive experiences upgrading a subpar player to that one? I hear the UB900 doesn't have the skipping issue and is usually good at changing regions, hence why I want it as a replacement.

I love the UppeLower bracket format, but I always find it a bit disappointing/anti-climactic when the last 2 teams in the upper bracket end up facing off again in the final. Which I feel like happens pretty often...
What if Gen.G and BSG didn't play each other tomorrow and instead one of them played G2, and the other played T1/TL in the semi-finals?
Just an idea I had randomly.
I guess the downside would be that Gen.G and BLG wouldn't get a second chance at any stage... But the reward is that they sort of get to skip a quarter final and go straight to a semi-final.
What do you all think? Is this a terrible idea? Or maybe a good one... XD

Brunhilde rolled her eyes before speaking her mind . “How do I plead ? What crimes are you talking about ? I was making coffee before me and Randgriz were arrested on the spot “ she spoke out . “ Don't play dumb Brunhilde I saw you cast forbidden spells and illegal magic “ Odin told everyone. Despite the bold straight up lie hilde remained as calm as ever . Using magic and spells is more for Gondul and she is too smart to get caught. What did Odin really want and why is he dragging Randgriz of all demigods.“Nonsense ! My sister would never so such a ““SILENCE “ Odin shouted but Randgriz stood her ground ready to face death itself to protect Brunhilde. Meanwhile in another area. Loki used his blades to slice the doors open splitting them in half. That comment made by a few folks behind her gave the sisters an irritated glare . “Shhh “ a man right next to Randgriz silenced her with his white glove .The concert ended leaving Liszt to step off the stage . He was quickly surrounded by fans causing Brunhilde to leave until she felt something hit her. Behind her was a red rose , she picked it up seeing the musician wave at her before being surrounded by more fans . “Come on Brunhilde let's go, I don't like parties “ Randgriz dragged her out towards the concert halls . “Oof I'm sorry “ she accidentally bumped into the same guy that sat next to him. He was a short guy with a big nose that spoke with a thick polish accident. “Sorry I'm looking for a man named Liszt “ he mentioned. “Down the hallway but you are going to have to wait in line “ Brunhilde pointed to the left before leaving . The man thanked her before walking in that direction, “He is very cute “ Randgriz thought. “Eh …okay let's go home “ she walked with Randgriz.
A few days later Brunhilde went back to the same concert alone this time to attend a mass . There she sat down reading the holy Bible while waiting for the preacher . “ Excuse me, is this seat taken? “ a familiar voice spoke to her . Brunhilde turned around, seeing the face once again. “Are you Franz Liszt ? “she asked while watching him sit down. “Yes “ Liszt confirmed sitting next to her “ Nice to meet you “ . “ Yeah I see ..” Brunhilde stuck her head back in the Bible. “Sorry if I was bothering you “ Liszt apologized getting ready to leave . “No you weren't, I just have a lot on my mind “ Brunhilde sighed. “Oh ..I hope the church can relax you ..lift those spirits up “ Liszt gave a warm smile. “Yeah” Brunhilde half smiled back , “So where are you from? I've never seen you around? “ he questioned. “Oh I'm from - “ Brunhilde tried to think of an answer. “Don't tell me your from heaven? “ Liszt answered "Wait how did you -”Brunhilde's face turned red from the blushing. “ “ Relax I was just kidding c Liszt chuckled . “Oh right …hahaha” Brunhilde joined the laughter

Well, as the title says, I am 28, and I'm brazilian. Let me cut the chase and answer the top 3 questions I get all the time.

1. Yes, we are forced to play soccer from an early age. You need to play at least 1 soccer game every week or else... oh boy, things get messy
   
2. Yes, all South Americans learn how to dance at the age of 2, I may have missed a few classes, tho.
   

3 No, not every brazilian has a big booty, I know you weren't ready for that, I'll give you some minutes to process it, and then we can go on.
Ok, now a bit about me, what do I like? Great question, let's see, I love movies, specially thriller, some of my favorites are Shutter Island, final destination, the pursuit of Happiness, inception and a lot more, we can talk about movies for, like, 30 minutes then I will get bored and change the subject but you got the idea.
I love series too, especially comedy, Friends are my favorite ones, and Ross and Rachel shouldn't end up together. Do you think you can change my mind? Try it, I dare you!
I like to work out and stay active, probably because of all those years forced to play soccer at school, now my body needs it. I have a cute border collie too so if you read all this and thought "omg he is so boring, I can't stand anymore" then just bear with me a little longer and you can see Loki in all his glory once you pm me.
I like to go out with my friends, and play some games together, I own a small collection of boardgames so if you are into that we have something to talk about too, my favorites are single player rpgs but I love playing coop games as well.

Hey guys! I’m 6 months away from my wedding and now that the semester is over for school I’m able to focus on wedding planning. One thing I’m trying to figure out and I’m open to ideas is what are you giving your bridesmaids the day of your wedding as a gift? The only thing a lot of my girls don’t do is drink so I want to stay away from anything alcohol related. I want to do something I know they’ll want to reuse and it won’t just end up as junk thrown into the trash. TIA!
