When I was a little boy, my parents and I got our first computer. That was in late 1995. In early 1996 we got a cd-rom with the Magic School Bus videogame made by Scholastic's and Music Pen. It was published by Microsoft Home. The Magic School Bus - Inside The Human Body videogame was based on one of the books of the female American author Joanna Cole. It was released somewhere in 1994.
The Magic School Bus - Inside The Human Body was an educational game about the human body. A class of American school kids and their teacher, Miss Frizzle went on a field trip through the human body. One kid stayed at school because his body was the volunteer for the trip. The class and their teacher went abord of the Magic School Bus. An American school bus that has been magical made. The bus could been transformed into an aeroplane, a helicopter, a submarine and even a military vehicle with open roof. I really like this game. The field trip began in the mouth and continues into all the organs of the digestive system, the heart, the lungs, the nose, the brain and even the skin. When the player clicked on the sign to the next organ, there was a transition cutscene coming up. From the mouth to the esophagus, the stomach, the small and large intestine, the liver and the kidney. Those are the organs of the digestive system. Also the other organs were also shown in the cutscenes. Each organ had it's own information. The player could also ask Liz, a reptilian mascotte that the class had. The children and teacher of the class had the following names: Arnold, Ralphie, Phoebe, Wanda, Dorothy, Carlos, Keesha, Tim and Miss Frizzle herself.
There were also a lot of minigames in the Magic School Bus Human Body. Each game for each organ. And a rucksack that contained a splat painting game with a lot of nasty sound effects. The player could draw and paint artworks with the discovered human organs. Disgusting paint game man!
I really miss this game! The original cd-rom I have has been damaged to death! Scratched, busted and unreadable. If I put the disc in my computer DVD-ROM drive it's makes a very unpleasant and noisy spinning sound. So I had to discard the disc by shredding it. I wish someone could help me finding a new copy of it. It is a retro videogame from my youth. I'm missing it. I am not American but Dutchman. I know The Magic School Bus Human Body for over twenty-eight (28) years and now the disc is broken. I have still the memories and can watch videos of the game on YouTube, but I really want to play it physically. I cannot play a digital version of the game because it does not work. So ever be grateful and I thank you kindly if some can find an original copy of the Magic School Bus - Inside the Human Body. By this text I have an image of the game.
