Really cool stuff today. If you want to chat with a trade offer, please comment here first.
Click on name of knife for video.
SOLD SV $490 / TV $550 Tactile Turn Archer. This is a catch and release for me. Bought as LNIB (well, in cool pouch, so...LNIP) and received yesterday. Its a stunner...but I'm finding that I prefer smaller-than-full-size stuff, so moving this on for someone else to enjoy. If you are going to offer a trade for this beauty...make sure its smaller than this 3.4 inch blade! These are $599 from TT and are sold out. The feather milling pattern is like nothing i've seen. Original edge, no cut and limited carry (previous owner mentioned one day of office carry). 2/7/24 DOB which you can see in the timestamp picture on the cool metal card included. These come stock with skiff bearings and the action and acoustics (turn on sound!) are wonderful.
WITHDRAWNSV/TV $199 Heretic Jinn Magnacut partially serrated blade. Its a wicked little slip joint that retails for $300+. I'm at least second owner, but I don't see any evidence of use. I carried it for less than a day in a leather slip. I really like the walk and talk on this thing since its not as stiff as a Jack Wolf, but also not "squishy" at all. Satisfying while also not hard to open. I don't know the fancy slip joint lingo or how to rate the pull. I added a little lanyard to it.
SOLD SV/TV $125 Benchmade Grizzly Creek 15060-2
At least second owner, but no use to speak of. Action is pretty incredible on both of these Benchmades. Recurve blade is sweet looking. This one has a gut hook for all your gut needs. Comes in box with the little baggy thing.
SOLD SV/TV $125 Benchmade North Creek 15031-2 At least second owner, bought at the same time as the one above. Nice action with the axis lock and also a cool little recurve blade in S30V. I don't think this has been cut or carried.
SV/TV $135 $120 Spyderco Mcbee price drop since this was listed a while back. Its little, its sharp, its cute. CTS XHP. First owner, purchased from REC for around $190. Very light cut (some mail) and carry (around the house). Has been disassembled and cleaned. The awesome rock textured pivots are not so awesome with the Spyderco loctite, and I stripped the originals when taking apart. Spyderco customer support is great, though, and they sent brand new ones that I just installed. The knife is pretty pristine except where you can see some marks from my initial struggle taking apart. Comes in original box.
SV/TV $60 Creeper Knives Friction Folder This is light as air due to the kydex construction. Comes with a nice nylon sheath. I'm at least second owner but bought it as "like new" and I have not used it to my recollection. I don't know much about this maker, but I understand these go for $200+ when buying from him directly
SOLD SV/TV $30 TwoSun TS359-Shell looks cool in the sunlight, huh? Its a Twosun brand slip joint (although it doesn't have any branding that I can see) with a Damascus blade. I removed the original lanyard and put my own on there. I've listed this a couple of times a while back and it didn't sell so its been sitting in a drawer. Comes in Twosun box.

Timestamp/vids: https://imgur.com/a/y3Ht6UE
TK-79 $415- Third owner since it’s been zirblasted by Brian. Only signs of wear are the 2 snails along the top near the shark lock and one near lanyard hole, i tried showing in the video.
Blade has zero marks and is still on the same razor sharp edge Brain put on. Perfect centered and solid lockup, riding on skiffs.
Here’s the original sales post. https://imgur.com/a/w3aEVv8 (Instagram link not working)
P3 RGT $85- Diamond pattern that was sent off to wayofknife to have them reblasted and anodized. Has been carry heavily since then but no deep scratches in the TI at all, great for a user!

2024.05.01 07:22 2E26 Working on a Boatswain Pipe Lanyard - Need Some Tips

Working on a Boatswain Pipe Lanyard - Need Some Tips
I'm an honor boatswain at an aviation squadron and I'm winding a black lanyard for ceremonies. Being that we don't have any rated BMs I'm forced to study Navy Training Series YT-001 for my rope work.
TL;DR - can anybody point me toward a good tutorial for tying decorative knots to cover the join areas? I haven't found any great videos on the matter and Facebook boomers won't help. Essentially they were all born knowing intricate ropework and refuse to pass on their craft.
Picture 1 - my lanyard is about half done. I have a lot of stands that have not found a home yet.
Picture 2 - the lanyard starts with a 15 strand sennit of 1.5mm black cord. I wove a 6-9 sennit by taking the outer 3 on the 9 side, going over-3, under-3, and making the 6 side the new 9 side.
Picture 3 - I secured the ends of the sennit and wrapped it a few times with a 5-strand overhand knot. I need to cover this area with something ornamental. It's not called a Turk's head but it's similar. The second part is a lot of short ends wrapped up by half hitches in a spiral pattern. I want to go over that with a hatchet handle wrap but the remaining strands are not long enough. I'll have to cut some new line before going at it with the ornamental knot.
Picture 4 - the pipe loop is a four strand braid that will fold in on itself. I am going to cover this transition with another decorative knot but I'm not sure what yet.
I'm being told it's possible to do all of this with just the cord already there, but I haven't figured that out yet. I'm not going to figure it out just by playing with it.

2024.04.29 15:19 karmachameleona Everything Suspicious About the SA case

Since this is being downvoted in the Making a Murderer subreddit as guilters cannot discuss anything that doesn't align with their seemingly unchangeable view:
WHAT ARE ALL THE SUSPICIOUS EVENTS AND THINGS IN SA's CASE?
• SA's DNA groin swabs: The swabs that were not included in the warrant nor included in the nurse's report.
• Wiegert taking it upon himself to deliver the hood latch swaps from the RAV4, but writing another deputy's name on the delivery. (Chain of custody violation)
• LE being called off their search and to Kuss road - stayed there for hours, only then informing Ertl and then declared that this area was not relevant to the case. And the dogs were not being allowed into this area.
• LE was told about a fire but then waited days before checking burn barrels and burn pit.
• The amount of DNA on the key lanyard being 50(? Or more) times higher than the amount of DNA that would be transferred from touching /holding the key for 12 continuous minutes.
• There supposedly being SA's DNA on the hood latch but they did not bother to check the hood release lever.
• SA supposedly bleeding blood flakes on the RAV4 carpet.
• Evidence mysteriously and conveniently disappearing (ex: GZ answering machine call).
• No photos being taken of burn barrels and burn pit before evidence showed up there.
• Coins not moving on the small table where the key supposedly came from.
• The RAV4 being locked when leaving ASY but then being found unlocked (driver's door) but the first evidence tech to take photos? The report not being clear how and when they opened the back door in the evidence "locker".
• The ATL having been out and Colborn requesting info on the plates and then responding himself with 99 Toyota. Then they found the RAV4 the next morning.
• The magic bullet they found not having any bone on it. The bullet that was lying on the floor while they jackhammered, dust all around it, but not covered in it
• SA supposedly cleaning all DNA of TH from his trailer and garage. But leaving some spots that looked like blood that LE thought was blood - all of which tested negative. His place is filthy. How did SA remember every single blood splatter to only remove TH's and all of her DNA?
FYI : chlorine bleach will not do it. That's a fact. Only oxygen bleach could do it. He didn't have that, nor was that even known in 2005.
• Culhane being told in writing to put him in the garage or trailer. That's not SOP. Any tests conducted should not be connected to any case or case info.
• The Manitowoc coroner not being allowed onto the ASY - much later justified by "conflict of interest. She had nothing to do with SA or his cases. Lenk, Colborn, Wiegert, Vogel, Bushman and others did and they were heavily involved right from the start. Hands-on from day one.
• Giving evidence to the Halbach's (bones, incl. Non-human bones). Not even informing the defense about this illegal activity.
• The lanyard that TH'S sister connected in court did not match the the lanyard with the key (different pattern and lining).
• Someone close to the LE investigation being part of the jury.

The Trayvax Link Lanyard has been a dependable companion in my daily life. It holds my keychain and credit cards close, secure, and readily available whenever I need them. The stealth black leather and stainless steel combination offers both durability and sleek style. I particularly appreciate the quick-release swivel, which makes it easy to attach or detach the lanyard from my belt loop. The choice between climb-spec nylon or top grain oil-tanned leather lets me tailor the lanyard to my preferences.
Using this lanyard has made carrying my essentials more comfortable and accessible. It has prevented my keys from scratching my pockets and has saved me from the inconvenience of having to fish for my cards in my wallet. The Trayvax brand is known for its high-quality, durable products, and this lanyard is no exception.
That being said, there have been a few issues I've encountered with the Trayvax Link Lanyard. Firstly, I noticed that the quick-release swivel occasionally struggles to detach, which can be frustrating. Additionally, the leather version can become bulky, sometimes making it challenging to use the button on the wallet or any attached keychain. Nonetheless, these drawbacks do not detract significantly from my overall enjoyment of this product.
In conclusion, the Trayvax Link Lanyard is a durable, stylish, and practical accessory that has become a staple in my everyday life. While it may not be perfect, its benefits far outweigh its minor flaws. I highly recommend giving this lanyard a try if you're in need of an easy-access and secure way to carry your most important items.

🔗Elegant EDC Lanyard for Secure Access to Essential Items

https://preview.redd.it/ajl3fxlizjwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14431b7a3edc41d284ffbf2c18bc5162644707c2
I have to admit, I was initially drawn to the Trayvax Link Lanyard by its sleek leather and stainless steel design. As someone who often struggles to keep their keychain organized, I was eager to give this EDC lanyard a try.
The first thing I noticed about the Link lanyard is how versatile it is. It's not just for keys – I've found it to be perfect for holding my wallet or even a small notepad. The lanyard's quick-release swivel and custom stainless-steel Trayvax carabiner have made it incredibly easy to access my essentials without any hassle.
However, there's one downside to the Link: its durability comes at the cost of its aesthetics. The lanyard's stainless-steel chain can become somewhat unsightly when exposed to rain or moisture, which has been a bit of a letdown for me.
Despite this minor drawback, the Trayvax Link Lanyard has been a game-changer for my everyday carry. The combination of its sleek design, versatility, and practical features make it a must-have for anyone looking to streamline their daily essentials.

🔗Benchmade Lanyard for Referee Officials

As a referee, I can't imagine going on the field without my trusty Smitty lanyard. The Original Black Noose Style Lanyard has truly become an essential tool, ensuring that my whistle and other necessary accessories are always within reach. Its noose style design not only makes it easy to slip on and off but also adds a touch of style to my outfit.
One of the biggest pros of this lanyard is its durability. It can withstand the rough and tumble nature of a sports field, and I haven't had any issues with it fraying or falling apart. However, one downside is that it can be a bit tricky to adjust the length due to its one-size-fits-all design.
Overall, the Smitty Officials noose style lanyard has become an indispensable part of my refereeing gear. Its Black ACS-500 finish makes it stand out from the crowd, and its practical design ensures that I'm always prepared for the game.

🔗Chic Gold Beaded ID Lanyard

I can't help but appreciate the elegant charm of the Bridgette Beaded Lanyard. With its champagne-colored beads and gold accents, it adds a touch of sophistication to any outfit.
The lanyard is surprisingly comfortable, hanging 19" from the back of the neck, making it suitable for both formal and casual events. I love how the magnetic, breakaway safety clasp and swivel lobster hook ensure that my ID badge stays secure without any hassle.
However, there's a slight drawback - this lanyard might be a tad too long for some users. Overall, I would definitely recommend giving this exquisite piece a try.

🔗Oakley Wanderlust Lanyard: Unique Tie Dye Design for Event Readiness

https://preview.redd.it/qih3zpkjzjwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=109473fd1d103297f6ab864c42e8968fefab7e30
I've had the pleasure of using the Oakley Wanderlust Lanyard, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for me. This lanyard is not only durable but also stylish, thanks to its all-over tie-dye pattern. The Polyester material is strong, ensuring that my credentials stay front and center at any event.
One of the things that stood out to me is the durable clip on this lanyard. It's been a lifesaver, keeping my ID badge secure even when I'm on the go. I've also appreciated the eye-catching design, which helps me stand out in crowded events. However, I do wish it was a bit longer, as I found myself adjusting it frequently.
Overall, the Oakley Wanderlust Lanyard has been a reliable and stylish addition to my daily essentials, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a functional and eye-catching lanyard.

🔗Quality Brown Braided Lanyard for Pocket Knives

https://preview.redd.it/uw61d4yjzjwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5fdefefa6decdd0ee50077a96f08de4f06a22ae8
As a knife enthusiast, I've always been on the lookout for a durable lanyard to accompany my pocket knife collection. Case XX Clip Lanyard, crafted by W. r. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. , seemed like a promising option. Made of sturdy Brown, Braided Leather, it's a perfect match for my pocket knives. The 3-step instructions make it easy to add on, and I appreciate the thoughtful design that ensures it fits any knife with a lanyard hole.
However, I've noticed that despite being a popular choice among knife enthusiasts, it may not be the most suitable option for those looking for a sleeker, minimalist lanyard. Additionally, the Brown, Braided Leather might not suit everyone's taste, especially those who prefer a more subtle look.
Overall, Case XX Clip Lanyard is a must-have for those who appreciate the durability and sturdiness of Brown, Braided Leather. It's particularly great for hunting or hiking, where a reliable lanyard is crucial for keeping your pocket knives secure. Although some might prefer a more minimalist design, the functionality and robustness of this lanyard make it a worthy addition to any pocket knife enthusiast's collection.

🔗Smith & Wesson M & P Cleaver: 10" Blade, Durable Design, Rubberized Handle

https://preview.redd.it/752062sdujwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b63d1216bddb96b00adfd7efe6bb61ac9641740
A couple of weeks ago, I decided to invest in the Smith & Wesson M & P Cleaver Machete for my camping adventures. I had read some mixed reviews about it, but I thought, 'why not give it a try? ' Let me tell you, it was quite the experience! .
On my first night in the wilderness, I found myself in a bit of a tricky situation with a thick vine, and that's when I put the machete to the test. It was well-balanced and felt sturdy in my hands. However, as I started hacking away at the vine, it started to bend and eventually snapped right near the handle.
I was quite surprised, considering I had only been using it for a few minutes. I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed with the product, even though it had a pretty affordable price tag.
While I appreciate the synthetic sheath and the overmolded rubber handle, the durability just wasn't there for me. Overall, I would give it a thumbs down and recommend considering other options if you're looking for something a little more reliable. The Smith & Wesson M & P Cleaver Machete is one of those 'buyer beware' situations, and I wish I had known beforehand.

🔗Black DLC Coated Machete for Outdoor Adventures

The Way Machete from Hoback Knives is a versatile and durable piece of gear designed for a wide range of outdoor activities. I had the pleasure of using this machete for clearing trails in my backyard, and it made the job a breeze. The 23.25-inch blade, coated in black DLC to provide excellent resistance against corrosion, slices through thick vegetation with ease. The comfortable and ergonomic black micarta handle, coupled with the full tang construction, ensures a firm grip and exceptional durability.
I also appreciated the lanyard hole on the handle, which made it easy to secure the machete around my neck while trekking through the woods. The black nylon belt sheath, which comes with the machete, is an added benefit, as it allows for easy storage and transportation. One slight drawback was that it is bulk-packed, meaning it seemed to come with excessive packaging that wasn't necessary. Despite this minor inconvenience, the Hoback Knives Way Machete proved to be an outstanding tool with top-notch performance and a sleek, stylish appearance.

🔗USMC Semper Fi Sawback Collection: Versatile, Durable, and Ideal for Survival

https://preview.redd.it/4gs45dkeujwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e43de950e6eac9b53ea577ebef893c3be7841dd
I've been using this massive Semper Fi Sawback Machete in my survival adventures, and let me tell you, it's quite the tool. The 17 1/2" full-tang stainless steel blade, with its non-reflective black coating and powerful sawback serrations, has been a game-changer. With the iconic "Semper Fidelis, The Few. The Proud. " logo laser-etched in white and a thru-hole, it exudes a tactical vibe that truly sets it apart.
The machete's 24" overall length fits perfectly into its sturdy nylon belt sheath, making it easy to handle and carry around. The wrist lanyard on the handle adds an extra level of convenience, ensuring it's within reach whenever needed. I've taken this machete through thick and thin, and it has never let me down.
While it's a pretty big weapon, the machete's balance and overall design make it incredibly easy to handle. The rubberized injection-molded saber-style handguard keeps things tight and secure. Despite its size, it's versatile and excels in tackling various tasks.
The reviews I've come across for this machete are overwhelmingly positive, and I can see why. Overall, this Semper Fi Sawback Collection Machete is a must-have for any survival enthusiast's toolkit. It's made with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, and its performance is unmatched in its class. Give it a try and see why everyone's raving about it.

🔗Officially Licensed USMC Desert Ops Sawback Machete - 17" Stainless Steel Blade with Olive Drab Finish

https://preview.redd.it/enz6w92fujwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecc9175fe7e2ee88d6ce11c4f8c8f65e2c2e5a9c

Imagine carrying a machete that embodies the raw spirit and unwavering values of the US Marine Corps. The USMC Desert Ops Sawback Machete by Medieval Collectibles is not just a tool, but a symbol of honor, courage, and commitment. With a grippy handle, stainless steel blade, and heavy-duty saw serrations, this machete is perfect for the tough outdoors but also for the tough Marine in you.
Its unique sawback design and official license allow it to stand out in any crowd. The added nylon belt sheath with an adjustable shoulder strap provides a secure and comfortable way to carry it around. Overall, the USMC Desert Ops Sawback Machete is a reliable and distinctive addition to your collection.

🔗Heavy Machete with Black Handle (18.25" Overall Length)

https://preview.redd.it/884h5bbfujwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5614a736e7bb6820870faaeac95dfb0a7a25c5cf
I recently started using the "Heavy Machete with Black Handle" as part of my outdoor adventures, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. The 18.25" overall length and the 5.25" handle length make it a practical tool for a variety of tasks. The wide, curved stainless steel blade shines like a beacon, cutting through foliage and branches with ease thanks to its full tang construction and distinctive tip design.
While the machete is sturdy and durable, it does come with a warning: the handle is crafted from natural materials. This means that the color and pattern may vary, giving it a unique and one-of-a-kind look. The black pakkawood, combined with the stainless steel guard, offers a comfortable grip and an ergonomic fit. The nylon sheath with a snap to secure the machete in place has been a game-changer, allowing me to carry it securely and conveniently.
However, there's always a catch. The heavy weight of this machete can be a drawback for those who may not be as physically strong or agile, especially over long periods. Also, the blade length might be a bit overkill for everyday tasks, so it's not the most versatile of tools. Despite these minor hiccups, the Heavy Machete with Black Handle remains a worthy addition to any outdoor gear collection, serving as a reliable and efficient companion on the trail.

🔗Compact Multifunction Outdoor Tool

https://preview.redd.it/1ew3cktfujwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3be3be794a039af0d2f398dcc5a36db5b397de8d
I was pleasantly surprised by the Wilderness Multi-Tool by Gentlemen's Hardware, a must-have for any outdoor aficionado. This stainless steel swiss knife is compact and foldable, making it perfect for everyday use. The tools within the handle are essential and versatile, including a knife, bottle opener, flat-head and Phillips screwdrivers, a flint rod, and a removable saw.
The Wilderness Multi-Tool's sleek design and stylish presentation box make for a great gift or everyday carry item. However, being made in China may not be appealing to those who prefer locally made products. Despite this, the tool proved reliable and functional during my outdoor adventures, making it a worthwhile addition to my camping gear. Overall, the Wilderness Multi-Tool is a thoughtfully designed, compact, and versatile tool that's perfect for any wilderness enthusiast.

2024.04.25 05:23 -S-Aint [WTS] 5 Knives (Microtech, Hifinder, Liong Mah, Kizer, Utility Slip Joint) & 3 Lights (Emisar, Manker, Skilhunt)

What's up everyone? We are cleaning and getting ready to sell our house. Part of this process involved me realizing that I have too many knives and lights. Alright, well maybe not me, maybe it was my wife... but she does have a point haha.
I have put together quite a good range of both knives and lights, ranging from budget to premium. I'm willing to make some deals here if items get bundled to help with moving these along. Please feel free to reach out if I missed anything or if you need any extra pictures/Videos.
KNIVES
(Sold)(A) Hifinder Microtech Ultratech Hellhound clone. THIS IS A CLONE, NOT A REAL MICROTECH. I bought this on Aliexpress after hearing good things about the quality to price point that Hifinder has been putting out. I just wanted to see how it compared to the real thing. There are some slight differences between the shapes of both, but the quality is definitely right up there with Microtech. The box is the biggest giveaway that this is a clone. The blade is listed as D2, I have no way of testing it. But for the price compared to the Microtech this is an absolute steal. Ultimately I do not support clones, and I cannot keep this one around. This knife has only been out of the box to inspect, fidget, and take pictures. Like new condition, box is a little damaged (recieved it this way). Includes knife, box, and stock accessories. I'm looking to get $50 shipped for this one. Roughly the same price as Ali, but without the month or so wait for shipping.
(A) Microtech Ultratech in DLC MagnaCut with Ultem top Scale and Button, also has a special glass breaker. This was my grail Microtech, it's truly a work of art. The problem I have with this one, is that I can legally own it, but due to laws where I live. I can never carry it - so I cannot justify keeping it. This was a safe queen. Only out of the box to inspect, fidget, and take pictures. Includes knife, box, and stock accessories. Looking to get $375 shipped for this. Roughly $50 off new.
(C due to modifications, A otherwise) Liong Mah KUF (Kitchen Utility Knife) v2 in M390. These were special in the sense that they not only have a thumb hole opener, but also a top flipper (unlike any other designs out there). The top flipper is so intuitive, if you struggle with front flippers, this is the knife for you. This is a special knife to me. I first sent the blade over to Josh @ REK Knives to be DLC coated (I don't remember the exact price for this, but it was roughly $125-$175). He does an amazing job, and all of his DLC testing is still on his website, although he no longer offers the service while making his own knives now. The next thing I did was remove the horrid brown micarta inlays (they got ruined by the super glue dissolver I used so they will not be included). I then hand polished every piece of titanium (basically the whole handle). I then entropic anodized all of the handle, and heat anodized all of the hardware. I ordered some legit gold snakeskin Fatcarbon from the manufacturer in Lithuania (material and shipping was roughly $75. Once recieved I made some custom inlays to replace the stock micarta inlays. I have put countless time piecing this together. I have put together a piece of art, that I cannot justify using, so therefore I cannot justify keeping. Since this knife is so heavily modded, I can't label it as like new in box, but you can see in the video that it is in that condition. Even though it has not been cut with or carried, I will label it as used considering how much has been changed with this knife. The stock knife was $430, plus DLC $150, plus Carbon Fiber $75 puts this at $655 - not counting all of the work and time I have put into it. I feel like this is a steal at $550 shipped but feel free to make offers. Comes with knife, stickers, unused microfiber cloth, and pouch.
(Sold)(C-B) Aliexpress special, slipjoint utility knife. I bought this as a practice piece for the hand polishing and entropic anodizing that I did on the Liong Mah, being that this was $30 and the KUF was $400 more. I found through my trials that the blade holder, backspacer, and clip are actually stainless and not titanium as advertised (hence the dullness in the patterns on these parts). Like the KUF, this is not cut with or carried, but heavily modified. Comes with handle and Damascus etched blade. I'd llike to get $25 shipped for this one. I will add this in for free if you buy 2 or more items to help reduce my shipping costs.
(Sold)(A) Last but certainly not least, the Mojave Outdoor exclusive Kizer Feist (Deadpool) DLC reverse tanto, 3v blade steel, red micarta handles. This one is so nice, I bought it twice. I have 3 Fiests currently, and I don't need 2 of the same exact model. To me, I would rather keep and carry my other copy of this knife than any others I have listed, which is really putting into perspective how nice the Feist is. If you've never tried a Kizer Feist, this is a perfect example of why I love them. Being that I have 2 of this one, I have never taken this one out of the box, except for this post (pictures and videos). I'm looking to get $50 shipped for this one.
(All sold)FLASHLIGHTS
(Sold)(C due to modifications, B otherwise) Emisar D4K in entropic anodized titanium with a stone white MAO head. Options include magnet in tailcap, raised switch ring, rgb switch light, 519a 2700k de-domed leds (single channel), and boost driver. The D4K takes 21700 batteries, not included. This light started as a polished titanium, and while I was anodizing the other 2 knives - I did this as well. Comes with light, box, lanyard, floody and standard optics, spare gaskets, and deep carry clip. I love this light, and have carried it around the house as a nightlight. I was planning on keeping it, but the D3AA I just recieved is a smaller version of the same light, and I don't need 2. This light is modified but in great condition. I do have to point out that the titanium threads are crunchy, I recieved it this way. I have added dielectric grease to the threads, and it helps, but definitely not as smooth as Hanks aluminum threads. I'm looking to get $100 shipped for this light. Roughly $30 off what I paid, and you don't have to wait for shipping.
(Sold)(A) Manker MC13 II in red with the SBT90.2 emitter. When I ordered this light, I also ordered the 21700 tube as the stock 18350 is cool for show, it's not a good pair with this emitter. (With both tubes, this light can run off of 18350, 18650, and 21700 batteries, not included. This is currently the brightest and longest throw flashlight thay I own. I really wanted to see what all the hype was about with the SBT90.2 emitter, and it holds up for sure. But, Hank Lights seem to be all I use, and I just ordered a K1 from him - so this light is no longer needed. Used for maybe 20 minutes to check it out, and it went back in the box. I'm looking to get $100 shipped for this one as well. Roughly $30 off what I paid, and you don't have to wait for shipping.
(Sold)(B) Last but not least, the Skilhunt Mix-7 in MAO finish and 519a 4500k emitters. This is the coolest toy light I have ever owned. My children absolutely love this thing. I call it a toy light because with the Spicy3d tpu diffusers (included), this is basically a mini lightsaber. They call it the Mix-7 as there are 7 leds, 3x 519a, 1x XPE-2 red, 1x XPE-2 blue, 1x XPE-2 green, and 1x UV Z5-1B. The Mix-7 is an 18350 light, which is included as well as a magnetic charger for the light. This one will come with the light, packaging, standard accessories (including battery and charger), and 3 different length Spicy3d tpu diffusers. This light has been used quite a bit around the house, playing with my children and all (only ever used by me) - so it's in great condition. I'm looking to get $65 shipped for this one. Roughly $20 off if you include the diffusers.
I know there is a lot here, so if any of this was overlooked, or if you have any questions please reach out.
Yolos trump all.
Not looking to trade, as I'm trying to downsize.

2024.04.25 05:19 -S-Aint [WTS] 5 Knives (Microtech, Hifinder, Liong Mah, Kizer, Utility Slip Joint) & 3 Lights (Emisar, Manker, Skilhunt)

KNIVES
(Sold)Hifinder Microtech Ultratech Hellhound clone.
Microtech Ultratech in DLC MagnaCut with Ultem top Scale and Button, also has a special glass breaker.
Liong Mah KUF (Kitchen Utility Knife) v2 in M390.
(Sold)Aliexpress special, slipjoint utility knife. 🔗Premium Camp Kitchen Knife by Benchmade Meatcrafter 15500-3

https://preview.redd.it/5227l7j04fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0db50405e2808fcc992530a689ec4429a1a2e0c7
After months of using the Benchmade Meatcrafter 15500-3 in my daily life, I can confidently say it's a game-changer in the world of outdoor cooking and kitchen tools. The knife's balance and lightweight design make it incredibly versatile and comfortable to use, whether you're preparing a hearty meal in the great outdoors or filleting fresh game at home.
One of the most impressive features of this knife is its premium CPM-S45VN stainless steel blade. The edge provides the perfect combination of strength and flexibility, allowing me to slice through even the thickest cuts with ease. And while the OD green G10 handle may be just an accent, it adds a touch of style and personality to the already impressive design.
However, as much as I love this knife, I do have a couple of minor concerns. First, the price tag may be a bit steep for some budget-conscious buyers. And while the Boltaron sheath is undoubtedly a convenient and secure storage solution, I've found that the sheath itself can be a bit difficult to use at times.
Overall, the Benchmade Meatcrafter 15500-3 is a fantastic addition to any outdoor cooking or hunting kit. Its superior craftsmanship and performance make it well worth the investment, and I'm confident that I'll be using this knife for years to come.

🔗Handcrafted Leather Sheath for Benchmade Nimravus Knife

https://preview.redd.it/a3wb84014fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e7fc2effa3495951759010294071839506bf4d50
I recently tried out the 7" long custom handmade leather sheath for a 4" cutting blade knife, and it's been a game-changer for me. The thick cow head leather and strong stitches make it robust enough to last for years, even with rough and tough use. The 1.25" top opening fits the blade perfectly, and the 7" overall length keeps it secure.
However, be careful when taking it out of the packaging, as the blades can be sharp. Also, make sure to keep it away from children and only purchase if you're over 18 years old. In conclusion, this leather sheath is a must-have for anyone with a 4" cutting blade knife, and the quality is truly exceptional.

🔗Benchmade Nimravus 112 H2O Fixed Dive Knife with Corrosion-Resistant Blade

https://preview.redd.it/xaidasb14fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c788f3b81b89486fb0fe5d8c202cd6b84ba1c41d
The Benchmade H2O Fixed dive knife quickly became my go-to tool for saltwater diving adventures, thanks to its impressive corrosion resistance and reliability underwater. The N680 ultra stainless steel blade combined with a blunt tip creates a perfect balance between durability and safety around marine life.
Handling the knife is a breeze, thanks to the textured Santoprene ergonomic grip, providing both comfortable and reliable holding. The overall design and weight of the knife feel compact and light, making it easy to attach to my dive gear without weighing me down.
One thing that stood out to me is the molded thermoplastic sheath with a thumb release. It's an exceptionally sturdy and convenient way to carry my knife, ensuring both safety and accessibility during underwater missions. Despite its sleek dimensions, it remains securely in place while engaging in various tasks.
However, I should mention that the fixed black-coated H2O Fixed blade has a somewhat narrow and thinner blade compared to my previous favorite dive knives. This could be a concern for those seeking to execute more rigorous prying tasks. Nevertheless, it hasn't caused any significant drawbacks in my experience.
Overall, the Benchmade H2O Fixed has become an indispensable part of my diving kit. Its outstanding features and the overall high-quality construction make it a solid choice for any marine diver enthusiast.

🔗Slim Pocket Knife for All Adventures

https://preview.redd.it/3lqqqgq14fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=95dfa913145057c06f230a4607cf5c520e04acd8
I recently had the chance to test out the Benchmade 317-1 Weekender pocketknife, and let me tell you, it's quite the handy companion. With its slim profile, I found it easily slipped into my pocket, perfect for spontaneous weekend getaways into nature. The multi-blade design is a game-changer when it comes to versatility - you can switch between blades depending on the task at hand, from whittling to opening cold beverages.
The Benchmade Weekender is a true testament to quality, as it boasts a CPM S30V stainless steel finish and has a hardness rating of 58-60 HRC. To my delight, the Weekender stood up to even the roughest conditions I threw at it without any problems. The brown Micarta handle adds a touch of sophistication and offers a comfortable grip.
Of course, no product is perfect, and the Weekender does have its cons. It may be a bit on the heavier side, but I consider that a trade-off for its durability. Additionally, some may find the 2.3mm open length a bit limiting, but I personally find it adequate enough.
In conclusion, the Benchmade 317-1 Weekender is a fantastic addition to any outdoor adventurer's arsenal. Its sleek design, versatility, and high-quality materials make it a standout among its competitors. Give it a try, and I'm sure you'll find it as indispensable as I do.

🔗Benchmade 140/141 Fixed Sheath Coyote Knife Sheath

https://preview.redd.it/rkuc7l624fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6468e8559e5e1d488314fad08f8343941cbf3848
I recently came across the Benchmade 140/141 Fixed Sheath Coyote and thought I'd give it a try. This belt sheath is designed to fit both the 140 and 141 Nimravus knives, which are perfect for those who love the flexibility of using multiple sizes for different tasks.
The dimensions of the sheath are impressive - 14 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, and 1.25 inches high. This ensures a snug fit for your knife without the need for an additional holster. The sheath is made in the United States and is crafted with high-quality Coyote Tan Nylon and features a button-snap to keep your knife secure in place.
While the sheath itself is easy to use, it feels a bit heavy, weighing in at 5.1 ounces. If you're looking for a lightweight option, it might not be the best fit. However, if you value durability and reliability, it might be worth the extra weight. All in all, the Benchmade 140/141 Fixed Sheath Coyote is an excellent choice for those who need a versatile sheath for their Nimravus knives.

🔗Premium Benchmade Anonimus Fixed Blade Knife for Survival and Everyday Use

https://preview.redd.it/w0b96aj24fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=63e1dd23ab1d3aeca40dcc70ce71213206e0c8ee
The Benchmade Anonymus fixed blade knife has been a reliable companion in my daily life. The CPM-Cruwear steel blade allows for impressive cutting capabilities, making it a great choice for both survival and bushcraft scenarios. Although maintenance requires hand-washing and thoroughly drying, this knife has proven to be a tough and functional companion.
The boltaron sheath adds a layer of security, ensuring the knife won't accidentally fall out. Overall, the Benchmade Anonymus is a well-crafted and versatile knife that I would highly recommend.

🔗Benchmade Balisong Butterfly Knife Nylon Sheath in Black

https://preview.redd.it/5uitymw24fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c328ab2a7bbd076d96c322479ac69edbea1b718
I've been using the Benchmade Balisong/Butterfly Knife Nylon Sheath for quite some time now and I must say, it's been a game-changer for me as a knife enthusiast. The nylon material feels durable yet breathable and the secure strap system ensures my knife stays in place, no matter what. The clean, no-snag finish is a bonus that makes this sheath stand out. However, one downside I've noticed is that it might not fit all knife sizes.
Overall, this sheath has been a reliable and practical addition to my daily life. The features that stood out the most include the durable nylon material, secure strap system, and the clean finish. Although it might not fit all knife sizes, it's an excellent choice for those specifically looking for a nylon sheath that protects and showcases their butterfly knife.

🔗Benchmade Large Soft Sheath: Premium Protection for Nimravus Knife

https://preview.redd.it/5bhsuv834fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1db4163139bc3a855a5d21dfdb213054960f3d9
The large soft sheath from Benchmade, designed to fit their impressive knives, caught my attention. Made of black ballistic nylon, this sheath has dimensions of 2 inches by 5.25 inches, offering ample space without sacrificing style or practicality. With a velcro closure, it stays secure in place, ensuring the longevity and protection of the blade.
Despite its robust construction, the sheath is surprisingly lightweight. When I first received it, I couldn't help but appreciate the seamless design, which makes carrying the knife in various positions easy and comfortable. The velcro closure is strong, but not too tight, offering a balance between security and ease of access.
While the large soft sheath has many outstanding features, like many things, it's not perfect. The limited number of color options might not appeal to some users, or it could be seen as more expensive compared to other options on the market. Additionally, the velcro closure could be more secure or have a better lock mechanism, ensuring an even tighter grip when necessary.
All in all, I found this large soft sheath from Benchmade to be a practical and aesthetically pleasing option for carrying and protecting my knives. Its durability and ease of use in various situations make it a worthwhile investment, even despite its higher price point.

🔗Suede Sword Sheath for 31-inch Swords

https://preview.redd.it/d3u6v9m34fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc60ebfc0c2a4ab1c72bd7795dda0204334f4d8c
Recently, I had the chance to use the PA660231 Suede Sword Sheath in my daily life. My first impression was its sleek, stylish design. The 31-inch overall length provides ample room for my sword, and it fits swords up to 31 inches perfectly.
One feature that stands out is the two 19-inch suede straps that secure the sword in place. These straps work seamlessly, ensuring the sheath doesn't fall and keeps the sword safely tucked away. I also love the two 29-inch suede slings, which are perfect for carrying around.
However, I did face a minor inconvenience when assembling the product. The dimensions provided are in inches, but it might be confusing for some users if they are not familiar with imperial measurements. Nonetheless, this issue was easily addressed by converting inches to centimeters.
Overall, my experience with the Suede Sword Sheath has been quite positive, and the quality leather and hardware have exceeded my expectations. This is a great addition to any sword collection and offers excellent value for its price.

🔗Crocodile Skin Pattern Leather Kabar Molle Sheath

https://preview.redd.it/2kmozlz34fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=817b59a995aaed1ae739f7348b3460f3b525dafb
I've recently come across the Down Under Mark II Sheath in my daily life, and it's been a game-changer for carrying my trusty knife. The sheath, inspired by the Crocodile skin pattern, adds a touch of rugged charm to any outfit. The longer, wider shank and belt loop design allows the knife to sit lower on my hip for a secure and comfortable fit.
One of my favorite features of this sheath is the honing steel it comes with. It's a handy accessory that ensures my knife stays in tip-top shape whenever I need it most. Additionally, the imitation Croc tooth ornaments add a bit of character and sophistication to the design.
While I've been enjoying using the Down Under Mark II Sheath, I must mention one downside: it's bulk-packed, which may make it slightly less convenient for storage. Nonetheless, the benefits it offers outweigh this minor inconvenience. If you're in the market for a durable and stylish sheath, the Down Under Mark II is definitely worth checking out.

Buyer's Guide

A Benchmade sheath is a protective cover designed specifically for Benchmade knives. These sheaths offer various benefits, such as easy access, secure storage, and protection from damage or rust. In this buyer's guide, we will discuss the essential features to consider when purchasing a Benchmade sheath and provide general advice to help you make an informed decision.

Materials and Durability

https://preview.redd.it/1ja0trg44fwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e560fb58ee9514fbe68dbc3b0c25cb393abc54d
The material used for the sheath plays a significant role in its durability and overall quality. Common materials include leather, nylon, and Kydex. Leather sheaths are traditional and offer a classic look, but they may require more maintenance to prevent deterioration over time. Nylon sheaths are lightweight, flexible, and easy to clean, but they may not offer the same level of protection as other materials. Kydex sheaths are known for their rigidness and durability, making them ideal for heavy-duty use. Consider the material that best suits your needs and preferences.

Retention and Securement

A good sheath should securely hold your Benchmade knife, keeping it in place during various activities or storage. Look for features like snap locks, straps, or belt clips that provide a secure grip on the knife. Additionally, consider the thickness and quality of the material, as it can impact the sheath's ability to retain the knife effectively.

Comfort and Ease of Use

When you're carrying a Benchmade sheath, comfort and ease of use are crucial factors to consider. Lightweight materials and a well-designed sheath can reduce discomfort and fatigue during extended use. Consider the size and weight of the sheath, as well as its ergonomics and attachment points, to ensure a comfortable and practical carrying solution.

Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance and care can help extend the life of your Benchmade sheath. Clean the sheath regularly to remove dirt, dust, and other debris, and avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals or excessive heat. Some materials, such as leather, may require additional care, like conditioning or treatment, to maintain their quality over time.

Budget Considerations

Benchmade sheaths come in various price ranges, depending on their materials, design, and brand reputation. I've been carrying a Buck Knives Special as my go-to tool in my outdoor adventures, and I must say, it has been a reliable companion.
The rugged, ebony-covered phenolic handle provides a comfortable grip, even in wet conditions. It's also easy to maintain and looks great with its satin finish. The 420HC stainless steel blade is solid and sharp, making it perfect for various tasks like cutting ropes or skinning game.
One thing I loved about this knife is that it's made in the USA, supporting local craftsmanship. However, the sheath could use some improvement. I prefer a more durable material for the sheath, as it seems to wear out quickly.
Overall, the Buck Knives Special is a well-built, functional, and stylish knife. It's a bit on the expensive side, but it delivers on quality and performance. If you're looking for a reliable outdoor tool, this one is worth considering.

🔗Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5 Biker Knife with Secure-Ex Sheath

https://preview.redd.it/pgt9s1gvxcwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e29d017fa00cdbc43f633701290572557ff28c75
I recently tried the Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5, and I must say, I was truly impressed by this knife. The blade material, SK-5 carbon stainless steel, provided a smooth cut and the razor-sharp edge was exceptional. The handle, made of Kraton, was both comfortable and grippy in my hand.
One of the standout features of this knife was its balance. It felt well-proportioned and easy to maneuver, making it a great choice for various tasks, from camping to self-defense. The blade thickness of 5mm added an extra layer of confidence when performing deeper cuts.
While the blade material is rust-resistant, the black Tuff-Ex finish on the blade did scratch off quite easily. However, this did not affect the knife's performance or durability. The weight of the knife, at 250 grams, made it a suitable everyday carry, providing a mix of portability and power.
Overall, the Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5 is a high-quality knife with a durable design and a smooth, sharp edge. It's an excellent choice for those seeking a reliable and versatile fixed blade for their everyday needs or even the most challenging outdoor situations.

Last weekend, I tried out the Becker Companion fixed blade knife, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer! The 5-inch black epoxy powder coated blade made short work of cutting through branches and preparing our campfire. The 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel drop point blade proved to be durable and versatile, tackling various tasks with ease.
Despite its sturdy full-tang build, the knife was surprisingly well-balanced, making it comfortable to use for extended periods. The black Grivory handle provided a good grip and added a touch of style to the already impressive design. But, there was one minor issue – I found difficulties in removing the knife from the sheath. A simple design tweak would make the experience even more seamless.
Overall, this knife has become an essential tool in my outdoor adventures. Its strong performance and reliable build make it a top contender in the world of all-purpose knives. If you're looking for a tough, versatile blade for your next camping trip, the Becker Companion fixed blade knife is definitely worth considering.

🔗High-Quality Tracker Knife with Black Epoxy Powder Coat

The UC2411335, better known as the KBR USMC Ft-Utility knife, has become a staple in my daily life. Its sleek design and solid construction make it a go-to tool for various outdoor tasks. Upon receiving this knife, I was immediately struck by its oval handles made from compacted leather disks smoothed and polished to perfection.
The black epoxy powder-coated high-carbon steel blades caught my eye, showcasing a razor-sharp edge that is both deadly and elegant. The powdered metal butt cap and carbon steel guard, also coated in black epoxy, further enhance the knife's durability. The cowhide sheath is an added touch, securing the knife safely while on the go.
I've had the opportunity to put this knife through its paces, from slicing through wood to handling daily tasks. The grip is secure, and the blade feels balanced in my hand. The KBR USMC Ft-Utility has proven to be both functional and stylish, truly embodying the craftsmanship for which Ka-Bar is known.

🔗Compact Fixed Blade Knife with Black Handle

I recently got my hands on a Cold Steel SRK Compact fixed blade knife, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer for those seeking a reliable and stylish companion while on outdoor adventures. The knife features a compact handle & blade made of Kray-Ex & SK5, measuring in at just 12.5 cm (5 inches). Weighing only 145 grams, it's remarkably lightweight and effortless to carry around.
One thing that struck me is the sturdy Secure-Ex sheath it comes with – it's a fantastic addition! However, I did notice a few minor drawbacks. Firstly, the blade edges seemed a bit too uneven for my liking. Secondly, I'm not a big fan of the flex hanger option, but that's just personal preference.
Overall, I believe that the Cold Steel SRK Compact is a fantastic choice for outdoor enthusiasts. It's light, easy to carry, and offers great performance. Just make sure to sharpen it properly and maintain it well to enjoy its full potential.

🔗Ergonomic Buck Ranger Skinner Knife with Satin Blade and Brown Ebony Wood Handle

https://preview.redd.it/a1435nywxcwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=645d4cbb1406b7496ddfff5081a15be3f9e699aa
I recently had the pleasure of using the Buck Ranger Skinner, a stylish and performance-oriented knife that's perfect for both urban and outdoor settings. The combination of Buck's famous Ranger and the classic Buck Vanguard creates a knife that's both unique and practical.
One of the first things I noticed about the Buck Ranger Skinner was its ergonomic handle. Designed for ease-of-use, it's not too small or too big, providing great balance and a comfortable grip. The satin-finished blade is a impressive drop point design, offering a sharp edge and the durability required for everyday use.
The Buck Ranger Skinner also comes with a streamlined design for enhanced portability, and it's surprisingly lightweight at just 138 grams. The included black leather sheath is a great bonus, protecting the knife when not in use and keeping it securely in place.
However, there was a minor downside to this knife that I couldn't ignore: the handle material. While it's comfortable to hold, the ebonized wood material seemed to be of poorer quality than I anticipated. If you're like me and value durability, I would recommend keeping an eye on the condition of the handle over time.
In conclusion, the Buck Ranger Skinner is a versatile and attractive knife that's perfect for a variety of tasks. With its durable satin-finished blade and ergonomic handle, it's sure to become a staple in your tool collection. Despite the minor issue with the handle material, the Buck Ranger Skinner is still a reliable and functional choice that I would highly recommend.

🔗Durable Bone-Handled Knife with Sheepsfoot Blades

https://preview.redd.it/v3eclafxxcwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=87bd38085ed80ba96d8b9a33cb03e9adca7cdb33
I recently had the chance to try the Rough Rider RR053 BRK Congress in my daily life, and I must admit, it exceeded my expectations. The handle, crafted from amber jigged bone, feels both sturdy and comfortable in my hand, and the 3 5/8 inch closed knife adds a touch of elegance to everyday tasks.
The stainless twin sheepsfoot, pen, and Coping blades are a delight to use, especially considering the knife's affordability. The nickel silver bolsters and inlay shield not only add visual appeal but also contribute to the overall durability of the product.
However, one minor downside is the weight of the Rough Rider RR053 BRK Congress. At 50 grams, it can feel a little heavy in the pocket, but this trade-off is worth it for the high-quality materials and construction.
Overall, the Rough Rider RR053 BRK Congress has proven to be a well-made and sturdy addition to my collection of everyday carry knives. The excellent edge retention and reasonable price make it a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and visually appealing pocket knife.

🔗Old Timer Pro Hunter PHW Fixed Blade Knife: Versatile Hunting Companion

https://preview.redd.it/utc13btxxcwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dad308ad081ce9e61e4fbeadb11d3525ed650538
The Old Timer Pro Hunter fixed blade knife quickly became my go-to companion for outdoor activities. Its sturdy 7Cr17 high carbon stainless steel blade, with a drop point perfect for skinning or camp chores, proved to be the highlight of my experience.
The Desert Iron wood handle slabs, partnered with the Nickel Silver guard, added a touch of elegance to this classic hunting knife. The brass pin and leather lanyard made it both rugged and stylish. Despite its heavy-build brown leather belt sheath and its safety strap, it was designed for practicality and not just display.
Overall, this well-crafted knife is a reliable and functional addition to any adventurer's toolkit.

🔗Ka-Bar Slim Pocket Strike Knife for Durability and Sharp Cutting

https://preview.redd.it/mi0358lyxcwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8235d3d406af8996cd52101df886686248e350bc
The KA-BAR TDI Pocket Strike Knife has been a reliable companion in my daily life. The slim and lightweight design allows me to easily carry it with me wherever I go. The handle, made of durable nylon and fiberglass, provides a comfortable grip, despite its ambidextrous orientation. The stamped KA-BATDI logo on the blade adds a touch of authenticity.
One downside of this knife is the small blade length, which means it might not be suitable for larger tasks. However, the knife excels in terms of strength and edge-holding ability, thanks to its corrosion-resistant AUS 8A stainless steel blade. The sheath made of hard plastic provides a snug fit, but it could be easier to remove with a reversible pocket clip. Overall, this pocket knife is a reliable and versatile tool, and I've given it a solid recommendation.

🔗Slim Pocket Knife for All Adventures

🔗Top-Notch Survival Knife by TOPS Knives: Tom Brown Tracker

https://preview.redd.it/grgbsibzxcwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fff78670b93dabf72967c64043cf7709dd8ba1fb
I remember the first time I held the Tom Brown Tracker. The micarta handle felt comfortable in my hand, and the 1095 carbon steel blade had a nice weight to it. It was a perfect companion during my camping trips, always ready for whatever I needed to cut or chop. The blade was incredibly sharp and held its edge exceptionally well. I was impressed by the versatility of this knife, especially its ability to carve wood and even saw through branches.
The sheath it came with was a great addition, easy to attach to my belt and securely hold the knife. It was a convenient way to keep the Tom Brown Tracker within reach at all times. The 6.38-inch blade might be a bit long for some, but I found it perfect for my needs, giving me enough length to handle various tasks with ease.
However, there were a few aspects that I didn't enjoy as much. The micarta handle, while comfortable, had a liner that took some time to get used to. It felt slightly rough in my hand, but I eventually grew accustomed to it. Another issue was the weight of the knife; at 600 grams, it wasn't the lightest in my collection. This made it a bit cumbersome when I needed to carry multiple knives during my adventures.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Tom Brown Tracker has become my go-to knife for outdoor activities. Its strength, versatility, and sharp edge make it an invaluable tool for any survivalist. Just be prepared for its weight and the adjustment period with the micarta handle, and you'll have a reliable companion for all your adventures.

🔗Introducing the Schrade Trail Boss Fixed Blade Knife: 9" Drop Point, Satin Finish

https://preview.redd.it/2ev5fnnzxcwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd63b3e7226e73da2c429ba11425663590d8fff0

I recently got my hands on the Schrade 1137135 Trail Boss Fixed Blade, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer in my outdoor adventures. The 9-inch full tang blade with its satin finish and 8Cr13MoV stainless steel material is both durable and aesthetically pleasing. The drop point style is a bonus, providing an edge perfect for everyday tasks.
On the other hand, the black and gray TPE handle can be a bit slippery, especially when hands are wet or sweaty. This might be an area of improvement for future models. Overall, the Schrade Trail Boss Fixed Blade has been my reliable companion on all my outdoor excursions, and I'm confident it'll continue to be my go-to.

🔗Gerber Ultimate Fixed Blade Knife: Versatile Tool for Outdoor Adventures

https://preview.redd.it/6kkert30ycwc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e531e0ee797b5c893e73a8c96206231085884cf
The Gerber Ultimate Fixed Blade Knife has been a trusty companion on my various outdoor adventures. The knife's unique features stand out, like the textured rubber grip that provides a secure hold even in wet conditions. The steel hammer pommel has proven to be a versatile tool for breaking down obstacles and starting fires. The emergency whistle built into the handle gives me peace of mind knowing help is just a whistle away if needed. The durable sheath with a sharpener and firestarter provides everything I need in one convenient package, saving me space and resources.
However, there are also areas where the knife could use some improvement. The drop point blade is partially serrated, which means it can handle a variety of tasks, but it isn't perfect for every job. I've found that the serrated edge is a bit finicky when trying to create intricate notches. The firestarter is useful, but the ferrocerium rod can sometimes be a bit hard to ignite. Lastly, the Velcro strap on the sheath is not as strong as I would prefer, causing the sheath to come loose during more strenuous activities.
Overall, the Gerber Ultimate Fixed Blade Knife has proven to be a reliable and multifunctional tool for my outdoor endeavors. Minor flaws aside, it has provided me with the essential features I need for survival in the wild.

The handle is made of anodized aluminum, making it rigid and high erosion resistance, perfect for any harsh conditions. The knife also comes with a seat belt cutter and a window breaker, which can be crucial during an emergency car situation.

The Rough Rider Cinnamon Stag Damascus Canoe Pocket Knife is a true gem for those who appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of Damascus steel blades. With a traditional penknife design, this pocket knife boasts two blades - one large and one small, both polished to a shining finish.
The bolsters are made from nickel silver, while the liners are brass, giving the knife a substantial feel yet a graceful appearance. The scales, crafted from stag, complete the knife's aesthetic appeal and make it a standout in any collection.
Despite its impressive design, the pocket knife remains lightweight and portable at just 85 grams. The handle and blade materials have a tactile quality that's both comfortable and satisfying to grip.
One thing I noticed is the knife's halvhård pull, which can be a bit challenging for beginners. However, with some practice and patience, it becomes easier to master. Overall, the Rough Rider Cinnamon Stag Damascus Canoe Pocket Knife is a stunning piece of workmanship that brings a touch of elegance to any outdoor adventure.

FAQ

Why are biker knives different from other knives?

Biker knives are specifically designed to cater to the needs of bikers for various outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and fishing. They are lightweight, easy to carry, and often have features like a serrated edge for cutting through tough materials.

What are the key features of a good biker knife?

  • Lightweight: Biker knives are designed to be lightweight, allowing for easy carrying in a biker's pocket or backpack.
  • Durable: High-quality biker knives are made from materials like stainless steel or carbon steel to ensure durability and resistance to corrosion.
  • Versatile: A good biker knife should have a variety of features like a locking mechanism, cord cutting capabilities, and a serrated edge for cutting through thick materials.
  • Comfortable: Biker knives often have an ergonomic grip design that makes them comfortable to hold and control, even when wet or muddy.

What are the top brands for biker knives?

Some of the top brands for biker knives include Swiss Army, Gerber, Benchmade, and Buck Knives, known for their quality, durability, and innovative designs.

What is the difference between serrated and plain edges?

Serrated edges are designed to cut through tough materials like rope, nylon, and plastic. They have a saw-like tooth pattern that provides a grip on the material being cut, making it easier to slice through. Plain edges, on the other hand, are better suited for slicing applications and will glide through softer materials like tomato skins and other fruits.

How to choose the right size for a biker knife?

  • Consider the activities for which the knife will be used.
  • Determine how frequently the knife will be carried.
  • Evaluate the size and shape of the knife in relation to its intended use.
  • Ensure that the knife is compact enough to carry easily without taking up too much space.

What is a locking mechanism and why is it important?

A locking mechanism is a feature that securely locks the blade in place when fully opened. This is important for safety reasons, as it prevents accidental opening of the knife and helps maintain its sharpness when it is not in use.

Anyways if you made it this far thanks for looking and my FAQs are next!
FAQ
Where are all your things made? By me, on my 1940s sewing machine, in my craft room.
What materials do you use? For the most part, everything is made in the USA and Berry compliant. Generally speaking, I use the following: AA55301 or MIL-17337 webbing; Berry compliant 500D Cordura; MIL-W-5664 elastic; Berry compliant 550 paracord; Berry compliant shock cord; either Velcro and/or generic hook and loop; and ITW or Duraflex hardware. There may be some outliers. All my thread is a TEX 75 heavy duty thread from a US company.
What will the slings fit through? Anything that has a 1" slot, whether it's a QD, HK clip, plastic clip, rifle sling mount, paracord, zip ties, etc.
How do I install this through something or to my weapon? Step by step procedure here of what I do.
Do I have any clips or QD mounts? Not at this time, no.
Do you do custom work? Sometimes, depending on my schedule, but any transactions would not be through GAFS.
Do I have XXX color or product? If it's not listed I don't have it at this moment. Also, I have only been using Berry compliant webbing and no I have not found waifu webbing that is Berry compliant. Yet.
Why do you do this? In 2022 or so I was in the market for an inexpensive sling in a color other than black and also made in the USA. After I made a few for myself I started to produce these as a low-cost, high quality sling for anyone who was in the same boat I was in. And it's fun, having learned to sew has let me be creative and make myself kit that I like and pass on my "old stuff" to you!

TIMESTAMP
Happy Friday! I’ve got a little something for everyone here today. Like usual, I’ve gotten a bit carried away with purchases and found out this week that I’ve got some big taxes to pay in this year so here we are again. Payments via PayPal G&S with no notes please! Will ship USPS Priority anywhere within the US within 1 business day of receiving payment. Please comment before sending any chats and YOLO takes precedence. Not looking for trades, though I will entertain some for partial trade on the Combat Troodon Delta Frag. As always, thanks for looking!
SOLD Pro-Tech Malibu NYCKS Tiffany Blue Dragon Scale
This is #26 out of the 75 that were made for NYCKS 2024. Tiffany blue (or teal) dragon scale textured handle and black DLC finished magnacut blade with pearl button. I was stoked that I was able to nab one of these once they released them to dealers, but was able to get another knife from that show that I’m definitely more stoked about and would prefer to keep over this since I have to choose. Really just hoping to see my money back on this. Comes with its box and a Pro-Tech coin that I received with a custom I bought, as well as a black and white Pro-Tech knives sticker that I didn’t find again until after taking these pics. This one has obviously never been used/carried/sharpened. It’s just sat in its box in my safe since it arrived earlier this month.
SV: 360
Microtech Combat Troodon T/E Delta Frag Shadow
This will be the last time I list this one. If it doesn’t sell this time I’m just going to hang onto it and dig it out from the back of the safe in a decade or so and call it vintage. Signature Series black DLC M390 fluted tanto blade with textured frag patterned black aluminum handle. All black DLC finished hardware, pocket clip, and glass breaker. Nickel boron internals. First owner. Comes with its Microtech box, folder, and claw sticker along with an OD green and black claw patch. Heck, I even have a patch of each color at this point that you can have your pick of if you don’t want green. Never carried, cut, or sharpened. Safe queen since day 1.
SV: 750, TV 950
Microtech Socom Elite Black Tactical
This will probably be the last time I list this one too. I’m the first owner and I haven’t ever used it, but I sure do enjoy the action on it! Black finished M390 tanto edge partially serrated blade with black anodized aluminum handle with grip inserts. This is the manual version and the action on this one is incredible! Super easy to flick open and is just all around buttery smooth opening and closing. I added the small OD green lanyard with a silver titanium Microtech claw bead when I first got the knife, as I tend to do with some of my knives. Comes with the Microtech box, folder, and claw sticker, along with another Microtech sticker that I believe came with this knife from the dealer. I’ll even toss in a patch of your choice between green, grey, and tan. Never cut, carried, or sharpened.
SV: 290
Spyderco PM2 Teal
Satin finished s90v blade with teal G-10 handle. First owner and I have not gone to reach for this even once since purchasing it quite some time back, so with my current financial burden, I’m deciding to let go of this beauty. I simply love my Crucarta PM2 and only ever carry that one out of all the PM2’s I’ve collected over time. Comes with its packaging and sticker. Never cut, carried or sharpened.
SV: 160
Spyderco PM2 Salt Black G10
Black DLC coated magnacut with blade G-10 handle. First owner and while this is another one that I really just love the look of, I have come to find that I don’t think I’ll ever love another PM2 the way I love my Crucarta so here’s another that is simply taking up space for me. Comes with its packaging and sticker. It has never cut, been carried, or sharpened.
**I just want to state this because I know I’m going to have people trying to talk me down quite a bit right off the bat. Yes, I am aware that this was on a 24 hour sale a couple days ago for $170, though not ALL dealers decided to bother with changing their pricing for those 24 hours (such as most of the small guys). I got this a solid month ago, so I definitely didn’t score that good deal and I can’t drop my price to match just because it was on sale for 24 hours with some dealers.
SV: 220
SOLD Zero Tolerance 0308 Coyote Tan
CPM 20CV stonewash finished drop point blade with coyote tan G10 front handle scale and titanium back handle scale. Heavily 3D machined for an ultra secure grip. This thing is BEEFY! I’m the first owner and I’m honestly not sure what I was thinking ordering this without checking out the weight specs on it, but it’s one solid knife! It flips real easily for being such a chonk. This knife has a lot of really great features that I didn’t even fully read about until after I got it. It’s just too hefty for me unless I find myself in a completely different line of work in the future. Comes with its packaging which is in pristine condition. Was taken out of its box when I first got it in the mail to check it out and then immediately put in safe until I took these pics. Never cut, carried, or sharpened.
SV: 300
SOLD Spyderco Para 3 LW DLC
Black DLC finished CTS-BD1N stainless steel clip point blade with textured black FRN handle scales. This one has cut a couple small pieces of thin plastic but it has never been carried or sharpened. I’m the first owner and have only had for about 2 weeks and just don’t think I’m a para 3 fan. Blade has favored the clip side since I got it. Comes with its packaging and sticker.
SV: 105
SOLD Civivi Baby Banter
Black stonewash finished Nitro-V steel drop point blade with jade G-10 handle scales. I carried this once and have cut a couple letters open with it around the house. Its factory edge is extremely slicey! I added a lanyard to it that made it a lot easier to grab out of pocket given how small it is. Great little knife that I'd actually keep if I didn't have to pick through the collection. Comes with its taco pouch, protective plastic bag, cleaning cloth, and sticker.
SV: 45
Pro-Tech Malibu Scales Set
Smooth black anodized aluminum set of Pro-Tech Malibu scales in perfect condition. These came off of a brand new 5203 that I did a scale swap on and I no longer have a want/need for these.
SV: 25
SOLD Flytanium Mini Bugout Crossfade Titanium Scales Set
Titanium stonewash colored crossfade scales for mini Bugout. Bought new with a couple other sets to mod all of my mini Bugouts. Once they were on though, I really didn’t like the look of them with the coated blade finish and I already have the exact same set of these on a different blade finish mini bug, so I ended up taking these back off a couple nights later. I never wound up carrying them but not sure if I still have the original plastic pouch they came in. They’re currently stored inside a plastic pouch though.

🔗Western Fashion Tack Cognac/Basketweave Knife Sheath XW3-3

https://preview.redd.it/ge483c3hpruc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e9fadcc90878d86538bd3194ed5d10d770ae055
I recently stumbled upon the Western Fashion Twisted x Cognac/Basketweave Knife Sheath XW3-3, and my first impression was that of a charming and versatile addition to my collection. The brand, Western Fashion Tack, has always been known for its quality, and this sheath is no exception.
The distinct color, Western Fashion Tack, gives this sheath an air of sophistication, while the basketweave pattern makes it a stand-out piece. The dimensions, 7.0 x 3.0 x 1.0 inches, and a weight of 1.28 ounces, make it a perfect fit for any adventure. Despite its small size, it's sturdy and reliable, making it an excellent companion for my throwing knives.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks that I've noticed during my usage. The material used in the sheath is prone to scratches and may not be as durable as expected. Additionally, it seems to be a little tight when trying to put it on or take it off the knife. These minor issues don't detract too much from the overall quality of the product.
In conclusion, the Western Fashion Twisted x Cognac/Basketweave Knife Sheath XW3-3 is a stylish and reliable option for any knife enthusiast, despite the minor drawbacks. With the brand's reputation for quality, I can confidently recommend this sheath to anyone looking to elevate their collection.

🔗Beautiful Floral Filigree Leather Knife Sheath with White Buck Lacing

https://preview.redd.it/dv0i34ihpruc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b24deab36b6acfdba8489f936e397b66f02abe8
I recently tried out the Nocona Floral Filigree Suede Underlay Knife Sheath by M&F Western Products, and I must say, it's a beautiful addition to any pocket knife. The black leather exterior, adorned with blue suede underlay and a flower accent, gives this sheath a delicate yet durable touch. Trimmed with white buck lace stitching, it looks and feels premium.
Carrying my knife has never been more fashionable, and this sheath easily fits up to a 2" belt. The 100% leather construction assures it'll last long, making it a solid investment for a knife enthusiast. However, I did notice that the sheath can take some time to break in and may require some adjustment to fit the knife perfectly. Overall, this Nocona Floral Filigree Suede Underlay Knife Sheath is a fashionable and functional accessory that adds a touch of elegance to any pocket knife.

🔗Black Click-Lock Beast Sheath for Throwing Knives

https://preview.redd.it/esc1hyshpruc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8dbc058d5bb661521db9a951c5f3842e2d0ff882
When I first got the Hoffner Knives Standard Beast Sheath, I thought it was just another boring accessory for my throwing knife. Boy, was I wrong. This sleek, black beauty quickly became an essential part of my knife arsenal.
The sheath's standard click-lock retention system made it effortless to grab my knife on the go, and the tighter retention kept it securely in place when I wasn't using it. However, it did take some practice to figure out how to lock and retrieve the knife without accidentally causing injury.
One downside was that I had to purchase a separate lanyard Beast sheath to hold my knife with its lanyard. The sheath with a lanyard wouldn't fit in the standard sheath, which was a bit inconvenient. But overall, the Hoffner Knives Standard Beast Sheath was a reliable addition to my collection and provided the perfect combination of style and function.

🔗Versatile brown leather sheath for bushcraft knives

https://preview.redd.it/hx813x3ipruc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a83fe496058af1e65bd8ee864c3381c21aa66db
During a recent camping trip, I had the privilege of using a Tops Bushcraft Sheath made from brown leather. As a lover of the outdoors, its durable and classic look immediately appealed to me. The sheath fit my Brothers of Bushcraft fixed blade perfectly and was quite sturdy, ready for the trials of our bushcraft expeditions.
What really stood out was its integrated ferro rod attachment point, which saved me the hassle of carrying a separate rod. The added fire starter and survival whistle were thoughtful touches that kept me prepared for any emergencies that might arise. The dangler clip closure also made it easy to securely attach the sheath to my belt or backpack.
However, the nylon straps in the ferro rod attachment point seemed a bit flimsy and prone to damage. Additionally, the leather itself felt a bit stiff initially, which made my grip on the blade less secure. The bulk packaging was another minor drawback, as it did take up more space in my luggage than I would have preferred.
Despite these minor issues, the Tops Bushcraft Sheath proved to be a reliable and stylish companion during my outdoor adventures. It definitely lives up to its reputation as a high-quality bushcraft accessory that not only looks good but also performs well in the field.

🔗Suede Sword Sheath for 31-inch Swords

https://preview.redd.it/w3b8myjipruc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2aa6021bb582be97d71d5af709f992dceb4ee113

🔗3D Brown Leather Diamond Beaded Knife Sheath

https://preview.redd.it/v4fntkuipruc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e16687bcfd321208489afc5366574636a7d1d87a
I recently had the chance to use the 3D Knife Sheath Vertical Southwest Diamond Brown in my daily life. The first thing I noticed was the soft 100% genuine leather that provided a luxurious sensation to the touch. It's made in a vertical style, which adds an elegant touch to my pocket knife's appearance.
One feature that stood out was the southwest diamond resin beaded inlay, which not only looked eye-catching but also added a unique flair to the sheath. The loop for the belt was easy to use and conveniently secured the sheath on my belt.
However, there were some drawbacks to using this sheath. Firstly, it was quite bulky which made it difficult to carry around, particularly in instances where I needed to quickly grab my pocket knife. Secondly, the beaded inlay also made the sheath slightly heavier.
Overall, despite these drawbacks, the 3D Knife Sheath Vertical Southwest Diamond Brown has its own charm and adds a touch of elegance to my pocket knife.

🔗Boker Gnome Pancake Style Leather Sheath with Floral Tooling

https://preview.redd.it/ppsyas8jpruc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=040dd4ecc229350e5e8fc2654b6729b2d0909395
As a lover of all things leather, the 3D knife sheath from M&F Western Products instantly caught my eye. The sturdy brown leather felt like a natural extension of my hand, while the intricate floral tooling on the outside added an unexpected yet delightful touch of beauty. Using this sheath to carry my pocket knife has been a game-changer; it's so comfortable and well-made that I don't even realize I'm carrying it.
My only minor gripe is that it might not be the best choice for people who prefer a more understated look. Overall, I'd highly recommend this sheath for anyone in search of both practicality and aesthetics.

Buyer's Guide

The Boker Gnome Sheath is a popular choice among those looking for a quality sheath to protect their knives. When considering this product category, it's essential to know the key features and considerations before making a purchase. Here, we'll discuss the most important aspects to help you make an informed decision.

Material and Construction

https://preview.redd.it/buej3jpjpruc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c5da326f5c9a98cb342856a7c7f67d4395f67772
The quality of materials used in the construction of the sheath is crucial. Durable and long-lasting materials such as leather, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), or nylon are good options. Consider the weather resistance and how well the sheath will protect the knife during various conditions.

Comfort and Ease of Use

The sheath should be comfortable to wear and easy to use. Look for adjustable straps, good weight distribution, and a secure grip. Some sheaths also include locking mechanisms to protect the user and those around them from accidental cuts or injuries.

Compatibility

Ensure the sheath is compatible with the knife size and type you are using. Some sheaths are designed for specific knife models, while others are more versatile and can accommodate a variety of knives. Inquire about the manufacturer's compatibility guidelines and always double-check before purchasing.

Maintenance and Care

Clean and maintain the sheath regularly to preserve its quality and longevity. Follow the manufacturer's recommended cleaning and care instructions and avoid using harsh chemicals that can damage the materials used in the sheath.

Durability and Warranty

Consider the durability of the sheath and if it comes with a warranty. A sturdy sheath will last longer, providing better protection for your knife. Warranties can offer additional peace of mind and help cover any manufacturing defects or wear and tear issues.

Price and Value

https://preview.redd.it/4yukmrmkpruc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=98a165e09430c9c2d6e0a1eb5f03fa226c472e73
Determine your budget and prioritize the features that are most important to you. While a more expensive sheath may offer additional features and benefits, a cheaper option can still provide adequate protection for your knife. Consider the overall value of the sheath, rather than just the price.

Reputation and Reviews

Research the manufacturer's reputation and read customer reviews to get a better understanding of the quality and performance of their sheaths. Reviews can offer valuable insights into the product's reliability, durability, and customer satisfaction.
By considering these factors and following the advice provided, you'll be better equipped to find the right Boker Gnome Sheath for your needs.

anyone know how to make these?
hi! so i've been meaning to branch off from making just plain old pattern and/or x-base cuffs for a little bit now.
i've found two pieces i've been wanting to try for a little bit now. first, i found a pattern for a lanyard that i think i know how to start but i think the way it's laid out might be confusing me
pattern credit to GaI_KaNdI_Kid on kandipatterns.com !!
the second item i'm not rlly sure how to look up to find a tutorial for. I found the cuff on pinterest and i've seen other ones like it on here a while ago but can't remember what they're called for the life of me,,, i do know that it's some type of modified x-based cuff though.

if anyone could help in some way it would be super appreciated ^^ !!!
